Remy Ma Wants To Create A Fund To Help Women Having Trouble Conceiving A Child

(AllHipHop News) Remy Ma was very open about her struggle with an ectopic pregnancy, a condition where the embryo attaches to the woman’s fallopian tubes rather than the uterus.

The Bronx spitter and her husband Papoose shared the difficult situation of losing a child during a season of the Love & Hip Hop reality show.

According to Remy, 80% of women that cannot have children due to medical concerns would be able to give birth with financial assistance.

She is now looking to provide some of that help.

“I’m trying to start my own fund right now, so that women who are like me or have a similar situation to me, but they can’t afford it, could possibly get these procedures done and have children,” Remy told Essence. “Because as a woman, that’s one of the things that you can do that no other being can do.”

Mobb Deep’s Havoc Discusses Prodigy’s Illness & Death

(AllHipHop News) The Hip Hop world is still dealing with the loss of Albert “Prodigy” Johnson.

Prodigy’s musical partner, Kejuan “Havoc” Muchita, spoke about the Queen emcee’s death in a video posted on TMZ.

“We’re used to P going to the hospital. Not like every day, but we’ve been dealing with this for over 20 years,” explained Havoc about Prodigy’s battle with sickle-cell disease. “P goes to the hospital, stays in for like three days, five tops, he gets back better, and he’s out.”

According to Havoc, he was told Prodigy was getting better day-by-day during his most recent hospital stint.

“And then yesterday, the day of my little son’s graduation, somebody called me saying that somebody told them they heard a weird rumor,” Prodigy stated. “This was at 11 o’clock in the morning that they heard P passed away in a Las Vegas hospital.”

Originally, Havoc thought the news was a lie, but he later found out from his road manager that Prodigy had really passed away.

The surviving Mobb Deep member learned of the tragic news while he was driving with his children in the car.

“I can’t even listen to ‘Shook Ones’ or any song. I could hardly look at the pictures,” said Havoc.

The West Coast rap legend took to Twitter to dismiss the talk of his association with a biopic about him.

“This is Jive. If there’s news about [DJ Quik], you’ll hear it from me,” tweeted Quik.

He added in another tweet, “The world is full of jive motherf-ckers.”

Lil Wayne Sells Florida Mansion For Half Of The Listed Price

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Wayne has finally offloaded his Miami Beach mansion after accepting almost half the original selling price.

The “Lollipop” hitmaker first listed the Florida property for $18 million in April 2015, just a month after police officers descended upon the home after receiving a hoax call about four people being shot at the address.
It has taken him more than two years to offload the property but it has finally been sold for $10 million nearly half the original asking price, according to the Miami Herald.

He bought the home in 2011 for $11.6 million.

The rapper’s home, which boasts nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, rooftop skate park, recording studio, and a shark lagoon, has made the headlines on another occasion too.

In November 2015, authorities raided his property to seize the star’s belongings, including expensive pieces from his art collection, after he allegedly racked up more than a million dollars in unpaid private jet fees.

Kendrick Lamar, Dave Chappelle Heading To Rihanna’s Diamond Ball

(AllHipHop News) Rihanna has recruited comedian Dave Chappelle and rapper Kendrick Lamar for her 2017 Diamond Ball.

This will be the singer’s third annual event to raise funds for her Clara Lionel Foundation, and she thinks this could be the biggest show to date.

“I’m thrilled that the incomparable Dave Chappelle will kick things off as the official host of this year’s Diamond Ball and Kendrick Lamar will take the stage for an unforgettable performance,” Rihanna said.

The first Diamond Ball was held in 2014 and featured Jimmy Kimmel as host, special guest Brad Pitt and a performance from Rihanna herself, while Kevin Hart and Lionel Richie were the stars of the show in 2015.

Rihanna did not host a Diamond Ball last year.

Rihanna, who accepted Harvard University’s 2017 Humanitarian of the Year award in February, set up the Clara Lionel Foundation, named after her grandparents, in 2012.

The Diamond Ball will be held in September.

LOL! Nelly Has Some Questions For Al Sharpton

(AllHipHop Rumors) Someone please come get the Reverend!

Rev. Al Sharpton has been acting up with his selfie game on Instagram lately. Well indirectly. Apparently Al has been snapping, what he believes to be, some nice pics and they are getting “leaked” and are spreading like wild fire on social media.

It looks like a typical hilarious social media post from an older person. The angles are all wrong and he appears to be doing the absolute most. But we love it because it’s like your grandfather or uncle on the ‘gram.

As if one photo wasn’t enough, at least two others have surfaced along with a video that shows Sharpton almost attempting to do a one-handed push up.

Well rapper Nelly is all of us as he had some questions about the selfies that need answers immediately!

“Who in the hell is he sending these pictures to Cicely Tyson …!! Im the first one to say let a homie live but Ngga …. I need answers.”

“I say we boycott IG until we find out who in the hell is leaking these AL Sharpton pictures..!!! #WHOSWITHME….????” posted Nelly.

The photos are hilarious. Btw Al Sharpton said if we have a president who tweets all night, he can get up at 5 AM and show the world that he’s exercising. LOL. Come get AL!

A Recovering 40 Glocc Sends More Shots At Wack 100!

(AllHipHop Rumors) 40 Glocc hasn’t even fully healed from being shot in the chest and the arm, and he’s already back on social media threatening Wack 100.

I’m going to need him to relax and heal before he decides to exercise those keyboard thuggin’ fingers.

Apparently 40 got word that Wack 100 was still throwing dirt on his name despite the fact that he’d just been shot.

That didn’t stop 40 from firing back some shots of his own to Wack!

“Y’all know God wasn’t letting a 100% busta take me out with no sucka move like that! At my lil homie funeral. God let me eat all them 45 shells at point blank range to my chest & arm like a happy meal….b-tch a-s cowards ain’t give me sh-t but a $160K hospital bill…and f-ck my tats up. The last of a dead breed…The gimmicks is up I’m back. I love y’all. I’m blessed. #Godschild.

IM STILL BREATHING. .. F-CK MY ENIMIEZ 100%.. DIE SLOW B-TCH… & I WILL BEAT THE BRAKES OFF @WACK100 WITH THESE FRESH BULLET WOUNDS IN ME..AND STILL GOT A BULLET BY MY SPINE..I SEEN THAT B-TCH N-GGA TALKING SH-T ABOUT ME AS HE THOUGHT THE HOSPITAL WAS MY DEATH BED TALKING SH-T LIKE A B-TCH & WISHING DEATH UPON ME… THE ONLY SNITCH IS HIM..?? #GetTheBag #WestCoast
#Muscle #Music #California #40Glocc #Zoolife #ZooGang #YonJu #Fittness #Fitness #Gunit #50cent #Gym #Chest #SupportTheReal #Rachet #TheGimmicksUp #ImBack,” said 40.

Was Wack wrong for still talking about this man after he [could’ve] almost lost his life, or is it once an enemy, always an enemy? It’s good to see that 40 was able to pull through.

REST IN POWER: IN HONOR OF PRODIGY

(AllHipHop Features) The Hip-Hop Nation is collectively saddened, hurt and devastated over the loss of Albert “Prodigy” Johnson, half of the classic rap act Mobb Deep.

The stunning news spread all across the world in a matter of minutes. I found out from a friend vacationing in Puerto Rico who called to verify the news. I was stunned to realize almost immediately that Nas had posted condolences on Instagram. And then my phone, texts and DM’s just began going off non-stop. Prodigy. Not Prodigy.

A post shared by Chuck Jigsaw Creekmur (@chuckcreekmur)

Relationships with an artist can be dicey as a journalist as the owner of an informational outlet. But, I liked Prodigy and I realized we’ve all supported each other heavily over the course of a couple of decades. It is weird how you realize how deeply somebody permeates into your life and times.

I had interviewed P recently and he seemed to be taking extreme care of himself. He made sure he ate prior to leaving the interview and we talked a lot about the world we live in as it related to his new album.

He was planning to do a health book rooted in his workout regiment and had already done a cookbook rooted in his specific dietary needs as an individual living with sickle cell anemia.

And P was plotting two more solo albums to accompany his recently released Hegelian Dialectic (The Book of Revelation) and had recorded for a new Mobb Deep album too. AllHipHop.com’s Final Interview With Prodigy Of Mobb Deep was deep and it underscored how profound a thinker Prodigy was.

PLEASE READ: AllHipHop’s Final Incredible Interview With Prodigy Of Mobb Deep

On the music front, you would be hard-pressed to find a finer lyricist. Mobb Deep’s first three albums (We’ll put Juvenile Hell to the side for now) are a 3-piece outing very, very few Hip-Hop act can claim. The Infamous (1995), Hell on Earth (1996), Murda Muzik (1999) were all certified classics that would fuel the group’s longevity and cement their legend.

The reality is, their work after these albums is nothing to sneeze at, even if some of it was largely slept on.

I wasn’t sleeping though.

Both P and Hav were creatives with few peers.

Prodigy, for example, teamed up with The Alchemist on Albert Einstein (2013) and released a slew of solo material people vibe to this day. I hope people go back and give those albums another listen.

On a another note…let’s be very clear.

Most of New York Hip-Hop was silent when chaos was raining down with Tupac and Death Row. Make no mistake about this, Prodigy was among a very brave – one hand few – that held it down. “Drop A Gem On ‘Em” was one of the most underrepresented diss tracks, mainly because Tupac was murdered before it came out.

Truth is, P was fearless in ways we will never truly know. He lived with Sickle Cell and has faced death for years.

He Lived.

And he made a huge difference in the lives of the people he touched. I can’t tell you how my inbox, social media and phone have been flooded with personal memories. Just look up #RIPprodigy. We are going back and forth with P’s lyrics, remembering how ill he was.

My Alpha brother reminded me that, when I was on the radio, I played “Shook Ones II” to the Kappas the day before a big step show. We laughed. And Lisa Evers tweeted me the time she, Prodigy, Maino, myself and others were on the first pilot episode of Street Soldiers. Prodigy and Raekwon celebrating AllHipHop.com’s 15th Anniversary a few years go and we all stood on the same stage as the legend. Recently, one of my team joined Prodigy, AZ and Raekwon for a new song featuring all three. It was like P was a magnet and we went wherever he was.

When Grouchy Greg, Phat Phillie and a gang of us were over in The Netherlands at New Skool Rules, we were straight wilding’ to “Shook Ones II.”

A post shared by Chuck Jigsaw Creekmur (@chuckcreekmur)

I can’t tell you how dope it was to get P’s info the last time I saw him. I was honored and really don’t know if I would have used it. I have everybody’s info and some people just sit in that glass and you just watch them do great things. I don’t mind that. I appreciate that. I always feel guilty mourning so hard over stars, but I have come to terms that these people are as much a part of our lives as friends and family.

Maybe more. I remember Juvenile Hell. I remember playing “Shook Ones I.” Then came The Infamous, “Shook Ones II” and all the obscure songs like “Bloodshed & War” with Da Youngstas. There have literally been countless hours listening to Mobb Deep and Prodigy since they hit the scene. I look into the archives of AllHipHop and realize that we have indeed lived with P on so many levels its mind-blowing.

Man, we all loved Prodigy even in the difficult times.

Honestly, he never failed us, even when we failed him. He never stopped putting out dope music. Never stopped performing. Never stopped touring. Never stopping giving back. He was a better person when he passed away and this is why we feel the tragedy so deeply. We saw a smarter, wiser, stronger Prodigy than ever before.

He was never, ever shook. And for that we are all a bit more powerful.

Rest P.

Swizz Beatz Comes Out On Top In $42 Million Racketeering Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) A $42 million lawsuit against rapper/producer Swizz Beatz has been dismissed.

Bosses at Brooklyn, New York company Metro-Gem Leasing & Funding Corp. filed a civil racketeering lawsuit last year, claiming Swizz, real name Kasseem Dean, leased 11 cars for himself and his wife Alicia Keys through his production company, and then “conspired” with auto dealer Macky Dancy to sell a Ferrari F-12 car to a third party after its lease went into default.

Metro-Gem’s lawyer Paul Solda also alleged that four other car leases went into default.

The lawsuit was dismissed, according to reports.

“This lawsuit was nothing more than an attempted shakedown of a public figure that had nothing to do with the facts,” Dean’s attorney told TMZ.com. “We are gratified, but not surprised, that the court agreed with us.”

Azealia Banks Believes Jay Z Should Hire Her!

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like crazy azz Azealia Banks is campaigning for a position over at Roc Nation.

Y’all know Jay Z ain’t going for it. Banks has accused many of stealing her rap style and fashion style over the last few years. It’s really to no surprise that she took to her Instagram to accuse SZA of biting her style also. Apparently she thinks she inspired SZA’s look with SZA [in her mind] striving to copy the “genius” that is Azealia Banks.

One fan told Banks that she needed to focus on herself so that she can one day get signed.

“Girl focus on yourself…..Roc nation will sign you once you do that.” said the fan.

Banks replied by saying,

“@Shoppingbaggwatts it’s just silly at this point. Roc Nation nation is always trying to recreate my sh-t with their female artists. It’s actually quite silly. They should just hire me to A&R all of these projects the right way.”

It ain’t happening sis! You blew every chance you had to do anything. Do you think Banks would be a good A&R though?

Is Drake Dating The Weeknd’s Ex?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Did Drizzy break the bro code?

Wait a minute! I thought it was OVO & XO. LOL. Drake was recently spotted at The Nice Guy with The Weeknd’s ex Bella Hadid. The two were said to be hanging out until 4 in the morning.

Apparently the two tried to throw people off by exiting out of different exits and riding in separate vehicles. There’s one thing though, both of the vehicles belonged to Drake.

Well they could just be industry friends, or they could just be smashing. What are your thoughts? If they are hooking up, maybe this is karma for The Weeknd for dating his ex Bella’s former friend Selena Gomez.

Is Bella even a baddie though?

Big Boi Discusses How Former Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid Helped His Career (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Veteran music business executive L.A. Reid is responsible for helping to advance the careers of OutKast, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, TLC, Usher, Rihanna, Pink, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Future, 21 Savage, and others.

However, Reid’s legacy took a hit this year when he was accused of harassing an employee while working at Epic Records.

Those reports emerged shortly after it was announced Reid would no longer serve as Chairman/CEO of the label.

Everyday Struggle host Joe Budden strongly criticized the former Island Def Jam Music Group head.

Budden called Reid a “sexual predator” and blasted his ex-boss for not truly understanding Hip Hop culture or rappers.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, OutKast’s Big Boi was asked about Reid’s connection to Hip Hop.

“The track record speaks for itself. We’re the only rap group to ever win Album of the Year at the Grammys. We still got that belt,” stated Big about the man who signed his group to LaFace Records in the early 1990’s. “I’m not a platinum recording artist. I’m a diamond recording artist.”

The Atlanta native also talked about how Reid and LaFace allowed OutKast to own their publishing which is a source of income that many signed acts are not initially granted.

Big Boi addressed receiving business advice from his longtime associate as well.

“L.A. taught me to invest in what you know,” he revealed.

According to Big, it appears Reid is not done making moves in the entertainment industry.

The “Mic Jack” spitter stated, “He’s good. Y’all just stay tuned.”

Big Boi just dropped his third solo album Boomiverse which was released through Epic Records.

Prodigy Was Reportedly Working On A Musical About The Illuminati Before His Death

(AllHipHop News) “Illuminati want my mind, soul and my body,” rapped Prodigy on the 1995 LL Cool J song “I Shot Ya (Remix).”

After the news broke of Prodigy’s passing, Kathy Iandoli – the co-author of the emcee’s Commissary Kitchen spoke to Complex about what the Queens native was working on next.

“The one thing we were planning on doing was a musical about the Illuminati and how the obsession with the Illuminati infiltrated people’s opinions of Hip Hop,” said Iandoli.

She added, “We were initially going to do an interactive type of musical with a company that runs The Illuminati Ball, but then we decided to take our idea to an off-Broadway situation. Tell a story with a very specific beginning, middle, and end. But [the story] began with prison; it was semi-autobiographical.”

Prodigy’s music career has included several references to the so-called secret society.

There is a song titled “Illuminati” on his 2008 album H.N.I.C. Pt. 2, and he also covered the topic on his recent The Hegelian Dialectic project.

Earlier this year, the Mobb Deep member spoke to Genius about the Five-Percent Nation, the Nation of Islam, Malachi Z. York, Beyoncé’s “Formation,” and the Illuminati.

“We’re actually at a home of a friend of mine, Cynthia [von Buhler]. She does these immersive plays,” explained Prodigy from the Illuminati Ball House in New York. “I’m actually a part of one of them and we’re working on another one. The original one that we worked on is called The Illuminati Ball. We actually do it here in the house.”

When asked to describe the Illuminati, Prodigy responded, “This dude named Adam Weishaupt started this group of powerful, rich people that basically shape popular opinion and the way the world is gonna move forward.”
