Young Thug & Birdman Accused Of Conspiring To Kill Lil Wayne

(AllHipHop News) The news that Birdman may have thrown a drink at Lil Wayne at a nightclub seemed drastic, but a new report suggests the Cash Money Records co-founder may have gone to more extreme measures against his former protegé.

According to Atlanta’s WSBTV, court documents claim Birdman conspired with Young Thug to try and kill Wayne. A Cobb County indictment filed in June states Thug and Birdman were involved in a RICO conspiracy to have Wayne’s tour bus shot.

The incident allegedly stems from Wayne’s attempt to leave Cash Money for lack of payments. Thug apparently threatened Wayne, and the “Stoner” rhymer’s road manager Jimmy Winfrey (aka PeeWee Roscoe) carried out that threat. According to the indictment, Winfrey was driving the vehicle involved in the shooting.

“After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, [Winfrey] and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by [Lil Wayne’s] group,” the indictment reads. “[That’s when] the white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.”

Winfrey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street. His next court date is scheduled for Friday, July 17.

Thug and Birdman have not been charged in the tour bus shooting.

Patchwerk Recording Studios Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Charity 5K Run/Walk

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta-based Patchwerk Recording Studios opened its doors in 1995. The facility that housed the recording sessions for 50 Cent, Beyoncé, Rick Ross, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Whitney Houston, and many others is celebrating its 20 year anniversary by giving back to the community.

Instead of organizing a party or concert event, Patchwerk is focusing on health and wellness with a 5K walk/run. The first annual IdOMUSIC 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 1st at 8 am. The course will begin and end at Patchwerk’s Midtown Atlanta location. Light appetizers and healthy snacks will be served as part of a post-race celebration.

Profits from the run/walk will be donated to The MusiCares Foundation. Patchwerk Recordings was founded by former Atlanta Falcons Offensive Tackle Bob Whitfield. To be honest, we don’t want to hear Ciara sing; we just want to see her dance. The singer was also ridiculed for her Black Girls Rock performance as memes floated around asking what song required that much emotion from Ciara. Recently CiCi has been picked on online for singing the National Anthem. Although it wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t great. It was still more than we thought she had. NJ Police Investigating Fetty Wap in Connection to ShopRite Cashier Assault

(AllHipHop News) Last Friday (July 10), a Paramus, NJ ShopRite cashier alleges that he was initially slapped by a female customer  before her male companions proceeded to assault him inside of the establishment, reports TMZ. The young man whose identity has yet to be released, spoke with police and conveyed his thoughts that Fetty Wap may have been one of the assailants, but he conceded that he is not convinced that the “My Way” rapper actually participated in the attack.

Even though the victim has declined to press charges for the minor injures that he sustained, if the cops identify Fetty Wap as a suspect the “Trap Queen” aficionado could still be arrested. Check out the video; is there any reason for Fetty to fret?

Did “Mom Breezy”, aka Chris Brown’s mom Joyce Hawkins, post a cryptic message on her Twitter account about Chris Brown’s recent home invasion? It seems like it. Chris Brown was recently a victim of a home invasion where the intruders turned the house upside down and held his aunt at gunpoint. Brown’s mom tweeted,

“Watch who you standing beside.”

Is “Mom Breezy” saying Chris was possibly set up by someone he knows? After all, a lot of break ins are done by acquaintances.

It has been said that Scandrick has now filed a restraining order against Draya. ‘Ant-Man’ Is A Comic/Action Hit

When I think about my comic book experiences growing up, if I was collecting my comic book for the week, the only way I knew about Ant-Man was from The Mighty Avengers comic book. knowing that his Pym Particles made him grow and shrink were, next to The Vision or Ironman, was more lack luster of a hero you aspire to as a kid.

Marvel went out on a limb doing a movie with the The Guardians Of The Galaxy but, the action/comedic approach worked like a charm. Last night, I saw a screening of Ant-Man. Let’s all be real, approaching this in a comedic way was the best approach. Using Michael Douglas, an establish and great actor as Dr. Pym the retired Ant-Man, another great decision. The comedy really shined when Paul Rudd delivered a great performance as the modern day Ant-Man, giving the Ant-Man story line a fresh new take with his background of a cat burglar really worked.. A huge bonus was the delivery of Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris. T.I. really can act, and showed his comedic skill in this movie.

It would be hard to carry a superhero title with all comedy. Seeing clips of the “original” Ant-Man fighting covert wars in the 80’s, I started sitting at up in my seat. And when Ant-Man fought an Avenger (I’m trying to limit my spoilers), I thought that might have been the best action in the movie! Of course, the movie has a true antagonist, Corey Stoll played the Yellow Jacket villain predictably but, the action sequences were phenomenal. Ant-Man truly brought you into a “micro world” that Marvel immersed you into and, experiencing this in 3D is truly the best way to watch this movie.

For fans of Marvel, superhero, action and comedy films, you will like this movie. It’s a solid flick from Marvel and won’t disappoint you. Perfect for the family and, Marvel keeps its every growing storyline continuing with the bonus footage past both the credits rolls, so make sure you watch the entire movie.

Ant-Man will be in theaters on July 17th.

Young Thug’s Arrest Stems From Threatening To Shoot Someone In The Face

Details have emerged regarding Young Thug’s arrest on terrorist threats charges.

According to Billboard, Thugger’s warrant stems from a July 7th incident where he was escorted out of Atlanta’s Perimeter Mall for criminal trespass. As he was being shown to the door, the 22-year-old threatened to shoot a mall security guard in their face “with the purpose of terrorizing him.”

The “Stoner” rapper will appear in front of a judge today for a bond hearing.

U.S Marshalls arrested him at his Sandy Springs, GA home around 6 a.m this morning (July 15). Young Thug reportedly cooperated during his arrest.

Young Thug Arrested On Terrorist Threat Charges

Young Thug was arrested this morning (July 15) on terrorist threat charges, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. U.S Marshals were acting on an outstanding warrant issued by the Dunwoody police department when they arrived at his home in the Sandy Springs section of Georgia around 6 a.m.

There are no details about the situation that led to his arrest. Thugger, born Jeffery Lamar Williams, will be transferred to DeKalb County Jail for his court appearance and bond hearing.

“Williams was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an incident that occurred with the jurisdiction of the Dunwoody police,” said Jim Joyner, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals.
