Since killing Trayvon, George Zimmerman has had a host of run-ins with the law dealing with guns, assault and domestic abuse. Zimmerman has been allegedly also involved in a road rage incident – all because 12 jurors in Florida let him go. Take a listen as Charlamagne rightfully rips this savage of a human being for posting pictures of a lifeless Trayvon Martin.
Apparently it’s crush and cuffing season. Entertainers have been admitting their crushes left and right. Yo Gotti recently revealed he has a crush on Angela Simmons. Gotti made Angela his #WCW and rapped about her in his song “Down In The DM.” We wonder will these two end up together. This may be a fun ride for Simmons.
Brooklyn rap stalwart Shabaam Sahdeeq’s impressive, two-decade-long run of releases continues to grow stronger with certified slapper “Get It,” the lead single off his new Modern Artillery EP.
You’d think spending 20 years in the game would tire an MC out, right? Absolutely not, and Sahdeeq proves that as he bullies his way through a playful beat from the Amsterdam-based producer, Big Ape. He weaves together bright bursts of bells and chopped-up guitars into a boom-bap instrumental primed for his rapping collaborator, who’s getting his by any means necessary. Amid braggadocio and sharp bits of personal advice for anyone listening, Sahdeeq delivers a raw mission statement on what you can expect from his upcoming project: “Want that pure-pure? S-Dub’s supplyin’ it/ So when you hear that b#######, you ain’t even buyin’ it.”
The Modern Artillery EP is due out Oct. 13 via Dutch/Swedish label Elite Fleet Records. Four days later, tape heads can pick up a copy for their decks as part of Cassette Store Day.

(AllHipHop News) Young Thug associate Jimmy “PeeWee Roscoe” Winfrey is facing charges connected to Lil Wayne’s tour bus being shot at earlier this year. Winfrey’s legal team is making an interesting argument as to why their client is not guilty of trying to kill Wayne.
According to TMZ, lawyers for Winfrey claim the former road manager for Thug did not have a reason to hurt Wayne. They are attempting to downplay the alleged beef between Thugger and Weezy.
The attorneys contend the issues between the two performers never reached the level of a major rap feud such as The Notorious B.I.G./2Pac dispute which left both emcees dead. The lawyers even reportedly used a sports analogy connected to starting quarterbacks of NFL divisional opponents.
“Clearly, the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are rivals because they are fighting every year to win the same division: the NFC South,” Winfrey’s lawyer is quoted as saying. “Yet, this does not provide a motive for Drew Brees to kill or maim Matt Ryan.”
New Orleans Saints’ Dree Brees + Atlanta Falcons’ Matt Ryan
This latest approach comes in stark contrast to reports that Winfrey believed Bryan “Birdman/Baby” Williams – Lil Wayne’s boss at Cash Money Records – was responsible for the violent incident. Court documents were said to include the statement, “[Birdman’s] financial dispute with [Lil Wayne] is what ultimately led to the shooting.”
At the time of the altercation in Atlanta, Baby and Thug were closely aligned. However, Thugger never officially signed with Cash Money or Birdman’s Rich Gang Management team.
A Cobb County indictment filed in June alleged the “Lifestyle” collaborators were directly involved in a R.I.C.O. conspiracy to have Lil Wayne murdered. Neither Baby nor Young Thug have been formally charged with any crimes connected to the bus shooting.
Yo Gotti recently hosted a listening party with DJ Drama for his latest mixtape, ‘The Return,’ at Mean St. Studios in Atlanta Georgia. Atlanta’s key DJs, artists, media, music execs, and tastemakers were in the building to get a first listen of the project. When asked about his success with consistently putting out solid mixtapes, Yo Gotti said,
“Good dope sells itself, and I just have it.”
He explained that the streets support him because his music is therapy and motivation for himself and his fans. He represents the artist that went against everything he was told and still came out successful. Yo Gotti describes his latest mixtape, ‘The Return’ as a well rounded project. He said the project could’ve been an album, and it’s probably better than a lot of other artists’ albums. Yo Gotti also revealed he recently opened up an office called CMG Atlanta to look for new talent as there is always a lot of talent coming out of one of the central locations of the south, Atlanta. The event was facilitated by the We Global agency.
AllHipHop caught up with Yo Gotti to discuss his successful run over the years, his new artist, and his latest mixtape. Check out the interview below.
Is the Shady alliance ready to join forces again? According to Bizarre, D12 and G-Unit are teaming up for new music. The Detroit rapper posted a picture to Instagram with the caption, “Working on this D12, G-Unit record… We coming!!”
That would mean Biz, Eminem, 50 Cent, Denaun Porter, Young Buck, Kuniva, Tony Yayo, Swifty McVay, Lloyd Banks, Fuzz Scoota, and Kidd Kidd could all be on some sort of project together.
One thing is certain a D12/G-Unit “album” is not happening. Kuniva shut down that rumor, but he also said something between the two camps is in the works.
(AllHipHop News) DMX has been battling legal issues for years. His latest 2-month stint in jail was the result of not paying child support. After his release last week, the platinum-selling rapper spoke with 7 Eyewitness News in Buffalo, New York.
“I jaywalk, and it’s in the news. You’re talking international news,” said DMX. “That’s a good thing. That means people still care.”
The man born Earl Simmons became a household name in 1998 when he released two #1 albums in the same calendar year. Over the last decade, the New York native has been more well known for run-ins with the law. DMX also spoke about dealing with being famous.
“The only thing I hate about being famous – you never know who really loves you,” added X. “If their love never gets tested, you’ll never know.”
(AllHipHop News) The fallout from The Game’s interview with The Breakfast Club continues. During the sit down with the Power 105 radio station, the West Coast representative spoke about the death of alleged Blood gang member Jomo “RoseMo700” Zambia.
RoseMo was allegedly involved in attacking Game at a Los Angeles area shopping mall back in 2011. The Brick Squad affiliate was killed later that year.
Game said:
You know what’s crazy? The fight in the mall, it never happened. I seen these dudes in the mall. I was with my kid. They said something. I said something. Then I went my separate way. After that everybody’s saying Game got beat up in the mall. And that dude is dead by the way. So it is what it is. Whatever man.
Longtime rival 40 Glocc took issue with Game’s statements and fired back on Instagram. 40 called out Game for what he felt was an implication the “100” spitter was involved in RoseMo’s death. He also referred to Game as a “snitch” by posting a picture of The Documentary 2 album creator testifying in court.

(AllHipHop News) More and more emcees are weighing in on the upcoming Keith Murray versus Fredro Starr battle taking place this weekend in Brooklyn. The latest rhymer to talk about the MC WAR sponsored contest is arguably the best battler on the planet at the moment – Hollow Da Don.
