Read What Happened With Maino And Blueface At NYFW…

So, let’s just put this out here. You don’t want to play with Maino. He is just that dude.

Blueface is kind of that dude too. I recently knocked out the father of Chrisean, his girlfriend. The earliest reports were that pops was doing something honorable and the gang banger hit him, but that wasn’t the case. Pops swung and hit the rapper. Blueface’s knee actually buckled momentarily and then what happened, happened. Pops got dropped! That’s old news.

So, here’s the other part of all of this. When that fight happened, Blueface and Chrisean were shooting a TV series. I thought that it may have been fake, but it was real. And this situation with Maino was real too. Here’s what happened.

There was a fashion show and Blueface and Chrisean were the stars of the show a few days ago. Seemed pretty cool. Check it out.

Now, you may have noticed at the end, Maino got up as they walked the “runway” and dapped up his rap buddy. It seemed like all love, but I think this caused some kind of problem. They were shooting for the TV show. One person, “I’m getting weak at Maino stopping the whole show to say hello.”

Apparently, Maino had a few too many drinks and imposed his will on the whole show. Natalie Nunn was apparently running the fashion show. She let Maino have it.

Tyler Perry Says More Training Is Needed If Hollywood Is Going To Diversify

Tyler Perry has emphasized the need for training and mentorship while also celebrating the new era of diversity in Hollywood.

The actor/ filmmaker was talking ahead of the premiere of his new movie, “A Jazzman’s Blues,” at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Family drama “A Jazzman’s Blues,” which was also written and produced by Perry, sees the usually comedic star – well known for his slapstick Madea franchise – venture in a new direction. The movie tells the story of forbidden love, family drama, and decades of secrets that begin to unravel.

Talking about the positive way the movie industry is changing in terms of diversity, the 52-year-old also expressed some concerns he has with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I am extremely excited for what has happened,” he beamed. “The diversity, the choices, the opportunities. But I worry because there is such a push for diversity and push for hiring people of color that I have found, in situations, that there are people (who) can be pushed into seats they are not ready for.

“I don’t want to have us as Black people in seats that we weren’t ready for and then have people that are not Black that were moved out of those seats that say, ‘Look what an awful job they’re doing.’ It’s my hope that in all of this push for diversity that we are also providing the time and the training to make sure that we can do a great job.”

“A Jazzman’s Blues” is set to be released via Netflix on September 23rd.

Winston Duke: “There Was A Lot Of Melancholy On ‘Black Panther 2’ Set”

Winston Duke has recalled how there was melancholy in the air when the cast of Black Panther met to begin filming the sequel, “Wakanda Forever.”

Chadwick Boseman, who starred as T’Challa in the first Marvel movie, passed away from colon cancer at the age of 43 in August 2020.

A follow-up film had always been in the pipeline, and Chadwick had reprised the role in the “Avengers” films.

But when the cast, including Winston, Letitia Wright, and Lupita Nyong’o, as well as the crew, assembled to start production, there was a tangible sadness felt by them all.

“There was a lot of melancholy,” he told Collider. “In one way, it was very joyous to be back with people you love and care about and who are open to just play and experiment and create. And then, it was really sad, not having our guy and our friend, who was someone we looked up to, and was someone who expressed that they looked up to you. It was just really sad not to have that someone we knew as a person, and not just this artifice on a screen. He was a real person, and we really missed him.

“It was something that we dealt with, every day, and something that we got to understand, every day, that we’re not the only people grieving. Not only the people who are in front of camera are grieving, it’s everybody. So, it was a lot of melancholy.”

Instead of hiring an actor to replace him, Chadwick’s death was written into the sequel’s plot.

Ryan Coogler is back in the director’s seat, and Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman are reprising their roles for the film, which hits cinemas in November.

August Alsina just went out there and said it. The singer, know for being a side nixxa for a well-known actress, is now in an entanglement of a different sort. He was reportedly punched by another singer Tory Lanez. The Canadian is also known as the dude that allegedly put a hot one in Megan Thee Stallion’s foot.

As I’m exiting the building after the show last night, A 4’11 sized leprechaun ran down on me w/ 8 oversized security nigxas, whom I greeted each individually upon their walk up as they tried to press me.
Whole time, I’m one deep. No security. Tory continues to ask w/ a broken ego why I didn’t dap him up, I go on to tell him.. I was a fan of him and didn’t understand him speaking on my business publicly In the past, because I don’t know him or ever met him until last night. So when he spoke it caught me off guard because of his past actions, i assumed he didn’t like me, that’s all. Not to mention, with my history of health & condition just recently overcoming being paralyzed, my doctor directed me not to compromise my health while out on road and shake as less hands as possible due to corona, & monkeypox.

Never any disrespectful words were exchanged, so i was a bit confused at how somehow he turnt him self up w/ anger after hitting a blunt laced with cocaine obviously, (i heard the fizzle) and he snuck me when I turned my head to move to the side amongst all his antsy moving and to keep an eye on
the endless n##### that was w/ him surrounding me.

Which was security and some nigxa with a gun tucked… whom he then proceeded to run behind and hide to run back in the building. There was never a “fight”! Simply an Assault. Dude has no real friends, and is on a crash out mission. Babyface Has Something To Say About King Of R&B Debate

Babyface has weighed in on the debate over who should be crowned the King of R&B.

In an interview with Bevy Smith, host of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, earlier this week, the legendary music producer was asked for his thoughts on the artist that deserved the title the most.

“It’s interesting. When you say king, what makes you king? Is it how many hits that you have or is it how many people you touch?” he asked. “You know, how many people that you give that feeling to where when they think of home, they think of R&B, and that you take them and you make them feel good. R&B’s a really hard one to figure out like a king of, even when we picked the King of Pop. And when Michael (Jackson) picked the King of Pop… it was overwhelming with the hits that he had and the songs that he had.”

Babyface, real name Kenneth Edmonds, went on to note that Usher and Chris Brown were probably in contention, though he indicated R. Kelly would have had a chance at the height of his music career, prior to his scandalous personal life and conviction on racketeering and sex offender charges.

And while he has a “connection” with Usher as a result of their work together, he refused to offer a final answer on the topic.

“It’s really hard to say because today the audiences are so different from each other, it’s not like everybody is on the same page as they were with Michael Jackson back in the day. So, it’s a little harder,” the 63-year-old continued. “I will not name a king. I will not call one, because I love all the artists and if I was gonna lean, I would obviously lean towards Usher because, you know, it’s connection. But it’s unfair for me to just do that.”

50 Cent Sues Plastic Surgeon For Implying He Had Penis Enhancement Surgery

A plastic surgeon, who specializes in penis enhancement, posted a picture of 50 Cent on her social media, leading some people to think the rapper might not have had “the magic stick” after all.

50 is now suing the woman, whose name is Angela Kogan, according to TMZ, for misrepresenting the nature of the picture.

The “Wanksta” rapper said he took the picture with Dr. Kogan back in February 2020 because he was under the impression, she was a fan of his work. Now it seems like the Kim Kardashian look-alike has used the star’s face to get some free promo for the procedure.

In one post on her personal page, she captioned: “Thank you @50cent for stopping by the number one med spa @bh_perfection_medspa.”

Because of the picture, 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis Jackson, says he keeps getting linked to articles about the procedure.

Tee Grizzley’s Home Robbed For $1M+ Worth Of Jewelry

Rapper Tee Grizzley, once known as a burglar, has been robbed of over $1 million worth of jewelry. The crooks went into his home, almost two weeks ago, burglarizing his safe space.

Reports say no one was at the Porter Ranch (San Fernando Valley) home during the crime. However, the thieves according to TMZ, gained access to the house by smashing a window.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, back in college, Tee Grizzley was known to be a burglar, breaking into other students’ dorm rooms at Michigan State University. However, after going to prison and learning the law he changed his life around.

More ironic than his history with breaking and entering, is the timing of his new project, the fourth part in the “Robbery” series.

The Detroit native took to social media to share the news with his followers, tweeting, “ROBBERY 1 is finally on streaming so go run that up I know y’all been waiting for Part 4 so stay tuned cuz that’s coming REAL soon and it’s only the first CHAPTER OF THE TRENCHES by Tee Grizzley 📕✍🏾🐻”

“Robbery 4” was released on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

The State of Georgia wants Young Thug to forfeit property seized during his arrest in May.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, a complaint for forfeiture was filed over items seized from Young Thug and Lil Duke. The two were among the 28 people indicted in a sweeping RICO case against YSL members.

Authorities seized $149,426.00 in U.S. currency. Officers snatched firearms and several vehicles, including a Corvette and a Porsche.

Cops took 87 pieces of jewelry. The accessories included an 18k Gold Patek Philippe and a Rolex with “King Slime” engraved on the back, among other watches.

Multiple pendants, bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings were seized. Many of the items had custom engravings, such as “YSL X BC 4 LIFE.” Cops also grabbed clothing from Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams.

“Officers located and seized from inside the kitchen of Mr. Williams’ 355 Allison Drive residence a green hooded sweatshirt on which there was printed the phrase ‘SLIME OVER S#### Make America Slime Again,'” the court documents disclosed.

Rafaello & Company claimed to own some of the jewelry seized by cops. The owner said nine pieces were loaned to Young Thug.

Young Thug denied Rafaello & Company had any “lawful interest” in the seized property. Officials could only identify four items that possibly belonged to the jeweler.

“Of the 9 jewelry pieces which Rafaello & Company Inc. asserts to own and to have lent to Mr. Williams, only 4 pieces resemble any of the pieces of jewelry seized on May 9, 2022,” authorities declared. “The other 5 pieces of jewelry do not resemble any of the pieces of jewelry seized on May 9, 2022.”

Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel responded to the complaint for forfeiture by contending the property was unlawfully seized.

“Forfeiture of the seized property is barred by the prohibition against excessive fines set forth in the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Steel argued.

The attorney added, “[Young Thug] is the lawful owner of the seized property. Claimant obtained the seized property through legitimate transactions whereby the property was either purchased in lawful arms length transactions and the money used to purchase said seized property was lawfully earned through legitimate employment; or the items were gifted to Claimant by persons who have untainted funds.”

Steel asked for the complaint for forfeiture to be dismissed. He requested a monetary award to cover attorney’s fees and expenses.

Movie Goers Debate If ‘The Woman King’ Should Be Boycotted

Despite its raved reviews, some people are calling for African Americans to boycott Viola Davis’ new film, “The Woman King.”

However, others are saying this is a swift rush to judgment and a mischaracterization of the movie, and an attempt to dismiss the work of a project that is predominately produced, directed and starring Black women.

“Now that it’s out, I can say this: The people telling you to boycott The Woman King, for the reasons they’re stating, sound crazy because the film literally deals with the reasons they’re stating.”

“Sorry but it’s suspicious af to me to see people saying boycott The Woman King because the Oya Empire & Kingdom of Dahomey were involved in the slave trade when similar critiques of Our Flag Means Death and Hamilton have been challenged or ignored all together.”

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the movie that debuts this weekend celebrates the woman warriors of Dahomey called the Agojie. The leaders of the fierce fighters in the film actually show a full picture of how Africans participated in slavery and the complicated nature of that participation.

The call for the boycott did not stop millions from flooding movie theaters to the tune of an early debut weekend box office reading of $19 million. According to Deadline, the film pulled in on Friday, including $1.7M previews, $6.8M, and Saturday pulled in $7.15M. Experts believe those numbers were so high was because of word of mouth.

It is also because movie critics, specifically Black and African critics, have given the movie thumbs up.

Perhaps the boycott was too much too late.

Kim Kardashian has set her sights on dating a medical or legal professional.

The reality TV star, who split from actor/comedian Pete Davidson last month, made an appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”

During the interview, host James asked Kim whether she was looking to get into the dating scene again following her breakup from Pete and divorce from husband Kanye West.

Queen Latifah Says Denzel Washington And Jude Law Could Make It As Rappers

Queen Latifah is adamant Jude Law has what it takes to make it as a rap star.

During an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” host Stephen asked the entertainer what it was like to make the transition from rapper to screen star when she landed supporting roles in films in the early ’90s.

“For me, it was a pretty good transition. I didn’t know what the heck I was doing, to be honest with you,” Latifah replied. “I think because we make videos as rappers, we’re used to performing in front of camera, hitting marks.”

The 52-year-old went on to note that she believes a lot of actors have the potential to try rapping.

“I think a lot of rappers could be actors and I think a lot of actors want to be rappers. Denzel (Washington)? Denzel can do anything. I think Denzel got that swag of a rapper anyway. He definitely could do it,” she continued. “I could see Jude Law doing it too. Jude Law is cute and he can do anything. But that’s just me!”

In addition, Latifah would like to see some rappers explore acting more too.

“I think Megan Thee Stallion could do it, I think Lizzo could pull it off. Drake is already both,” “The Equalizer” star smiled.

Kenan Thompson Completely Surprised By Kel Mitchell At 2022 Emmy Awards

Producers kept Kel Mitchell hidden before his reunion with longtime friend Kenan Thompson at the 2022 Emmy Awards.

The pair found fame as child stars on the Nickelodeon show “Kenan & Kel” in the ’90s and went on to star in the cult movie “Good Burger.”

At the Emmys, Kel surprised the audience by joining “Saturday Night Live” veteran Kenan, who was serving as the host, onstage.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Kel revealed how much he enjoyed being a part of the night’s opening.

“They had to hide me the whole time while I was here. I was ready to walk the carpet and everything but they were like, ‘No, let’s hide you,'” he grinned. “That way, it could be a big moment. But, yeah, man, it was really fun. We knew the audience would like that.”

On his enduring friendship with Kenan, Kel noted that they’ve never lost touch.

“He’s always awesome,” the 44-year-old said. “We hang out all the time and call each other all the time, so it’s always a great moment for us that we can share with our fans, you know.”

The duo last delighted fans at the NHL Awards in 2019.

Son of Mars Newest Project “Pandora’s Box Vol. 1” Set to Release this Winter

Son of Mars has announced the release of his new Mixtape Series called “Pandora’s Box” which is expected to begin sometime at the end of Summer 2022.

This Series is Unique for the Hip-hop Musician / Producer as he wants to focus on his favorite Genre in the Industry which he likes to call “Caribbean Hip-Hop” which is composed of custom remixes, fresh melodies, and some of his native Caribbean instruments like the steel pan and conga/bongo drums. These types of mixes are consistently played by DJs in the New Jersey club scene.

If you aren’t familiar, mashups usually include just two songs or more that are seamlessly mixed. Some people can do this on production software like Ableton, Son of Mars is able to mix native Calypso and Soca music into his own Hip-Hop influenced songs. The creation is something in a new genre completely.

Due to this ensuing pandemic, most of us haven’t been able to see many Performances lately thanks to club and bar closures.  But new age producer artists like Son of Mars spent their time creating new edits and releases to prepare for the return of live shows and concerts.

The producer/artist is planning on spending many weekends of the year touring and playing venues and clubs across the US, Mexico, and Canada.

“You go to one city, and it’s literally a hip-hop city, then you go to your next show somewhere else and it’s more Caribbean and Latin vibes.  Why not introduce the two and blend them together, generating unique and creative blends called Caribbean Hip Hop for everyone to enjoy and love. We’ve seen it before with acts like Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Pitbull” Says, Son of Mars.

Son of Mars considers himself an Open Format producer, which allows him to use his creativity to blend multiple songs and genres together creating a unique and exciting show for his fans.

When asked what his favorite genre was, Son of Mars simply said: “Caribbean Hip-hop!  I am a Caribbean head when I listen to music, but I love to produce Hip-hop and rap music sets.”  But being an Open Format musician, he gets to play both along with other genres and reach a larger fan base.

Son of Mars has been producing mashups and remixes since he started his musical career.  In Fact, the name Son of Mars came from his Caribbean roots rising from the red country known as Trinidad and Tobago. When this was discovered, friends and other producers started calling him Mars, and the name came to life.

Today, Son of Mars’ music stretches across different venues across different cities where he gets to showcase his creative style to all the partygoers.  His favorite part about producing Caribbean Hip-hop is when he can perform his creations, people aren’t expecting that, and he just hears the excitement and screams from the people in the crowd.  “It literally gives me goosebumps” says Mars.

BREAKING NEWS: Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu has been arrested for murder.

The long time, well respected music executive has also been been arrested for aggravated assault, possession of firearm during commission of a felony and simple battery, according to reports.

He was one of three people shot in late June 2022.

The longtime business man has been laying low since making headlines for being shot, where it was reported initially that he acted in self-defense.

Michael Seiden, a reporter for WSBTV tweeted the following.

BREAKING: Ludacris’ longtime manager Chaka Zulu arrested on murder charge. The music executive, whose real name is Ahmed Obafemi is also charged w/ aggravated assault, possession of firearm during
commission of a felony and simple battery, according to jail records.

Seiden also reported that Zulu surrendered to authorities and also bonded out on on Sept 13.

The news comes as a shocker, as Chaka Zulu has had a lengthy, tenured term as a business man. According to reports, Zulu was involved in a fracas that turned into a gun fight in June of 2022.

Chaka and the man begin exchanging words, according to sources who viewed the footage. The conversation becomes heated and another person of three held his hand by his waist.

Chaka Zulu did not back down as it escalated, even though a women seems to try calming the tension. Eventually a man bumps into Zulu and then he grabs him by his collar. Eventually, there are several men that attack him and begin to kick him after he’s knocked to the ground.

Reports say one of the men fire at least two shots at Zulu. Chaka Zulu, after getting back up, shot back.

Initial reports stated the unknown gunman fired off at least nine rounds during the incident, striking three. The men were transported to hospital where one of them died from his injuries. 

Seiden reported that Artez Benton, 23, was one of the men that was shot and killed outside the club.

Benton’s sister Arteria told the Atlanta Journal Constitution, “We just want justice for Artez. That’s the main thing we want. So if you see something, say something please.”

Julia Fox stopped seeing Kanye West at “the first sign of a red flag.”

The aspiring actress, who has become a tabloid staple since her brief romance with the rapper, was first linked to Ye on New Year’s Eve.

They went on to have an intense and public relationship before calling it quits in February.

Talking to ES Magazine about their time together, 32-year-old Julia explained how a mutual friend introduced them, and there was “a good amount” of spark between the pair.

“I was just going day by day and seeing where it went,” the mother-of-one shared. “It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let’s do it. And then, real life set in and the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable. I couldn’t fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag.”

Elaborating on what she saw as a red flag, she continued: “Unresolved issues he was dealing with. He had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have the time for it, or the energy.”

Kanye, 45, split from wife Kim Kardashian, the mother of his four children, in early 2021.

“Uncut Gems” star Julia, who’s been taking in the shows of New York Fashion Week, admitted she was “proud” she left when did – but caveated by saying she would have hung about if she didn’t have 18-month-old son Valentino, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Artemiev.

Viola Davis Worried She’d Have “Heart Attack” While Training For “The Woman King”

Viola Davis was worried she was going to have a heart attack while training for epic new movie “The Woman King.”

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” the Oscar-winning actress described the gruelling fitness regime she had to undertake to prepare for her role as General Nanisca in the historical drama about the Agojie, the all-female warrior unit that protected a West African kingdom during the 17th to 19th centuries.

“I was 56 when I trained to be this warrior. Now, five hours a day, hour and a half of weight training, three and a half hours of martial arts. Punching. 10.0 on the treadmill,” she explained. “And as I was running on that treadmill, Jimmy, I said, ‘I’m going to have a damn heart attack.'”

But while Viola was exhausted by the intense program, she was thrilled with the final result when she watched the film.

“You see it on the screen, and I’m like, “I did that!” the star exclaimed.

Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, “The Woman King opened on Friday (September 16th).

One Of Pop Smoke’s Murders Trial Set For October

After two and half years, a trial date has finally been set for the man that killed rapper Pop Smoke, aka Bashar Jackson, during an attempted home robbery in Hollywood Hills.

According to the My News LA, the man, Corey Walker, is among four people charged with the 2020 murder and is set to go before court on Thursday, October 13th.

At the time of the murder, which took one of Hip-Hop’s brightest stars, Walker was still a teen. Now 21, Walker will face big man consequences for his actions. 

The three others will be charged in a juvenile court.

As AllHipHop.com reported, all four young men went to 2033 Hercules Drive around 4:00 a.m. to rob the “Woo” chart-topper, right before he really popped off with his first album.

Originally they were thought to be gang members. Now the world sees them for what they are .. clowns … who took life for a watch worth less than $10,000.

LAPD Capt. Steve Lurie discussed receiving the 911 call about the fatal shooting. He shared, “When officers arrived there approximately six minutes later, they discovered a victim inside the house had been shot. They called the fire department, who arrived and transported that victim to Cedars-Sinai, where he was pronounced dead.”

In May 2021, Pop Smoke won Billboard Music Awards for Top New Artist, Top Rap Artist, and Top Male Rap Artist. His album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon won Top Tap Album and Top Billboard 200 Album.

His mom Audrey Jackson accepted the award on her late son’s behalf, and said, “Thank the fans for honoring the life and spirit of my son so much that he continues to manifest as if he were still here in the flesh.”

“He created music for the kid who has to sleep four in a room, the kid who has to figure out how to get to school each day so he can graduate and make his mom proud,” she continued. “He did this so that 14-year-olds would not have to kill to prove that they are somebody. That is the irony in this.”

Walker could not participate in a plea deal for his role in snubbing out Pop Smoke’s life.

Legendary Rapper Suga-T Receives High Honor At West Coast Hip Hop Awards

Iconic rapper, singer, actor and author Suga-T Stevens was recently honored at the 16th Annual West Coast Hip Hop Awards as the Business Woman of the Decade.

“The award was a surprise and I’m very honored by the recognition,” Stevens said in a statement. “I have been a serial entrepreneur most of my life.”

Suga-T, largely beloved for her 1995 hit “Sprinkle Me” with brother E-40, started her first business when she was eight, a venture with her grandfather when she was only eight years old. By age 12, she developed a hair styling business. These days she acts as the CEO of a “conglomerate of businesses, nonprofits and community organizations” – Sprinkle Me Social Enterprise (SMSE).

“I’ve always felt I had to create opportunities for myself,” she continued. “I was a single teen mom; I’ve suffered domestic violence and I’m in a business, Hip-Hop music, that values the young and that can be pretty harsh toward older women. Entrepreneurship gave me freedom; and in life and business ventures, I’m able to teach others how to build and sustain their own opportunities.”

Suga-T also presented her own HER Museum exhibit at the ceremony, which is her latest venture. This one celebrates the achievements of women and girls.

SMSE also has the Sprinkle Me Learning Academy (a coaching and mentoring platform); a music and video production company; a beauty and health products firm, and Work It Well Project, an organization that serves vulnerable populations and moms of children with autism.
