In his ongoing dispute with his former-Fashion partner, Kanye West has taken to social media to expose them for systematically trying to block his Paris Fashion Week show.
This comes after the rapper told CNBC’s “Closing Bell” show that he has terminated his brand partnership with Gap Inc, only after two years of signing their contract in June 2020.
AllHipHop.com reports the deal was to design and sell a line of clothing underneath the Yeezy Gap brand.
According to Newsweek, “Everyone knows that you know, I’m the leader, I’m the king, right, so a king can’t live in someone else’s castle. A king has to make his own castle.”
Allegedly, West’s lawyers sent a letter to the company stating his wish to terminate their ten-year agreement, alleging the apparel company breached their contract by failing to release clothing and opening stores as they originally planned.
West said, “It was always a dream of mine to be at the Gap and to bring the best product possible to the masses.”
“We designed an entire collection and … I wasn’t able to set the actual price that I wanted for this collection,” the “DONDA” chart-topper said.
He states she wanted to sell shirts with Gap for $20, but the company overpriced the shirts, charging $200 and better per garment.
How, the rapper-turned-designer posted on social media that all of a sudden, people don’t want to work with him.
“Magically No production companies have been willing to produce my YZYSZN9 fashion show in Paris on October 3rd,” he wrote, listing the Board of Directors from Gap on his Instagram.
Many are wondering what this will mean for Ye, who is reportedly a 6 times billionaire because of the deal. Will he lose everything stepping away from The Gap?
The Gap has been struggling and the Kanye collab gave them a boost.
Since 2005, Gap Inc.’s Old Navy brand has started to be more successful than Gap in sales.
The two brands have been going up and down, but in 2021, it was clear Old Navy was bringing in way more money. Old Navy brought in $9.1 billion, and the Gap brought in $4.1 billion.
Bringing Yeezy in promised to get them back on track.
Still, they are insisting the separation is mutual. Gap president Mark Breitbart said in an email to his employees, “While we share a vision of bringing high-quality, trend-forward, utilitarian design to all people through unique omni experiences with Yeezy Gap, how we work together to deliver this vision is not aligned. And we are deciding to wind down the partnership.”
As he disputes Kanye’s claim that they reneged on things in their contract, Breitbart says, “Important to know is that throughout this partnership, we have upheld our commitments … The teams have done so with the utmost integrity, navigating obstacles and demonstrating incredible resolve.”
In an interview with Fox News, Kanye shared he is also not tripping about the money.
“I’m an innovator. I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people,” he said.
The rapper also intends on leaving his Adidas partnership when it is up in 2026.
T.I.’s son Domani unleashed a new song titled “Broke.”
The track dropped a year after Domani released his Skydivealbum, which featured collaborations with Rapsody and D Smoke. The second-generation rapper contemplated what he’d do without money on his latest single.
“Life is all about perspective, and that’s what I want the listener to take away from this single,” Domani said in a press release. “You never know someone’s situation, so it’s important to never judge but rather forgive.”
Domani released “Broke” ahead of his European tour with Cordae. The 21-year-old rapper will join Cordae’s From a Bird’s Eye View Tour, which begins on September 27 and wraps up on October 19.

DDG reportedly faces multiple misdemeanor charges following his June arrest for gun possession.
According to TMZ, DDG was charged with one count of carrying a loaded weapon, one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of reckless driving. The Los Angeles City Attorney brought charges against the 24-year-old rapper after the Los Angeles County District Attorney didn’t.
A few months ago, DDG claimed the case had been dismissed. He said he avoided misdemeanor charges in a video posted on social media.
“My case has been dismissed or rejected,” he declared. “I don’t got a felony, and I don’t got a misdemeanor.”
If convicted, DDG could be sentenced to a year in jail for each weapons charge. The reckless driving charge comes with a maximum sentence of 90 days behind bars.
DDG is dating singer Halle Bailey, who’s been making headlines as the star of the upcoming film The Little Mermaid. Disney’s live-action remake of the 1989 animated movie premieres in 2023.
Ahead of The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey starred in her boyfriend DDG’s “If I Want You” music video. The video has racked up well over a million views since its release in August.
Tiffany Haddish and two accusers agreed to seal photos in their ongoing legal battle over sexual misconduct involving minors.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Tiffany Haddish reached a deal with the alleged victims to prevent the public from seeing the original complaint. The two sides came to an agreement after the case moved from state court to federal court.
Tiffany Haddish’s accusers were concerned about their identities being exposed if the photos were publicly available. The two victims are identified as Jane Doe and John Doe in the lawsuit.
“The full public availability of the Complaint could permit public identification of Plaintiff John Doe and, by association, Plaintiff Jane Doe,” the court documents noted.
Jane Doe, 22, sued Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears over child sexual abuse. Jane Doe and her brother said they were recruited to appear in the comedians’ sexually suggestive videos as kids.
A then 14-year-old Jane Doe was allegedly told to mimic oral sex for a skit. John Doe, who was 7 at the time, claimed he was molested by Aries Spears during the filming of a sketch called “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.”
Jane Doe and her brother told a judge they were open to a settlement with Tiffany Haddish. The accusers want her to publicly apologize for her role in the videos as part of a potential deal.
East Atlanta’s voracious rap scene has been notorious for birthing the likes of Hip Hop royalty. With heirs of the throne honing from rap megastars like 21 Savage, 6LACK, & Future. There is no doubt that Atlanta has dominated the rap scene for the last decade and continues to birth new talent every day. While undiscovered artist often has a tough time navigating the rap hierarchy, that does not seem to be the case for emerging ATL Superstar Shon Brown.
Hailing from the East Side of Atlanta, GA, Shon Brown follows in the footsteps of his ATL predecessors as he is quickly climbing the ladder to the top of rap supremacy. Now, beyond the hugely talented artist that is Shon Brown, what first caught my eye was his appearance.
Upon my first encounter with Shon, I was met with a blinding diamond-encrusted smile intense enough to grab everyone’s attention. Contrary to what I expected, Shon boasts a humble and calm demeanor, there is a sense of peace and humility grounded around his aura that calms your spirit. But, beyond the humble appearance, I soon saw that there was more to this meek rap star than meets the eye. Pulling up in a Lamborghini Aventador, one of the most sought-after luxury sports cars in the world, I yearned to learn more about who this guy really was.
We exchanged handshakes and bantered over a small conversation before beginning the interview. Shon’s lustrous Cuban necklace gleamed in the sun, as the diamonds danced opposite of the sun’s glare. I then noticed his wrist which also hosted an array of jewelry, diamonds equally coerced in synchronicity covering the lower part of his arm. I interview plenty of “startup” rappers who are hoping to stumble across that breakthrough TikTok hit that will catapult their career into superstardom, most of which may sport a necklace or 2. But this guy’s looks like he has made it.
I could immediately tell that I did not know Shon Brown at all. But I would soon, I had to know more.
I remember hearing about Shon back in 2019. His name had been buzzing among the emerging Atlanta rap scene after releasing his hit song “Made it Out” featuring ATL legend YFN Lucci. “Wow, this guy has potential” I remember thinking after hearing the song on BET Jams. A few short months after, Shon peeled back vulnerable layers as he took us through the gritty streets of the not so glamours side of ATL with his smash Crime Scene featuring 24 Heavy. Following up, just a year later I hear Shon a second time on his chart-climbing record “Say Da Word” featuring East Atlanta cohort BRS Kash, the artist behind Platinum viral anthem “Throat Baby”.
Well as the saying goes, the third time is a charm. This time, however, there is something vastly different about Shon. His sound has elevated. In Shon’s new hit single, They Don’t Know, produced by super producer Mondo on the Beat, who produced club smash “Hittin” for rapper Money Mu, he masterfully blends melodic harmonies with a socially conscious rap cadence, Shon has created the perfect cocktail of trap symphonies that gracefully pirouette on the listener’s ears. A compelling story follows as he goes into depth about how many may perceive him to be a particular way because of the allure attached to his image, but they don’t really know Shon Brown.
They Don’t Know has been EVERYWHERE since its release. Every radio station has spun the record, ATL’s own FLYGUYDC played the song a record-breaking 5 times consecutively on popular ATL radio station Streetz 94.5, I have heard it in the club while getting hot wings, I heard it on iHeart radio. I cannot turn around without hearing Shon Brown. This is a true testament to the makings of a chart-blazing hit single.
Shon is what I like to call a humble bEAST. After sitting down and interviewing Shon for close to 2 hours, here is a few things that you may not know about him.
They Don’t Know he is a pillar in his community. Last May, Shon pulled up at a few elementary schools where he spoke to the children about chasing their dreams and achieving their goals, telling them anything is possible is one thing, but Shon took it a step further when he brought out Lamborghinis, Teslas, and Maseratis for the kids to take pictures in and envision themselves speeding down 285 in luxury, quickly turning recess into a car show.
They Don’t Know Shon employs an outreach program that feeds and shelters the homeless on the Holidays, ensuring that the less fortunate are covered during challenging times.
And, while he shy’s away from this, I’ll love to say it:
They Don’t Know Shon Brown is a self-made boss and owner of his own independent record label Millions & Billions, and much like that title, A young, rich hip hop mogul on his way to becoming one of ATL’s rap superstars. Very few artists I encounter have the privilege of being “on” before the fame. Shon does music because he loves it and has successfully transitioned through the mean streets of an East Atlanta jungle, victoriously transforming himself into a prolific young CEO. As his new single proclaims, They Don’t Know.
They Don’t Know how the East Atlanta Rapper really Made it Out of a Crime Scene riddled area to Say Da word to give the Street Motivation. But…they do now.
We are getting more and more signs. I am not even talking about stuff like PNB Rock. Let’s talk about a regular person.
Jordan Capuchino is dead. The beloved 20 year old son was murdered over the weekend. He was with a group of friends. And one of them had on a chain that had a value of $7k. I saw another report that said $50k, but anyway. Jordan was shot and killed Saturday morning. Houston Police Department said he and his friends were robbed by a group of men, but that is not the end. Jordan and his friends went after the jackers and that is when it turned deadly. He was slain trying to get somebody else’s chain back. They have arrested somebody already and looking for others.
Be safe.

A riot erupted at the 2022 Breakout Festival after organizers announced headliner Lil Baby was too sick to perform on Sunday (September 18).
Fans wreaked havoc at the PNE Amphitheatre in Vancouver, causing thousands of dollars in property damage. Seven people were arrested for their roles in the mayhem, according to multiplereports.
Lil Baby issued an apology for missing his performance on Monday (September 19). He explained why he couldn’t perform in an Instagram Stories post.
“I would like to start off by saying I truly apologize Vancouver, Canada, The Breakout Festival And To Everyone Who was in attendance!” Lil Baby wrote. “I have been going so hard these past few months without any breaks that it finally caught up with me. And My Body Completely Shut Down. I owe you guys big time and will for sure make up for it soon.”
Bruhh, Vancouver kids stupid as s### 😂 imagine causing a riot all because Lil Baby no showed Breakout Fest pic.twitter.com/wmQlSHweiL
The Breakout Festival condemned the destructive actions of its patrons on social media. Organizers didn’t mention Lil Baby by name in the statement.
“Last night’s end to the 2022 Breakout Festival resulted in the worst case scenario of disappointment due to Sunday’s final performer canceling,” festival organizers said. “And we want to apologize to everyone who peacefully left the venue, as well as, the venue staff and the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood for the way Breakout 2022 ended. We do not condone violence or destruction of property and are utterly disappointed with the way some of our patrons acted at this year’s event.”

Over the weekend, the infamous flashy pastor Bishop Lamor Whitehead seemed to assault a woman in his own church, live during service. Well, you may remember that he was also robbed at gunpoint a few months back. The bandits took somewhere between $400,000 and $1 million in jewels from the religious leader. Well, he has not stopped preaching because somebody pulled a burner on him. This also has not stopped people from coming for him.
This weekend a woman entered the church and disrupted the service that the Bishop had on Sunday. According to the New York Daily News, Tarsha Howard came into his service and was taping him, which he objected to. She then came into the live stream and Whitehead put his hand on her neck, forcing her out of the camera shot. It seemed to many that he assaulted her. So, the cops took him in. He was later released, uncharged. They did charge Howard with trespassing and disrupting a religious service. She posted her neck on IG, which seemed to have a scratch. Welp.

Miami-Bred Rapper Trina Also Teases Making An Appearance At Grand Slam In NYC
Grand Slam could also feature another rapper during the match between Diamanté and TBS Champion Jade Cargill. On last week’s Rampage, Diamanté teased she would bring the “baddest b####” from “the 305” to ringside with her in NYC.
Diamanté’s promo led to wrestling fans assuming that fellow Miami native Trina could be the surprise guest for Grand Slam. Trina helped fuel the speculation by liking tweets associated with the upcoming Diamanté vs Jade Cargill match.
AEW’s Dynamite: Grand Slam will be broadcast live on September 21 at 8 pm ET on TBS. Rampage: Grand Slam will be broadcast on September 23 at 10 pm ET on TNT. Rumors began circulating that Post Malone may have broken his ribs during the fall. However, the singer/rapper’s longtime manager, Dre London, took to Instagram to dispel the gossip about his client.
“Thank you🙏🏽everyone for all your well wishes! @postmalone didn’t break 3 ribs last [night], thank god.🙏🏽We did X-rays @ [the] hospital after the show and they declared he had bruised his ribs!” wrote Dre London on the social media platform.
London continued, “In true Posty fashion, loving his fans, he finished the show! I truly don’t know any artist like him.🌎Talking to him [a] few [hours] ago, he was still saying, ‘Dre don’t go hard on [them,] explaining more [than] saying, “the show must go on!”‘😳Let’s all keep him in our thoughts as we know he will wake up in pain😔.”
Post Malone also posted a video addressing his followers. The Twelve Carat Toothache album creator explained what happened at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis on September 17.
“Thank you for putting up with my dumb ass,” stated Malone on Sunday night. “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitar’s on the guitar stand, and it goes down, and there’s this big a#######, so I go around there and turn the corner and bust my ass.”
The New York-born, Texas-raised performer added, “[The fall] winded me pretty good, got me pretty good. We just got back from the hospital. Everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and everything, so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”
Post Malone next heads to Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena for tomorrow night’s show. California-bred rapper Roddy Ricch serves as the opening act for the “Twelve Carat Tour” on select dates. This leg of the trek closes out in Los Angeles in November.
Meanwhile, Post Malone scored another Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “I Like You (A Happier Song)” featuring Doja Cat. Malone now has eleven songs to make it into the Top 10 region with four of his singles going No. 1 on the weekly rankings.
Twelve Carat Toothache landed on June 3, 2022. Post Malone’s fourth studio LP debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 121,000 first-week units. The project includes appearances by Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Gunna, Fleet Foxes, The Kid LAROI, and The Weeknd.
The fallout from the apparent female rap war brewing behind-the-scenes continues to play out publicly. Nicki Minaj recently took aim at several women with some observers believing Minaj aimed at least one of those shots at her “Blick Blick” collaborator Coi Leray.
The drama began with the release of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” featuring Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V, Maliibu Miitch, JT, and BIA. It appeared some of the rappers that did not make the cut felt a certain way about being omitted from the track.
“Industry so weird… only if y’all know the half… yuck… Anyways FLY SH!T OUT NOW 🆑😍💘🔥🏆,” tweeted Leray on the same day the “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” arrived on DSPs. She also added, “Be careful from fake smiles.”
Industry so weird .. only if y’all know the half … yuck …. Anyways FLY SH!T OUT NOW 🆑😍💘🔥🏆
This week, another interesting tweet from Coi Leray raised eyebrows. Yesterday, the Trendsetter album creator made accusations about the media’s relationship with an alleged, unknown tormenter.
“Paying blogs not to post me is sad,” tweeted Coi Leray. Moments later, she added, “What’s in the dark always comes to light! Stay prayed up! Stay focused!!” Leray also tweeted, “Hurt people hurt people.”
Coi Leray then tried to stir the conversation in a more positive direction. The Republic recording artist wrote, “Don’t come over here looking for problems. The world got plenty of them already so let’s promote positivity as much as we can.”
Following the “Queen Mix” turmoil, many social media users assumed Coi Leray’s September 18th tweets were a subliminal message about Nicki Minaj. That assumption also stems from other celebrities accusing Minaj of pulling political moves out of public view in the past.
The bad blood between Lil Tjay and Don Q reportedly involved a disagreement over who is the real “King Of New York” for this era. Back in 2020, Tjay downplayed Don’s labelmate, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, as the holder of the NYC crown.
Apparently, Don Q did not forget the back-and-forth from two years ago. The fellow Bronx native recently tweeted, “God b letting the wrong n##### survive smh.” That statement came after news of Lil Tjay’s recovery from the shooting.
Then Lil Tjay dropped “Faceshot (Many Men Freestyle)” on September 17. On the 50 Cent-inspired track, Tjay repeated that he is the king of his city. He also seemed to reference Don Q and A Boogie’s Highbridge The Label associate Trap Manny.
“This what ya wanted lmaoo. 😂😂 Guess it’s time to shake sh## up,” wrote Tjay on Instagram. “I woke up feeling like @50cent, [you know] what that means .🤧 After this ima just go mainstream on ya.”
He added, “‘Many Men Freestyle’ out now but I named this one #FACESHOTTTTTTTTTT Cause [you know] yeahhh 🤷🏾♂️🫢😌😉😉 but spam these comments if ya waiting on some more hot sh## 👀.”
On Sunday, Don Q released a track titled “IDK.” While Don did not mention Lil Tjay by name, some of the bars on the song appeared to be directed at the Destined 2 Win album creator.
“IDK” opens with Don declaring, “I don’t know who shot you.” In addition, he raps about his target of the diss track wanting to act like 50 Cent for clout. The Don Season emcee also mentions someone taking seven shots.
“You must gotta death wish, you trying to mention the squad. Got shot, now you’re saying names all over your raps. P#### boy, I could imagine what you told the detective. Got out the hospital, now you’re over-aggressive,” spit Don Q. The 32-year-old New Yorker also said he is happy his opponent is still alive.
Florida-bred rap duo City Girls scored Top 40 hits in 2019 with “Act Up” and “Twerk” featuring Cardi B. One half of the group, Yung Miami, is apparently ready to leave the rap game already.
On Sunday, Yung Miami tweeted her reactions to the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons versus Los Angeles Rams game. Another Twitter user asked the woman born Caresha Brownlee if she understood football.
The Quality Control representative responded, “Yes I cheered up until high school I know football very well!!!!!!!” This led to a different Twitter user telling Yung Miami to make better music.
“B#### I don’t even rap no more! Eat this P#### hoe I retired!” Yung Miami shot back at her online critic. Many of the rapper’s fans then began questioning if she was really walking away from the recording studio.
If Yung Miami does retire from making music, she will likely lean more toward her role as a new media figure. Miami’s Caresha Please podcast launched on the Revolt network earlier this year. So far, the show has featured interviews with Kevin Gates, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and others.
“Revolt is about giving a platform to the most authentic and disruptive voices in Hip Hop that move the culture,” stated Revolt founder Sean “Diddy” Combs in June. “Yung Miami is not only a superstar artist, she’s also unapologetically herself and brings a perspective women around the world can relate to, which is why I’m excited to bring her podcast to life.”
Caresha Please earned a Best Hip Hop Platform nomination at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. City Girls have also picked up nods at the BET Awards and Billboard Music Awards over the last three years. Yung Miami and JT’s song “Good Love” featuring Usher peaked at #70 on the Hot 100 chart in July.
It seems that every second active Internet user (and especially on social networks) has at least once thought about creating his own blog and becoming a famous author. And this is not surprising, because the development of new technologies has led to the fact that people spend most of their free time online and even build businesses on various platforms. For many creators, Insta has become a platform through which they were able to gain fame, monetize content, and great advertising offers.
But along with the development of the site, competition increases. About 500 million people log into the app every day to check the feed of posts, upload a new post or take down stories. The amount of content is difficult to count and it becomes more difficult to surprise users. But this does not mean that it is impossible to achieve the desired result. In this article, we will tell you what steps you need to take to get closer to your goal and become more visible and competitive on the site.
Filling out all of the details.
Before you learn how to attract the attention of the audience, make sure that your page is ready for this. Optimize your account and make it competitive.
Come up with a memorable and catchy nickname that will set you apart from the crowd. You can use your first name, last name, or funny nickname as the account name. The main requirement is that it should be readable and understandable. Do not use double letters and avoid using punctuation marks such as dots, spaces, or hyphens. This will complicate the search for your profile in the future.
Create a subscriber base. It may not be obvious, but the second thing that the person who visited your page pays attention to is the number of followers. Why? Because this is an indicator of the success and popularity of the author of the blog. The higher this number, the more attractive you look in the eyes of users, and competitors take you seriously. Take the opportunity to buy real Instagram followers, with which you will increase the activity on the page.
Your description and bright avatar can have a big impact on potential readers. Do not ignore these sections and fill in each of them. As an avatar, choose a successful portrait or a creative blog logo. It is important that it be unusual and memorable. In the “about yourself” section, write a couple of suggestions about the blog, its advantages, and interesting headings. Your goal is to capture the viewer’s attention and encourage them to click on the “follow” button.
Don’t forget to optimize the profile header to make your blog easier to find. In this section, you need to give concise information about the account and write about the niche in one sentence.
Posting at the right time.
So, after you have made sure that the profile is ready, it’s time to publish the first posts. The audience of each blogger is unique, and each of them studies his audience to understand which time period is comfortable for them. Some promotion specialists claim that there is a universal time from 7 to 10 pm, at which most users rest after work or study. But in fact, this is a misconception. Your subscribers may be busy in the evenings and not be able to go online to evaluate your content.
The best thing is an experiment. Start posting posts at different times and monitor the dynamics and coverage using statistics (it is free and available for professional accounts). This way you will increase the visibility of publications and get more views and likes, which means that posts will be able to get into recommendations to attract the attention of potential subscribers.
Collaboration with other authors. The path to success is a long and time-consuming process, but you can simplify it if you do it together. Many novice bloggers are looking for support from colleagues, and most manage to find it. Do not wait for a newcomer to write to you and offer to create joint content, sometimes they hesitate to offer mutually beneficial cooperation. Don’t take an example from them, have the courage and write to them yourself.
Find a blogger who has the same statistics and publishes posts on similar topics. Do you have a few subscribers and do you want to collaborate with more successful authors? This is not a problem just buy Instagram followers so that a popular blogger does not refuse the offer. In this case, you will significantly grow subscribers, increase activity on your account and become more famous in the thematic community.
Cross-promotion. After your posts have started to collect a lot of likes and comments, and the page looks solid, you can use the possibility of cross-promotion. According to statistics, most Internet users have accounts in at least 3 major networks: Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. And you can use them to attract an audience to the IG page.
To do this, you do not need special knowledge and skills – post several publications and attach a link to the account. Tell your readers that you have decided to become a blog author and ask for support. A loyal audience will show activity and subscribe to the page, especially if you offer a nice bonus.
The magic of following trends. Trends disappear as quickly as they appear. But if your goal is to get as many subscribers as possible and become famous, you need to know which posts and topics are in demand and are at the peak of fame.
Study the accounts of fashion houses to study the stylish design of the page, go to the pages of popular influencers, and analyze which formats and topics have gained the maximum number of likes and comments. This way you will have an understanding of which publications will be able to get large coverage, and which of them are no longer relevant.
Communicate with subscribers. Anyway, social networks are created so that people can communicate with each other more. As a blogger, you need to pay attention to your readers, answer their questions, give valuable advice (if they ask) and ask for an opinion about your work. This will bring you closer to your followers and create an image of a friendly person who is ready to enter into a dialogue despite the number of subscribers. Users began to appreciate sincerity, naturalness, and openness more. We advise you not to put on “masks” and be frank with your viewers, otherwise, they will feel the falsity of your answers and may leave.
Be creative. If you want to identify yourself as a unique person, you have to come up with your own “highlight” that will distinguish you from others. You can show your talents when it comes to creating Reels or IGTV. Create a vivid image, generate unique ideas, and style successful stories to suit your theme. Together, these actions will lead to the fact that users will recognize your style and publications, distinguishing them from millions of others.
Conclusion
That’s it! In this text, we have written the most important steps, following which you will be able to achieve the desired result and become a popular blogger. Do not forget about the quality of publications, post only good photos or videos, write interesting posts and use different formats for submitting information. Go to your goal and act wisely, then everything will work out. Good luck!
Tell us a little bit more about your background, where were you born/raised, and how you got into music.
I was raised in Deerfield Beach, FL. It’s about 45 mins north of Miami. I wasn’t raised in the nicest neighborhood and I was always different from the people around me but I learned early on to embrace that. It’s not about where you’re from it’s about where you’re going.
Some familiar artists from my area are XXXTENTACION, Ace Hood, and Kodak Black. I used to make these really annoying noises as a kid and they drove everyone in my family crazy. Those “noises” eventually became words and those words became melodies. Still, singing was just something that I would do for fun. It wasn’t until I went to The Mango Festival where that would change.
The Mango Festival was my first live show experience. There were two stages, one for local talent and one for the headliners. Pretty Ricky was really big at the time so it was jam-packed with people from all over. One of the local dance groups had just got off stage and this one girl caught my eye.
She was the prettiest girl in the world too so I made sure I introduced myself and got her number. We were only like 11 at the time so it was a house phone and talking after 9 pm on school nights wasn’t gonna fly [Laughs]. I wanted to see and talk to her more but she lived in a
different city. She was a dance student at Parkway, a performing arts school in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and told me that if I got accepted into one of the magnet programs they would send a bus for me.
So, one morning my dad dropped me off at school and I pretended to walk in but I never did. When he left I found the closest bus stop. I had never taken the city bus on my own but I knew how to use Google. I figured it out and got there. I had already called the school and scheduled an audition. I pretended to be my dad. Yeah, I was a very crafty kid. [Laughs]
I met with a man named “Mr. John” and he kept asking me where my dad was, and I told him we should just get started since my dad was “outside in the car stuck on a work call” and had to go soon. Mr John showed me around and asked me which program I was interested in. I decided to sing a song in hopes of being accepted into the vocal program. I sang John Legend’s Ordinary People and funny enough Mr. John turned out to be the vocal director. Damn, there’s a lot of Johns’ in this story [Laughs]
So the next day I found out that I got accepted! I had to figure out how to tell my mom what I did, but surprisingly enough she didn’t really trip. She took me the next day and got me registered and that was the beginning of a path that I’m still on today. I was now having to sing every day and I became well known for my voice. I was “the new kid that could sing”.
What are some of your biggest achievements and milestones?
1. Well being from Florida I didn’t grow up with many “big break” opportunities In regard to music. Things are changing now but at the time Pit Bull and Flo Rida were really the only two international artists within arms reach.
I didn’t speak fluent Spanish so I thought Flo was my best bet. I told myself that one day I would get his attention and one day I actually did!
I started posting videos of me singing covers on YouTube my second semester of college and a girl I knew ended up becoming his personal assistant and showed him my videos.
I got a phone call from him while he was in Vegas for the Grammy and he asked if I would be interested in meeting with his manager Freezy down in Miami. I, of course, agreed and the rest is history.
2. During the days of Myspace I would post a lot of my music and it would get the attention of other local artists looking to collaborate. Some of those artists went on to become multi-platinum selling artists such as, and Sean Kingston.
At the time, I was more focused on my academics but having people around me that became so successful by sticking with what they loved made it all the more real to me. It made that dream that I once thought was unrealistic and achievable.
3. I once heard someone say if you’re in the room you deserve to be there. Well, I’ve been to some rooms! Each time I’m reminded that I’m right where I’m supposed to be and to never give up on my dreams.
4. While Being signed to Flo-Rida, I learned how to move like an artist.
I’m so grateful for that experience.
How did your background affect your journey and current situation? What influenced youto become a Singer and Musical Artist?
So on my mom’s side, my family members are very creative, mostly with their hands. There is a lot of sewing, cooking, and arts and crafts. On my dad’s side, work ethic comes into play. All of the Bakers are hard workers. Because I was the only one in the family that was into music I would be put on the spot often, and that’s what gave me the experience and confidence to consider myself a singer.
Was there a certain moment that was a turning point in your life?
I was always told that I go to college, get a job, and start a family. That’s all I knew. Academics came extremely easy to me, to a point where I never really felt like I was learning anything.
I graduated high school early and went to FAMU with every intention of becoming a Dermatologist. When I got there I just didn’t feel motivated to attend any of my classes. Being away from home for the first time and not having any parents to force you to do anything didn’t help either [Laughs]
I was on academic probation the whole time and knew I didn’t want to be there. My childhood friend Kisean famously known as Sean Kingston invited me to come to visit him in Hollywood Hills, CA for Christmas break and it changed my life.
It was my first time in California and it was my first time seeing Sean since he became a Pop-star. He lived in this amazing mansion overlooking the mountains and I couldn’t believe that the same kid I met on myspace and made music with had attained all of this.
I got back to my dorm room with two twin beds and a snoring roommate waiting on me. but I had a new perspective on what was possible and I wasn’t going to shortchange myself. I finished my freshman year of college and never went back.
How did that help you shift to who you are today?
That was just the beginning of my journey toward discovering my magic. The power of manifestation. I strongly believe that when you believe you can have something, it’s already yours.
What is next for Tevin Baker?!
I’m currently in the process of finishing my EP, I am putting my hear and soul into every word and melody. I feel like it’s finally time to share more of my music with the world.
I also have a BIG announcement coming up that I am not allowed to share at the moment, but I know it’s going to be something the fans will love and appreciate.

Tory Lanez has denied being involved in an altercation with August Alsina after the “No Love” singer claimed Tory assaulted him after he came off stage on Saturday night (Sept. 17).
August alleged that the Canadian crooner snuck him before hiding behind his armed bodyguard. He claimed Tory was extra “turnt” after “hitting a blunt laced with cocaine,” and assaulted him because he refused to dap him up.

According to August Alsina, Tory Lanez, whom he described as a “4’11 sized leprechaun,” “ran down on me,” following his show. He explained that he was a fan until Tory spoke about his business publicly. August said Tory “caught me off guard,” and “I assumed he didn’t like me.”
August claims “no disrespectful words were exchanged” during the conversation. However, “he snuck me when I turned my head to move to the side,” before running away. “There was never a “fight”!,” August Alsina stated. “Simply an Assault. Dude has no real friends, and is on a crash out mission.”
The New Orleans-bred singer said he “was gone keep it G & not come to the net,” but claimed Tory was “feeding falsities to blogs.” Check out his lengthy post below.
Nonetheless, Tory Lanez says he has no idea what August Alsina is talking about. “Nothing happened,” he told DJ Akademiks on Sunday. “I don’t even know what this kid is talking about.”
DJs are extremely crucial to the music industry. Not only are they playing music for an audience, but a DJ is also primarily responsible for providing knowledge about music to his listeners. Whenever a new artist emerges on the scene, they automatically reach out to DJs in hopes of getting their record spun. They are able to let artists know which of their music their fans are engaging with and which they are not.
A DJ has the power of transforming an event just based on their tracklist. They can bring the dynamics and liveliness to a musical event in ways no other medium is able to match. Dj Smiles from Iowa is a prime example of understanding the power of music. His talents have landed him on tour with a few big-name artists, and given him the opportunity to travel the world. Having an ear for music turned into a career that has changed his life.
When asked, “
What can we expect from you this year? DJ Smiles replied, “Top of the year to be placed with an artist as the official DJ”.
