Kanye Working To Make His Clothing Line Free To Everyone

Kanye West won’t “co-parent” the products he makes with Adidas unless the sports giant stops treating him like he’s “dead.”

The rapper-turned-Yeezy fashion mogul has been involved in a public war of words with Adidas and the company’s CEO Kasper Rørsted since the summer, when Kanye accused Rørsted of copying his Yeezy slides.

It appears Kanye’s anger has now simmered slightly, with the 45-year-old admitting in a new interview with Forbes that all might not be lost with the partnership.

“There’s a possibility (we) can co-parent products that we make, but not in a way where I’m not getting say-so over colorways, and where they’re treating me like I’m dead,” he mused.

He also spoke about his new YZY SHDZ sunglasses line, explaining how he’s planning to keep the retail cost low for the glasses – and all new products he hopes to add to a standalone store bearing his name.

“When it’s sold in America, it’ll be made in America, and when it’s sold in China, it’ll be manufactured in China,” he stated. “So the glasses will cost $20, and everything in the Ye Supply store will be $20. And, we’re working on how to make clothing free. Because life is free.”

Kanye recently spoke about his desire to go it alone for all future fashion projects after his partnership with brands including Nike, Adidas and Gap soured.

Over the weekend, he filed trademarks for Donda Sport clothing and accessories.

Roddy Ricch Delivers A Message To Los Angeles About Senseless Violence

Los Angeles was once again the location where a promising young entertainer tragically lost his life. Compton-raised rap star Roddy Ricch has addressed the violence taking place in the area.

On September 12, a gunman shot and killed Philadelphia rapper Rakim “PnB Rock” Allen at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in LA. After PnB Rock’s untimely death, Roddy Ricch took his Instagram Story to deliver a message to the city of angels.

“LA! Usually, I try to mind my business and let the world rotate but we gotta do better,” wrote Ricch. “It’s too much senseless violence. Too much opportunity and motivation to take things other people work hard for. It’s too much life to live to take someone else’s away.”

The 23-year-old Live Life Fast album creator added, “I love my city but we can’t keep going out like this. Before you know it, it’ll be nobody left to take from or kill. Let’s stay on point, stay aware, and find better ways to pursue our dreams because this s### turning into ALL NIGHTMARES.”

Roddy Ricch was also closely associated with the late Nipsey Hussle (born Airmiess Joseph Asghedom). Nipsey Hussle lost his life on March 31, 2019, after being shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles.

In addition, home invaders killed rising rapper Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson in the Los Angeles region. Hospital officials pronounced the Brooklyn native dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on February 19, 2020.

Roddy Ricch collaborated with PnB Rock on the “Evolved” track off the deluxe edition of Rock’s TrapStar Turnt PopStar album. Pop Smoke recruited Ricch for “The Woo” with 50 Cent. Plus, Roddy Ricch won a Grammy Award for his work on Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks In The Middle” single.

Doja Cat Trolls Fans About Her Fourth Album Being R&B With No Rap

It is not clear exactly what route Doja Cat will take with the follow-up album to her commercially successful Planet Her. She has teased different sounds for the yet-to-be-announced project over the last few weeks.

During a recent interview, Doja Cat suggested her next body of work would be heavily influenced by European culture. She said, “I’m very into this ’90s German rave kind of vibe right now and it’s really fun.”

Doja also stated, “I know that’s kind of the trend at the moment but I loved that stuff as a kid and now that I can express it (obviously, I couldn’t buzz my head and wear a furry bra and have a belly button piercing back then), I’m sort of embracing that. That’s kind of a hint to the album. Rave culture, not House.”

However, Doja Cat informed her 5.4 million Twitter followers that those comments were meant to be a rib. On Tuesday, she tweeted, “I’m not doing a German rave culture album you guys, I was pranking the outlet that interviewed me about it.”

https://twitter.com/DojaCat/status/1572377470783070211?s=20&t=neK_CsaYJjD6QqQIBPIVEQ

Around the same time, Doja Cat also wrote, “I’m doing an R&B album… Straight R&B no rap at all.” The 26-year-old performer then teased a completely different style of music before going back to saying DC4 will be R&B and then changing her mind to Rock.

“Yall, I was lying. I’m doing an experimental Jazz album. I thought it would be funny to steer you into believing I was doing R&B cuz I knew it would work but I’m doing experimental Jazz now, honest truth,” tweeted Doja Cat.

There was some controversy surrounding the classifying of Doja Cat’s 2021 album Planet Her. The RCA Records release is listed as Pop on Apple Music. This led to some backlash when Doja Cat and Planet Her received industry award nominations in R&B categories and Hip Hop categories.

Vic Mensa Talks Launching 93 Boyz Cannabis Company

Chicago-bred rapper Victor “Vic Mensa” Mensah is the head of a new equity-focused cannabis brand called 93 Boyz. According to Mensa, 93 Boyz is the first Black-owned marijuana company in the state of Illinois.

The 29-year-old Roc Nation recording artist also visited a BP gas station in his hometown near his mother’s house. Vic Mensa and 93 Boyz surprised local residents with a five-figure donation of free gasoline.

“To celebrate the launch of 93 Boyz, the first Black cannabis brand in Chicago, we went to the gas station on the block where I grew up and gave away $10,000 of free gas,” said Mensa. “At a time when many people are struggling to fill their tank, it felt good to be able to help the community in a real way.”

Vic Mensa’s mission for 93 Boyz involves reinvestment in communities and individuals that have been disproportionately affected by outdated laws associated with cannabis consumption. The brand also entered into a partnership with Books Before Bars, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing books to underserved Illinois prison libraries.

Vic Mensa Wants 93 Boyz To Change The Narrative About The Weed Industry

“Selling weed was my first hustle. It taught me work ethic, entrepreneurship, and funded all of my first music projects,” stated Mensa. “As someone with a lifelong experience of anxiety and depression, it’s amazing to be able to help people facing those and other issues while working with something I love.”

The Autobiography album creator added, “The war on drugs has had a devastating impact on my community, and yet our representation in the cannabis industry is less than 2%. 93 Boyz is changing that narrative while combining high quality, tastemaker weed with socially conscious initiatives.”

In addition to being a businessman, Vic Mensa also released numerous music projects. His 2013 mixtape, Innanetape, helped the rhymer earn a place on the 2014 XXL Freshman Class cover. Mensa also scored a Best Rap Song nomination (“All Day”) at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

Does Ice Spice Have A Sex Tape?

Ice Spice is the new hot chick in New York that has everybody talking. So, most recently she was “flewed” out to see Drake. It seemed like the 6-God was going to sign her, but suddenly he unfollowed her on social media. Nobody knows what happened. It just seemed like there was so much hope there. Anyway, her prices are still way up there, no matter what. By the way, I am definitely a much.

Seriously, she has a lot of haters. And, the truth is, I do not know why! She is pretty, raps standard stuff and is pretty. I don’t see what makes her so different other than she came out of nowhere! Well, in these days and times, just about anything can happen.

It seems like her short past in the game has resulted in some controversy. She allegedly has a sex tape already. The truth is there’s something out there, but it is such poor quality that I cannot tell. First of all, it is oral sex, not intercourse. Secondly, they have covered up most of the video and shown mostly the hair. As you know, she has that ginger-type of hair. Seeing the image is not confirmation to me. It is also not a flat-out refutal either.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CgM_yixOpo4/?hl=en

I cannot post any parts of the sex tape, because I do not want to cross any lines. Nevertheless, it is not much to see. You seen one, you seen them all. Some people have suggested it is Drake, but I do not believe that to be the case. That would mean Drake likely leaked it.

Is Lamar Odom Dating Transgender Model Daniiellè Alexis?

What is going on?

According to the internets, Lamar Odom is dating a trans woman. It has not been confirmed yet…but there’s considerable smoke.

The streets are saying that Lamar Odom, who is 42 years old, is off the dating market. What they are saying is that Odom is dating somebody that looks just like his ex Khloé Kardashian. The only thing is, there is a huge difference. The model, Danielle Alexis, is an Australian model and actor that is also a trans woman.

A post shared by Daniiellè Alexis (@daniiellealexis)

Alexis, an actress through and through, admitted that she was born a boy. Neither Chloe or Lamar Odom have commented on the relationship. However, Odom has openly admitted that he is a heterosexual male. For some, this is the latest instance of programming that projects LGBTQ+ initiatives within the Black community. For others, this is a progressive step forward for a straight male to recognize trans women as actual women. You can feel free to offer. your opinion in the comments.

The question is is, is he really dating her. They have been very public with their relationship. On her IG, she said “One of the most beautiful humans I’ve met. 🐑💕.” Is that relationship romantic? That has yet to be determined. The rumor mill is treating this as a factual an actual relationship. And some people are even excited.

This news and rumor has been covered from everybody from MSNBC to Mediatakeout. I guess we’ll find out the truth in a bit!

MedSpa Goes Hard At 50 Cent In Response To Penile Enhancement Lawsuit

A MedSpa owner denied any wrongdoing after 50 Cent sued her for allegedly implying he had penile enhancement surgery.

Angela Kogan’s lawyer Darren Heitner sent a lengthy statement to TMZ defending his client. According to Heitner, Kogan never claimed 50 Cent had penile enhancement.

“Ms. Kogan’s policy is to not disclose the services that her clients receive, but she affirms that Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa never provided penile enhancement treatment to Mr. Jackson,” the attorney wrote. “She has never stated otherwise, either publicly or privately. Instead, Ms. Kogan merely thanked Mr. Jackson for stopping by Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa with social media posts published in February 2020.”

Heitner said 50 Cent received an undisclosed treatment at Kogan’s Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa. Instead of paying for the services, the G-Unit rapper allegedly agreed to take a photo with Kogan and allowed her to post it on her social media platforms.

No issues occurred until The Shade Room published a story about Kogan and penile enhancement in August. The article used a graphic featuring the picture of Kogan and 50 Cent.

50 Cent believed Kogan misrepresented the photo, implying he underwent penile enhancement surgery. He filed a lawsuit against her and Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa.

Kogan accused 50 Cent of smearing her and her business “without cause.” She believed his grievance should be directed at The Shade Room.

“To be clear, our clients used the photograph with Mr. Jackson’s consent,” Kogan’s lawyer wrote. “Additionally, our clients never provided the photograph to The Shade Room, and The Shade Room embedded the photograph on the article without our clients’ knowledge or consent. Furthermore, our clients never falsely implied that Mr. Jackson was their client. He received services from, and thus was a client of, Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa.”

Heitner concluded, “Finally, Ms. Kogan never insinuated that she or her business provided a penile enhancement treatment to Mr. Jackson. Our clients did not take a single action to cause any damage to Mr. Jackson’s professional or personal reputation and will vigorously defend against the frivolous claims that have been publicly filed against them and their thriving business.”

Tiffany Haddish Cleared Of Abusing Minors; Victims Say She Would Never Harm Them

A Jane Doe dismissed her child sexual abuse lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears.

According to TMZ, Jane Doe asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice. She will be unable to refile the case after accusing Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears of grooming and molesting minors.

Jane Doe issued a statement about dismissing the lawsuit. She made no mention of Aries Spears but noted Tiffany Haddish “would never harm” the alleged victims.

“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us,” Jane Doe said. “We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”

The 22-year-old woman sued the comedians over sexually suggestive videos involving a then 14-year-old Jane Doe and her brother.

Jane Doe claimed Tiffany Haddish groomed her, resulting in the teenager mimicking oral sex for a video. The lawsuit also accused Aries Spears of molesting Jane Doe’s then 7-year-old brother while filming a skit titled “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.”

An attorney for Aries Spears called the lawsuit a “shakedown.” Tiffany Haddish’s lawyer initially expressed similar sentiments, but the comic later expressed regret for her role in the videos in a statement on Instagram.

“I know people have a bunch of questions,” she said. “I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now. But, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all — and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.”

PnB Rock’s Family In Beef Over Rapper’s Body Over Religious Conflict

The family of rapper PnB Rock will finally be receiving his body, after publicly complaining about having struggles getting it back to Philadelphia. Officials were reluctant to send the body before certain parts of the investigation of his death were completed.

According to TMZ, the artist’s mother petitioned to have his body sent to them immediately, to honor their Islamic religious tradition.

However, the medical examiner would not yield to the request and worked with authorities to gather discovery for the homicide investigation.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the charter topper was murdered on Monday, September 12th, while eating lunch with his girlfriend at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles restaurants.

Since then, the rapper’s mother has traveled to California, going straight to the examiner’s office to identify the body and work to have it released.

The LAPD was called to the L.A. County Coroner’s because the family did not want to have an autopsy performed. The examiner’s office told them they had to do the procedure on his body, despite the sensitive timing restraints.

His brother PnB Meen wrote online, “We been having trouble getting My brothers back to Philadelphia. The state of Los Angeles claiming they have some type of law going against ours as Muslims. Now I have no clue when his Janazah.”

The statement continued, “It’s not right, yo. It’s going on a week. Prayers Up. Got you big bro and ya daughters.”

Houston Rapper Da Breadman Sentenced To 23+ Years In Federal Prison

The United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas has sentenced Houston rapper, Da Breadman to federal prison after he was convicted of conspiracy to distribute and distribute drugs.

According to U.S. Attorney B. Lowery, the drugs pinned on the 43-year-old artist were meth, cocaine, and various forms of opioids.

The rapper, whose real name is Jermaine West and a member of the Hood Kat Music Group rap studio, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of drug trafficking in the Houston area on April 6th and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge George Hanks ordered West to serve 23 years and 3 months in federal prison.

After his 280 months, the “Whip It” artist would immediately enter into six years of supervised release.

The statement said, “At the hearing, the court heard the additional argument that West had engaged in gang activity beyond his drug trafficking.

In handing down the sentence, Judge Hanks noted that West ‘destroyed people’s lives.’ The court further noted that ‘for 20 years [West] played a dangerous game,’ and that he had “played the game and lost.”

Da Breadman’s involvement in gang culture was the trigger to have people investigate him. The FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration started conducting the investigation into The Breadman’s case with the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Houston Police Department in 2019.

The Breadman took his deal as a result of the “Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation dubbed Operation Bullet Trap.”

“OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States. It uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Texas.

Da Breadman is now locked up in a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility and will be there until further notice.

Mystikal Pleads Not Guilty To Rape & Drug Charges

On Monday, Michael Lawrence Tyler (aka Mystikal) pled not guilty to rape and drug possession charges in Louisiana.

According to reports, authorities charged the Grammy-nominated rapper with simple criminal damage to property, false imprisonment, domestic abuse, battery, and strangulation, simple robbery, and first-degree rape.

Prosecutors claim Mystikal had heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, and Xanax as well as drug paraphernalia in his Prairieville, Louisiana home. The 51-year-old New Orleans native’s lawyer pushed back on those accusations.

“My client doesn’t even do drugs, so he has absolutely no idea what they were talking about,” Mystikal’s attorney, Joel Pearce, told the Associated Press.

This is not the first time Mystikal has been accused of sexual assault. The “Shake Ya Ass” performer was charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping in a separate 2017 case in Caddo Parish. Those charges were eventually dismissed in December 2020 due to a lack of evidence.

In addition, Mystikal pled guilty to sexual battery and extortion charges in 2003. After serving a six-year prison sentence, the former No Limit Records flagbearer is required to register as a sex offender.

“People keep saying it’s his third time to be charged [with rape],” said attorney Joel Pearce. “In Caddo Parish, after a grand jury indicted him, they un-indicted him.”

Prior to his legal issues, Mystikal released the Platinum-certified albums Unpredictable in 1997 and Ghetto Fabulous in 1998. The RIAA awarded a 2x-Platinum plaque for 2000’s Let’s Get Ready studio LP. He also contributed to Master P’s classic posse cut “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!”

Lil Baby Reportedly Partied With Travis Scott Before Canceling Festival Performance

Lil Baby issued an apology for missing his performance at Vancouver’s 2022 Breakout Festival on September 18. According to the 27-year-old rapper, health complications played a role in his decision to pull out of the show.

“I would like to start off by saying I truly apologize [to] Vancouver, Canada, The Breakout Festival, and to everyone who was in attendance!” wrote Lil Baby on his Instagram Story.

The Atlanta native continued, “I have been going so hard these past few months without any breaks that it finally caught up with me. And my body completely shut down. I owe you guys big time and will for sure make up for it soon.”

However, a new article claims Lil Baby partied with other celebrities just hours before his scheduled headlining gig at the Breakout Festival. Baby apparently showed up at Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

The event supposedly served as a celebration of professional boxer Canelo Álvarez’s victory over Gennady Golovkin on September 17. According to TMZ, Travis Scott and DJ Drama also joined Lil Baby at the Vegas function.

It is not clear if Lil Baby attended Zouk that night as a paid attendee or just as a guest. Baby has been known to take club bookings outside of his larger gigs like music festivals and the recently wrapped “One Of Them Ones” tour with Chris Brown.

Lil Baby canceling his Breakout Festival appearance became headline news because of the violent fallout. Multiple outlets reported riots breaking out at the PNE Amphitheatre after the rap star announced the cancelation.

City Girls Discuss Dating Diddy & Lil Uzi Vert

Members of the Florida-bred City Girls are in two of the most high-profile relationships in Hip Hop culture at the moment.

Both Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee and Jatavia” JT” Johnson spoke about their respective partners during an interview with PopSugar. Yung Miami has been romantically linked to Revolt founder Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“People don’t know us. They don’t know what the f### we got goin’ on,” stated Yung Mami about her connection with Diddy. “I’m in there like, ‘Shut the f### up. Y’all don’t know what we have going on. Me and him gon’ be married — boom!’ No, I’m just saying.”

Yung Miami currently has a working relationship with Diddy as well. The City Girls rapper’s Caresha Please podcast airs on the Revolt network. As for JT, the Quality Control Music representative dates Philadelphia-raised rap star, Lil Uzi Vert.

“It made me a much better person,” said JT about her relationship with Uzi. “I feel like I found my home with him, my safe space. Once you find your safe space, you know.”

JT was supportive of Lil Uzi Vert’s decision to change their pronouns to they/them. Uzi has not confirmed that they identify as non-binary, but their girlfriend offered public backing for what could be an eventual new gender identification.

City Girls Also Talk About A Possible Third Studio Album

So far, the City Girls album catalog includes 2018’s Girl Code and 2020’s City on Lock. While Yung Miami recently declared she was done with making rap music, the duo is said to be working on another body of work.

“P#### rap — [it’s] what we stand for,” answered JT when asked about what fans could expect on a future City Girls project. “It’s confident music, getting-ready music, girl-power music, pop-your-s###, talk-your-s### music, fun music, alter-ego music. It’s for everybody. City Girl s###, for real.”

City Girls connected with R&B legend Usher for the “Good Love” collaboration. That single peaked at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July. JT and Yung Miami also showed up this year on “Bills Paid” off DJ Khaled’s God Did.
