EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Sued For Another $7.4 Million By “Culture Vulture” Lawyer

(AllHipHop News) A new front has opened up in Damon Dash’s legal war with a lawyer he maintains has targeted him for “extortion.”

Lawyer Christopher Brown just smacked Dame with a $7.4 million libel lawsuit due to his constant attacks on social media.

Christopher Brown is asking a court for millions over a series of remarks Damon posted in January of 2019, labeling Brown and his client Josh Webber of being “con” men.

Brown and filmmaker Josh Webber are furious at Damon for ruining their reputations by claiming they stole a movie called “Dear Frank/The List,” which stars Robin Givens, Romeo Miller, David Banner, Kandi Burress, Karrueche Tran, and others.

Damon claims he was promised equity, while Muddy Water and Webber say the rap mogul wasn’t guaranteed anything.

Damon’s battle with Christopher Brown became headline news after the Roc-A-Fella founder’s fiery statements during a deposition for a lawsuit over the movie.

Brown gave up on questioning Damon during a deposition on November 21st, 2019 in New York, which ended when the cops were called.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBcmTUYn0EQ

To complicate the legal wrangling, Christopher Brown is representing two other clients who are also suing Damon Dash.

Brown is also representing a filmmaker suing Damon over the 2016 film “Mafietta: Rise Of A Female Boss,” in addition to a photographer named Monique Bunn.

Earlier this week, Christopher Brown asked a judge to award grant him a $51 million default judgment against Damon, for failing to reply to the sexual assault lawsuit.

As a result of Damon’s posts, the lawyer and his client have been subject to ridicule, in addition to losing work and receiving death threats.

Brown is asking a judge to make Damon Dash give him $6,840,000 in damages, in addition to another $565,000, or $1 for each one of the rap mogul’s followers.

Peter Gunz Denies Having A 19-year Old Girlfriend (Again)!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I admit, I am not personally up on what Peter Gunz us up to. For me, I wanna hear more about what his son Cory Gunz is working on, that’s neither here nor there. Peter Gunz has continued to stay in the public eye for all to see, mostly through reality TV. I ain’t mad at him.

Anyway, he IS mad at AllHipHop!

He sent a kite through something, who sent it to somebody at AllHipHop, who sent it to another person at AllHipHop, who sent it to me! “Tell AllHipHop I ain’t dating no 19-year old!” Sheeeh! So, I went to google thing stuff, just to see what is going on.

First of all…there are a number of reports that suggest he is dating a 19-year old. Last year, this was a big deal: Peter Gunz Impregnates A 19-year Old.” I mean, there is a slew of them, if you will!

https://twitter.com/aceshowbiz/status/1133277615458885632

There are also a number of reports where Mr. Gunz has responded emphatically stating that he is not seeing any 19-year old!

I don’t know where AllHipHop got this information, but It would seem like the information is incorrect. Now, I said I ain’t a follower of Peter Gunz or reality TV, but I remember THIS:

A lot of people regard big homie as a habitual cheater and baby maker, but I think he’s a Black man surviving in AmeriKKKa! Still, an unrefined Cardi B checked him hard on this day. Epic.

I have not watched “Cheaters” in a very long time, but I think they have the perfect host in Peter Gunz. I wish him well! Lets go! I am going to start watching again!

Jay-Z Defends NFL Partnership Ahead of Super Bowl LIV

(AllHipHop News) In an interview with the New York Times, Jay-Z discussed Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL.

The rapper and mogul opened up about the deal, which gives him the power to influence the Super Bowl’s music events, including the coveted halftime show.

This year, Super Bowl LIV’s halftime show will be headlined by Roc Nation client Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

The deal has also Jay to take on the NFL’s social justice initiative, Inspire Change. Inspire Change is described as being an “education and economic advancement, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.”

Roc Nation asked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, to commit the league to spend $100 million over the next 10 years on social justice outreach and causes.

The initial announcement of Jay-Z’s partnership with the NFL last year sparked criticism and was often referenced as a “betrayal” to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.

“No one is saying he hasn’t been done wrong,” Jay-Z said. “He was done wrong. I would understand if it was three months ago. But it was three years ago and someone needs to say, ‘What do we do now — because people are still dying?’”

Colin Kaepernick is still teamless after choosing to kneel during the national anthem in 2016 to stand in solidity with Black lives lost due to police brutality.

He later left the 49ers at the end of the season and hasn’t been hired by an N.F.L. team since the incident.

Despite the criticism, Jay-Z stands firmly in his decision to partner with the NFL.

“As long as real people are being hurt and marginalized and losing family members, then yes, I can take a couple rounds of negative press,” Jay-Z said.

The interview also stated that the Super Bowl will sponsor a broadcast of a public service video that’s part of a series that shows the stories of black men and boys killed by police.

Joe Budden Says Terry Crews Wanted Sexual Assault!?!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Terry Crews is not really well-liked right now. I feel like that man needs to keep his head low, get his money, love his family and keep his mouth shut for a bit. He’s just doing too much! Looking at the most recent stuff especially is disturbing. He threw Gabby Union under the bus when he didn’t have to and got the whole Black Nation screaming on him and calling him a c00n or Uncle Tom! It should not be this way.

He has since apologized, but the talk continues. This time, Joe Budden is talking and taking it back a bit. This is way out of context, but he skipped the debacle with Gabrielle Union and went back to the allegations that a wild, but powerful white back grabbed Terry Crews black genitals. Terry said he felt powerless even thought he is big enough to break that man in half. He was the only high-profile man to be a part of the #metoo movement.

Joe said in his podcast that he believes that Terry Crews liked having his penis grabbed by a white man. “Why else would that man feel comfortable grabbing his penis in front of his wife?” the rapper queried! Basically he said that Terry is too damn big for that to happen to him and he not want it to happen. HE NEVER BELIEVED HIM. I guess he is saying it now because he would have gotten flack for saying it when it was a hot topic. He went farther and said that Terry is just shucking and jiving and Gabby is the real victim. Now, Terry has said that he felt like beating up a powerful white man would  mean he would never work again in Hollywood and I believe him.

Check out the video.

Boosie Badazz Strikes Plea Deal in Weed Case

(AllHipHop News) Boosie Badazz has struck a plea deal in his April 2019 drug case.

The rapper was pulled over last year in his Dodge Charger for swerving from lane to lane and nearly hitting another car.

Police found weed, a gun, and over $20,000 in cash. Boosie pled guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana and was later released on a $3,500 bond.

In a report by TMZ, documents from the Coweta County D.A.’s office revealed prosecutors dropped charges of possession of a controlled substance and failure to maintain lane.

Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch, will avoid jail time and will receive six months of probation and a $1,000 fine. Boosie could’ve possibly been sentenced to a year in jail.

In 2009, Boosie served five years behind bars in Louisiana for drug charges and he also beat a murder charge in May of 2012.

The Baton Rouge rapper recently made headlines and received backlash for wearing a Kappa Alpha Psi sweater, despite not being a member of the fraternity.

Boosie has since apologized. He stated, “I wanna give a shout out to all the Kappas man. If I offended y’all in any kind of way that’s my bad. I ain’t gonna wear y’all shirt no more but I just found out that y’all step to ‘Wipe Me Down.'”

EXCLUSIVE: Juice WRLD Estate Has No Rep To Handle Legal Affairs Says Lawyer

(AllHipHop News) A lawyer for songwriters being sued with Juice WRLD over his hit song “Lucid Dreams” has revealed that there is no one handling the business affairs of the late rapper’s estate.

“They have recently learned that Mr. Higgins’s estate has not yet gone through the probate process, and that there presently is no authorized representative to handle the Estate’s affairs,” according to lawyer Mark C. Humphrey.

The lack of structure is affecting pop-punk band Yellowcard’s $15 million lawsuit against the deceased rapper.

Yellowcard sued Juice WRLD in October of 2019, alleging his breakthrough single took “melodic elements” of their song “Holly Wood Died” without permission.

In addition to Juice WRLD, co-writer Taz Taylor, producer Nicholas Mira, publisher BMG Rights Management, and record label Grade A Productions are named in the lawsuit.

Tragically, Juice WRLD, real name Jarad Higgins, died inside Chicago’s Midway International Airport after a drug overdose on December 8th, 2019.

Yellowcard decided to pursue the lawsuit against Juice WRLD’s estate and a judge gave the surviving defendants until February 4th to reply after the rap star’s death, but they will not be able to comply due to lack of communication with the rapper’s estate.

“The Estate’s current inability to participate in this action creates a number of impediments to Defendants’ defense of this action, including but not limited to their ability to conduct a factual investigation,” according to their lawyer Mark C. Humphrey.

Now, a judge overseeing the case is giving the remaining defendants until March 3rd, 2020 to reply to Yellowcard’s lawsuit.

Last week, it was revealed Juice WRLD’s label Grade A Productions is sitting on over 2,000 songs the rapper left behind, although plans for the tunes have not been divulged.

Hip Hop Artist Ghostluvme Releases New Music Video “Bull Vine”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6IVGlG_hO0

It’s no secret that the hip hop landscape is supersaturated. From Soundcloud echo chambers to hype machines pushing a profusion of poseurs, it can be difficult for audiences to distinguish authentic voices from posturing doppelgangers.

But with a unique flow and a mesmerizing lyrical aptitude, 25-year-old rapper/ singer Ghostluvme is poised to take the hip hop world by storm. Featuring production by Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum producer Scott Storch (Beyonce, Pink, Christina Aguilera), Zaytoven (Usher, Migos), Statik Selektah (Mac Miller, 2 Chainz), and Ronny J (6ix9ine, Post Malone, Kanye West). Ghostluvme’s upcoming debut album Fear of Luvin in Las Vegas is a bass-heavy excursion brimming with trap and R&B influences.

The first single “Bullvine” is orchestrated by Grazi, an up and coming Las Vegas producer and a song that finds Clayton waxing poetic about a love interest more interested in Louboutins than a relationship. Filmed in LA by visual director Wavylord, most known for his work with Kodak Black and Trippie Redd, the music video finds Clayton destroying guitars and daydreaming at a diner with bits of yo-yo’ing in between.

In the realm of contemporary pop culture, it’s easy to secure one’s 15 minutes of fame. But few are fortunate enough to make the most of it, transforming it into a launch pad for a long and viable career.

Much of this is based on the right elements and a formula that incorporates the variables of time, opportunity, preparedness, and the intangible, elusive X factor. Ghostluvme seems to be at the intersection of all the above. And if his upcoming undertaking Fear of Luvin in Las Vegas is any indication, he undoubtedly is here to stay.

Promoter Sues DaBaby For $6 Million Over $20K Street Fight

(AllHipHop News) It’s official: DaBaby is facing a lawsuit from a promoter who promised to sue the rap star over a fight at Miami hotel, over show money last month.

DaBaby was sent to jail in Miami, Florida on January 3rd, over claims he beat up a promoter named Kenneth Carey during a dispute over a $20,000 appearance fee.

In new legal documents, Carey says one of DaBaby’s associates caused $10,000 worth of damage to a rental car the promoter paid for as part of the rapper’s booking agreement.

DaBaby’s friend was allegedly responsible for the damage, so he allegedly asked Carey to fork over the $10,000 since he was already giving a hefty discount to appear at the party, which was for rising rapper Stunna 4 Vegas.

When the promoter came up $10,000 short, a dispute erupted and the guy ended up getting smacked up by DaBaby and a few associates, who stomped him, pulled his pants down and dosed him with apple juice.

In addition to being charged with battery, DaBaby is now facing a $6 million lawsuit.
