Cardi B has apologized after sparking backlash by hosting dinner for nearly 40 people on Thanksgiving.
The “WAP” star took to Twitter to reveal she had hosted “12 kids and 25 adults over the holidays,” adding: “It was lit!”
Her tweet caused controversy among her followers on the social media site, due to the fact that she held the bash during the coronavirus pandemic, with one person writing: “I can promise you it’s not worth it to everyone else who is affected by your poor choices aka the healthcare workers who you will run to when you’re sick.”
Another wrote: “Sis I love you but anyone behaving this way during a pandemic deserves to be dragged.”
Sorry my bad wasn’t trying to make nobody feel bad.I just had my family in my home for the first time and it felt so good & uplifted me .I spent soo much money getting every1 tested but it felt worth it.I wasnt trying to offend no1. https://t.co/gjGo1JAvnY
Following the backlash, Cardi returned to Twitter to apologize, writing: “Sorry my bad wasn’t trying to make nobody feel bad.I just had my family in my home for the first time and it felt so good & uplifted me.
“I spent soo much money getting every1 tested but it felt worth it. I wasnt trying to offend no1.”
She later added: “People be trying tooo hard to be offended.I wonder how they survive the real world (laughing crying emoji).”

Rapper Boosie Badazz assured friends and fans he’s well on the way to recovering from surgeries after a shooting injury by showing up to a club date on Thanksgiving night.
He hosted a Thanksgiving Bash at the Exquis Event Center in Charleston, South Carolina from a wheelchair.
The last time I checked we were in a whole pandemic out here. Reginae went out into the world and celebrated her 22nd birthday out in Atlanta and there was no regard for COVID-19 whatsoever. Lil Wayne, Toya, 2Chainz, Juvenile and a whole bunch of other people were in the party just carrying on with no masks and no social distancing whatsoever.
At this point, I don’t know what to think because people simply don’t get it! And then we see why 70% of all coronavirus cases are afflicting black people. We can’t sit and talk about not wanting to take vaccines…AND not do what we’re supposed to do. Needless to say, the Internet went wild and now Reginae is a trending topic on social platforms. I’m thinking, she just wanted to show off her new implants and did so all last night, right around her father and mother.
I understand I am old school and so therefore that would never be something that I could personally do. But I just know that these people were fully aware of the coronavirus epidemic and continue to party like it was 1999. What happens next? Some of these people are going to go out into the world already sick and spread it to more people, they will get sick, and more people will get sick, and then they will end up in the hospital and infect people like doctors and nurses who we actually need to fight this pandemic.
Let me get off my soapbox and just congratulate Reginae for a happy 22nd birthday.
Here are some of the tweets from Black Twitter!

Rapper Rick Ross is jumping into the healthcare business through a new deal with a healthcare provider called Jetdoc in a new strategic partnership.
Rick Ross, who is now a spokesperson, advisor, and investor in Jetdoc, is going to help his fans connect to licensed healthcare professionals in a matter of minutes.
“I damn near lost my life on two or three different occasions, so to me staying alive is more important,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I got people that love me and depend on me. When I woke up and got out in the hospital, when I thought about, you know, the closest ones next to me, my best friends, my relatives yo, this is the answer. Jetdoc, is that this is the only way to go.”
Rozay will be appearing in new digital and television ads to educate consumers about Jetdoc’s new platform.
“As an active artist and businessman, I often don’t have time to see a doctor. I’d make excuses and prioritize my healthcare second to my hustle,” Rick Ross continued.
“Jetdoc is a convenient and affordable alternative to going into a doctor’s office,” Rick Ross continued. “To me, it’s really the future of healthcare. I wanted to be a part of empowering people to take control of their health regardless of their circumstances. Jetdoc puts the power of managing our health into our own hands.”
Jetdoc’s platform allows users to set up a virtual doctor appointment with speed and ease at a fraction of the cost of a traditional visit to preventive and urgent care healthcare professionals.
According to Jetdoc CEO Tommy Duncan, he launched his platform after he had a stroke at the age of 30. And despite working in the healthcare business, he couldn’t find access to the right doctors to help him with his recovery.
“I still had difficulty in getting proper care. So with Jetdoc, we created a tool that empowers everyone to take control and affordably manage their own healthcare,” Tommy Duncan explained. “Adding Rick Ross to the team made perfect sense because he immediately understood our mission and he embodies the spirit of both ownership in both health and business.”
Jetdoc users can visit an urgent healthcare professional for just $20 bucks for a one-time virtual urgent care visit, while $10 will get you a monthly membership.
Jetdoc members will also get a free Jetdoc DiscountRx Card for up to 85% off retail prices for prescription medication at most major retailer pharmacies.
Jetdoc is currently in beta mode and is servicing the patients in Florida, while a nationwide rollout is slated for 2021.
Def Jam is entering the U.K. market in a big way- by signing one of the country’s best-known rap stars.
Last week, the storied label announced the launch of the new 0207 Def Jam imprint, and this week the company revealed they snagged Stormzy as its flagship artist.
The name 0207 Def Jam is inspired by a telephone code in Stormzy’s hometown of London, where he has made a name for himself as one of the best rapper’s, since his debut in X.
The label is headed up by Ghanaian London-born twin brothers, Alec and Alex Boateng as co-Presidents.
Alex spent 10 years at Universal Music UK, as the president of Island Records’ first Urban Division which has played an instrumental role in breaking artists like Drake, Tiwa Savage, Buju Banton, Nav, Giggs, Unknown T, Ray BLK, M Huncho, Tekno and Miraa May in the UK.
His brother came to 0207 Def Jam after seven years at Warner Music, where he served as co-head of A&R at Atlantic, where he oversaw the rise of Stormzy, Burna Boy, WSTRN, Rita Ora and others.
“Music, art and artists really, really matter. I’m super excited to play a leadership role in this brilliant new space we’re creating for amazing music and talent to live and evolve. A space which will support both our teams and our artists to be the best version of themselves,” explained Alec Boateng, co-President of 0207 Def Jam.
Stormzy is currently working on his first batch of new music for 0207 Def Jam.
The 2020 United States presidential race is finally over, and national political news has slowly begun to fall back from the forefront of the American zeitgeist. As Donald Trump counts down his final days in the White House and Joe Biden prepares to take the oath of office, former President Barack Obama is currently on a major press run to promote his A Promised Land memoir.
‘A Promised Land’ cover
While speaking with Complex’s 360 with Speedy Morman, Obama was asked if Aubrey Drake Graham has his stamp of approval to portray him in a biographical film about the Hawaii-born politician. It appears Obama and his daughters are on board with Drake taking on that role.
“I will say this, Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants. That is a talented, talented brother. So, if the time comes and he’s ready…” said Obama. The ex-POTUS added, “Drake has, more importantly, my household’s stamp of approval. I suspect Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it.”
Drake once expressed interest in wanting to act in a biopic as Obama. In 2010, the Canadian actor/musician was quoted saying, “I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him. That’s the goal [laughs]. I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice.”
Barack Obama and Aubrey Graham have a compelling public history. During a 2016 conversation with YouTube personality Adande “Swoozie” Thorne, Obama was questioned on who he thought would win a rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The Commander in Chief picked K. Dot.
Drake appeared to respond to the president selecting the Top Dawg Entertainment emcee over him in that interview. On “Summer Sixteen,” the OVO superstar rapped, “Tell Obama that my verses are just like the whips that he in – they bulletproof.” That pre-Views track also contained subliminal bars directed at Drizzy’s then-rivals Meek Mill and Tory Lanez.
Obama recently curated “A Promised Land Official Playlist” for Spotify. The collection of tunes hosts songs by Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Eminem, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Coltrane, Sade, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, U2, and more legendary acts. The 59-year-old Democrat tweeted, “Music has always played an important role in my life – and that was especially true during my presidency.”
On November 18, the BET network aired the two-hour special titled Smoke: Marijuana + Black America. Hip Hop icon/businessman Nasir “Nas” Jones executive produced and narrated the documentary.
Nas is also lending his voice to a marijuana legalization public service announcement in conjunction with the technology company Weedmaps. The 30-second spot advocates for fair access to the growing cannabis market and references the late civil rights leader John Lewis’s call for activists to get into “good trouble” in order to spark change.
“We’re hoping to introduce a new audience to Weedmaps as well as bring attention to some of the important conversations happening around cannabis today,” said Juanjo Feijoo, Chief Marketing Officer at Weedmaps. “This is just one of many steps we are proactively taking to break down stigmas, promote social equity, and encourage all to join us in the fight for change.”
Weedmaps’ “The Fighters for Change” PSA aired during the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr boxing event on November 28. The fight, which streamed live on the Triller platform, was produced by Tyson’s Legends Only League along with Don Mischer Productions and Anchor Street Collective.
“I’m a proud advocate for cannabis legalization so this partnership with Weedmaps is particularly close to my heart,” stated Mike Tyson. “This is a significant moment for the cannabis industry, and I am committed to doing my part to fight for change.”
One of the biggest cultural moments of 2020 played out on Saturday night. The Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. boxing event from Los Angeles’ Staples Center spawned countless social media reactions and internet-breaking memes.
The most talked-about moment came when American YouTuber Jake Paul knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson in the second round. Longtime Paul-family adversary, Olajide “KSI” Olatunji, joined in as an armchair commentator by sharing his opinion of the fight on Twitter.
“I saw nothing special from Jake lol. Soon come,” tweeted KSI on Saturday night. That post has been liked by nearly 180,000 Twitter users and retweeted more than 8,000 times.
The British YouTube star/recording artist defeated Jake Paul’s brother and fellow YouTuber, Logan Paul, in an amateur boxing match back in 2018. A professional rematch took place the next year with KSI taking the victory again in a split decision.
Logan Paul fired back at KSI on Twitter. The older Paul quote-tweeted DAZN Boxing’s tweet about KSI’s statement. Logan added, “His eyesight worse than his music.” That tweet has garnered more than 51,000 likes.
Could KSI vs. Logan Paul III be in the works? Will KSI now turn his attention to boxing Jake Paul? Or perhaps the two multi-millionaires will meet up in a wrestling ring next time? Last year, KSI spoke to AllHipHop about potentially facing off against Jake and maybe stepping into the squared circle for WWE or AEW.
“I feel like YouTuber wise, there isn’t really anyone for me. Besides maybe Jake, but I think Jake needs to prove himself. That’s why I’m always telling people he needs to fight [AnEsonGib]. If he beats Gib, then, fine, he can fight me. Then it makes sense because then there’s hype. Right now, me fighting Jake, there’s no hype. It doesn’t make sense. Jake is worse than Logan, and I beat Logan. So why would I fight Jake? Jake needs to prove he’s better than Logan,” said KSI.
The Dissimulation album creator also stated, “I’m always open to doing WWE, AEW, or whatever organization there is. I’ve been a fan for years. Man, that’s my childhood. I used to watch Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Mick Foley/Mankind, The Undertaker, all these guys, Triple H. I’m a fan, so it would be a dream come true to fight in the WWE.”
Over the weekend, Lil Wayne took it back over a decade when he dropped the third installment of his No Ceilings mixtape series. The tape was hosted by DJ Khaled and included a Lamar Jackson-inspired track titled “Lamar.”
For “Lamar,” Wayne rapped over Jay-Z’s classic “Takeover” beat with the Young Money frontman recycling lines from the original 2001 song off The Blueprint. Khaled closed out “Lamar” by adding, “Be ready for I Am Not a Human Being III. The album coming 2021.”
The first I Am Not a Human Being came out in September of 2010. It was met with mixed reviews at the time. I Am Not a Human Being II followed three years later with even less favorable reactions from music critics.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances I won’t be performing tonight at the Tyson/Jones fight. Hope the event is still a success and much love to Triller. Love 🤙🏾

Megan Thee Stallion finally released her official debut studio LP. Good News arrived on November 20 with guest features from DaBaby, City Girls, SZA, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Beyoncé, and more.
Previously, Megan let loose the projects Tina Snow, Fever, and Suga. The latter two bodies of work made it into the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, but Good News has now become the southern rapper’s highest-charting effort.
Thee Stallion’s Good News amassed 100,500 total first-week units with a weekly-best 115.85 million on-demand streams. Those numbers were enough for the Texan to land at #2 on the latest Billboard 200 rankings.
“We just keep beating the odds hotties!! Doing everything they said we couldn’t!! Thank y’all so much for always supporting me and I promise to keep getting better for y’all. Thank you to everyone who was apart of creating this album!! Keep running up GOOD NEWS,” wrote Meg on Instagram.

Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon climbed one position to #4 ( 52,000 units). Future and Lil Uzi Vert’s Pluto x Baby Pluto dropped three spots to #5 (46,000 units).
Over the weekend, we saw Nate Robinson get washed by YouTuber Jake Paul. Jake Paul, is a boxer, rapper, gamer, and a bunch of other things, including Rich. He is somebody people love or hate. Either way, he walked away with a victory against the legendary basketball player. Nate Robinson has been largely silent since he took a loss against Jake.
But he is quiet no more! Nate Robinson is now talking and he is doing it wil tith some grace and class.I don’t think you have a lot of choices when you lose like that but he is making his best efforts. The Internet was ruthless to Nate over the weekend because he lost to a white guy in a YouTuber at that.I don’t think you have a lot of choice when you lose like that butI don’t think you have a lot of choice when you lose like that but he isI don’t think you have a lot of choice when you lose like that but he is making his best efforts.I don’t think you have a lot of choice when you lose like that but he is making his best efforts. The Internet was
Shout out to Nate Robinson. Most people wouldn’t dare get into the boxing ring and if they did they would certainly get washed in the exact same way that he did. The only thing is, Nate got paid a decent amount of money to get his butt beat. I think he’s going to have to learn to live with these Memes and also live in infamy now that he was knocked out cold in front of millions and millions and millions of people. I am not sure I would be able to take that regardless of how much money I got paid. Nonetheless, here is what he had to say and you can pass your own judgment on it.
Jake Paul may have inadvertently caused some problems for himself after he knocked out Nate Robinson last night in an embarrassing defeat for the NBA star.
Jake Paul and Nate Robinson were on the undercard of the Mike Tyson/Roy Jones Jr exhibition match, which took place last night (November 28th) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
While many people were disappointed with the results of the Tyson/Jones bout, which came to a draw, Jake Paul provided the highlight of the night when he pummeled Nate Robinson into unconsciousness with a vicious uppercut – followed by a devastating right hook.
Unfortunately, Nate Robinson continues to be brutalized by the internet, which remains undefeated – and relentless – in clowning him for getting knocked out in the second round – just as Jake Paul predicted during an interview with AllHipHop.com.
Celebrities like Chris Brown, Jim Jones, Timbaland, and Rick Ross clowned Nate for his stunning loss to the YouTuber.
Now, Jake Paul might be Hip-Hop’s favorite target and the man with the hands to beat.
“After Saturday, the stock of Jake Paul is going up, the price is going up and more people are obviously going to want to fight me because of the platform that I have,” Jake Paul told AllHipHop.com’s Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur during an exclusive interview.
He’s already got an offer from BlocBoy JB, who challenged the budding rapper to a fight after Nate’s disappointing showing.
“Jake Paul, you gotta see me. You gotta see me after that, I don’t like how you did my boy Nate,” BlocBoy JB said. On my mama, I’m the king n####. You want these (fists) come get these.”
BlocBoy JB may be no slouch with his hands, but Jake Paul has been taking his boxing and his rap careers very seriously.
Jake Paul told AllHipHop.com that he has been training to turn pro for about two years. In fact, Jake Paul has sparred hundreds of times, but he has never been knocked down, or knocked out.
“I’ve never gone to the canvas once in my boxing career ever, in sparring nothing, and I never will,” Jake Paul told AllHipHop.com. “It’s a mindset. I’ve knocked out a lot of sparring partners, knocked down a lot of sparring partners. I sparred like 80 times in the past year to develop myself in the ring. I’ve sparred against also high level pros who beat me in sparring. You can’t get better at the sport if you’re the best person in the room.”
It’s unclear who Jake Paul will fight next, but the odds are it will not be BlocBoy JB. In fact, BlocJB might want to consider withdrawing his challenge and instead of collaborating with Jake Paul, who dropped a new rap video called “Park South Freestyle” on Friday.
“Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK. I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight,” Nate Robinson said. “To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me…it wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been.”
https://www.instagram.com/p/CIKkBuWBsVm/
But first, Jake Paul has his sights set on his nemesis, and fellow rapper KSI, who fight Jake’s brother Logan twice, with both fights ending in draws. Jake is confident he will demolish KSI in the ring – and on the mic.
“I don’t compare KSI’s music and mine. He’s more of like a ‘Kids Bop’ rapper. He’s never done a song by himself because no one will listen to it. It’s just not good for KSI,” Jake Paul told AllHipHop.com. “I wouldn’t compare us on a musical level at all. I know a lot of people like to because obviously we have this rivalry. But it has different levels. His lyrics are average, his flows are the same every single time. He just sounds like a dying duck on the microphone.”
Just when you thought the world’s biggest rap snitch was gone, he’s back! Shout out to Tekashi 69! He has successfully done what nobody else has done and that is rat, but live to have a pretty successful rap career! The dude was recently making it rain in a Miami club just like Jeezy used to do! While he is throwing that funny money in the air, he seemed to be poking at boxer Gervonta Davis, who is a world-class champion. 69 was there with his girl and a small crew. Davis and he had some sort of interaction and then things escalated.
It was at this time that 69 started to “rain” on Davis with money, but in a seemingly aggressive way. Normally, that means you are about to get money! But not to a baller like Gervonta Davis! He already PAID, B. There’s not a lot to say, other than Davis addressed it on socials – kinda. He said, “Snitchk” on IG Stories.
I thought this was a Wolverine reference…you know “Snikt”…
But nahhhhhhh….It looks like “Snitch” with a typo. And then he said, “You get hit for just being around a mf… but who am I!” Not sure what that means, but I think he felt it was best to stay away. At any rate, 69 has not been active on social media and has not commented about the whole thing. This could be a sign! maybe he’s maturing or just laying low. either way, I think it is for the best that he chill and let thing run their course.
Atlanta rapper Young Thug is turning his rap career into a family business.
Over the weekend, Thugger’s 7-year-old daughter launched her own rap career Young Thug’s artist Gunna took to Instagram to promote two new songs by Mari Mego to 3.2 million people.
Mari Mego aka Mego YSL dropped two joints: “They Listen a Lot,” and “Do What I Can.”
Mego YSL, who already has 49,000 followers on IG, compares herself to Kobe Bryant on “They Listen A Lot,” and crowns herself the G.O.A.T on “Do What I Can.”
https://www.instagram.com/p/CAI8-wmghMT/
Mari Mego may only be 7-years-old, but she’s already proven that she has what it takes to make it in today’s Hip-Hop landscape.
And, with the backing of Young Thug she has a real shot at making it all the way to the top.
The pair were an item from 2018 until 2020, but according to Asian Doll, the happy couple broke up due to jealousy and the pressures of the music business.
And even though she’s been accused of clout chasing, Asian Doll, aka Queen Von, showed undying loyalty by getting a portrait of the late rapper’s face tattooed on her hand.
In a post this weekend, Asian Doll continued to show her admiration and affection for King Von by comparing him to the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
“Von you beat the odds you won the war & you became a LEGEND 🙏🏽 you was going 2PAC statues Fashoooooo since you been gone I’ve been seeing you everyday in my dreams if I speak yo name I get chills your literally living through me I feel you every sec I take a breath,” Asian Doll said.
“I hate all that b#### ass s### happened between us I hate them hoes came between us I hate we let the industry & them n##### brake [sic] us up 🥺 that s### breaks my heart into pieces I just wanted you to be the STAR I always knew you was I was yo rider or DIE b#### you kno that we was so powerful together you kno they hated that fasho who would have ever thought THE KING would get touched…Rap n##### acting like they sad knowing they happy cause you blew past all these b#### ass n#####!!!
Asian Doll’s comparison immediately drew some backlash, however, the internet trolls could not change her mind.

Eminem and his Marshall Mathers Foundation will start selling some limited-edition Carhartt merchandise to raise money for the Downtown Boxing Gym (DBG Detroit), a company that is working with young people impacted by the 2020 coronavirus.
DBG works in the following areas of need: tutoring, mentorship, enrichment programs, college and career prep, social-emotional skills building, and basic needs support like transportation, meals, and more.
According to a press release the organization is a “free academic and athletic program on Detroit’s east side that’s working around the clock to prevent students from falling behind during the pandemic.”
Why wouldn’t the “Rap God” and the Director of Community Engagement and Social Justice Initiatives at his foundation, Royce Da 5’9” do all they can to keep this worthy establishment afloat and thriving?
“I’ve experienced firsthand the discipline, commitment, and focus that boxing training instills in young people. I’m passionate about the sport, and I’m passionate about the role that DBG plays in our community,” Royce said. “We need to make sure the important work they do continues.”
Lil Baby did not make “The Bigger Picture,” a song about civil unrest because it was the popular thing to do, he did it because he, like millions of other Black people were hurting and wanted to give voice to his pain.
One of the first things that his critics claimed is that he was jumping on the bandwagon and riding the protest wave to the top of the charts.
The rapper is showing how that’s not true.
While the song was incredibly successful, it also was received as evidence of his next level of artistry.
More evidence that the native Atlanta emcee as a Black man is growing to the next level, is his decision to donate all of the proceeds that he made off the song to organizations that are set up to help the community.
“I got 1.5 million dollars to donate off of ‘Bigger Picture’ I want the money to go we’re [sic] it’s needed,” he tweeted.
I got 1.5 million dollars to donate off of “Bigger Picture “ I want the money to go we’re it’s needed.
And then he followed up with a clarification, “I don’t want to donate to just any organization but I will be letting my fans kno exactly we’re [sic] the money goes.”

Despite getting off to a bad start after rap star Lil Wayne canceled his performance during the Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. Pay-Per-View event, spectators were treated to a great night of boxing.
The Tyson-Jones fight was just as exciting as the rap stars who opened the PPV fight, which included an undercard featuring Jake Paul vs. Nate Robinson, Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan, and Viddal Riley vs. Rashad Coulter.
Mike Tyson, 54, shed 100 pounds for his first fight since 2005 when he shocked the world by refusing to come out of his corner during a fight against Kevin McBride. Roy Jones Jr., who weighed in at 210 pounds, last fought in February of 2018, when he beat Scott Sigmon by unanimous decision.
Tyson and Jones Roy Jones Jr. 51, were both impressive during their comeback, which lasted eight rounds and ended in a draw between the two icons.
Both boxers put on an exciting exhibition for the fight, which served as the launchpad for Tyson’s new Legends Only League, which will continue to promote fights between retired boxing pros.
The undercard may have had the best action of the night, after YouTube Jake Paul demolished Nate Robinson with a devastating uppercut and right cross, which knocked the NBA legend out cold for almost a minute.
Dr. Dre’s wife seems to be facing an uphill battle as she takes on the Aftermath founder in divorce court.
According to reports, Nicole Young was handed a loss by a judge presiding over her case, after a failed attempt to get the Los Angeles Superior court to sanction Dr. Dre for $100,000.
Nicole Young is forcing Dr. Dre into court for an in-person deposition, despite an outbreak of the coronavirus which has shut down most court proceedings.
While Nicole won her request to haul Dr. Dre into court, her bid to sanction him for refusing to turn over sensitive financial information has been squashed – for now.
The judge is allowing Nicole to access certain documents pertaining to the case, as the couple fight over an $850 million fortune.
