We’ve all been waiting for some new music from the bad gyal herself, Rihanna. Well, it looks like a new album is on the way.
R9 is coming y’all and it’s a reggae-influenced album. I’ve been hearing that it’s going to feature some of our favorite reggae artists.
I’ve also been hearing that these artists might have had to audition to be featured on this album. At least, that’s what I’m getting from Shaggy.
The Jamaican artist said he turned down the opportunity to be on her album because she wanted him to audition.
“They approached me for the Rihanna project, yeah. There’s a lot of great people involved but for me I didn’t need to audition to be on the record, I’ll leave that to younger guys. But from what I hear, it should be good,” he said.
He goes on to say, “It’s healthy competition. Dancehall is in good place but we need as many people to do this art form as possible. When it crosses over and becomes popular with artists from other genres and other cultures, that can only be good.”
The album is finished, but we’re still waiting on the release date. But knowing Rihanna, she’ll probably drop it out of no where.
What y’all think? Do you think Shaggy should have auditioned for Rih’s album?
(AllHipHop News) Cashout Ace is recovering although unfortunately, he still has a bullet is still lodged in his head.
The upcoming “Chibada” rapper was ambushed by gunfire when he was shooting a music video on December 3. Two people died and seven were injured.
The rapper’s dad spoke with Fox 26 about how his 21-year-old son suffered from gunshot wounds to the arm and head.

According to Guajardo, Cashout cannot speak and he has brain damage. He is improving slowly but he is likely to stay in the hospital for long.

As such, they have relocated in the wake of the shooting. According to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies, no arrest has been made.
In addition to Cashout Ace, his older brother Abel Guajardo, 22, was hit four times. Two other men shooting the video for the rapper were also killed in the deadly shooting.
(AllHipHop News) The lawyer who represented El Chapo is asking a judge to excuse him from defending Tekashi 69 former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan.
Shotti hired high-powered lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman to represent him in an appeal of his 15-year sentence for racketeering with Tekashi 69 and the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
Shotti pled guilty to one count of using and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence for an assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
After reviewing the case, Jeffrey Lichtman believes Shotti has no chance at winning an appeal, mainly because he signed a valid appeal waive which prohibits him from challenging the sentence.
“I respectfully submit that the record from the district court contains no reversible errors. To the contrary, the record reveals that Mr. Jordan knowingly, voluntarily and intelligently pled guilty to the charges,” Jeffrey Lichtman wrote to Judge Paul Engelmayer in an attempt to excuse himself from representing Shotti.
“Accordingly, I submit that there exists no non-frivolous issues on appeal. For these reasons, counsel should be permitted to withdraw,” argued Jeffrey Lichtman.
Fans were worried because any team or player that Drake supports supposedly ends up losing.
Ironically, now Clemson Tigers fans are worried as they may victim to the curse when they take on the LSU Tigers tonight (January 13th) during the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship at 8:00 p.m.
In May of 2019, Drake was spotted in a picture with Clemon’s head coach Dabo Swinney and now the picture is circulating on Twitter again.
Aye idk if y’all saw this lmao but drake was wit the head coach of Clemson 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ the curse is real 😂, so needless to say LSU n Joe Burrow bouta grab a W! Anyone wanna bet 💰 lmk 😂

Yung Joc might have fell on hard times but at least he’s trying to better himself.
The rapper and “Love and Hip Hop Star” was spotted driving for a ride sharing app PULLUPNGO and recorded by a passenger who joined his ride.
Joc is seen in the video wearing a hoodie to conceal his identity but he’s been around for a long time so we all know who he is. To top it off, he ends up taking it off to really show his face. The passenger asked Joc if he fell off which caught him and us by surprise.
In the video you can see the passenger repeatedly telling him he “fell off” and Joc calls her out saying she just wants to put this on her social media. Well, he was right.
This just goes to show that even when you’re on the top of your career, you can still fall off. And those reality tv checks just aren’t enough, at least for a person with real bills to pay.
(AllHipHop News) Damon Dash’s beloved film “The List” could end up under the control of another production company if the rap mogul doesn’t make a move soon.
The attorney is asking a judge to grant a default judgment and name a production company named Muddy Water Pictures the rightful owner of the disputed movie.
Christopher Brown has been representing Muddy Water Pictures and a filmmaker named Josh Webber in the nasty lawsuit.
Josh Webber says Damon was only chosen to direct the movie, but he was booted from the set because he showed up high and drunk, and caused all sorts of disorder during shoots.
Damon Dash has rejected the allegations and claims he owns 25% of the movie because he re-wrote the script and co-directed the film with Webber.
Now, Christopher Brown seems to be tired with the legal wrangling and he’s asking the judge overseeing the case to name the production company as the rightful owner of the film.
“Dash admits that Muddy does in fact own the film and has registered copyright,” attorney Christopher Brown said. “Dash claims he is a joint-author of the film via oral agreement with Muddy and other actions he contends he undertook which supports joint authorship. The facts do not support Dash’s argument, hence. Muddy is entitled to summary judgment as the sole author and own of the film.”
Brown also produced a text message Damon Dash sent to Josh Webber, where he allegedly confessed he was not interested in owning the film until he realized the movie could be a hit.
“Dash indicated to Webber in the text message that Dash did not believe he (Dash) owned the film at all until he realized the value of the film and informed Webber..’now I know what I can get for it,‘” Christopher Brown wrote to the court.
Damon Dash insists an oral agreement was made, in which Muddy Water Pictures made him a 25% owner in the movie, in perpetuity, in return for his celebrity attachment to movie.
But Muddy Water and Josh Webber state they never made an oral contract with Damon Dash for any type of ownership in the film.
Christopher Brown is asking the court to grant Muddy summary judgment and name the company as the owner and author of the film “The List” aka “Dear Frank.”
