This is a stan’s paradise! If Jay-Z and Beyonce tour together, we will see the whole entertainment world explodes. Beyonce has people hanging from the rafters at her venues. She is killing it out there. And Jay-Z just announced his own tour and he kicks off at Yankee stadium this week. But, here you go with what Jay has to say about it.
“It’s always floating out there, it’s floating out there. It has to be the real thing and it’s slowly making sense, more sense every day, every day it’s making more sense – as far as a tour, not an album.”
Notice that he also shot down my rumor, where I was told there maybe a duet album. Well, that’ll be cool. I think an album would be too corny anyway.

I thought Yelawolf was a happy man with a cute kid and a wife somewhere in the stash. But it seems that ‘s still kind of true. Something like this:
But, things have changed and apparently he’s departed the married relationship that created the beautiful young lady above.
He’s now engaged to be married to FeFe Dobson, the singer from Canada. The pair are more in line with other entertainment entities that are pushing and shoving their way to the top.
You see the side of his head?
But, that’s not quite FeFe and Johnny Cash.
Anyway, after further review, it has been made apparent that FeFe and Yelawolf is not very new, but this engagement is. Dude, if you get somebody’s name or likeness tatted on your skull, its pretty serious. But, why would he have Johnny hugging all up on her. Congrats!!! And, uh, Good Luck!
Apparently, this is his ex-wife and there are two other kids.

(AllHipHop News) Now when rap fans are in a heated debate about which emcee is the greatest lyricist of all time they will have mathematical information to back up their claims. Harvard University’s WEB Du Bois Hip Hop Archive Institute Fellow and rap music follower Tahir Hemphill wanted to find a scientific way to measure the educational level of Hip Hop lyrics. The result was the creation of “Hip Hop Word Count” an online searchable database with over 40,000 Hip Hop songs from 1979 to present day.
Hip Hop Word Count allows Hemphill to calculate data like word count, average syllables per word, average letters per syllable, longest polysyllabic word, and educational level needed to grasp the meaning of a song’s lyrics. It also takes into account artistic cleverness such as use of similes, metaphors, cultural references, and rhyme patterns when tallying its final number on a scale between 0 (illiterate) to 20 (post-graduate degree).
The program can also find out when a particular word or phrase first appeared in a rap song and how many times it has been mentioned since. For example, the total count a particular brand of champagne has been rapped about.
Hemphill says the program demonstrates the dumbing down of lyrics in commercial Hip Hop over the years, and he maintains the growing misogyny in Hip Hop is a result of the greater American culture it represents.
“Hip-Hop is always villainized, but people have to understand that Hip Hop is a reflection of American culture, probably in one of its most distilled and pure forms,” says Hemphill.

(AllHipHop News) Over 20 years ago Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams founded the independent record label Cash Money Records in New Orleans. What started as just a regional outfit shocked the music industry when Cash Money signed a reported $30 million production and distribution deal with Universal Music Group in 1998 that gave the company complete ownership of its master recordings.
YMCMB eventually grew to become one of the most successful Hip Hop labels in history. With artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Juvenile, DJ Khaled, and The Hot Boys, Cash Money has sold over 90 million albums.
It is that impressive resume that led Broadcast Music, Inc to honor Birdman and Slim as 2013 recipients of the Icon Award at this year’s BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. The annual event, formerly known as the BMI Urban Awards, celebrates songwriters, producers, and music publishers who made an impact in music the previous year.
“Bryan and Ronald Williams’ creative and entrepreneurial acumen has resulted in over 20 years of global success for them personally, and for their enterprise, Cash Money Records,” said BMI Vice President Catherine Brewton in a statement. “I’m personally thrilled to recognize two individuals I’ve seen achieve so much success in their careers. Their innate ability to cultivate talent, build and sustain a brand while composing chart-topping songs is an accomplishment worthy of the Icon designation.”
The event will be held Thursday, August 22 at the Manhattan Center in New York City. Brewton, BMI President and CEO Del Bryant, and R&B singer Ray J will serve as hosts for the evening. The awards will also stage an all-star musical tribute to Slim and Birdman.
“It’s absolutely incredible to be honored in this fashion. Cash Money Records is a family first and foremost, and we share this achievement with our entire team and roster,” said Birdman. “We also want to thank BMI and everybody who’s ever believed in this dream that my brother and I first had over 20 years ago. We’re going to keep everything going even stronger for the next 20.”
Previous winners of the Icon Award include Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, and The Jacksons.
(AllHipHop News) The late J. Dilla’s record and tape cassette collection became one of the most sought after musical items in recent history. The Detroit producer was the man behind the boards for classic tracks like De La Soul’s “Stakes Is High,” Common’s “The Light,” and Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know?” so other artists, music fans, and record executives all wanted access to a lasting piece of Jay Dee’s legacy.
UHF Records store’s co-owner Jeff Bubeck happened to discover a box of records and tapes in a storage locker, Googled the name “James Yancey” that was on some mail, and realized he stumbled upon the collection of a Hip Hop legend. Eventually, Bubeck connected with Dilla’s mother, Maureen Yancey, and Ma Dukes was able to take some of Dilla’s unreleased music found on cassettes to create what became The Lost Scrolls.
Snap Judgement interviewed Bubeck and Ms. Yancey for a compelling audio documentary about what Ma Dukes calls finding the “ark of the covenant.”

The truth of the matter is, Justice is not justice in America. There are lawyers, judges, juries and courts, but justice is a another animal altogether. The case of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin will forever perplex many, particularly when you contextualize it with other situations. Take Marissa Alexander for example.
F**k the jury, the prosecution and the state of Florida.
(AllHipHop News) Much has been made of Jay-Z’s million albums pre-sold to Samsung, but his first week sales impressive.
Jay pushed 528,208 units of his Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Ciara made a strong showing amid all the #MCGH promotion moving 57,515.
J. Cole and Kanye West sold 38,718 and 28,701 respectively. Wale had a 45% dip with The Gifted after debuting at number 1 when it debuted June 25.
Jay-Z has continued to generate discussion with his Samsung deal. He’s already moved a million units, which was recognized by the RIAA with a platinum plaque. Billboard magazine said it would only recognize individual units.
DatPiff presents the debut mixtape from Zone 6 , Decatur, GA native Runway Richy . The project, titled “Uh-Oh!,” is hosted by DJ Holiday and presented by The Commission, Defient Ent. & Beer and Tacos. Runway Richy tapped Trae Tha Truth and Childish Major to create “Last Of A Dying Breed,” one of Richy’s favorite records to date. Other features include, B.o.B, Scotty ATL, SPOT and Playboy Tre.
LL is not a Jay-Z fan. Not at least like some of us. He’s got some stuff to say about the instant million that Jay-Z brokered through his deal with Samsung. Basically, he’s saying to him personally it matters that a million humans bought his music, not a company. Peep the quotes or watch the video from Diddy’s REVOLT TV.
“Numbers are Numbers. In the numbers is truth, but in terms of touching the people it’s a little different. For me as an artist I still want to be able to touch the people individually.”
“It still matters to me that people individually went out and bought my record. Although I still think a million sold is a million sold, but for me I like to know that a million PEOPLE bought my record, not a company bought a million copies of my record.”
In his new video, “Picasso Baby,” Jay really did reach out an touch the people. I’m just saying.
Nevertheless, LL’s new album, Authentic is just as good as Jay-Z’s in my opinion. Jay just has a better team pushing his project. LL also rocked half of America with the Kings of the Mic tour, so lets not just call him a hater. SEE ALSO: Why is the Kings Of The Mic Tour Important to Hip-Hop?
