Woman Claims Meek Mill Purchased Nicki Minaj’s Ring From Her Grandma

Photo via Meek Mill’s Instagram

As Nicki Minaj is loving her newly gifted diamond ring from her boo Meek Mill, a woman by the name of Natalia Chavez took to Twitter to say Meek Mill bought the ring for $100,000 from her grandma. Meek Mill’s jewelers (@ShyneJewelers) said Meek actually paid a lot more, and he purchased the ring from them not the woman’s grandma. Although we are sure the woman is probably lying, we could see Meek getting a ring from somewhere for a “good deal.” Famelous caught a few screenshots of the woman’s tweets before they were deleted. She just wanted some attention.

Does Chief Keef Have Another Child On The Way?

Photo via Chief Keef’s Instagram

Yet another woman is claiming she is pregnant by Chief Keef. Allegedly Chief told her to keep the baby. One of his baby mamas was upset earlier this year because Chief was flashing money on Instagram, but he wouldn’t pay his child support. When Chief announced the birth of his son (a few months back) who he called “The White Sosa,” his lawyers claimed that the child may not be his, and they believed Keef is a target for women looking to come up. We believe Keef doesn’t like to use condoms.

Erica Mena Claims Bow Wow Is Abusive To Women

Photo via Bow Wow’s Instagram

Bow Wow and Erica Mena’s break up has been nothing short of messy, and Bow Wow has been spotted with his baby mama Joie Chavis more and more. Joie claims it’s just a case of good co-parenting, but it seems like Bow wants that old thing back. Erica has not only claimed that Bow Wow is posting a lot of social media posts with Joie in them to mess with both of them; she’s also alleging that Bow Wow is abusive to his baby mama and women in general. We hope that Lil’ Bow Wow is not putting his paws on women. Chavis denied these claims. Mena also says she has a picture that could change Bow Wow’s life. Word on the street that the photo may be of bruises she sustained during her own alleged abuse at the hands of Bow. Erica said,

“Now he can go back to beating her ass again. I’m good on dealing with his little man complex.”

This is getting ugly.

Chicago Rappers Twista And Rhymefest Diss Spike Lee’s Controversial ‘Chi-Raq’ Film

After upsetting a host of Chicago rappers like Twista, Rhymefest, Kanye West, Common, Chance the Rapper, Spike Lee’s movie Chiraq hit theaters recently with a boatload of controversy.

One of the reasons that some people don’t like the film, is that the film is a stinging satire, making jokes about the violence in Chicago and objectifying women. In addition, the film includes dialogue from Nick Cannon that does not accurately reflect the slang and ways that people in Chicago speak.

Twista believes that Spike has even re-invigorated the notions of a “Chiraq” with Chicago youth, which is something that took years to break down. Take a listen and hear Rhymefest go off on Spike Lee and his 40 Acres and Mule production.

Wu-Tang Clan & Bill Murray Having The Right To Steal Secret Album Is A Hoax

(AllHipHop News) It is true the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album spearheaded by RZA has been purchased. However, it is not true the legendary group or a certain celebrity has the legal right to steal the project from Turing Pharmaceuticals head Martin Shkreli.

Many media outlets were dupped into running articles claiming there was a “Bill Murray Clause” in the contract which allowed the Groundhog Day actor or Wu members to take back Shaolin in a heist. Newsweek points out the original “source” for the story was a tweet from a Twitter user that goes by Rob Wesley (@eastwes), but the person in question did not provide a credible source for the information.

That one tweet started a barrage of news coverage which presented the clause as fact. This is not the first time the Internet has tricked people into believing a fake story. Over the last several years artists such as DMX, Kanye West, Jay Z, and Bobby Shmurda have been the subject of bogus news items circulated around the web as the truth.

RZA seemed to find the humor in the entire ordeal. The music producer/film director posted a tweet last night that read, “We’re really getting the urge to call Bill Murray.”

Nicki Minaj Reportedly Did Not Bail Out Her Brother Arrested For Raping Child

(AllHipHop News) After news broke that Nicki Minaj’s 37-year-old brother Jelani Maraj was arrested in New York for raping a 12-year-old child, reports began to circulate that the superstar rapper put up bail money for her older sibling. According to Bossip, Nicki was not the person that offered funds for Jelani’s release.

The site reports:

Court papers obtained by BOSSIP show that it was their mother, Carol, who put up her Baldwin, N.Y. home along with two $50,000 [promissory] notes. A judge signed an order of protection, and Maraj must stay at least 100 yards away from the alleged victim and surrender any weapons.

Page Six previously reported the house Carol Maraj was living in was actually purchased by Nicki, and the Queens native bought a separate home that her brother used as his residence as well. The Pinkprint album creator has yet to comment publicly about Jelani Maraj’s charges or bail situation.

Rick Ross Speaks On Wale & Omarion Getting Snubbed By The Grammys (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The nominations for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards were announced this week, and some performers were not pleased they did not see their name among the lists of trophy hopefuls. Two of those artists are Maybach Music Group representatives Wale and Omarion. MMG’s head honcho Rick Ross sat down with Power 106 to talk about his team getting snubbed.

“I’m not looking for the Grammys. I’m not even tripping on that,” said Ross. “We all know one thing about Wale. Wale is one of the greatest artists, greatest songwriters. His track record is impeccable, and his music speaks for itself.”

Omarion was more vocal about his disappointment than Wale. The former B2K member sent out a series of tweets claiming his song “Post To Be” with Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko was one of the greatest R&B collaborations of all time.

Twitter users did not agree with O, and he was hit with a torrent of backlash on the social media site. However, Rozay is backing up Omarion’s suggestion about his hit single.

“That ‘Post To Be’ is one of the biggest records. That Omarion platinum plaque is so beautiful on our wall, so don’t sleep on the homie. When you’re a true competitor, and that’s what your goal is then you just know how to come next year,” added Ross. “I know an artist like Omarion. He’s been acknowledged on these levels before.”

Rhymefest To Spike Lee: Support Chicago Filmmakers Or Don’t Come Back To The City (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Chicago’s Rhymefest has been one of the most outspoken critics of Spike Lee’s latest movie Chi-Raq. The Hip Hop artist/activist accused the director of preying on the pain of his hometown for financial gain.

[ALSO READ: Spike Lee Rants About “Haters” Claiming ‘Chi-Raq’ Exploits Chicago Violence (VIDEO)]

Lee fired back against his “haters” in a recent interview saying, “People talking that sh*t, they don’t know what the f*ck they’re talking about. This film, in no way, shape, or form, makes fun of anybody that got killed. This film was made to save lives, and all this other sh*t people are talking about is a distraction.”

Rhymefest has once again taken Lee and his motion picture to task. He appeared on Sway In The Morning and addressed Spike’s on-air rant.

“When Spike Lee don’t have a good argument he gets loud,” said Rhymefest. “Spike Lee ain’t no tough guy. So he needs to stop acting like he’s a tough guy before he come back to Chicago and really figure it out.”

Rhymefest then claimed many of the local people featured in Chi-Raq are not happy about the movie, and he suggested Jennifer Hudson was tricked to be in the picture.

The Oscar-winning songwriter also pointed out Chicago natives Kanye West, Common, and Chance The Rapper declined to be in the film. Rhymefest now calls on Lee to do more for the citizens of the city or he is not welcomed back.

“Spike needs to sit down and have a conversation with some people that are really doing work in Chicago instead of just talking sh*t he don’t no about,” stated Rhymefest. “Spike needs to give $100,000 to a program for film development for shorties in Chicago to tell their own story. That’s a challenge that’s issued to him, or just don’t come back to Chicago.”

While Chi-Raq is based in Chicago, Lee has maintained the satirical storyline could fit a number of cities across the country. But Rhymefest had an issue with the idea of tragedy and violence being presented as humor.

“Would you make a satire about 9-11? What you make a satire about the Paris attacks? Would you make a satire about San Bernardino?” asked Rhymefest. “If anybody other than a black face made this film – would we be saying, ‘Man, that sh*t’s racist’? You wouldn’t want Tarantino to do this type of film. Why does Spike get a pass?”

Kendrick Lamar Responds To President Obama Praising “How Much A Dollar Cost” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar got one of the biggest cosigns possible when President Barack Obama named “How Much A Dollar Cost” featuring James Fauntleroy and Ronald Isley as his favorite song of 2015. TMZ caught up with K. Dot to ask the Compton representative for his thoughts on the Commander-In-Chief praising his To Pimp A Butterfly cut.

“That’s great,” replied Kendrick.

The cameraman then asked the Grammy winning emcee a question connected to the message of his track. “How Much A Dollar Cost” centers around the story of a person refusing to give money to a homeless man. That homeless man turned out to be God testing the protagonist for a chance to get into heaven.

Kendrick told the photog, “Help as many people as you can. You won’t live forever.”

TBT Classics: Sean Price’s Experiences Some Serious Heat On “Heartburn”

As the year comes to an end, this is a special #TBTclassic. “Heartburn” is probably my favorite song by Sean Price. The song is just too, too real and the production by 9th Wonder just took it to a whole ‘nother level. The song appears on the seminal album Monkey Barz, Sean Price’s first solo album since killing it as half of Heltah Skeltah. RIP P!

In Memoriam: Artists We Lost in 2015

As the year comes to a close, it is important to recognize and acknowledge the artists that we lost over the past 365 days.  Even though they are gone, because of their music and contributions to popular culture, they will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace.

Here (in alphabetical order) are a list of notable music figures that passed away in 2015.  AllHipHop.com sends our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and fans of all those that are no longer here.

ASAP Yams: He was an integral part in ASAP Mob’s rise to stardom, but in March, at the age of only 26, he passed away as a result of drug intoxication.

Errol Brown: The 1975 classic “You Sexy Thing” is a record by the funk band Hot Chocolate.  Errol Brown was the lead singer of the group and he died in May at his home in the Bahamas from liver cancer.

Chinx: He was a signee of French Montana’s Coke Boys label.  But after getting shot, he died from his wounds on May 17.

Andraé Crouch: After suffering a heart attack in January, the man who is widely regarded as the “Father of Modern Gospel Music” died.  In addition to gospel, he also collaborated with other notable music legends such as Elton John, Quincy Jones, and Stevie Wonder.

Dex Osama: The Detroit rapper was growing in popularity and had even received co-signs from the likes of Meek Mill and Dej Loaf.  Unfortunately, he was shot and killed outside a gentlemen’s club in the Motor City in September.

DJ AJ: He was the DJ for Kurtis Blow and Busy Bee.  And Kurtis even gave him props in the 1984 record, “AJ Scratch.”  He passed away in September from an undisclosed illness.

Wendell Holmes: As one half of gospel duo The Holmes brothers, he and his brother Sherman released upwards of 10 albums. Wendell’s cause of death earlier this year was bladder cancer.

Hussein Fatal: He is most notable for his work with 2Pac and his contributions as a member of The Outlaws.  He passed away on July 10 after being involved in a car accident in Georgia.

The Jacka: In his lifetime, the Left Coast rhymer released over 13 LPs (and that’s just as a solo artist, not counting his work with Mob Figuz).  Sadly, he was fatally shot in Oakland in February.

B.B. King: At the age of 89, blues legend B.B. King died in Nevada this past May.  The iconic guitar player’s impact can’t be overstated.  Therefore, it’s no surprise that he is often referred to as the “King of Blues.”

Koopsta Knicca: Koopsta was best known as a member of Three Six Mafia.  Additionally though, he did drop a notable solo project called Da Devil’s Playground.  After suffering from a brain aneurysm and stroke, he was placed on life support.  After the life support was removed, he died on October 9th.

Charmayne Maxwell: As a result of an accident in her home in March, this member of the Grammy-Award nominated R&B group Brownstone died.  The group is most notable for hits such as “Pass the Lovin’” and “If You Love Me.”

Sean Price: Price not only made an impact as a member of the Boot Camp Clik and half of Heltah Skeltah, his solo efforts also made him a true force to be reckoned with in the Hip-Hop community.  Tragically, just days before the release of his Songs in the Key of Price album, he died in his sleep.

Pumpkinhead: While receiving surgery on June 9, the “Dynamic” rapper from Brooklyn died.

Percy Sledge: The “When a Man Loves a Woman” singer passed away at the age of 73 in May.

50 Cent Continues To Go At Rick Ross Over Black Market Sales

Rick Ross is expected to sell a few thousand copies of his new album, Black Market. Those numbers are not final yet, but they are generally on point when they come down. 50 Cent is Rick Ross’ biggest fan and he claims that Rick Ross and Def Jam had to purchase some of the copies to get him to that level.

““Is that a rock or a brick? Thirty-four thousand, three-hundred, and eighty-eight copies, and you know they went and bought some. He had to buy some. Anybody would have panicked.”

G Eazy actually moved more units according to those early projections. I don’t really know what the deal is with these accusations and I can’t really see what prompted 50 to say it.

Future Laces “Dog Food” Hook For Ralo

These days just about anything that Future touches turns to gold, but in this case he turns the track to “Dog Food” for Famerica Entertainment rapper Ralo. From numbers to laundry, Ralo slangs the street verbs over a Yoksta produced beat. You can peep the stream and download via Audiomack. If you aren’t familiar with Ralo, the homie is from Tha Bluff and has a host of songs with Future and Scooter. He’s tied in so we are gonna give this one a spin.

New Legal Woes Haunt Meek Mill, Facing Jail Time

Meek Mill faces a new legal quandary and he is asking for prayers from the community.

Is Drake Trying To Use Some Of Love & Hip Hop’s Cardi B’s Services?

It looks like we just might have our next Superhead and Kat Stacks in Love & Hip Hop New York’s Cardi B. Cardi has no chill. She took to her Instagram to let it be known that women may be better than her at some things, but when it comes to oral sex, hands down, she’s the best. Drake may be a little interested in seeing what that’s like as he got caught double-tapping. Drake has been known to “mess” with some strippers, Instagram-models, and everything else under the sun, so who knows if he’ll find out. Don’t do it Drizzy; do NOT!
