Damnit man! Oh, wait. I wasn’t anxiously awaiting that new Cruel Winter album or the Cruel Summer 2 jawn to begin with. So, that’s cool with me that Pusha-T has made an un-startling revelation to Power 88. There won’t be any new G.O.O.D. compilation. And why should there? They have all these solo albums coming.
“Nah man, we’re not doing the Cruel Winter album or the Cruel Summer sequel. There’s too many projects going on. Like I said, you got the Yeezus album, you got Hall of Fame from Big Sean, you got my album, My Name Is My Name, you got 2 Chainz project, like, once we get all that situated, then I’m sure [it might happen]. I mean, you even got Common coming. At this time, right now, we’re not working on no compilations, man.”
Sucks though. Why? He chopped CyHi The Prynce’s legs from under him. CyHi said they WERE working on a new one and that the deal was being negotiated. Wow. Hopefully, he gets on the schedule.
But look…Kanye is smiling so maybe they should do it.

I heard a rumor!
Trina and French Montana have been pretty quiet as of late, but guess who hit me with this one? Sydney Lace! HAHAHA! How’s that for a blast from the past. A lot of people hated on Ms. Lace, but we’re still cool! Maybe I’ll bring her back since I am looking for a new assistant. But, I depress, I mean digress. I’m hearing that French and Trina may be creeping about the city of Miami again.
A few days ago, over the weekend, French was at a big time party by Hennessy V.S- in New Orleans. And well, French, Bun B and R&B singer Glenn Lewis were the main people there. But, in the cut was Trina. When has Trina ever been low key? She didn’t even take a picture! My sources…oh…my bad…Sydney Lace told me that she was with French but avoiding the cameras.
Here are some pics.

(AllHipHop News) “Everything evolves. I’m just glad that this part of town is evolving for the better,” says Harlemite Vinny Cha$e. The young emcee recently gave Life+Times a tour of his New York City neighborhood.
Vinny points out how urban gentrification has created a “New Harlem” with numerous upscale housing complexes and big chain stores spouting up. Harlem’s transformation undoubtedly has an effect on local businesses, but Cha$e believes the long-standing native establishments will survive the wave of corporate influx.
“Of course you’re gonna lose homegrown things, maybe some mom-and-pop things,” acknowledges Vinny. “A lot of these things have been here for so long and they’re so connected within the city that they won’t go anywhere.”
Vinny also gives his opinion about the “Harlem Shake” internet dance meme and explains the concept behind his Cheers Club crew.

(AllHipHop News) While Billboard refused to accept Jay-Z’s “new rules” and count Samsung’s 1 million free downloads as part of Magna Carta Holy Grail‘s first week sales numbers, the magazine is reporting that the album will still push enough units to claim the top spot on its album chart.

As of now Magna Carta is predicted to push 350,000 – 400,000 copies in the week ending July 14. That debut would be the second highest of the year behind his “Holy Grail” collaborator Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience which opened with 968,000 copies sold first week. It would be ahead of the next two top opening weeks, Kanye West’s Yeezus (327,000) and Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories (339,000).

This sales range will also guarantee the Brooklyn legend scores his 13th number one album on the Billboard 200. Only The Beatles’ 19 chart-toppers bests Jay’s total.
Magna Carta Holy Grail will be the fourth consecutive Hip Hop album to lead the album chart. All four LP’s were created by artists associated with Roc-A-Fella/Roc Nation. Yeezus debuted at number one followed the next week by The Gifted by Wale of Roc Nation management. J. Cole’s Born Sinner is expected to rise to the top spot this week after sitting at #2 the two previous weeks.

Somebody at Universal Music Group IS IN TROUBLE! The rough version of Kanye’s “Black Skinhead” video was hosted on a UMG dev site, and somebody got busy and ripped it.
