Comedian and box office titan Martin Lawrence says that the now notorious Will Smith slap at the Oscars will not stop the two from starring in the highly anticipated “Bad Boys 4” movie.
Martin also said the franchise had been one of the most pivotal associations of his life. While thinking about the 1995 movie that started it all, he said, “It was big.”
“For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office – that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge]… I didn’t go to college, so I felt TV was my college years,” Martin Lawrence said in Ebony magazine’s July issue. “I felt with movies, I had graduated; it was just different.”
But what is not different is his relationship with his friend and co-star, Will Smith.
Will Smith has been ridiculed over the last few months after striking comedian Chris Rock during the live broadcast of the Academy Awards, the first to be produced by a Black man, Will Packer.
Still, Martin Lawrence has his boy’s back, saying there will be another “Bad Boys” film. Ebony quoted the comedian confirming, “We got one more at least.”
The “Bad Boys” franchise of movies is big business. “Bad Boys” made $141 million worldwide at the box office when it was released in 1995.
The sequel, “Bad Boys II,” earned $242 million when released in July of 2003.
And the third installment, “Bad Boys For Life,” raked in almost $430 million in global ticket sales.
Los Angeles has always left their mark on the music scene, home to some of the greatest musicians across all genres.
And while most will think of rap or hip-hop when they hear South Los Angeles, August08 is here to bring a breath of fresh air, boasting a euphonious voice that translates into his unique sound and lane.
A rare find overall, August08 was adopted into the 88Rising family, a story which blows his mind to this day. During a session with Pharrell and Rich Brian, August08 found himself playing music for 88Rising founder Sean Miyashiro, who immediately signed him on the spot after hearing his music.
The tradeoff? Being able to be his own recording artist while songwriting for all the greats on the label.
Fast forward to today, August08 is excited as ever to be releasing his new project titled Towards The Sun, with the second installment Towards The Moon arriving shortly after via Def Jam. The former features an all-star guest appearance from TDE’s own ScHoolboy Q.
AllHipHop caught up with August08 in downtown Los Angeles to discuss his roots, selling Kendrick beats back in the day, the moment he fell in love with hip-hop, finding his voice, his new projects, studio essentials, goals, and more!
AllHipHop: Being from South LA, could you paint that picture of the household growing up?
August08: The household growing up was my mom, my two sisters and my dad when I was super super young. We lived in Compton with my grandmother for a while before my dad started getting some bread. It was a normal black family, in the hood.
AllHipHop: You mentioned Compton, how does it see someone like Kendrick get mainstream attention?
August08: I always say I’m from LA because it makes it hard for people to understand. I don’t want to keep having to break it down. But seeing Kendrick, I used to make beats for Kendrick when I was 15 or 16 years old. He used to buy beats from me back in the day.
AllHipHop: So you started as a producer?
August08: I started as a producer. That happened because of this kid named Get It, I don’t know how he was connected to Kendrick at the time. But Kendrick wasn’t hot yet, so that s### don’t count.
It’s because I was a jerk producer. I used to make jerk beats.
AllHipHop: That s### was poppin’!
August08: Yes it was. I never worked with Kedrick in the studio, we literally used to send beats and he used to give us $50. [laughs]
AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with hip-hop? Do you remember that moment?
August08: I fell in love with hip hop because of Kid Cudi. Kid Cudi is still one of my favorite rappers of all time, one of my favorite introverts of all time. The first song I fell in love with is “Open Your Eyes,” by Dwele and Common. That was my first song that I actually looked up on my own as a person. As a kid, that was the first song I ever looked up. Channel Tres is my best friend growing up, that’s my family. He sent that to me on MySpace. That was my favorite song, the first artist I ever looked up and looked into.
AllHipHop: When did you decide you wanted to start producing?
August08: That happened a little after that. My cousins and them had a studio at the crib. They were making beats, so I started making beats with them. Reako who I still work with to this day, he was making beats at the crib. I said “f### it, I’ma do it too.” I stayed the summer with him because my mom thought I wasn’t tough enough, so she sent me over there. Even though he was from the hood. I don’t understand the double down of being from the hood and sending me to even more hooder than the hood. It’s the hood! [laughs]
AllHipHop: Were you getting in trouble as a kid? Were you in the streets at all?
August08: My street activity didn’t start until I was 17, but I didn’t even care about the streets.
AllHipHop: Do you like sports? Video games?
August08: I like football and baseball. I never was a video game fan, but I be playing video games as of late. I’d be playing this farming game that’s on Xbox Game Pass. I got an Xbox X now because I’m bougie. A n*gga got some money now, so I’ll be playing the most childish game we could find on that m###########. Farming.
AllHipHop: I was just interviewing someone about growing up in the hood, they said sports was the only way you think you can make it out.
August08: Hell yeah. Yes! Then I realized I wasn’t that tall like I thought I was. I’ve always been somebody who had confidence. I’ve always been a confident person naturally, so I always thought I was the one of the biggest n*ggas in the room all my life.
So playing sports, I was out there killing. I was on the defensive line getting two sacks a game. But then when we play the better schools, I realized “oh s###, n*gga you small.” I’m 5’11”, I’m not that tall. I’m not that big of a guy. I quit 11th grade, because I wanted to make music. That’s the reason I quit. I told my coach, he saw me from across the campus like “n*gga where you been at?!” Because our coach, Coach Mark, was a known gang member. He was a reformed OG kind of guy. Coach Mark used to beat our ass. “You better come to f###### practice!” And I didn’t come to practice. I never went back. [laughs]
AllHipHop: When did you start recording yourself? Finding your voice, your tune?
August08: I think we started recording at 16, with this songwriter named Watr. He writes a lot with Eric Bellinger. We went to high school together. He heard that I could sing. Well, it’s because I went to continuation school. I got kicked out of regular high school, got sent to continuation school and I met him there.
AllHipHop: What’d you get kicked out for?
August08: Bad grads, I had all F’s, and fighting. I went to continuation school, Channel was there. Aloe (Watr) was there. Somebody else that’s poppin’ was there, it was a skateboarder. He went to school with us. We all went to this continuation school and it was f###### turnt. Fun as hell. The whole hood was there, it was turnt. Aloe found out I could sing, so I went to his grandmother’s house and started recording. He had a studio, the first song I ever recorded was Drake’s “Houstantlantavegas.” On everything.
AllHipHop: No way, you did a cover?
August08: Me and him did a cover. I sung the chorus and he rapped. Straight up, I wish I could find that s###.
AllHipHop: Was there a moment that you felt like you got a buzz? You got your first little success?
August08: Back then, I had this song called “Ready To Love.” It was poppin’. It was a jerk beat with me singing over it, it was in all the parties back then. You remember what songs used to buzz and it just be in the hood or one little area? My song was going up in the hood. I used to go around this group called Scale Ten? I used to sing the songs I have on them and I used to sing my song “Ready To Love.”
It was $50. They used to have these things called Quickie and Club Splash, little things that YG and them homies used to throw. Pusharod used to throw these big events, we’re performing at them for like $50.
AllHipHop: $50? That was a lot back then!
August08: $25, $50, $75.
AllHipHop: I was listening to Towards The Sun, you get deep on this project!
August08: I touched my soul a little bit. I named it Towards The Sun because it’s a part of a 3-project series: Towards The Sun, Towards The Moon, and Seasick as a whole is about basically taking that leap of faith and jumpin — I’m scared of boats, so going on to that boat and attacking all those fears. Towards The Sun is the looking up moment and the introduction to those emotions. It’s me opening up myself. Towards The Moon gets a little darker. I’m loving how Towards The Sun is being received for real.
AllHipHop: I was listening to the intro track, you say “all this drama in my life, I’m falling towards the sun.” What were you going through recording this record?
August08: The pandemic. [laughs] F###### with girls I didn’t like. I was doing things I shouldn’t have been doing during the pandemic, honestly. Being in the house for real. Being single at the time and being alone, the pandemic hit very different. That’s a whole different beast when you’re by yourself. I was just in the house making s###. I produced that record and some of my homies produced it afterwards. I created that whole Nirvana sound myself. It came out sad as hell and I love it. [laughs]
AllHipHop: Do you usually produce your own music or not?
August08: I do a lot of startup, I start a lot of my own ideas.
AllHipHop: How’d you end up linking with ScHoolboy Q on “Cutlass”?
August08: That happened because of Keem and Moosa at TDE. Shout out to both of them, they’re my dawgs. Keem’s a good dude. They had me writing for them. I met with — there’s this guy from the Bay, I cannot think of his name right now. But he introduced me to Moosa. When I met Moosa, Moosa said “yo, come around. Come tap in with us, see what’s poppin’.” I was working out at the Universal studio, this is before I even signed to Def Jam.
Just catching vibes, they said “I want you to pull up on Q.” Pulled up on Q, we made a whole bunch of ideas. We made 6 ideas in one night. We built a cool relationship, so I kept going back over there. Kept going back over there. Once I got signed, me and Terrace Martin had done a record.
August08: Terrace is a legend. I asked Q, he said “hell yeah.” Did it on the spot, for the love. I think I built a good rapport with those guys.
AllHipHop: You made it specifically for him?
August08: I didn’t make it for him, but he was the perfect person to put on it. And Terrace strongly said “n*gga, we gotta get Q on this for sure.” S### was hard as a m###########. Q hard though, Q hard as a m###########.
AllHipHop: And he’s funny as f###. How are those sessions with him?
August08: The sessions with Q is literally him just catching a vibe, with a f###### golf club in his hand. He has this vintage microphone that he freestyles on. Every time I’ve worked with him, I see him in real time creating s###. Hearing him create it to hearing the final product is like h########. Q is f###### tight.
AllHipHop: I also love “500 Days.” The video’s almost at 2 million views on YouTube, did you anticipate that?
August08: I didn’t. I didn’t anticipate that, but I’m happy people f###### with it. That’s a blessing.
AllHipHop: How’d it feel to hit that M?
August08: That was my first video to hit a million. Honestly, I didn’t even think about it until right now, so it feels good. [laughs] It feels good, honestly. I’m seeing every day, more and more people learn who I am and start to see my music. F### it, I’m just accepting it. Until a n*gga can’t walk on the streets no more, I’m on these streets.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your next project, Towards The Moon?
August08: Some fire s###, some sad s###.
AllHipHop: If the Towards The Sun is sad, what is Towards The Moon?
August08: Sadder. [laughs] But it’s some pretty records on there, honestly. I got a great record called “What We Used to Be” With Joji. And I got a record with Jhene Aiko, “Water Sign” that’s dropping the day of the project. It’s the single.
AllHipHop: That’s epic! How did that come about?
August08: What happened is, Brian from Fisticuffs, the production team, played my video for Jhene. And Jhene reached out to me.
AllHipHop: What video was it?
August08: “Keep Me Around.” So when it happened, I hit Def Jam like “oh s###, did you connect the Jhene thing?” He said “I told her about you.” But when I talked to Jhene, she said “I reached out because of Brian,” which is fire. It’s history from there. We got in the studio a few times, we get in the studio all the time. Working on her stuff, she’s giving me advice on my stuff.
AllHipHop: What about Joji? Because he’s got a crazy fanbase.
August08: Joji’s my brother. I’m happy to be a part of his career, and we’ve been building for years now. I saw him through many phases, that’s my brother for real. That’s just natural.
AllHipHop: How was Coachella? What is it like being able to perform with the 88rising family?
August08: Coachella was great. It was good to be back with those guys, really tap in and see all the new people who are part of 88Rising now. I feel like an 88rising old head now. I’m part of the legacy group. It was great, and to play Coachella is a dream. I’m thankful to 88.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
August08: Water. I’m so f###### low maintenance. When it comes to the studio, for sure. I’ve never requested anything. Maybe some food.
AllHipHop: What kind of food do you like?
August08: Mediterranean, kanefa is my s###. It’s a little sweet dessert, that s### is f###### fire. Some licorice. I like licorice.
AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point of your career?
August08: To play a stadium, to play an arena show. To buy some land and build a f###### farm, and to not live in California as soon as my s### pop off.
AllHipHop: Where are you going to go?
August08: North Carolina, somewhere that ain’t this m###########. And that’s positive. [laughs]
AllHipHop: Anything else you want fans to know about August08?
August08: I want them to do their homework. Go listen to the old stuff. I’m seeing a lot of fans talk about new stuff, but I’m curious. I got some good projects that’s out. I want them to go. I want them to listen to the old stuff, to be a part of that journey.

The Game is a legend not only on the West Coast, but in the genre of hip hop as a whole.
Born and raised in Compton, California, and putting his city on the map any chance he can, Jayceon Taylor cemented his name in the music industry with his 2005 debut album The Documentary, arguably one of the most influential projects to date.
On Friday, July 8th, The Game shut down the stage at The Novo, for what was supposed to be his new album release show.
While Drillmatic was supposed to drop this evening, The Game gave the disclaimer that he was unable to drop it due to sample clearance issues.
Immediately following, the beat for “Eazy” came in… as the legendary Kanye West stepped on stage to do his part.
Dressed in all black and with his face covered, Ye’s presence was not only felt, but also questioned. Fans on social media were all speculating this wasn’t Ye himself (although they have no concrete evidence).
The guest appearances didn’t stop there, although concert-goers could hardly believe what had just taken place.
Next, The Game brought out Lil Wayne, whom he even reminded everyone that Ice Cube called the “best rapper alive.” Lil Wayne did 3 songs, including “Steady Mobbin” and of course, “A Milli.”
Soon after, it was time for the West Coast legends: Kurupt, DJ Quik, and Suga Free. Pimpin’ was all over the stage.
Then it was time to bring it back to the new generation of rappers, bringing out O.T. Genasis, Blueface, RJ, and last but not least, Symba.
The whole evening, The Game was holding onto a bottle of Deleon Tequila, frequently shouting out Diddy for being a black-owned business.

Additionally, he ended the show with his classics: “Hate It Or Love It” and “How We Do.” Game also cracked jokes throughout the evening and reminded folks exactly how far he’s come.
With his mother being a manager at Taco Bell at age 16, The Game saw her hustle and, in turn, went out into the world with a vengeance.
For anyone who was lucky enough to attend, The Game gave us a show for the books.
The soulful and melodic Erykah Badu was performing for what seemed to be a packed crowd when a fight between two women in the balcony seats.
As Erykah Badu started to put some people in trances with her satin-like voice, she was interrupted by another person shouting “Oh my God. Why is y’all fighting? Erykah Badu makes y’all want to fight?”
Squabbling up at a Erykah Badu concert is brazy 😭😭😭 incense and ankhs everywhere pic.twitter.com/iCryZcmMOg
The women tussled as they fell over rows of seats. An off-camera voice says, “break them up.”
At one point, one of the women, with a very flowery sheer shirt, is situated on top of the other — straddling several rows while showering punches on the woman’s head.
Erykah Badu never misses a note, singing her classic song “Window Seat” from the 2010 album New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) despite the commotion in the less expensive seats.
People tried to separate the two (maybe three) women from fighting. More voices yell as the fight continues, “Y’all missing the show.”
The dominant brawler didn’t care, and even looked like she wanted to give smoke to a bystander trying to diffuse the fight.
The video ends abruptly, but the concert didn’t. Reports say the show was one of her best performances even though the women were wilding out.
The musical mystic of all of Neo-Soul and Hip-Hop said the crowd would “go wild” after seeing her … she just didn’t think it would get this crazy.
Yeah ..The crowd bout to go wild when they see my body still in shape to hit this back flip on stage like I used to do In 97.
Everybody’s waiting for the queen to drop her latest project, Renaissance. However, new information has suggested that she is about to do something more game changing than previously known. First of all, we know that she has released her new single “Break My Soul,” which has already gotten her accolades for bringing back dance music.
We also know that people have already begun to remix it with a number of samples and reworking. What we don’t know is what she is up to in totality. And that is where the rumor comes in. Apparently the language on the album release suggest strongly that this project will be one of three. That’s right, fans you can expect a trilogy from Beyoncé. And I find that to be groundbreaking. And game changing! Why?
As we move further and further away from quality albums and profound musical material, we see Beyoncé going in the opposite direction. Like Lloyd Banks and Naws and others we are seeing a resurgence of albums from traditional artists that have wide ranging cachet.
Anyway, here’s what the language on the promo material say about the album and you tell me what you think.
Six years after ‘Lemonade’, finally arrives the new album of unreleased songs by BEYONCE ‘, out on Friday 29th July. Composed of 16 new tracks, it is titled ‘Renaissance Act I’ and will be the first disc of a celebratory trilogy of black music and culture with many samples of past hits. The new songs will be uptempo with a strong dance, house and even techno orientation. Among the producers of ‘Renaissance Act I’, in addition to BEYONCE itself ‘appear, among others, Ryan Tedder and Raphael Saadiq. , is a proof of this. Entitled ‘Break My Soul’, it is already at # 22 in the ranking of the most played singles by Italian radios and is preparing to become one of this summer’s hits. In Italy ‘Renaissance Act 1’ will only be available on softpack CD with 24 page booklet.
I can’t talk more about Beyoncé without mentioning Jay-Z, her doting husband. There’s still no true evidence that Jay-Z has an album coming. My rumors yielded nothing! Nevertheless, I think that she has to be working on something. Right now, people are in the legacy business. And when you are in the legacy business, you don’t let the competition get one up on you. And we know that Jay-Z, more than almost any other rapper, is aware that they are our competitors looking to become the goat that he is. They’ve always been there but NAS and PREMIER are working together now! Drake is dropping hit after hit after hit! And even others like Kendrick Lamar have been regarded as goats in this present day. We have to get Jay-Z to drop an album!
Anyway Beyoncé is looking like she’s about to create an extinction level event on everybody moving.
Cardi B is not the one to be played with. This we know. But what happened at the Wireless Festival for her to allegedly bop somebody with her microphone.
Everything was doing well, Cardi stood over the London crowd as they video taped her, but something goes left. She bends over and seemingly whacked somebody with her tool. Nobody really knows what happened yet, but we can assume something.
Somebody probably touched her in a way that she did not appreciate, garnering them a few speed knots on the head. Oddly, she was standing on the shoulders of her bodyguard, but it looked like a fan tried to snatch her wig off. You know Cardi doesn’t mind performing when her wig flies off. Unlike the recent situation with Lil Uzi Vert, who tossed a cell phone in the air until is banged somebody in the head, Cardi knew what she was doing.
This is a view that shows the fans reaction and it seems to be real.
Some people have suggested this is not real. I think this will be addressed soon, because you know the person is making a video soon.
By the way, The Bronx rapper has denied that she actually got in the fight at the festival in London. Sadly, all of this came out after she had rocked “Bodak Yellow” and also performed with Offset and Megan Thee Stallion.
The way I see you guys better stop playing with these rappers. There is another viral sensation for all the wrong reasons. This kid LIl Man J has found a way to mimic Lil Baby to a tee. It’s quite hilarious until you realize he actually could replace the rapper sonically. I mean, seriously he cannot really replace Lil Baby, but he does have his style down. So, what are we think about this?
I don’t think it matters what I think, but I do think that it’s something to be said when these guys can so quickly imitate or mimic current rappers. We have a Fake Drake and a Fake Lil Durk and now we have a super fake Lil Baby. It all becomes a question of creative morality. Ol’ boy actually said, ““Trying to be black, I’m as white as can be/ I’m the white Lil Baby, no one harder than me.”
Anyway Lil Baby was not feeling it at all. But, he let the guy slide a bit and asked a question. Is he for real or is he joking?
By the way, clones and Hip-Hop are not really new. But this is becoming atrocious!
Glam rapper Saweetie was tapped to throw the first pitch at the Thursday night Los Angeles Dodgers game, and people are talking about her hands more than they are talking about her form.
The baseball franchise brought the Icy princess with the intention to flex on their fans and prove that the brand is multi-generation.
It was also Dodgers’ Filipino Heritage Night, and her mom is of Filipina and Chinese descent.
But no one knew what the 29-year-old was going to bring the 137-year-old team all the way up to the braggadocios floss of the 21st century, rocking silver and blue jewels (diamond rings, bracelets, and necklaces), expressly coordinating with her custom team jersey with her name stitched on the back.
The chart-topper even had her ridiculously extra-long nails bedazzled and finessed a pair of high silver Christian Louboutin heels as a part of her ensemble.
Outrageous outfit aside, videos suggest that Saweetie actually knew what she was doing on the mound. She even leaned back and kicked up her left leg in a pitching stance, balancing herself in her pumps before executing the throw.
The Dodges memorialized the event on their Instagram, captioning, “ICY.
Thanks for stopping by, @saweetie!” the Dodgers wrote on Instagram, appearing to reference her debut single, “Icy Grl.” Saweetie then replied, “Can’t wait to come back!!!!”
Lloyd Banks is back like he never left. He’s still following a traditional path dropping quality material instead of splattering the internet with random songs. Last year he dropped COTI and this year COTI2 is on the way. The Queens legend has revealed the tracklisting for the sequel, which leads us right through the middle of the year. Get ready for The Course of the Inevitable 2. Lets go!
Cardi B went nuclear on a fan last night during her highly-anticipated performance at the Wireless Festival in the UK.
Cardi B was giving a spirited performance before an enthusiastic crowd when she hopped onto the shoulders of a security guard.
For some reason, a concertgoer in the front row thought it was a good idea to grab the rapper. Cardi wasn’t having any of it. She turned her microphone into a weapon and clobbered the fan.
Footage of the incident shows Cardi swinging the microphone and striking the unidentified individual several times.
Hopefully, things will go better for Cardi during her second performance tonight (July 9th) when she hits the stage again.
Last year, rapper Polo G was arrested and charged with assaulting an officer. However, the charges were eventually dropped.
New police-generated footage has emerged showing the artist beating the cop in the head – with some hood knowledge about the necessity of hustle and generational wealth.
But the officer was not trying to hear that at all.
Little information was known about the arrest other than the officer’s side of the story.
It was alleged that while Polo G was in the backseat of a police patrol car, he kicked at the car doors and window bars. He also alleged that Polo G broke the electronic mechanism for operating one of the officer’s windows.
At some point, the criminal charges went away.
Now, new police bodycam footage has emerged, and you see the 23-year-old did assault the cop, but not how everyone thinks. He gave that man a straight-up tongue lashing … as only a rich, hood, street-talking rapper could do.
The rapper told the officer, “You broke as hell,” as the cop tried to stop him.
“Here we go about the broke and the money. Oh my god,” the cop sighs.
“I’m just sayin’, do you got $10,000 in your bank account right now? I’m just sayin’, bro. If you die right now, what can you give your kids? If you die right now, what could you give the lady that you in bed with?” the rapper continued with questions.
“What could you give to your mama? Have you ever bought yo’ mama anything? Did you buy yo’ mama a car? Did you buy yo’ mama a house? I did that,” Polo G said.
“Good for you, bro. I’m glad you did that… I would love to do that one day,” the cop said.
“You would love to do it, but you never will,” Polo G quipped.
At some point, the cop asks the rapper if he was trying to feel like he was less of a man because he didn’t make much money, and in a relentless-don’t-let-up clap back, he said, “Yes.”
Then he listed all the other jobs he could have had to become a better provider.
Shane Lee “Murda Beatz” Lindstrom is best known as the producer behind hits such as Drake’s “Nice for What” and Chlöe’s “Have Mercy.” This week, the Grammy-nominated beatmaker dropped his own new single titled “No Más.”
The track includes contributions from American rapper Quavo, Colombian singer J Balvin, and Brazilian singer Anitta. Murda Beatz also worked with Pharrell Williams who served as co-producer for the collaboration.
“It’s a record I’m excited about, bringing four different worlds together; America, Colombia, Brazil, and Canada,” states Murda Beatz. “And, of course, having the chance to work alongside a legendary producer like Pharrell is incredible. It’s just the perfect record for the summer.”
Murda Beatz also presented an official “No Más” music video. The Jackson Tisi-directed visuals began trending in the Top 40 on YouTube since arriving on the platform yesterday.
Murda scored an Album Of The Year nomination at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards for his production on Drake’s Views. He also has credit on forty Platinum and multi-Platinum singles and over twenty Billboard 200 #1 albums.
Darryl Raynard Richardson III will be the latest celebrity to step into the squared circle for a wrestling match. The rapper, better known as Lil Scrappy, will take on Baron Black at “The Takeover” on July 28.
Lil Scrappy will be in his hometown of Atlanta for the upcoming Battle Slam event. Previously, the Love & Hop Hip alum confronted Baron Black at Battle Slam’s “Fight For ATL” on June 12.
“When is this going to stop? When are we going to stop letting these celebrities come into this sport and do whatever the hell they want to do, however the hell they want to do it?” asked Baron Black in a promo video posted to social media.
The Atlanta-bred professional wrestler added, “We got lame-ass YouTubers, has-been boxers, 50-year-old jackasses, and now we got rappers coming in here, running amok, doing whatever the hell they please… But that has to stop now. There have to be consequences and repercussions for these actions!”
Baron Black then specifically called out Lil Scrappy. The All Elite Wrestling (AEW) regular promised to make Scrappy’s childhood dreams come true by facing off with the “Money in the Bank” hitmaker at “The Takeover” showcase.
Several Celebrities Have Embraced Pro Wrestling In Recent Years
YouTube personality Logan Paul recently signed a multi-year deal with WWE. The controversial older Paul brother teamed with The Miz in a match against Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 in April.
This year’s WrestleMania also featured high-profile celebrity matches with Jackass star Johnny Knoxville and former NFL player Pat McAfee. Additionally, two-time world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury wrestled for WWE in 2019.
Global music superstar Bad Bunny has a WrestleMania moment too. The former WWE 24/7 Champion joined forces with Damian Priest to go head-to-head with The Miz and John Morrison in a match at WrestleMania 37.

Kylie Jenner has slammed a TikToker who accused her of underpaying for a food delivery.
Pablo Tamayo, who has more than 400,000 followers on the app, posted a video this week saying he delivered an order to Kylie while working for Instacart.
He claimed he picked up a $12 pack of pepperoni from the grocery store Erewhon in West Hollywood and drove it to her home nearby.
“This b#### could have paid me more,” Pablo, 20, said of Kylie Jenner. “It’s under the name of Ashton, so I’m guessing it’s for her assistant or something.”
He claimed he was instructed not to leave the delivery outside but “that I have to call and I have to go through the gate” and recognized the home.
“I just went in Kylie’s house,” he said, noting that he was greeted by a man who walked him past the gate and “through this little pathway with like a river beneath it.”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder posted a video of herself making a salami and pepperoni sandwich for Travis Scott, the father of four-year-old Stormi and their five-month-old son, and slammed the driver’s intrusion.
“No one comes through the gate! the river ?? no river. the lying for attention rubs me the wrong way sorry,” Kylie Jenner said in since-deleted messages. “I did not order this myself! he WAS tipped through the app. lied too about seeing through my windows and hearing my son cry (sic)??”
She also addressed fans who simply wanted to know more about the sandwich she was eating, writing, “Recipe coming soon lol.”
Atlanta rapper Young Thug is making headlines again, but this time he really didn’t do anything.
Reports have thrust one of his family members into the criminal spotlight after authorities revealed he is a suspect in the horrific killing-death of a young woman from East Point.
The YSL label co-founder’s nephew Fardereen Deonta Grier has been arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick, in the face on Wednesday, July 6th.
A spokesperson from the East Point Police Department, Allyn Glover, revealed that when law enforcement arrived at the residence, Grier was sobbing, and Fitzpatrick was lying in a pool of blood near the home’s entrance door.
According to the EPD rep, Grier shared that his uncle was the famous, embattled rapper, Young Thug — a chart-topper currently indicted on RICO charges with 27 other people.
In addition to sharing that he was related to the “Hot” radio staple, Grier explained to those on the scene that two masked intruders were in their house and had guns.
Later he admitted to shooting the young woman.
This may have been a reluctant confession after a neighbor came forth and said he heard arguing in the home before the shooting happened.
Officers arrested Grier and charged him with murder.

DJ Premier and Nas haven’t put in work together for quite some time. But now, that is all changing. Next week, specifically July 15, 2022, the dynamic duo are convening around a project.
With a project is remains a mystery. But it is music. Check out this:
So this is just a snippet of a single song…so we have to do some guesswork here. Most people believe that it is simply a song and not a full album. Others are hoping for Kings Disease 3.
As you know the for the last couple of years Nas has been working with Hit Boy and they have Grammys to back up that work. However, hardcore fans of the Queensbridge lyricist are still looking for that full album produced by the Gang Starr general.
What do we think we’re getting?
The consensus seems to be it’s going to be a song, but we can wish. An album would be amazing and also game-changing for the culture. I see that because both of these guys have been in the game 30 years or so and both of operated. Nas has been a little bit more active, but DJ Premier has been working in different capacities.

Stranger Things season four is one of the most talked-about television programs at the moment. However, the Netflix series is now in the news for a conflict between one of the show’s teenage stars and Doja Cat.
“Noah can you tell Joseph to [hit me up]. Wait no. Does he have a [girlfriend]?” wrote Doja Cat. Schnapp responded, “LMAOO slide into his [direct messages].”
Doja Cat clearly took issue with Noah Schnapp posting their conversation on his TikTok page. During an Instagram Live session on Thursday, the Grammy winner expressed frustration over the situation.
“First, let’s try to be chill about it. To be fair, this is like a kid. I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over… like there’s no way he’s over 21,” Doja Cat told her IG followers. “But when you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s###.”
The 26-year-old RCA recording artist added, “But the fact that Noah did that, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him, is so unbelievably like socially unaware and wack. That’s like borderline snake s###. That’s like weasel s###.”
Doja Cat went on to say she does not believe posting her DMs encapsulates Noah Schnapp’s entire personality. However, the Planet Her creator did reiterate she was uncomfortable with the young actor’s decision to share private information with the public.
Noah Schnapp plays Will Byers on Stranger Things. He is part of a cast that also features Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin. Schnapp also appeared in films such as Bridge of Spies and Waiting for Anya.
