Offset Surprises Cardi B With A Rolls-Royce For Her Birthday During All-Night Party

Cardi B has sparked rumors of a romantic reunion with estranged husband Offset after giving him a raunchy lap dance during her birthday celebrations in Las Vegas.

Cardi turned 28 on Sunday and celebrated on Saturday by partying at a club in Sin City with a host of friends, including her “WAP” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion and singer Teyana Taylor, who was enjoying her first night out since welcoming her second child a month ago.

However, there was one particular guest who caught fans’ attention – Migos star Offset, who presented Cardi with a luxury Rolls-Royce, featuring their daughter’s name, Kulture, embroidered on the seats.

In video footage posted online, the birthday girl appears overjoyed by the generous gift and climbs up onto the door frame to show off her dance moves, shaking her booty as Offset stands directly behind her before the stars share a kiss.

Other social media clips show the group continuing the party at a private rooftop pad, where Cardi was caught on camera straddling Offset as he lay flat on the ground,  treating him to a sexy dance and accidentally flashing him with her breasts as the top of her bodysuit slipped down.

Offset also shared multiple clips of Cardi twerking into the early morning on his Instagram Story timeline.

Their antics took place a day after Offset admitted he was “stressed out” as he confessed, “I miss MRS.WAP (sic)…”, after responding to a fan’s comment about his appearance in a post asking devotees to weigh in on what color he should dye his hair.

Meanwhile, the new car wasn’t the only gift Cardi received from her ex.

On Friday, she posted a video clip of a massive billboard featuring her and two-year-old Kulture in matching pink outfits, sunglasses, and designer Birkin bags, with a message reading, “Happy Birthday Mommy Love, Kulture.”

Hinting the billboard surprise was courtesy of Offset, Cardi captioned the footage, “Thank you, sir… I love it.”

Cardi stunned fans last month by filing for divorce to end their three-year marriage amid rumors of his infidelity.

In the Atlanta, Georgia court papers, she declared the union was “irretrievably broken” and insisted, “There are no prospects for a reconciliation.”

Kobe Bryant Honored By All After Lakers Win NBA Championship With Tribute

Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa led congratulations for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night after the late sportsman’s former team beat Miami Heat to take home the NBA Championship title.

It was the team’s first win of the championship in over a decade but, as they celebrated, the memory of their former teammate – who was killed in a helicopter crash alongside daughter Gianna in January – was on their minds.

“I know he’s looking down on us, proud of us,” Anthony Davis said after the game. “I know Vanessa’s proud of us. The organization’s proud of us. It means a lot to us. It’s a tough moment… He was a big brother to us. We did this for him.”

Vanessa was quick to share her congratulations for the team, posting a snap of Kobe and Lakers’ general manager Rob Pelinka as she wrote: “Go Lakers! Congratulations Uncle P! Congratulations @lakers. Kobe was right, RP! ‘Stay the course– block out the noise.’ @kobebryant.”

“Wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this,” she concluded, adding a red heart emoji.

Pau Gasol and Rick Fox were among the other sports stars dedicating the Lakers’ win to Kobe.

Tupac’s Brother Defends Late Rapper From Trump Campaign Insult

President Donald Trump’s campaign told the press before Wednesday’s buzzworthy vice presidential debate that they left a ticket for deceased rapper Tupac Shakur at the door.

Senior Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller said to a group of reporters on a conference call, “I can confirm that we have left a ticket for Tupac Shakur, who as we know is Sen. Harris’ favorite rapper alive.”

“I don’t know if he shows up,” Miller continued. “I’m personally more of a Biggie fan if he’s still alive, but we will have a ticket waiting for Mr. Shakur.”

Not funny at all.

However, fans were not the only ones who did not find humor in such a snide remark. Trump’s campaign was clowning the Democratic vice-presidential candidate after she misspoke and said that Tupac was her favorite rapper alive.

Kamala Harris Names Tupac As The Best Rapper Alive And The Internet Loses It

The “Dear Mama” rapper’s stepbrother, Mopreme Shakur said that the “joke” was “clearly disrespectful.”

“We should know Trump’s lack of respect for the Black and brown community,” Mopreme snapped.

The comment and the current administration show that there is a lack of sensitivity to the Black, Brown, and Hip-Hop loving community. And yet, they still reach into the community, trying to prove themselves friendly with proposals like the Platinum Plan released to the public weeks ago.

Kanye West Breaks U.K. Quarantine Law For Expensive Dinner

Did Kanye West break international coronavirus quarantining rules on his most recent trip to London with his daughter, North?

That seems to be the case as the Independent presidential candidate was seen dining with his daughter over the weekend.

After arriving in England, he and his oldest child went to eat at the fancy Michiko Sushino, a restaurant owned by the fashion designer Michiko Koshino.

Ordinarily, this would not be an issue but with the 2020 global COVID-19 pandemic, everyone who arrives from the United States is mandated by the British parliament to quarantine for two weeks inside before going out in the country.

Having dinner was not the West’s only excursion. They also went to the jewelry store in Dover Street Market, the Bottega Veneta fashion show, and Selfridges on Oxford Street.

Many also noted that he and his baby girl were rocking “Vote for Kanye” shirts.

The producer-turned-rapper-turned-designer-turned-husband-turned-architect-turned-president announced he was running for the chief executive of the United States on July 4, 2020. Since taking office, it is said that he has spent almost $7 million on his campaign, mostly getting paying people to work and collect signatures for him to get on the ballot in certain purple states.

Someone has to tap the presidential hopeful and let him know that foreign relations with America’s allies require him to respect the rules of our allies.

Logic Sets Record With $226,000 Pokemon Purchase

Enjoying a career of substance is something that few emcees have been blessed to have achieved. One that is lucrative … even fewer.

Logic seems to have been able to do both. Evidence of this can be seen in his recent purchase of a rare collectors’ item that ran him almost a quarter million bucks. The retired Def Jam artist paid $226,000 for a first edition Charizard with no shadow, setting a new Nintendo Collectibles record.

He also dropped $23,000 on a Pokemon box set that he shared on social media.

“Just opened a $23k Pokémon base set box! Only a few packs in but What did I pull?”

“When I was a kid I absolutely loved Pokémon but couldn’t afford the cards. I remember even trying to trade food stamps for theirs and now as an adult who has saved every penny he has made being able to enjoy something that I’ve loved since childhood now as a grown man is like buying back a piece of something I could never have, it’s not about the material it’s about the experience.”

Logic was recently in the news for an in-depth conversation about mental health with NBC’s Carson Daly about this very important issue with an encouraging tone.

“Anything that anybody can be going through alone, in the depths of their mind, and they feel like they can’t get out of it — dude, you totally can,” Logic said. “And you will laugh later. It is a real thing. You can 100% get out of it, but it’s by making positive steps.”

On his Instagram, he directed his fans to the video of the work that he is doing to change.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, which happened on Saturday, October 10th, Logic appeared in a video series entitled, “Mind Matters.”

The series sheds light and gives a face to mental health and wellness challenges, taking the social stigma out of the various conditions that often prevent people from getting help.

Jay-Z Backed Earbuds Company Readies For Competition With Apple

Rapper Jay-Z is backing one of the most notable brands in the audio tech space, Devialet. On Friday, the French brand that is usually associated with expensive speakers announced a new product to the market – wireless earbuds called Gemini.

According to CNBC, these stylish buds will land in the United States after Thanksgiving and will run a little under $300 a pair.

The “Can’t Knock the Hustle” rapper has linked up with billionaire Bernard Arnault to get into the lucrative space, which is dominated by Beats by Dr. Dre and Apple.  It appears that the joints that are being offered by Devialet are more expensive than Apple’s AirPods Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Live.

But is that a good strategy? Company suits at the head of the campaign believe so.

“Two years ago, we were struggling to decide which product we would want to launch next,” Devialet CEO Franck Lebouchard shared. “The reason why we made that decision on true wireless was really around offering a great sound experience to many people, not only audiophiles.”

Devialet has not released a new product in over two years.  They hope Gemini the Gemini will help them dethrone Apple’s status as the biggest player in the earbud space.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Girlfriend Jade Pays Loving Tribute To Missing Rapper

In September, rumors started to circulate throughout the Hip-Hop community that troubled rapper Tekashi 69 had overdosed on diet pills and caffeine.

Last week after confirming that he had been hospitalized, fans seemed to ask for proof of wellness.

That later came from his on and off again friend DJ Akademiks. Now, his longtime girlfriend Jade seems to have taken to social media to suggest that rap music’s favorite troll is recovering.

Over the weekend, she posted a montage of video clips and photos of her beloved. While not saying much, fans believe that this was her cryptic signal to their supporters that he is doing better.

What were in the videos?

Some clips of them making out, personal life shots, and even behind the scenes at his video shoots. According to various reports, Tekashi said that he was trying to lose weight and was taking diet pills.

There has been no official word from a doctor or other medical professional. His absence from social media since September 11th, the 19th anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack on the nation, has been felt in the culture.

It also adds to the uneasiness of his fans. Hopefully, he is alright and that Jade’s was a sign to us of his positive recovery.

Royce Da 5’9 Challenges Taboo Stereotypes About Mental Health

When Royce da 5’9 dropped The Allegory in February, fans got to see a little more of who Ryan Montgomery is.

As a 40 something, the project was a declaration that he cares about the growth of his community, emphasizing mental, social, and financial security.  Songs are one thing, but many wondered what he was doing to address some of the things he brought up in the project.

These people are not true Royce fans — but here is evidence of his sincerity.

On October 14th, the Slaughterhouse rapper’s philanthropic arm will launch one of the most comprehensive initiatives to help the most vulnerable in his beloved Detroit, gain access to FREE mental health care.

The Ryan Montgomery Foundation will partner with NAMI (The National Alliance On Mental Illness), and CNS Healthcare to address what John Greden, M.D., founder, and director of the University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center, says is a “collision” and “combination” of toxic mental health issues.

The Ann Arbor psychiatrist said especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic that “we have a collision of things underway.

“The combination is toxic. Some people have pre-existing depression, bipolar and anxiety conditions. They are intensified because of the pandemic, job loss, social isolation, and sleep disturbances,” Dr. Garden said.

The launch that will help people who have traditionally believed that therapy is only for “white people” will happen at a press conference on Wednesday, October 14th at Hart Plaza from 4 PM to 6 PM in Detroit.

The lyricist shares, “As a person of color who has seen a therapist for many years now, I know how important it is to talk about your issues with an unbiased mental health care professional.”

“My people often think seeking a therapist is taboo,” he continues. “It’s my mission to dispel that myth and give light to those who believe there is no way out of the darkness.”

Speakers include the following: Royce da 5’9, Mouchette Muhammad (Ryan Montgomery Foundation), Kevin Fischer (NAMI), Michael Garrett (CNS), Dr. Michele Leno (Mind Matters), and Marcus Harris (DPD).

In addition to his distinguished panel of speakers and appearances, youth groups and local artists will create the entertainment for the two-hour event including Royce’s artist Ashley Sorrell, as well as Forever Gold, Youth United, and Sister Poet.

“NAMI Michigan is excited to collaborate with international recording artist Royce da 5’9,” says Kevin Fischer, Executive Director of NAMI Michigan. “His transparency and celebrity, combined with his passion to raise mental health awareness, specifically in communities of color, will have an incredible impact on our mission to eliminate the stigma associated with seeking mental healthcare, which we consider the leading barrier to the early diagnosis and treatment that leads to better outcomes. His advocacy is needed and sincerely appreciated.”

The Allegory has songs that give nods to how therapy has helped him.

On one song in particular, “Hero,” he notes that therapy helped him heal his relationship with his father.

In addition to announcing her new line of sneaks, Cardi’s birthday started with a sweet gift from her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset. Even though the couple is divorcing, Offset purchased a huge birthday billboard on behalf of baby Kulture.

The billboard showcases Cardi and her 2-year-old in matching pink outfits rocking Birkin bags. The caption reads: “Happy Birthday Mommy! Love, Kulture,” Despite the recent turbulence in her love life, Cardi B has flourished during the pandemic.

Cardi’s sex-positive song “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion debuted at #1 in August. She immediately moved to trademark the title of the song to make “WAP” a brand, so she could sell everything from clothes to umbrellas.

Cardi B also launched an Only Fans account which has become immensely popular. According to reports, Cardi B is earning around $6 million a month with OnlyFans.

Cardi also partied with Offset over the weekend at their lavish mansion with a few intimate associates including her sister Hennessy Carolina. The rapper hosted an epic twerk fest throughout her house in a skin-tight grey catsuit, as she puffed on a cigarette.

9lokkNine Busted Over Gunplay At Florida Mall And For Shooting Up A House

Central Florida rapper 9lokkNine was arrested after engaging in dangerous gunplay outside of the Mall at Millenia during shopping hours.

While no one was hurt, both the “Az-Za” performer and the teenaged man that first shot at him, Trey’von Jaheim Graham were arrested and locked up by the local police on Thursday.

Orlando’s local law enforcement reportedly responded to calls regarding the shooting swiftly, according to local news station WFTV 9.

In a written report by OPD, the shooting stemmed from beef between Cash Money Records rapper 9lokkNine, real name Jacquavius Smith, and Graham.

Four off-duty Orlando police officers, who were moonlighting as security for the mall, are said to have been able to deescalate the situation and detain the two principal suspects without pulling out their weapons — and without incident.

Graham was charged with discharging a firearm in public and attempted first-degree murder.

9lokkNine’s charges were not even related to this particular conflict.

9lokkNine’s arrest was based on an outstanding warrant he had in which he was charged for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a short-barreled rifle.

Circumstances around this event stemmed from an incident in July where he shot into someone’s home near North Lane and Langdal Drive.

A witness said that they saw five to eight men hop out of their cars with their guns out, shooting up the house with no regard. While no one was hit, it is reported that one woman and her four children were inside the home.

The house sustained approximately $10,000 worth of damages. 9lokkNine’s bail was only $300, which he posted immediately and was released.

UNH White Male Professor Pretends to Be A Black Woman to Harass Other Black Women

Another case of trans-racialism has found its way in the news, proving once again that white privilege and supremacy has no bounds. This time, it is not a white woman trying to pass herself off as a Black woman, but a white man.

Yes, according to the official newspaper for the University of New Hampshire, The New Hampshire, a white male professor at the school in one of their science programs used social media to allegedly impersonate a “woman of color.”

While claiming to be a “woman of color” by the moniker of “The Science Femme,” teacher Craig Chapman actually bullied his fellow staff members — who were of color.

Chapman has subsequently been fired from his position at UNH after an investigation proved that he was secretly tweeting as “The Science Femme” on the Twitter account @piney_the.

Various messages attacked progressives, transgender people, and people of color.  At the time of his firing, he had over 13,000 followers.

One of the misleading quotes read as follows, “I was successful in killing my dept’s woke statement on recent social unrest” and that he believes this to be “a toxic ideology that cannot be given an inch.”

Chapman further noted with boastful pride that he, through this imaginary identity called “The Science Femme” was working to remove, “all woke terminology from the statement including anti-racism, white supremacy, white privilege, and claims of systemic racism.”

He also posted pictures of an unidentified woman that were “illicit and revealing,” basically trying to s###-shame her — while posing as a righteous and intelligent “woman of color.”

The school has been working to support marginalized communities, cracking down on spaces that are not inclusive, and working to dismantle inequity. This is actually what prompted him to create The Science Femme to actually undermine this work. He even bragged about it from the now-deleted account.

https://twitter.com/sarahcatdance/status/1310965843996676105?s=20

“Being on these committees is the best way to steer larger policy further down the line,” The Science Femme says inferring that she (who is really a he) is working within the school to push the aforementioned agenda. “You have to endure all manner of nonsense, but do it.”

So what did the school say?

Chapman worked under the Chemistry Department Chair Glen Miller who, according to The New Hampshire, confirmed in an email to faculty and staff that his worker did write the statement. In said statement he noted that he “condemned the offensive statements,” but did not condemn the misrepresentation or cultural appropriation for a forced and abusive agenda.

Instead, Miller  said in the correspondence that he still supports Chapman as a person.

The UNH Spokeswoman Erika Mantz did comment to the paper saying, “we are deeply troubled by what we’ve learned so far and immediately launched an investigation.”

This case is different from Jessica Krug, a George Washington University professor of African American studies, who confessed this summer that she had been living as a Black woman for years and lying to friends, co-workers, community stakeholders, and students.

It is also different from the Satchuel Cole from the Black Lives Matter movement and Rachel Dolezal, a former chapter president of the NAACP.

All three of these Caucasian people were a) women and b) lovers of Black culture and people so passionate that they tried to assume the actual lived experience while working for the liberation of the community. For them, being allies was not just enough and their white privilege tricked them into believing that they had a right to it— even to our pain.

Still twisted, wrong, and abusive at the other side of the spectrum. Everybody wanna be a Black woman — but nobody really wants her burden.

Jay-Z Posts Bail For Alvin Cole’s Mom After She’s Arrested Protesting Killer Cop

Alvin Cole was a Black teen who lost his life in 2020 as a result of a police-involved shooting in Wauwastosa, Wisconsin.

On October 8, 2020, his mother was arrested for protesting the murder of her son.

Tracy Cole; her three daughters Taleavia, Tristiana, and Tahudah; and several protesters were arrested in Wauwatosa on Thursday.  They are no longer in custody thanks to some of Hip-Hop supporters of the social justice movement, Jay-Z and his TeamRoc.

Their bond was posted by TeamRoc according to CBS.

The civil unrest came a day after police officer Joseph Mensah escaped charges for shooting her son last February outside of the Mayfair Mall after a minor dispute.

The cops say Cole and an associate darted from the mall with cops in pursuit after he refused to surrender.

On October 7, the Milwaukee County District Attorney declined to press charges against Mensah for killing the 17-year-old. DA John Chisholm maintains that his death by shooting was justified.

“Mr. Cole went to Mayfair Mall armed with a 9mm,” said Chisholm. “He had a confrontation with a patron. While he was running from them, he discharged the firearm, and from that point on, he was ordered to surrender the firearm and never did so.”

The public was not buying it, which is why the protest erupted.

There were 20 additional people arrested and bailed out. They were detained for not obeying the Wauwatosa city’s 7 p.m. curfew.

It is reported by TeamRoc that Cole’s mother Tracy sustained a broken arm after the authorities used “excessive force” arresting her.

“Our hearts break for the family of Alvin Cole and the Wauwatosa community,” Team Roc Executive Director Dania Diaz told CBS News. “Not only did the District Attorney’s Office fail to hold Officer Joseph Mensah accountable for killing Alvin, but the local police also arrested and injured Alvin’s mother Tracy and his sisters as they peacefully protested alongside Jacob Blake’s father.”

Officer Mensah’s record is not just blemished by the death of Alvin Cole. Since 2015, while in uniform, the police officer has shot and killed three people.

As in this case, the DA said his actions were justified.

Gucci Mane’s New Artist Pooh Shiesty Wanted For Shooting In Florida; Two Injured

Gucci Mane’s new artist Pooh Shiesty is wanted for a shooting in Bay Harbor, Florida. The cops say Pooh Shiesty and an accomplice shot two victims after a deal over drugs and expensive sneakers went bad.

Locals in the area reported hearing three gunshots. They witnessed a green McLaren and a black Mercedes-Benz speeding away from the scene.

According to Fox News 7, two victims in the Mercedes-Benz ultimately reached a nearby healthcare center.

The two injured individuals were treated for their injuries. Both victims are expected to survive.

The cops indicated Pooh Shiesty was the driver of the green McLaren and he is wanted in relation to the shooting.

Pooh Shiesty is an artist signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 imprint. In addition to records with Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty has dropped the songs with artists like Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo.

The rapper, real name Lontrell Williams, is originally from Memphis, Tennessee.

In 2019 Pooh Shiesty released his critically acclaimed debut “Shiesty Summer.” In April of 2020, Gucci Mane contacted Pooh Shiesty in a DM on Instagram, and shortly after, the rapper signed with 1017.

Scammers Who Posed As Roc Nation And Wu-Tang Clan Reps Prepare For Prison

Two men are facing 20 years in prison for posing as members of the Wu-Tang Clan and Roc Nation to cheat limo services, hotels, and banks just to act like high-rollers.

Aaron Barnes-Burpo, 29, of Crestview, Florida., and Walker Washington, 52, of Augusta, Georgia has confessed to their multi-state scam.

In alternating cons, Burpo and Washington would pose as employees of Roc Nation, or as representatives of the Wu-Tang Clan. Then the conmen used stolen credit cards to rent a Rolls-Royce and luxury limos to floss in each city.

Burpo and Washington spared no expense and ran up over $100,000 when they stayed at the best hotels, and recording in studios like the famous rappers whose lifestyles they so desperately wanted to emulate.

The whole scam fell apart after alert staff members at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Augusta became suspicious of the two men and called the cops.

“These men play-acted as bigshots so they could rip off hospitality providers for luxury treatment, but their scam fell apart thanks to an alert Augusta hotel clerk,” said U.S. Attorney Christine. “It didn’t take Nick Cannon to figure out the defendants were lip-synching, and they’ll be disappointed to learn that their future accommodations in federal prison won’t be as swanky as those hotels.”

Both men have already admitted to fronting as if they worked for Roc Nation and the Wu. Burpo and Washington both pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Up Top Movement And Founder BG Takes Toronto’s Indie Hustle Around The World

Up Top Movement is here to put on for the culture, specifically Toronto culture. Founded by owner Shem aka BG, the respected indie label from Canada has been staying busy since the release of their compilation album titled Northside Jane, which has accumulated well over 20 million streams. Now, they’re excited as ever to be releasing the project’s second installment, Northside Jane 2.

Coming into fruition in 2013, the label focuses on showcasing the talent hailing from the Jane and Finch neighborhood in Toronto. When it comes to independent artists in the Canadian rap scene, they’ve built their name up releasing music and projects with the likes of Robin Banks, Houdini, Burna Bandz, Why G, J Neat, and more.

BG has been in music a long time. He states,” I’ve been putting out the best music from Canada since 2014. The most numbers, the most everything over here. Always been around.”

One thing the label prides themselves on is community. Back in May, one of the city’s most favored rising acts, Houdini, was tragically shot and murdered in downtown Toronto. Footage was captured and played on local and national news stations. Later during his funeral, a car drove by and opened fire on those in attendance outside a banquet hall.

Burna Bandz was one, who opened fire back and was then arrested, now awaiting bail. The project contains their collaborative single “Sick Of Cells,” celebrating both artists in their own way.

AllHipHop: Being from Toronto, what was your upbringing like?

BG: I grew up in Jane and Finsh, Driftwood. It’s a bad area of Toronto. A lot of violence, drugs, all that.

AllHipHop: When did music come into play?

BG: The older guys used to rap. I used to rap when I was a kid. I used to write raps, I was like 12 or 13. I went to the studio one time and did a verse, but I never took it seriously. I was in the streets. The older guys were rapping, always rapped and repped the area. My homie rapped, we did videos. I guess every generation rapped. One morning, God told me to build a studio.

BG: One of the homies introduced me to Robin Banks. I brought Robin Banks to the studio in my crib.

AllHipHop: Robin Banks was on Up Top correct?

BG: Yeah, one of the first artists on Up Top. I brought him to the studio, we started doing some songs and videos. I built a YouTube page. I built an Instagram, but I keep getting in trouble. Forgetting the passwords. My IG probably would’ve been a lot of followers by now. I started a YouTube page, a Twitter, was building from then. Around 2013 to 2014.

AllHipHop: When did you get the idea for Up Top Movement?

BG: I got it from my neighborhood, they call it Up Top Driftwood. I called it Up Top Movement to rep the hood.

AllHipHop: How do you find new talent and artists?

BG: Just kids in the streets. I bring them and the studio and develop them.

AllHipHop: Can you bring us through the origins of the label?

BG: The first artist is Robin Banks. I woke up one morning and God put it in my head. You know those movies where they spring up with the idea, like you wake up in the morning and you spring up out of your bed? It was like that. God told me to build a studio, I built it in my room in my crib. One of the first songs was “Don’t Try Me” by Robin Banks. The next song was called Up Next” by Robin Banks.

AllHipHop: How is the Jane and Finch community an integral part of the label and its brand?

BG: Because it’s where I grew up, it’s what I represent. Jane and Finch is a lot of killings, drugs, a lot of shooting and drugs. Gang wars, that’s all that goes on over there.

AllHipHop: What are your future goals with the label?

BG: I want to be one of the top labels in the world.

AllHipHop: How do you plan on getting there?

BG: Just putting out all genres of music. I’m putting out all types of music.

AllHipHop: Talk about the Northside Jane 2 album and how important it is to Canadian hip-hop?

BG: I did Northside Jane 1 in 2018. Robin Banks got shot, he wasn’t rapping for a little while. There was some young n*ggas that came out like Burna Bandz, Houdini, Tallup Twinz, couple of young boys I brought into the studio. We started making songs and videos, I put them out. Put them out there and they started doing good. He started doing good, he started doing numbers. Northside Jane 1 was a smash, over 20 million of streams. Millions of views on YouTube for the videos.

AllHipHop: What was it about that album that people liked?

BG: It’s gritty. Toronto knows, the streets know what we’re about. When we speak, they listen. That’s why they really like it. The music’s good too. This second one, Houdini just passed away. Burna’s in jail, Tallup Twinz was in jail, so it was harder to make. It wasn’t how I wanted to do it truly, but because of the circumstances I had to work with it.

AllHipHop: Why wasn’t it how you wanted to do it?

BG: There’s some song Houdini was supposed to be on, some other songs. Burna’s locked up so he couldn’t really get on it. Tallup Twinz didn’t get on it because one was in jail and one of the twins passed away. His brother passed away, just a lot of s### left out.

AllHipHop: Talk about the importance of community building.

BG: Up Top Movement is for the kids. Some kids aren’t rapping just to rap, they want to rap instead of doing certain things. They want an outlet to places but they don’t have it, and I provide that with my studio. It’s a safe haven for the kids. They’d rather be there in the studio instead of in the streets. Of course, I want to give back to the community and help do my part.

Stormzy Pulls Up To Chip’s House As Beef Intensifies

Stormzy has come under fire from rival U.K. grime star Chip, who has accused the “Vossi Bop” star of attempting to intimidate him by turning up at his home.

The pair have reportedly been at odds since March when Chip, along with fellow grime stars Skepta and Young Adz, teamed up for “Waze” which contains lyrics that appear to mock Stormzy’s declaration that he’s the “king” of the genre.

In a tweet that has now been deleted, Chip posted a video purportedly showing Stormzy turning up at his home, only to be turned away by an associate who warned Stormzy his actions were “disrespectful.”

Chip captioned the video: “June…when you get sent a video of Stormzy & friends tryna run up on your house.”

In the clip, a figure referred to as Stormzy says, “Telephone me, innit,” and then is told by a person leaning out of an upstairs window: “You think you can just pull up to people’s houses? No I ain’t gonna phone you, Stormzy. You’re disrespectful bro, and that’s that.”

Stormzy, who deleted his social media accounts earlier this year, is yet to publicly respond to Chip’s allegations, although fans have assumed the hitmaker’s guest verse on Tion Wayne’s new track “I Dunno” slams his rival for questioning his “goat” (greatest of all time) status.

Grime veteran Wiley has also weighed in on the feud, warning Stormzy, real name Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo, Jr., to be “careful” about pursuing the beef.

“Listen, I’m all for the war. I love war,” Wiley said in a video shared by fans on social media since his own accounts are disabled due to antisemitic comments he made earlier this summer.

“Obviously, my two young gunnas, I’m not tryna see them do it. I was aware of this but Mike, I told you be careful of this, it’s 2020. You can’t be around people’s doors, it’s not the old days. I said this to ya. Listen, they’re gonna make an example mate, be careful Mike.”

Tyrese Defends The Honor Of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Trayvon Martin & Others In “Legendary”

Tyrese has been acclaimed as one of the most prolific, powerful, also confounding artists of the day with a range that identifies him as the consummate Renaissance man. Moving from movies to Hip-Hop to R&B, the Watts representative has managed to thrive, all the while, keeping deep roots with the people. Musically, he has not been as vocal, but all of that stopped with the release of “Legendary,” a song that pairs him up with Cee-Lo Green. Together they tackle the rampant scourge of police brutality that plagues America. Visually, “Legendary” is stunning as it re-examines Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Trayvon Martin and others that have been murdered in brutish abuses of authority.

AllHipHop’s Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur talked to Tyrese and got his take on Social Justice as well as himself as an outspoken artist with much to lose for fighting racism. Check out Tyrese, live and direct.

AllHipHop: I gotta salute you.  I want to ask you, first of all, you’ve come back to music with “Legendary.” It’s a thought-provoking and a deep, deep song. Talk to us about what made you do this now. Talk about the song a little bit and why it was so heavy on your heart.

Tyrese: Well, the thing is, us as recording artists, we got this huge gaping hole inside of us. We’re competitive. We’re insecure. We’re always chasing relevancy. We want to be on the charts. We don’t want to disappear. If we’re going through some s###, we don’t even want to go through some s### without releasing a song about it.

You know And which is contributed to a whole lot of trash out here. Rather you saying a rap and people just in the studio not really diving into…focusing on the culture or the craft. And that’s no disrespect and I’m not calling out names even though I am known for doing that because I’m too real to fake it. The truth is I have felt no need to do music. I have felt no need to make any statements or do anything on any level. George Floyd’s death gave me life.

I don’t care about where we land on the charts. I don’t care how many single sales are sold. I don’t care about people but And talking about Tyrese. I did this on behalf of the victims’ families.

And I jumped out there to do this song and create this uncomfortable visual experience where we’ve heard all the stories about Brianna Taylor. But supposedly there was no bodycam footage. No apartments had cameras, no cars venue to police squads who pulled up and murder this innocent woman in her apartment. Everything we’ve heard about stories of what actually happened to Breonna Taylor is now featured, a little small peek in this “Legendary” song and video. And I said to myself something which is very uncomfortable and there is no media training them prepare you for how to say what I’m about to say.

I’m not a part of the LBGT community, but I do care. And I am in tune with the sensitivities of what they deal with and have to live with every day. I’m not Asian, but there’s a spike in domestic violence and the aggressive abuse and blatant racism that’s happening towards Asian people, because this coronavirus supposedly came from Wu Han and Asia. I’m not Jewish, but I am worried and concerned about the spike in anti-Semitism where people are in the synagogue innocently praying and I Donald Trump has motivated racist white bigots and evil people to start killing and abusing and doing bad things to innocent Jewish people.

The problem with living in this Black skin every single day is there is a general of people are here who have decided I don’t care about Black topics, Black issues or any of the sensitivities of what it is to live in the life of being a Black and Brown person in this country. And so as I did this song and this video, specifically on behalf of the victim, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin, I did something that was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever done ever in my life. Because I’d like to be the voice for the voiceless. I’d like to create a stage and the platform and use my God-given stage of influence to shed light on these and justices. And so rather you’re a pastor giving a speech at a podium. Rather you’re an on-air personality or like you a man of significant in Hip-Hop culture. It is our job duty and responsibility to use by any means necessary, as I brother Malcolm X, would have said, to shed light on the falls and shortcomings of what’s going on in this world, that Black and Brown people continue to be on the receiving end.
