While the Hip Hop mogul moves closer to that individual mark, the publication is now reporting Jay and his wife Beyoncé are officially a billion-dollar couple.
Bey is reportedly worth $350 million, and Jay’s net worth now sits at $810 million.
That puts the couple’s combined net worth at $1.16 billion.
Both music superstars continue to amass more wealth.
Bow Wow spoke about the situation during the New York City screening of his upcoming reality show Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.
The 30-year-old rapper/actor admitted his longtime mentor Jermaine Dupri expressed concern about the public backlash.
However, Bow saw the opportunity to flip the mockery into publicity.
He stated:
Once America got a hold of it I said, OK. I said, damn we got a show coming. This is probably gonna be the newest hot show on WE tv. F-ck it, I’m runnin’ with it. We gonna ride this wave, we gonna spin this thing around. And for me and my homies, we joke all the time. Like, we be at the studio, we be at the bar, and it’s no cut. What I mean by that is there’s no holds barred when we crack jokes. So for me, I think what a lot of people don’t understand is, by me being in the game since five [years old], I’m pretty much bulletproof to it all. I’ve heard it all. I’ve heard the naysayers… so for me it’s like just kick back and be like “OK world, pay attention to me.” It’s the right time. We got May 25th right around the corner. That’s called P.R. Let’s go ahead and ride this thing out. That’s just how I am. I’m a high-spirited person. I never really get down. If I get outta line sometimes, and they wanna go in [on me], I let ‘em go in. I laugh at it. We kick back, we smoke, we chill. Sometimes we need that laughter. Laughter – that’s happiness, you know what I’m sayin’? So for me, I never trip. And I never said I was on that plane. But I guess I’m just gonna hop on [Jermaine Dupri’s] jet and call it a day.
Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta is scheduled to premiere May 25 on WEtv.
The show also stars Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter, Jermaine Dupri’s daughter Shaniah Mauldin, DJ Hurricane’s daughter Ayana Fite, Waka Flocka’s brother Brandon Barnes as well as T.I. and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique Pullins.

The “Happy” singer received a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts at the Yankee Stadium on Wednesday and delivered a ten-minute commencement speech to graduates in which he praised their generation for helping create change with issues such as social justice, the use of technology, and equal rights.

The world that you will live in that will be a lot better. This is the first generation that navigates with the security and confidence to treat women as equals.”
The singer, wearing a purple gown and graduation cap, also added, “There is no humanity without education and there is no education without humanity.”
The 44-year-old has a connection to the university as he previously served as an artist in residence for a year from October 2015.
During his stint, he taught classes and participated in talks.

(AllHipHop News) After the huge success of the film Get Out, Jordan Peele has announced another horror-themed project.
The former MADtv and Key & Peele star is heading back to work on TV for a forthcoming HBO series.
Deadline reports Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will partner with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros Television for Lovecraft Country.
Underground creator/producer Misha Green was tapped to write the series’ pilot and will also serve as showrunner.
HBO’s Lovecraft Country is based on Matt Ruff’s 2016 novel about the African-American character Atticus Turner searching for his missing father in Jim Crowe era America.
Ironically, Ruff has said he originally crafted the concept of Lovecraft Country as a story for television – similar to The X-Files – before turning it into a book.
“When I first read Lovecraft Country I knew it had the potential to be unlike anything else on television,” said Green. “Jordan, JJ, Bad Robot, Warner Bros and HBO are all in the business of pushing the limits when it comes to storytelling, and I am beyond thrilled to be working with them on this project.”
‘Lovecraft Country’ is more of a social thriller/horror/sci fi/ based on Matt Ruff’s book; the amazing @MishaGreen will helm the show! https://t.co/xGuRpVj8Gj

(AllHipHop Rumors) Uncle Luke has never been one to bite his tongue!
Uncle Luke recently took to Instagram to set the record straight about who really runs Miami!
Uncle Luke felt the need to inform Real Housewives of Atlanta star Peter Thomas that he and DJ Khaled don’t run Miami.
Luke let it be known that he in fact was the one who brought Hip Hop to south Florida after Peter claimed that he brought blackness to South Beach with his ‘How Can I Be Down’ conference.
Peter also says he brought Puff, Russell Simmons and more down to Miami Beach.
“Luke came after me, I was there first,” said Peter.
Peter claimed that he could take Miami back at anytime, and if folks don’t believe him, they should ask DJ Khaled.
Apparently Uncle Luke is not here for all of the praise that DJ Khaled has been getting, and he had to fact check Peter’s claims.
“So Mr. Thomas you called DJ Khaled, as if DJ Khaled run some sh-t down here. DJ Khaled is another settler. He came from New Orleans. He went to Orlando. He couldn’t get on as a DJ in Orlando then he came down here to Miami. He got on at Mix 96 the underground radio station. I heard him on the radio and then I brought it to light to the mainstream on 99 Jamz on my mix show. My brother this guy don’t run sh-t down here neither, he just scream Miami out. He needs to be screaming out New Orleans,” said Uncle Luke.
Uncle Luke told Peter that he needed to actually be shouting out legendary Miami DJs when he shouts out DJs, and he goes on to say Peter wouldn’t know them because he also is a “settler.”
What are your thoughts? Is Luke just stating facts!?
(AllHipHop Rumors) I mean most artists with sense, and those that value real Hip Hop aspire to work with the greats! It’s only the trash azz rappers that are out here disrespecting the greats.
Ugly God recently shared on Instagram that he wants to produce a track for Nas! He uploaded a snippet of a track to his Instagram with a caption that said,
“Somebody tell @nas I wanna produce a track for him. By the way the chords weren’t a sample, they were keys played and bounced down to loop. Everything authentic,” posted Ugly God.
Ugly God isn’t exactly a top tier rapper, so some folks definitely went in. Some came to his defense claiming the beat sounded nice and crediting him as a nice producer. Others clowned him and the beat for having generic sounds.
How is it sounding to you? Do you think Nas will give him a shot?

(AllHipHop Rumors) It’s actually kind of weird that folks think French Montana and Amber Rose are dating.
I mean in Hip Hop as well as Hollywood or Hollyweird depending on who you ask, if a person is spotted out with another person, people automatically assume they are dating.
French and Amber have always made it clear that they were cool, so I don’t know why it’s been all of this buzz now.
Folks really believe they are an item after some photos of them partying it up together in Miami surfaced.
Amber Rose took to Instagram to shut down the rumors as well as express how tired she was of being associated with rappers from photos.
“When ur friends genuinely love you because ur personality is amazing and ur heart is even more beautiful but the internet sexualizes every male friend you have ?,” said Amber.
Maybe Amber should’ve remained quiet because not many of her “fans” were buying her story on the gram. Most commented that they definitely believed French is smashing.
The funniest thing about Amber to me is the fact that every other day she is calling herself a s### and glamorizing hoeing and hoe behavior, but gets mad because people associate her with the slutty behavior.
For some reason I don’t buy their whole brother and sister relationship. LOL. It’s very much possible that thats’ all they are, but girls also use that often as a cover up. Carry on.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Although the wait has felt like forever, it looks like Lil Wayne’s ‘Carter V’ album will see the light of day!
Big Sean recently sat down with MTV News to share his appreciation for Lil Wayne, and he expressed that he was so impressed and grateful that Lil Wayne would even pay respect to him considering the fact that it’s no business between them. Big Sean stated that their relationship is literally all love.
Big Sean said for Wayne to pay him respect with how competitive Hip Hop is, is like the highest honor.
Sean also expressed that he rode to school listening to ‘Dedication I’, ‘Tha Carter’, and ‘500 Degreez’, as he’s always been one of the biggest Lil Wayne fans.
Lil Wayne fans now have another reason to keep hope alive because Big Sean confirmed that Wayne’s long-awaited ‘Tha Carter V’ project is in fact coming out.
“Oh yeah that Carter V on the way too. He told me to say that,” said Big Sean.
Sean also stated that with ‘Tha Carter V’ he just wants to see Wayne at his best. I love the fact that Big grew up listening to Wayne, and he ended up working with him since the beginning of his career.
At this point, do you think ‘Tha Carter V’ will be released?

However, the Bronx raptress still has one request from her “Shether” target.
During an interview with The Cruz Show, Remy addressed Nicki’s claims of having photos proving she got plastic surgery.
“I’m still waiting for before-and-after pictures. I’m patiently waiting,” said Rem. “This is all me. Every last bit of it.”
The Plata O Plomo album creator added, “But if it wasn’t, then I would say that. It becomes a problem when you’re fronting and you’re acting like it’s not.”
Nicki’s allegations were mentioned in her song “No Frauds” when she rapped, “I got before and after pictures of your surgery.”
Those Minaj lyrics were a response to Remy calling out Nicki on “Shether” for allegedly getting butt enhancement and influencing other women to get the procedure.
“But you point your fingers at me? I’m the bad girl? When she the one out here misleading the black girls?
All these fake a#### influenced by that girl. Dying from botched surgeries. What a sad world,” spit Rem.
The conversation with Power 106 also included Remy Ma pushing back against accusations she uses a ghostwriter.
“Call anybody I do songs with. Call Swizz [Beatz]. You can go back. Ask [Fat] Joe,” suggested Remy. “Or ask people that’s not close to me. I just did a record with A$AP Ferg. Sat right there, wrote my verse right there.”
The industry veteran continued, “I’ve never had anyone ever question my pen.”

(AllHipHop News) Actor Terrence Howard has trimmed 40 pounds off his figure after his “Empire” co-star Taraji P. Henson repeatedly teased him about his weight.
The 48-year-old has been showing off a more slender look in recent months, and he admits it was a little tough love from his TV ex-wife which inspired him to rethink his lifestyle choices.
“Taraji was making so much fun of me at work about me gaining weight,” he explained on U.S. talk show “The View.” “She was like, ‘Do you really wanna look like this for the rest of your career? Is this how you wanna look, Terrence? C’mon.’ So every day she would tug at me until I got it right.”
Terrence set about overhauling his diet and hiring trainer-to-the-stars Darrell Foster to help him reach his new fitness goals.
“No carbs, no salt, no sugar,” he revealed of his strict new health rules. “I was working out with this guy, Darrell Foster – he trained Will Smith – a really beautiful trainer… (and I was doing) five miles in the morning every day, and working out in the afternoon.”
The actor insists it didn’t take too long for him to adapt to his new routine: “You can do it like this: walk a quarter mile, run a quarter mile…,” Terrence said, adding of his reduced salt intake, “After a week, you don’t even miss the salt; you can taste the salt in everything.”
And Terrence has plenty of reasons to continue with his health journey, including his wife Mira Pak and their two young sons, Qirin and Hero.
Heaping praise on Mira for standing by him through good times and bad, he shared, “It’s not when you’re at your highest point that someone shows you the appreciation; my wife came around at a time when no one was really dealing with me, and picked me up and polished me up… and it’s been the greatest blessing of my life.”
They managed to keep the split quiet until the actor’s marital status was brought up in the summer of 2015 as part of his court battle with ex-wife Michelle Ghent over their pricey divorce settlement.
Terrence also has three older children from his first marriage to Lori McCommas.
(AllHipHop News) During his 2016 SNL hosting gig, Dave Chappelle asked viewers to give the then newly elected president a chance.
After weeks of controversies and scandals, Donald Trump’s approval rating currently sits at 36% and Chappelle has changed his mind on the POTUS.
Morning Joe contributor Willie Geist attended the Robin Hood benefit in New York City where Chappelle performed.
According to the MSNBC on-air personality, Chappelle spoke about the president at the event.
“Dave Chappelle tonight in NY on his November SNL monologue: ‘I was the first guy on TV to say “Give Trump a chance.” I f***ed up. Sorry,” tweeted Geist.
Last November, Chappelle made it clear he did not back Trump during the election.
“I’m not a Trump supporter,” stated the comedic legend.
Chappelle also took issue with media outlets for publishing articles that misquoted him saying he was backing the Republican candidate.
The original source for that story was The Observer, a publication run by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
