Amber Rose is the queen of speaking her mind. If you follow her on social media, then you should have seen her latest beauty mark-a face tattoo.
The mom-of-two Rose inked her forehead with both of her son’s names. Everyone shared their opinion on the matter saying she “ruined” her face.
Muva responded to her critics by posting a quick comment to her Instagram. She calls out those who say she is “too pretty” to have a tattoo on her face saying even if they thought she was ugly, they would still lie to her or tell her that she is ugly.
In other words, we can basically keep our opinions to ourselves, because she simply does not care. Rose is proud of her tattoo and shows it off (which is inevitable) anytime she can.
(AllHipHop News) Ever since Colin Kaepernick began taking a knee in 2016 during the playing of the national anthem as a form of protest against racial injustice in America, both supporters and critics have wanted to know more about the former NFL quarterback’s motivations. Kaepernick is set to reveal some of the inspirations for his culture-shifting demonstration in an upcoming book.
The California-raised activist’s memoir will detail the life experiences that led him to risk his career as a professional football star by taking silent action on the field before games. His own company, Kaepernick Publishing, will release the book in print and e-book format with Audible exclusively releasing the audio version.
“My protest was the culmination of years of thought and experiences, of learning and unlearning. I want to tell the story of my evolution, and the events that led me to protest systemic oppression, in hopes that it will inspire others to rise in action,” says Kaepernick.
He continues, “I am excited that through this groundbreaking partnership between Kaepernick Publishing and Audible, we can elevate Black and Brown voices who can empower future generations.”
Kaepernick Publishing entered into a multi-project deal with Audible to create original audio projects. Those releases will focus on amplifying notable authors, creators, and other influential figures.
“Throughout our history, Audible has been proud to connect its millions of listeners with a wide spectrum of important voices and powerful stories. In this recording, Colin Kaepernick takes listeners through the pivotal moments and experiences that inspired a national debate and cultural movement,” states Rachel Ghiazza, SVP Content Acquisition and Development for Audible.
Ghiazza adds, “We are thrilled to embark on this groundbreaking creative venture with Kaepernick Publishing in which together we can elevate stories and perspectives that need to be heard.”
Kaepernick Publishing was founded in 2019. Colin Kaepernick’s memoir, which is scheduled for a 2020 release, is being published in partnership with Melcher Media with distribution by Ingram Brand’s Two Rivers Distribution.
(AllHipHop News) At one point, both #IStandWithSnoop and #IStandWithGayle were trending on Twitter. Maybe both sides of the online argument will now end their battle since Snoop Dogg offered an apology to Gayle King.
The conflict started over King’s interview with Lisa Leslie which included the CBS This Morning host repeatedly questioning Leslie about Kobe Bryant’s dismissed sexual assault case from 2004. Snoop then slammed King for what he saw as her constantly attacking Black men and disrespecting the recently deceased NBA great. He also called King a “funky dog-head b*tch.”
After receiving backlash for his comments, Snoop returned to Instagram to issue a public apology to King. The Hip Hop legend acknowledged his grief over Bryant’s death caused him to criticize King in a “derogatory manner.” In addition, he deleted his original IG message directed at the veteran journalist.
“I was raised way better than that,” said Snoop. “So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful.”
The 48-year-old entertainer added, “I didn’t mean for it to be like that. I was just expressing myself for a friend that wasn’t here to defend himself. A lot of people look up to me and they love me and they appreciate me, so I want to let them know that anytime you mess up, it’s okay to fix it, it’s okay to man up and say that you’re wrong.”
He wrote in the IG video’s caption, “Had a talk with my momma thank u mamma 2 wrongs don’t make it right time to heal @gayleking Peace ☮️ n love Praying for u and your family as well as Vanessa and the kids ✨ .”
Snoop also offered to speak privately with King. For her part, Gayle King addressed being “mortified,” “embarrassed,” and “very angry” over the way the Lisa Leslie interview was presented on social media by the CBS network.
In a February 6 Instagram video, she stated, “I have been with Kobe Bryant on many social occasions. He was very kind and very warm to me. I felt that we had a friendly relationship. I too am mourning his loss just like everybody else. I still am shocked by it… The last thing I would want to do is to disparage him at this particular time. I hope people understand that.”
(AllHipHop News) Angela Yee was once the manager of Jay Electronica, and she still regularly speaks to the New Orleans native. So Yee is a very reliable source for info about the enigmatic emcee.
This morning, The Breakfast Club radio personality told her audience that Jay Electronica’s long-delayed debut album (tentatively titled A Written Testimony) is actually on the way. Apparently, Yee has already heard the project.
“There’s a lot of information that I could give, but I don’t like doing that because he’s such a private person. But there’s a lot of activities planned. There’s an album release date already in March,” stated Yee. “Yes, Jay-Z is on much of the album.”
She continued, “[Jay Electronica] addresses all the non-believers immediately in the first couple of bars. And it sounds amazing. He already has some big things planned for the day that the album comes out.”
Last week, Electronica got the Hip Hop world buzzing about a new collection of tunes after sending out a series of tweets announcing he recorded an album “over 40 days and 40 nights.” The “Shiny Suit Theory” rapper also posted a quote that read, “…my debut album featuring Hov man this is highway robbery.” Jay-Z liked Jay E’s album announcement tweets.
(AllHipHop News) “Sober and faithful” – that is how Royce Da 5’9″ describes his current life situation. That was not always the case.
The Detroit-based emcee sat down with DJ Smallz to talk about his journey to self-restraint. He made the difficult turn from alcoholism to sobriety eight years ago.
“I just decided to stop. I made a phone call to a few people,” explained Royce. “I’ve been working the steps ever since. Not even the steps. I’ve been exercising my right, one day at a time, to never go anywhere near that sh*t again. And I don’t miss it.”
The Allegory album creator added, “[Alcoholism and infidelity] go hand and hand, but I can’t just blame alcohol. That’s not fair. The alcohol brings on bad decision making… It’s still wrong. If I had to go in front of a judge, I wouldn’t expect leniency. But not drinking makes it easy. It’s no problem. I’m still attracted to women. I still love Rihanna, but I’m disciplined.”
(AllHipHop News) Pop singer Camila Cabello released the music video for her “My Oh My” single on Wednesday. Hip Hop hitmaker DaBaby is a guest feature on the track, and he shows up in the MV.
Legendary director Dave Meyers was behind the camera for the mostly black-and-white visuals. “My Oh My” crossed the 2.5 million view mark on YouTube in under 15 hours and quickly became a top trending video on the platform.
The song appears on Cabello’s Romance album which came out in late 2019. So far, “My Oh My” has peaked at #31 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 after 9 weeks on the chart.
Then you have the Instagram posts from Knight’s son claiming he was alive (a statement he later retracted).
Some even say that as recently as last year, there was a Tupac sighting in South Africa.
Conspiracy theories like these and more are the foundation of a new film, “2Pac: The Great Escape From UMC,” by Rick Boss.
According to ABC 13’s KTNV, Boss is clear that he has answers to what happened to one of Hip-Hop’s most beloved characters, and how he wound up in Mexico.
Son… Pac is in New Mexico.
He says, “This movie is about Tupac actually escaping University Medical Center here in Vegas and relocating to New Mexico and getting protection from the Navajo tribe.”
According to the Los Angeles filmmaker, Tupac knew in advance that someone wanted to s#### him and so being the quick thinker that he was, he planted a body double in Knight’s BMW that night.
After which he copped a helicopter to the Navajo tribal land in New Mexico.
You are probably wondering, how does Boss know?
He tells the press that the Shakur family included him in on this secret, and now he is sharing this with all of us.
“You can write a fiction story, but this is not fiction,” Rick Boss alleges. “This is facts through certain people I know.”
(AllHipHop News) The City of San Diego is going to cough up some big money for wrongfully arresting and incarcerating two local men for seven months under the city’s uber aggressive gang law.
One of the men knocked was California rapper, Brandon “Tiny Doo” Duncan.
Perhaps this comes too late on the city’s part, leaving the San Diego City Council with the “pleasure” of signing off on a $1.475 million settlement to be split between the rapper and his associate.
The two men were ultimately cleared of all charges and will each receive $737,500.
KPBS stated that “Under a 2000 state law, it is a felony to promote, assist or benefit criminal gang activity.”
Those who agree with the law believe like New York’s “Stop and Frisk” policy, it helped to squelch violence in their community. Opponents of this law believe that it is unconstitutional and that it unfairly targets young color.
This is how the emcee got caught out there. His lyrics in his songs, social media posts and personal tattoos made him appear to connect him to the crimes, though a judge in 2015 said that was not enough to convict him and thus all charges were dismissed.
AllHipHop.com reported that the charges were dismissed and when the initial lawsuit was filed.

Kodak Black, real name Bill K. Kapri, filed his appeal with the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals today (February 12th), via his attorney Bradford Cohen.
Cohen is asking for several months to be cut off of Kodak’s sentence because his prior felony convictions should not have been considered when he received his sentence.
According to Kodak’s argument, the trial court erred in determining he was a convicted felon for the purpose of calculating his sentence.
“The Judge overruled the Appellant’s objections to the guideline calculation and thus was assessed two more points for being a convicted felon, in essence, which the Appellant believed was error…” Bradford Cohen explained.
Kodak Black, real name Bill K. Kapri, has been imprisoned since May of 2019 when he was arrested shortly before the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami.
Kodak eventually said he was being targeted by abuse from the correctional officers and other inmates inside of the prison because he’s a famous rapper.
However, will this king of razzamatazz be able to translate this same alchemy to the league’s worse franchise, the New York Knicks?
Perhaps, miracles do happen.
But first, he has to stop speaking like a newly crowned King Midas and play his position (per his admission) as part of the team.
Tuesday, Stoute went on ESPN’s First Take to talk about his new role at the Knicks organization.
“The biggest thing is getting free agents and players to know this is a place to show up, this is where they should be,” Stoute noted. “I think that narrative has been lost. Players haven’t come, a free agent hasn’t come. And if we can solve that problem, which I know we will, we have a great chance. We’re the most iconic team in the league by far.”
He further said, “There had to be a change in (firing team president Steve Mills). That change will bring a new coach and new coaches that are going to help develop these younger players.”
Yup… he said more, “And they got some young players — you see RJ Barrett, Mitch Robinson. They got something to work with. And getting a coach in there and ultimately getting a coach and a coaching staff that’s going to help develop a team. That’s what I expect to happen so that we can actually get to what you expect from a New York team.”
Immediately after the interview hit the air, The New York Knicks issued a statement.
“Any decisions regarding the operations of the team will be made by the new President of the New York Knicks,” the team said.
Steve Stoute also made a statement back-peddling over his comments on the cable show, saying: “in my excitement to defend the Knicks on live TV today, I inadvertently insinuated about Knicks personnel.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine Associate Gets 7 Years For Shooting Inside Barclays Center
(AllHipHop News) The gunman who shot up the Barclays Center on behalf of Tekashi 6ix9ine learned his fate today when he was formally sentenced.
Fuguan Lovick aka “Fu Banga,” was hit with an 85 month (a little over 7 years) prison sentence for firing off inside of the Barclays Center during an April 2018 boxing match between Adrien Broner and Jessie Vargas.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, was facing over 40 years in prison.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s decision to cooperate with the Feds helped secure 10 guilty pleas, two convictions and as a result, he was sentenced to just two years in prison.
(AllHipHop News) A lawyer suing Damon Dash took a loss in court this week when a judge declined to grant a default judgment in a battle over ownership of the movie “Dear Frank/The List.”
They asked Judge Lehrburger to grant a judgment in their favor, and dismiss Damon’s counterclaims that he was promised equity in the movie.
According to Judge Lehrburger, Damon may have repeatedly obstructed the discovery process, but it would be too early to grant a judgment in favor of Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures.
“Given the Second Circuit’s preference for determining cases on the merits, and in the interest of applying sanctions proportionately, the Court does not deem it appropriate at this juncture to impose terminating sanctions,” Judge Lehrburger wrote. “Likewise, awarding an adverse inference (or multiple adverse inferences) is premature. Accordingly, Plaintiffs’ application is denied without prejudice.”
Damon Dash is not in the clear, by a longshot.
Damon has already been sanctioned for his ongoing attacks on Christopher Brown which started after a wild deposition in November of 2019, when the police were called to the law offices of Shukat Arrow Hafer Weber & Herbsman, LLP in Manhattan.
If Brown and Webber’s attempt to wrestle control of the film from Damon is ultimately denied, a new deposition will have to take place, setting the stage for another explosive showdown between the rap boss and Christopher Brown.
However, this time around the parties will have to meet at the Federal courthouse in Brooklyn.
In related news, Judge Lehrburger held Damon Dash in contempt of court for refusing to take down a series of social media posts claiming ownership of the movie from September of 2017.
In addition to the battle over “Dear Frank/The List,” Christopher Brown is suing Damon Dash in a fight for the copyrights to a movie called “Mafietta.”
(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj is winning her own weightloss challenge, revealing she is 20 pounds away from her goal.
In a candid new reveal on her Queen Radio show, the “Anaconda” hitmaker admitted she has been delaying her diet for some time because she didn’t think she had what it took to stick with the plan.
The 37-year-old said, “I was trying to do this diet and I kept putting it off. I didn’t think I could have the discipline in what I ate. Once my mind was committed to it, my body committed to it.
The dieting success has given Nicki a new lease of life, and she added, “This has been one of my favorite years so far. I realized I unlocked the lock. I realized that success starts inside you, it doesn’t start with success. Success doesn’t start with success, meaning I don’t have to be the number one female rapper. I have to know I can be the number one female rapper.”
Greenberg also denied R. Kelly was a flight risk, due to his worldwide fame.
R. Kelly’s lawyer also noted the singer’s first trial for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old and then urinating on the teen in 2002.
“Mr. Kelly never missed a single court date, from 2002 to 2008, on his previous case. The court did not consider that Mr. Kelly appeared for each and every day of his trial and was present when the jury’s verdict was read. The court never considered that Mr. Kelly has been aware of these federal investigations and yet did not abscond,” Steven Greenberg argued.
Instead of being imprisoned, Steven Greenberg is asking the judge to confine R. Kelly to his home with electronic monitoring.
Greenberg also said R. Kelly would limit his access to the internet and of course, have no contact with minors.
(AllHipHop News) Migos have been hinting at the release of a new album for several months. Last July, Quavo stated that a project from the group would arrive at the top of 2020. Last month, Offset informed his Instagram followers that Culture III would be the last chapter in the series.
It appears the trio is finally ready to begin the rollout for their next official studio LP. Both Quavo and Offset uploaded the cover art for a song titled “GNF (Give No Fxk)” on Tuesday night.
“G N F Friday! @thuggerthugger1 @travisscott Drop A if U Ready!” wrote Quavo on IG. “GNF FRIDAY…. ,” posted Offset. “GNF” features fellow Atlanta rhymer Young Thug and Houston-raised rapper Travis Scott. The single is scheduled to drop on Friday, February 14.
The original Grammy-nominated Culture album came out on January 27, 2017. The sequel, Culture II, dropped on January 26, 2018. Both projects peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 and havespent over 100 weeks on the chart.
That matchup will be followed by Carol City native Denzel Curry versus DMV representative Rico Nasty at San Francisco’s Fort Mason on March 20. Denzel and Rico will go head-to-head in a five-round lyrical contest inside a wrestling ring.
Both rappers have more in common than just the forthcoming Zeltron World Wide event. Denzel Curry recently released the Unlocked EP with record producer Kenny Beats who also dropped Anger Management with Rico Nastyin 2019.
Previously, Curry partnered with Red Bull to battle Flatbush Zombies in Miami in 2018. The next bout was between Denzel Curry and Joey Bada$$ during the 2019 Red Bull Music Festival Atlanta. Zeltron World Wide is also expected to hit New York City this year.
(AllHipHop News) Remy Ma’s diss track “Shether” was directed mostly at Nicki Minaj, but Foxy Brown caught a stray on the record too. Rem rapped on the song, “Talking sh*t about me to a deaf b*tch. And usually, I have sympathy for the impaired, but not when you hard of hearing from untreated gonorrhea.”
During an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Remy was asked about working with other female rappers on her forthcoming studio album. The State of the Culture co-host made it clear Fox Boogie will not be on the project.
“I’m sorry I can’t. I can’t, Wendy,” responded Rem when the host suggested that she collaborate with Foxy Brown. “I love Kim. Me and Kim actually did a record together before I had the baby. We did ‘Wake Me Up’ together. We shot the video.” Williams then asked Remy if she was currently cool with Foxy. The Love & Hip Hop: New York star responded, “No.”
She added, “I really don’t have any issues with any of the women. Right now is a great space for women in Hip Hop in general. The problem is, I think, is the other people on the outside that’s like, ‘Oh, don’t work with her because you’re going to get her hot. Or don’t work with her because you don’t need her.’ It’s never really the women because whenever I see any them – from when I met the City Girls, they were super cool. I talk to Cardi [B] all the time… but when it comes to working together, it’s other people that have their hands in it that’s saying, ‘Don’t help her.’ I never have a problem with helping someone. I love working with other women.”
