(AllHipHop News) Akon will make his debut at Midem in Cannes, France this year as the keynote speaker.
During his career, Akon has worked with Michael Jackson, Eminem, Whitney Houston, Lil Wayne Snoop Dogg and others.
Last year the singer/entrepreneur issued six new albums this year through his Akonic Label Group which is based in Senegal and the United States.
Each album showcased Akon’s diversity and his international appeal, in genres like Latin (El Negreeto) Afrobeat (Akonda) and R&B/hip-hop (x).
Akon also unveiled plans for his own “cryptocity,” in Senegal, which will also run on renewable energy and will be finished in the next 10 years.
“I want to be able to open up the diversity with different artists from different cultures and parts of the world….What drives me the most is to do things people think are impossible or deem difficult,” Akon said. “This will be my first time at Midem. I am looking forward to being in a space with individuals who are all looking to push the music and entertainment industry forward.”
Midem is one of the world’s largest music business conferences.
Each year, tens of thousands of music industry executives descend upon Cannes, to take part in four days worth of conferences, networking, and performances.
This year’s Midem conference takes place from June 2nd to June 5th.

Luckily for Drake, his hometown team walked away from the game as winners leading with 118 to 101 on Friday, February 21st.
During some sideline commentary with x, The Toronto rapper joked about several things including Quavo and Justin Bieber, whom he played against in a basketball game earlier this month.
“We don’t wanna talk about scrubs on the air though, you know what I mean? Quavo and Bieber. How dare you?” said the artist as he Salsa danced courtside.
He also Salsa danced after the Raptors Fred VanVleet scored a three-pointer.
“I want everybody to just take in the fact that, like, Fred VanVleet’s Turks and Caicos tan is just on ten million tonight,” said Drake. “That boy’s looking like Frederico.”
Drake’s comedic antics didn’t stop there, in fact, they went on all night.
At one point he even called out some of the Raptors opponents. He stated that teams from the eastern conference that come into the Scotiabank Arena will get “shook.”
“I hope all you boys are at home watching this knowing when you come in this building you guys are some little babies,” he said.
(AllHipHop Rumors) It is very hard for me to defend Diddy in light of what Mase has posted on his social media. Remember Mase was one of Diddy’s main artists on Bad Boy Records, particularly after B.I.G. died. He was the pop star that helped propel Diddy to where he is today – a near-billionaire!
So, now Mase wants his publishing and is kicking up a whole bunch of dust for his former label head, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Is there another side? Before I say that we have to say that a lot of artists have complained about Diddy for years. Just about all of them have had something to say. The Lox used to talk about “Raping You Records” in relationship to Bad Boy Records. The list goes on and on. Mase is a unique one though.
Here is what I am hearing about the relationship between Diddy and Mase is complex. The ending…why did Mase leave the rap game? Over 20 years ago – on April 20, 199- Mason Betha left the rap game. “I gotta do what make me happy. A lot of people gonna say I’m crazy, I’m leaving money behind and a lot of things but it’s just how I feel in my heart. Once God puts something in your heart–you know, God talks to everyone different,” Mase said.
Now, I always was told that there was a God-clause in Mase’s contract where he could leave and maintain his riches from Bad Boy if he left for religious reasons. Mase would go on to some success as a preacher under Creflo Dollar. Apparently, Tia and Tamara Mowry got him to turn to God. Mase left the game for about 5 years before coming back. It is my understanding that he “took” Diddy for millions with he left to be a preacher.
So, Diddy MAY feel that he is owed money and the only way to get back what he is owed is to retain ownership of his publishing. Remember that is the deal that Mase and his lawyer negotiated many years ago in the 90s. He may not have gotten a fair deal but he certainly had better times than I will ever experience, to be reallllllly real.
Did Mase swindle Diddy when he left and then offer to buy back his publishing essentially on a discount (compared to what he got away with)? That is the way the source is describing it. If you get away with $6 and offer back $2….don’t expect the dude to take that deal. Hey, I can’t call it, b. I would certainly be able to live off the money Mase had.
Eric Holder reportedly used two handguns at once in both hands, to shoot the rapper. “Mr. Holder was firing with two different handguns, trading between his right and his left hand,” prosecutor John McKinney told the grand jury.

“Cheaters,” which has been on the air for over 15 years, has been hosted by personas like Tommy Habeeb, Joey Greco, and Clark James Gable.
“Who better to help you catch a cheater than Peter? Don’t ask no questions just tune the f##k in,” Peter Gunz said.

Nicki is getting Meghan Trainor some attention with the banging new single “Nice To Meet Ya,” which is taken from the singer’s third album, Treat Myself.
The new visuals are nod to the 1988 flick “Working Girl,” one of Meghan Trainor’s favorite films.
The first single from the Ignatius is titled “Kisses To The Sky,” as a tribute to his first three solo albums Kiss the Game Goodbye (2001),Kiss Of Death (2004), and The Last Kiss (2009).

According to the cops, rapper Psyco Sid was busted yesterday morning around 4:00 a.m. when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
The rapper, real name Sydney Wiley, was taken into custody because he had an open warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
When the cops searched his car, they found a gallon of liquid codeine, a handgun and a half-pound of marijuana.
Police are planning on filing charges against Psyco Sid once they test the cache of drugs found in his vehicle.
(AllHipHop News) Superstar producer DJ Khaled will kick off a new partnership with the Hard Rock brand for a new residency at two of their flagship locations.
Khaled will debut as the resident DJ at DAER Nightclub in Hollywood, Florida after the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49’ers during Super Bowl LIV on Sunday (February 2nd) at the Hard Rock Stadium.
“Kicking off my residency at the new DAER Nightclub in South Florida for the Big Game Weekend is going to be epic, and I look forward to making 2020 with Hard Rock an unforgettable year.”
DJ Khaled will also make seven more appearances, and hold down hosting duties for spot dates at Daer in Atlantic City in 2020 as part of his deal with Hard Rock.
The deal was executed by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which handles the careers of dozens of superstar artists, including Rihanna, Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, and Shakira, who will perform during this year’s Super Bowl halftime show with Jennifer Lopez.
“As a DJ first and foremost, producer, mogul, and entrepreneur – DJ Khaled has always been about the music and this partnership gives him another opportunity to connect with his fans,” said Michael Yormark, President of Roc Nation Sports International/Co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified.
On Saturday, (February 1st), DJ Martin Garrix will spin at DAER Dayclub on, while Lil Jon will host during the day, on Sunday, February 2nd, followed by DJ Khaled.

The “Truth Hurts” hitmaker took the stage at the SiriusXM & Pandora Opening Drive Super Concert Series at The Fillmore Miami Beach in Florida, where she told the crowd, “I can’t be at the largest sporting event of the year without mentioning the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna.”
“We can’t be at this event and not think of them in our hearts and hold them up and honor them as sports fans, as music fans, as human beings.”
The Los Angeles Lakers player died alongside his teenage daughter Gianna and seven other victims in a helicopter crash on Sunday – hours before Lizzo took the stage and scooped three prizes at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
“We have an effect on each other,” the “Good As Hell” singer added. “We have to be good to each other. We don’t know what tomorrow holds. We don’t know if tomorrow’s promised. So, I want you all to just really dig down deep inside and be good to yourself, be good to your family.”

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Azriel Clary has accused the disgraced singer of “blackmailing” his sexual assault victims into keeping quiet.
However, after reuniting with her estranged family earlier this month, she spoke out against R. Kelly in an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper, alleging he “blackmailed his hundreds of victims into silence”.
“I think that there’s hundreds of victims out there. Robert has his live-in girlfriends, he has girlfriends in every city. He has flings in every city,” she said. “For the most part, he blackmails everyone,’ she continued. ‘He makes everyone do very degrading stuff, whether on film or writing it down, he makes them sign it.”
Azriel met the disgraced musician after his concert in Orlando, Florida in 2015, when the then-17-year-old was approached by his handler and given his number.
Sharing her knowledge of Kelly’s alleged manipulation, she added: “He has letters of people saying that they’ve stolen from him. He has letters from people saying that they’ve been molested or touched by their parents or their brothers or a family member.”
A lawyer for R. Kelly has said Azriel’s allegations are untrue.

According to court documents, Cleopatra Bernard and Jenesis Sanchez have ended their legal battle over little Gekyume Onfroy, who was born following his father’s murder.
XXX’s mom, Bernard, and his girlfriend were on good terms following his death in 2018, but their friendship ended after she gave birth in January 2019, and filed documents requesting the rapper’s DNA sample from the medical examiner.
Cleopatra fought the request but lost.
Jenesis also claimed she and XXX lived together and had “sexual relations” and although no one contested he was the baby’s father, she wanted the DNA to prove it.
All details of the settlement between Bernard and Sanchez are confidential.
