SIGNS: Radical Right Republicans Fight To End America As A Democracy

Shout out to Jack Posobiec, a well-known radical on the extremely far Right.

This man known for his conspiracy theories and undying fidelity for Trump, made headlines this week with his remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He flat-out said he wanted to overthrow democracy.

Speaking during a panel hosted by Steve Bannon, Posobiec’s comments,”Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely. We didn’t get all the way there on January 6, but we will endeavor to get rid of it and replace it with this right here.”

Now some people tried to tell me this was just a tongue-in-cheek statement, while others expressed concern or staunch criticism. Posobiec returned fire, reacting with sarcasm and dismissiveness. Just like a MAGAT. Donald Trump is expected to speak soon.

Check out the vid and tell me what you think?

Here is a bit more for you to gnaw on.

The NFAC, Grand Master Jay, Ahmaud Arbery & The Silent, Sinister Racism Of Erasure

“I had a powerful presence on social media, but I came into the real world and put boots on the ground. I became a real person. And a lot of these people are not willing to put in that type of work.”

– Grand Master Jay to Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur

Grand Master Jay, already known for his activism and leadership within the Black community, took a dramatic turn in the aftermath of Ahmaud Arbery’s death. Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, was jogging in Brunswick, Georgia when he was hunted and fatally shot by Gregory McMichael and his son Travis McMichael. The McMichaels claimed they believed Arbery was a suspect in recent break-ins and were attempting a citizen’s arrest. This incident, occurring on February 23, gained national attention and outrage, especially after a video of the murder was released to the public.

Grand Master Jay, real name Dr. John Fitzgerald Johnson, was one of the very first people on the ground in Brunswick after the murder of Arbery. He immediately formed the NFAC (Not F**kin’ Around Coalition) in response to the modern-day lynching. The group, comprised of Black military veterans and former U.S. military personnel, was not only a reply to the Georgia incident. It was a stern response to the killing of unarmed African Americans by police or wanna-be vigilantes like George Zimmerman and the McMichaels.

Immediately after Arbery’s killing, I interviewed Grand Master Jay, who no longer helms the organization. He had not even taken his mask off. That was only three years ago, in 2020. The nation was a hotbed of racial strife and was still dealing with a global pandemic. At that point, the NFAC’s formation emphasized the group’s commitment to self-defense and protecting Black communities. He stressed that state-sanctioned violence was as American as stars and stripes. In 2024, everything has changed.

Today is the fourth anniversary of Ahmaud Arbery’s disgusting, shameful murder by three cowards (the driver included). Not only are villains The McMichaels and driver William “Roddie” Bryan in prison, but so is Grand Master Jay. He has a lot to say about the current state of affairs as well as the slow, seemingly deliberate erasure of his then-revolutionary actions and more about the condition of Black leadership. Here is an edited transcript of the conversation we had.

AllHipHop: Okay, great. I wanted to mention something. My barber, his name is Skilz, he mentioned you last time I got my hair cut without my prompting. He asked me how you were doing. So I thought that would make you feel a little bit about that there are people out there.

Grandmaster Jay: I know for a fact that there are people out there who are doing what they’re supposed to do. What I’m saying is, it’s amazing to me that some of the books that I’ve had that have made it to me, because I get a lot of books. There’s a book called “The Second,” where they talk about the Second Amendment Movement in the United States in the last 5 or 10 years. There’s a lot of books that I’ve read where they write about the summer of 2020 and they talk about all of the high-profile cases like Elijah McClain, your [inaudible], they talk about Emanuel Nine [This refers to the Charleston Church Massacre, an anti-Black mass shooting in Charleston, SC on June 17, 2015]. They’ll talk about these things, but they purposely skip over certain facts. I’m like, “What is going on here?” That’s what I’m talking about.

Grandmaster Jay: When I watched the special that CNN did, where they looked back on the summer of after the quarantine and they showed all of these protests and they showed all of this stuff and they even show some of the footage, but they gloss over it.

The Plight Of Grand Master Jay Is Now Both Medical & Political

And I’m going like, “What are you all doing? Are you all trying to put America to sleep? Do you all not want them to realize that history repeats itself? Is there a reason?” I told you, in Michael Eric Dyson’s book, Long Time Coming, he actually goes on to make a quote that I thought was very interesting because he talks about us but he talks about us in the context of… Matter of fact, the quote is, “During the Black Lives Matter Movement in 2020, a new pro-gun, a Black self-defense militia, the Not Effing Around Coalition emerged. Team members decked out in military [paraphernalia] and supporting semi-automatic weapons agitated many white folk while drawing greater acclaim in some Black circles because of their attendance, their protests.” Okay, so we know that we hit on some points that were well received, but where is that in the course of the discussion of the aftermath of what has happened? Like you said, “Look at where America is today.”

Grandmaster Jay: Look at everything that’s crazy that’s going on. Y’all got administrative amnesia. What is it going to take for y’all to realize that you can’t ignore history? History is going to be told either by you all or when I come home to write the book. One way or the other, you’re going to have to deal with the truth. That is almost as if you all were afraid to admit what has happened or become so complacent that you just accept things that are just the way it is.

Grandmaster Jay: When I hear about brothers… You talk about Skilz and guys like that, I know there are guys out there that miss me ’cause I get letters. I get letters. That’s something you didn’t ask me about. I get tons of letters. As a matter of fact, I get more mail than anybody. Daily. Some people I know, some people I don’t. Cards, pictures, well wishes, commissary, articles, even people trying to help out legally. So, it’s not like they’re ignoring me. It’s just like I said, in the course of the discussion of where we are today, it just disturbed me by those who are out on the forefront of the discussion who act like nothing’s happened since Malcolm X.

Grandmaster Jay: Listen, the building brick of any community is the family. And until we start to rebuild the family, you’re not going to rebuild any communities. That’s what makes… Family is the most powerful element of a community. And so we got to start right there. People act like I fell out of love with the Black race. I love the Black race, but I also love humanity. And humanity is based on family. We have to reestablish our own identity and stop letting other people define us. So, my advice is, y’all got to get together, get around the table, stop having all these meaningless conversations. Come out with a roadmap for three to five years, break down those areas, politics, finance, culture, education, infrastructure, farming, food, the whole nine yards, do for self but also learn to work along with other groups so that everybody got something to bring to the table right now. What are you bringing to the table as a people?

And matter of fact, when somebody say, “Well, what are you bringing to the table?”…tell them “I’m the table. What you talking about?”

AllHipHop: Technology seems to play a big role in where we are right now as well. The social media apps and other things, other platforms. The phone even has, seems to me, derailed us. I could be wrong, but I think even our leaders “Are chasing likes and views.” And when I say-

Grandmaster Jay: You have to remember something, Chuck, I was light years ahead of everybody on social media, phone, and technology, mostly because of what I do in my civilian world. But at the end of the day, I believe that you’re right. I think people are now getting caught up in a cyber world that’s not the real world without realizing that that too is a construct to control you.

AllHipHop: Mm-mmm.

Grandmaster Jay: Okay, information is power, and power is knowledge, but at the end of the day, the wrong information will have you making the wrong decisions and rob you of your power. I don’t believe that people realize just like what I used to do. Yeah, I had a powerful presence on social media, but I came into the real world and put boots on the ground. I became a real person. And a lot of these people are not willing to put in that type of work.

The rising generations born into this technology don’t know how to socialize with people anymore. Everything they do is electronic. They don’t have those skills anymore. You have got to bring that back. What is it going to take a moratorium on social media, a moratorium on phones? You can’t. That’s what our society is now built on. Eat, sleep, and breathe. That’s why one of the books that I told you, the Hidden History of Big Brother in America, those systems are allowed because those systems collect information, and information is bought and sold to control.

And at the end of the day, I think that a lot of folks don’t realize that those are wonderful tools-that control you.

AllHipHop: Right.

Grandmaster Jay: And I showed everybody how to balance that and some people, and I made it look easy, but it wasn’t, was not a long shot. That’s why I got the attention of the US government because I was able to balance technology and reality into a mixture where we were getting results. And that’s something that as long as you just live in cyberspace, you’re harmless.

AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s true.

Grandmaster Jay: You can have 125,000 followers online, but how many will show up when you say, “I’m trying to raise funds for this, or trying to do something, a political drive or…” How many going to show up? Remember before we had this technology, you had to put your feet on the road, you had to knock on doors. The Jehovah’s Witness came over every Saturday morning and knocked on your door. There was no social media for Jehovah’s Witness.

Photographer Won’t Press Charges Against Kodak Black Over Jail Release Incident

Kodak Black avoided more legal problems following his release from jail. According to Miami’s ABC affiliate, photojournalist Bryan Murphy decided not to press charges against the rapper for pelting the photographer with a rock.

Earlier this week, Kodak threw rocks at a local news crew covering his jail release. One of the rocks struck Murphy in the ribs. Murphy filed an incident report with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

Kodak also threatened to punch a reporter after walking out of Broward County Jail on Wednesday (February 21). He spent more than two months behind bars following his December 2023 arrest.

The 26-year-old artist was initially accused of cocaine possession, but prosecutors charged him with oxycodone possession in January. His lawyer Bradford Cohen filed a motion to dismiss the charge, arguing that Kodak had a prescription for oxycodone. A judge granted Cohen’s request, throwing out the drug charge on February 9. Kodak remained in custody due to a probation violation.

Kodak finally secured his release by pleading guilty to failure to report police contact. A judge sentenced him to time served, allowing him to walk free on Wednesday.

The next day, Cohen criticized media outlets for focusing on negative stories about his client. Cohen believed Kodak’s charitable efforts were overlooked.

“I’m sure the mainstream won’t carry it,” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “TMZ will probably only run something negative. But we know how Kodak Black moves and what he’s been doing since day one. It’s a shame when people only want negativity on someone.”

According to Cohen, Kodak pledged to donate to the college fund of a slain police officer’s children. The officer was one of three first responders killed in a shooting in Minnesota on Sunday (February 18). The suspected shooter was found dead. A medical examiner determined he died by suicide.

Skilla Baby On A Mission To Buy Guns In Detroit – Here’s Why

Skilla Baby joined forces with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence in hopes of helping his hometown of Detroit. The Geffen Records artist teamed with the nonprofit organization and city officials to host a firearms buyback.

The event, which includes a “felon-friendly” job fair and more, is scheduled to take place at The Icon in Detroit on Saturday (February 24).

“This Saturday I partnered with Judge Yancey And council President Sheffield to do a Gun Buy Back / Job Fair/ Record Expungement,” Skilla Baby wrote on Instagram. “THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST ONE EITHER WE WILL TRY TO GET AS MANY GUNS OFF THE STREETS AND CLEAN AS MANY RECORDS AS POSSIBLE EVERY YEAR IF ITS UP TO ME…. DETROIT VS EVERYBODY. BIG THANK YOU TO JUDGE YANCEY AND COUNCIL PRESIDENT FOR SUPPORTING ME AND HELPING MAKE THIS COME TOGETHER meet us @ THE ICON this Saturday @marysheffield @repyancey.”

The Brady Center’s Hannah Jones praised Skilla Bay for getting involved in the organization’s efforts to stop gun violence.

“We know the power of joining forces with a city, with influencers, with these icons,” she told the Detroit Free Press. “That’s how we got together. But it started with his vision, and he knew, and his folks knew, that we focused on safe storage.”

Attendees will receive $100 for handguns and nonautomatic guns. They can get $200 for semiautomatic and automatic rifles.

Skilla Baby wanted to do the buyback because he was tired of losing people to gun violence. The event was the latest example of his efforts to help the people of Detroit.

“I know with my influence, I can urge people to clean their records, get jobs and get guns off the street,” he said. “In the future, I want to do gun safety classes, fun stuff like that.”

Record expungement applications for the buyback event are available here.

Ma$e Tells Wild Story Of His Ex-Business Manager Scamming Him & Other Rappers

Ma$e recalled his first business manager screwing him and several rappers out of their money on the February 23 episode of It Is What Is. The former Bad Boy Records artist did not identify the business manager but revealed the scam occurred after he signed with Diddy’s label.

“I remember when I first got a deal with Bad Boy Records, I think it was my first business manager, he ran off not just with my money, he ran off with everybody’s money,” Ma$e said. “So, we ain’t have no money to pay taxes. This n#### ran off with everybody’s money. We couldn’t find him … I don’t want to say nobody’s name, but it was a few rappers. More than a handful.”

Cam’ron confirmed his co-host’s story, sharing his recollections of what happened years ago. Ma$e recruited Cam and others to confront the business manager about the money issues, but the unnamed scammer quickly disappeared.

“This was like right when I started going crazy, so I had a few dollars,” Ma$e said. “And then when it came to pay, I was just like, ‘Yo, where’s all the money?’ … Like Killa said, I called Killa, I called a few n#####. We go down there. It was nobody in the office. I mean cleared out like Bruce Almighty when he was talking … to Morgan Freeman. It was nothing on the floor, yo.”

Ma$e told the story during a discussion about ex-NFL running back Adrian Peterson’s alleged financial struggles. The rapper-turned-sports talking head initially had no sympathy for handsomely paid athletes and entertainers going broke, but he changed his mind a bit after hearing more of Peterson’s alleged troubles. Earlier this week, Peterson claimed an estate sale company sold some of his trophies without his authorization. He threatened to take legal action and insisted he was “financially stable.”

Normani Talks Dealing With Her Parents’ Cancer Treatment While Recording Music

Normani prepares to release her debut album, tentatively titled Dopamine. Fans of the former Fifth Harmony member have been waiting six years for the R&B/pop performer’s first studio LP.

Before Dopamine drops later this year, Normani spoke with Who What Wear about her music career and personal life. It turns out those two areas unexpectedly overlapped after the Atlanta-born performer found out both her mother and father had cancer.

“F### all of this. This is bigger than the music. It’s bigger than what I’m trying to accomplish. This is life or death. All I wanted to do was be there for them,” the 27-year-old recording artist stated about dealing with her parents’ treatment.

In addition, Normani said, “As hard as it was for me to not be with them as much as I wanted to, ultimately, pushing through made the circumstances of the last few years feel a bit lighter for my parents.”

Normani rose to prominence as part of Fifth Harmony, along with Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui and Camila Cabello. The girl group released three albums. 2015’s Reflection and 2016’s 7/27 reached platinum status.

While the RCA-backed singer has yet to unleash an official solo album, Normani has worked with numerous high-profile acts since parting ways with Fifth Harmony in 2018. For example, “Love Lies” with Khalid became a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

She also made it into the Top 10 with the Sam Smith-assisted “Dancing with a Stranger” single. Plus, Cardi B provided a guest verse on “Wild Side” which peaked at No. 14. Normani’s 2019 solo effort “Motivation” earned nominations at the Soul Train Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.

SZA Drops 5-Track “Saturn” Music Bundle

SZA gifted her fans with new music. A special drop from the Top Dawg Entertainment-signed vocalist landed on DSPs today (February 23).

Five versions of “Saturn” came out as a bundle package. The tracklist contains the live rendition of the song first heard at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

In addition, listeners can hear sped-up, acapella and instrumental variations of the “Saturn” track. SZA, Carter Lang, Rob Bisel, Solomonophonic and Monsune wrote the main version.

SZA took home three golden gramophone trophies at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on February 4. Her 2022 studio LP, SOS, won Best Progressive R&B Album. She also scored victories in the Best R&B Song (“Snooze”) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Ghost In The Machine”) categories.

SOS dominated the Billboard 200 chart. SZA’s sophomore album spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the rankings in 2022 and 2023. It has remained on the Billboard 200 for 62 weeks. The Recording Industry Association of America certified SOS as 3x-platinum.

SZA also appeared twice on Drake’s 2023 album For All the Dogs. The TDE singer and the OVO Sound leader teamed up with Sexyy Red for the “Rich Baby Daddy” music video. Drake also tapped SZA for the chart-topping “Slime You Out” single.

Solange Admits Fumbling Katt Williams Feature On “A Seat At The Table” Album

Solange Knowles received widespread acclaim for her 2016 studio LP A Seat at the Table. However, the R&B singer still has one regret about that body of work.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Solange Knowles spoke about wanting to have stand-up comic Katt Williams appear on the A Seat at the Table album. She even admitted regretting the omission.

“I was supposed to work with Katt Williams on A Seat at the Table. I went to his show, went backstage to ask him. Honestly, I fumbled the ball. But he is singular,” Solange told the outlet.

Katt Williams broke the internet earlier this year with his headline-grabbing sitdown on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. The Friday After Next actor called out other comedians such as Kevin Hart and Rickey Smiley.

A Seat at the Table did feature Lil Wayne, Sampha, The Dream, BJ The Chicago Kid, Q-Tip, Kelly Rowland and Kelela. Additionally, Master P showed up on several interludes.

Solange’s A Seat at the Table single “Cranes in the Sky” won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance in 2017. Raphael Saadiq co-wrote that gold-certified ballad.

Kid Cudi Calls Out His Label For Album Drop Issues

Kid Cudi continues to be very active on social media. The Cleveland native uses X to interact with his fans. He also uses the platform to air out his grievances.

The Insano album by Kid Cudi arrived on January 12. A Nitro Mega version of the 2024 project came out today (February 23) but not without issues. Cudi addressed those problems on X.

“Hey fam, the label f##### up and didn’t start loading my album up in time, so it won’t be out at midnight,” Cudi tweeted around 10 pm ET. “I’m workin on this now in real time and my plan is that it comes out tonight just a bit later. I’m waitin on a time and ima keep y’all posted.”

The 40-year-old rapper/actor also added, “I’m thoroughly p#####, especially cuz I get this call just hours before it’s to drop. Such b#######, but I promise u this album is droppin tonight. So roll up, get a drink, binge a show, do something to pass the time, and then, WE RAGE. I love you.”

The WZRD member made headlines earlier this week by responding to a fan’s question about fellow rapper/actor Donald Glover. Cudi expressed no interest in working with Glover, the Atlanta-bred entertainer also known as Childish Gambino.

Dolly Parton’s Beyoncé Co-Sign Ignites Fury From Critics Of Bey’s New Country Music

Dolly Parton gave Beyoncé her flowers after “Texas Hold ‘Em” debuted atop the Hot Country chart this week.

“I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album,” the country music icon wrote on Instagram. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.”

Dolly also revealed she “can’t wait to hear the full album!”

Dolly Parton won’t have long to wait as Beyoncé revealed the country-themed RENAISSANCE act ii album arrives on March 29.

According to reports, Beyoncé became the first Black female recording artist to top the Hot Country Songs rankings.

Beyoncé has faced backlash following her first venture into the genre, with many refusing to recognize her music as “country.” “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider was slammed for comparing Beyonce to a dog in his criticism of her new songs.

A country music station swiftly reversed its decision to ban “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” after being accused of racism.

Dolly Parton Fans React To Beyoncé Praise

There was a mixed reaction from fans in the comment section of Dolly Parton’s Beyoncé post.

“A country album needs a country heart,” one response began. “Beyonce has voice by the ton but that girl does not have a country heart. Dolly girl you on the other hand have not only a country heart but probably more of it than is good for you.”

“That song is trash,” another person added. “Stop virtue signaling! I’m black and even I know that’s not good country music.”

However, many others declared the debate over now that Dolly Parton has given Beyoncé her seal of approval.

“If you are disagreeing with…checks notes, Dolly Parton, on what is country….maybe be more like Dolly,” a third person wrote.

Meanwhile, other fans want the two songstresses to join forces on a song: “Dolly Beyoncé collab maybe? Just a thought”

Nicki Minaj Invited Katt Williams On PF2 Tour Due To Low Ticket Sales Jess Hilarious Suggests

Jess Hilarious ruffled feathers among Nicki Minaj fans after suggesting Katt Williams could’ve been invited on the Pink Friday 2 Tour because ticket sales are low. Earlier this week, Minaj offered the comedian a “big bag” to join her on the road after recently adding Monica to the lineup.

Many questioned the inclusion of a comedian on the tour, and some speculated that Minaj was trying to boost ticket sales. Williams went insanely viral following his Club Shay Shay appearance.

The newly appointed co-host of The Breakfast Club shared her thoughts on the topic in an installment of Jess With The Mess: Uncut via Instagram.

“When the f### did Nicki and Katt Williams even have a f###ing relationship? To put him on your tour?” She questioned. “Usually, people do things like this when the tour is not selling. Maybe it isn’t. Now, that’s very expected these days because of the economy.”

She continued, “People put s### on layaway to buy RENAISSANCE tickets. The economy is in such a s### place right now, it’s totally expected to not sell out your f###ing tour.”

Jess also addressed the promotion surrounding the Pink Friday 2 tour. “No icon, no matter how big or small, is exempt from promotion,” she added. “You promoted that album, you did interviews, you popped out. You promoted ‘HISS.’”

“Can somebody tell Jess Delirious to stop speaking on Nicki ???” one fan wrote. “When nicki clock jess finally I dont wanna here it,” said a second Nicki Minaj fan.

Another person addressed the fake Live Nation flyer floating around online.

“ey loud country bumpkin. Since u wanna be loud and wrong , why don’t u report this,” they wrote. “U going to the depths while trying to get Nicki’s attention isn’t the way. Never found u to be funny and your energy stanks. U ain’t funny , u just got a Big ole loud mouth!!”

Elsewhere on the track, Lil Durk admits that a past Percocet addiction led to him having a pacemaker fitted.

“I was takin’ so many pills, I was so high, I really abused it/Started sellin’ Percs, I turned around and started to use it,” he said. “Had to get a pacemaker/My heart was skippin’ deuces.”

French Montana Drops “Mac & Cheese” Mixtape With Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Meek Mill & More

French Montana has finally dropped the fifth installment of his long-running mixtape series Mac & Cheese 5, nearly 15 years after birthing the original edition.

The “Unforgettable” hitmaker was initially set to drop last month (January 5), but French announced a delay in December while revealing a Lil Baby feature. He teased several other heavyweight guest appearances before dropping at midnight on Friday (February 23).

Mac & Cheese 5 includes a slew of artists, including two appearances from both Lil Wayne and Kanye West. The 21-track tape clocks in at exactly 60 minutes and also features Lil Durk, Meek Mil, JID, Westside Gunn, SAINt JHN, Buju Banton, Bryson Tiller and many more.

However, French Montana raised eyebrows by releasing six versions of Mac & Cheese. Alongside the original, fans can also listen to the acapella, sped-up, slowed-down, instrumental and the “Versions” variants, the latter of which is a compilation of the other five tapes and features 126 songs.

French Montana was trending on X (formerly Twitter) as fans shared their thoughts about dropping six versions of the same album.

“French Montana needs to be stopped,” one fan wrote. They also shared a screen recording showing dozens of tracks on the “Versions” Mac & Cheese tape.

Another fan shared a similar video, adding, “French Montana on everything I love u will be dealt with bro.”

“French Montana has released around 20,000 new versions of the songs from his new album Mac & Cheese 5,” one fan joked. “Kanye has so many French Montana songs on his page.”

JAY-Z Steps In After Damon Dash Ordered To Sell Roc-A-Fella Shares Over $832K Debt

Damon Dash may be forced to sell his share of Roc-A-Fella Records to satisfy an outstanding debt. Per court documents viewed by AllHipHop, the Hip-Hop mogul still owes $832,000 to film producer Josh Webber and Muddy Waters Pictures, who sued Dash in 2022. To satisfy the debt, Webber and his legal team are going after Dash’s label shares.

The discourse between Dash and Webber began in 2016 after Dash was fired as the director of the producer’s crime thriller, Dear Frank. Webber accused Dash of being unfit for the role, alleging in an Instagram post that he was verbally abusive to staff and often high on set.

Dash countered that Webber was “trying to take credit for a Black man’s work” and attempted to sell the film independently under the new title The List, which prompted Webber’s copyright infringement and defamation lawsuit. Muddy Waters Pictures was granted a judgment in 2022, but Dash has yet to comply with the court’s demand for payment.

“Following trial for copyright infringement and defamation, a jury found in favor of Plaintiffs Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures LLC (collectively, ‘Plaintiffs’),” the docs explain. “On June 21, 2022, the Court entered an amended judgment against Defendants Damon Anthony Dash (‘Dash’) and Poppington LLC (collectively, ‘Defendants’) in a total amount of $705,400.00, plus post-judgment interest, and on September 22, 2022, the Court entered a supplemental judgment against Defendants for $117,884.71 in attorney’s fees (both judgments collectively, the ‘Judgment’). Since then, Plaintiffs have sought to enforce and execute on the Judgment without success.”

The label co-founders, JAY-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, objected to the move, pointing out their company bylaws require board approval of all major sell-offs. U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehrburger admonished the label for adopting the clause during a 2021 board meeting, where Dash wasn’t in attendance and didn’t vote in favor. The court then ordered Roc-A-Fella to deliver Dash’s stock certification to the U.S. Marshal’s Service within 180 days.

“The question at the core of the instant dispute is whether the RAF (Roc-A-Fella) By Laws’ prohibition on transfer and sale of Dash’s one-third ownership interest in shares of RAF without the consent of RAF’s board of directors legally prevents the sale of Dash’s interest in RAF to satisfy the Judgment,” Leherburger wrote. “The answer indisputably is no.”

JAY-Z and Burke still have an equal opportunity to purchase the shares, meaning at least two of the label’s founders will retain ownership. Webber has been attempting to collect the settlement since the judgement was handed down, but the latest attempt was just filed on February 13.

Roc-A-Fella Records was founded by Dash, Burke and JAY-Z in 1995 under the Def Jam Recordings umbrella and became one of the most lucrative labels in late ’90s/2000s rap. The label eventually crumbled due to rumored friction between Hov and Dash. But in a 2021 interview with the Social Proof Podcast, Dash claimed JAY-Z’s real issues were with Burke—not him.

“The reason Roc-A-Fella Records broke up in the first place was ’cause he didn’t want to break bread with Biggs no more,” Dash said at the time. “I was like, ‘Yo, we could start something different,’ but I can’t do that to Biggs. He didn’t want Biggs to be a part of it anymore. That’s what happened. They weren’t speaking for like two years and no one knew, though. I don’t know why they would want to devalue my third—I don’t get it.”

Kanye West’s Influence Cited in Columbia University Antisemitism Lawsuit Filed by Students

A legal storm is brewing at two of its most prestigious educational institutions, Columbia University and Barnard College, where groups of Jewish students claim they are being subjected to racism.

A lawsuit filed by Students Against Antisemitism, Inc., alongside Jewish and Israeli students and the StandWithUs Center for Legal Justice, alleges a pattern of antisemitism on campus, challenging the institutions’ commitment to inclusivity and safety for all students.

The suit alleges that these institutions have systematically allowed a hostile environment of antisemitism to proliferate on their campuses, severely impacting the well-being and academic experience of Jewish and Israeli students.

The complaint delineates a series of troubling events and practices at Columbia University and Barnard College that illustrate the severity of the antisemitic climate.

Rap star Kanye West was blamed for helping to create a dangerous climate on the campus. In one incident, students openly discussed the antisemitic conspiracy theories Kanye West has spewed and circulated an image of a s####### in a campus dining hall.

Additionally, the lawsuit recounts an episode where a student encountered three student-athletes using the phrase “Jew someone down” as a derogatory term, further illustrating the casual antisemitism that permeates the campus environment.

The lawsuit claims faculty and students have openly praised the violent actions of Hamas, referring to them as “astounding” and “awesome,” in a clear display of support for acts of violence and terrorism.

Furthermore, the campuses have witnessed marches where hundreds of pro-Hamas students and faculty chanted deeply antisemitic slogans, calling for violence against Jews and promoting genocide.

These actions have not only been allowed to occur but have gone largely unaddressed by the university administration, contributing to an atmosphere of fear and exclusion for Jewish and Israeli students.

The lawsuit accuses the institutions of not enforcing their policies against discrimination, failing to condemn acts of antisemitism effectively, and neglecting to take disciplinary action against those who engage in such behavior.

This, according to the complaint, has allowed a culture of antisemitism to thrive, significantly hindering Jewish and Israeli students’ ability to participate fully in campus life.

The students are seeking a range of remedies from Columbia University and Barnard College, including the implementation of comprehensive measures to combat antisemitism on campus, disciplinary action against those who perpetuate antisemitic acts, and the development of educational programs aimed at raising awareness about antisemitism.

Additionally, the lawsuit calls for the universities to ensure the safety and inclusion of Jewish and Israeli students by enforcing Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and to provide compensation for the harm caused by the hostile environment.

SIGNS: Nicki Minaj Concert Tickets Photoshopped With Warning For Underage Attendees

No, Nicki Minaj concert tickets will not be issued with a sex offender disclaimer warning. But the recent faux tickets may highlight a stark reality for the New York City-bred rapper.

In case you missed it, a photoshopped image of a Pink Friday 2 World Tour mobile ticket for a date set in Oakland early next month began circulating on social media. The fake e-ticket included a disclaimer which read in part, “Please be advised in accordance with California state regulations, we are obligated to disclose the presence of a level three sex offender backstage.” The disclaimer then goes on to name Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, as the aforementioned offender and directed underage attendees to refrain from interacting with him.

While the graphic has been confirmed to be fake, many users on social media had genuine reactions to the image on Twitter (X).

“This is insane like can he just not go?,” one user wrote, to which another replied, “This fake bro.”

Other users latched on to the specifics of the disclaimer, with one user writing “Boy a repeat risk,” in a tweet with a screenshot of a Reddit thread defining the levels of a sex offender registry.

Ultimately, many Twitter (X) users deduced that the situation was still very serious, even if the ticket was fake.

”Fake or not, his charges are real as hell and she’s a clown,” a user tweeted, to which another said, “For something he did when he was 15. The law is the law and they gotta abide.” They were met with, “Rape is rape.”

Kodak Black’s Lawyer Attacks Negative Media Attention After Rock Throwing Incident

Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s loyal attorney, criticized “mainstream” media outlets for focusing on negative stories regarding his client. Cohen questioned why the rapper’s pledge to donate to the family of a slain police officer did not much attention on Thursday (February 22).

“I’m sure the mainstream won’t carry it,” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “@tmz_tv will probably only run something negative. But we know how @kodakblack moves and what he’s been doing since day one. It’s a shame when people only want negativity on someone.”

Cohen announced Kodak’s plans to donate on Wednesday (February 21). The attorney revealed the good deed the same day his client was released from jail.

“In typically Kodak fashion, he just pledged to donate to the college fund of a 2-year-old and a 5-month-old,” Cohen wrote. “Whose father was a Minnesota officer killed recently in the line of duty. Expecting his 2nd son this Friday, he knows how important family is and hopes it helps relieve some burden.”

Cohen circled back to the donation in the comments of his Instagram post on Thursday.

“Just got off the phone with the charity that goes directly to the families,” the lawyer wrote. “So appreciative and kind. We wish them all the best in these difficult times. No kid should grow up without a Dad lost to a senseless act.”

Kodak secured his release from jail after pleading guilty to failure to report police contact. He was arrested on drug-related charges in December 2023.

Earlier this month, a judge dismissed Kodak’s possession of oxycodone charge. He received time served for a probation violation, allowing him to walk free on Wednesday. But he quickly found himself in more trouble as threatened and threw rocks at a local news crew covering his release. A police report was filed over the incident.

Joe Exotic Thinks He Can Make Machine Gun Kelly Gay With “A Tiger & A Little Meth”

Machine Gun Kelly’s partner, Megan Fox, may want to keep an eye on Joe Exotic, even if he’s incarcerated. On Thursday (February 22), the eccentric character expressed his lust for Machine Gun Kelly and his new tattoo on Twitter (X) with a pair of suggestive tweets. The former Tiger King star kicked things off rather explicitly, seemingly bribing Kelly with a drug-induced sexual encounter.

”Anyone remember that line from Tiger King?” Exotic wrote in the tweet tagging Kelly. Exotic made sure to make his intent of flipping MGK’s sexuality during the presumed proposed hook-up clear in the remark, of course.

“A tiger and a bit of meth, I can make MGK gay,” the caption on the photo of MGK’s new read.

As if that weren’t enough, Exotic decided to take it further, seemingly suggesting he could be a better lover to Kelly than Fox, writing, “Once you go Tiger King you’ll forget about the Fox.”

Joe Exotic also seemed pretty hellbent on getting a tiger and meth involved into the mix because he also left a comment of the same nature on Kelly’s original post in Instagram.

It could be a while before Exotic gets a chance to even remotely make his Machine Gun Kelly fantasy become a reality. In 2020 he was sentenced to 22 years in prison following his conviction on charges that included violating an Endangered Species Act and murder-for-hire.

Benzino Claims He Will Go Down In History As “The Eminem Slayer”

Benzino retained his ill will for Eminem despite crying over their beef on an episode of Drink Champs. Benzino lambasted Eminem when asked about the emotional breakdown in an interview with the Art of Dialogue.

“’Rap Elvis’ already destroyed him,” Benzino said. “I already killed him with ‘Rap Elvis.’ Where’s he at? Where’s the response? I want to battle him face-to-face. I think he’s overrated. I think he sucks as a rapper. And it’s f### anybody that’s with him. I bombed on him. I’m gonna continue to bomb on him. I’m gonna continue to expose him. At the end of the day, people are waking up to his b#######.”

He continued, “I’m going to go down in history as the Eminem slayer. But right now, it’s f### Eminem. I stand on everything I said. I stand on everything I’ve been saying. And ‘Rap Elvis’ destroyed him. I’m still waiting on the response. If he don’t, I’m gonna drop another one.”

Benzino often argued with Eminem’s fans on social media, yet the former co-owner of The Source minimized their trolling in his latest interview.

“As far as Eminem’s fans, they the softest, most cuddly Hip-Hop fans out there,” he said. “They ain’t no threat. Who they a threat to? Teddy bears.”

Benzino did not regret crying during the Eminem conversation on Drink Champs. He told the Art of Dialogue it was healthy for him to cry.

“I’ve cried before, s###,” he said. “I got no problem crying. I need to cry because it helps from probably not hurting somebody. It probably helps me from not hurting myself or people around me.”

Earlier this month, a drunken Benzino said he had “nothing against Eminem” on Drink Champs while breaking down in tears. Their feud, which started more than two decades ago, bubbled up again when they exchanged diss tracks in January.
