Travis Scott Named In $750 Million Astroworld Lawsuit

Travis Scott is facing further legal woes as a $750 million lawsuit has just been brought against him, along with others including Drake, Apple and Astroworld organizer, Live Nation.

TMZ reports that Houston attorney Tony Buzbee represents more than 125 Astroworld festival goers, including the family of Axel Acosta, a 21-year-old who died in the chaos. They say the suit, which is set to be followed by others:
“Places the blame on Travis and concert organizers for negligence in failing to properly plan the concert, train security personnel and host a safe event.”

The attorney bringing the case to court shared details of the lawsuit on Instagram.

“We filed suit today on behalf of 125 Astroworld concertgoers, to include the family of Axel Acosta. Axel died at the concert,” Buzbee explained in the caption. “Many of the clients named in this lawsuit suffered broken bones, or twisted knees, or orthopedic injuries. Many have psychological injury.”

The petition refers to the eight people who died on the day of the festival and the two victims who have passed on in the days since. The suit states Alex Acosta died after being “crushed by the incited, unruly and out-of-control crowd with such force that he could no longer breathe; with such force that the air in his lungs was literally slowly squeezed out of him, sending his heart into cardiac arrest.”

According to Buzbee, at least another 100 people are to be added to the suit. “I expect we will file on behalf of another 100 individuals very soon. I have been in contact with defense counsel for many of the entities sued, to include Live Nation.”

Furthermore, Buzbee added that they gathered extensive evidence in preparation for the lawsuit, including video evidence.

“Our team has toured the site and collected evidence. We have taken statements from more than fifty witnesses. We have collected hours of video tape from almost every angle.”
Buzbee concluded, “No amount of money will fix what occurred on the night of November 5. However, based on what I know now, to include what I learned during discussions with opposing counsel, it is my firm belief that every individual who attended that concert and who suffered injury will be fairly compensated. I intend to make sure of it.”

Lil Pump Allegedly Owes $1.6 Million In Back Taxes

Lil Pump has been accused of owing $1.6 million in back taxes.

According to Radar Online, the Internal Revenue Service is coming after Lil Pump over his 2018 taxes. The IRS hit him with a tax lien after he allegedly failed to pay $1,676,738.65 in taxes.

The feds filed the tax lien against the multi-platinum selling artist’s mansion in Miami. If he fails to pay, the government could start seizing his property.

Lil Pump is no stranger to being scrutinized by the IRS. Earlier this year, the agency filed a tax lien against him for unpaid taxes dating from 2019.

The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, was accused of owing $89,378.69 to the feds. In June, he denied reports about his IRS bill even though court documents confirmed he was on the hook for almost $90,000.

“Listen, do not believe the internet, that s### is all cap breh,” he said in a social media clip.

Lil Pump also boasted about making over $15 million and showed off his jewelry in the video.

“Look, I done made over $15 million,” he said. “You know what the tax bill is on $15 million? B####, $90,000 ain’t s### to me. Stop playing with my body.”

KNOW YA HIP HOP: Heavy D, DJ Red Alert, Funk Flex, Black Sheep, and Pete Rock & CL Smooth

On November 16, 2021, the Universal Hip Hop Museum and AllHipHop.com are set to celebrate Hip Hop History Month by highlighting the late great Heavy D, DJ Red Alert, Funk Flex, Black Sheep, and Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

He was rough and tough and all that stuff … he made us dance and prance until we huffed and puffed. There was just no way that we could get enough of Heavy D, aka Mr. Big Stuff.

Heavy D was the first “Overweight Lover” in Hip Hop. The Jamaica-born Money-Earning Mt. Vernon native burst on the scene in the late 1980s with hits like “Is It Good To You,” “Gyrlz, They Love Me,” “Nuttin’ But Love” and “We Got Our Own Thang.”

Undeniably a man of the people, he brought a level of class to his clearly street swag. He was the best homie to every guy and the cuddly teddy bear to the girls. He was one of rap music’s first crossover stars, easily digestible by multi-generations because he always was immaculately dressed, could dance his natural “bleep” off and he never used profanity in his rhymes. This was epically demonstrated on his 1991 hit song, “Don’t Curse.”

After conquering music as a performer, he became an executive. From an executive, he became a sought-after actor. And from his space in history as an actor, he is now an ancestor. On November 8, 2011, he transitioned at 44 after having a pulmonary embolism. Hip Hop has never been the same.

On Saturday, November 16, Hip Hop founding father, Kool DJ Red Alert, took to the decks alongside Funkmaster Flex at the Circle California Club in Manhattan.

Black Sheep were performing their hit debut song “Flavor of the Month. A fun fact about these Native Tongue members is that the duo got together after DJ Red Alert encouraged Andres “Dres” Vargas Titus to start a Hip Hop group.

Dres recruited William “Mista Lawnge” McLean to join his duo, Black Sheep. Also appearing on the show was duo Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Jurors End Daylong Deliberations With No Verdict

A jury concluded its first day of deliberations without a verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial.

Jurors will resume their deliberations on Wednesday. Kyle Rittenhouse faces five felony charges for fatally shooting two men and wounding a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2020.

Rittenhouse, who was 17 years old at the time, was armed with an AR-15 style rifle at a demonstration in the aftermath of the Jacob Blake shooting. He said he went to the protest to protect property from rioters.

The 18-year-old defendant claimed he shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber in self-defense. Another man, Gaige Grosskreutz, was also injured but survived.

Rittenhouse has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

Judge Bruce Schroeder, who faced scrutiny for his behavior during the trial, dismissed a misdemeanor charge against Rittenhouse for illegally possessing the AR-15-style rifle.

Schroeder did allow the prosecution’s request for the jury to consider charges of second-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted second-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Before the jury began its deliberations, the judge made an unusual decision to allow Rittenhouse to conduct the random draw of jurors who’d decide his fate. A court clerk typically performs this task.

As deliberations began, protesters and Rittenhouse supporters gathered at the courthouse on Tuesday. Tensions flared as arguments erupted between both sides.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced 500 members of the National Guard would stand ready for duty in Kenosha if needed.

Let The Church Rejoice: Drake and Kanye Squashed Their Beef (Allegedly)

Drake and Kanye are best frenemies again.

In a series of Instagram posts from various parties, it was revealed that the two rappers buried the hatchet (and not in each other’s backs) at a Dave Chappelle show in Toronto.

First, let’s start with Drake’s IG post.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CWW7-polVwx/

So, at the very least, it looks like these two — who took lyrical shots at one another in the past — can, at least, be in the same room together. Progress. That’s a good thing.

Now, let’s head on over to Ye’s page!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CWW6_4PIuEX/

It’s the dove for me! So, apparently, Yeezy was making clear that there was “peace” between the two rappers. That’s great!

But wait, folks, we have one more entry: J. Prince!

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by J Prince (@jprincerespect)

“What a beautiful night I had last night in Canada. Let’s make history December 9 Free Larry Hoover Concert,” he wrote on Instagram, with the same picture of Drake and Kanye that the other two had.

So, based on all these posts, it looks like Drake and Kanye are friends again, and Prince’s post suggests that they’ll be performing together at the Free Larry Hoover concert on December 9.

The New York Post is reporting that Prince was the one who brokered the peace talks, which is a good thing, and the culture needed it.

But apparently, everyone in Toronto was talking about the Drake and Kanye West beef being settled, as evidenced by the tweets below.

Hopefully, Drake and Kanye can put the past behind them. Because things reached an all-time low with 2018’s “Duppy Freestyle” and bringing poor Adonis in the middle of all this.

Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner Canceled By W Magazine; Scrubbed From Site, Magazine Pulled

Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival tragedy is starting to impact the Kardashian/Jenner empire. Already, the youngest of Kris Jenner’s children (and the first to be a billionaire) is being shunned by one of fashion’s most celebrated brands.

According to Page Six, W magazine has scrubbed its website of any mentions of the popular couple and is halting the sale of its current issue that features the two on its cover.

A source shared with the popular gossip site and New York Post breakout section, “W editors have cleared any planned coverage of Travis and Kylie from their website, but the magazine was already printed, and now they are trying to stop the delivery trucks.”

Kylie Jenner, who is currently pregnant, is linked to the horrible night as she and her 3-year-old daughter Stormi she share with Travis Scott were in attendance — tucked away from the chaos.

W is not the only brand taking a hard stance in regards to the chart-topper. Reports have said that Nike is postponing their collaborative release with Travis Scott as well.

As of publishing, 10 people have died from the horrific event.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, some of the victims have had their funeral services already.

Irv Gotti Claims Ashanti Is Cheating Him Out Of HIS Masters

Irv Gotti criticized Ashanti for deciding to re-record her debut album.

The Murder Inc. co-founder accused Ashanti of trying to screw him out of his masters on Tuesday. Irv Gotti made the claim while commenting on an Instagram clip posted by Angie Martinez, who spoke to Ashanti about why the singer’s remaking her self-titled LP.

“I own all those great Ashanti Albums Angie,” he wrote. “I own the Masters. And. I Produced all those great Ashanti Albums. So I also own a good portion of the Publishing. What she is trying to do is re record all those great records. And put them out on her label.”

Irv Gotti continued, “She can do this under the COVER laws. But she is basically trying to f### me out of my Masters. And make people decide which album to listen too or stream. Hoping her loyal fans will choose her version. But hey. I stand on the Magic that was created. And I wanna see her duplicate that Magic. It’s f##### up really. But such is life.”

Earlier this year, Ashanti announced she’s re-recording her first studio LP to own her masters. It’s the same strategy employed by Taylor Swift, who’s remade two previously released albums – Fearless and Red – to accomplish the same goal.

Ashanti’s self-titled debut dropped via Island Def Jam and Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc. label in 2002. The LP peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Yella Beezy Strongly Denies Raping Woman On Their First Date

Dallas rapper Yella Beezy has been battling sexual assault charges. Things have gotten worse as reports now said he raped a woman in Texas on their first date, allegations he has strongly denied.

“Yall gotta stop playing on my name. I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything [that] was going on,” Yella Beezy said in a statement released today (November 16th).

TMZ reported an arrest warrant alleged that the star date-raped a female in Collin County. The document also reveals that the Jane Doe went to the ER afterward and reported the violation.

Apparently, if the allegations are true, Yella slid into the woman’s DMs in late April.

After some conversations back and forth, the two agreed to go out to eat. There were also plans to go bowling later that night. Dinner ended at 8 p.m., and the reservations to bowl were for 10 p.m. As they waited for reservations, the two went back to his apartment.

The woman reports that they played cards.

At some point, he asks for a shirtless massage. When she obliged, Yella Beezy allegedly attacked her.

She recalls that she said “no,” but he still penetrated her v##### with his penis. When she got away from him, he told her that she made him think she wanted to have sex because the two were kissing.

She filed charges. As reported by AllHipHop.com, the artist was booked for a sexual assault charge, felony abandoned endangered child, and misdemeanor unlawful carrying a weapon on November 5th.

Earlier today, Yella Beezy addressed the charges he is facing.

“It’s false allegations. Everybody that know me know that I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I ain’t no aggressive person. That don’t even fit me. Me and that thing don’t even belong in the same sentence. It don’t even sound right coming out my mouth,” Yella Beezy said.

“The child endangering surely don’t feel right coming out my mouth, cause everybody know I would never harm my kids or put them any type of danger. I’d die for my kids. The child endangerment has nothing to do with anything sexual for the people who can’t understand. This is something that happened when they came and arrested me. It don’t got nothing to do with my baby mama, It ain’t got nothing to do with none of that,” Yella Beezy continued.

“I can’t really speak on a lot of the stuff cause my lawyer advised me not to but I just had to speak out because people get stuff misconstrued. I’ll my day in court I ain’t worried about nothing. Evidence is going to prove itself. Like I said a rumor spread faster than the truth. Just trust the process,” the rapper concluded.

The full story has not been revealed, but it appears that the “Up One” chart-topper is up one without a paddle.

Italian Producer Finesse Explains How Playing Call Of Duty Led To Producing For Polo G., Nicki Minaj And Bad Bunny

In an ever-evolving music industry, it seems every day there are new producers, songwriters, and recording artists on the rise. Finesse is an Italian producer and loop-maker who’s responsible for a few of today’s greatest hits. His story is unique and incredible, as he went from playing Call of Duty to producing for superstars such as Bad Bunny and Polo G.

All the way from Italy, Finesse recently produced “Yonaguni” for Bad Bunny, which not only debuted at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts but remained as the #1 Latin song for 6 weeks straight. On the hip-hop tip, Finesse co-wrote and co-produced Polo G and Nicki Minaj’ standout collab for “For The Love of New York” which also charted in the Top 10 on Apple Music Charts.

To date, Finesse has an all-star catalog of collaborations, including unreleased music with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Russ, Swae Lee, Tyga, and more. Having only made beats 4 years ago, getting his start making beats in his room just as a passion, the 22-year-old now sets his goals high on becoming a global producer, boasting international presence.

AllHipHop: What was a young Finesse like growing up in Italy?

Finesse: Just a normal kid from Italy, going to school. I started making music because of a Youtube video. 4 years ago, I saw a Youtube video on how to make a beat, so I tried. Now I got into the industry because of my manager and all the friends. All of these big producers like CashMoneyAP, Edsclusive and Smash David. they’re all my friends now because of Call of Duty. [laughs]

AllHipHop: How did that happen?

Finesse: So pretty much the week before quarantine, I got to LA for the first time. I had a session with my homie CashMoneyAP. That’s when they locked down Italy, because you know how Italy was bad at first? I was here, I was stuck here for 4 months. Everyone was in quarantine, and I stayed here. I started playing video games with Cash. While I was playing with him, everybody else was playing too so I connected with all those people through games.

AllHipHop: How did you end up making beats though?

Finesse: We were really into the game. When we’re on the next game, I’d ask “Yo, you like this idea? What you working on?” Stuff like that.

AllHipHop: Just like that?

Finesse: Yeah, just like that. [laughs]

AllHipHop: How did you learn how to produce?

Finesse: I started 4 years ago just as a passion. For 3 years, I wanted to learn and learn and learn. I never thought about getting placements, I just wanted to learn. I got good and at that point, I said “I’ve got to start sending my stuff out.”

AllHipHop: How did you teach yourself?

Finesse: On Youtube. You can learn anything nowadays there.

AllHipHop: So you met them on Call of Duty?

Finesse: All of those guys, yeah. I just knew Cash. I knew him at first, him and his brother.

AllHipHop: What was your first big placement and how did that feel?

Finesse: It actually was 2 placements in a day.The first ones were the PnB Rock and Day Lee one, it was great. I met this producer in LA around the same time I met Cash, we became homies and started working together. The song we played was Day Lee and PnB rock, that was PnB Rock’s artist. That was our first major placements. Now, I’ve got a song with Bad Bunny. I’ve got a song with Polo G. A bunch of stuff.

AllHipHop: How did it feel to work with PnB Rock? That’s a big artist for your first one.

Finesse: That was crazy because I was locked in with Foster from MurdaGang. We were in the studio from 6pm to 6am, a 12-hour session. At 4am, PnB Rock called Foster and asked “Yo, what you doing?” He said “I’m in the studio,” he pulled up and we started working. I was a kid from Italy that never saw any rappers, that was crazy. Now, I’m used to it. [laughs]

AllHipHop: How did you end up co-producing for Polo G’s and Nicki Minaj’s “For the Love of New York”?

Finesse: That was sending loops, that’s what I mainly do. I make samples and melodies, then send them out to producers. That was through CashMoneyAP. I sent the loop to Cash and we got the placement. He’s like “Yo, Polo G wrote to our Reggaeton song.” I’m like “What? A Reggaeton beat? Polo G? What!”

AllHipHop: For the Polo G one, how did that happen?

Finesse: Just sending loops. Cash was like “Polo G got on the Reggaeton beat we did.” The Bad Bunny one, same. That was a loop I sent for Smash David, just to work. A year ago, we’re like “Yo, this beat’s perfect for Bad Bunny.” Would never think it’d end up happening. [laughs] I was on Call of Duty, Smash said “yo, who’s the best Latino artist you’d like to work with?” I said “Bad Bunny.” He said “bro, you’ve got one.” Bro, this is crazy.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to get your first plaque?

Finesse: Oh great, I’ve got to get way more now. Once you set the goal higher, you’ve got to keep going like that. Now is the moment to go higher and go harder than before.

AllHipHop: A lot of people work their whole lives for a plaque. How does it feel to land in the space you’re in?

Finesse: It’s crazy to be honest. Like you said, people work hard as f### for all this stuff. It’s working hard plus real talent, timing and look altogether. The more you work, the more possibilities you have to get the plaque. Keep working and something’s going to drop. Don’t stop because I was getting curved from songs for 2 years, nothing ever dropped. Then everything dropped at once.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?

Finesse: A laptop, headphones, and my phone. Because I like to record stuff from voice notes and sample them, I always do that.

AllHipHop: Who are your favorite artists? Who do you like?

Finesse: There’s a lot. Probably Drake or Lil Baby, or Thug, Future, all of them. I don’t have one favorite artist, I just like a bunch of people. A bunch of artists.

AllHipHop: How’d you get your name?

Finesse: My homie made it back 4 years ago, he said “Yo, you should name yourself Finesse.” I said “why?” Because I like to tweak, I was finessing the sound and doing things in detail. He said “Yo, name yourself Finesse.” I said okay. [laughs] Super random.

AllHipHop: How do you like LA? How do you like it compared to your home?

Finesse: I’m just visiting. For music, it’s fire because you can go into sessions all day every day. Everybody’s working out here. It’s different. It’s faster than Italy. Where I’m from, it’s more laidback and chill. LA is of course a big city, I’m not from a big city so I’m not used to it. [laughs] LA’s so big. It’s great, I like the vibe.

AllHipHop: Were you working anywhere before the music stuff?

Finesse: I graduated in Informatics for programming. In Italy, it’s hard to find a job so I was delivering pizzas. I was working 10 to 12 hours a day, then going back home to make beats until midnight and doing it everyday. That was 5 years ago, now I can just make music.

AllHipHop: I saw you were working with Bankroll Hayden. How did you guys connect?

Finesse: Through my managers and Pulse. I just signed to Pulse a few months ago, so I got here to do some sessions. It’s fire, they’re good people. They’re getting me into rooms, so it’s fire.

AllHipHop: Were you ready for the contract?

Finesse: Yeah, I was ready. I had different offers, I was waiting for the right one. I know a bunch of people from Pulse, like OG Parker and all those people. They said “Yo, Pulse is actually great.” They were right to be honest. [laughs] It feels good.

AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun when you’re not doing music?

Finesse: Workout, hang out with friends, play video games. That’s it, because I do music all day. Now, it’s all related to music. Everything in our lives is connected to music.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Finesse: Yeah, I know a lot of artists from Italy. I know a lot of artists from here too, so I want to start making my own songs. Like Rvssian,Murda and other people do my own beats and put artists on them. Drop them as my mine, that’s my goal. I connect people, connect artists and do my own songs. My beats with these artists and those artists, not DJ Khaled but how Rvssian does with Italians. I’m with all the rappers from Italy, so I can make my own connections. I’m probably the only producer that’s got big international stuff from here really. There’s a lot of people from Germany, but almost nobody from Italy is making placements worldwide.

Leon had been hospitalized earlier this month due to complications from COVID-19 and Keyshia’s adoptive mother, Dr. Yvonne Cole, also confirmed her husband’s death in a post on her Facebook page.

“With a heart of sadness and sincere condolences, we solicit your prayers for Dr. Yvonne Cole and the Cole family in the passing of Mr. Leon Cole, Jr.” a statement, shared alongside a picture of Leon, read.

“You are welcome to leave your prayers and any heart warming messages as they deal with the passing of Mr. Leon Cole Jr, due to COVID 19 complications. We appreciate the support for our family from around the world.”

Keyshia was adopted by Leon and Yvonne when she was two years old.

News of Leon’s death comes after Keyshia’s biological mother Frankie Lons died on her 61st birthday of a drug overdose in July.

“This is so hard man. Can’t really even find the words. SMH. I honestly don’t even know how to feel,” the Heaven Sent singer wrote on Instagram at the time.

Nicole Young Wants Cops To Help Her Collect Millions From Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre’s ex-wife Nicole Young has reportedly asked Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department officials to help her recover more than $1.5 million from the music mogul.

Nicole’s attorneys have filed a writ of execution against Dre, real name Andre Young, whom she has accused of defying a court order to pay the money in settlement of legal fees.

“Andre is doing whatever he wants to do because he is an enormously entitled and well-funded litigant who seeks to exact revenge on his former wife by decimating her financially leaving her without legal representation in this case,” newly filed documents read.’

His ex-wife claims the former NWA star has so far paid only $300,000 of the outstanding money and that she has only $1 million in the bank, which is less than she owes her lawyers.

The documentation includes a request for the Sheriff’s Department to “enforce the judgment.”

Meanwhile, the outstanding amount is accruing interest every day.

Nicole, who filed for divorce in July 2020 after 24 years of marriage, is asking for $4.2 million to cover her legal fees, as well as $3.5 million for future legal fees and another $215,000 for appeal expenses, according to RadarOnline.

In July, Dre was ordered to pay Nicole $293,306 every month in spousal support until she remarries or “enters into a new domestic partnership.”

The judge’s decision is only temporary, with a final decision pending.

Nicole believes she is entitled to half of Dre’s estate, but the rapper claims they signed a prenuptial agreement.

Dr. Dre is reportedly worth $820 million.

The Kid Laroi Pens A Letter To His Fans Explaining Why He’s Taking A Hiatus

Charlton “The Kid Laroi” Howard experienced a breakout year in 2021. His F*ck Love mixtape climbed to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and “Stay” with Justin Bieber led the Hot 100 chart for seven non-consecutive weeks.

The Kid LAROI is now ready to end the F*ck Love era of his career. To close out this chapter, the Juice WRLD protégé dropped a music video for the Mustard-assisted “Still Chose You” off the F*ck Love 3: Over You deluxe version.

In addition, The Kid LAROI penned a letter to his followers about taking a hiatus. He wrote:

To my beloved fans,

I hope you all enjoy the “Still Chose You” video! I know that record is a fan favorite, so I felt that it was only right for that to be the video that finally closes the “F### Love” era.

It’s been a wild year to say the least. Seeing the impact of the project and hearing about how it’s helped and changed so many peoples lives is f#####’ beautiful – but also incredibly surreal. It’s the reason why I do this s###. My life has also changed so much this past year because of it and I owe it all to every single one of you. There is no way I will ever be able to repay you.

Last week I went on a small vacation for the first time in a while. During that time I started thinking, and I made the decision that I need to take some time away from everything and focus on the next project; my debut album.
I’m going to miss you all beyond words can describe, but I do believe that this is what I need to do to give you all the best music possible.

I’ll be back soon, I promise.
I love you
LAROI.
