The Kid Laroi Pens A Letter To His Fans Explaining Why He’s Taking A Hiatus

Charlton “The Kid Laroi” Howard experienced a breakout year in 2021. His F*ck Love mixtape climbed to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and “Stay” with Justin Bieber led the Hot 100 chart for seven non-consecutive weeks.

The Kid LAROI is now ready to end the F*ck Love era of his career. To close out this chapter, the Juice WRLD protégé dropped a music video for the Mustard-assisted “Still Chose You” off the F*ck Love 3: Over You deluxe version.

In addition, The Kid LAROI penned a letter to his followers about taking a hiatus. He wrote:

To my beloved fans,

I hope you all enjoy the “Still Chose You” video! I know that record is a fan favorite, so I felt that it was only right for that to be the video that finally closes the “F### Love” era.

It’s been a wild year to say the least. Seeing the impact of the project and hearing about how it’s helped and changed so many peoples lives is f#####’ beautiful – but also incredibly surreal. It’s the reason why I do this s###. My life has also changed so much this past year because of it and I owe it all to every single one of you. There is no way I will ever be able to repay you.

Last week I went on a small vacation for the first time in a while. During that time I started thinking, and I made the decision that I need to take some time away from everything and focus on the next project; my debut album.
I’m going to miss you all beyond words can describe, but I do believe that this is what I need to do to give you all the best music possible.

I’ll be back soon, I promise.
I love you
LAROI.

Boosie Badazz Addresses Being Confronted By A “Lil Nas X Fan” In Viral Video

Earlier this month, Boosie Badazz was the talk of the internet one more time. Footage of a supposed fan of openly gay rapper Lil Nas X encountering Boosie went viral on social media.

In the video, a man in a purple robe confronted Boosie Badazz in defense of Lil Nas X. Boosie could then be heard calling his challenger a “f#####” which led to people once again accusing the Baton Rouge native of being homophobic.

For months, Boosie and Lil Nas X had been going back-and-forth in the media over LNX’s public antics like kissing a male dancer at the 2021 BET Awards. Boosie threatened to assault Lil Nas, and he even suggested the 22-year-old entertainer should take his own life.

It turns out the viral “confrontation” with the Lil Nas X supporter, later identified as Mario The Comic, was staged as many people suspected. DJ Vlad asked Boosie Badazz about the situation in their latest on-screen interview.

“That was part of a film. We were doing a film, and it was a part of a film. It didn’t happen in real life like that. It was a scene to a film,” admitted Boosie Badazz.

The forthcoming movie is tentatively titled Where’s MJ? It is expected to drop either on Christmas Day in December or around Valentine’s Day next year. Boosie Badazz stated the project is in the post-production stage.

“It’s the funniest film I damn near ever saw in my life,” Boosie told DJ Vlad. “It’s that funny, bro. You gonna have your stomach hurting. Like I say, Vlad, I’m dropping four films every year. I found a way.”

Summer Walker Ties Taylor Swift’s Hot 100 Record With ‘Still Over It’ Tracks

Summer Walker earned another music industry accolade thanks to her Still Over It album. The Love Renaissance recording artist’s name is now cemented alongside Country/Pop megastar Taylor Swift in the record books.

According to Billboard, Summer Walker became just the second female artist to land 18 songs on the Hot 100 chart in a single week. Taylor Swift also achieved that feat in September 2019 following the release of her Lover album.

Summer Walker’s “No Love” featuring fellow R&B singer SZA was the highest placed Still Over It song this week. The Sonni and ForTheNight-produced collaboration debuted at #13.

Two other tracks also made it into the Hot 100’s Top 40. “Bitter” with Cardi B opened at #25 on the Billboard rankings. The single “Ex for a Reason” with JT from City Girls currently sits at #33.

In addition, Summer Walker helped DMV songstress Ari Lennox score her first career Hot 100 entry. Their “Unloyal” duet landed at #48. The legendary production duo known as The Neptunes earned their second credited Hot 100 entry with “Dat Right There.”

Still Over It broke onto the Billboard 200 album chart at #1 with 166,000 first-week units. Additionally, Summer Walker’s sophomore studio LP set a new record for most one-week streams for an album by a female R&B artist.

The commercial success of Still Over It was bolstered by its performance on Apple Music. Still Over It has the biggest 24-hour debut on Apple Music for a female act and the biggest Apple Music debut for an R&B album in the history of the streaming service.

Nike Postpones Travis Scott Sneaker Launch Following Astroworld Festival Tragedy

There is more bad news for Travis Scott. The Astroworld album creator continues to make headlines in the wake of ten people losing their lives from a crowd crush at the 2021 Astroworld Festival.

Previously, Travis Scott removed himself from other festival lineups. He also faces scores of lawsuits from concertgoers claiming they were injured and/or traumatized by the disastrous incident on November 5.

Now Nike decided to halt the release of the company’s latest sneaker collaboration with Travis Scott which reportedly was set to hit retailers on December 16. The Oregon-based apparel corporation provided a statement about the postponement on its website.

“Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack,” reads the message on nike.com.

Eight Astroworld Festival attendees were pronounced dead on the day of the event. Two additional victims, including a 9-year-old boy named Ezra Blount, later died in hospital. More than 300 people were treated for injuries at NRG Park.

Travis Scott issued two separate apologies, one on Twitter and another on video. However, critics expressed frustration that Scott came off as unemotional and detached in his on-camera mea culpa.

The criticism rose even more after reports confirmed that Travis Scott attended a Drake-hosted Astroworld Festival after-party at Dave & Buster’s as many of his fans were being hospitalized. Sources insisted Scott was unaware that people died during his show at the time.

Local law enforcement is said to be conducting a criminal investigation into the Astroworld Festival tragedy. As of press time, no charges have been filed. Plus, FBI Director Christopher Wray assigned his federal agency with providing technical assistance to the Houston Police Department.

Soulja Boy Provides Receipts Against Lil Yachty’s “First Signed Rapper” Claim

Soulja Boy does not hold back when he feels like he is not getting the proper acknowledgment for his contributions to the culture. Lil Yachty is the latest rapper to face the judgment of Big Draco.

“I’m the first signed rapper to shoot a video fully on the iPhone,” tweeted Lil Yachty last week. The Atlanta-bred rhymer was promoting his new Cole Bennett-directed “Yae Energy” visuals.

Not surprisingly, Soulja Boy had a few words for Yachty the next day. He responded by tweeting, “You late. I been did that before you even got signed 😂.”

Soulja Boy’s response to Lil Yachty’s “first signed rapper” claim did not end with that one tweet. The “She Make It Clap” performer returned to Twitter in order to provide receipts.

“No Lil Yachty seriously I was the first rapper [to] shoot a music video on iPhone, this was 2012,” wrote Soulja Boy. That tweet was accompanied by photos of SB filming content with the Apple product.

Before he called out Lil Yachty on social media, Soulja Boy took issue with Young Dolph stating he is making $100,000 per show as an independent artist. In contrast, Soulja also finally settled his issues with Kanye West over his verse being removed from Ye’s Donda album.

N.O.R.E Claims “I Got People To Love Kanye Again”

N.O.R.E and DJ EFNs “Drink Champs” interview with Kanye West has kept the internet abuzz since the first installment was released last week (Nov 5).

N.O.R.E is taking the credit for doing something no one was able to do, and he may have a case. Yeezy covered a wide range of controversial topics throughout and delved into the details of his private and public relationships.

N.O.R.E took to Twitter to declare what he claims is the impact of the two-part interview.

“I’ve done something that no record label no women no culture can do????” N.O.R.E. tweeted. “I got people to love Kanye again @kanyewest!!! Real talk!!!”

The Kanye interview broke viewership records for REVOLT. Kanye was trending on Twitter for days following the release, as were the people he discussed, like Big Sean.

“I already decided that when I die, on my tombstone it’s gonna say: ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean,’” he said during part one.

“The worst thing I’ve ever done is sign Big Sean,” Kanye added.

Meanwhile, N.O.R.E announced the guests for the next episode of “Drink Champs.” He took to Instagram to share a pic of himself, Ghost Face, and Raekwon to deliver the news.

“This week we keeping it Lit wit my WU TANG BROTHERS @realghostfacekillah @raekwon 🔥🔥🔥🥃🥃 they ain’t did a interview together since joe Clair !!!”

Lil Nas X Wanted Drake & Nicki Minaj On “Montero” But They Declined

Lil Nas X is having an incredible year following the reception of his debut studio album, “Montero.”

He gave an interview to GQ after being named their “Musician of the Year” and graced the front cover of their “Man of the Year” issue. He covered an array of subjects in the wide-ranging interview, one of which was of course his hugely popular. “Montero” album.

GQ asked Lil Nas about his success rate of reaching out for features. How often was he turned down? According to the controversial artist, he got the green light from nearly all the collaborators he wanted on the project.

However, there were two exceptions, Drake and Nicki Minaj, who apparently didn’t want to be involved.

“I don’t usually ask for features like that. But for every feature I did ask for on this album, like, every single one of them worked…besides Drake and Nicki [Minaj],” he told GQ.

Although he had specific songs in mind for the collaborations, he didn’t actually let Drake or Nicki know. “I didn’t ask them directly. I wanted Nicki on ‘Industry Baby,’ and I wanted Drake on ‘Dolla Sign Slime,’ with Megan [Thee Stallion],” he added. “Industry Baby” of course was given to Harlow. “Yeah, but you know, I feel like things always work out. Jack Harlow ended up being, like, the best option. I’m not sure how comfortable Nicki would have felt with that video or whatnot.”

Lil Nas X and Jack Harlowe’s “Industry Baby” scored the pair a number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it was released in July.

His Fear Of Being Exposed

Elsewhere in the interview, the Atlanta native revealed that his denial of running a Nicki Minaj fan club was, “probably the last lie I’ve told publicly.” He shared his fear when people began to discover the truth.

“It was so much anxiety. Like, I literally felt like, Oh, my God, this is like a setup. And I’m going to die soon. It was much darker in my head than people were probably seeing. And it was also like, Damn, I’ve been working hard, like not sleeping, and I just made it to the music industry, and this is going to ruin everything for me.”

His main concern was being outed as a gay man rather than for running a celebrity fan account. He said it was both but “Mainly being gay. That was the main thing I was most afraid of.”

DaniLeigh Charged With Simple Assault Following DaBaby Argument

Criminal charges have come into play in DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s relationship drama.

According to multiple reports, DaniLeigh’s been charged with two counts of simple assault. DaBaby told Charlotte police the mother of his youngest daughter assaulted him twice.

Cops responded to a domestic assault call on Sunday and advised DaBaby to pursue charges against DaniLeigh. In an Instagram post, the Interscope Records rapper said he didn’t want to press charges but wanted her “peacefully removed” from his home.

Police went back to the residence on Monday morning to respond to a disturbance. DaBaby said DaniLeigh, whose real name is Danielle Curiel, assaulted him. This resulted in her getting charged with simple assault.

“As a result of the investigation, Curiel was served with a Criminal Summons for Simple Assault,” Charlotte police said. “Officers also obtained additional information that led them to charge Curiel with a second count of Simple Assault from the incident on Nov. 14.”

DaBaby and DaniLeigh were involved in a heated argument that was livestreamed on Instagram. Cops arrived at the scene during the confrontation.

The two were living together with their baby until the recent blow-up occurred. On Monday afternoon, DaniLeigh declared she’d left with her daughter in a social media post.

Fat Joe & Remy Ma To Guest Host ‘The Wendy Williams Show’

Fat Joe and Remy Ma have been hired to temporarily host The Wendy Williams Show.

The rap duo will guest host the daytime talk show on November 23 and 24. Fat Joe and Remy Ma join a growing list of celebrities who’ve filled in for Williams, who’s currently away on medical leave.

Williams is dealing with complications from Graves’ disease, which causes an overproduction of thyroid hormones. Last week, she shared an update about her health via social media.

“I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.”

She continued, “I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there. I also want to thank Debmar-Mercury and our stations for being so understanding and supportive while I work my way back. Most of all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me.”

Fat Joe and Remy Ma will come into The Wendy Williams Show with hosting experience. The former hosted The Fat Joe Show on REVOLT while the latter was one of the multiple hosts of State of the Culture, which aired on the same network.

The longtime collaborators also have well-established chemistry. They have been working together for years as members of the Terror Squad.

In 2017, Fat Joe and Remy Ma released a collaborative album titled Plato O Plomo. The project featured their hit single “All the Way Up,” which was certified triple platinum earlier this year.

Recording Artist and Producer LaChaleur Is Already an International Star

Diomande Elliott, aka LaChaleur, is a fast-rising music star from the Bronx, New York. LaChaleur is a talented artist and producer swiftly announcing his name in the international music scene. The gifted singer brings a unique and fresh touch to the music scene with his fashion sense that mixes rock, high-end urban wear, and West African aesthetics. LaChaleur also has a versatile ear for music, evident in how he smoothly fuses all the different elements resulting in a dope outcome.

In his few placements as a producer, he has created numerous records for various artists, including Efya, Asap Ferg, Desiigner, 147 Cal boy, 27 Delly, Hassirv, Q Da Fool, Mac Sauce, and so much more. With Ivorian origins, LaChaleur shares a deep connection with African music. He has done numerous African-inspired pieces, including a freestyle a year back for a Nigerian awards show. LaChaleur has also worked with numerous global music stars from the African continent, including opening for Grammy award winner Sarkodie, P Square, Tekno, and many others.

LaChaleur also flaunts and leverages his diverse linguistic abilities to create collective music, which includes mixing different languages in one song. However, French remains to be one of the main dialects that he learned in the Ivory Coast. In fact, his stage name LaChaleur is French-inspired, meaning “The Heat.” Most of his fans can attest to his love for language as he likes to throw in some French into his songs whenever he can.

Building a successful career in the music industry can be one of the toughest tasks for an artist, as it’s a highly demanding task. LaChaleur has not found the journey easy, and he had to continually work hard, pushing the limits to make his music dream a reality. Consistency is one of the key factors to success in music, which has been a tough nut to crack for LaChaleur. He terms it as a challenge he still faces today to some extent.

“I may be consistent in some aspects, but I sometimes know funds and even just time can cause a halt, but I never let it bring me down fully. I still find a way to be productive even if it isn’t for myself,” explains LaChaleur.

On the right path to success in music, LaChaleur believes he has experienced many life lessons that he can share to inspire others. To him, it’s not just about you; sometimes, you may run into situations where ideally, you’d like it to be highlighted on you, but it’s ok to play behind the curtains. He believes that sometimes you have to plant the seeds and see how they grow because the best things come unexpectedly. So, give it your all while you can as long as you maneuver with a genuine purpose, and believe that God will bless you when the time is right.

Though he is highly passionate about being a performer, LaChaleur doesn’t plan to be one for the rest of his life. He wants to diversify and take a different path within the music industry, like possibly establishing a record label. He wants to leverage his selfless mindset to help others get into positions and develop their goals.

Polo G Catches Major Break In Assault Case Against The Cops

Favorable news has cleared rapper Polo G of assault in a case regarding officers in Miami. Charges are said to have been dropped, giving the chart-topper and his team reason to celebrate.

According to TMZ, Florida prosecutors will not go forward with two felony charges of battery of a police officer, threatening a public servant, and one misdemeanor charge for criminal mischief.

They did not have enough evidence for a conviction.

As reported by AllHipHop.com in June, the “Finer Things” rapper was arrested after being pulled over around 12:30 AM.

He was accused of battering a cop named Officer Brandon Carrero, resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief. They also said that he threatened to kill the arresting officers accompanying Carrero.

Luckily for Polo G, the activities of the night were caught on their police body cameras and other surveillance cameras around the area.

The Chicago artist, who was arrested right after dropping his third studio album Hall of Fame, stated at the time that “1 of the officers told us they [were] on us since we got off our jet… They [playing] foul in Miami and [that] s### been like that for a minute.”

The “RAPSTAR” recording artist is still facing two charges for resisting an officer.

According to his legal team, Polo G agreed to enroll in an anger management program, and upon the completion of said program, those charges will also be dropped.

How Drake And URL Can Be A Lethal Hip-Hop Combo Where All Boats Rise

A dude clutches an unopened Henny bottle.

“Did Drake give that to you?”

“Yeah. And I keep a Bible in my car so you know it’s really real.”

“Blessed.”

“Yeah.”

Still riding high, in birthday mode, Drake celebrates at the latter part of October 2021. But, this is no ordinary birthday party in Long Beach, California. His aides bring out Hennessy bottle after Hennessy bottle, with a seemingly endless number of translucent plastic cups for the roughly two thousand people inside the impressive Thunder Studios.

Keep it a buck. Drake is the biggest rap star in the game, hands down. But on the night before Halloween, the multi-million record seller, and multi-million dollar man is seen mingling in a weed-smoke, capacity-filled battle arena swigging Henny with regular fans and battle emcees. Cameras, helmed by Caffenine’s team, swivel and twist to get shots of Drizzy’s every move. This ain’t even Drake’s show, party or concert. This is URL, the Ultimate Rap League, and it is one of the hottest tickets in Hip-Hop right now.

Drake, the business, moves wisely and strategically. So, on the surface, this is a passion project, fun and perhaps even charitable. Under the surface, one of the most important, reciprocal relationships has emerged. The die-hard West Coast audience concurs, almost in unison: “Drake is GOOD here” and “Drake aiight with me.” To the outsider, he’s instantly a champion of the hungriest, grittiest MCs in Hip-Hop – the battle rapper. URL is synonymous with brutality, where bars are like bare-knuckle boxing. It is also a far contrast to the perception of the Canadian phenom.

The Ultimate Rap League, founded in New York City, is now run by Troy “Smack White” Mitchell, Eric Beasley, and Jean “Cheeko” French, three unlikely executives that have managed to rise as the dominant, most powerful battle rap league. Drake is hardly the first notable to become a fan of URL. Jay-Z, Diddy, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Nick Cannon, French Montana, Beanie Sigel, Jay-Z, Bow Wow, Mos Def, Jadakiss, Lupe Fiasco, boxer Adrien Broner, hooper Kevin Durant, comedian DC Young Fly, and numerous others have shown their love and support of URL. Tonight in Long Beach, Lil Mama and Mckey Factz are in attendance, and Freeway and Cassidy are on hand to announce a rematch to their impromptu in-studio battle from 20 years ago, to which Freeway was on the losing side.

Drake’s involvement is different than those in the past.

“Drake’s Til Death Do Us Part” epitomizes the lengths of the commitment and respect Drizzy has shown Smack, Beasley, and Cheeko. Not only did he help facilitate the deal with Caffeine, the live streaming app, but he’s now an active participant in the culture of battle rap. No longer a mere spectator, Drake is now a part of the story that could yield everything from higher payouts to more mainstream notoriety. There’s even talk of a million-dollar battle. But all is not perfect.

In the aftermath of the “Til Death Do Us Part,” Murda Mook – who dropped off the card – complained that the 6 God was now taking more than he’s giving. “This is supposed to be for us, our culture, we lit,” he said on Instagram Live. “We just giving our sh#t up like that? Oh man, sh#t getting crazy out here.” Furthermore, he alleged the rapper did not create the battle card himself, as was advertised. Regardless, Drake’s tenure stands, as a fan and a businessman.

Drake said in a statement: “I’ve always loved URL and admired what Smack and his team have been able to create. It just wasn’t easily accessible. It’s exciting to be in a position where I’m able to bring Caffeine to the table and help provide URL with the tools they need to elevate the viewing experience and make it more accessible to fans.”

Drake is smart as hell. And so are the URL guys, building their platform brick by brick since 2009.

Both entities are assuredly successful without each other so they definitely do not need one another. Still, they have infinite potential together. Drake’s tentacles now extend deep into the most authentic part of Hip-Hop – the battle. And URL now gets the press and pageantry that was once regulated to the underworld like illegal fight clubs.

If you are not a rapper, the business of Rap and Hip-Hop can be tricky. If you do innovate or, more importantly, disrupt, the sharks will come. In fact, they tend to eat young companies wholly or blackball them when they are not working to enrich the already rich. URL has bypassed tradition while gaining more favor with one of the music industry’s titans. Despite his critics, Drake gets respect for being a good guy that certainly could have tried his hand at a battle league like Eminem or Snoop. But no, he chooses to partner up with URL, as Smack, Beasley, and Cheeko maintain ownership.

That’s Hip-Hop. Henny for everybody.

Scarface dropped on the scene in 1989 as a member of the iconic Southern Hip Hop crew the Geto Boys. But this Houston native’s career reaches far beyond his first Rap-A-Lot crew.

His 11 studio album discography (all debuting in Billboard’s top 100). Named as #16 on The Source’s list of the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time, he also has had a distinguished career as a record executive.

He was the first president of Def Jam South. Great music is only one aspect of his iconic career. As a community stakeholder, he has run for office using his celebrity and ideals to change the community.

On Friday, November 15, 1991, the legendary Geto Boys, supported by 3rd Bass and MC Breed, performed at the TCC Arena in Tucson, Arizona.

Just a few months earlier they had released their breakthrough single “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” The classic track is one of the most insightful songs about mental health and has appeared on numerous “Best Rap Songs” lists over the years.

Hip Hop icon Scarface wrote three of the song’s four verses, inspired by his grandmother.

“Rest in Peace Bushwick Bill and MC Breed.”

DaBaby Says DaniLeigh’s Parents Disowned Their Half-Black Grandbaby

DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s relationship drama continues to play out on social media.

After calling the cops on DaniLeigh over the weekend, DaBaby aired out his baby mama’s family on Monday. The controversial rapper claimed DaniLeigh’s parents disowned their grandchild for being half-Black.

“Y’ALL DISOWNED Y’ALL HALF BLACK GRAND BABY, SOON AS Y’ALL COULDN’T CONTROL Y’ALL DAUGHTER,” he wrote via Instagram Stories.

DaBaby’s post featured a video of him holding his infant daughter. In the footage, he defended his parenting and said DaniLeigh’s parents have never seen their grandchild.

“Daddy first, celebrity after,” he remarked. “All that b####### y’all was hearing was what it was. My baby was with me right here in my arms.”

He added, “The shawty’s family is trying to chime in and speak on the situation,” he said. “Y’all don’t even know her. She don’t know y’all either. She ain’t never seen y’all a day in her life. Shawty’s mana, you ain’t even met your grandbaby yet.”

DaniLeigh wasn’t happy about DaBaby letting the public see their daughter. She slammed her baby daddy in a reaction post on Instagram Stories.

“SAD .. THAT’S HOW Y’ALL HAD TO SEE MY BABY FOR THE FIRST TIME,” she wrote. “EVIL ASS MAN.”

For more on the situation, read AllHipHop’s story about the heated argument between DaBaby and DaniLeigh that occurred on Sunday.

Did Beanie Sigel Get That $50 Million From Kanye?

After seeing the sheer ridiculousness of Beanie Sigel not accepting $50 million from Kanye West, I had to look into this.

OK, I did not look into anything really. I happened to look at Boxden and saw a picture of Beanie and Kanye yucking it up at a recent event. They seem really happy, and that is a real moment. Check it out.

I am thinking about it and It could go either way. I am thinking Yeezy and Beanie worked something out. Some currency was exchanged, in my opinion but I cannot quite figure out what. Beanie has a certain glow about him that only a person that had a recent change of fortune has. If you give me $5,000, you will see the same sort of face that Beanie Sigel has in the first picture.

By the way, this happened at Kanye West’s Sunday Service jawn event. I wonder if Beanie and Kanye prayed together over communion or something über Christian? That would be dope. Anyway, I know very little more about the whole thing. Oh – I did hear that Kanye was with his kids, doing some serious daddy duties. By the way, he still wants to get back with Kimmie K, according to reports, but she’s out cavorting with some white dudes.

Do what you gotta – for the kids!

Lil Nas X Predicts There Will Be Many More Gay And Trans Rappers

Men’s magazine GQ is set to honor Lil Nas X by placing him on the cover for the “Men Of The Year” issue. The image is striking as it has the artist on the cover “doubled up,” hugging himself.

According to ET Canada, what made the “Montero” rapper such a great candidate for inclusion on the cover is how boldly he has represented the LGBTQIA+ community in the traditionally homophobic Hip-Hop community.

When asked about his role in Hip-Hop, Lil Nas X said, “The whole landscape is very hypermasculine.”

“It’s so great and so amazing that all these female rappers are breaking through. And, in a way, female rappers are the biggest rappers right now. I do feel like this newer generation of rappers who are coming in, and the ones who are here, are going to have to reshape their thoughts,” the 22-year-old chart-topper said. “Because change is happening. There’s going to be so many gay rappers. There’s going to be more trans people in the industry and whatnot. Ten years from now, everything that I’m doing won’t even seem like it was shocking.”

Lil Nas X also said he won’t be dating women anymore.

“Sometimes when you get sad or whatnot, you just want to go with somebody and cuddle and kiss and hug,” he explained. “And I love to do that. But ultimately, I feel I’ve gotten to a place where I have enough love for me that I can focus on myself.”

Being one of the “Men of the Year” for the world’s biggest men’s magazine is a huge milestone.

Rob $tone Taps Dom Kennedy In West Coast Banger “No Handshakes“

Rob $tone is a gem coming out of the West Coast, and now he taps Los Angeles’ own Dom Kennedy for his newest single titled “No Handshakes.”

Stemming off the momentum of his previous releases — “All 9 Innings” which served as the anthem for the San Diego Padres home baseball games, “I Love It” featuring Rubi Rose, and “GOSSIP” featuring Too $hort — this new record pays homage to California as a whole: the unmatched weather, beautiful women, and undeniable swag.

Speaking on the record, Rob states, “This record is crazy special to me! Dom’s a real solid dude & legend in the game so to gain his respect and have him rock with me the way he does means a lot. I’d been working on my album BONA FIDE for a minute and when I sent this one to Dom, he said ‘this the one for real’ and sent his part back in a few hours! I was out at Delilah when he sent it and instantly left the table to go get a good listen to that! Much love and respect to the big homie!”

Rob $tone is San Diego’s finest, and he’s here to put his city on the map at all times. Exploding onto the scene with his viral smash “Chill Bill” in 2015, who’s music video on Youtube currently has over 288 million views and counting, the West Coast rapper has been continuously feeding his fans with nothing short of bangers.

Most recently, he released his 7-track EP titled Solitaire Stone, holding fans over until his highly-anticipated forthcoming album BONA FIDE.
