Noname Says Sorry…But Really Did Not Need To.

(AllHipHop Rumors) People from this era say sorry too damn much! Swizz apologized last night. Damn J. Cole fell back, just shy of an apology, but felt like it. Now, Noname, the rapper that was the alleged subject of  J. Cole‘s latest single, “Snow on tha Bluff”, is now saying sorry. She clapped back at Cole for the song on “Song 33.” Well, she is now saying sorry…more or less.

Earlier today, she tweeted (June 22) that she is “not proud” of herself. “i tried to use it as a moment to draw attention back to the issues i care about but i didn’t have to respond,” she revealed. WHAT? First of all, this is Hip-Hop. I know its bigger than Hip-Hop, it is still Hip-Hop! On top of that, she didn’t really do any damage to Cole. She checked him and people felt that. Oh well!

“my ego got the best of me. i apologize for any further distraction this caused,” she said after nobody was even thinking about it anymore….causing more distraction!

https://twitter.com/noname/status/1274741953767206917

News outlets have been taking that tweet and stretched it to the farthest degree!

I did not realize, but Madlib did the damage on the beat, but he did. Noname took time to give him his roses.

Weird times we are living in.

Swizz Beatz Goes In On Drake For Leaked Busta Song! Then Apologizes!

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like Swizz Beatz is really upset with Drake. But why pray-tell would one of the greatest producers of our time be upset with one of the greatest rappers of our time? Well, I have the answer. Earlier today a song with a Busta Rhymes and drake leaked on the Internet. Now the song was produced by J Dilla and not Swizz Beatz, so Swizzie has no dog in this fight. Not the case. Swizz Beatz called Drake a “little guy” and said it is “not personal” or he would “shoot Drake’s plane clean out of the sky.” That is not a direct quote. Swizz didn’t name names. Now, we know that that is a metaphor for going to war but it sounds extremely aggressive. Check out the video right now:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBtI67pHEn3

The longer video is here and he calls Drake numerous other names including, “pu$$y boy” and things like that.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBtXCAUnftq

Now, nobody really knows exactly why Swizz is so mad but let’s just consider the fact that he might be speaking for Busta Rhymes who is still out here getting ready to drop some new music. And perhaps Busta Rhymes is not really able to vocalize exactly how he feels because he may just need a Drake feature at some point in the future. But somebody on the Internet said: that Drake gave Alicia Keys a shout out during the Verzuz battle over the weekend, the Verzuz battle that nobody really saw, because it was not on Instagram like all of the previous Verzuz battles!! OR Alicia Keys gave the shout out. But the battle was with John legend. I can’t call it but it seems like Swizz may not have appreciated that holla. Busta is not that upset, but Swizz is FURIOUS!

There is a blowback to this. Canadians are now taking up arms saying that Swizzy disrespected the king! And you cannot threaten Dizzy even if you are Swizzy! Nobody!

By the way, here is the song! Enjoy!

Fat Boy Chubbs – I have no idea who that is, but he wants all the smoke with Swizz!

HBO Presents Terence Nance’s ‘Random Acts Of Flyness’ TV Show For Free

(AllHipHop News) In 2018, HBO began airing the late-night series Random Acts Of Flyness. Terence Nance’s award-winning program covered numerous social topics such as white supremacy, police violence, sexuality, and gender.

HBO has now added the entire first season of Random Acts Of Flyness to its YouTube channel for a limited time. Viewers can watch what the premium cable network has described as “a fluid, stream-of-conscious response to the contemporary American mediascape” on the free platform through June 26.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBrcSiepxOr

Nance posted on Instagram:

Greetings to the universe – the most low and high. Greetings to the beings whose names we speak with intention, attention, and discretion. Greetings to my ancestors who survived enslavement to dream me and ours forth. We celebrate your transformative embodied and astral imagination(s) out loud today on Juneteenth and all days we are blessed to draw breath. Gratitude to you for allowing our existence – our sublime. We thank you for the lives of our beloved Lloyd Porter and Natalia Harris. Two transformative spirits who made Random Acts possible. We love Natalia and Lloyd from here and feel both you as we do all of the spirits who have transitioned with respect to the most recent imbalances in this universe. We know the balance of life to be dynamic, evolutionary, and transformative. We have faith in the process of restoration we are enacting. We remain in deep gratitude and imagining – backwards and forwards in spacetime. It seems like everyday people ask me if and when Random Acts of Flyness will come back. I suspect their curiosity is due to the fact that Program I was born of conversations that were moving at light speed in 2018 and have orbited around an unquantifiable mass of violence – arriving at some devastating and inspiring event horizon that feels like spaghettification. I don’t speak for the wonderful group of artists who made the show but I hypothesize that we were working to process and heal through the constant acceleration of the violence we survive – centering our body-spirit(s) and our swarms in the doing. Heal how? Heal by using the tools we are given by our ancestors, our progeny, and being(s) whose nature we have no words for: movement, touch, stories, our time, vibe, irresolution, rest, folly, and fun. All that to say – I hope the show can help us heal in real time – from the violence: the misogynoir, the transphobia, the white supremacy the socialism for whites that we misname capitalism. There is chaos and clarity in equal infinince in my energy field and I don’t know how this heal up thing works or what it’s called, plus, words fail me as they do often nowadays and will often in the future but I feel like watching Random Acts will be useful now because It seems like every day people ask me, “T, where is Season II at?” and I say, “outside.” So. We asked HBO to let us post the show for free on youtube and they granted our request. Season 1 is available now until June 26. I hope it can be a part of the understanding, the reading, the feeling, the healing. I intend this on behalf of my ancestors, backward and forward in spacetime, Season II coming soon.

The New York University graduate wrote, directed, and executive produced Random Acts. Terence Nance also composed the music for the series. Entertainers such as Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Whoopi Goldberg (The Color Purple), and Gillian Jacobs (Community) made guest appearances in season one.

Upon its airing, Random Acts Of Flyness was met with near-universal acclaim from professional television reviewers. The show has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 83/100 score on Metacritic. Plus, Random Acts Of Flyness won a Peabody Award in 2018.

B. Howard – We Are Champions (Official Video) ft. Van Ness Wu

With millions of people affected by the COVID pandemic and witnessing the Black Lives Matter uprisings, protest art is flourishing. Artists like Lil Baby, YG, LL Cool J, Trey Songz and H.E.R have released music and visuals to show solidarity with BLM. Now R&B artist B.

Howard joins the fray with “We Are Champions,” a song meant to amplify, unify and uplift spirits during a time of COVID-19 and rampant government violence. The song has already inspired over 300 Tik Tok videos and millions of views.

Stricken with an onslaught of emotions brought on by 2020, two award-winning singer-songwriters, B. Howard and Van Ness Wu, have teamed together for. “We Are Champions,” produced by B. Howard and Marcos “Kosine” Palacios (Da Internz).

The track highlights the resilience of humanity while honoring the personal sacrifices of those on the frontline. The performance style music video directed by Kai-chih Chang celebrates individuals standing up around the world and helping fellow humanity. The visuals depict healthcare workers and peaceful protesters risking their lives for important causes.

 B. Howard says, “COVID-19 is a global pandemic that we are all experiencing. We Are Champions honors the frontliners who are risking their lives to save lives in service of others. Our eagerness to return to our daily routine has some of us neglecting the good practices. We can all celebrate champions by making conscious decisions to continue to follow the protocols that have been recommended to flatten the curve.”

Howard who is from the United States and Wu who is from Taiwan, hope their unified voices will shed light on another hurtful reality. “As we mourn the recent murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and countless others who have been met with hostility and racism, we appeal to all with the message that we are in this together.

We can overcome if we let our light penetrate through the darkness of racial discrimination and profiling. Art has the power to unite and connect in times of crisis and we hope that the proceeds we raise from ‘We Are Champions’ helps to support those organizations who are turning fear, anxiety, and panic into hope and empowerment,” says B. Howard.

To support our champions, purchase and stream “We Are Champions”Song proceeds will go to UNICEF

2020 ESPY Awards Opening Video Declares Black Lives Matter & Acknowledges Colin Kaepernick

(AllHipHop News) Four years ago, Colin Kaepernick was essentially blackballed from the National Football League for taking a knee during the national anthem as a way to protest police brutality in America. At the time, the phrase “Black Lives Matter” was still viewed negatively by many Americans.

In the wake of George Floyd’s murder on May 25, 2020 by then-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin with the assistance of three other cops, the approval rating for the Black Lives Matter movement has skyrocketed in the country. Some former critics are even now acknowledging that Kaepernick’s peaceful protests were justifiable and necessary.

The intersection of sports and social justice has long been part of the American experience. With Black Lives Matter demonstrations taking place across the globe and the call for the end of systemic racism dominating the news, ESPN’s 2020 ESPYs could not avoid the topic of race.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, WNBA player Sue Bird, and Olympic gold medalist Megan Rapinoe served as hosts for this year’s ceremony. Wilson opened the remotely-held award show with an introduction video highlighting the history of Black athlete-activists and endorsing the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Super Bowl champion recalled the civil rights accomplishments of sports icons Jackie Robinson, Bill Russell, Muhammad Ali, Serena Williams, Tommie Smith, and John Carlos. While wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt, Wilson also mentioned African-American citizens that have been killed by law enforcement or ex-law enforcement.

“We need justice. We need true leadership. We need a change and we need it now,” said Wilson in the video package. He later added, “The only thing that must die is racism. Black lives matter.”

In addition, Megan Rapinoe specifically acknowledged Colin Kaepernick’s efforts to bring awareness to racial injustice. She said, “Colin Kaepernick never shied away. He knew that discomfort was essential to liberation and that fighting the oppression against Black people is bigger than sports.”

Eminem Takes Shots At Diddy’s Revolt & Joe Budden In Leaked Version Of Conway’s “Bang”

(AllHipHop News) Marshall “Eminem” Mathers built a mainstream rap career off of dissing other celebrities in his music. That strategy has not changed in the 20 years since Em broke onto the scene.

For example, a new leaked version of Conway The Machine’s “Bang” from 2019 includes Eminem taking shots at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Revolt media company. Slim Shady also had words for his former Shady Records artist Joe Budden.

“Shout to Puffy Combs, but f*ck Revolt,” rapped Em. He then seemed to turn his attention to Budden, who currently serves as a host for the Revolt talk show State of the Culture.

“Y’all are like a f*cked up remote. Now I get it why our button’s broke. Cause you pressing him but do nothing though, especially when it comes to punches throne,” spit Eminem.

Later, the veteran rhymer appeared to call out Budden again for his infamous run-in with Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff of the Migos on the 2017 BET Awards red carpet. Em says, “Tell this journalist stick to the stuff he knows, like always running, from Migos.”

Eminem and Joe Budden have been feuding for years. In 2018, Em expressed his frustration that the former Slaughterhouse member harshly critiqued his musical work. He dissed Budden on his 2018 album Kamikaze and referred to him as “traitor Joe” on the 2020 album Music to Be Murdered By

Both times, Budden responded to his ex-label head on his podcast. In 2018, the New Jersy representative declared, “I’ve been better than [Eminem] this entire f*cking decade.” In January of this year, Budden joked, “That’s hurtful. That’s not right. That’s offensive, man. Trader Joe? I’m Joe. So you’re telling me Joe is a traitor?”

Budden has also complained about how Eminem and Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg reportedly mismanaged the finances associated with Slaughterhouse. In contrast, Eminem put most of the SH breakup on the four rappers having creative differences when it came to the never-released Glass House project and not issues related to money.

Noname Apologizes For J. Cole Response “Song 33” Causing A Distraction

(AllHipHop News) For a couple of days, the Hip Hop community was consumed with the back-and-forth between Noname and J. Cole. Both emcees had something to say about the other in tweets and on tracks.

The situation apparently began when Noname tweeted weeks ago about unnamed rappers that make music concerning Black plight but have not been publicly vocal about the social unrest following the murder of George Floyd by then-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Many observers felt the tweet was subtly directed at J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar.

Cole replied to the subtweet with “Snow On Tha Bluff” which was criticized for what was perceived by some as a misogynistic approach. The Dreamville Records head stood by the lyrics on his song, then Noname released her own response record titled “Song 33.”

However, Noname returned to Twitter on Sunday to apologize to her followers. The recording artist/activist specifically focused on her lyrical exchange with Cole for possibly taking the coverage away from the ongoing mission to combat police violence and systemic racism.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about it and I am not proud of myself for responding with song 33. I tried to use it as a moment to draw attention back to the issues I care about but I didn’t have to respond. My ego got the best of me. I apologize for any further distraction this caused,” wrote Noname.

She added, “Madlib killed that beat and I see there’s a lot of people that resonate with the words so I’m leaving it up but I’ll be donating my portion of the [song’s] earnings to various mutual aid funds. Black radical unity ✊ .”

Watch NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert Featuring Alicia Keys

(AllHipHop News) On Juneteenth, Alicia Keys released her latest song “Perfect Way To Die.” Last Friday also saw the R&B legend engaged in a head-to-head Verzuz match up with fellow celebrated pianist John Legend.

“I have felt called by music like I never have before.⁣⁣ I have been following its lead.⁣⁣ It has led me to the song ‘A Perfect Way to Die.’⁣⁣ The song title is so powerful and heartbreaking because WE are heartbroken by so many who have died unjustly⁣,” tweeted Keys.

This weekend was filled with content involving the 39-year-old native New Yorker. In addition to the new record and the Verzuz presentation, National Public Radio posted “Alicia Keys: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert” on YouTube.

The nearly 30-minute performance included Keys running through songs such as “Fallin'” and “Show Me Love.” NPR recorded the intimate concert on February 12, 2020.

“On a brisk February morning, Alicia Keys, full of effervescence, entered NPR through the loading dock wearing a canary yellow faux fur coat,” stated Abby O’Neill, Senior Strategy Manager; Strategic Initiatives for NPR Music and Tiny Desk Concerts producer.

O’Neill continued, “During our ride to the fourth floor, she joked about how she hadn’t been invited to play at the Tiny Desk. That, of course, wasn’t exactly true. We worked on and off for years to make this moment happen, and I can say wholeheartedly that it was worth the wait.”

Lil Baby’s ‘My Turn’ Remains At No. 1 For A Third Week

(AllHipHop News) Roddy Ricch, The Weeknd, and Lil Baby are the only acts to have an album hold onto the #1 spot for at least three weeks. Baby joined the list this week when My Turn stayed on top for a third non-consecutive week.

My Turn pulled in another 72,000 equivalent album units. The project debuted at #1 in March with 197,000 units before returning to the peak position last week for the first time in three months.

Lil Baby has had a memorable week. Besides his sophomore studio LP controlling the Billboard 200 chart, the Quality Control rapper also became a trending topic thanks to his “The Bigger Picture” single which addresses political brutality and the Black Lives Matter protests.

Elsewhere on this week’s Billboard 200, DaBaby’s Blame It on Baby climbed three slots to #3. Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding (#4) and Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes (#5) sit in the Top 5 too. Lady Gaga’s Chromatica remained at #2.

Rapper Shot & Killed In The CHAZ In Seattle

(AllHipHop News) Two people were shot inside of the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) after a shooting erupted early Saturday morning (June 20th).

The CHAZ is a controversial six-block radius in the middle of the city of Seattle controlled by protesters after police abandoned the local precinct during riots over the death of George Floyd.

Yesterday, shots were fired inside of the CHAZ and two people were struck and wounded.

According to reports, one of the victims who was struck was local rapper Lil Mob.

According to local news channel KIRO 7, CHAZ medics rushed Lil Mob to Harborview Medical Center, where the nineteen-year-old died from his injuries.

The other unidentified victim is in critical condition.

The cops just released bodycam footage of the chaotic scene, when hundreds of people surround and force the officers out of the “occupied zone.”

Last night President Donald Trump eviscerated Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and Governor Jay Inslee for allowing the protesters to set up the CHAZ.

He also threatened to send in the national guard to clear the protesters out in “an hour” during a speech at his campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma last night (June 20th.)

Last week, another rapper known as Raz Simone blasted Fox News talking head Tucker Carlson, for labeling him a gun-toting, warlord leader of the CHAZ and putting his life in danger.

D.L. Hughley Diagnosis Serious After Passing Out On Stage

(AllHipHop News) It turns out, D.L. Hughley’s shocking collapse on stage over the weekend was a little more serious then even he realized.

The comedian was on stage Saturday (June 20th) in Nashville Tennessee at Zanies Comedy Club when he suddenly passed out.

D.L. Hughley was taken to a local hospital, and later his representatives said he was suffering from dehydration thanks to a rigorous travel schedule over the past week.

Unfortunately, his health situation is direr than previously reported.

It turns out, D.L. Hughley has tested positive for the coronavirus according to a statement he posted on Instagram.

“I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away. I was what they call asymptomatic. I didn’t have any symptoms, the classic symptoms’ D.L. Hughley revealed.

According to D.L., he exhibited no symptoms until he passed out since he was asymptomatic.

D.L. Hughley has canceled the remaining dates on his sold-out run at Zanies.

He’s also quarantining himself in a Nashville hotel for the next 14 days.

NBA Youngboy Accuses J. Prince Of Clout Chasing Over Stolen Car Keys

(AllHipHop News) Is NBA Youngboy a disrespectful young ingrate?

That’s a question many fans are grappling with after he threw shade at Houston rap legend J. Prince over the weekend.

NBA Youngboy was annoyed with the Rap-A-Lot founder, for stepping into a thief on his behalf.

Earlier in this week, a group of kids broke into NBA Youngboy’s house and posted videos of themselves rummaging through his garage on social media.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by NBA youngboy (@nbayoungboy.16x)

The young thieves ended up with a chain, as well as the key fobs to NBA Youngboy’s Rolls-Royce and McLaren. They demanded $30,000 in ransom money to get them back.

NBA Youngboy’s scoffed at that the notion and claimed the thieves only managed to take his Gucci flip-flops.

J. Prince, who is a respected elder statesman and Hip-Hop is known for helping rappers get their stolen belongings back.

Just last year he managed to retrieve a chain which was stolen from the neck of YBN Jay when he was slashed during an altercation in New York with some gang members.

According to J. Prince, people associated the guys who robbed NBA Youngboy contacted him to end a growing feud with NBA Youngboy, who already has a credible reputation for not backing down from anyone.

“The lil homies that went into this place wanna make that right because they understand that, you know what I mean YoungBoy family is okay with me. To make a long story short, I got your keys to your Rolls Royce. I got your keys to your McLaren. You know, all the s— that they took,” J. Prince wrote on social media.

However, instead of seeing the gesture from J. Prince as an act of kindness, Youngboy took the opposite route.

“I’m good on them keys, gangsta. When you buy that s##t cash two keys come with the car anyways. Mind your f##king business mane,” NBA Youngboy snapped.

He proceeded to blast J. Prince for clout chasing by posting the video to the internet first, as opposed to getting in touch with him to settle the matter privately.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Lawyer Worries Death Is Eminent

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine infamously cooperated with the government during a RICO case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The government was able to secure lengthy prison sentences for the top leadership of the gang for drug-dealing, and violence committed on behalf of Tekashi 6ix9ine to further his rap career.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested in November of 2018, but he cut a deal and received a two-year sentence with time served.

Then, Judge Paul Engelmayer and former U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman (who just lost his job over beef with President Donald Trump) approved 6ix9ine’s early release over his asthma and the spread of coronavirus inside of the private prison where he was housed.

Tekashi 6ix9ine refused to go into the witness protection program, so he could resume his rap career.

Since then, 6ix9ine has released to hit singles, “GOOBA” and ‘”Trolls” featuring Nicki Minaj, while flaunting millions in cash, jewelry, and high-end sports cars.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has also relentlessly taunted his former gang buddies, as well as other rappers, and now his life is in real danger since his house arrest ends on July 30th?

“I’m concerned. Lots of people condemn Danny for cooperating with the government. Even a young gang member who wants to make a name for himself could try something,” Tekashi 6ix9ine’s to lawyer Dawn Florio told the New York Post.

Dawn Florio said she’s so worried about the rap star’s safety that she is urging him to relocate immediately and drop a fortune on security.

“He’s in great spirits but I won’t rest easy until he’s located in a different state with 24-hour security,” Florio said.

What Was DL Hughley Thinking?

(AllHipHop Rumors) So DL Hughley was caught out there. The brother was on a tour and passed out. A comedy tour. A comedy tour in the midst of a pandemic. It is hard to believe that DL Hughley, one of the most woke-est brothers ever, was out here touring during an international pandemic. But he was.

Now, first I want to say that I am so happy that he is not in any real jeopardy and that he will return safely to his family. But we have to look at this from a point of health and reasoning. He was touring with no masks inside at various comedy clubs throughout the country. Inside the club, nobody was wearing masks at all. They were just enjoying the show like nothing was wrong.

Now I just have to say that, DL was not symptomatic and did not seem to have any issues but, the fact is he could have spread his ailment through the audience and those that were even trying to help him when he passed out. We have to do better. And to be honest with you, I thought DL was one of those people that would be doing more responsible because he is such a thoughtful, smart, and even revolutionary voice in black America. What do you think?

Mustard & YG Hand Purchase Seven Fishbone Seaford Restaurants

(AllHipHop News) Mustard on the beat … on the shrimp … on the salmon … on the whiting.

Sounds funny, but your favorite Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ Mustard has teamed up with rapper YG to become co-owners of seven existing Fishbone Seafood restaurants.

The two West Coast homies have become business partners in the fast-food fish seafood franchise which has been in business for over 40 years.

“I met one of the owners at a gas station, and he told me we should do business,” YG explained. “I called Mustard and told him about the opportunity, and he was ready to go.”

The two just made a dope deal with Postmates to support the residents of Los Angeles who are food insecure and community organizations that serve the poor.

With the local delivery company, they donated $100,000 worth of food from their establishment in honor of Juneteenth, and the second annual Mustard Day.

Mustard who desires to give back just as much as he wants to make money says, “COVID-19 has hit Black and Brown communities the hardest. YG and I have not forgotten where we come from and feel a duty to support those who are less fortunate and have been our biggest supporters from the beginning.”

Rick Ross Ordered To Pay $8,500 Per Month For Child Support

(AllHipHop News) The Bawse and his baby mom Briana Camille have finally come to an agreement about the care of their two children.

Well, maybe not them … but a family judge, Christopher Edwards, has mandated that Rick Ross, the founder of Maybach Music, will pay $8,500 a month in child support.

Now you might be wondering where this money will go?

Judge Edwards believes that $6,000 a month should go to the children ($3,000 for Berkeley and $3,000 for Billion).

The rest of the money, $2,500, should be allocated for a nanny. A pregnant Camille needs to have a nanny because she is considered “high risk” as she is carrying a third child for Ross.

Rick Ross and Briana Camille were engaged in high drama just weeks before the judge gave them the results of a paternity test for her two children.

Despite the “Hustlin” rapper taking to social media to celebrate the births of his sons, after a nasty dispute between the two, they had to enlist the courts to come and settle what they could not do on their own.

Bobby Fishscale Agrees With B. Simone On “No 9 to 5”

(AllHipHop Music) Bobby Fishscale has finally released his first official single “No 9 to 5” with a cinematic trap visual. Bobby Fishscale is no ordinary southern rapper, but a trendsetter who uses music as an outlet for him to express his struggles and pain. The music video opens with a scorned lover clutching her cell phone furiously, calling Bobby Fishscale searching for his whereabouts. Bobby not only proved he is too busy for a love who may not understand or align with his financial lifestyle. She shouts “Bobby, you need to stop trappin’ and go get a 9 to 5 job”. Bobby Fishcale acclaims, “I got trap in my blood, got no time for no 9 to 5”. In his new music video for “No 9 to 5”, he cleanly displays the inner workings of a non-traditional career while lyrically exploring the pros and cons of a trapper’s lifestyle.

Most southern emcees purposely have specific lingo, trends, and makes use of the nightlife. Fishscale is a lifestyle that embodies style, hustle, and ambition to get to the bag by any means necessary. Recently, coming off the success of “Blue Cheese” single and “Hov Flow” freestyle, Bobby teased his viewers with his new video clip which was picked up across social blogs.

EXCLUSIVE: Carl Crawford Sued For $1 Million Over Drownings In Pool Of Death

(AllHipHop News) Former MLB star Carl Crawford is facing a brand new civil suit over a double drowning at his house in Houston.

A model named Bethany Lartigue, 25, and a five-year-old named Kasen Hersi drowned in Crawford’s pool during a barbecue on May 16th, 2020.

Little Kesan was at the BBQ with a friend of his mom’s and her two children, who were there to attend an album release party for an artist on Crawford’s 1501 Certified record label.

The five-year-old wandered off and eventually fell in the sprawling “zero-depth entry” pool.

Bethany went in to rescue the child, but tragically, they both lost their lives after being submerged in Crawford’s in-ground pool.

And now Carl Crawford should pay for his negligence, according to the five-year-old’s mother and father.

In a lawsuit obtained by AllHipHop.com, the mom and dad are suing Carl Crawford for at least $1 million, in an attempt to hold him responsible for the shocking deaths.

Liban Hersi and Jazmine Hernandez maintain Carl Crawford should be held responsible under the Wrongful Death Act and the Survival Statute, which claims he had a duty to provide reasonable care, supervision, and a safe and secure environment to his guests.

According to the boy’s dad, he has suffered extreme mental anguish since the loss of his child.

Ditto for Kasen Hersi’s mom.

“[Jazmine Hernandez] lost her son’s love, affection, solace, advice, counsel, and comfort. In addition, she suffered a loss of emotional support and experienced tremendous mental anguish, fear, grief, and sorrow and this is likely to continue for the rest of her life,” the complaint reads.

In May of 2020, Carl Crawford issued a statement on Bethany Lartigue & little Kasen’s accidental drownings in his pool of death.

“This weekend, a terrible accident occurred at my residence resulting in the tragic loss of two precious lives. It’s devastating I’m in complete shock and don’t really know how to move forward in this moment because my heart aches so deeply for the families,” Carl Crawford said.

1501 has acts like Megan thee Stallion, Kona Lisa and Erica Banks as artists on the roster. The label is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

DaBaby Hosts Panel; Sheriff Admits Arresting Protesters Was A “Catastrophe”

(AllHipHop News) DaBaby has been a frequent critic of police in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Back in December of 2019, the rap star was busted outside of his homecoming show. He complained the local cops had it in for him and he was unfairly targete for arrest because he is a rapper.

But last night (June 19th), DaBaby attempted to bridge the gap between himself, the local community, and the Charlotte Police.

DaBaby hosted a panel discussion with a variety of community activists and city officials called “Black Lives BEEN Mattered,” at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts and Culture.

Throughout the evening, the discussion centered around police reform, systemic racism and the Black Lives Matter movement.

According to the Charlotte Observer, DaBaby brought out several political heavyweights for his panel discussion.

Mayor Vi Lyles, City Council member Braxton Winston, ex-Carolina Panther Thomas Davis, and even Mecklenburg County Sheriff Gary McFadden showed up for the dialog with the community.

WFAE reports that DaBaby’s panel discussion proved to be fruitful, especially since Sheriff Gary McFadden admitted he caused a “catastrophe” in front of the Mecklenburg County Jail the day before.

Sheriff McFadden was criticized for arresting 43 people associated with an organization called Charlotte Uprising, which had set up an aid station to give masks, water, and general aid to offenders who leave the jail.

The cops claimed they had received several complaints about the organization harassing passerbys and they ended up forcing the organizers out of the area in a tense standoff on Thursday (June 18th).

“We wanted that to be peaceful,” Sheriff McFadden said. “We didn’t bring riot sticks. We didn’t bring tear gas. We didn’t bring pepper balls. We simply thought that we were going to be able to move them to another location.”

Sheriff McFadden blamed the confrontation on a separate group of protesters who came to the scene after reading messages on social media.

At the end of the event, Thomas Davis donated $100,000 to a bailout fund being run by the local ACLU.

And, DaBaby offered to host an ongoing event to allow meaningful dialogue between local leaders and the community.
