JaeyBxrd – “Seasons”

JaeyBxrd is a newcomer to the site and while hes a just breaking through to wider audiences the potential for this surging act is unbounded. This colorful and attention grabbing music video is laced with various visual effects that make this a HIGHLY entertaining 2 minutes. Intertwined with guitars JaeyBxrd laments about a twisted female that misleads him and switches with the seasons.

22Gz – “Said It’s Lit”

22Gz “Said It’s Lit” so it’s lit. Press play on this new drill anthem that’s ready to take over the streets of NY. Putting opps in the spliff and blazing them up, 22Gz leaves nothing left to the imagination in this cold hearted NYC visual.

Nardo Wick – “Me or Sum” ft. Future & Lil Baby

Jacksonville’s Nardo Wick is one of hottest artists in Florida right now exposing a market that was often overlooked. From the switch ups in the beat to Nardo’s unconventional flow, this kid is just different. He’s not a big guy but expect some real punchlines from Nardo on this track that includes a reckless verse from Lil Baby and a melodic intro and hooks from Future. RCA got one with Nardo, lets see where this goes.

Moneybagg Yo is Allegedly Relocating Outside of Memphis?

Too many tears continue to create muddled puddles of despair. Moreover, the untimely passing of the emerging talent Nuskie is resonating with Moneybagg Yo. Perhaps, this hollowing and unfortunate circumstance is serving as a motivating factor. So, now the Certified Speaker is allegedly relocating outside of Memphis.

Recently, a big rig was seen supposedly transporting a “fleet” of the Bread Gang boss’ vehicles outside out Tennessee. Granted that, the “Said Sum” spitter is obviously focused on the future. Perhaps, the move will help to foster and to sustain an unyielding peace of mind.

Furthermore, Mr. Gave it has yet to openly express his pain about the death of Nuskie. However, last month the “Scorpio” wordsmith honestly depicted his heartbreak. Often, when words fail photographs can aptly convey emotion.

Simply put, the Memphis MC chooses to use several broken-hearted emojis. Consequently, this works to ideally demonstrate his sentiment. Thus, it seems as though the Memphis musician is doing what he feels is in his best interest.

Accordingly, whatever Moneybagg Yo, chooses to do, he is wished the best.

Mary Fields aka Stagecoach Mary – The Life Of The Legend Featured In Jay-Z’s “The Harder They Fall”

As the first African-American woman to transport mail in the west, Mary Fields, AKA Stagecoach Mary, quickly became a legend. A lot of myths and rumors swirl around her.

Some claim that she was involved in a nasty gunfight, while others suggest that she fought back a pack of angry wolves using her trusty rifle.

Mail thieves in the Wild West quickly grew cautious of Stagecoach Mary, known for hard drinking and her skills fending off criminals.

So for Black History, let’s separate the fact from the fiction.

Mary Fields was born into slavery around 1832. Her actual birthday is unknown, and even the place of her birth is questioned today. Previously, historians have suggested her place of origin was Hickman County, Tennessee.

However, due to enslaved people being treated like property, their names were considered meaningless, so this is far from confirmed.

Fields grew up in the fields and was eventually freed during Emancipation in her thirties. After Reconstruction, she worked at the Ursuline nunnery in Montanna. Fields completed numerous odd jobs, including gardening, laundry, and construction. She was also responsible for taking the freight wagon to get supplies, regardless of weather conditions.

Fields’ refusal to be pushed around, harassed, or insulted led her connection with the church to falter. In 1894, Fields had an altercation with a hired hand. She shot the man in a way that didn’t seriously injure him while still putting him firmly in his place. After a confrontation with the Bishop, she was swiftly removed from the nunnery.

Stagecoach Mary was 64 when she eventually responded to an advertisement by the U.S postal service claiming they were looking for mountaineers to carry mail.

Fields was the fastest applicant to hitch the team of horses to the postal coach and was awarded the dangerous job of managing treacherous routes.

In this role, Fields became known as “Stagecoach Mary.” Her primary role as a star carrier was protecting the mail and delivering it without faltering. Fields never failed in this role, regularly pacing the distance when the weather made it impossible for wagons to travel.

According to Trica Martineau, Mary’s skills with a rifle matched her legendary status. In the book “African American Women of the Old West,” Wagner claimed that she “couldn’t miss a thing within 50 paces.”

While her tough demeanor and height helped her intimidate foes, Mary Fields was beloved by the locals who met her. She spent eight years protecting mail and delivering it to key destinations.

After eight years, Fields retired and remained protected and loved by the local community. Restaurants provided her with free meals, she was known to frequent saloons until women in bars were forbidden, and even in her later years, she was involved in plenty of altercations.

In 1914, her funeral had the largest crowd the local town had ever seen. The world of pop culture is still fascinated with Mary Fields as a historical figure.

In the AMC series “Hell on Wheels,” Fields was portrayed by Amber Shardie Robinson. More recently, she was portrayed by Zazie Beetz in the Jay-Z-produced hit Netflix film “The Harder They Fall.”

The movie is inspired by the amazing lives of real African-American outlaws, lawmen, and cowboys. It is one of the only Westerns whose main cast members are all black.

Chuck D Talks Too Short’s Most Political Move & Songs That Shook The Planet

Chuck D has been an ambassador of thought, speech, and sound since he burst on the scene as the frontman for Public Enemy in the 1980s. Now, in 2022, he continues his leadership with a new movement – Audible Original “Songs That Shook the Planet.” (Click here to hear it.)

In the audio series, he discusses the songs that helped shape the way we think and live. He also explains why Too Short is political and revolutionary in his own way. In an interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, he delves deep with the prolific rhymer about why he picked the songs and artists as well.

This journey is a lengthy examination of “conscious” music, both politically and socially. Songs That Shook the Planet peers into the backstories of Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Too Short, and more like Bob Marley. The series has another layer – Chuck D. As an elder statesman, he shares his personal stories as well and adds his twist, views, and opinions growing up to these songs.

Songs That Shook the Planet will have some recollecting a time when music could actually change minds for the better, alter legal policy, and even promote sustained social progress. And others, typically the youth, will be educated on a time when music truly spoke truth to power and created an atmosphere for uprising among disenfranchised people.

Chuck D and Lorrie Boula created Songs That Shook the Planet as a part of Audible’s Words + Music franchise.

Did Baby Blue Cooperate to a Avoid Hefty Prison Sentence?

On “S.N.I.T.C.H.,” Pusha T poignantly pens the phrase, “sorry n#### I’m tryin’ to come home...” Whether, that lyric aptly applies to Diamond Blue Smith is the burning question. Of course, the streets are murmuring. Did Baby Blue cooperate to avoid a hefty prison sentence?

In fact, the embattled entrepreneur vehemently denies all those scathing assertions. Moreover, through his Twitter page, he passionately pleads his case. Soon, he begs the question, “You think imma miss my chance on being a real n#### by telling?

Next, he proclaims his ability to easily eat his sentence. Then he boasts, “Gimme them 20 months, imma knock that s### out! Be home in no time!” Thus, it appears as though the self-assured entertainer has his ten toes firmly planted.

Furthermore, Blue Hefner readily illuminates what he claims is really going on. At length, the Pretty Ricky alumn delivers a host of sordid allegations. First, he offers, “Honestly, The informants in my case made me their SCAPEGOAT.”

Before including, “Made it seem like we was part of the scam but in reality, THEY SCAMMED ME & OTHER CELEBS They told lies on US for less time wrongly convicting victims,” he matter-of-factly urges. Finally, he admits, “Unfortunately, being ‘NAIVE” isn’t a defense in the court of law!”

Ultimately, Baby Blue is yearning to stay connected with his organic supporters. After, mentioning that “February 7th” is his surrender date. The confident creative then supplies his future mailing address.

Stay up, Baby Blue.

Several of the people named in the post reacted to the challenge over the last few days. On Wednesday, Wiz Khalifa used his Instagram Story in order to respond to Styles P.

“Hey Ghost, I hear you talking about a smoke-off. I love the thought of it,” said Wiz. “It’s all love, too, because I respect my OGs, everybody who raised me. I smoke and listen to all of y’all’s music. My motto is: if you can’t smoke weed to it, I don’t wanna listen to it, so you’re on that list. I love you.”

The Pittsburgh rhymer continued, “But the n##### you named – Snoop is your old head, Curren$y is your young n####, I’m Curren$y’s young n####, so you know what the young n##### do. We’re gonna bring some s### that’s gonna fold you like a chair.”

Previously, Berner, Smoke DZA, and B Real jumped into Styles P’s Instagram comment section to address his idea of a Smoke Olympics. Could a Verzuz-style event featuring the best weed smokers in Hip Hop be on the horizon?

“I don’t know big brother, [I’ve] been smoking twice as much on chemo, my tolerance dumb high right now… On 30/40 different strains. Tell [Verzuz organizer Timbaland] line it up… I’ll be back on my feet in May… Wiz is a sick f### when it comes to the chain smoke [too]. We need some private chefs and water… lol. Rihanna Glows in First IG Post, Proudly Debuts Baby Bump?

Recently, the Bad Gal makes a life changing announcement. So, along with her partner, A$AP Rocky, the growing couple reveals their pregnancy. In addition, to her proud papa, the world is seemingly wishing the couple nothing but love. So now, Rihanna glows in her first Instagram post. There she proudly debuts her growing baby bump.

Initially, when the Caribbean Queen releases the announcement photo, she receives overwhelming amounts of adoration. In fact, the official maternity shoot is now being shared with the navy. Consequently, the tasteful, four-picture photo shoot drips with joy.

Moreover, the included Miles Diggs’ photos effortlessly captures elation. Additionally, the accented accoutrements are incapable of stealing any attention. Albeit, a prissy pink Chanel puffer jacket and a rich gold Rollie, are on full display. However, they both fail to arouse the same level of satisfaction. Thus, the Bajan Beauty’s baby bump is the obvious center of attention.

Although, the iconic entrepreneur continuously pushes the boundaries. However, the accompanying social media caption is super nonchalant. RiRi narrates the pictures with a simplistic, “how the gang pulled up to black history month.”

Juice WRLD – “Go Hard 2.0”

If there’s one thing that Juice WRLD did, it’s go hard. As you can hear in this song he struggled with substance abuse so sad that he’s not here anymore. Thankfully his estate has preserved his music and they continue to give fans more music to continue his legacy like this aptly titled joint, “Go Hard 2.0.” It goes without mention that Steve Cannon animated visual is crazy. Nicki Minaj & City Girls Make Up After Collab Looked Unlikely To Happen

During a recent episode of The Morning Hustle, Nicki Minaj explained why she had no interest to work with City Girls. Minaj suggested old comments by Yung Miami and JT prevented her from wanting to record with the duo.

“A few years ago, I saw a video of [City Girls] and I asked someone on their team at the time about them,” Nicki Minaj told Lore’l and Headkrack. “I was thinking about jumping on one of their records that were out at the time. And then… social media happened.”

The Pink Friday creator added, “That’s just a human way to feel. If you hear somebody was saying things about you – not just one thing – but repeated things, repeated tweets for years… It’s let go, but it’s about, why would I work with somebody who doesn’t like me?”

It appears Nicki Minaj and City Girls have now settled their differences. Both sides took to Twitter to reveal the apparent bad blood between the two camps is over.

“Just had a great convo with @ThegirlJT & @YungMiami305. Let’s move on & make new memories y’all. 🦄,” tweeted Nicki Minaj on Wednesday afternoon.

Yung Miami quote-tweeted the Queens-raised emcee and added, “Queen tingz🦄💕.” Fellow City Girls JT member posted, “Sag sister! ❤️Thank you for your time, your advice! A true queen… love you!”

Lil Uzi Shocks Fans, Says He’s Bleaching His Skin

Lil Uzi fans were left shocked and confused confused after a series of tweets from the ” Eternal Atake” rapper announced he is bleaching his skin and his “brain been itchy.”

He also changed his Twitter profile picture, twice. Firstly, to Michael Jackson followed by Vybz Kartel.

He began with the announcement he plans to lighten his skin. “Bleaching my skin need umbrella,” Lil Uzi tweeted, with a big eye emoji.

Michael Jackson’s complexion changed dramatically over the course of his career and he was accused of bleaching his skin. However, it was revealed that he suffered from vitiligo.

Lil Uzi then caused fans to scratch their heads further with his next post.

“Oh yea announce I don’t know a person on earth @ all brain been itchy,” adding a weary face and a ghost emoji. “So if you know me and I reintroduce myself don’t get offended,” He concluded, “Thank you so much signed Boop.”

https://twitter.com/LILUZIVERT/status/1488933230929666049?s=20&t=JiJ9crmaDfiyoF30iL3wAg

He followed that up with, “Only thing I can remember is my grandma calls me Boop.”

He then changed his profile picture again, this time to Vybz Kartel. The incarcerated Jamaican dancehall artist famously bleached his skin and then launched a line of bleaching products

Lil Uzi Shares New Song Snippet

However, his next post, captioned with a bar of soap, lotion bottle, and the unamused face could shed some light on the shocking skin bleaching claims. He teased a snippet of a new song featuring the lyrics, “Bleaching my skin need umbrella.” Is a skin bleaching scare part of the rollout?

https://twitter.com/LILUZIVERT/status/1488948664496177156?s=20&t=JiJ9crmaDfiyoF30iL3wAg

Although it is unclear whether Lil Uzi is actually undergoing a skin-lightening process, he is sending a damaging message to his fans. Colorism is an issue that affects the black community worldwide, skin bleaching is alarmingly popular in some countries. This is not the message to be broadcasting during Black History Month or any other!

Benny the Butcher Wants Jay-Z Verse & Roc-A-Fella Chain, Already Has 2 Drake Songs

Benny The Butcher is promoting his new album but already has his sights set on future collaborations, and he’s aiming for the stars.

He stopped by Hot97’s “The Breakfast Club,” on his “Tana Talk 4” rollout and revealed he already has two songs with Drake and now he wants a Jay-Z verse, and a Roc-a-Fella chain!

“I definitely sent him some s###,” said Benny. “Like, ‘Yo, what you think about this? This some new s###, yo.'” When Charlamagne Tha God asked if Jay has “got on anything yet,” Benny said he’s still waiting.

“No he hasn’t. He hasn’t. He hasn’t got on nothin’ yet,” he said. “Hov not thinking about rap, I’mma be honest with you. And when he do, it’s like a ‘eureka!’ moment. He’s just thinkin’ about it in that moment, it’s not like he had his brain on it, but I’m dying to get—that’s like one of my—my s### is…I need me a Hov verse and I need me that Roc-a-Fella chain.”

“I Need My S###!”

However, Benny is determined to do what it takes to get that ice. “I’m auditioning for that Roc-a-Fella chain,” Benny insisted. “I need my s###.” Although he did admit it is inappropriate to ask, he’s an “eastside Buffalo n*gga.” Benny said playfully, “I’m throwin’ hints!”

Benny The Butcher X Drake

The “Plugs I Met” rapper also brought up his record with Drake. The song was discussed online for some time, but Benny revealed he actually has two songs featuring the 6 God.

“I’m not holding on to it.,” Benny replied. “You know how this s### goes. There’s so much yellow tape to put these records out.” he added, “If it was up to me that s### would be out.”

However, he said he’s happy to wait for the right time and admitted his pride in working with the Toronto rapper. “I’m a east side Buffalo n####,” he said. “Just the fact that a guy like that up there wanna tap in with me. The respect of my peers is really why I’m in this s###. That’s a really big trophy.”

Charlamagne told the Griselda rapper he heard the track and revealed, “Drake talking filthy on that record.” He also hinted at the type of bag Drake gets into on the song. “It’s not a Drake record featuring Benny,” he said. “It’s a Benny record featuring Drake.

Benny also mentioned Drake’s Griselda shout-out in his 2019 Rap Radar interview and explained that’s how the collaboration began. He said they have two unreleased songs.

Benny got in touch with Drake after the interview. “He was like yeah let’s do something, and he sent me a song, sent me a couple joints actually.”

Did 2 Chainz Copy His Newest Song With Moneybagg Yo From A Local Memphis Rapper?

So we aren’t ones to pick sides on any one issue with songs and who did what first, but the internets in Memphis were buzzing last week after 2 Chainz released his newest single “Pop Music” ft BeatKing and Moneybagg Yo!

While the song is doing excellent on radio, Youtube and streaming services, a Memphis rapper named Kenny Kane has been lead to believe that his song “Dats Yo Potna” ft BeatKing was stolen by 2 Chainz, Moneybagg Yo and producer BeatKing to make their song “Pop Music.”

According to Kenny Kane, fans have called, texted, and left hundreds of comments on his social media pages about the 2 Chainz song. They are claiming the chorus by BeatKing is the same on the two records and BeatKing is the producer on the beat and hook for both songs. You be the judge for yourself, maybe that’s just BeatKing’s sound.

We don’t know, but also if you are an old school Hip-Hop head you’ll remember that at one point in time there were two widely popular songs called, “Whoomp! (There It Is)” by Tag Team and “Whoot, There It Is” by 95 South.

At this point Tag Team’s version has been more successful. It has been featured in “Scoop There It Is” commercials for GEICO and various movies. Somehow this 2 Chainz, Moneybagg Yo, BeatKing and Kenny Kane situation in Memphis seems to be reminiscent of that Florida fiasco but only time will tell.

For history’s sake “Whoot,There It Is” by Miami group 95 South came out a month before fellow Dade County group Tag Team dropped their song “Whoomp! (There It Is).”
