Kanye West Plays Saint And Helps Hundreds In Need

(AllHipHop News) T.I. and Young Thug might be quoting scripture, but Kanye is living it.

In the Gospel of Matthew, there are a few red letters that it seems that Kanye is clinging to: “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home.”

While many brothers and sisters of this world are suffering because of the coronavirus pandemic, Kanye is stepping up to do his share by helping the hungry.

On Thursday, March 19, Yeezy dug deeply into his wallet and gave a hefty tithe to the Dream Center in Los Angeles and We Women Empowered in his hometown of Chicago.

According to reports, West gave to the charities to further fund meals for children, families and the elderly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Dream Center in Los Angeles is a “drive-thru” meal service that is not only open seven days a week but is currently feeding almost 7,000 means to people affected by the pandemic breakfast, lunch and dinner.

With the number of affected growing in the state, that amount of meals needed should increase over the weekend substantially.

The We Women Empowered is an amazing organization that is run by Josephine “Mother” Wade with the primary mission to deliver three meals a day to seniors on Chicago’s South Side.

“Today when I got that call, that Kanye West wanted to help the elderly in Chicago and he chose his hometown in the South Side, his old neighborhood, I was beyond words,” Josephine Wade told People following Kanye’s donation. “And in one phone call, in an instant today, our world was changed.”

So many have been affected by the disease. In the United States alone 12,392 cases have been confirmed and 195 people have died, increasing on a daily.

Fetty Wap Loses Millions To Former Tour Staffer

(AllHipHop News) Fetty Wap might have learned not to be so reckless with his mouth, especially after getting hit with a 7 figure payout for defaming a former employee.

Shawna Morgan, a former tour staffer filed a lawsuit against Fetty Wap aka Willie Maxwell II for bad-mouthing her in the industry, and not paying her what he promised.

According to Morgan, the New Jersey emcee defamed her reputation and would not pay her back for her work-related expenses when she worked for him back in 2017.

Three years ago, Morgan claimed that the rapper “breached” the contract that promised her that she would make 10% of whatever he made on tour.

Working on good faith, she paid her own expenses upfront. Fetty started paying her back, but then he stopped for some reason. According to court papers, he owed her almost a quarter of a million dollars.

Fetty’s position: Morgan is a thief and her thieving ways stopped additional bags for him to get in the future.

A jury saw it different and awarded Morgan $1,167,065 – $980,000 for defaming her, $66,294 for breach of contract, and $120,771 in interest.

Freddie Gibbs Banned From Instagram Over Wild Posts

Update: Gangsta Gibbs is back on Instagram!

(AllHipHop News) Instagram officially put rapper Freddie Gibbs on ice, in a way that all the doctors and politicians in the world are wishing they could do the coronavirus.

Or did they?

To the social media platform, his form of entertainment is just as sickening.

So much so, they have told the Bandana rapper that he violated the app’s Community Guidelines and his posting privileges have been revoked.

Shutting down his account came to no surprise to his over 581K followers, they know he gets wreck.

But, it was a disappointment when they heard the news from the guy whom many say had one of the best projects in rap music last year.

On his InstaLive, he shared that his IG will be terminated at 3 a.m. and that he would be moving the shenanigans to TrapChat where his handle is Skinny Suge.

“Just letting y’all ni##as know, s##t don’t stop,” he continued while barbecuing in the rain. “We’re taking this to muthafu#kin’ Trapchat [Snapchat]. That’s where we was at before anyway. ‘Skinny-Suge’ on the Trapchat. Even the sun goes down and heroes eventually die… F##K Instagram as staff, record label and as a muthaf##kin’ crew and if you want to be down with Instagram — then f##k you too! f##k you too! Fadia [Kader], we love you though. It’s all love.”

While he was upset and promised that he would not return to his account, that had only a few hours left before the suspension, he hopped back on to ask one question: “How are you gonna ban me during the quarantine?”

“These ni##az flaggin for me s### I posted weeks ago, he captioned on the damning post. “It’s just a n#### with no arms what’s wrong with that. F##k it ban me, b##ch.”

Eliza Reign Says Future Deliberately Draining Her Money In Paternity Fight

(AllHipHop News) Future’s alleged baby mama Eliza Reign has asked a court to dismiss all the rapper’s claims against her.

Eliza, also known as Eliza Seraphin, filed court papers in Broward County, Florida last summer, claiming the “Jumpman” hitmaker is the father of her daughter Reign.

He then filed a separate lawsuit against her, claiming she is ruining his reputation and asked for an injunction to prevent Eliza from speaking publicly about him.

Now Eliza has responded to the lawsuit, insisting that the rapper’s lawsuit is just his attempt to “intimidate, harass, and financially drain the Mother herein so that she will either dismiss or accept an unfavorable settlement in the paternity proceedings which are currently pending before” the family court.

In addition, Eliza states that while he has avoided any DNA tests she’s asked him to take, he is the father of her daughter.

Therefore, anything she’s said about him as the father of her child is not defamatory.

“To the contrary, his sexual relations with 7 other women with whom he has fathered children are all documented and widely reported on the internet and discussed on social media. It is unknown why he would think this one would be any different,” she concluded in the legal papers.

Eliza has asked for the entire lawsuit to be thrown out and has also demanded that Future pay her attorney fees.

She’s one of two women claiming to have given birth to Future’s babies – Cindy Renae Parker lodged a similar suit in Texas in October, claiming he is the father of her son Legend, who was born in July.

The rapper is refusing to acknowledge both children, insisting he only has five baby mamas, including his ex-fiancee Ciara, the mother of his five-year-old son Future Zahir.

Meek Mill’s Girl Plays It Safe And Cancels Baby Shower Over Coronavirus

(AllHipHop News) The coronavirus has really affected the rap community.

Not talking just the concerts that have been canceled or the hosting dates that have been deaded. Studio sessions have been axed. Flights put on pause.

No one can do anything. Not even have a community celebration for an emcee’s newborn.

According to sources, Meek Mill’s pregnant girlfriend, Milan Harris had to pump the breaks on her baby shower in fear of the current COVID-19 outbreak.

As a soon to be mom, she canceled her baby shower, opting to self-quarantine herself, for her personal safety and to keep her little bundle of joy secured.

Many believe that her social media accounts are telling on her, revealing that the bronze-skinned beauty and fashion designer is snugged away on a tropical island in the Caribbean with her man.

In one post on her Instagram, she gives us a peek into her thoughts about motherhood.

“I’ve been trying to record my pregnancy journey as much as I can remember. So when my baby gets older they (I’m saying they because I don’t like saying “it”….but it’s only 1 baby) can see the entire journey. I’ve wrote 2 letters to my baby explaining my cravings, how I feel, what they’re doing while in my stomach, my plans, etc…

“Oh and due to the corona virus I’ve decided to cancel the baby shower. What are some more tips I can do during my pregnancy to make it as memorable as possible?”

Read Common’s Sweet Poem To Queen Latifah On Her 50th Birthday

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Common has shared his admiration for longtime pal Queen Latifah in a poem in honor of her 50th birthday.

The hip-hop pioneer, real name Dana Owens, marked the age milestone on Wednesday, and Common was among the famous friends to pay tribute on social media.

But instead of just sharing a simple birthday greeting, Common came up with a touching piece of poetry, in which he recounted the beginnings of the Just Wright co-stars’ close bond after crossing paths in New York City when he was “an unsigned artist seeking a dream.”

A post shared by Common (@common)

He continued, “Years later as an artist I would get to meet her, And get to know her as Dana and I was still inspired by Latifah.

“Because she was she doing movies, TV shows, rapping and could sing, But it was the unstoppable light inside her that made her The Queen.

“Later on we go on to do a movie together, and on this path we would find a friendship and bond that would be forever,” he added.

“So whenever I see the Queen I know that everything is Alright, I Love you Dana when GOD made you HE did it Just Right.”

Common, born Lonnie Rashid Lynn, also shared a sweet caption for his poem, writing, “Happy Born Day Dana! You are one of the greatest human being I’ve ever met. You have inspired me in ways that you can’t fathom and you continue to.

“Thank you for being the Phenomenal Goddess that the Creator made you to be and sharing that light that smile, that gift, that flow, that voice, that acting presence and skill, that energy, that love and that joy with us. I celebrate you. Happy Born Day. Love You Rashid @queenlatifah”.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Sued For $150 Million For Ruining Shooting Victim’s Life

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing his third lawsuit in as many days, after a woman who was shot during a revenge shooting he allegedly arranged sued him for $150 million.

Legal papers were filed by plaintiff Jane Doe on Thursday, who details the incident on July, 16th 2018 when she was hanging out in a courtyard at Brooklyn’s ‘Smurf Village’ complex.

According to the woman, several members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang were also in attendance at the complex, filming a music video.

And when Tekashi, real name Daniel Hernandez, heard that some of the gang members responsible for his kidnapping were there, he allegedly ordered his crew to shoot them.

As the bullets started flying, the plaintiff claims she was hit in the foot, and also hurt her back and knee as she fell to the ground after being shot.

She required surgery, physical therapy and mental health treatment after the shooting, and couldn’t continue working at her retail job for Century 21.

She also says she had to scrap her plans to attend the police academy.

While Tekashi apologized for the shooting in open court and offered to pay the woman’s medical bills, she said that’s not enough – hence her lawsuit.

Responding, Tekashi’s attorney Dawn Florio told TMZ.com: “It’s suspicious that the plaintiff only sued Daniel Hernandez who was never identified as the shooter in her case. The plaintiff did not sue the persons involved in her shooting. To be clear, Daniel did not shoot her.”

Tekashi hasn’t had a good month in the legal stakes – he’s also facing a lawsuit from online retailer Fashion Nova and another from a former friend who claims the rapper ordered his shooting.

Anthony ‘Harv’ Ellison was found guilty in October for helping to snatch Tekashi off the streets of Brooklyn in 2018, on behalf of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

Tekashi is currently serving a two-year prison sentence for crimes linked to his activity within the gang.

Jeddah World Fest Featuring Janet Jackson, Future, Tyga & More To Air On AXS TV

(AllHipHop News) It appears the coronavirus pandemic will cause people to undertake social distancing for the near future. While at home, viewers can entertain themselves this weekend by watching performances from last year’s Jeddah World Fest.

AXS TV is scheduled to broadcast the star-studded concert on Sunday, April 5 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. The event was filmed live at Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah International Stadium on July 18, 2019.

Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Janet Jackson ran through classic records such as “All For You” and “Rhythm Nation.” The lineup also included southern rhymer Future and West Coast rapper Tyga. Former One Direction member Liam Payne and EDM deejay Steve Aoki hit the stage as well.

“Jeddah World Fest was a truly historic occasion in more ways than one,” said Anthony Cicione, General Manager of AXS TV. “The evening puts the spotlight on some of the biggest names in music, coming together to entertain a sold-out crowd with powerhouse sets featuring their most enduring hits.”

Cicione adds, “This is a must-see event for dedicated music aficionados, and AXS TV is proud to give viewers the best seat in the house as we bring this incredible special to the U.S. for the first time ever.”

There were complaints about American artists choosing to perform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Muslim nation has faced criticism from international organizations over gender segregation, LGBT discrimination, lack of political freedom, and other human rights violations.

Nicki Minaj pulled out of the Jeddah World Fest in 2019. The NYC-bred emcee said she decided to skip the gig after “better educating” herself on the issues. The Human Rights Foundation praised Minaj for withdrawing from the concert.

Lil Uzi Vert Instructs His Fans To Stop Saying “F*ck Ebro”

(AllHipHop News) In 2016, Ebro Darden nearly p##### off an entire generation of rap fans when he tried to get Lil Uzi Vert to rap over the “Mass Appeal” beat off Gang Starr’s 1994 album Hard to Earn. It looks like the Hot 97 host is now taking some credit for Uzi’s current success.

“So glad I pressed Uzi Vert 4yrs ago… He proved me wrong! Exactly what I love… Hope more artists do the same when I question your talent or skills,” tweeted Ebro on Monday morning.

The 45-year-old radio personality’s message came not long after Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake was officially named the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Apparently, supporters of the Philadelphia rhymer had a problem with Ebro’s tweet.

However, Uzi took to Instagram to instruct his fans to leave Darden alone. The rap star told his followers, “Stop saying ‘f*ck Ebro’ too. Stop saying that. He just old! He ain’t know no better. He old… I ain’t know no better back then. Only thing I knew is they was old!”

Ebro responded to Uzi’s suggestion that he is out of touch with Gen Z by posting five emojis. Additionally, there is a sense of irony to a 25-year-old Lil Uzi Vert currently calling Darden old because in 2017 he tweeted, “If you 25 and up you a old n*gga point blank.”
