Singer/actress Coco Jones became a trending topic on social media overnight. The Bel-Air cast member was one of the winners at the 2023 BET Awards in Los Angeles.
Coco Jones took home the trophy for Best New Artist. That category included Ambré, Doechii, FLO, GloRilla, Ice Spice and Lola Brooke. Additionally, Jones performed her 2022 single “ICU” at the ceremony.
“Thank you so much, BET,” said a teary-eyed Coco Jones after accepting her Best New Artist award. “I remember when I did 106 & Park with y’all, I was sixteen… It’s been a long journey.”
The 25-year-old former Disney Channel star continued, “Thank you guys for rocking with me the whole time. Thank you so much to my culture who has stood beside me.”
Coco Jones earned an RIAA-certified gold plaque for “ICU,” which lives on the What I Didn’t Tell You EP. “ICU” also peaked at No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 18 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Before releasing What I Didn’t Tell You, Jones appeared in Disney Channel’s Let It Shine television movie alongside Tyler James Williams and Trevor Jackson. She currently plays Hillary Banks on Peacock’s Bel-Air drama series.
Patti Labelle became unstuck during her Tina Turner tribute performance at the 2023 BET Awards Sunday (Jun. 25) after a teleprompter snafu during her rendition of “The Best.”
The R&B/Soul legend maintained a brave face despite forgetting some of the lyrics but powered through her set during the ceremony at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
“I’m trying, y’all,” she said to the audience as she launched into the first chorus. However, she soon forgot the lyrics once again. “Oh lord,” she said before singing, “What if I can’t see the words? I don’t know” to the song’s tune. “I’m trying, y’all,” she repeated.
Patti LaBelle maintained her professionalism and persevered, throwing in adlibs to pay homage to the late “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll“. “God bless you, Tina Turner!” Patti LaBelle declared at the end of her performance. Check out the clip below.
Although she forgot the lyrics, an issue with the teleprompter confounded the blunder. A BET spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was an extraordinary privilege to celebrate the life and legacy of Ms. Tina Turner at BET Awards 2023. Having the incomparable Ms. Patti LaBelle on our stage honoring one of her contemporaries was an equal privilege. Due to the crowd’s enthusiasm, the teleprompter was obstructed, obscuring Ms. LaBelle’s view of the lyrics. Nonetheless, we couldn’t be more grateful to Ms. LaBelle for lending her incredible talent to this moment.”
Patti LaBelle Felt “Honored” To Pay Homage To Tina Turner
While rumors of a rift between the two icons surfaced online following the performance, Patti Labelle said she was “honored” by the opportunity.
“Tina was a trailblazer and someone I have a tremendous amount of respect for because of all that she overcame and all that she accomplished,” she told Rolling Stone ahead of the awards. “She was and is everything! And I am honored that I am able to pay tribute to her in this way.”
Latto stole the show at the 2023 BET Awards Sunday night (Jun. 25), performing her viral hit “Put It On Da Floor” before walking away with one of the most coveted awards.

During her acceptance speech, Latto paid tribute to her fellow nominees and hailed “all the women who paved the way for this to even be possible.” She also acknowledged the “category is going crazy this year,’ before shouting out a host of other women worthy of the nod.
“Shout-out to some of the women I think should’ve been nominated,” Latto said. “Doechii, I love you, baby. Maya The Don, Flo Milli. Oh my god, I can’ think. Mello Buckzz, TiaCorine. Quavo and Offset have put whatever differences they may have had between them to reunite for a special tribute performance in honor of Takeoff at the 2023 BET Awards.
The Migos members surprised the audience at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles for the 2023 BET Awards Sunday night (Jun. 25), joining forces to pay tribute to Takeoff, who was fatally shot last year. The show marked their first time performing together since the tragic shooting.
Viewers at home and in the crowd returned from a commercial break to a dimly lit stage with two figures dressed in black appearing on either side of a spotlight in the center of the stage. A recording of Takeoff’s verse on the song “Hotel Lobby” begins as a symbolic rocket ship ascends from the stage.
Quavo and Offset rap along to Takeoff’s verse before the rocket symbolically blasts off to be replaced by an image of the late rapper.
“We doing this for Take!” Offset yelled before Quavo added, “If you ready to do it for The Rocket let me get a YESSIR!”
Quavo then asks Offset, “You ready, ‘Set?” before the pair launch into their 2016 hit “Bad and Boujee.” Check out their Takeoff tribute below.
Quavo And Offset 2023 BET Awards Takeoff Tribute
Meanwhile, after their set, T.I. ran into the duo backstage after what was arguably the feel-good moment of the night. He greeted them with a warm embrace while declaring, “Love to see it!” They exchanged a few words, with Tip adding, “That’s something they gon’ talk about in ten years from now.”
He also shared a clip from their moving performance. “For The Rocket ❤️🩹🚀” he wrote. Offset also posted the clip, adding, “Do this s### for the fam cuz this s### bigger than me #LL🚀”
An overwhelmed Busta Rhymes had to take a minute to gather himself during an emotional acceptance speech while receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 BET Awards in Los Angeles Sunday (Jun. 25).
The Hip-Hip icon received his flowers after a video tribute highlighting his vast contributions as a rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Diddy, Pharrell, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliott, Dave Chappelle, and Mariah Carey were among those to pay tribute to Bus-A-Bus via a video presentation.
Swizz Beatz and Marlon Wayans had the honor of introducing Busta Rhymes with the comedian praising the “brilliant” artist. “We are all happy for Busta in this room ‘cause everybody knows he deserves it,” Wayans stated.
Busta Rhymes choked up as he began his lengthy acceptance speech.
“All right. So, I’m going to wear it on my sleeve. I do want to cry,” Busta said before breaking down in an emotional moment while the crowd cheered him on. After a brief pause, he reflected on his early career in the first half of the 1990s and his journey in the more than three decades since.
“It’s just me trying to do my duty to continue to advance the culture and continue to contribute in a significant way,” he stated. “I see so many people in here that I have known and grown with for a long time, you’re watching me grow and I love y’all and I know y’all love me.”
Busta Rhymes Pleads With Rappers To Stop Beefing
Elsewhere during his speech, Busta Rhymes urged his peers to “stop these little petty beefs that we be doing.”
He continued, “Y’all messing up the bag. Y’all messing up the energy. I don’t like when I talk to these dudes that run these streaming platforms and they talking about, ‘You know, we turning the consumer off because there’s so much little this and little that going on with you rappers.’ We’re gonna stop that. We’re gonna love each other, and we gonna get to this money.” Watch Busta Rhymes’ entire speech below.
After his speech, the Brooklyn representative joined the tribute performances. Busta Rhymes teamed up with Spliff Star for a medley that also included Swizz Beatz and Rah Digga. Coi Leray joined the tribute with “Players,” and Scar Lip rocked the stage with “This Is New York.”
JT and Lil Uzi Vert got into an explosive row at the BET Awards Sunday night (Jun. 25), culminating in the City Girls rapper calling her boo a “groupie” and throwing her phone at them before storming out of the ceremony.
The stars were in attendance at the 2023 BET Awards for a night of celebrations and performances, including a homage to Hip-Hop to celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary. Offset and Quavo also reunited for a joint tribute to Takeoff.
The night started off well for Lil Uzi, opening the ceremony with their hit “I Just Wanna Rock.” However, it ended with them trailing after their girlfriend JT after a scuffle.
Video clips of the incident show JT yelling at Lil Uzi in a heated argument. She called the Philadelphia artist a “F###### groupie” before hurling her phone at them while yelling, “B####!” Uzi remained seated while JT continued yelling expletives at them. “The f### wrong with you, b####? B#### ass n####, she added before storming off.
While it’s unclear what caused the altercation, the commentary on one video says JT “spazzed because Uzi was talking to Ice Spice.” Reality TV starlet Natalie Nunn shared a video from the awards showing Ice Spice seated next to a stoney-faced JT and Lil Uzi.
Ice Spice arrived at the 2023 BET Awards at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, wearing a stunning see-through gown. After a quick outfit change, she also performed a medley of her hits during the ceremony.
Rapper and activist Jaden Smith is openly talking about his use of psychedelics to heal his mind and body. This year, he joined others like Aaron Rodgers, Melissa Etheridge, Eric Andre, Sasha Cohen, Michael Pollan, and John Powell Mackey to talk about plant medicine at the Psychedelic Science Conference, a five-day event sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies in Denver, CO.
12,000 people showed up at the conference.
The “Icon” rapper said for him dealing with this natural medicine is about connecting to nature.
He said, “I think it’s really about my connection to nature that I’ve always felt throughout my whole life. And when I was younger, one of my favorite things to do would be to go and surf. And I always knew that I was connected with the ocean. And I always felt the spirit of the ocean to say, and I was surfing all the time, and I had a surfing teacher, and they would tell me, you know, the ocean is alive, nature’s alive. This is spirits and nature. And I was like, wow, this is amazing. And I just got so hooked with the idea of being able to ride the wave of the world and of nature.”
Smith said he also learned about this connection to nature when one teacher exposed him to the environment and all of the ways that humans were doing to impact the earth’s natural ecosystem. He said that type of information changed his mindset— even as a very young boy.
“I really wanted to understand nature,” he said, adding, “I really wanted to understand my place in nature and just be more in and I’ve always wanted to ground myself, even before I always even knew what that was always wanting to be outside, in the grass on top of a hill looking at a sunset.”
He continued by saying, “I think it’s that connection of nature that feel within me, that makes me feel the connection with psychedelics, you know.”
According to Smith, when he got older and “discovered psychedelics and realized just the effects” it had on him, he was able to access a “deeper, deeper, deeper layer of a connection with nature” that he had never considered to be possible.
“That’s why I became such a public part of everything that I do. Because, you know, when I go out in the world, and I learned things, I feel obligated to share that with my community and the various movements I’m a part of,” he declared.
Even his Misfits movement is connected to his understanding of self and nature.
“Misfits is, you know, it’s a movement of individuals around the world, dedicated to raising the consciousness of humanity through art and science,” the true Hip-Hop royal stated. “That comes in the form of music and albums that comes in the form of informative clothing. It comes in the form of writing, sometimes. We put it onto social media. It also comes in the form of movements and gatherings where people come together and meet at a store or meet at a movie theater and watch a documentary.”
And one of the things the group does is … explore the magic of psychedelics.
Statik Selektah mourned with the rest of the Hip-Hop community when he learned beloved De La Soul member Trugoy The Dove (AKA Dave) had died. It was February 12, less than three weeks before De La Soul’s first six albums would finally land on DSPs after an exhaustive fight with Tommy Boy Records. It was going to be a monumental year for the trio, but the Amazon Music event planned for March 2 at Webster Hall—which was intended to serve as a celebration for the group’s hard-won victory—wound up doubling as a memorial.
So it seems poignant Statik Selektah’s latest album Round Trip includes the single “Round Trip (For Dave)” featuring fellow De La Soul member Posdnuos. The emotive track marks the first time Pos has grieved for his fallen friend on a record.
“When I sent him the beat, I had a feeling he was gonna do that,” Statik Selektah tells AllHipHop. “Obviously, he hadn’t made anything since Dave passed. It was only a couple of days after. He sent it back and I was blown away by it. De La Soul is such a big part of my life. My first actual tour was with them. I actually became friends with them.”
Like many others, Statik Selektah was aware Trugoy The Dove had been wrestling with health issues, including congestive heart failure and diabetes, but his death still came as a shock.
“We didn’t think that was going to happen right then,” he says. “I had known about the Webster Hall event that they would ever have for the release of the streaming albums. Everybody was looking forward to that. They hadn’t announced it yet. But then to find out he passed away before he got to see all the albums go live. The timing couldn’t have been worse.”
Statik Selektah recognizes how fortunate he is to have such legendary artists contribute to his work—and he doesn’t take it for granted. In addition to Posdnuos, Round Trip boasts features from Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Bun B, AZ and M.O.P., to name a few. But considering it’s his tenth time doing a compilation album, he has a sense of who’s going to be a good fit for each particular track. One particular song, “Unpredictable,” was a milestone moment for him.
“You gotta look for new ideas and new vibes, but to do a Wu-Tang song was really big for me,” he says. “The whole story behind that song is really crazy. Before it came out, I was really stressed out ’cause I’d been hearing RZA is not easy…I don’t want to word this wrong. I just heard it’s not that easy to put a Wu-Tang joint out like that.
“Raekwon was like, ‘Make sure you talk to the Abbot, make sure you talk to the Abbot.’ Literally three days before the song dropped, I got on the phone with the RZA and he loved it, he gave me his blessing, let me use the logo and all that. It couldn’t have worked out better. I got very lucky with that one. It all came together within a crazy, 30-minute span a couple days before that song came out. Shout out to RZA.”
While he admits the behind-the-scenes stuff was “more complicated,” making the song wasn’t. In fact, every track on the album came together quite smoothly.
“The Bun B with Ab-Soul and Conway—that’s Griselda and TDE on a song,” he says. “Putting Bun on there kind of bridged the gap. He’s one of those people in Hip-Hop that everybody respects. The rest of the album was jut different approaches with different songs. But I always take pride in introducing some new cats, like not necessarily brand new, but cats people haven’t heard of yet.”
Find the full album below and look out for Part II of the Statik Selektah interview soon.
Quando Rondo will reportedly remain behind bars after a judge decided more time is needed to digest the case. According to WJCL 22 News, Judge Tammy Stokes denied bond for the rapper, who was arrested on drug and gang-related charges in Georgia earlier this month.
During the hearing, the rapper’s attorney argued he wasn’t a threat to the community, but Judge Stokes remained unconvinced. As for the prosecution, they not only deemed him a flight risk but also claimed he was the “leader” of the Savannah chapter of the Rolling ’60s Crips.
Quando Rondo was named in a 49-count indictment that includes 18 other defendants. He was charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances act, one count of participating in criminal activity in association with a street gang and one count of use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances.
Quando Rondo’s name became synonymous with King Von following the Chicago rapper’s November 2020 murder. As reported at the time, Quando Rondo and his crew were entangled in an altercation with King Von and his entourage when he was fatally shot.
But Quando Rondo maintains it was self-defense. He claimed he was napping in a car outside of the Atlanta hookah lounge when he was awakened to find King Von and his crew approaching him and his associates. Footage of King Von throwing punches at Quando Rondo prior to the gunfight appeared to support the theory. Surveillance videos later showed Quando Rondo helping Lul Timm get to the hospital. Lul Timm, however, was ultimately charged with King Von’s murder.
Since then, Quando Rondo seems to have a target on his back. In 2022, he and his friends were shot in Los Angeles. He survived, but his friend Lul Pap was killed.
Samuel L. Jackson will not let his image be used in movies “in perpetuity.”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Marvel film star revealed that he is apprehensive about the use of artificial intelligence in the entertainment industry.
“People just started worrying about that? I asked about that a long time ago,” the actor, 74, told the publication before explaining how he has had his body “scanned” for “Star Wars” and Marvel projects.
“The first time I got scanned for George Lucas, I was like, ‘What’s this for?'” the “Pulp Fiction” star continued. “George and I are good friends, so we kind of had a laugh about it because I thought he was doing it because he had all those old guys in ‘Episode 1,’ and if something happened to them, he still wanted to put them in the movie.”
“Ever since I did ‘Captain Marvel,’ they did the Lola project where they de-aged me and everything else, it’s like, ‘Well I guess they can do this anytime they want to do it if they really want to,'” he added.
The actor also acknowledged that AI “could be something to worry about” in Hollywood and advised actors to pay close attention to their contracts.
“Future actors should do what I always do when I get a contract, and it has the words ‘in perpetuity’ and ‘known and unknown’ on it: I cross that s**t out,” he stated. “It’s my way of saying, ‘No, I do not approve of this.'”
Jackson can currently be seen playing Nick Fury in the Disney+ series “Secret Invasion.”
Kim Kardashian has confirmed she has a new crush. During an appearance on Hailey Bieber’s “Who’s In My Bathroom?” series on YouTube, the SKIMS founder played a game of “Truth or Shot” in which she was asked whether she had a crush on anyone at the moment.
“I almost want to take a drink because I kinda want it to come true,” she told Bieber. “I’m more into privacy these days.”
Noting the mystery man was not aware of her feelings, Kardashian downed a shot instead of revealing his name. The beauty mogul and television personality split from comedian Pete Davidson in August last year.
In a recent interview with Jay Shetty, the 42-year-old insisted that she’s in no rush to find another man.
“I definitely will take my time, and I think there’s so many factors, especially when you have kids and being mindful of people that enter in your life,” she said.
“What’s so funny is my friends wanted me to meet someone, so we go to New York, and we go to (bleeped),” she told Scott Disick during the reality show. “That’s like my spot because there’s a private room downstairs, but then on the internet, it was like, ‘Kim reconnects with Pete at this place.’ But it was the place I would go and have my secret dinners with Pete and he’s probably like, I know what she’s up to.”
When asked if the new man was up to par, she confirmed, “Oh, (he) so meets the standards.”
Tasha K recently dropped some explosive videos. The salacious flicks make some staggering allegations, which relate to Offset’s alleged cheating. In turn, Cardi B blasted Tasha K’s alleged infidelity rumors about her hubby.
Perhaps a multi-million dollar beef is what’s motivating the gossip blogger. Whatever the case may be, Tasha K continuously spills the tea. As it pertains the Bronx-bred rapper, the tea is proving to be expensive. However, the mess is still on the menu.
Whether contributing to rap or addressing social issues, Cardi B usually speaks her mind. This case is no different.
“I’m that type of b#### that a n####’s gonna cuff,” she said via her Twitter Spaces diatribe. “I don’t go outside like. So when I do be outside, their voices start trembling. They be like, ‘H-H-H-H-Hi Cardi.'”
Clearly confident in her appearance, Cardi B continued, “They be nervous because they know I’m a bad b####.” Next, Cardi B discussed what a divorced future may look like before asking a simple yet poignant question.
“What do y’all be trying to accomplish when y’all be bringing my n#### up?” she concluded. “Like, what is it?” Just press play on the clip above.
Casanova was reportedly in a common area of the jail doing pushups when he was accosted by another inmate, who then jumped on him, stabbed him and taunted him for abandoning his gang affiliation.
The cuts on his head were inflicted from behind. As a result of the assault, Casanova sustained numerous injuries, requiring stitches on his head and hands. Most of the injuries on his hands were defensive wounds.
The violent incident underscores the potentially deadly consequences of Casanova’s decision to leave the gang, a circumstance his lawyer argues should be considered during his sentencing.
The rapper is currently facing charges for his alleged involvement in the notorious street gang, with a possible sentence of 15 to 60 years.
“His public renunciation of the gang has and will continue to pose a threat to his life which will make his future incarceration far more onerous than contemplated by our judicial system,” Casanova’s lawyer James Kousouros said.
In a stunning move, Casanova’s lawyer is using the testimony of a former associate of 6ix9ine to plead his case.
Roland “Ro Murda” Martin, a former enemy of Casanova and an ex-member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, also renounced his gang membership while serving a nine-year sentence. He, too, was brutally attacked and stabbed multiple times. His experience parallels Casanova’s.
Martin’s repudiation of the gang and the subsequent attack on him made his time in prison “far worse than for any ordinary inmate, more painful, more alarming and more scary,” as noted by Judge Englemayer, who eventually granted Martin a below-guidelines sentence of 66 months.
Casanova’s lawyer said the assault reinforced the argument for a lighter sentence for his client, given the harsh and dangerous conditions they are forced to endure due to their past affiliations.
Casanova’s lawyer also asserted the government’s characterization of Casanova’s involvement in the gang is exaggerated.
“[Casanova] began his distancing from the gang years ago, as we have detailed in our initial submission, as he publicly advocated against gang membership relating in detail the destruction of the gang life from his own personal experiences,” Kousouros explained.
Queen Latifah, Billy Crystal and Dionne Warwick are among this year’s Kennedy Center honorees.
Leaders at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts have picked Queen Latifah, Crystal and Warwick to receive their annual lifetime achievement honors alongside Bee Gees star Barry Gibb and opera singer Renée Fleming. Actor/rapper Queen Latifah told The New York Times she was stunned when she heard the news.
“I was just in shock for a second,” the rapper said. “I just sat there and looked out the window in New York City and thought, ‘Wow, can you believe this?'”
“It will allow us a moment to be part of the fabric of America, which is really what we are,” she added. “It will be one night where the people who are in the highest offices in the most powerful nation in the world will honor Hip-Hop music and one of its daughters.”
Billy Crystal told the publication he got emotional when he found out about the honor.
“I just thought of all the people I worked with, all the frustrations and ups and downs and middles,” he recalled. “And it’s all condensed into hearing them saying you are one of the honorees.”
Kennedy Center president Deborah F. Rutter called this year’s group of honorees “an extraordinary mix of individuals who have redefined their art forms.”
The Kennedy Center Honors are set to take place at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington D.C. on December 3.
Jacquees was reportedly arrested in Atlanta on Friday (June 23), not long before he was set to hit the stage. But after a quick search of Gwinnett County Jail’s very public inmate records, it turns out he was released on $3700 bond the same day. Charges include simple battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, both misdemeanors.
Jacquees’ mugshot started making the rounds shortly after his arrest. In the photo, his lip is noticeably swollen and bruised. Judging by the droopiness of his eyes, many of his fans concluded he was likely drunk. Whatever the case, it’s getting a lot of attention.
Some people were shocked by his appearance, calling him “ugly.” As one person noted, “That mugshot of Jacquees is crazyyyyy. But that goes to show everybody has those bad days and bad pictures ..that’s why I always say keeping yourself is the true beauty cause the most beautiful person in world can be so ugly if they couple of months without upkeep.”
Another said, “That Jacquees mugshot is hilarious lmao lil leprechaun,” while another added, “eewww that Jacquees mugshot is ugly.”
Still, fans of Jacquees are in his corner and applauded him for keeping it quiet. “Jacquees flew cross country, coached a basketball game AND hosted a club performance in another state all before his mugshot got leaked,” one fan tweeted. “We never woulda knew cuz he kept it P.”
Jacquees, clearly aware of the buzz the photo has created, took to Instagram on Saturday (June 24) with a selfie. There was still bruising under his eye, but his lip was no longer swollen. He wrote in the caption, “Business.”
The singer has yet to explain what exactly happened over the weekend that led to his arrest. He’ll be expected back in court soon, where he’ll be forced to tell his side of the story.
Jim Jones returned with a diss track and accompanying video aimed at Pusha T on Saturday night (June 24), just hours after teasing it online. The Diplomats rapper chose the same beat Clipse used during Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton debut in Paris last week.
For more than two minutes, Jones lays into King Push with lines like, “The only beef you know n###a is Arby’s or the Big Mac/When we drive through, we drive-by in the car with the big macs./That last s### you dropped was garbage take that s### back.”
He also claims Pusha T is highly overrated, saying, “That s### was trash we gonna let them get a do over/They got you gassed, they must think you’re the new Hova/You a 4.0, n###a, I jumped in the new rover/Your brother still jumping on the bed, tell him ‘Move over.'”
Of course, Jones wasn’t there and soon took aim at Pusha T’s fashion sense. “You be dressing kinda weird man you really need a stylist/Plus we all know what you identify with/Plus you kinda, sorta dress, n###a, you been a fly b####/And then he said I was trying to chase a feature/N###a’s a gorilla cause he got some apes in his features/All my gorillas got stones, I’ll have these apes come and meet you.”
He continued, “Don’t talk about my jewels that was a cheap shot/These is all VVS’s this ain’t the cheap rock/I don’t know if you’re a rapper, I should treat you like a street opp.”
The public discourse between Jim Jones and Pusha T began in April, when Jones questioned Pusha T’s inclusion in a list of 50 greatest rappers. More than two months later, Pusha T chose Williams’ fashion show to debut a new Clipse song in which he appears to sub Jones. As both rappers began to trend on Twitter, Jones shared a video of himself laughing alongside a reference to Pusha-T’s 2013 album, My Name Is My Name.
“Let me know if they serious cause my name is my name #Capo,” he wrote before adding in his Instagram Stories, “Let me know when they really ready.”
Apparently, Jim Jones then got to work. Listen to the track in full above.
Machine Gun Kelly’s daughter has given her father a new tattoo. The rapper revealed his new ink to his Instagram fans, completed by his 13-year-old daughter Casie.
Kelly posted a carousel of photos to the social media platform, with one displaying the father-daughter duo mid-tattoo at the French music festival Hellfest.
“My daughter said summer vacation, we ended up at hellfest,” MGK captioned the post.

The photo carousel also included images of his performance at the festival, standing shirtless on the ledge of his hotel and a snap of the singer and his daughter at a Dolce & Gabbana shoot. Machine Gun Kelly shares Casie with his ex, American basketball player Emma Cannon. The teenager also contributed some spoken word to Kelly’s 2022 LP, Mainstream Sellout, on album interlude “Wall Of Fame” featuring comedian Pete Davidson.
Tasha K is standing strong. While again slamming Cardi B, she exposed videos of Offset’s alleged mistress. In addition to blasting the rap couple’s marriage, Tasha K is adding even more insult to injury. Last week, she spoke on Takeoff. Of course, that elicited a contentious response from Cardi B.
Now, the colorful commentator is making another, even more salacious allegation by releasing a couple of videos. Within these flicks, a woman details her alleged and illicit encounters with the Migos rapper.
The media personality is admittedly having trouble paying the $4 million defamation judgment she owes Cardi B. However, she’s not having any issues continuing to report on Bardi’s so-called life. The YouTuber served a follow-up video where the alleged side chick brings up many things. Among the most surprising is the couple’s daughter, Kulture.
By all means, the purported receipts are up front and center. The woman details the alleged indiscretions via social media. According to her, she has “known Offset since 2013 up until last year and this is at their home in Vineland in Hollywood,” the candid Twitter caption read. “She says that’s her daughter’s bed she is sitting on and in the camera. She is with #SugeKnight now.”
Let’s keep things clear, this woman claimed to have been in Cardi B’s California crib. She suggested her alleged affair with Offset started 10 years ago. Finally, she was comfortable. So, comfy that she captures footage while allegedly sitting on Kulture’s bed—interesting.
Overall, Tasha K continues to focus on her passion of serving unfiltered news reports. Hopefully, she’s able to keep that wine out of a brown paper sack. Shout out to one’s resourcefulness and attempts to bounce back.
Despite what some people might think, I’m no Barbie-doll b####. From a young age, I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of dolls. Their flawless, symmetrical faces and perfect features captivated me. As I grew older, I realized that achieving that doll-like look was something I deeply desired. However, it’s important to note that my journey towards a more feminine appearance is not about changing my gender. I identify as a male and have no intentions of altering that aspect of myself.
I embarked on my cosmetic surgery journey at the age of 18, starting with Botox and fillers in my forehead. Over the years, I’ve undergone various procedures to achieve the doll-like appearance I yearned for. My first plastic surgery was a nose job, investing $6,000 to refine the shape of my nose and align it with the doll aesthetic. The procedure aimed to create a smaller, more symmetrical nose that complemented the overall look I was striving for.
To enhance the prominence and fullness of my lips, I underwent two lip lifts, which cost me $3,500. This procedure helped create a more pronounced cupid’s bow and reduced the gap between my upper lip and my newly shaped nose. A facelift was another step I took in my transformation, costing $3,500. This procedure involved tightening the skin and underlying tissues, helping me achieve a youthful and taut appearance that aligned with the doll-like aesthetic.
For that perfect doll smile, I invested $3,900 in a complete set of veneers. This allowed me to have flawless, aligned teeth that added to the overall doll-like look I aimed to achieve. Regular maintenance is essential to preserve the doll aesthetic, so I’ve invested a significant amount, $64,000, in Botox injections, 1ml of lip filler injected every month, and other cosmetic treatments.
These treatments target specific areas such as my lips, chin, under-eye area, and cheeks, helping me maintain facial contours and a flawless appearance. To ensure a smooth and hair-free complexion, I underwent laser hair removal, which cost me $1,500. My most recent procedure was my second blepharoplasty, and cat eye lift, where excess fat or skin was removed from my eyelids to make my eyes appear rounder. The total cost of my surgeries and treatments adds up to over $82,500.

Any spare money I get goes towards improving my look. While this investment might seem significant, it’s a reflection of my commitment to realizing my vision and embracing my unique identity. Each procedure has brought me closer to the doll-like appearance that resonates with my true self.
The financial aspect pales in comparison to the emotional and psychological rewards I’ve gained throughout this transformative journey. Critics may argue that I’m trying to emulate the Ken doll look, but I disagree. I believe that achieving the Ken doll appearance would be more challenging, given my naturally feminine features. I embrace the girly aspects, such as experimenting with different wigs and makeup. What matters most to me is my own happiness and the sense of fulfillment I experience when I look in the mirror.
Walking down the street, it’s not uncommon for heads to turn and for whispers to follow in my wake. Some may stare or even snigger, but their opinions hold no power over me. I understand that my appearance is unconventional, and I accept the attention it brings, both positive and negative. I’ve encountered individuals who have called me a “monster,” but their words don’t faze me. At the end of the day, everyone has the right to define their own path and appearance.
Dating, too, has its unique challenges. I seek a partner who is open-minded and comfortable with the concept of plastic surgery. I’ve learned to navigate the world of romance amidst the sea of critics and find someone who appreciates me for who I am beyond my physical appearance. It’s important to clarify that my decision to undergo cosmetic procedures is entirely my own. I understand that my look may be polarizing, but it’s a personal choice that brings me joy. I revel in the artificial look, admiring those who have undergone extensive surgeries and exude an aura of self-care and confidence.

Some may assume that my doll-like appearance correlates with a lack of intelligence, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. If people took the time to engage in conversations with me, they would discover that I am a normal, intelligent individual. My appearance may be unconventional, but it doesn’t define my intellect or personality. As I continue my journey towards plastic perfection, I remain committed to exploring new possibilities and techniques.
I have no plans to halt my surgeries or revert to a more natural look. Instead, I see the mirror as a canvas, where I spot new aspects of my face that can be enhanced or improved. It’s an exciting journey, one filled with endless possibilities for self-expression and transformation. The pursuit of the doll aesthetic is deeply personal to me. It’s not about conforming to societal standards or seeking validation from others.
Rather, it’s an exploration of self and an embrace of my unique identity. I am proud of the choices I’ve made and the confidence I’ve gained along the way. My goal is to continue evolving and pushing the boundaries of what beauty means to me, all while staying true to my gender-neutral identity. In a world that often clings to narrow definitions of beauty, I challenge those norms and celebrate individuality. I encourage others to embrace their own unique journeys and redefine beauty on their own terms. Each of us has the right to explore our identities and express ourselves authentically, free from societal expectations.

While my transformation may have come at a significant financial cost, I see it as an investment in my self-esteem and personal happiness. The financial figures associated with my procedures may appear daunting to some, but for me, the emotional and psychological benefits outweigh any monetary considerations. The sense of empowerment I feel when I look in the mirror and see the reflection of my true self is priceless. It’s important to note that my journey is ongoing. I continue to monitor my appearance, seeking out opportunities for self-improvement and refinement.
But it’s not just about physical changes; it’s also about the internal growth and self-acceptance that come with it. I’ve learned to love myself unconditionally, embracing all aspects of who I am, including my quirks and imperfections. Throughout this process, I’ve encountered both admiration and criticism. I understand that not everyone will understand or support my choices, but I remain steadfast in my conviction to live authentically. The most important opinion in this journey is my own, and as long as I stay true to myself, the opinions of others become inconsequential.

In sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to embrace their own unique paths and challenge societal beauty standards. We are all individuals with our own definitions of what beauty means to us. By celebrating our differences and embracing the diverse ways we express ourselves, we can create a more inclusive and accepting world. To those who may question my choices or hold negative opinions, I urge them to reflect on the power of empathy and understanding. Judgment and prejudice only serve to perpetuate harmful stereotypes and limit our collective potential for growth. Let us instead foster a culture of acceptance, where self-expression is celebrated, and individuality is cherished.
As I continue to navigate my journey as a gender-neutral individual with a doll-like aesthetic, I am grateful for the support and love I have received from those who understand and embrace me. Together, let us challenge societal norms, break free from the confines of conformity, and empower one another to live our lives authentically and unapologetically. In the end, it is our ability to embrace and love ourselves that truly defines our beauty. And in a world that often seeks to confine us within narrow definitions, it is our duty to celebrate our uniqueness, to shine brightly as our truest selves, and to inspire others to do the same.”
Janelle Monáe has learned to love her stretch marks.
During an interview for StyleLikeU’s “What’s Underneath” video series, the 37-year-old singer/actress admitted she was self-conscious of her stretch marks when she was younger, but she has since embraced them.
“I love my stretch marks,” Monaé declared. “When I was getting stretch marks as a teen, I used to be really self-conscious of them, I mean, going swimming was like hell for me because I was like, ‘Oh my god, everybody’s looking at my stretch marks.'”
The “Hidden Figures” actress continued, “I sorta liked them now, and when I see them on other bodies, specifically (on the hips), it’s really sexy, so I like my little stretch marks.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Janelle Monáe shared what she thinks her style, specifically her trademark tuxedo, says about her.
“It’s about the spirit, sometimes the spirit is dressed up (in a tuxedo), sometimes the spirit is no clothes,” she said. “(The tuxedo) says like honoring the uniform, the people who have been of service, like my parents, it says swag, sexiness, like so sexy and it says pushing back against gender norms.”
