50 Cent Wants Post Malone On Pop Smoke’s First Studio Album

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent has reached out to Post Malone in the hopes of securing a guest verse for the debut album of late rapper Pop Smoke.

50 Cent has taken it upon himself to complete Pop Smoke’s first studio release, which the rising star had been in the midst of finishing at the time of his Los Angeles murder last month.

Earlier this week, 50 revealed he would be executive producing the posthumous project, tagging fellow artists Drake, Roddy Ricch, and Chris Brown in his Instagram post, indicating his interest in getting the trio involved.

Now 50 has announced the as-yet-untitled album will be released in May, and he’s eager to have rockstar rapper Post Malone featured on the new music too.

“Set for release in May,” 50 captioned side-by-side images of himself and “Welcome to the Party” MC Pop Smoke, whose early success was frequently compared to that of his fellow New York native.

He then added, “Oh yeah @postmalone i’m gonna hit ya phone, i need you on this).”

The artists 50 has mentioned online have yet to publicly respond to the appeals, but in a follow-up post in the early hours of Wednesday, he told fans only some of the musicians he’s called upon will be contributing to the project.

“I’m looking at everything through a different lens, everybody i call ain’t coming but i’m doing what i have to do to make it hot…,” he wrote.

And 50’s message had Snoop Dogg offering up his services, as the hip-hop icon commented, “I’m waiting on the call cuz.”

Pop Smoke was just 20 when he was fatally shot during a home invasion at his Hollywood Hills property in February.

His murder is still under investigation, although police have yet to name any suspects or make any arrests.

Tinashe Talks Being Pitted Against Black R&B Singers Like Aaliyah & Beyoncé

(AllHipHop News) At one point, it seemed as if Tinashe would be the next music megastar. Unfortunately, the Kentucky-born performer’s career stalled which led to her parting ways with RCA Records.

Tinashe recently sat down with E!’s Just The Sip to talk about her journey in the music industry. According to the “2 On” hitmaker, she had to deal with constant comparisons to other entertainers.

“First, it was the superstars which was like, ‘Whoa! An honor, but how are you guys gonna pit me against these people?'” said Tinashe “It would be, ‘Tinashe, the new Aaliyah? Tinashe, the next Beyoncé!’ I would be like, ‘You guys are setting me up left and right. These people are icons.'”

She added, “It started off there, and then it was everyone. I literally could name six different people at one point that has been Tinashe versus Jhené [Aiko], Tinashe versus FKA twigs, Tinashe versus all the R&B girls. Literally any Black girl – Cassie. All the whisper singers, whatever that means.”

This is not the first time Tinashe has discussed racial issues or being compared to other women in the music business. Back in 2017, the mixed-race artist complained that colorism was one of the reasons the Black community did not accept her.

Tinashe was also quoted saying, “There are hundreds of [male] rappers that all look the same, that sound the same, but if you’re a Black woman, you’re either Beyoncé or Rihanna. It’s very, very strange.”

Following her departure from RCA, Tinashe signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. The 27-year-old released her fourth studio album in November 2019. Songs for You spent one week on the Billboard 200 chart after peaking at #147.

Lizzo Blasts TikTok For Taking Down Her Swimsuit Videos!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Lizzo really is doing her best to make people love her body and there’s nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is when she is getting discriminated against by these social networks. Is that happening? Lets look further.

She says TikTok keeps taking down her swimsuit videos and she wants to keep her body positivity! “TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” she says. “But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why? Tiktok… we need to talk.”

Lizzo charges that other women that show off their bodies are allowed to seduce us free and clear. But, she seems to be getting shamed for it.

I don’t have the actual video, but here are some Lizzo bathing suit pictures.

J. Prince Responds To Being Named In Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawsuit Against 1501 Label

(AllHipHop News) The drama surrounding Megan “Thee Stallion” Pete versus 1501 Certified Entertainment does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Meg filed a lawsuit against the record label, claiming Carl Crawford’s company owes her unpaid profits and attempted to bar her from releasing music.

While he was not named as a defendant, James “J.” Prince was cited in Pete’s suit. The Rap-A-Lot Records founder is accused of using “strong-armed intimidation tactics” against individuals in the industry on behalf of Crawford. Megan also alleged Prince was responsible for conducting an anti-Stallion smear campaign.

Crawford denied Meg’s allegations. The former Major League Baseball player said, “It’s a whole lie. Nothing is true that she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”

J. Prince has now also addressed the ongoing legal battle by posting a lengthy statement on Instagram. He stated that Megan’s lawsuit is “wrapped around lies and stupidity.” The Art & Science of Respect author suggested that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation – which is Megan Thee Stallion’s current management team – was engaging in “culture vulture” techniques in order to poach the rising talent from 1501.

Prince wrote:

BREAKING NEWS ALERT‼️ Houston we have a problem Megan, along with Roc Nation Employee Geetanjali Grace Lyer decided to include my name in a lawsuit wrapped around lies and stupidity. We gone get this sh*t straight. Now let’s deal with the root of this issue. The root is a familiar one for me coming from a successful independent record labels perspective. We as independent record labels make many sacrifices along with our artists. After we do all the hard work together with artists, it’s a known fact that major record labels and established managers attempt to poach the fruits of our labor. One of the first things they do is criticize the deal that raised that artist from the dead. These record labels and managers don’t want sh*t to do with these artists until the hard work, risk, sacrifices, and resources have been spent by the little guys. This is the same technique of the culture vultures. I didn’t allow this to happen to me when New York and LA record labels attempted to take my artists- so they labeled me as malicious for fighting back. I didn’t allow it then so I damn sure ain’t gonna allow it to happen to 1501 Records or any of the other independent record labels that I’m associated with. For the record we have no problem with negotiating with Megan but we do have a problem with dictators. I find it very interesting that Roc Nation would allow their employee to sign an affidavit and statement full of slanderous lies on my methods of doing business when we have partnered together on several occasions. I don’t think Jay Z is aware of this but only time will tell. Megan even though she signed an affidavit, talked down, and lied in court documents on me… I understand how lawyers brainwash artist to milk them of funds in lawsuits that they know they can’t win. Megan seems to be a perfect candidate for self destruction. Any artist in the music industry will testify that a 40% profit share is a great deal especially for an unestablished artist that til this day has never delivered an album. To end this I give credit to where credit is due. Megan along with her mother, who evidently could read (God rest her soul), negotiated a good deal. I extended my hand to meet with Megan, T Farris, and team personally for further negotiations. Unfortunately it never happened even though we’re all in Houston, because she’s being controlled by the very people who started this sh*t. The homie Carl was an angel in Megan’s eyes when he was spending hundreds of thousands investing in her career. Now that he’s helped her become a successful artist she stopped paying him his percentage and views him as the devil. I’m glad money don’t make me. I make money.

Summer Walker Deletes Instagram After Backlash For Spreading Fake Coronavirus Video

(AllHipHop News) Many people around the world are deeply concerned about a possible coronavirus pandemic. The disease has already killed thousands of people across the globe with a reported 11 deaths in the United States.

As health officials try to keep the public informed, social media is ripe with misinformation. For example, R&B singer Summer Walker faced backlash for posting a video from 2018 that claimed Chinese people were purposely transmitting coronavirus.

When it was pointed out that she was spreading “fake news” that perpetuates xenophobia against Asians, Walker responded by commenting on her Instagram Story. She wrote:

Lol people so dumb, talking about I’m racist and that video was from a long time ago. It don’t matter if it was from 20 years ago, bottom line that sh*t nasty. & IDGAF if a black, white, yellow, or green person did that sh*t, it’s still nasty… Lmao, I literally don’t give a f*ck anymore this app. It’s not that serious. For my label, I’ma just delete all this sh*t.

The “Come Thru” singer then deleted her entire Instagram account. However, Summer Walker’s Twitter page is still active. On February 28, before the latest controversy, she uploaded a photo to the social network of herself in an airport completely covered. The picture was captioned “not today.”

G Herbo Releases Music Videos For “Gangbangin” &”Feelings”

(AllHipHop News) G Herbo is still riding high off the arrival of his PTSD album on February 28. According to industry prognosticators, the LP is projected to open with 45,000 – 50,000 first-week units which would give the 24-year-old rhymer his first Top 10 entry.

In addition, Herbo dropped two separate music videos this week. “Gangbangin” landed on YouTube on March 3. “Feelings” was published last night. The latter MV became one of the Top 25 trending vids on the platform.

G Herbo tapped A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, BJ The Chicago Kid, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Polo G, and Jaquees for contributions on PTSD. Vocals from the late Juice WRLD appear on the title track which also features Chance the Rapper and Lil Uzi Vert.

“I HOPE THIS ALBUM HELPS YOU START OR CONTINUE TO HEAL, tweeted Herbo. The Chicago-bred rapper once known as Lil Herb has also explained how his upbringing in the inner-city led to a posttraumatic stress disorder diagnosis. He is now going to therapy to improve his mental health.

Nick Cannon: Our Beef “Might Have Gotten A Little Too Intense” For Eminem & 50 Cent

(AllHipHop News) Yes, Nick Cannon is still talking about his now-one-sided beef with Marshall “Eminem” Mathers. The host of Wild ‘n Out and The Masked Singer appeared on 99 Jamz, and he was asked about the status of his feud with Slim Shady.

“I don’t know. I feel like, at this point, we had a lot of fun with it during the last season of Wild ‘n Out, and when we get back to it, the jokes ain’t ever gonna stop,” said Cannon. “I’m gonna match your energy wherever you at. I didn’t start it, he came at me. I just swing heavy.”

While the actor/comedian claims he did not start it, the latest round in the back-and-forth with Eminem began after Cannon expressed wanting to “whoop” Em’s ass over his then-wife Mariah Carey during a 2019 interview on T.I.’s ExpediTIously podcast. Eminem then fired back with bars on Fat Joe’s Family Ties album later that year.

Cannon went on to tell the Afternoon Get Down that he is not afraid of Eminem or his musical protégé Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. 50 Cent eventually jumped into the battle in defense of the Shady Records boss

“Everybody was saying, ‘You better not say nothing.’ Why not? Ain’t nobody scared of him,” Cannon declared. “Not even with 50, ain’t nobody scared of 50 either. I’m like, ‘Let’s go!’ I match energy.”

The 39-year-old Hollywood veteran continued, “It might have gotten a little too intense for them. He’s still welcome to come on my show whenever he wants to get down.” Cannon also saluted 50 Cent’s moves in the television space, and he discussed wanting to work with the Queens-bred mogul.

Megan Thee Stallion Announces Release Date For ‘Suga’ Project

(AllHipHop News) The last several days have seen Megan Thee Stallion publicly clashing with her 1501 Certified Entertainment label over finances. It looked as if 1501 was attempting to stop Meg from releasing new music until the conflict was resolved.

Reportedly, a court order gave The Stallion permission to move forward with dropping a new collection of tunes. The Houston rapper took to Twitter to reveal the 9-track Suga, which features Kehlani and Gunna, will arrive on March 6.

Suga will be Megan’s first body of work since the Fever mixtape which came out on May 17, 2019. Her discography also includes 2018’s Tina Snow EP. It’s not clear exactly how the 25-year-old southerner is classifying her new project.

Besides dealing with a legal fight with 1501, Megan Thee Stallion is also releasing Suga during a period when her most recent singles have not seen a high level of commercial success. “B.I.T.C.H.” fell off the Hot 100 chart after just 4 weeks. The soundtrack records “Ride or Die” and “Diamonds” did not chart at all.

Did Obama Secretly Help Joe Biden Out?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Now, I know nobody really cares about this in Hip-Hop…or do we? Joe Biden flew forward on Super Tuesday to soar past Mike Bloomberg and others to the forefront of the presidential race. People truly are overall active in politics, but just very ignorant. I am not different and that is why I am writing this rumor.

The word on the street is that Obama may have been helping Joe Budden, I mean, Joe BIDEN out as he duked it out in the Democratic Primaries. Remember, Bernie Sanders is like “the man” and he’s leading “a revolution” they say. I don’t believe any of that nonsense about a revolution, even though I do “feel the Bern” from time to time. When we are talking about THE ONE that can beat Trump, we are talking about Joe Biden. That is what I believe.

Now, Joe Biden is my dude, but I heard a bit of a rumor recently. You saw how Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Amy Klobuchar dropped out and immediately endorsed Joe just in time for Super Tuesday. After that, Joe really moved forward. Also, after the votes were in, Bloomberg dropped out of the race and then endorsed Joe Biden. All of this works against Bernie Sanders, who has a very grassroots and “every person” approach to the race.

I heard, and I don’t know how, that the very quiet Barack Obama has been working his magic behind the scenes to help clear a path for his man Joe!

I think Joe is going to win this thing, but beating Trump is another story! Anyway, I am hearing Obama will emerge after the party reveals who will represent the party. He will then rally all the troops! Thoughts?

Ill Will, A Ward, Ahdi Boom, Charron, And Others Battle It Out In Atlanta At “The Getback”

Saturday was a legendary day for battle rap as Rare Breed Entertainment hosted ‘The Getback’ at the Music Room in Atlanta, Georgia. Battle rap fans and junkies would have gotten their money’s worth for the 8 hours worth of battle rap that took place. 10 battles took place between 20 skilled lyricists and MC’s.

Atlanta’s own KT squared up against Bridgeton New Jersey’s own Floss Da Boss to kick off the day of battle rap. KT started the battle strong but Floss came through even stronger with even harder bars to win the first round. Floss would go on to sweep the rest of the battle and come out victorious.

The only female battle was between H-town bred rapper Lady J and Blve Cocaine. Lady J came out strong in the first round and so did Blve, who even started her set off by using a ladder to look down on her opponent. In a close first round, Blve Cocaine took it home. In the second round, extensive gunplay and female anatomy bars were thrown around with Blve Cocaine winning the second and third rounds as well.

The third battle was between ATL’s own Wavyington and Florida battle rapper Bone Carr. The third battle was only one round. Bone Carr came out strong, and Wavyington looked as if he was going to take the battle home. However, after stopping for some water, he lost and could not regain the same momentum. Bone Carr came out on top.

The next battle was between Charlotte bred rapper Zay and Toledo, Ohio mc P.A.Y.N.E. Like the third battle, this one was also one round as well. Zay took this one home through his delivery and gunplay metaphors. P.A.Y.N.E. had a very solid performance as well but failed to capture the crowd like Zay. P.A.Y.N.E.’s sister/personal hype man was onstage with her brother and was letting the crowd know when her brother’s bars were going over the audience’s head.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ac9L1_VZH9o

The next battle between Rosenberg Raw and Snake Eyez was one of the more entertaining battles of the day. Snake Eyez started off strong in the first, coming with quick delivery and hard bars that caught the crowd’s attention. Rosenberg Raw came through and began to poke fun at Snake Eyez’s visual impairment, jokingly putting on an eyepatch to even the playing field. Rosenberg walked off with the first round, but Snake Eyez came through even harder for the second round taking off with a win and evening the score 1-1. However, Snake Eyez approach began to wear on the crowd, leaving Rosenberg Raw to win the third round and the battle.

The sixth battle was between Brooklyn native Showoff and Michigan’s own Mackk Myron. Showoff started the battle off hard, delivering gunplay metaphors that were out of this world and had the audience going crazy. However, Mackk came through aggressive but more humorous approach, making fun of Showoff’s singing career while using extensive movie and tv show metaphor bars and winning the round by saying to Showoff that he will “lick yo mamas ass and spit in yo face.” Showoff came looking for blood in the second round coming even harder having an aerosol and Pistol Pete metaphor that had the crowd going nuts. Mackk’s approach didn’t change much in the second round, evening the score to 1-1. In the top of the third round, Showoff stayed with the aggressive approach, but Mackk Myron came through even harder, with even more jokes about Showoff’s singing career and using gunplay and cartoon character metaphor bars that had had the audience saying “you can’t spell smack without the Mackk in it!” by the end of the battle.

The longest and most electrifying battle was between Canada native Charron and ATL bred battle rapper Chef Trez. Charron started the battle off spitting for about 8 minutes straight. Just in the first round, Charron cut deep, basically calling Trez on his battle rap abilities and calling him a one-trick pony. He seemed to have won over the crowd. But if there’s anything you can say about Trez, is that his ability to rebuttal is something out of this world. Who would’ve thought after the berating Trez took from Charron that Trez would have been able to come back. This back and forth between two battle rap heavyweights followed for the next two rounds. The fourth round was a freestyle round and had the two going back and forth four bars at a time. By the end, it was hard to pick a winner even though it seemed like more of a draw.

The next battle was between Virginia bred Bigg K and New Jersey native Ah Di Boom. Bigg K started the first round off by passing around what seemed to be legal papers stemming from Ah Di’s legal case that landed him in prison for 2 years. Bigg K labeled Ah Di as a snitch, but Ah Di was able to flip the script and would spend the next 2 rounds dropping bars calling Bigg K a racist and talking about the American justice system as well as how his incarceration impacted him and his family. By then end, Bigg K’s reveal he pulled at the beginning would backfire on him, leaving Ah Di victorious.

The second to last battle of the night was between Kansas City native A.Ward and Los Angeles bred battle rapper Danny “Bar God” Myers. Christianity was a big theme throughout the whole battle. Myers started off by dropping some of the best bars of the night, utilizing Christian metaphors and talking about A.Ward being white. However, A.Ward is known for his rebuttal ability, which is what allowed him to walk off with the first two rounds. In the third round, Ward talked about Myers’s personal family issues and used Ward’s metaphor for a parallel universe against him, allowing him to walk off with a win.

The last battle of the night was between legends 40 Cal and Ill Will. The nearly an hour-long battle began with 40 Cal rapping for nearly 10 minutes straight. Ill Will started his set off a little differently, talking to Mackk Myron, who was also on stage, pretending to cook some grits. He then turned around and finally acknowledged 40 and began his tirade. Will won the first round as 40’s raps seemed to run too long for the crowd, resulting in the crowd losing interest. In the last two rounds, 40 tried started rapping about Will’s family issues, calling will a deadbeat dad for leaving his baby mama while she was still pregnant and saying how even though Nas won the beef between him and Jay-Z, Hov still had sex with Nas’s baby mama, insinuating that 40 is doing the same to Will’s. At one point towards the end of 40s, last round set his squad even dropped a beat and 40 started rapping to it. However, Will came out on top by discrediting everything 40 said and making fun of him for taking care of kids that aren’t his.

Nicki Minaj Husband Busted For Not Registering As A Sex Offender

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj’s husband is in federal custody, after being arrested earlier today (March 4th).

According to reports, the Feds nailed Kenneth Petty for failing to register as a sex offender over his 1995 conviction of first-degree rape, when he was 16.

Prosecutors claim Petty moved from New York to California in July of 2019, presumably to be with his wife Nicki Minaj since the couple got married in October of 2019.

Kenneth Petty came on the cops’ radar after he was stopped for a traffic violation in Beverly Hills in November of 2019.

When the police pulled his records, they realized Petty had failed to register as a sex offender in California and put him in jail.

Kenneth Petty was released on $20,000 bond but he was taken into custody again today because he never bothered to follow up to register with authorities.

Kenneth Petty appeared in court with his lawyers, where he pleaded not guilty.

He’s currently in custody getting together a $100,000 bond.

Once he’s out of jail, Petty’s travel will be restricted to southern California, and he must stay away from drugs, including legalized marijuana.

Petty’s rap sheet also includes a conviction for manslaughter.

I am a longtime supporter and admirer of ABFF and I am honored to be an ambassador and continue to help foster new talent.”

Kim Kardashian Talks Prison Reform With President Trump At The White House

(AllHipHop News) Kim Kardashian met with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday to discuss criminal justice reform accompanied by newly freed ex-prisoners.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has been active in advocating for a reassessment of the current criminal justice system in the U.S., and notably worked on obtaining a commutation for Alice Johnson – a 63-year-old great-grandmother serving a life sentence for a first-time drug offence.

Johnson attended the White House meeting alongside Kim and freed ex-prisoners Tynice Nichole Hall, Crystal Munoz, and Judith Negron.

The meeting comes after Trump announced a wave of commutations and pardons last month, including for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik.

He has also touted the First Step Act, which aims to improve rehabilitation programs for former prisoners.

Kim previously stated she wants her legal work to make a real difference in the world, especially as she raises her boys Saint, four, and nine-month-old Psalm with husband Kanye West.

The reality TV star will also be the subject of an upcoming Netflix documentary entitled Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project, which is set to debut in April.

Trinidad James Transforms Into James Woo Woo

“All Gold Everything” by Trinidad James is a timeless hip-hop classic. “Gold all in my chain, gold all in my ring, gold all in my watch / Don’t believe me, just watch!”

Trinidad James, real name Nicholaus Williams, has since grown tremendously since his 2012 smash, allowing him to expand into many pockets of creating beyond just music.

The Atlanta native arrives at Soho House in West Hollywood dripped out from head to toe, with the same fashion style and inspo as he entered the game with from day one.

Rocking a clean, fitted glitter suit with large gold rings on the majority of his fingers, a red headwrap, and matching metallic shoes, Trinidad James debuted his new alter ego: James Woo Woo.

With his new single “James Woo Woo” streaming successfully as planned, James is proud to unveil a new lane and a new sound.

Regardless, he stands as a strong, black male in society fighting for black love and justice.

He’s been posting himself eating out at a black-owned restaurant daily. His love and support for his people is not only respected, but appreciated.

Additionally, Trinidad has been enjoying the media side of things, serving as co-host to Complex’ Full Size Run — a Sole Collector’s weekly talk show.

AllHipHop caught up with Trinidad at Soho House in West Hollywood to discuss his new single and where the nickname “Dad” originated.

AllHipHop: “All Gold” came out in 2012, what’s been going on in the world?

Trinidad James: I’m a little bit of everything. Putting together an empire of creative greatness. From movies to TV to music to writing, you name it. Just putting my hands in it. Fashion of course.

AllHipHop: What’s the concept behind “James Woo Woo”?

Trinidad James: It’s incredible. It’s produced by Young Fyre. The short film video is incredible, it’s out now. It hit 300K spins on YouTube yesterday. It’s climbing pretty fast and I appreciate that people are taking the time to watch the full thing, that’s really dope. There’s no song out right now in the world that sounds like it and I bet everything on that. I bet the house on that. That’s the kind of music that I love to be a part of, things that don’t sound like anything else. This is one of those really strong singles for humanity.

AllHipHop: Why for humanity?

Trinidad James: Because it’s for everybody. I want everybody to dance, move your feet. Do the Woo Woo baby.

AllHipHop: Where did the Woo Woo originate?

Trinidad James: From me. I am the Woo. I am James Woo Woo. Artists always have different characters of themselves and about themselves, so James Woo Woo is one of my characters.

AllHipHop: When did the nickname Dad come about?

Trinidad James: Dad has been around for a long time, for many different reasons. I’ve birthed a lot of different things, a lot of different art styles. The confidence that I came into the game with is the confidence that planted a seed out there in the world to let people know that you didn’t have to look a certain type of way to be successful. It changed the whole spectrum of being conventional.

AllHipHop: What does Black Excellence mean to you?

Trinidad James: Black excellence, in general, is your perspective of black culture when it comes to whoever is looking at it. Not just a black person. In order to respect someone else’s culture, you have to respect yourself first. Black excellence is the term that people use for that representation of greatness in the black culture.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B81wEE4DiEe

AllHipHop: Talk about inserting that on your own platform, with the black-owned restaurants.

Trinidad James: For Black History Month, I decided to eat at a different a black-owned restaurant everyday, no matter where I’m at. I’ve done it every single day so far. Today, I ate at Comfort LA. It’s a legit spot, I’m going to post it on my IG soon. Tomorrow I’ll go to Simply Wholesome, off of Slauson. Then I leave to go to Chicago, I’m going to go some places in Chicago. Then back to New York, I’m going to go to more spots in New York. I’m going to keep it going. There’s so many more things that we could be doing, or I could be doing. That’s something that I know I could do, and I’m doing it. I don’t want to be talking about it, I want to be doing.

AllHipHop: Are people tagging you in restaurants like “you have to go here!” Yes!

Trinidad James: Not as much as I want them to. I want more tags. I want more recommendations. Because we need to support each other, that’s the whole point about it. If I could strike in everyone: “hey, maybe we should all try eating at a black-owned restaurant, one a day. We need to put more black dollars into the black community. That’s a simple way to do it because everybody likes to eat.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite? Are you vegan or not vegan?

Trinidad James: I love food in general. I’d gone to vegan and non-vegan restaurants. I always try different things that jump out to me. I love, of course, the basic things. If that particular restaurant has something that’s special to them or special to the area/city, I like to try that.

AllHipHop: What’s it like being a Complex host?

Trinidad James: Complex is dope. Complex is clean. Complex is a big learning experience. Because from a media standpoint, that’s completely different. Media is per say what you’re doing right now. I’m also big in the artist world too, so it allows me to learn both sides. It’s great. I’m a year in, it’s awesome. We’re on Season 6 of my show Full Size Run, with my co-hosts Matt Welty and Brendan Dunne. I love those guys, they teach me so much because they’ve been working in it for years. I just learn from them: seasoned vets in the media game. Complex is one of the powerhouses of media in America.

AllHipHop: How’s the bag looking?

Trinidad James: Oh, it’s not bad. But more, you need to learn. For me, I’m in here for the knowledge. If you go into media company for money, have fun with that. Because in reality, they don’t really spend money. They do sponsorships. That’s something I love learning, to realize you don’t always have to spend your own money. You can spend other people’s money, but it’s not even taking advantage of that person. No, they have this money to get spent on promo, so use it.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from the new album?

Trinidad James: It’s incredible. It comes out very soon, the end of February. It’s a musical buffet of greatness, man. Me and Young Fyre did the whole thing together. Shout out to The Stereotypes, they also helped with “James Woo Woo.” They’re super dope. Shout out to my boy Darhyl Camper, he’s done a lot of things. If you know, you know. He plays keys on one of the records, actually “Black Excellence” remix. That’s really dope.

Because if you don’t give it a listen, I can’t listen to your opinion. Because it does not matter to me. I can’t, you haven’t listened to the music. With this project, when you give it a spin — an honest spin, just one spin — after that, however you would love to feel about me and my music, I’m all fine with that. Because we put that work into it. I understand the game completely now, so it’s a good time.

AllHipHop: Who is Trinidad James bumping?

Trinidad James: I’m always listening to something new. But lately, Pop Smoke, Brent Faiyaz, D Smoke, Duke Deuce. I like his music, he’s a very interesting kid. Memphis has a lot to say right now, they’re doing their thing. Key Glock’s new album is sick. Super sick.

Man Stalking XXXTentacion’s Mom Thinks Rapper Has Been Contacting Him

(AllHipHop News) A man charged with stalking the mother of late rapper XXXTentacion has been ordered to undergo a mental exam to determine whether he is fit to stand trial.

Donavon Banton is accused of attempting to break into Cleopatra Bernard’s Florida home on multiple occasions, including one incident in January, when the 24-year-old allegedly threw a brick through a rear window and smashed the window of a car in her driveway.

He was arrested weeks later when he showed up at the property again and reportedly tried to enter the house, prompting Bernard to call the police.

Banton was found to be in possession of a small ax, a pry bar, and two pairs of gloves and was arrested at the scene on various counts of felony burglary, criminal mischief, and stalking.

He claimed “Sad!” hitmaker XXXTentacion, who was killed in June 2018, had been contacting him through Bernard and sending him “sadistic messages.”

Banton, who has been held behind bars since his arrest, pleaded not guilty to all charges last month, but now the Florida judge overseeing the case has put the criminal proceedings on hold pending the outcome of the suspect’s mental evaluation.

The news emerges shortly after Bernard was granted her request for a restraining order against Banton, who had previously been issued with trespassing warnings by authorities.

Blac Chyna Says Rob Kardashian Is Suicidal Over Child Custody War

(AllHipHop News) Blac Chyna is concerned about her ex Rob Kardashian’s mental state amid their ongoing custody dispute over daughter Dream!

In legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, Chyna questioned Kardashian’s ability to care for the 3-year-old, due to his inability to leave his home.

“Respondent tells me all of the time that he is depressed, and has on occasion mentioned that he felt like killing himself,” the Rob & Chyna star said, in an affidavit filed on February 18 in response to Kardashian’s request for primary custody of Dream.

“Respondent has trouble leaving the house… “All of the places he says Dream goes during his custodial time, Dream is going there with a nanny or family member because respondent is too afraid to leave the house.”

She went on to insist she hasn’t seen the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star more than “four times in person since the paternity judgment” was entered in October 2017.

However, Rob hit back at the allegations in an affidavit filed on February 24, penning: “I deny that I have an issue with depression or leaving the house.

“My family and I are public figures. There was a time when any paparazzi photo of me immediately led to very incessant negative remarks about my appearance. So yes, for a period of time, I did not want to subject myself to that; I am not sure why anyone would.”

The feuding former lovers split for good in 2017 after a year of dating.
