Santino Le Saint- “The Party” Video

Santino Le Saint is the vibrant, young model and artist setting himself apart in the South London music scene.

Drawing on influences across a number of genres, such as R&B, soul, trap, rock, and even heavy metal, Le Saint is quickly gaining recognition for his unique sounds that challenge any musical preconceptions.

While these influences dating back to childhood are undoubtedly present, each of Le Saint’s songs feels entirely new as his soulful vocals overlay a hazy fusion of synths and well-placed guitar solos. What results is a feeling of depth and catharsis that is nothing short of striking.

Santino Le Saint’s intermix of trap soul and R&B, infused with an infectious somber-like resonance is an infallible sonic offering.

The London-based singer has mastered the ability to blend to create deep guitar solos over misty trap beats. On his latest release “The Party”, the “Blue Pill” singer switches gears and turns things up a notch.

Santino is also prepping his highly awaited ‘Red Pill’ EP slated for release on December 4th. Stay tuned for his performance on 300 ENT’s “Unplugged” performance series also.

Gucci Mane Vs Jeezy ‘Verzuz’ Draws More Viewers Than 2020 MTV VMAs & Billboard Music Awards

Verzuz returned on November 19 with two of the most legendary rap stars to come out of Atlanta, Georgia. Season two of the popular digital series launched with longtime adversaries Gucci Mane and Jeezy going head-to-head in a hits-for-hits battle from ATL’s Magic City strip club.

According to Verzuz organizers, the latest matchup drew huge numbers. Around 9.1 million people reportedly watched Gucci and Jeezy run through some of their most loved songs. 5.5 million users tuned in via Instagram, 2.3 million viewers saw the show on Apple Music, and at least 1.3 million watched on YouTube/Facebook.

The verified Verzuz Instagram account posted:

This viewership number from last night actually makes Verzuz bigger in ratings than the MTV VMA’s, NBC’s The Voice, the Billboard Awards, the CMA’s, the Latin Grammy’s, Dancing With The Stars or The Masked Singer respectively on any given night for those primetime shows this year. OUR culture has made us the top show in the world for music outside of The Grammy’s. Thank you infinitely!

In contrast, season 29 of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars peaked at 8.12 million viewers for the season premiere on September 14. Season 19 of NBC’s The Voice topped off at 8.2 million eyeballs for the October 19 episode. The 2020 Country Music Association Awards pulled in 7.1 million viewers, the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards brought in 6.4 million viewers, and the 2020 Billboard Music Awards totaled just 3.6 million viewers.

Meek Mill Appears In ‘Weight Of Death’ Docuseries About Philadelphia Gun Violence

In recent days, Robert “Meek Mill” Williams was at the center of a conversation about violence taking place on the streets of his hometown. He tweeted an offer to sign the “main big artists” in Philadelphia if they squashed any beefs with other rappers in the city.

That attempt to end some of the bad blood in The City of Brotherly Love was met with both praise and criticism. After Meek brushed off reports that he was now banned from North Philly for his comments, the 33-year-old REFORM Alliance founding partner turned his attention to promoting the new Weight of Death docuseries.

Weight of Death, a five-part presentation produced by community activist Anton Moore, provides footage of grieving families struggling to heal and cope with the loss of their loved ones due to gun violence. After debuting at a screening hosted by the Philadelphia Film Society, the first installment of the series began streaming on YouTube on November 20.

Episode 1 of Weight of Death covers Dominique Oglesby, the 23-year-old Pennsylvania State University student who was fatally shot in the back on March 18, 2018. The filmmakers interviewed Meek Mill, Danielle Oglesby (Dominique’s mother), Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, Philadelphia Prisons Department Commissioner Blanche Carney, and more.

Future & Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pluto x Baby Pluto’ Debuts In The Top 5

Pluto x Baby Pluto was not able to take the top spot on the latest Billboard 200 album chart. Future and Lil Uzi Vert’s first collaborative effort was blocked from #1 by AC/DC’s Power Up.

The veteran rockers pulled in 117,000 equivalent album units in Power Up’s first week of release. Pluto x Baby Pluto opened at #2 with 105,000 total units and 136 million on-demand streams.

Respectively, both Future and Lil Uzi Vert earned their second Top 10 project of 2020. Uzi’s Eternal Atake debuted at #1 in March. Future’s High Off Life debuted at #1 in May.

Elsewhere on the most recent Billboard 200 rankings, Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon slipped from #2 to #5. Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die remained at #7. The Kid Laroi’s F### Love dropped six positions to #9.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Until I Return landed at #10 (31,000 first-week units). It is the Baton Rouge-raised rapper’s fourth Top 10 entry on the Billboard 200 this year following Top (#1), 38 Baby 2 (#1), and Still Flexin, Still Steppin (#2).

Cardi B Makes History At The 2020 American Music Awards

Back in 2019, Cardi B became the first solo female rapper to win the Best Rap Album award at the Grammys. Earlier this year, she became the first woman to win ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year award two years in a row. Last night, the Bronx-raised entertainer made history once again.

Cardi’s “WAP” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion was named Favorite Song – Rap/Hip Hop at the 2020 American Music Awards. This makes Cardi the first act to win that honor twice. “Bodak Yellow” took home the same award in 2018.

Thank you guys soooo much. Me and Meg really appreciate all the love from fans, celebs everybody that supported the song. Also thanks for voting. Ugh if I would have known all this was going down today I would of rescheduled my dentist appointment. I’m so swollen,” tweeted Cardi on Sunday night.

“WAP” won the AMA over DaBaby’s “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Ricch and Roddy Ricch’s “The Box.” Compton’s Ricch did win Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop for his debut studio LP Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.

Other 2020 American Music Award winners include Doja Cat (New Artist of the Year; Favorite Female Artist – Soul/R&B), The Weeknd (Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B; Favorite Song – Soul/R&B; Favorite Album – Soul/R&B), Juice WRLD (Favorite Male Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop), Nicki Minaj (Favorite Female Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop; Favorite Song – Latin).

Swae Lee Honored For Being As Famous As Elvis Presley!

Rapper Swae Lee from Rae Sremmurd is the biggest thing out of his hometown since Elvis.

That is not hyperbole, but a declaration made by Mayor Jason Shelton the top [public] executive in the City of Tupelo, MS, a place that birthed the two music stars. The mayor said this on Saturday, November 21st during the proclamation of “Swae Day,” named after the “Black Beatles” rapper.

“I’m fortunate to be able to stand here today with a superstar, the biggest thing since Elvis Presley,” Shelton said. “When we talked about honoring and recognizing Swae Lee today, we thought well, why not do it here in Fairpark.”

Many of his fans, friends, and family members were there to see this accomplishment. His mother, Bernadette Walker, was there beaming also.

“It feels amazing as a mom to watch my son accomplish so much in a short amount of time,” she said. “As a kid, he was always energetic and full of energy,” she continued. “But he was always focused on his music. Whenever he focuses on something, he really focuses on it and his thing was music.”

Not leaving out his brother, she doted on both of her boys, “I am definitely very proud of them. I think they’re amazing.” In response to the honor, Swae Lee shared in his city pride, remembering how the city has held him down over the years.

“It feels good to be out here on my day,” Swae Lee said. “I would like to thank the mayor and my mom. You all have always supported me. I see a lot of my friends, classmates, and old neighbors out here.”

He also encouraged them to chase their own dreams, working hard, and being steadfast on their goals.

“I hope everything that I’m doing just shows you that your dreams are possible,” the “No Flex Zone” rapper said. “You can reach your dreams. All you have to do is work hard, stay determined, and stay focused. Keep your head high and don’t let nobody get you discouraged.”

“Always believe in yourself. It might take a year, it might take 10 years, but you can be on top of the world no matter what your circumstances are or no matter where you are from.”

Did Verzuz Start Paying? Gucci Mane May Have Changed It!

Verzuz had/has a business model as this sort of pure celebration of the culture that is a “for the love” sort of gesture. We all loved it (love it) and it for its beloved uplifting of seminal figures in Hip-Hop and R&B even. But, the “battles” are getting bigger and bigger and so are the acts. Lastly, the streaming numbers are doing well. They have busted down well over five million people across the board! Those are insane! Previously, Gucci Mane straight up declined the whole thing, saying they would have to pay him a cool million.

Well…slowly, but surely, rumors

Here are the numbers before I continue.
Verzuz

Almost 6 million total viewers and all that activity and nobody’s getting paid? I THINK NOT! The streets think not too!  The word on the SKREET is that Gucci got his money. Now, what did he get is the question! I have to admit, it does not seem reasonable that he got the million he wanted, but the streets say he got it. I think this could easily bankrupt the whole event if they did anything close to this payout. So, they are tossing 50 Cent vs Ja Rule out there…you think they are gonna do it for free? 50 Cent doesn’t move like that and Ja doesn’t either, according to urban lore! Ja is about his paper! I am sure they are going to start paying people, but will we be able to maintain the integrity of the whole thing?

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation On Board To Market U.K. Football Club Leeds United

Billionaire rapper-turned-mogul-turned philanthropist has partnered with Leeds United to bring a mural that features club legends to the public.

The bigger-than-life size piece of art is called “Paving the Way” is a proud nod to the diversity of the club and is located on The Callas in the middle of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Leeds United is the 14th ranked club in the Premier League. According to research, the club was formed in 1919 after Leeds City by the Football League fell apart and took over their Elland Road stadium. What the English call Football, Americans — particularly those from Marcy — call it soccer.

The artist selected to rock the painting is Akse P19, in an effort that lifts another partnership with club legends Albert Johanneson, Lucas Radebe, and Kalvin Phillips.

“Albert Johanneson was the first high profile Black player to represent Leeds United as well as the first player of African heritage to play in an FA Cup final in 1965,” a spokesperson from the club said. “The South African winger made nearly 200 appearances for the club between 1961 and 1970.”

Lucas Radebe noted of the honor, “I’m so honored and humbled to be muralized on a wall in the city I love alongside Kalvin and a fellow South African, the legendary, Albert Johanneson who paved the way for Black footballers.”

The mural is part of a broader marketing partnership Leeds has signed with Jay’s Roc Nation business, which also represents Manchester United’s forward Marcus Rashford and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

EXCLUSIVE: Kanye West Squashes Legal Beef With Little Girl Over Stolen Prayer

Rap star Kanye West has settled with the parents of a child who claimed the rapper used her prayer without permission.

Andrew Green and Shirley Green are the legal guardians of a child they adopted only identified as “Natalie” due to her status as a minor.

The Green’s sued Kanye in February of 2019, claiming Kanye stole the prayer off of YouTube and illegally incorporated it into his hit song “Ultralight Beam,” which was featured on his critically acclaimed album The Life Of Pablo.

Kanye did attempt to get permission to use the prayer, but he contacted the child’s birth mother, instead of the Greens, who are her legal guardians.

The girl’s birth mother gave Kanye verbal permission but never received anything in writing, while the Greens never approved a deal with either party.  After two years of legal wrangling, Kanye has reached a settlement with the child adopted parents.

[“The Greens] believe that the terms of the settlement are fair and reasonable and in the best interests of N.G.,” their lawyer J. Taylor Powell said.

While the terms of the settlement were not made public to protect the little girl, the parents seemed pleased with Kanye’s generosity and willingness to squash the lawsuit.

“The [Greens] have fully and carefully considered the aforesaid settlement offer and are of the opinion that under the circumstances this offer of settlement is reasonable and proper and in the best interests of N.G., a minor, and adequately protects her interests,” the Greens’ lawyer J. Taylor Powell added.

Natalie’s parents have agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice and the legal action has been brought to a close.

Is Meek Mill Banned From Philadelphia? Listen To Quarantine Pack (FULL EP)!!

I am days late on this one, but I had to write about it. I stared at the reports after they were published in AWE. So, while I am definitely late, I had to do this as a matter of record! “They” banned brother Meek Mill from Philly, the place he calls home? How? Because he moved away? Because he’s not on the streets? Because he’s asking people to stop the violence and offering them deals? It might be all of the above!

Meek said:

“I’ll get all the main big artists in Philly a deal if they put them bodies behind them and squash them beefs…I hear about. Got some hot young bulls from my city, but they all beefing! And that’s just an idea, but I’ll push thru with my city if y’all make it thing! It’s like 5 clicks that’s talented, but they deep in! And get they most attention when they beefing!”

It was met with a lot of resistance and, perhaps in hindsight, Big Meek oversimplified things.

Poundside Pop is a rapper of note out there in those mean North Philly streets! He said Meek is banned!

“Oh my God. This some opp-loving s### You is from 63rd, bro. What is wrong with this bro? You crazy, bro. What’s wrong with you? What’s going on with your head, bro? Is you goofy?”

Somebody else in the IG video dropped the proclamation! “You not from North, bro. You’re banned.”

DaBaby Pays Tribute To His Late Brother With ‘My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G)’ Project

Meek laughed it off.

“We run the hood the f### is you saying lol,” Meek tweeted.

The Meek Mill we all know and love just dropped a new EP for the streets.

Check it out.

50 Cent Brings Holiday Joy To Those In Need With Turkey Drive

50 Cent is usually in the news for one of two reasons: making major moves or trolling.

This time, he is on our radar for an outstanding act of charity. The rapper turned television and film executive has brought holiday joy to families in need a few days before the nation celebrates Thanksgiving.

He took to Instagram to announce the giveback saying, “South Side we out side today 1 pm Happy Holidays Branson lifestyle. 💣#bransoncognac

https://www.instagram.com/p/CH2vZorHCjA/?igshid=1dspl54or7q1j

Sponsored by the G-Unity Foundation and Bellator MMA, Fif, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, hosted “Turkey Drive,” a turkey giveaway on Saturday, November 21st at the Church of God In Christ Jesus Apostles In Faith in Jamaica, NY 11433.

This year, in particular, acts like this are especially important. With unemployment at an all-time high due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, many New Yorkers are facing record levels of food insecurity.

According to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, 54 million Americans will suffer from some sort of coronavirus-related economic crisis that has manifested in a lack of basic food needs.

The organization did a “Map the Meal Gap” interactive study that revealed that in Queens alone there are 228,660 people who were considered food insecure pre-pandemic, making that number leap substantially during the last eight months.

Kathryn Strickland, Feeding America’s chief network officer noted, “Our members are reporting that many of the people they’re serving have never sought food assistance before .”

“Some people are reporting that people who formerly donated to food banks are now seeking assistance,” she continued.

This adds to why acts like this done by those in a position to do good like 50 are so important. Hats off to him!

That’s real, power!

EXCLUSIVE: Blogger Sues Pop Smoke’s Label For Millions Over $1 Dollar Offer And Stolen Interview

The label behind the release of Pop Smoke’s chart-topping album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon is facing a lawsuit from a blogger who claims she was jerked out of a ton of money.

Victoria Inoyo filed a lawsuit against Pop Smoke’s label Victor Victor Worldwide, over an interview with the Brooklyn rapper that she conducted at Rolling Loud in December of 2019.

According to Inoyo, she registered a copyright for the interview in 2020 to cover her and Pop Smoke’s vocals for the interview.

In June of 2019, reps for Victor Victor reached out to Inoyo to use a portion of her interview with Pop Smoke. The label offered her $1 to use the interview on the album, but she rebuffed the paltry offer.

Inoyo tried to arrange a more equitable situation for herself because she wanted the interview to be on the critically acclaimed rapper’s posthumous debut.  However, the negotiations fell through after some back-and-forth between Inoyo’s lawyers and counsel for Victor Victor Worldwide.

Pop Smoke’s debut album finally landed in stores on July 3, 2020, and moved the equivalent of 258,000 units and has since racked up hundreds of millions of streams.

“To the shock and chagrin of Ms. Inoyo, the label used the interview without Ms. Inoyo’s consent, or permission, and without compensating her on the track ‘Tunnel Vision (Outro).'” Victoria Inoyo lawyer Andrew Williams.

Inoyo says the label illegally used :16 seconds of her interview, which amounted to 12% of “Tunnel Vision (Outro).”

“The label knew that it did not have Ms. Inoyo’s permission to use the interview; yet, rather than negotiate with Ms. Inoyo in good-faith in order to obtain her permission to use the interview, the label inexcusably and unjustifiably used the interview and released the album and the song for commercial distribution in violation of, among other things, Ms. Inoyo’s copyrights and her intellectual property,” Pop Smoke’s lawyer Andrew Williams explained.

Inoyo is suing for copyright infringement, unjust enrichment. She wants $1.5 million in damages, credit as a writer on Pop Smoke’s album, and a percentage of the publishing income earned from Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon.

Jeremih Has Almost Beaten COVID-19; Singer Out Of IC

News has emerged that R&B singer Jeremih is recovering from his recent COVID-19 diagnosis quicker than many have expected.

He has moved from the ICU and now is in a recovery room.

His family is speaking out to his fans noting that over the last week, while he was in intensive care, he has been fighting the novel coronavirus with all that he has.

He has a medical team that will now help him start his journey to total recovery. Fans and friends, even some that are celebrities like 50 Cent, have used social media as a means of support. Warm wishes not only meant a lot to him but also his family.

For that, his people have publicly given thanks.

Now the tough road to “true healing” begins.

This report is a remarkable 180 from last week.

It seemed that the “Don’t Tell ‘em” singer was in bad shape, with many believing he might not make it. It was even reported that he was on a ventilator.

The global pandemic has taken a ghastly toll on America and has had a concentrated effect on Black and brown communities. There have been over 12 million cases and 254 thousand deaths.

Statistics say that 1 out of every 1000 Black Americans has died from Covid- 19, almost double that of white deaths, which is more like 1 in 2100.

Quando Rondo Disrespects King Von And Boasts About The Murder On “End Of Story”

Gone are the days when Hip-Hop artists respected the dead.

Those days when old heads passed down that age-old street code that mandates that hood dudes honor those who have transitioned — regardless of the crew they belong to — are a thing of the past.

During her battle against Coffee on the Watch the Throne 4 card, Ms. Miami pulled out a flag and dropped it … saying “The only crip I respect is a dead one … F**k Tookie!”

During the season 2 premiere of the Verzuz battle on Instagram, Gucci Mane vs. Jeezy, Gucci Mane referred to the deceased, Pookie Loc, an associate of Jeezy. While playing the diss record “Truth” Guwop spit “Go dig your partna’ up, n**ga. Bet he can’t say sh*t” and then barked “We smoking Pookie Loc” tonight.

Gucci Mane was responsible for the death of Pookie Loc but got off because it was ruled self-defense.

Now, on his new track “End of Story,” Quando Rondo added to this two week stretch of disrespect.

In the song, he referenced the recent death of rapper King Von, a killing that he also was involved with, and flaunted the “self-defense” claim as justification for the tragedy.

In the song, he breaks down that night by referring to the surveillance tape that shows the “How It Go” rapper assaulting him.

The lyrics went as follows:

“Blood on your brother on the ground, gon’ pick your mans up/Damn right we scrеaming self-defense, he shouldn’t have never put his hands on me/

Look at the footage, that’s all the evidence, see them p#### n***as shouldn’t have ran up on me/Who the f### said that I was hidin’? I’m still ridin’ ’round with them bands on me/And to set the records straight, I ain’t never had no show inside the A”

Many fans took offense because the timing seemed too close to his death, the wave of disrespect for the dead, and the Gucci diss.

Do you think that the dead should be left out of raps or is it just an open season?

Investigators Release Picture Of Gunman Who Killed Mo3 In Brazen Attack

Rapper Mo3’s murder has just got that much closer to being solved.

Dallas law enforcement dropped a bomb on the world by releasing photos from a surveillance camera of the “Broken Love” rapper’s drive-by murder on November 11th on Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue.

It is spooky to see the accuracy of the images.

And what the DPD has been able to ascertain from them is that a man wearing a long black-sleeve shirt and blue jeans came out of a black car— possibly a Camaro— and chased Mo3 (whose real name is Melvin Noble) before shooting him dead.

This mystery man also shot an innocent victim who was sitting in his car, but that bystander’s injuries were not as serious as the 28-year-old emcee who was killed.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Because the assault was made on the freeway, there are suspicions that it could have been related to road-rage.

But that cannot be confirmed as rumors lend to a theory that Mo3 may have been targeted as a rising star with some connections to the streets.

His death did invoke a great deal of pain in the community. A vigil was set up on the plaza near City Hall. Two city-blocks were closed by the Texas Sky Ranger in an effort to provide a safe space for family, friends, and fans to honor his memory.

Unfortunately, Mo3’s close associate Boosie was shot in the leg and seriously wounded after he spoke at the vigil honoring the Dallas rapper.

Billy Bands Unveils “Chase” Visual

Billy Bands is here to declare his place in the rap game. Hailing from the Bronx, New York, the rising star creates heartfelt street anthems for his growing fanbase, and he’s not stopping until he gets to the top. Now following the release of his latest single “CHASE,” the Bronx Bully returns with the official music video for the banger.

Directed by Newpher Films, the 3-minute visual sees The Band Man canvasing his city while doing his favorite thing: getting to the bag. Produced by Cap Dinero, “Chase” showcases Billy’s tenacious lyrics perfectly as he spits his truth with each bar.

Who REALLY Tried To Rob/Kill Gucci?

Earlier this week Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane partook in an epic battle at Magic city, Atlanta. The battle was a part of the ongoing series by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland called VERZUZ. The numbers are staggering (over 2 million), because of the historic beef that these two men have had over the years. A man died!

One thing that happened that was a seminal moment for all watching was when Gucci performed the song called “Truth.” The song is raw and the re-upload just pushed a million streams on YouTube in just a couple days.

And that song is a scathing diss but more, it tells the tale of murder. In the Verzuz battle he called the murder of Pookie Loc a “free kill.” He said a bunch of other crazy stuff that showed that he’s definitely not over that run on his life. For those that don’t know, Jeezy had a song called “Stay Strapped,” where he ends the song putting a $10lk “bounty” on Gucci’s chain. Take a listen to “Stay Strapped.”

The question I have is, “Did Jeezy REALLY put that word in?” My sources say not exactly. Remember, Jeezy was closely linked to BMF, the Black Mafia Family. In fact, Jeezy was wearing a “Black Mafia Family” jersey on when he made that passionate speech of peace and progress. So, there may have been a double message when he was saying that healing speech.

My people are telling me it was actually BMF that sent the boys to “holla” at Gucci Mane. Pookie Loc – Henry Lee Clark III – was a rapper and friend of Jeezy Mane. He was shot and killed on May 10th 2005 at the age of 27 when he and others rushed into Gucci’s residence. They started assaulting people according to reports and, in one of the most infamous acts of self-defense, Gucci fired away. Pookie Loc was found in a ditch near a middle school.

Gucci Mane has continued to repeat that they were there to kill him. I have heard they were there to ROB him. I have also been told they were there to kill him as well, which is the prevailing notion. But, none of that matters now. For the record, Jeezy has vigorously defended himself in the court of public opinion. “Rest in peace to Pookie Loc, blame it on me never snitching/Lord knows I ain’t send the homie on no dummy mission,” he rapped.

So glad peace worked out!
