Saweetie Says Nobody Cared About Her Music, So She Delayed Album

Saweetie has revealed why she has yet to drop an album. The 30-year-old rapper/singer has opened up about why she is still waiting to release her debut.

“I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,” Saweetie told Allure in a new interview. “To me, music is sacred. It’s coming from your spirit. You can’t just go finish an album in a week. That’s why it’s taking me so long. That’s why I haven’t dropped an album yet.”

Saweetie’s debut album, which was previously titled Pretty B**ch Music, has been delayed yearly since 2021 because she felt it needed more time to be ready.

The “My Type” hitmaker then explained that when she released music in the past, she felt like she was “constantly” being watched and criticized.

“I don’t mean to dampen the mood,” she told the publication. “But this is, realistically, how my career has been. We were constantly criticized for every drop. I was just very insecure. I’m a confident woman, but I was a very insecure artist.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Saweetie admitted that she is also critical of her own music.

“As an artist, the frequency changes. The music I created up until now, in three months I could listen to it and I could be like, ‘I’m not that girl anymore,'” she said.

Saweetie released her first major label debut EP, titled “High Maintenance,” in March 2018. Her latest EP “The Single Life” only sold 3,000 copies in its first week.

T.I.’s Son King Unleashes Verbal Tirade Against Comedian Druski

The youngest progeny of music mogul T.I. unleashed a verbal tirade against comedian Druski, critiquing him for allegedly making derisive comments.

In an online video, King calls out the comedian for allegedly dissing him during an interview with The Breakfast Club. King vehemently rebuked his supposed jests. In the video, King delivers a barrage of retorts aimed at Druski, lambasting the comedian for not voicing his criticisms face-to-face.

“Hey Druski, you and your cholesterols need to calm the f### down n####… you and them wide-body Hellcat hips need to calm the f### down,” King snapped, highlighting a perceived hypocrisy in Druski’s conduct.

He continued, expressing astonishment and indignation over the funny man’s actions, “I can’t believe this n#### just tried to call me p#### in the interview, and I just seen him a couple weeks ago.”

Although the video is just over two minutes, King doesn’t hold back, accusing Druski of cowardice and deceit. He mocks Druski’s physical appearance and challenges his bravery.

“We seen you run from a n####, we seen you run from Birdman…I ain’t never run from nobody. It look like you gotta a p#### and you walk with a strap. It looks like before you go to sleep at night you take your dick off and put it in the drawer.”

King’s remarks aim to diminish Druski’s reputation and question his integrity with some body-shaming pushbacks of his own. Take a look at his reply below.

LSU Basketball Star Flau’jae Wants To Be Rap Legend Like Her Late Father Camoflauge

Flau’jae Johnson, one of the LSU women’s basketball team’s top stars, won a national championship in her freshman season. Understandably, she developed a significant thanks to her exploits on the court. But Flau’jae hoped to earn just as many fans with her musical talent. The basketball player/rapper spoke about what she wanted to accomplish with her new EP 4 Wave in an interview with AllHipHop.

“I’m truly hopeful that this EP will reach the heights I believe it’s capable of,” she said. “I see it as a gateway to building a genuine fanbase, one that connects with me through my music rather than just my basketball skills. It’s about establishing a bond with listeners who appreciate the artistry in my work. The feedback I’ve received so far is encouraging. People are telling me that my music resonates with them, and that’s exactly the impact I aim to achieve.”

Flau’jae followed in the footsteps of her late father Camoflauge to become a rapper. Camoflauge was shot and killed in 2003 but remained an inspiration to his daughter. The LSU athlete saw 4 Wave as her potential breakthrough release as she aimed to reach the same musical heights as her dad.

“It means a lot,” she said regarding the EP. “I worked on it in my apartment. I did all the songs in my room, so it’s very personal for me. I built a studio setup and got to work. This has been an incredibly personal EP, I put a lot of my heart into it. Everybody asks, ‘Who broke your heart?’ I’m like nobody. [laughs] I was able to express myself in a way that I haven’t been able to before. This EP means a lot to me and I hope that people receive it well.”

Flau’jae managed to balance music and basketball, delivering a two-pack of songs titled 4 the Lovers before March Madness. The tracks showed off her singing prowess as she began her exploration of R&B.

50 Cent Portrays Meek Mill As Saucy Santana Amid Salacious Diddy Allegations

50 Cent is back at it with yet another troll job. On Friday (March 1), the rapper-turned-television exec shared a clip of a crossdressing Saucy Santana sauntering down a city street with the caption, “Meek Mill leaving Diddy’s house.” Santana is wearing a tight red dress, sunglasses and a purse with a black leather jacket slung over his shoulder.

50 Cent wrote in the caption, “Who did this?” But just like that, it was gone as of Saturday (March 2).

50 Cent has been having a field day with the Diddy allegations since Cassie Ventura first sued the Bad Boy Records in November 2023. More recently, 50 Cent called out longtime adversary Floyd Mayweather over questionable comments about Diddy, who’s facing multiple allegations of sexual assault. Mayweather vowed he wouldn’t say anything negative about Diddy despite the mounting lawsuits. At the same time, he teased his Diddy documentary, which may or may not be real.

“They didn’t even ask him about this,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “Champ is you stupid or is you dumb? Get me the f### out ya head, you sound like a hater. DIDDY DO IT? COMING soon.”

Diddy was sued again last week by a former male employee, Lil Rod (born Rodney Jones), who worked as a producer on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off the Grid. 50 commemorated the news with a screenshot of a TMZ article along with pictures showing Diddy with Rick Ross and Mayweather.

“Aww s###,” he wrote. “I’m on the floor dead somebody bring me back to life.”

As for Meek Mill, he was named in the same lawsuit and soon became a trending Twitter topic as users reacted to the documents. The suit, filed in federal court, accuses Diddy of sexual harassment and assault. Lil Rod also claimed he was forced to watch a video of Stevie J. having sex with another man. He said Diddy did this “to ease Mr. Jones’ anxiety concerning sexuality” and provided a screencap of the alleged video in his complaint.

He then alleged that Diddy said “he had engaged in sexual intercourse” with a rapper and R&B singer as well as Stevie J.  While the artists’ names were redacted the footnotes indicate that they are both male. The rapper hails from Philadelphia and used to date Nicki Minaj, while the singer “performed at the Superbowl and had a successful Vegas residency.”

Needless to say, 50 Cent finds this all rather comical and odds are, he’ll have more to add to his commentary in the coming days.

Meek Mill Crashes SUV Ahead Of Video Shoots For “Heathenism” EP

Meek Mill is lucky to be alive to promote his latest EP, “Heathenism,” after being in a serious-looking automobile accident. He posted the aftermath on his Instagram stories account, admitting that he had crashed a GMC truck he was driving.

“God telling don’t crash out for the bustas… ima listen,” Meek Mill said in what could be viewed as a thinly veiled reference to his beef with DJ Akademiks this week.

It’s unclear if this was a single-vehicle accident or if it involved another automobile. But thankfully, Meek walked away unscathed.

“s### knocked me out lol gmc the whole brake pedal slipped off my first time driving,” Meek Mill revealed.

But the car accident did not slow the Philly native down despite the severity of the crash. Meek has been busy promoting his new EP Heathenism, which features seven tracks and guest appearances from XY and z.

This upcoming week, Meek Mill plans to shoot two videos off the EP in Philadelphia.

Cardi B Promises To Deliver Long-Awaited Sophomore Album In 2024

Cardi B provided an encouraging update on her sophomore album following the release of her “Like What (Freestyle).” The Atlantic Records rapper claimed her much-discussed project will drop before the end of the year on Friday (March 1).

“Look how long I had this f###### record for: January 27, 202-f######-3,” she said on Instagram Stories. “I’m working on this s### at 5 a.m. Y’all know I’m a f###### night owl. I promise y’all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say [affect me]. If I do a song, I’ma just f###### drop it. Well, I’ve got no choice because I’m dropping my album this year. So, stay tuned for the announcement. But don’t play with me!”

Cardi B fans have been waiting years for the follow-up to her debut album Invasion of Privacy, which she released in 2018. She dropped multiple singles and collaborations in subsequent years, but none of the songs kick-started a rollout for her album.

Last month, Cardi B’s estranged husband Offset encouraged her to release the project in an Instagram Stories post. He wanted her to overcome her apparent fears of a sophomore slump.

“Drop the album,” he wrote. “S### goes crazy.”

Cardi B’s hesitancy frustrated fans, but it was understandable considering how successful her debut was. The album made her star as it reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Invasion of Privacy, which included her breakthrough hit “Bodak Yellow,” won Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. She was the first solo female artist to win the award.

Patient fans got a treat on Friday when Cardi B released her Missy Elliott-inspired song “Like What (Freestyle).” The track received Missy and Timbaland’s stamp of approval.

Joe Budden Declares “Girl Rapper Wave” Over In Response To Cardi B’s “Like What (Freestyle)”

The latest installment of The Joe Budden Podcast included Budden and his co-hosts discussing the state of female Hip-Hop. Their conversation began after playing the new “(Like What) Freestyle” track by Cardi B.

“Y’all ain’t gonna want to hear it from me, but the girl rapper wave is over,” Joe Budden declared on the “Zombie Biker Ladies From Princeton” episode of his show.

He also added, “All of that, go find a girl, send her to Columbia, get it done, put her in the studio with f###### [Mike WiLL Made-It] or any one of them n#####, all that planting the girl in the scene, getting the record and it taking off, that wave is over.”

Joe Budden then suggested that record labels are having trouble recouping the money invested in female rappers. However, the former Def Jam-signed artist did not provide any specific evidence to support that claim.

In addition, Joe Budden criticized Cardi for taking six years to release her sophomore album. Budden also gave “(Like What)” a backhanded compliment, by saying, “I think the Cardi freestyle is cool. I mean, I’m gonna think it’s cool because anybody’s gonna sound good over the ‘Shes a B####’ beat.”

Over the last several years, Joe Budden became a vocal critic of Cardi B’s music and a self-professed supporter of her longtime rival, Nicki Minaj. The public relationship between Budden and Cardi seemed to turn sour as both celebrities commented on the apparent tension.

In September 2023, Cardi B called out Joe Budden for interviewing Tasha K, the blogger who lost a $4 million defamation lawsuit for smearing the Bronx-bred rapper. Budden eventually chose not to release the Tasha K interview and admitted being wrong.

Cardi’s “(Like What) Freestyle” rose to No. 2 on the iTunes all-genre chart. The song’s official visuals hit No. 1 on YouTube’s Trending Music Videos chart. However, “(Like What) Freestyle” only reached No. 39 on Apple Music’s Top 100: USA chart after one day of tracking.

The record joins a Cardi B discography that contains five No. 1 singles and three diamond-certified singles. She scored Top 20 hits in 2023 with “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and as a feature on Latto’s “Put It on da Floor Again.”

SIGNS: Juvenile Detention Sergeant Jailed Over Explicit Love Letters Written To Teenage Detainee

A former juvenile detention center sergeant has been arrested following an investigation into her relationship with an underage detainee.

According to reports, 27-year-old Sgt. Katelyn Gomez, who worked at Pinellas Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Clearwater, solicited sex from a 16-year-old boy incarcerated there. According to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies revealed detectives were able to determine the “inappropriate letters” found in the bed of the underage detainee were written by Gomez.

Gomez reportedly wrote in detail her plans to engage in sexual activity with the teenager upon their first meeting on one of the letters. The pair had developed a relationship after Gomez met him in the detention center weeks before the discovery of the letters. Detectives even discovered Gomez had sent the teenager a picture of herself to his cell phone. She reportedly told authorities she “fantasized about having a sexual relationship with the victim and planned to build a life with him once he was released.”

Gomez is currently in custody and her bail has not been set.

50 Cent Mocks Floyd Mayweather To Promote Heist Novel

50 Cent announced the release plans for his novel The Accomplice by taking a shot at his frenemy Floyd Mayweather on Friday (March 1). The G-Unit boss trolled the undefeated boxer by vowing to drop the audiobook version on the same day as the print version.

“I have no beef with anyone,” he wrote on Instagram. “I even made sure the audiobook comes out at the same time so champ won’t feel left out. GLG GreenLightGang. The Accomplice Movie coming soon.”

The post referenced a persistent rumor about Mayweather being illiterate. 50 Cent often led the charge in spreading the rumor in the past.

Earlier this year, 50 Cent started antagonizing Mayweather again after the boxer refused to speak ill of Diddy despite multiple sexual assault allegations. The Power franchise’s producer questioned Mayweather, who brought up Diddy unprovoked on The Pivot podcast.

“They didn’t even ask him about this,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “Champ is you stupid or is you dumb? Get me the f### out ya head, you sound like a hater. DIDDY DO IT? COMING soon.”

The Accomplice is scheduled to drop in September. 50 Cent co-wrote the novel with author Aaron Philip Clark.

“I want to bring a big heist story to the page,” 50 Cent told PEOPLE. “My debut fiction novel and its follow-up series will be captivating.”

50 Cent’s book will be published by Amistad, an imprint of HarperCollins. He was already plotting a film adaptation of the novel.

“The Accomplice is going to surprise readers in wonderful ways,” Amistad executive editor Patrik Henry Bass said. “It’s everything you want in a page-turner: vivid writing, complex, multi-dimensional characters, many plot twists, witty dialogue and Curtis [Jackson’s] inimitable charm and authenticity.”

50 Cent’s novel announcement coincided with the return of his show BMF. The third season’s first episode is now available to stream on the STARZ app.

Diddy Accused Of Grooming Usher By Former Bodyguard

Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal claimed Usher was the Hip-Hop mogul’s grooming victim in an interview with the Art of Dialogue. Gene Deal did not understand why Usher spoke positively about Diddy on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast despite their allegedly sordid history.

“I know and people know that was around in that time that Puff [Daddy] and Usher did have a situation,” Diddy’s ex-bodyguard said. “And that situation led Usher to the hospital. Now, I’ll let Usher explain that to y’all. I’ll let Usher tell that story. But how dare you say a man that groomed you, you gonna give him a pass. Bruh, you know I know.”

Usher lived with Diddy for a year when the singer was a teenager. Gene Deal believed Usher should speak out about Diddy’s alleged misdeeds. He seemingly attempted to motivate Usher to do so by telling the story of an uncomfortable incident the former bodyguard witnessed.

“Remember Usher, we was at the Swissôtel,” Gene Deal said. “Puff had Kim [Porter] in the room, had one of Keith Sweat’s baby mothers in the big room outside the master bedroom. He came outside in his robe. He came outside in his robe, she gave him f####### right there. His back was turned to me. She gave him f#######. You knocked on the door. I came and opened the door for you. Puff went in the room. You came in the room and kissed that girl dead in the mouth. Now, I’m telling that because you taking up for somebody that you know and a lot of more people know didn’t do you right when you was at Diddy’s camp.”

Diddy faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault. Earlier this week, producer Lil Rod joined the list of people suing Diddy with several bombshell allegations.

Lil Rod’s lawsuit mentioned Diddy having sex with an R&B singer. The name was redacted but observers quickly figured out it was referring to Usher. A note in the lawsuit said the singer performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Las Vegas residency.

Footage Of Lil Wayne Face-Off With Security Surfaces After He Put Lakers On Blast

Video of Lil Wayne’s confrontation with security at a Los Angeles Lakers game emerged on Friday (March 1). The clip showed event staff preventing him from going to his courtside seats while the Lakers played the Washington Wizards at the Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night (February 29).

Lil Wayne condemned the Lakers for his mistreatment on social media. He assumed the issues stemmed from his past criticism of Lakers star Anthony Davis.

“Wow!” Weezy wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Got treated like s### at the Laker game just now but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either bc of what i said abt AD or simply bc they don’t fwm which I been got that vibe from em as well so all good I get it. F### em. It isn’t what it isn’t. I’m used to it.”

Lil Wayne discussed the Lakers game incident during an appearance on Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed. The diamond-selling rapper claimed he only attended the game at the behest of a brand he’s promoting.

“I didn’t want to go to that game,” he told host Skip Bayless. “I was asked to be at that game. It was to promote the wardrobe I had on, which was also in cahoots with the NBA or whatever … I was asked to be there. That’s why I was like, ‘Wow.’ I didn’t expect the security guy to know I was asked to be there to promote something. But I would’ve rathered a smoother entrance.”

Lil Wayne stood by his social media comments on Undisputed. He thought his opinion of Davis caused problems at the arena.

“When I tweeted that, that was obviously raw emotions,” the former Cash Money Records artist said. “But there’s truth. I mean it’s all facts behind my beliefs and behind that opinion. I did believe that I felt like there was something about the whole A.D. thing that was kinda like, ‘We don’t need this guy.’”

Lil Wayne previously said the Lakers would not win another NBA championship unless they got rid of Davis. He made the remarks on a 2023 episode of Undisputed.

SIGNS: Georgia Mother Caught With Her Child Riding In Car Trunk Gets Police Visit

A Gwinnett County mother is attempting to defend her name as a parent after a viral video has landed her in police custody.

In case you missed it, Dianna Shaffer was filmed driving down the freeway in her Dodge Challenger with the trunk open and a child in the trunk. The clip went viral and caused an uproar on social media. But according to Shaffer, her 12-year-old son was riding halfway in the backseat and halfway in the trunk in order to hold on to a baby bassinet.

After a woman reported the video to authorities, they met with Shaffer at her home in Duluth. In a recent report, she described her actions as an “embarrassing” moment and expressed her concern for her child.

“I would never want to put him intentionally in danger,” Shaffer said. “It was an embarrassing moment. I told him to sit right here, and to hold the leg of the bassinet so it didn’t fly out because the trunk was up.”

Shaffer was charged with reckless conduct and a seat belt violation.

NLE Choppa Trolls Blueface With Chrisean Rock “Face Tattoo”

NLE Choppa surprised fans by showing off a supposed tattoo of Chrisean Rock on his face. The Memphis-bred rapper used the fake tattoo to promote his “Shotta Flow 7 (Remix)” featuring Lil Mabu.

“Just Cause You Was In My Video @chrisean,” he wrote with kissing emojis. “Shotta Flow 7 (REMIX) FT @lilmabu OUT NOW #FreeBlueFace.”

NLE Choppa shared the photos a week after dropping the “Shotta Flow 7 (Remix).” The track dissed Blueface, the father of Chrisean Rock’s child.

“We’ll leave a n#### blue in the face/How a n#### want the fade knowing he had to go to jail the next day?/P#### boy, you something like my b#### Rose Toy/KKK, got Ks on Ks, wanna f### Kim K and make Kanye watch,” NLE Choppa rapped.

“Let’s box @bluefacebleedem,” NLE Choppa wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “who can set up celebrity boxing match in Vegas me and him hit me ASAP. He undefeated vs women ion respect a n#### that put his hands on em anyway!”

Blueface is currently in jail for violating his probation in a California assault case. He was taken into custody in January. He is scheduled to be released in July.

Last month, a Nevada judge issued a bench warrant for Blueface while he was behind bars. He faced the warrant for a probation violation in a Las Vegas shooting case.

Blueface received a suspended sentence of two to five years for a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club. His shooting case’s probation violation stemmed from a December 2023 incident in Utah.

Fivio Foreign Comes Meek Mill’s Defense Amid Diddy Drama: “We Gone Hold Each Other Down”

Fivio Foreign is standing up for Meek Mill. The Philadelphia rapper has been scrutinized for his relationship with embattled music mogul Diddy over the last few days.

On Wednesday (February 28), Foreign inserted himself in the drama via Twitter (X) by aligning himself with Meek, despite the allegations being levied against him. In his brief message, the “Big Drip” rapper seemingly condemned Akademiks (though he didn’t mention him by name) while also preaching unity.

“The streets ah never a weird industry n#### take out a n#### like meek..,” Foreign wrote in the tweet. “He do to much for the trenches. We gon hold each other down from now on it’s 2024.. It’s Blue World Order.”

Fivio Foreign’s comments follow negative remarks from public figures such as Andrew Tate and Akademiks, who recently shared reactions to Meek Mill being named and accused of having a sexual relationship with Diddy in a lawsuit.

Since being implicated in the lawsuit, Meek Mill has bashed Akademiks in several posts, accusing the internet personality of trying to destroy Black men with salacious media coverage.

“Akademiks an alcoholic fully powered by the White man … who you think posting that on every website!” Meek wrote on Twitter. “They be so madddddddddddd they can’t stop its few groups! lol. Get me his addy ima shoot a full production music video in front of his house! Lol seriously get me that one in NJ!!!!!”

Saweetie Claims Industry Executives Advised Her To “Twerk More” To Succeed Early In Her Career

Saweetie is opening up about the sexist career advice music industry professionals allegedly gave her in the early stages of her career. In a recent interview with Allure, Saweetie explained how her initial success is part of what brought the pressure from her label to switch up her style.

“‘Icy Grl’ and ‘My Type’ blew up so quick, I was on the market almost immediately,” Saweetie said. “So I didn’t have time to develop.”

Saweetie said she was told she needed to change everything from her vernacular to her social media usage.

“I was told I should twerk more on my Instagram,” she said. “I was told that my voice was very boring. I was told that I rapped too monotone and needed more energy. I was told that I needed to share more of my life on the internet.”

She believes some of the marketing initiatives previously presented to her were disingenuous.

“I’m going to twerk when I want to,” she said. “That’s not going to be my marketing. And if that’s what you truly love to do, then empower yourself through that. But that’s not innate to me. If I get caught at a party or if I’m turning up, okay, cool. But I’m not finna do that because you guys think I should. That’s lazy marketing.”

Saweetie went on to provide an update on her upcoming debut album, Pretty B##ch, which has been delayed since 2021, working in television on series such as Grown-ish and Bel-Air, the current landscape of female rappers and more.

Lil Meech Says Big Meech Could Be Released Early From Prison

According to reports, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory could be a free man by the end of 2025. The Black Mafia Family co-founder’s son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., spoke about his father’s possible early release.

“He just got transferred to a low [security] facility,” Lil Meech told The Morning Hustle about Big Meech’s current incarceration status. The BMF actor also said, “When you’re in the low, that means you’re coming home.”

Lil Meech continued, “[Big Meech is] in this new program. His date right now says 2028, but this program he’s in, it should release him in like nine or ten months.

In 2008, Demetrius Flenory and his younger brother, Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, received 30-year sentences in federal prison. Prosecutors accused the Detroit-raised siblings of running the nationwide Black Mafia Family drug trafficking organization.

Starz began airing the 50 Cent-produced BMF television series in 2021. Lil Meech stars as Big Meech in the crime drama. Additionally, Da’Vinchi plays Southwest T. A new episode of the “inspired by a true story” show premieres today (March 1).

Hip-Hop recording artists 2 Chainz and Saweetie will appear in BMF season three. Fellow rapper Lil Baby makes his official acting debut in the series. The cast also includes Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Steve Harris, Kelly Hu and La La Anthony.

Fivio Foreign Defends Meek Mill Amid Gay Accusations

Meek Mill has been at the center of attention on social media for days. The Dream Chasers leader continues to push back against allegations about his sexuality.

A music producer who formerly worked with Sean “Diddy” Combs sued The Love Album: Off the Grid creator for sexual misconduct. Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones also alleged in the lawsuit that a “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj” had sex with Diddy.

Meek Mill vehemently denied being gay. He also implied a conspiracy is in the works to damage his reputation. While commenters like DJ Akademiks called out Meek for the accusations, Fivio Foreign supported the Philadelphia native.

“The streets ah never [let] a weird industry n#### take out a n#### like Meek. He do [too] much for the trenches. We gon hold each other down from now on it’s 2024. It’s Blue World Order!” Fivio Foriegn tweeted.

Meek Mill spent the last several days denying the rumors of him secretly being part of the LGBTQ+ community. After arguing with DJ Akademiks on X for hours, the REFORM Alliance founding partner eventually began focusing on his recently released Heathenism EP.

Back in 2022, Fivio faced allegations of being bisexual and a sex addict. His ex-girlfriend, Jasmine Giselle, claimed the Brooklyn-bred rapper watched gay pornography. Giselle later recanted those salacious statements about the father of her child.

Fivio Foriegn and Meek Mill linked up for the “Same 24” collaboration. The song’s official music video landed on YouTube on January 19. Those visuals have amassed over 3 million views since its premiere on the platform.

Missy Elliott & Timbaland Co-Sign Cardi B’s “Like What (Freestyle)”

Cardi B returned today (March 1) with her new “Like What (Freestyle)” music video. Her latest song samples Missy Elliott’s “She’s a B####” single from 1999.

Missy Elliott co-signed “Like What (Freestyle)” on her Instagram Story. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and Songwriters Hall of Famer tagged Cardi B in her post along with three dancing women emojis.

Timbaland produced “She’s a B####” off the Da Real World album. The Verzuz co-founder also showed love to Cardi with an Instagram Story post. His caption simply read, “Da [crown emoji].”

In July 2023, Missy Elliott reflected on her iconic “She’s a B####” visuals. The rapper/singer stated, “When I say AHEAD of the GAME! Looking back at these songs & videos this is ART! This is what Risk & a SHIFT in music look like.”

Cardi B’s “Like What (Freestyle)” arrives as speculation surrounding her next project continues to grow. The New York-raised entertainer has not released a studio LP since 2018’s Invasion of Privacy.

Fans of the self-described Trap Selena believe “Like What (Freestyle)” could be a precursor to her sophomore album. The record’s Offset-directed music video ends with the words, “This is just the beginning… stay tuned.”

As of press time, “Like What (Freestyle)” has reached the Top 5 of the iTunes all-genre chart. Cardi B’s latest song made it to No. 1 on the app’s Hip-Hop/rap chart. Its music video is trending at No. 3 on YouTube.
