A New York judge rejected the defense’s request for a mistrial in the Jam Master Jay murder trial on Thursday (February 8). Defense lawyers accused prosecutors of misconduct, claiming “a seed of prejudice” emerged during the prosecution’s questioning of a witness.
According to the Associated Press, Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall reprimanded prosecutors for their guiding questions but allowed the trial to continue. Judge Hall told jurors to ignore the questions and answers at the center of the issue.
Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington are on trial for the 2002 murder of Jam Master Jay. Washington’s ex-girlfriend Daynia McDonald testified in court on Thursday.
McDonald said Washington “basically said yes” when she asked him if he was involved in the Run-DMC DJ’s death. Prosecutors pressed her for a more definitive answer with questions that led to the defense’s call for a mistrial.
“Did he say he killed Jam Master Jay?” and “Did he say that people get what they deserve?” the prosecution asked.
McDonald responded affirmatively to both questions. Jurors left the courtroom before the judge voiced her displeasure with the prosecution. Judge Hall let prosecutors ask if Washington “said anything else about Jam Master Jay’s murder” when the jury returned to the courtroom.
“He just said that he killed him,” McDonald testified.
Jam Master Jay was fatally shot at his recording studio in October 2002. Prosecutors claimed Jordan and Washington killed the late DJ for cutting the defendants out of a drug deal. An eyewitness identified Jordan as the shooter and said Washington stood guard with a gun.
Jordan and Washington pleaded not guilty to murder charges. If convicted, the two face at least 20 years in prison.
A third man, Jay Bryant, was also charged for his alleged role in Jam Master Jay’s murder. Bryant will be tried separately.
DeJ Loaf called out Moneybagg Yo and his Loaf Boyz label via social media on Thursday (February 8). The platinum-selling rapper accused Moneybagg Yo and his associates of stealing her name.
“Ay y’all don’t let these n##### call themselves ‘Loaf’ It’s only One!” she wrote on Instagram. “And it’s yo mf baby.”
DeJ Loaf demanded respect in several Instagram Stories posts. She complained about Moneybagg Yo and the Loaf Boyz using the “Loaf” moniker.
“Pay HOMAGE f### n#####,” she wrote. “It’s only 1 LOAF! Fytb. They tried to steal everything I came in the game with. My name I ain’t going for! Originality at its finest.”
DeJ Loaf’s gripes caught the attention of Moneybagg Yo affiliate ShotOff a.k.a. Fat Wizza. ShotOff insulted DeJ Loaf on Instagram Stories and mocked her in the comments of her post.
“This b#### say we took her s### wit the loaf all my fans go spam this cancer patient looking ass b####,” he wrote. “If u [wanna] be #loafBoyz just say that tf hoe u is not relevant stop it.”
ShotOff suggested DeJ Loaf was seeking attention. He sarcastically offered her an opportunity to join Moneybagg Yo’s Loaf Boyz label.
“I can’t believe this B,” he wrote. “Shawty ain’t been s### since smurk left. We understand u tryna be relevant again baby just ask for a loaf contract we’ll still sign yo broke ass. Dej whoooooooo!! This Loaf S### For the having, not the have nots, and she definitely a have not.”
Last year, Moneybagg Yo’s Loaf Boyz label signed a partnership with 10K Projects. It was 10K’s first deal after becoming a standalone label under Warner Music Group.
Moneybagg Yo planned to release a Loaf Boyz compilation as part of the deal. He remained signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG label as a solo artist.
An artist claimed he never received compensation from Logic despite an alleged agreement for seven paintings, which were completed years ago. Artist Maha Sattva called out the 34-year-old rapper and shared screenshots of their past interactions in a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“OKAY B#### YOURE A MILLIONAIRE BUT YOU STOLE 7 paintings from me,” Sattva wrote. “Pay me for them. I’m not asking for a handout, you f###### owe me for them.”
Sattva lashed out at Logic after seeing a clip from the latest episode of Logic’s Logically Speaking podcast. Logic mentioned he was a millionaire, which convinced Sattva to seek money. According to Sattva, Logic was supposed to give the artist some type of shoutout in exchange for seven paintings but never did.
The artist argued with Logic’s fans before attempting to clear up his grievance on Thursday (February 8). Sattva believed he should get paid to settle the dispute, insisting Logic screwed the artist out of the paintings.
“Logic saw some of my paintings that he liked, and so he asked me to send them to him; in exchange for him shouting me out to his millions of followers,” Sattva wrote. “This was his idea, not mine. He also had asked how much they would cost, but that never amounted to anything. He got the paintings and repeatedly thanked me for them and said he would shout me out ‘soon’ ( that’s all the screenshots you’re seeing).”
He continued, “It’s been 7 years, he’s never held up his end of the bargain, so I’m telling him to just pay the f### up since he constantly wants to brag about being a millionaire. That’s the super condensed version, there’s obviously more but, he knows and I know.”
Logic has not publicly responded to Sattva’s accusations as of yet.

Conway the Machine clarified where he stands with Eminem after Benzino name-dropped the Griselda rapper on the “Rap Elvis” diss track. Conway denied leaving Shady Records and praised Eminem in response to Benzino’s song.
“I just wanted to speak on a few things,” Conway wrote on Instagram. “I heard the @benzinoislegendary_ joint and I just need to clear this up for everybody. 1. I didn’t LEAVE shady records. Also I never wanted to leave the label, My contracts were simply fulfilled.”
He continued, “2. And most importantly, I F### WIT @eminem @rosenberg @mikaelheron @shadyrecords @50cent. And I could never feel any Ill feelings towards Em and them n#####. They gave some 35 year old street n##### from Buffalo that’s been shot in the head and did jail sentences a chance and a opportunity to make it out the hood and take care of my family. So I’m forever thankful for that. So with that bein said, if you’re havin feelings or whatever towards bruh, leave me out of it please, cause I’m always gonna ride wit big bro.”
Benzino said Conway and others left Eminem’s label on “Rap Elvis.” Benzino listed former Shady Records artists and suggested Eminem never helped their careers.
“So let’s go down your stable, Gunn left your label/Benny left your label, Con left your label/Royce left your label, Joe Budden left your label/Ortiz left your label, no, Crooked I couldn’t save you/Yelawolf been out her flopping/And where the hell Ca$his at though/Heard from Obie Trice only twice and not a word from Stat Quo/With all them false lines that you pitched them/Shady Records sound like less of a name and more like a description,” Benzino rapped.
Benzino dropped “Rap Elvis” days after releasing an Eminem diss titled “Vulturius.” Their old feud reignited due to Eminem taking shots at Benzino on the song “Doomsday Pt. 2,” which appeared on Lyrical Lemonade’s All Is Yellow compilation.
Nick Cannon, the multi-faceted entertainer known for his work in television, music, and comedy, is shifting gears with his latest venture into the automotive world. “Nick Cannon’s Big Drive,” a series produced by his NCredible, showcases Cannon’s fervor for cars, extending from his penchant for collecting and customizing to engaging with celebrity friends over shared automotive passions.
This high-octane series not only highlights Cannon’s enthusiasm for driving and designing but also positions him in the driver’s seat for a unique blend of celebrity interviews and automotive exploration. As the host, Cannon takes viewers on a scenic journey, riding alongside A-list celebrities such as Mike Tyson, Jeezy, Rita Ora, N.O.R.E, NLE Choppa, and Snoop Dogg. The show promises to deliver more than just a glimpse into the world of luxury cars; it offers an intimate look at the personalities behind the wheel.
Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur and Mr. Ncredible chop it up over his favorite cars, the wisdom of Mike Tyson, and what he uses to pick up his children in.
AllHipHop: Mr. Ncredible, Nick Cannon, how you doing today, my brother?
Nick Cannon: Talking about I’m good, man. How you been OG?
AllHipHop: Good. Good, man. So congratulations on the new show, “Nick Cannon’s Big Drive.”
Nick Cannon: I feel like we’ve done this so many times on the various things.
AllHipHop: I know, I know. Definitely.
Nick Cannon: Good luck charm again. We rocking.
AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s what’s up. So first things first, I’m going to give you a few quick questions. First of all, what was your first car?
Nick Cannon: My first car that I owned and it actually operated was my mom’s old school, 325 1987 BMW.
AllHipHop: Okay, okay. Okay. It ran though.
Nick Cannon:
It wasn’t too shabby for driving to school and for you know…
AllHipHop: Yeah, that’s a nice way to go to school.
Nick Cannon: It wasn’t nothing to new, but it was still a BMW.
AllHipHop: What was your favorite car? Or rather the one you own now? What’s your favorite car now?
Nick Cannon: Oh man. Probably the one I drive every day that I pick my kids up in is a monster truck that I built, all blacked out Tundra. We got like [inaudible], custom and incredible. Got the snorkel grill. It looked like apocalyptic vibes pulling up to the PTA meetings.
AllHipHop: Okay, that was kind of my next question. What type of car, so that’s kind of the type of car you like those big [trucks] or do you have another one? Is that more functional though?
Nick Cannon: Yeah, honestly, because even how the weather’s been in lately and stuff. And my kids, they be tearing s### up. So it is like you want that car that is all-purpose, but still cool. You know what I mean? Clearly I got the sports cars and the Rolls Royces and my classic cars, but there’s nothing, you could get something to move around, but it’s still fly. But I still like to stand out, but I like to be safe and then at the same time, it’s practical for the family.
AllHipHop: What about a dream car, maybe one you don’t have?
Nick Cannon: That’s a good … Dream. Probably… We here in the Peterson Museum right now, there’s some stuff in here that’s next level. So I thought I had my dream cars and then you go, you walk through this museum, they got Phantoms from 1934. They got Bugattis from [back in the day], I didn’t even know they was old. I felt like Bugatti just came out when Future was singing about it, but they got Bugattis the 1930s or something like that. So yeah, man, I’m a lover of classic cars, so I’m probably even for season two of “Big Drive,” I have a Lincoln Continental 1962 that we going to try to convert over to electric.
AllHipHop: Word, word.
Nick Cannon: I might kind of fly to bring the two worlds together. So that would definitely be a dream car, we could put lid off to where I could take an old school classic, a Lincoln Continental and make it electric.
AllHipHop: Nice. So you are already looking at season two. That’s what’s up.
Nick Cannon: You know me, I’m always thinking forward. You got to speak into existence. That big drive energy.
AllHipHop: Mike Tyson is on there. That’s my favorite fighter. There’s a lot of greats of course, but Mike’s my favorite. Driving with him, was there off camera-talk? Did he give you any tips, any wisdom, any nuggets?
Nick Cannon: Man, not only is that my favorite fighter, but probably one of my favorite people on this planet, man, that dude’s a titan. It’s just so brilliant the way his mind works. All that he’s been through and overcome, just the resiliency, the compassion that he has. He’s a warrior, but at the same time, man, he has such a big heart. So he was dropping. He’s philosophical with his gems, you know what I mean? He’ll say something and now you thinking about it all night. So definitely riding with Mike was in experience, man. He was just telling me, man, how he’s just appreciated for love and compassion right now, man. He really tapped into his family and it is the Zen Mike right now.
AllHipHop: Yeah. Well, give people a little quick nugget about the show and what you want them to walk away with or expect to see.
Nick Cannon: Man, inspiration. It’s that big drive energy. What drives you day-to-day. It’s fun. You know what I mean? Hopefully we give you those tidbits of inspiration, but at the same time it’s shareable content, it’s stuff that you can relate to by hearing some of the stories from some entertainers, from everyone from Lil Durk, Snoop Dogg, NLE Choppa, Mike Tyson. It’s just really just riding around with the homies.
AllHipHop: That’s what’s up, man. Well, appreciate you brother, and I wish you much more success.
Nick Cannon: Likewise.
“Nick Cannon’s Big Drive” isn’t only about the cars; it’s about the stories, the shared memories, and the spontaneous conversations that unfold on the road. Each episode is a journey through picturesque landscapes, with Cannon and his guests discussing personal anecdotes, industry insights, and the unspoken bond formed through a mutual appreciation of automotive culture. The show premieresFebruary 15 on Tubi with the first two episodes and weekly thereafter. Check out a preview below.
Mo’Nique sat down on the Club Shay Shay couch to talk about her entertainment career and other topics. At one point, the Oscar-winning actress had a few words for The Breakfast Club.
“People were having call-ins when I said, ‘This is not right.’ I was ‘Donkey of the Day.’ Remember that?” Mo’Nique asked Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast.
Mo also said, “The Breakfast Nubs called me the ‘Donkey of the Day.’ That’s what they said. And they had a whole call-in about how I was the ‘Donkey of the Day.’ But you didn’t do the same thing when you found out we settled.”
Netflix and Mo’Nique agreed to a settlement after she sued the streaming platform for discrimination. The two sides “amicably resolved” their issues, and then Netflix announced a comedy special starring the Maryland native.
“We gave Mo’Nique big love when the Netflix special happened,” Charlamagne Tha God stated on the latest edition of The Breakfast Club. He also added, “And I said, ‘You know what? That’s why I need to mind my damn business when it comes to other people’s business.'”
In June 2022, then co-host Angela Yee covered Mo’Nique’s finalized legal agreement with Netflix on The Breakfast Club. Charlamagne Tha God asked about the details of the settlement but he did not further comment on the situation during that particular “Rumor Report” segment.
Jeezy will be the next Hip-Hop act to show up on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts series. The I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget album creator recorded a set for the show.
On Wednesday (February 7), Jeezy announced his Tiny Desk appearance with a social media post. That tweet by the Atlanta-bred recording artist collected more than 4,000 likes.
“Let me take y’all on a journey… #tinydesk,” the CTE New World label founder wrote on X. He included several still photos of his performance from the Washington, DC-based location.
2023 saw several rap stars perform on Tiny Desk Concerts. Ab-Soul, Trina, Juvenile, Action Bronson and Scarface hit the stage for NPR Music throughout the year. R&B legend Usher took part in one of the most viral Tiny Desks of all time in 2022.
Jeezy entered the Tiny Desk space after dropping I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget in November 2023. The 29-track, feature-less double LP had production by Ricky Polo, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, ATL Jacob, Hendrix, Cubeatz and more.
Previously, Jeezy released the Billboard 200 chart-topping albums The Inspiration (2006), The Recession (2008) and Trap Or Die 3 (2016). His discography contains hit singles such as “Soul Survivor” featuring Akon, “Go Crazy” featuring Jay-Z, “Put On” featuring Kanye West, and “Love in This Club” with Usher.
Festivalgoers in South Florida will also have the chance to see Jeezy perform live at the Jazz In The Gardens Music Festival in March. The Adversity for Sale author joins a lineup that also includes Scarface, Maxwell, Babyface and others.
Harry Belafonte passed away on April 25, 2023, at 96 years old. The Recording Academy honored the iconic musician/activist as part of the “In Memoriam” segment at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, but the late singer’s family wanted to see more.
“Love @itstonybennett Love @tinaturner Love @sinadeocconor. Why the @recordingacademy [chose] not to do a special tribute to you I will #never understand! So here is my Grammy tribute to you dad!” Gina Belafonte wrote on Facebook.
She continued, “So many winners you’ve mentored! So many winners you shared your stage with. You are the winner @theharrybelafonte and we are better because of your contribution! Belafonte’s career breakthrough album Calypso (1956) was the first million-selling LP by a single artist.”
In addition, Shari Belafonte echoed her sibling’s frustrations with this year’s Grammy Awards. Shari used her Facebook page to list some of Harry Belafonte’s accolades as a recording artist. For example, the “Banana Boat (Day-O)” performer is a non-competitive EGOT recipient.
“I’m taking Gina Belafonte’s lead on this. While the folks who had a bit more of a #shoutout on the #GrammyAwards this year were absolutely deserving of accolades, I’m a bit appalled that our father was not included in a #SpecialTribute and I’m not just saying that because he was our father,” Shari Belafonte posted on Facebook.
She also added, “While no doubt, Tony Bennett and Tina Turner were special indeed, Harry contributed far more to society and the music industry than those two put together, in my humble opinion. The Grammys missed a major moment.”
Harry Belafonte won two Grammy Awards during his career. He first took home a golden gramophone when Swing Dat Hammer won Best Performance – Folk in 1961. An Evening With Belafonte/Makeba scored a Best Folk Recording victory at 1966’s 8th Annual Grammy Awards.
Additionally, Belafonte won a Tony Award in 1954 and an Emmy Award in 1960. Plus, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented the Harlem-born entertainer with the non-competitive Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Oscar’s 2014 Governors Awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted him in 2022.
The Recording Academy featured numerous artists in the Grammy Award show’s “In Memoriam” montage. Hip-Hop acts such as DJ Mark the 45 King, Magoo, Gangsta Boo and Trugoy the Dove were included in the tribute. Special performances commemorated Tina Turner, Tony Bennett, Sinead O’Connor and Clarence Avant.
Kai Cenat has become one of the most popular rap-centered streamers. Joe Budden is one of the most popular rap-centered podcasters. Now, the two media figures are in a war of words.
After Killer Mike took home a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album on Sunday (February 4), Kai Cenat took issue with the Atlanta native winning over Drake & 21 Savage’s Her Loss, Travis Scott’s UTOPIA and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains.
“I don’t know who this is, OK,” Cenat said. “Hey brother, God bless you. Congratulations. Who decided this motherf###er? Who the f### decided this motherf###er?!”
Joe Budden blasted Kai Cenat for his take on Killer Mike’s Michael scoring the victory at the Grammys. On the “Business Decisions” episode of his podcast, the 43-year-old retired rapper flamed the NYC native, saying, “Shut your a## up, little n####!” Joe Budden expressed about Kai Cenat. “Y’all little streaming n###s don’t always run s###! Shut the f### up!”
Budden later added, “I’m just so happy that the little f###ety-f###s, finally, finally, have a ‘look in the mirror moment’ and say, ‘Ah, it’s not about us.’ No! Adults are out, n####!”
Kai Cenat responds to Joe Budden after he bashed Kai for his opinion on Artist “Killer Mike”
Kai Cenat got wind of Joe Budden’s remarks. The 2023 Streamer Of The Year for the Streamer Awards fired back at Budden during a recent livestream broadcast.
“I’m not familiar with Killer Mike,” Cenat said. “I was just saying I felt like UTOPIA should have won. Y’all gotta stop talking about streaming n####s, bro! Stop doing that like we’re some little n####!”
“I would buy you! Do you understand that, bro? Do you understand that, my n####? You say it don’t come off as hating, but you’re always bringing me up! Relax, my n####! Stop!”
Kai Cenat did pay respect to “old n####s” during his stream. He also acknowledged fault for not doing more research on Killer Mike but stood by his original opinion about the Best Rap Album category.
“The reason why s###’s going so crazy right now, and y’all not being able to comprehend s###, is because it’s just simply a new wave of n####s, bro. It’s just simply a new wave of n###s. That’s what it is. Shout out to Killer Mike,” Cenat said.
Will Latto’s upcoming “Sunday Service” single serve as a response to the Atlanta rapper’s adversaries? A veteran DJ from New York City seems to confirm the song will aim at someone.
Funkmaster Flex shared a screenshot of an alleged text from RCA Records representative Kevin Valentini on Instagram. Valentini’s message read, “Latto firing back… ‘Sunday Service’ drops Friday… you’ll have it when I get it.”
The Hot 97 radio personality captioned his Instagram post, “HAD TO LET @INCA_NY/@RCARECORDS KNOW THAT I AM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ICE SPICE FAN CLUB! PLUS I’M FROM THE BRONX! [face with tears of joy emojis].”
In January, Latto uploaded a “Sunday Service” snippet. Ice Spice appeared on a television screen in the clip as Latto raps, “I just want a one-on-one, don’t know why she’s so nervous.”
Ice Spice reacted to that viral “Sunday Service” promotional video. She said, “Why am I seeing that I’m in the back of your weak-ass snippet?” I was like, ‘Wait a second, that’s me?’”
The Capitol Records-backed performer also confirmed Latto’s video inspired her “Think U the S### (Fart)” single. “Sunday Service” hits DSPs on Friday (February 9).
Joe Budden is steaming mad over Travis Scott and Playboi Carti’s energetic performance at the Grammys, calling them out on the latest episode of his podcast.
While he loves their song, “Fein“, Budden thinks the duo lacked the decorum required for the prestigious occasion. He also tore into Scott over his stage antics before calling out Carti for wearing a mask.
“What the f### is Travis and his man doing up here?” Budden questioned. “Ay, you two bozos! Get the f### off the stage when n####s got beautiful women and tuxedos on, honestly. You up there smashing s###. You got the nerve.”
Although Budden admitted the set was “on brand,” he deemed it inappropriate for the Grammys.
“All that s### look different when it ain’t a thousand little white kids jumping up and down. When there are grown people here, all that ‘fein, fein, fein,’ that’s what you wanted to win over Killer Mike? You’re fu###n’ stupid!”
Joe Budden left Travis Scott for a moment, pivoting to Carti and clowning him for performing in a mask.
“You bring your man out, Playboi Carti. The crowd just stays silent,” Budden added. “Playboi Carti looked confused like, ‘Y’all don’t know who I am?’ No, n####! You got a f###ing mask on. Who the f### are you under there? You are not at SXSW anymore! We can’t recognize you Bozo’s by the stocking mask you’re wearing. I hate these n####, man, all of ’em!”
Joe Budden trashes Travis Scott & Playboi Carti's Grammy FE!N performance 😭😭😭
Rick Ross is weighing in on the Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion beef, sharing his thoughts on what is “too far” in rap beef.
The warring duo sent shots at each other on diss tracks, sending shockwaves through the internet. Minaj references Meg’s deceased mom in her song. She also advised Megan to “conjure up her mother and apologize,” during an Instagram Live amid the drama.
Security was ramped up at Megan’s mother’s grave site after Nicki Minaj stans shared the address online.
In addition, the family of the late Megan Kanka called out the Houston rapper over her “Megan’s Law” lyric.
Despite all the controversy, Rick Ross says there’s no such thing as going too far in rap beef.
“I really don’t think you could go too far,’ he said during a recent appearance on the Impaulsive podcast. “This a sport. It’s Hip-Hop, it’s about having that fun. I call it fun. Megan got off her record, she got off her joint. You know Nicki being the queen she is in the rap game, she responded, got off a record, and that’s what you supposed to do.”
The hosts asked Rick Ross if Nicki Minaj went too far by mentioning Megan Thee Stallion’s mom.
“Is she disrespecting her dead mother? I haven’t heard it,” he said. “I’ve done things too. When I’m at odds and I’m making my music, I’ve done things and said things So, sometimes it’s f### ‘em.”
D.L. Hughley is calling out Mo’Nique, claiming she lied about him during her recent viral interview with Shannon Sharpe on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.
“Every time I see Mo’Nique these days, she’s doing some greasy ass video with her and her daddy complaining about something or working out,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.
In her Club Shay Shay interview, Mo’Nique claimed her beef with Hughley stems from an issue she had with him over a segment on his radio show. Hughley was not there during her appearance, but his co-hosts asked her to play a game of “Would You Rather,” and asked questions about her husband.
Mo’Nique took offense to the segment and called Hughley to vent about it.
Did Mo’Nique accuse DL Hughley of having Zesty Tendencies on Club Shay Shay?? Aayyooo.. pic.twitter.com/clhCMpqY9q
However, Hughley claims Mo’nique is being less than truthful.
“She said I was very dismissive,” Hughley stated in reference to Mo’Nique’s Club Shay Shay interview. “Monique’s a liar. When Mo’Nique did call me, I heard her complaints. I listened to her, and I pulled the segment. So, if I had been as dismissive as she alleges I was, that segment would have aired. It didn’t because I respected her wishes. She’s a liar.”
He went on to address his recent public spat with the actress and comedian, which began over a contract dispute and led to Mo’Nique condemning Hughley’s alleged handling of his daughter’s sexual assault complaint.
“This broad even brought out my daughter’s personal trauma,” Hughley continued. “My daughter was molested, and Monique bought that s### out and told the world that I allowed my daughter to be raped in front of me. The lying muthafucka.”
According to Hughley, Mo’Nique “knows she was lying,” and only stopped when his family members “checked her.”
Chrisean Rock is facing backlash over her comments on the plight of the Palestinian people amid the war in Gaza.
During a recent Instagram Live talk, the reality TV starlet and her sister discussed the war as scripture fulfilled.
“They don’t believe in Jesus,” Chrisean Rock said. “So that’s why it’s happening right there.”
She also referred to Palestinians as “them people that’s bowing down with them carpets that’s on the floor.”
Chrisean Rock continued, “I seen videos where they pray at. It’s cockroaches and infested with … so, what is God trying to tell us? What is the message being the chaos. Yeah, we know war, the war. But things always happen for a reason and it’s happening.”
The sisters claimed the war was a sign of the second coming of Christ and the arrival of “end times.”
“I feel like all that stuff is happening where Jesus was born for a reason,” she added. “It has to correlate to something about God. Yeah, it has something to do with the war, but it has something to do spiritual too.”
Rock went on to explain her “theory” behind the conflict in the region.
“That’s where Jesus was born at but it’s like a lot of people over there, they don’t pray to Jesus. They praying to Allah and they saying Jesus just was a prophet. So, I thought it had something to do with that,” she stated.
Last month, CNN reported “About one in every 100 people in Gaza has been killed since the war between Israel and Hamas erupted on October 7.”
Chrisean Rock Slammed Online For Views On War In Gaza
Viewers of the live began leaving in droves, and social media users called for her cancellation once clips surfaced online.
“Muslims believe in Jesus! What about the Palestinian Christian’s that are being slaughtered & the churches that Israel has bombed? How can you justify 30,000+ civilians being killed?” wrote one Instagram User.
“Girl you don’t believe in Jesus u believe in blue face sit this one out suh,” another added.
A third person declared, “omg, she’s finally going to get canceled fr!! THANK YOU!!”
Check out some of the other reactions below.
Chrisean Rock is a dumb, no surprise. But for her to go and say that s### about people in Palestine just p##### me off.
You’re speaking on something you have no knowledge of. Those people are losing their lives and you’re trying to justify it?
Chrisean Rock getting on Beyoncé’s internet to say the Genocide going on in Palestine is because people pray to Allah is the most Distasteful and Ignorant thing I’ve ever heard.
If yall still support chrisean rock after she literally said the reason why Palestinian people are getting killed is c## they don’t believe in Jesus then you are just ass disgusting and ignorant as her.
Usher has revealed stars including Michael Jackson and Madonna have inspired his upcoming Super Bowl performance. The R&B legend is due to headline the Apple Music Halftime Show on Sunday and has been studying his favorite past performances to pick up tips.
“I’ve enjoyed Prince, Coldplay, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Madonna,” he said in an interview with Billboard. “There are tons of things that I was able to pick up on, from looking at how they chose to enter, what they did while they were onstage and how they chose to close.”
When it comes to his favorite Halftime headline performance, there is only one winner for Usher.
“But the one that really stands out is Michael,” the Yeah! singer said. “Michael brought in his own director, obviously paid a lot of money and spent a lot of time designing that incredible moment.”
Usher, 45, also revealed he has spoken to a series of music superstars who previously headlined the high-profile event.
“I’ve happened to be around a few people who’ve played the Super Bowl, and they did give me some pointers,” he teased. “I also happened to be on a boat not too long ago with Katy Perry, who gave me some notes. I heard that Rihanna stood up for me and said something really incredible about Usher landing the gig. I really appreciated that.”
Usher went on to reveal he is “so ready” for the performance and promised fans it would be a celebration of his 30 years in the music industry.
“I’m so ready for it to happen. I just want to sing louder than I’ve ever sang; dance harder than I’ve ever danced,” he vowed.
Kristin Cavallari has claimed she “dodged a bullet” by turning down a date with Sean “Diddy” Combs. “The Laguna Beach” star claimed during Tuesday’s episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast that Diddy inundated her with Valentine’s Day gifts and asked her out on a date around 15 years ago.
“He sent me the biggest bouquet of flowers I’ve ever seen. The biggest box of chocolates I’ve ever seen. A huge teddy bear,” she said. “I mean, it was like, ‘H########.’ I mean, it was multiple people bringing s### into my house. It was like s### you see in a movie.”
Diddy aka “Love,” 54, allegedly told Cavallari, 37, that she was his “TV crush” and “kept asking (her) out” – but she wasn’t interested.
“I mean, there’s obviously a part where you’re like, ‘Whoa, this guy is spoiling the s### out of me.’ Like that’s so sweet, and I’ve never met this guy,” she explained. “I could never just go on a date with someone because it was so-and-so. I have always had to be attracted to you… I don’t want to be the arm candy.”
In hindsight, the TV personality believes his extravagant gifts were a “red flag,” adding, “I mean, that’s some love-bombing kind of shit.”
Kristin Cavallari added that she “dodged a fucking bullet” by rejecting Diddy, who was accused of sexual assault by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura late last year. They settled her lawsuit a day after it was filed.
After three more women came forward with sexual misconduct allegations, Diddy wrote on Instagram, “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
Afrobeats artist Blaqbonez is best known for his spitfire rhymes and versatility, all captured within his different personas. At the age of 13, Blaqbonez was already spitting, releasing his first project called Hip Hop Is Blaq while attending Obafemi Awolowo University. He soon made a name for himself amongst the students, which eventually transferred to social media. Boasting 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone, Blaqbonez even coined himself as BRIA: Best Rapper in Africa.
Three words to describe Blaqbonez? Unpredictable, exciting, and spontaneous. He states, “I’m a rapper, singer, Afrobeats artist. I can make so many different sounds. I consider my music very exciting. It’s a different brand to it. To me, it’s a little more unpredictable.”
Fast forward to 2023, Blaqbonez returns with his sophomore album, Emeka Must Shine, solidifying his role as a transformative figure in the world of Afrobeats. The 14-track project hails standout appearances from Victony, Ludcaris, Zlatan and more.
AllHipHop caught up with Blaqbonez during his few days in Los Angeles, with Akon personally calling him to perform with him at the “Grammy Salute To 50 Years Of Hip-Hop” Live Concert Special. Read below as we discuss his roots in Lagos, his new song “Like Ice Spice,” working with Ludacris, and more!
AllHipHop: Growing up in Lagos, did you ever think you’d be here today?
When I was a kid, I never thought I’d be coming in and out of the U.S frequently like this. So far, I’ve been to the U.S 5-6 times this year alone. That is a lot for someone like me. Being a kid from Nigeria, I neer have thought I would ever be in the U.S yet alone this often. I am grateful for the path I have been on and the trajectory of my career so far.
AllHipHop: What do you like about Los Angeles?
Man, I love the scenery here. I love that it is always sunny and there are so many palm trees. I love the hills and the vegetation. I love LA so far.
AllHipHop: I’m curious what Lagos looks like.
Lagos is nice, but Lagos could have had better city planning. Lagos has great spots here and there. Llots of great people and great things came out of Lagos and Nigeria in general, but the planning and structuring out the city could have definitely been better.
AllHipHop: How’d you get your name?
Funny story, it was my friend’s name. He wasn’t using it, so he gave it to me. From then, the name just stuck with me.
AllHipHop: You just released Emeka Must Shine. What’s one thing you want fans to take away from this project?
Man, I want this project to be part of my fans’ happy moments. I want it to be part of the celebrations they have in their lives. When you go to the club and hear my music, I want you to have a good time. During your exciting week or celebrating something, I want my album to be part of your good times. That’s what this album is for me. That’s the takeaway.
AllHipHop: I was listening to “Like Ice Spice.” Has she heard it?
Blaqbonez: I’m sure she has and I hope she liked it. The song is dedicated to her beautiful self.
AllHipHop: What do you like about Ice Spice?
Blaqbonez: She’s so sexy. When she did the “Munch” video, I liked the way she would go down and shake her ass. “Like Ice Spice” is a tribute to her and how Ice moves.
AllHipHop: Let’s talk about what it was like linking up with Zlatan on “Bad Till Eternity.”
Blaqbonez: This song is definitely for the culture man. It was nice linking up with my bro Zlatan. We’ve known each other from way way way back, so when we met up we decided to make a song to honor the late artist MohBad. His death really hit a lot of us in the game, so it was nice doing this with Zlatan for his tribute.
AllHipHop: Let’s talk about getting that call to perform with Akon in Los Angeles for a pre-Grammys party.
Blaqbonez: Yeah man I just got a call and they said Akon wanted to bring me out for a grammys tribute concert. After my mouth dropped, I said “say less I am there!” It was exciting when I got that call, because I was shocked Akon knew who I was. Akon personally wanting me to perform with him is one of the highlight moments for me this year. I am excited about it and can’t wait for you all to see it.
AllHipHop: What’s you guys’ relationship like?
Blaqbonez: Me and Akon? He’s f#### with what I’m doing and the music I am making. I love that. I always looked up to him growing up, so now that I get to actually work with him I am thrilled and blessed. I can’t wait for everyone to see the GRAMMY Salute To 50 Years Of Hip-Hop” Live Concert Special.
AllHipHop: How’d you end up working with Ludacris?
Blaqbonez: I do sessions with other artists so much. It always happens so easily and organically. With Luda, his team reached out to my team that Ludacris would love to make an Afrobeat song with me. From there, they flew me out to Ghana where he was doing a session camp. That’s where we made “Cinderella Girl.” Having him do a verse for that song was everything!
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
Blaqbonez: My phone, weed, and a drink…usually it’s water. Those are my essentials in the studio.
AllHipHop: Best encounter you have with a fan?
Blaqbonez: There’s so many. I love my fans and every time I meet them it is an exciting moment. I really make sure to give them that time, because they are the ones really pushing me to continue this.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Blaqbonez: Right now, I’m trying to figure that out, because I am always working and I love working. However, when I am not working, I like to Netflix and chill. I also love gaming with friends. I rarely go out unless I have to.
AllHipHop: Anything else you’re excited for?
Blaqbonez: So many exciting things are coming up. My team and I are trying to set up a tour to continue pushing the album. I am working on a few more collaborations and features that will come out next year. I’m really just enjoying this ride. I am grateful for my team, my fans, and that this album is finally out. I really hope the world enjoys it.
AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?
Blaqbonez: My goal right now is to have a song in the Billboard Hot 100. That’d be nice. Long term goal is to get a Grammy since they finally created an Afrobeats category. I cannot wait to see what’s to come.
Suge Knight has targeted Snoop Dogg online on social media following the Long Beach rapper’s response to his recent allegations against several Hip-Hop industry moguls.
On Wednesday (February 7), Knight initiated a rampage on Twitter (X) focused on Snoop after it appears he undermined the claims the former Death Row Records boss made on his podcast. During the most recent episode of Collect Call With Suge Knight, which arrived on February 5, Knight claimed Diddy‘s former Uptown Records boss, the late AndreHarrell, was involved in a secret affair with Russell Simmons. In a comment on an Instagram post, Snoop wrote, “SMH I’m praying for that brother he finds peace.”
Knight caught wind of the comment and it appeared to set him off on a rant in which he accused Snoop of lying, being a fake Crip and more.
”Show the agreement or proof of payment and I’ll shut up!!! Bet you can’t!!! #Deathrow #snoopdogg,” Knight wrote in the initial tweet.
Knight’s podcast landed him in hot-water last December after the inaugural episode put Akon in the incarcerated former executives crosshairs over rape allegations the Konvict singer threatened legal action over.
Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas is apparently hyperaware of Ginuwine’s résumé when it comes to physical altercations. According to Arenas, the R&B singer is nearly as talented with his hands as he is with his voice.
Mandatory pause after that sentence.
Arenas made the claim during a recent episode of his podcast, Gil’s Arena. Apparently, the “Pony” vocalist punched out a former hooper after apparently being disrespected.
”I did see an NBA player get two-pieced in the club by Ginuwine,” Gil said in part.
Gil claimed Ginuwine came to blows with a player after he allegedly refused the accept the bottle service sent to him, while also insulting Ginuwine in a homophobic fashion. While it may seem hard to believe, a random user in the comment appeared to confirm Ginuwine’s reputation as a bruiser in real life. Apparently, one man’s uncle was also on the receiving end of a beatdown from Ginuwine and his crew after the singer apparently tried to take unc’s woman back in 1999 at a concert.
