Kevin Hart Says Nude Scene With Mark Wahlberg Was The Highlight For Him In Making “Me Time”

Kevin Hart has conceded Mark Wahlberg’s nude scene in “Me Time” “made the movie better.”

In the comedy, Kevin Hart plays a stay-at-home dad who finds himself with some “me time” for the first time in years but ends up reconnecting with a pal, as played by Wahlberg, for a wild weekend that nearly upends his life.

Reflecting on the moment Mark Wahlberg greets him utterly naked except for a pair of running shoes in an interview for “Extra,” Kevin Hart joked that having a near-nude Wahlberg in the project was a highlight of the production.

“(The scene) made the movie better,” he smiled. “That definitely was written, and he was a great sport about it.”

Wahlberg went on to insist that he was totally fine with stripping down for the part, especially as the character was in direct contrast to his other movie project – an action-thriller titled “Our Man from Jersey.”

“It was an absolute joy because I just come from making a movie that was very serious,” he shared. “Just to be able to have fun and try stuff and, you know, be made to look silly, but running around naked with a pair of sneakers on in the marina, wearing Daisy Dukes on a boat.”

Directed by John Hamburg, “Me Time” is streaming on Netflix now.

French Montana Launches Initiative To Help People In Music Business Struggling With Addiction

Rap star French Montana is doing his part to wipe out the scourge of drug addiction thanks to a new partnership with the Guardian Recovery Network.

Through the partnership, French and GRN have launched NAQI Healthcare, which will offer in-home and private accommodation detoxification services.

Currently, French is targeting clients in Florida, New York, Texas, and California. However, the rap star hopes to expand the partnership with NAQI Healthcare in the near future.

“When I lost my good friend Mac Miller to addiction, it was devastating to all of us. I only wish he had services like NAQI before it was too late,” French Montana explained.

Clients battling addiction will receive a treatment team and 24/7 medical and clinical care in the best location for them.

French and the Guardian Recovery Network team believe NAQI Healthcare will help deliver favorable results for those who have not been able to receive personal care for their dependence in the past.

“I’ve seen many of us artists’ struggle. The music industry is no joke, it lifts a lot of us up, but it can tear you down just as fast,” French Montana said.

The partnership with Guardian Recovery Network is a continuation of French Montana’s mission in the healthcare field.

After the rap star visited Uganda in 2017 to perform to shoot the video for his hit single “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee, French saw firsthand the hardships locals faced when it came to healthcare.

French eventually teamed up with the Mama Hope Foundation and Global Citizen and opened the Suubi “Hope” Maternity Center to help serve over 300,000 people who need healthcare services in Uganda.

French, Montana, and NAQI Healthcare are working on an annual fundraising music event to give away 100% of the earnings to create scholarships for people needing mental health and substance abuse treatment nationwide.

Latto Teams With Planned Parenthood And Slams Abortion Opponents

Atlanta rap star Latto has teamed up with Planned Parenthood to fight the Supreme Court’s controversial ruling to take away a woman’s Constitutional right to abortion.

The Supreme Court issued the ruling on June 24th in a 6-3 vote to uphold a Mississippi abortion ban and 5-4 to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Latto’s song “P*SSY” is up for Best New Artist and Video For Good for addressing the ban at the MTV Video Music Awards. She is using the partnership with Planned Parenthood to remind her fans to keep up the fight for abortion rights and access in America.

According to stats, almost 1 in 3 women have lost the right to abortion as states enact bans around the country – including Latto’s hometown of Clayton County, Georgia.

Legislators in Clayton County recently passed H.B. 481, which would criminalize an abortion after six weeks.

“We already know who’s going to be hurt the most by these ridiculous abortion bans: Black women, Brown women, the LGBTQ+ community, and communities with low incomes,” Latto said. “Because of this country’s history of racism and discrimination, these folks already have a hard time getting the health care they need. We all deserve to be safe, and it’s every person’s right to make decisions about their own bodies. As an artist, I want to use my platform to let these politicians know: My body is for no one to control but me.”

Latto just announced she would donate a portion of her earnings generated by “P*SSY” to Planned Parenthood. Caren Spruch, national director, Arts & Entertainment Engagement at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, was happy Latto was stepping up to keep the attention on the issue of a woman’s right to an abortion.

“We’ve been privileged to have the support of many wonderful musical artists who are speaking out about the attacks on abortion. When a prominent artist like Latto uses their platform to amplify the need for reproductive rights for all, it’s a very powerful moment,” Spruch said. “Latto’s voice will do so much to inspire others to use their voices, too, and we are thrilled that she is speaking her truth. In this time of widespread loss of abortion access, the time for us all to speak up is now.”

In addition to being nominated for “P*SSY,” Latto is up for three other MTV Video Music Awards. The VMA’s airs tomorrow (August 28th).

Wiz Khalifa Concert Turns Into Chaos; Fans Flee, Cops Lock Down Venue

All hell broke loose last night (August 26th ) at a Wiz Khalifa concert in Indiana, leaving concertgoers in fear of their lives.

The chart-topping rapper was the headlining act at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville. Towards the end of his set, a fight broke out near the front of the stage, which disrupted the fans’ experience.

Things got even worse when some people thought they heard the sounds of gunshots. As a result, hundreds of patrons started running towards the exit.

“Everyone just fled the @wizkhalifa show at @ruoffmusicenter. People were screaming about shooting. We all ran out… climbed fences, did anything to get out,” said Rory Appleton, who covers pop culture for the Indy Star.

Local law enforcement policing the venue sprung into action and quickly locked down the area.

“The emergency plan was initiated and followed, and all gates, including non-public exits, were opened. Subsequently, the venue patrons self-evacuated,” a representative with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

“Police staff deployed multiple quick response teams and swept the area. No weapons were found,” the statement continued.

Three individuals were taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. So far, there have been no arrests.

The outing is part of the Vinyl Verse Tour featuring Logic, DJ Drama, and others. The tour kicked off in July and ends on September 2nd in St. Louis.

The Notorious B.I.G. Mural Vandalized In Brooklyn

A mural of The Notorious B.I.G. was defaced in Clinton Hill, the neighborhood where he grew up in Brooklyn.

Vincent Ballentine, the artist who created the mural in 2019, woke up to see his work vandalized. He spoke to CBS New York about what The Notorious B.I.G. mural meant to the Clinton Hill community on Friday (August 26).

“I think the neighborhood really saw it as he was one of ours, and he made it out,” Ballentine said. “And he made something of himself. That’s the story that people hold on to.”

The Notorious B.I.G. mural is located on the wall of a beauty salon. The location became a go-to destination for the Hush Hip Hop Tours.

“This is his stomping ground, everything,” tour guide Johnny Famous told CBS New York. “Biggie means a lot to the whole world, so for somebody to do this, it’s ridiculous. I know there’s a million cameras out here. Somebody saw something.”

Several Clinton Hill residents expressed their disappointment with the vandalism. One of those people was LeRoy McCarthy, who led the movement to get a Brooklyn street renamed in The Notorious B.I.G.’s honor.

“This is unfortunate,” McCarthy said. “A lot of hard work went into putting the artwork up by the artist and also the business owners and the neighborhood really appreciated it. People come from all over the world to come take a picture in front of this mural.”

Police are investigating the vandalism incident. Ballentine plans to fix the Biggie mural.

Kevin Hart has entered the fast food business with a restaurant called Hart House.

The comedian opened his plant-based restaurant in Los Angeles on Thursday (August 25). Kevin Hart’s new business offers burgers and sandwiches within the $5-7 price range.

“Our business is in the business of feeling good,” he told Associated Press. “That’s what Kevin Hart is about.”

Jay-Z $7 Million Richer After Perfume Company Ordered To Pay Up

Jay-Z scored another victory in his legal battle with the Parlux perfume company.

According to the New York Post, a judge ordered the company to pay Jay-Z roughly $7 million in unpaid royalties on Thursday (August 25). Parlux appealed the judge’s ruling.

“We’ve been awarded and will be receiving the money as we should,” Hov’s attorney Alex Spiro told the New York Post.

Parlux sued Jay-Z for breach of contract in 2016. The company sought more than $67 million in damages after accusing him of failing to promote its Gold Jay Z fragrance.

Jay-Z countersued Parlux, claiming the company owed him royalties. Last year, a jury cleared Hov in the breach of contract case. His countersuit was dismissed at the time.

But earlier this year, an appeals court determined Parlux should be on the hook for Jay-Z’s unpaid royalties. Months later, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Andrew Borrok ruled the company must pay $6.78 million to the Roc Nation boss.

Outside of the courtroom, Jay-Z reemerged with a new verse on DJ Khaled’s latest album God Did. Hov appears on the title track, which also features Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, John Legend and Fridayy.

Boosie Flashes $30K In Cop’s Face And Offers Job

Boosie had a lot to say when police pulled him over for speeding in Georgia on Friday (August 26).

The outspoken rapper posted a video of the traffic stop on Instagram. The clip showed Boosie rapping on side of a road and offering a job to a cop.

“I feel like playin today,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m not mad at all I accept what’s comes with being a successful black man today.”

According to TMZ, police stopped Boosie for driving 73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Cops searched his car after smelling weed.

“They got me pulled over again, so I’m finna perform a concert in front of the police,” Boosie said in the video.

Boosie started performing his popular track “Set It Off” before switching to his song “F### the Police.” He also struck up a one-sided conversation with a cop.

“Are we going to jail or not?” he said before flashing his cash. “That’s the question. I don’t know, the money ready. This is pocket change. This is f###### pocket change. If we going to jail, the money is ready. That’s what we need to know. This is pocket change. $30,000 — this is what I keep in my pocket to spend a day.”

Boosie asked about the cop’s salary. He told the officer to come work for him.

“If you ever get tired of working for them, come work for me,” he said. “I’ll pay you double … If you ever tired of this s###, ‘cause you don’t talk much. I like you. So, if you ever get tired of this s###, I will pay you double and get your dick sucked any time you want by Black women.”

Boosie reportedly received citations for speeding and littering. Police found weed in his vehicle but didn’t cite him for it.

Vanessa Bryant Giving $16 million Photo Lawsuit Winnings To Charity

Vanessa Bryant has pledged to donate her $16 million lawsuit winnings to the sports charity named in honor of her late husband and daughter.

Kobe Bryant’s widow won the damages after pursuing legal action against Los Angeles County for the behavior of first responders on the scene of the helicopter crash which killed her husband and 13-year-daughter Gianna in January 2020.

Vanessa filed a complaint claiming first responders had taken and shared photos of the crash scene.

After a trial, a jury ordered Los Angeles County to pay her $16 million as compensation.

Vanessa’s attorney, Luis Li, told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday that her winnings would be donated to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

The foundation, named in honor of Kobe and Gianna, offers sports education to underserved athletes.

Speaking of the case itself, the attorney said, “From the beginning, Vanessa Bryant has sought only accountability, but our legal system does not permit her to force better policies, more training or officer discipline… Those measures are the responsibility of the sheriff’s and fire departments – responsibilities that Mrs. Bryant’s efforts have exposed as woefully deficient, even giving amnesty to the wrongdoers.”

He added that Vanessa hopes her case will stop first responders from taking and sharing photos of accidents and victims, which he called “abhorrent and callous behavior.”

The jury also awarded $15 million to Chris Chester, who lost his wife and daughter in the crash.

Wendy Williams Was Left To Die By “Ex-Manager” And Financial Advisor, Says Former Attorney

An attorney representing Wendy Williams has come forward to defend the media personality’s son, who is accused of running up a massive bill on her credit card.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Kevin Hunter Jr. spent over $100,000 on Wendy’s personal American Express card before the account was shut down.

The suspicious activity played into Wells Fargo’s decision to freeze Wendy Williams’ accounts as she battled health issues.

According to Wells Fargo, the accounts were suspended due to “financial exploitation, dementia, or undue influence.”

Kevin Hunter denied the allegations and said the allegations were a “false narrative perpetrated to justify freezing her accounts.”

Now, Wendy’s ex-lawyer, LaShawn Thomas, is backing the 22-year-old’s narrative and blames the misinformation on the legendary radio host’s ex-financial advisor.

Thomas claimed Wells Fargo advisor Lori Schiller and Wendy’s old manager Bernie Young were the only people that had access to her accounts, and we’re responsible for denying her access to millions of dollars of her own money.

“No bank should have the authority to do that. No one attempted to gain access to any of Wendy’s accounts. The Wells Fargo advisor and [Young] were the only people with access. They left Wendy to die,” Thomas told the New York Post.

According to Thomas, the 58-year-old was forced to live on her Amex card to survive, and Kevin Hunter Jr was a good son by helping her mentally and physically with the assistance of doctors.

According to Thomas, Kevin Hunter Jr went above and beyond for his mother. He cooked, cleaned, and made sure she made all of her appointments and more.

“He absolutely loves his mother without question, and no one should place any blame or allegations of wrongdoing at his feet,” Thomas continued.

Unfortunately, Wendy Williams is still living under guardianship imposed by a New York court.

Wendy Williams is currently locked in a lawsuit with Wells Fargo since she is locked out of access to several million dollars in her bank account.

Wendy believes she is offering eminent and irreparable financial damage since she cannot access her own money.

Lil Wayne Hit With Lawsuit For Punching His Assistant With A Fistful Of Jewelry

Lil Wayne is being sued for allegedly punching his former assistant.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a former personal assistant of the A Milli rapper has filed a complaint claiming he punched him during an argument on the star’s private jet.

Andrew Williams claimed in the documents that he had to intervene in an argument between the rapper and the jet pilot.

“As the group made their way aboard the aircraft, an altercation occurred between the aircraft pilot and Lil Wayne,” the documents read. “Acting in that capacity, Mr. Andrew Williams attempted to prevent the verbal altercation from becoming physical.”

Williams allegedly got in between the rapper and the pilot to prevent them from fighting. After putting his arm between them, Wayne allegedly turned to Williams to “punch him with a closed fist in the jaw.”

French Montana Becomes First African-Born Artist To Earn A Diamond Single

The Recording Industry Association of America awarded French Montana’s “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee with Diamond certification. The 2017 single has officially crossed the 10 million-sold mark in the United States.

This RIAA milestone makes French Montana the first African-born recording artist to earn a Diamond Award. Montana spent his teenage years in The Bronx, New York after being born in Casablanca, Morocco.

Additionally, Montana is the first male rap artist from Hip Hop’s birthplace to have a Diamond single. Bronx-bred female rap star Cardi B has three Diamond-certified records, including “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin.

“Unforgettable” appears on French Montana’s Jungle Rules album. The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also hit #1 on the Hot Rap Songs and Rap Streaming Songs rankings.

In 2017, French Montana pledged $100,000 as part of the #UnforgettableDanceChallenge campaign to help fund ambulances, premature incubators, cribs, and a blood bank for Uganda’s Suubi Health Center.

“I want to be like the perfect example for these kids that come from Africa, that come from third-world countries, that come from places where there’s no hope,” said French Montana. “All you gotta have is faith. And I want to be the face of that.”

Jay-Z Addresses Meek Mill Leaving Roc Nation

Back in July, Meek Mill revealed he is no longer part of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management roster. The “Ima Boss” rhymer did point out that he still has some ties to the company and its leadership.

“All I seen today was Meek and Roc part ways… I’m personally handling my own business so I can take risks and grow,” tweeted Meek. “We came to that agreement together. I have a label deal with Roc for my artist and I got [REFORM Alliance,] super tied with them and many other investments [with Jay-Z].”

The Philadelphia-bred emcee also posted, “They ain’t stop nothing I’m doing. We made about a [$100 Million] together. Mike and Hov saved my life [before]. And put a lot of energy into it. I’m not behind on my favors in life [with] my people. I’m good.”

Later, news broke that Meek Mill signed with the William Morris Endeavor talent agency. The deal includes a partnership between WME and Meek’s Culture Currency initiative. WME represents the 35-year-old entertainer in all areas.

Jay-Z has now addressed his current relationship with Meek Mill. Instead of offering a response on social media, the Brooklynite rapped about Meek leaving Roc Nation on DJ Khaled’s God Did album title track.

“Me and Meek could never beef. I freed that n#### from a whole bid, Hov did,” says Jay-Z on the “God Did” song. The two rap stars are also aligned as members of the Board of Directors for the REFORM Alliance.

Jay-Z’s “God Did” verse also includes references to Kanye West, Rihanna, and LeBron James. The DJ Khaled-fronted collaboration features Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, John Legend, and Fridayy as well.

Offset Drops “CODE” Featuring Moneybagg Yo After Feuding With QC

Kiari “Offset” Cephus continues to release new music as a soloist. This week saw the arrival of “CODE” featuring Memphis-bred rapper Moneybagg Yo via Motown Records.

“CODE” dropped just days after Offset publicly clashed with Quality Control Music’s co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas. According to reports, Set sued the QC label over control of his solo music.

“N##### act like I’m the problem. I paid millions to get my rights back. N####, you blackballed me. I ain’t said s### one time homie. I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years. Now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?” tweeted Offset in response to P.

Rumors of a Migos breakup have circulated online for months. The speculation of dissension in the ranks rose when Quavo and Takeoff presented the “Us Vs Them” single as just a duo.

Around that same time, the National Battle Of The Bands announced an upcoming Migos performance by only promoting Quavo and Takeoff. That show takes place this weekend in Houston.

Meanwhile, Offset began letting loose his own tracks. The Baby Keem-produced “5 4 3 2 1” became Set’s first solo record in three years. The Atlanta native first went solo with the Father of 4 album in 2019.

Offset also released an official “CODE” music video. In addition to Moneybagg Yo, the Claire Arnold-directed visuals star supermodel Bella Hadid. Offset is credited as a co-creative director of the three-minute clip.

DJ Khaled Discusses Migos Breakup Rumors

Today (August 26), DJ Khaled released his thirteenth studio LP, God Did. The project hosts a song titled “Party All the Time” which features Migos members Quavo and Takeoff.

“Party All the Time” did not include Offset, the third member of Migos. The track arrived the same week that Offset publicly feuded with Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas over leaving the label.

Zane Lowe recently spoke to DJ Khaled for Apple Music’s New Music Daily. While discussing his new God Did album, Khaled also shared his thoughts on speculation that Offset has parted ways with Migos and QC.

“Those are all my brothers, all three of them are my brothers, and from their big brother, we want to see them together no matter what,” said DJ Khaled. “Nobody says they’re not together, so I’m not going to be one of those guys that’s going to.”

He added, “Those are brothers. You’re asking me, I’m always going to be like, ‘Those are brothers, and it’s our job to make sure that they continue to be brothers.’ But obviously, they got their thing. I don’t know, but I could tell you this, that m############ Takeoff and Quavo on this album, called ‘Party All the Time.'”

DJ Khaled’s God Did also contains contributions by Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Future, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Roddy Ricch, SZA, Kodak Black, Travis Scott, Gunna, Latto, City Girls, Jadakiss, and more.

Is there anything Jamie Foxx can’t do

Jamie Foxx is one of the most talented artists in the game, with critically acclaimed award-winning performances as an actor, comedian, and singer. However, his latest viral moment comes from his skills as an impressionist.

The multi-hyphenate flexed his talent while promoting his new action-comedy vampire movie, Day Shift. He joined co-star Snoop Doog on the Rap Radar Podcast hosted by Elliot Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller.

“I love Snoop D-O Double-G. Great person,” Jamie Foxx said, mimicking Donald Trump’s distinctive cadence. When asked if he loves Death Row, he nailed some key Trumpisms in response: “I love Death Row Records. I love Death Ro…” as the group erupted in laughter, Foxx said, “Excuse Me. Excuse me, fake news. I love Death Row.”

He also turned to one of Trump’s favorite topics: Covis-19. “They tried to give me the virus,” Jamie Foxx yelled, Donald Trump style. “I beat the virus.”

Finally, Jamie Foxx couldn’t keep up going any longer and burst into laughter himself. “He said ‘they’ tried to give him the virus’,” he mocked, speaking in his own voice. “Who is they?”

Lawyer Of Kenneth Petty’s Rape Accuser Suggests Nicki Minaj’s Team is Responsible For “Heavily Edited” Old Clip Resurfacing

Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty were trending on Twitter earlier this week (Aug. 24) after an old video resurfaced, seemingly of his accuser Jennifer Hough claiming she was pressured into pressing rape charges against him.

The now-viral video features Jennifer Hough stating that she wanted to drop the charges during the trial but was not permitted to do so in court. However, her lawyer claims the old recording is “heavily edited,” adding, “Nicki’s team should post the entire conversation.”

Kenneth Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995. He spent roughly four years in prison after Jennifer Hough alleged that he raped her in 1994.

The resurfaced recording begins with Jennifer Hough explaining what she said to the judge during the 90s trial. “Your Honor. I’m the person who pressed the charges, I would like to drop the charges. I made a huge mistake.” Hough claims the response was “Take it to the D.A.,” adding, “nobody wanted to hear s###.”

When asked if she was told she would go to jail for recanting her story, Jennifer Hough said that was not the case before claiming she wrote a letter instead. “I wrote the letter. I gave it to the D.A. and then I showed up at court.”  Check out the clip below.

Nicki Minaj addressed the alleged letter during an episode of her Queen Radio show in November 2019. “When the alleged accuser wrote a letter to the judge asking to recant the statements, she was told that she would go to jail for 90 days, allegedly, if she recants the statement,” the rapper said.

In the letter, Jennifer Hough alleges she stated, “I was pressured to press charges against him and that I wanted to drop the charges.” She added, “I didn’t want him to go to jail. I was young, I was 16.”

Jennifer Hough’s Attorney Says Clip is “Old” & “Heavily Editied”

However, Hough’s attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn said the resurfaced clip is doctored and claimed further evidence against Petty will emerge in the ongoing civil trial.

“The video clips online are old heavily edited clips between Jennifer and Black,” the attorney told Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee via text message. “Nicki’s team should post the entire conversation and not just snippets. We are not worried!
