Rapper Kanye West has been spotted at an 80-acre farm called Grace Farms in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Many believe he might consider the location for an upcoming Sunday Service experience, while others suggest that the “Jesus Walks” chart-topper might be scouting the place for ideas for the Donda Academy he is building in honor of his mother.
Possibly, both are true, as the location is purposed to support initiatives based on faith, the arts, justice, community, and even nature, calling itself “a humanitarian and cultural center.”
According to the Grace Farm’s website, the center states that they “are committed to [addressing] humanitarian issues together, including modern slavery, environmental sustainability, food insecurity, and disconnected communities.”
Yeezy’s visit was reported by Page Six which connected the outing with plans for the Donda Academy.
Named after the artist’s late mother, who was also an academician and professor at Chicago State University, the Academy will be a tuition-free prep school in Simi Valley, CA.
The website shares that the mission will find “the intersection between faith and the innovation of the future, Donda Academy is focused on equipping students with an education that will last in the ever-changing world.”
Wondering how Ye found out about Grace Farms?
One of his favorite architectural firms, the Tokyo-based company named Sanaa, designed the farm’s River Building.
He also hired Oana Stanescu who used to work at Sanaa to design his Paris and LA homes and his 2013 tour.
Taking part in a panel discussion organized by bosses at Hologic, the company behind the 3D Mammogram exam, earlier this week, Mary urged women of color to set aside medical mistrust and negative experiences with doctors and make sure they stay on top of cancer check-ups.
“My aunt died from breast cancer, and my grandmother died from cervical cancer, and one of my aunts just died from lung cancer,” Mary J. Blige said. “What happens is they end up in the hospital, and there’s no one in our families speaking about it when we’re younger.
“I didn’t know about breast cancer or mammograms until I was 40, and I was in the music business, and I was trying to take care of myself. My body started talking, so I started listening. I found out about it at the GYN (gynecologist). They don’t discuss this when we’re children. They don’t say, ‘Go get a mammogram.’ You learn about this as you get older.
“They don’t speak about it, and that’s why they end up in the hospital with two weeks to live, and now you know about it. That’s why it’s extremely important to me. I’m here to let women know, no matter how scary it is or who’s telling you it’s scary, take care of you. Take care of your health… I want to help women heal from breast cancer. I want to help us feel beautiful all the way around.”
Despite the strides that he has made as a movie star, a businessman, and even working with the former president on his proposed, “A Contract with Black America,” some stances he made early on in his career as a rapper has made some leaders in Fayetteville, Arkansas upset that he received a key to the city.
But get this … it wasn’t the “F##k the Police” NWA stuff that ticked them off.
Ice Cube performed in Fayetteville last weekend at JJ’s Live and received the key from the Mayor.
Representatives of religious communities in Northwest Arkansas believed that various anti-Semitic statements made him a poor candidate for the honor.
According to Fox 24, the clergy submitted a letter to Mayor Lioneld Jordan and the city council that blasted them.
The letter said, “We are concerned such actions by the city will bolster anti-Semitism in the region and state. At the very least, the gift of such a key to Ice Cube represents tacit approval of his views, which are not only anti-Semitic but also misogynist. A quick search of his statements on women and Jews will very quickly discover multiple statements too harsh to reproduce in a letter to the editor for the paper. He’s that extreme.”
As recently as 2020, Ice Cube was called out for being anti-Semitic. Check out these screenshots from his Twitter.
In his song, “No Vaseline” he famously rapped, “Get rid of that Devil real simple / Put a bullet in his temple / ’Cause you can’t be the N*gga 4 Life crew / With a white Jew telling you what to do / Pulling woolds with your scams / Now I gotta play Silence of the Lambs.”
In his song, “True to the Game,” he continued with more lyrics that were offensive to the community, “N*gga go home’ spray-painted on your house / Trying to be white or a Jew / But ask yourself, who are they to be equal to? / Get the hell out / Stop being a Uncle Tom, you little sell-out.”
The Daily Beast shared a statement of Ice Cube defending himself against the various anti-Semitism allegations. He once said, “I’m not against Jews in either of those songs. I’m just doing what they do in the media. When they describe someone they often say he’s black or Korean or Muslim. That’s all I’m doing. Saying he’s a Jew doesn’t mean I don’t like Jews or I’m using a negative. I don’t like (Heller), but it’s not because he’s Jewish.”
One of those who signed the letter was co-president of Temple Shalom in Fayetteville.
Toby Klein said, “I don’t think that we can detangle one aspect of discrimination from another. The reality is everyone is a complicated individual with nuance to their stories, but this individual has made his intentions very clear.”
Still, the city is standing by its decision according to City Council Member D’andre Jones, who actually presented the key to the “Rollin’ wit the Lench Mob” rapper.
He shared that giving the key doesn’t mean that the city agrees with Ice Cube on his personal politics but acknowledges his impact on people of color throughout his career.
TiaCorine’s “Lotto” became an instant viral phenomenon… so it’s only right she got the biggest artist in the game on the rap game remix: DaBaby.
The music video itself is as vibrant and colorful as her personality and persona, as both artists are seen at the casino table playing poker with strippers in the backdrop.
Hailing from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the rising star paves her own lane in the music industry, creating her own coined genre titled anime trap — which she describes as “bubbly but hardcore at the same time.” Pink, passionate, just like a cartoon. The turning point happened in fourth grade when she sang “Happy” by Ashanti at a talent show, revealing her undeniable talents to her schoolmates and peers.
Tia is currently with South Coast Music Group, the management company who works with the likes of DaBaby and Toosii. On the heels of unleashing the deluxe to her project 34Corine, inspired directly by her loyalty to her hometown, Tia releases her newest music video for “Bo Time.”
AllHipHop caught up with TiaCorine in downtown Los Angeles, where Kenny Beats brought her out as a special guest to shut down the stage. Read below as we discuss the grind, how she landed at South Coast Music Group, “Lotto” remix with DaBaby, her favorite artists, performing Rolling Loud Miami, new release “Pancakes” on the horizon, and more!
AllHipHop: I saw you post you used to record on the couch in your apartment, what was Tia like that?
TiaCorine: Tia is the same Tia, I was probably grinding a little bit more. I was in school, I’m working, being a mom. Now, it’s still even more work. I used to think “oh things would get easier,” but it gets harder. It’s more work, but I’m reaping the benefits. It’s still the same Tia, hustle mode.
AllHipHop: How did you end up at South Coast Music Group?
TiaCorine: Flip and Arnold both co-manage me. I ran into Flip at a show because I was there at the same time as Toosii. He said “yo, I want a feature with her.” His manager asked me what my name was, he said “wait a second, I was just looking at your page. You got this song, it’s going up. It’s crazy, you got management?” At the same time Arnold’s in my DMs like “ayo, I’m watching you.” I’m like “who’s this?” Seen he’s DaBaby’s manager. I told Arnold and Flip about each other, they said “oh we work together anyway. Let’s get together and work with you.” I said alright, and that’s how it happened.
AllHipHop: Did you have management prior to that?
TiaCorine: Nah, I was doing this all myself. A lot of it was luck: being there at the right time, being social, being nice. People seeing me grinding for myself wanted to help me. When the opportunity was represented, I went 100%. I give 100%. It’s timing, what’s meant to be will.
AllHipHop: “Lotto” remix with DaBaby out now, how are you feeling?
TiaCorine: It was crazy. It’s unfortunate with all the stuff going on now, I’m hot. But when it first happened, I’m like yes! It’s crazy, how did this happen? I still look at it as an accomplishment. It’s still a good feeling.
AllHipHop: Where was the video shot? Best memory from shooting?
TiaCorine: It was shot here in LA. The muscle suit at the end was the funnest part because I went so crazy. Hercules Tia, I was really beating people up. I had to lift someone and they said “lift me hard, it’s okay. Push me in the face.” Um, I don’t want to hurt you.
AllHipHop: You like comics and anime, were you channeling a certain character?
TiaCorine: Oh yeah! Especially at the end, I’m like aghhh! [laughs]
AllHipHop: Do you write or freestyle?
TiaCorine: I do a mixture of both, I write and I freestyle.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?
TiaCorine: Water, chapstick and some alcohol.
AllHipHop: Top artists in rotation currently?
TiaCorine: Pierre Bourne, SZA, it’s somebody else everyday. I’ve been listening to Willow, her new s###’s fire. She’s really eccentric and free, I love that.
AllHipHop: I saw you wanted to get Young Nudy on a track, did that happen?
TiaCorine: Yeah, of course you gotta pay him. He gave me a good price, just thinking about who he is. I’m gathering my coins together, but it could happen.
AllHipHop: Anyone else you want to work with?
TiaCorine: Of course I want to work with Pierre Bourne. Of course I want to work with Trippie Redd. I definitely want to work with SZA, and I want to work with Rico Nasty. I want to see what we can make together.
AllHipHop: What can we expect next from you?
TiaCorine: I got a video coming out. “Pancakes” is done so dropping that soon, it’s off the deluxe. 34Corine was the EP and The Saga was the deluxe, “Pancakes” is with Bankroll and Diego. I’m working on another project and I’m working on my first album. I have a show on September 20th in New York at SOB’s. I just got added onto Broccoli City Fest October 2nd. I got Rolling Loud, Day N Vegas, then Rolling Loud again. I have a brand deal with Bojanlges and that commercial is coming soon as well.
AllHipHop: How was it performing at Rolling Loud Miami?
TiaCorine: Yeah, it was people running across the field trying to catch the performance because I was the first one to perform on that stage. It had just opened. My friend had a VIP pass, but it miles long. People were missing it, it took forever to get in. It took me forever to get in! But the people that were there, they knew word for word. They were screaming “don’t give a f###!” That felt good. Oh my gosh, y’all really f### with me.
Rap star Cardi B is denying she lied to a judge under oath so she could roll to Fashion Week in Paris instead of preparing for a court battle with a guy who claims she stole his tattoo and ruined his life.
Brophy accused the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker of flat-out lying to the judge just so she could jet off to Paris instead of going to trial.
In a new letter obtained by AllHipHop, Cardi wrote to the judge again – and insisted she had no clue she was going to Paris when she submitted her sworn declaration asking to push back the original trial date of October 26.
“This was the only trip I have taken since the birth of our son on September 4, 2021. I was of course, very concerned with, and made thorough arrangements for, the well-being and care of our children in our absence,” Cardi B explained. “During our absence, our three-year-old daughter and our newborn son stayed with my mother and a baby nurse for our son, in New York. Both children were and remain in perfect health.
“In terms of traveling, my greatest concern was the welfare and health of my newborn son, and I absolutely agreed with my doctor’s strong advice that my son not be subjected travel at such a young age, in this time frame,” Cardi B continued. “That is why, when my husband and I made the brief trip to Paris, we were only able to do so because I could leave my son and daughter, for those few days, in New York the care of my mother and a baby nurse, and in close proximity to the pediatricians if the need arose. I could not do that for an extended trip to California during October.”
Brophy insists Cardi stole his distinctive back tattoo of a tiger and a snake and super-imposed it on another model, who is giving Cardi oral sex on the risque cover for her mixtape “Gangsta B#### Music Vol. 1.”
However, Cardi wrote to the judge asking for the date to be pushed back, since she gave birth to her son on September 4.
The rapper said she was worried about catching COVID if she traveled from New York to California so soon after giving birth. Cardi also needed the extra time since she is gearing up for a court battle with Tasha K. in November.
The judge granted Cardi B’s request and postponed the trial until February 1, 2021, much to the dismay of Kevin Michael Brophy and his lawyers.
They wanted the trial to take place before the end of 2021.
Cardi told the judge she had no plans to travel, perform or attend any public events through the end of November – until the opportunity to attend Fashion Week popped up.
Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzarr, told the judge she decided to attend Fashion Week on September 24 – after receiving an invitation from French designer Thierry Mugler.
The rapper and her husband Offset went to Paris from September 26 until October 4, and they both tested negative for COVID upon their return to the United States.
According to Cardi, the chance to attend Paris Fashion Week was good for her career, and she could not pass up the opportunity.
“I have had the good fortune to become identified almost as much for fashion as for my music, and the opportunity to be part of the ‘inner circle’ of the elite of the fashion world, representing some of the most famous designers’ work,” Cardi B gushed. “[It] was a rare opportunity, and important for my career, especially given my absence from live performance over most of the last two years due to the pandemic and the fact that I have been working on a new, upcoming album.
“I fully understand that our going to Paris for such a major event could lead someone to assume it all ‘must have been’ a long time in the planning, and well-known far in advance, but it was not that at all,” Cardi B added. “My Declaration of September 10, 2021, was entirely truthful, I concealed nothing, and the opportunity to go to Paris did not even first come to my attention until a couple of weeks later.”
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have finally set a release date for their Silk Sonic album.
The duo’s highly anticipated project An Evening with Silk Sonic is scheduled to drop on November 12. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announced the release date in celebration of the former’s birthday.
“ALBUM DROPS NOVEMBER 12!!” Paak wrote on Twitter. “Now spam the comments with happy birthday wishes to my brother @BrunoMars Party popper.”
Bruno Mars tweeted a similar message with the same photo of the duo alongside funk legend Bootsy Collins. The hitmaker also provided a link to pre-order the upcoming Silk Sonic album.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak revealed their formation of Silk Sonic in February. The two dropped their debut single “Leave The Door Open” in March. The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April.

AllHipHop.com is proudly shedding light on World Mental Health Day by hosting a virtual chat on Twitter Space called, “Let’s Talk About It” on Sunday, October 10. It will be hosted by Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, the CEO of AllHipHop.com, and singer Nikki Lynette, the host of the About A Girl show on iHeartRadio and self-proclaimed Mental Health Thug.
On the panel, alongside the two moderators, will be rapper Mickey Factz; Influencer Mik Veal; Mental Health Advocate and Psychotherapist, Rwen Shaun and singer/ rapper Obasi Jackson.
Lynette, who is also an award-winning singer/songwriter, believes that this topic is too important to sweep under the rug.
She shared, “Everybody has mental health. It’s just as important as physical health… but for some reason, we aren’t supposed to talk about it. If you’re depressed, you’re weak. If you’re angry, you’re violent. If you’re anxious, you’re crazy.”
“The judgment keeps people from admitting when they aren’t ok,” she continues. “There are literally more people in the world dealing with mental health issues right now than the number of people living with asthma and diabetes COMBINED. So why does one of the most common human conditions have the most stigma? The old school method of sweeping issues under the rug doesn’t work.”
“We gotta change things. And we can start by simply talking about it.”
AllHipHop.com agrees. Creekmur stated, ” Hip-Hop has always dealt with the difficult topic of mental health on so many levels. The thing is, we had to hide it in the midst of self medication, hardcore lyrics and even overly self destructive behavior. Sadly we are still dealing with with this, from the young to the old. Thankfully, we are working to remove the stigma and getting back to healing people in our communities without judgment.”
Join us on Sunday, October 10th at 7:00 PM EDT/ 6:00 PM CDT/ 4:00 PM PDT/ 11:00 PM GMT on AllHipHop.com’s Twitter Space.

“I’ll be hosting the reunion,” she wrote at the time. “lmk what y’all want me to ask chile.”

The rap superstar has also faced scrutiny for allegedly harassing her husband Kenneth Petty’s rape accuser. Last month, Jennifer Hough spoke out after suing the couple for allegedly attempting to intimidate her into recanting her allegations against Petty.
Billy Porter’s bold fashion choices have earned him an admirer in Kid Cudi.
In an interview with Page Six, Billy Porter discussed wearing a gown to the 2019 Oscars. According to him, Kid Cudi is a big fan of Porter’s style on the red carpet.
“We have been dm’ing each other on Instagram and I just think it’s amazing,” Porter told Page Six. “He said, ‘You’re such an inspiration thank you,’ and he is a rapper so the s### is changing.”
During their social media conversations, Kid Cudi showed his appreciation by sending a photo of himself in a skirt. These types of interactions are why Billy Porter feels like a trendsetter.
“The conversation is much deeper than … Billy showing up in a dress,” Porter explained. “The whole world has changed since I showed up on a red carpet in a tuxedo dress. Now all these boys want to be wearing dresses. That happened because of me and that’s not ego, that’s facts.”
Kid Cudi’s respect for Billy Porter should come as no surprise considering how open-minded he’s been. The Ohio native has also publicly supported Lil Nas X, championing the “Old Town Road” creator as someone who can tear down homophobia in Hip Hop.
“There’s a homophobic cloud over Hip Hop, and [Lil Nas X is] going to break that s### down,” Cudi wrote for TIME magazine. “We have to stand with him. I’m going to do whatever I have to do to let him know—you have my support. When we do our song together, however trippy the video is, let’s get sexy with it.”
Kid Cudi is currently gearing up for the 2022 release of his Netflix show Entergalactic, which is based on his upcoming album of the same name. Check out a teaser for the series below.

In the age of digital promotion and marketing one very important factor that all major music labels are now coming to understand is that…”Visual Street promotion and marketing techniques are part of the promotional future.”
In the late ’90s throughout 2010 Rap music, street promotion companies made a huge impact when it came to making the public aware of a new release. Now there are “Pop-Up Shops” and autograph signing sessions, personal appearances, and on many occasions “Pop-Up performances” by new artists. Even placing advertisements on car windshields has exploded nationwide.
One of the top executives in this field of promotion is Mr. KB “The Playmaker” Barrell.
Mr. KB “The Playmaker” Barrell’s company “Customs By Theplaymaker” is based in the city of Milwaukee and he services several major cities in the Midwest region including Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Detroit, St. Louis, Topeka, Cincinnati, and many other smaller markets surrounding those central areas. It seems as if these old-school promotional/marketing efforts instituted by companies such as “Def Jam” and “Loud Records” 20 plus years ago have now taken center stage again within the Rap music culture. KB “The PlayMaker” Barrell has never stopped catering to the streets and is at the top of his game in 2021-2022 with his non-stop street promotional efforts.
The company is currently promoting the following hit artists not only from a street promotional aspect, but they also combine the digital aspects to further the “up-close and personal marketing touch they specialize in:
“T-Rell”, “54 Baby Trey”, “The SpeedKnot Mobstaz”, “Looney Babie”, “Glasses Malone”, “Gwapo Chapo”, “Kokane”, “Prince Party”, “Esc Deez”, “H1 Da Hook”, “DJ Battlecat”, Lil Saucy “Compton Yellaboii Tha Duke”, “Shantii” “The MT Twins” “Big Unc” “Dolpha Rasza” “Glocc Sinatra”, “Comedian Bankhead” and the late “King Von”

Developments in digital technologies have revolutionized the music industry. Nowadays, musicians can record and distribute their music without signing a deal with a record label. This gives musicians control over their productions and revenue. David Rothman, a rapper from New York, is one of the hottest independent artists in the scene.
His latest single, “The Rap Knight,” is an uplifting hip-hop track in which Rothman shares his optimism and excitement for 2020. This seems like an ironic gesture considering the social and economic problems caused by the Covid-19 virus. Nevertheless, the thoughtful uplifting lyrics on family, relationships, and dreams are exactly the kind of gesture people need during these difficult times.
Rothman’s hometown, New York, has produced some of the greatest artists, music producers, and songwriters. He always pays homage to his hometown because it has produced many of the greatest musicians. Rothman credits much of his success to the influence of his predecessors. His latest single has a catchy beat, a fast tempo, and rich tones that will rock your head back and forth.
He is a member of the Recording Academy, an organization that conducts reviews of the music industry and is in charge of Grammys. Rothman looks forward to releasing more singles in the future. He loves music, and it has always been a big part of his life growing up. Rothman became a part of the music industry by attending shows and socializing with people already in the industry.
Rothman was one of the members of Roc Nation, but he stayed behind the scenes as he waited for the right time to shine. His efforts have paid off as his new single is climbing the charts. Perhaps one of the reasons the song is so popular is that Rothman took his time in its preparation.
Rothman is a rap artist who knows exactly what he is doing. This is evident in the quality of his latest songs. He has some cool jams with crisp, clean beats. The rapper is headed for a great future. The internet has made it possible for artists with great talent like Rothman to reach millions of fans across the world.
We know fans expect more from Rothman because of what they have already tasted. His catchy tunes are guaranteed to earn him more fans in the future if he keeps on doing what he is doing.
Rothman can be played in clubs, parties, or just at home in the evening chilling. Most people commonly associate hip-hop with negative elements in society. However, Rothman’s songs are examples of hip-hop being able to bring hope and inspiration. Rothman is a successful executive, philanthropist, and experienced musician.

The music industry has been thriving on trends for ages. Unlike any other career field, there is no predetermined path to reach a goal. Musicians or music artists often lack the blueprint to reach their goals. Those who managed to carve a niche for themselves in the industry have moved mountains to reach the position they are in. Besides pure luck, it requires a unique talent to be distinguished in this extremely saturated industry. Rising R&B artistMaor Mo is one artist who is revolutionizing music while still staying true to traditional genres.
Maor Mo, originally named Maor Mo Avigdor, was born and brought up in a family of musicians. His parents have a music band where his mother is the lead singer. It was during the band’s tour to Israel that Maor’s pregnant mother was rushed to the hospital from the stage and Maor was born. From the age of 2, Maor discovered his passion for music. It was all-natural for him because, unlike other kids of his age who are fascinated by toys and cartoons, Maor finds happiness in listening to cassette tapes and MTV music videos.
His family moved to America whenMaor was only 8. The language and the cultural difference made it increasingly difficult for young Maor to socialize. Instead, he found solace in music. He used to write songs instead of notes in school and used to spend hours recording music on his computer. At the age of 18, Maor decided to pursue his passion as a career because he knew if he could ever achieve success it had to be in music.
His initial days in Miami were difficult. He was homeless and had to share couches with anyone he met and even worked several odd jobs just to support his passion. While his family was clueless about what drove him to struggle this way, Maor was confident about his talent and relentlessly pursued his dream of entering the music industry.
It was during this time when Rico Love took Maor under his wing and guided him in songwriting. Later, Maor’s natural skills were honed by several other prominent names in the industry. He finally discovered his calling in R&B and his unique style of composition that instantly separated him from the competition.
Maor fearlessly experimented with various genres but always remained true to R & B. He mixes international music with traditional tunes to create an unconventional composition that is soul-soothing yet still cutting-edge. Unlike the typical R&B lyrics, Maor is taking an unapologetically realistic approach towards the genre. He likes to talk about real-world issues like socio-economic problems, religion, political scenarios, and social injustice. This sets him apart from his contemporaries in R&B.
His single “Usher Told You” was featured in Pleasure P’s EP titled “Pleasure P Presents”. Maor was also a part of Pleasure P’s single “Insecure”. His other collaborative music video “Robot.” with Pleasure P has created quite a buzz across all digital music platforms.
Currently, Maor Mo is completely focused on his upcoming project “Same God”, which is scheduled to appear this October on all digital music platforms. He is optimistic about this song and feels it will set new standards for him.
The music industry is brutally competitive. As a result, new talents are constantly making their way into the ever-growing industry, making it hard for new and existing artists to solidify their spot. However, Colombian-American artist, Lil Crush, has established his spot, and he has made his music a household favorite. Despite being new to the industry, many have termed his music the next big thing.
In a recent interview on One37pm, Mike Boyd praised the young rapper’s exceptional talent terming his music as the future. “I do think Crush is going to blow up soon, so jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late,” said Mike Boyd. This was after the release of his famous track “Suni Lee.” Continuing to outdo the audience’s expectations, the young rapper just released another track, “Lava Girl.”
Speaking about his newest single, “Lava Girl,” Lil Crush notes creating and composing this song was a challenge, and he enjoyed it every step of the way. Lil Crush was connected with FREEBANDZ producer Richie Souf, who sent him a couple of beats, and Crush quickly found one that was a perfect fit for his sound. He picked a beat with 150 BPM, in B flat Major and paired it with his signature Antares Autotune Pro. There was no better match.
“Lava Girl” collaborates between Lil Crush, FREEBANDZ producer Richie Souf and top producer Roark Bailey. The two producers are widely known and have worked with notable musicians, including Future, Kanye West, Post Malone, Young Thug, and French Montana.
According to the 20-year-old Colombian American artist, music is a form of expression, a method unique to you, and is relatable to your fan base. While his music could be defined as rap, Lil Crush doesn’t confine his artistry to only one genre. “Each song has a different story,” says Lil Crush, “and as an artist, my duty is to create music that will tell the story best.” Creating and composing “Lava Girl,” Lil Crush wanted to create a song that is not only easy to vibe along to but is also relatable and inspiring.
His strong lyrical flow, great sound, and impeccable vibes are some of the things that make his music stand out from the crowd. Going by the previous singles, “Lava Girl” is set to be bigger and better and has already surpassed 15,000 streams in less than a week. The long-awaited song was released on September 30th and is available on all streaming platforms.
In addition to “Lava Girl,” Lil Crush is also working on the music video for the song “Suni Lee,” which, as stated by him, will be released soon.
Mike Boyd was quoted as saying, “You keep proving you are dope, man. That’s why we like you so much because we gave you a chance, and you over-delivered. We appreciate you. Gary V appreciates you.” After Mike Boyd connected Lil Crush to producer Richie Souf who later with producer Roark Bailey sent Crush beats, Lil Crush didn’t disappoint. If anything, he surpassed expectations; his song “Lava Girl” will, without a doubt, become a chart-topping single.
The Houston native criticized a controversial Texas law banning abortions before many women even know they’re pregnant. Megan Thee Stallion used her platform to publicly oppose the law, which has been temporarily blocked by a federal judge in Austin.
“Y’all know I’m a Texas girl and we deserve better!” Megan Thee Stallion wrote via Instagram. “Politicians want to cut off abortion access and control our bodies, lives, and futures — I’m speaking up. Take action today and text ACCESS to 22422. #BansOffOurBodies.”
Megan Thee Stallion joins a large list of people who’ve condemned the ban, which Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed into law in May. The law prohibits abortions once any cardiac activity is detected, which is typically around six weeks into pregnancy.
The Texas law is especially troubling since it has no exemptions for victims of rape or incest. It also puts the power of enforcement in the hands of private citizens, relying on them to sue doctors or anyone who helps a woman get an abortion.
U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman temporarily suspended the Texas law on Wednesday. He called it an “offensive deprivation” of an important right.
It’s unclear how long the ban will be blocked. Texas officials intend to get the judge’s order overturned in the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
By 2021, brands worldwide unanimously agree on the power of social media as a marketing tool in the digital world. With the onset of the pandemic, many businesses were on the verge of closing down, and some even succumbed to the economic crisis. Those that managed to stay afloat were smart enough to embrace digitalization to stay in tune with the new normal. Artists were no exception here.
With concerts and live shows being canceled for the unknown future, many musicians and artists took to social media to showcase their talent. Tatted Swerve is one such music talent who has been storming digital media with his unique rapping style.
Tatted Swerve is from New York, the cradle of hip-hop. This obviously had an impact on the artist while growing up. He had always set his benchmark higher because he knows that a music artist hailing from NYC has big shoes to fill. However, he chose rap as his area of dominance because he is absolutely in love with this genre. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t incorporate hip-hop, though. Tatted Swerve blends rap into contemporary music that often follows hip-hop undertones.
He stepped into the music industry as a live performer at shows and concerts. He has an electrifying stage presence that instantly gains cheers from the audience. He believes that live shows help music artists connect with the audience on a deeper level. The feeling of performing in front of a live audience and seeing them enthralled by the music always gave him a sense of accomplishment.
When Swerve felt that his career in the music industry had just taken off, the onset of the pandemic turned it upside down. With all his live shows postponed for an undecided period, Swerve was left with no option but to sulk at home, reminiscing his earlier performances. It was then he took to social media to make independent music and release it to a global audience. His unique sense of music and unconventional rapping style was well-received by his online audience, making him a music sensation on social media.
Today, Tatted Swerve has a whopping number of fan followers across all social media platforms. His collab performance with the famous singer/rapper Coi Leray has been his biggest success so far. The song took the internet by storm and became a viral trend on social media for a while. This was the kind of response that Tatted Swerve had long been expecting. The song became his biggest motivation to carve a niche for himself in the music industry.
All the success Tatted Swerve as a rapper and performer has achieved did not come easy. Being brought up in a neighborhood infested with crime and narrow-minded people, Swerve had to work hard to find his way into the music industry. He believes that an artist, or to be precise a musician, can never let themself go even after achieving success because it is a continuous process. With every successful release, Swerve has set a new standard for himself that he must meet in his next project to keep the audience engaged and enjoy the limelight.
Going forward, Swerve wants to return to live show arenas. Even if it is conducted live on a digital platform, Swerve would love to be a part of it, knowing that his performance will be watched by millions of people live from the comfort of their homes.
