Tatted Swerve Is the Best New NYC Recording Artist on the Scene

By 2021, brands worldwide unanimously agree on the power of social media as a marketing tool in the digital world. With the onset of the pandemic, many businesses were on the verge of closing down, and some even succumbed to the economic crisis. Those that managed to stay afloat were smart enough to embrace digitalization to stay in tune with the new normal. Artists were no exception here.

With concerts and live shows being canceled for the unknown future, many musicians and artists took to social media to showcase their talent. Tatted Swerve is one such music talent who has been storming digital media with his unique rapping style.

Tatted Swerve is from New York, the cradle of hip-hop. This obviously had an impact on the artist while growing up. He had always set his benchmark higher because he knows that a music artist hailing from NYC has big shoes to fill. However, he chose rap as his area of dominance because he is absolutely in love with this genre. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t incorporate hip-hop, though. Tatted Swerve blends rap into contemporary music that often follows hip-hop undertones.

He stepped into the music industry as a live performer at shows and concerts. He has an electrifying stage presence that instantly gains cheers from the audience. He believes that live shows help music artists connect with the audience on a deeper level. The feeling of performing in front of a live audience and seeing them enthralled by the music always gave him a sense of accomplishment.

When Swerve felt that his career in the music industry had just taken off, the onset of the pandemic turned it upside down. With all his live shows postponed for an undecided period, Swerve was left with no option but to sulk at home, reminiscing his earlier performances. It was then he took to social media to make independent music and release it to a global audience. His unique sense of music and unconventional rapping style was well-received by his online audience, making him a music sensation on social media.

Today, Tatted Swerve has a whopping number of fan followers across all social media platforms. His collab performance with the famous singer/rapper Coi Leray has been his biggest success so far. The song took the internet by storm and became a viral trend on social media for a while. This was the kind of response that Tatted Swerve had long been expecting. The song became his biggest motivation to carve a niche for himself in the music industry.

All the success Tatted Swerve as a rapper and performer has achieved did not come easy. Being brought up in a neighborhood infested with crime and narrow-minded people, Swerve had to work hard to find his way into the music industry. He believes that an artist, or to be precise a musician, can never let themself go even after achieving success because it is a continuous process. With every successful release, Swerve has set a new standard for himself that he must meet in his next project to keep the audience engaged and enjoy the limelight.

Going forward, Swerve wants to return to live show arenas. Even if it is conducted live on a digital platform, Swerve would love to be a part of it, knowing that his performance will be watched by millions of people live from the comfort of their homes.

How Swwish is Taking the Music Industry by Storm

Music is a big part of human life; whether at the gym, watching a movie, or simply taking a walk, we often find ourselves listening to music. As the music industry grows, more talents are making their way into the industry promising a variety of great music.  One such talent is New York rapper Swwish, who is taking the rap industry by storm despite being relatively new to the industry. Making it his mission to create timeless music and spark emotions, the rapper has become a household name.

Born and raised in New York, Swwish is a celebrated singer and songwriter. He is famously known for hits, such as “Bands Up,” “Moon walk,” and “Seppuku.” The rapper is also working on his latest EP, “Dark Void,” set to be released in November.

Although Swwish loved music from a young age, it wasn’t until he was 19 years of age that he decided to take his lifelong passion to the next level. He started getting into industry-quality studios instead of home studios and this allowed him to perfect his skills.

Describing his music as genuine, Swwish uses his music to tell his story with the hope of inspiring his audience. For instance, his song “Seppuku” tells a story of a young adult struggling with drugs and depression and is on the verge of giving up. At some point in his life, Swwish also struggled with depression; by writing and composing the song, he wanted to show the audience that you can rise above your struggles. Life is full of highs and lows, notes Swwish. Just like there will be good times, you will also face challenging times. The important thing is to remain strong and never give up.

Among the things that make his music stand out are his unique sound, strong lyrical flow, and diversity of the beats. To the rapper, music is a lifestyle. He wants to reflect his artistry in every aspect of his life, and his fashion style represents who he is as an artist.

In a world where most people try to fit in, Swwish advises that you stay true to yourself. You being you is enough for you to stand out, says rapper Swwish. Your music or anything that you do doesn’t have to make sense to everyone else, adds the rapper. To upcoming artists, Swwish adds you shouldn’t give up on your dream; challenges are inevitable, work hard, remain focused, and know that there is always room for improvement.

Asked about the future, Swwish has more projects planned. He wants to create more music and travel around the world performing to his ever-growing fan base. “My goal is to build a community of die-hard fans who love me for who I am and love my music,” says Swwish.

Although Swwish has not been in the industry long, his music can easily be mistaken for that of a veteran. As he continues to thrive in this brutally competitive industry, his music is also changing lives. Rapper Swwish has not only established his place in the music world, but he has cemented it.

Meet Sven Andrew: The Face of an Independent Artist in 2021

The music industry has been evolving rapidly over the past few years. Every day we see a new trend, composition, and voice that is going viral. Sadly, not all these trends survive the test of time. It takes something unique and exclusive to make a place for yourself in this ever-changing industry that thrives on trends. Sven Andrew, a young music artist, and composer have managed to become distinguished in this extremely saturated space for his distinct talent. Sven belongs to the new-age artists who dare to defy traditions and create something new.

Sven has been passionate about music from a very young age. He loved listening to music from all genres, which is reflected in his electrifying cross-genre tunes. Sven is a master of genres who carefully yet deftly leaps from one to another in his compositions. He is known for blending electronic rock with indie-pop in most of his songs. Sven never sticks to standards; instead, he loves to create his own trends in the music industry. His approach towards music is intuitive and non-conformist.

Another unique aspect of Sven’s music is his searing lyrics. He doesn’t limit his talent to creating soul-soothing music only; he wants to become an artist with a purpose. Almost all of Sven’s songs talk about the social injustices that are prevalent in the world today. Every song is a blazing question to humanity about its ignorance towards these injustices spreading negativity around the world. He never shies away from expressing his heart in his songs. For him, every song is an opportunity to send a meaningful message to the world.

Sven creates music about real-world problems. This is reflected in his recent releases launched during the pandemic. The songs were written when the release party of his album was canceled due to the pandemic-related lock-down. The situation also led to the cancellation of several shows that Sven would have been part of. It eventually led the artist to a tough phase in his life where he could not connect with his fans live. The artist in Sven was suffocating but never lost hope. He took it as an inspiration to pen down the lyrics of “Can’t-Wait Till This Is All Over.” and “Hope” He even shot the videos in his home studio, giving his fans a sneak-peek into his daily life during the pandemic.

Besides being a pragmatic music artist, Sven is also independent about his creativity. This multi-talented young artist manages the entire production of all his songs and albums single-handedly. From lyrics to composition and even video editing, marketing, bookings, everything is done by him.

His music video “I’m Not Alright” was nominated at the Berlin Music Video Awards and earned more than 150K views on YouTube. His other songs have also garnered positive attention from audiences, with views soaring to 50K on YouTube or 200 – 500K on Instagram and Facebook. Sven was also part of a promo tour through Indonesia.

Sven Andrew is busy creating more fresh and unique music for his fans on various digital platforms, but his love for live performance is undying. He is waiting impatiently for the situation to be normal again to conduct more life-changing tours, reveling and cheering with real audiences.

The Story Behind RapTV, The Largest Community Of Hip-Hop Fans In The World

Hip-hop has become a big part of pop culture ever since its transition into mainstream music many decades ago. From legendary 90s artists like Tupac Shakur and Dr. Dre to today’s hip-hop heroes like Eminem and Jay-Z, the genre has come a long way. The enormous impact of hip-hop is undeniable as evidenced by the constant increase in the number of hip-hop fans all over the world.

With the hip-hop landscape consistently changing within the entertainment culture, more artists have emerged. This is resulting in dozens of songs and albums being released every month, giving fans fresh reasons to get more excited for rap music. Social media mogul Daniel Snow knew that this would result in challenges to keep updated with the trends in the genre.

To keep every hip-hop music fan involved with the latest news, Daniel founded RapTV, a community for all hip-hop fans all around the globe. He’s a long-time fan of hip-hop and found keeping track of new releases quite challenging. Daniel began the idea of creating RapTV for one major reason, and that is to become an all-in-one source for everything rap and culture.

RapTV started via Instagram in 2017 and has now grown to a community of over 25 million people. Its mission has been to build a strong camaraderie for hip-hop fans, content creators, and rappers. Fast forward to 2021; the community has made transitions to other platforms like Snapchat, Twitter, and TikTok.  On these platforms, fans can engage with breaking news, interviews, and original content.

During its first few years of existence, RapTV relied solely on its Instagram account to build a community of passionate hip-hop fanatics. Since then, they have accomplished much more. Their recent venture into TikTok proved to be a smart decision as they quickly gained millions of followers in the popular video-sharing-focused media platform.

As part of their social media expansion, RapTV unveiled another Instagram page called Steez By RapTV. This account is focused on dishing out the hottest fashion styles and trends in hip-hop culture. For Spanish hip-hop lovers, they launched Reggaeton by RapTV also via Instagram, which gives the latest news on Latin hip-hop music. Both of these pages have over 100,000 followers each and are growing quickly daily.

Aside from its active presence on social media, RapTV has its own website filled with rap and hip-hop-related content. Currently, the company has a total of over 25 million followers across all platforms. They have become not just a source of news and updates but have become a community. Through RapTV, fans of the genre from all parts of the globe can discover new artists and make friends with fellow enthusiasts.

Fans will agree that RapTV is not just a website or a page on Instagram but has taken a life of its own. It’s a community of people that are constantly engaged in conversations on all its platforms. Daniel Snow hopes to materialize new plans for the community very soon, and fans are eager to know what’s next in store for them.

Stove God Cooks Drops Video for “That’s The Game” While on Tour with Conway The Machine

Hailing from Syracuse, rapper Stove God Cooks uses his lyrical genius and distinct delivery patterns to separate himself from the surplus of talent in the game. He’s an artist who naturally stands out – the confidence and attitude he brings on the mic is intimidating and unrivaled by his peers. He put together a masterful performance on his debut project, “Reasonable Drought,” which has earned him a fiercely loyal fan base.

With co-signs from mainstream media outlets like Billboard, Complex, DJ Booth, and many more, it’s no secret that he has the recipe to be hip-hop’s next breakthrough act. After his successful collaboration with French Montana on his first single of this year, “Dope,” the Babygrande artist has returned with his latest track / video, “That’s The Game.”

Directed by GT Films, the video for “That’s The Game” provides viewers with a full cinematic experience. Cooks’ calm, composed demeanor creates an aura to draw the viewer in, but it’s his talent that leaves an impression.

Quick cuts and imaginative shots bring the track to life, while Cooks moves through a mansion littered with money and illicit substances. The video feels like a culmination of Cooks’ come up – having gone through trials and tribulations to get where he is, Cooks knows that his time is now.

The Samba Beatz-produced track shows Cooks’ depth as an artist. He won’t be confined to one style; rather, he’s experimenting sonically and embarks on a new journey with “That’s The Game.” A soulful, yet upbeat piano progression sets the tone of the track, and as Cooks steps in, he immediately finds his pocket, hitting infectious melodies while addressing the downsides to fame.

Lyrically, Cooks is at the forefront of hip-hop – his clever wordplay and delivery have helped him establish a close relationship with a few of hip-hop’s most lyrical talents, like Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine. However, with each of his new releases, he vies for mainstream recognition and shows he can go toe-to-toe with anyone in today’s game. It was these qualities that inspired Chuck Wilson, Babygrande Global CEO and Chairman, to pursue a deal with Cooks.

I got a call from my friend Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian who told me that I had to hear this new artist named Stove God Cooks,” Wilson recounts. “After listening to his ‘Reasonable Drought’ album produced entirely by Roc Marciano, I knew instantly that I was listening to an elite, once-in-a-generation lyricist that could also write and sing hooks as catchy and as soulful as any artist I had ever heard before. Soon thereafter, I offered Cooks the largest record deal in the 20 year history of the company and we closed the deal. I can’t wait for the world to hear all of the great music that he’s recorded for his next album.”

Cooks has steadily grown a nationwide audience, which is how he’s earned the right to tour with Conway The Machine on his “Love Will Get You Killed” tour. Cooks isdirect support for Conway throughout the entire tour, creating excitement for the track and attracting plenty of new fans along the way.

“Black and Samoan in my veins/my culture bangin’ with Strange/ I change the game/ so what’s my m###########’ name (Rock)!” he continued.

“(What they gonna get though?) Desecration/ defamation/ if you wanna bring it to the masses/ Face to face now we escalatin’/ when I have to put boots to a####” he raps before switching his flow again, “Mean on ya’/ like a dream when I’m rumblin’, you’re gonna scream, “Mama”/ So bring drama/ to the king Brahma /(Then what?), comin’ at ya’ with extreme mana (Ahoo, ahoo, ahoo)”

Perhaps the song, as we know The Rock is a businessman, is another form of promotion — his answer to a jingle for his product.

What would you expect? He IS one of the biggest stars that ever walked the planet. So, why not drop a full club-ready banger??!!!

Jimmy Henchman Could Be Released From Prison Thanks To Former President Donald Trump

Imprisoned music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond claims he should be a free man – thanks to President Donald Trump.

Rosemond’s lawyers are testing the constitutionality and the process of the President’s pardoning powers in an unprecedented new legal argument.

Henchman, born James Rosemond, is serving nine life sentences after he was convicted of numerous drug offenses and ordering the murder of one of 50 Cent’s friends, Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher.

Rosemond maintains that he was the scapegoat of overzealous prosecutors since he was never caught with the drugs.

He also denied arranging the murder of Fletcher, who was convicted of slapping Rosemond’s then 14-year-old son as G-Unit unit members – including Tony Yayo – watched and encouraged the assault.

Rosemond claimed he only hired his associates to “bring” Fletcher to him and never ordered the killing.

In January of 2015, Rosemond sought clemency from the Obama administration, and he continued his efforts when President Trump was elected.

Various celebrities and athletes supported Rosemond’s attempts, including Akon, Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean, Mike Tyson, and late actor Michael K. Williams.

In addition to the above, legendary Hall of Fame football player Jim Brown lobbied the Trump administration on behalf of Rosemond.

Jim Brown maintains that he was invited to the White House in October 2018 with his wife, Monique Brown. There, they discussed Rosemond’s case and urged the President to grant him clemency.

Over the next several years, the Browns went to the White House to address Rosemond’s clemency on three separate occasions.

According to affidavits signed by Jim Brown and his wife Monique, on December 18th, 2020, President Trump called the Browns and proclaimed he had decided to commute Rosemond’s sentence to time served.

On the call, President Trump told the Browns and other people in the room with him that he had looked at everything and wanted to “get this guy home for Christmas.”

However, unlike rappers like Kodak Black and Lil Wayne, whom President Trump pardoned, James Rosemond was never freed.

According to his lawyers, President Trump never sent a record of the communication to the Warden of USP Hazleton, where Rosemond is serving his life nine sentences.

President Trump left the White House in January of 2021, and Rosemond’s attempts to make the Biden Administration act on his commutation have been unsuccessful.

Rosemond’s lawyers say Trump completed an irrevocable act of clemency by publicly communicating the clemency decision.

They also argue that the form of an act of clemency does not matter so long as the President communicates it publicly.

Experts say the President can issue an act of clemency in any form he wants – including writing, a phone call, a television broadcast, a social media post, or “by sticking his head out the window and yelling it out on the street.”

His lawyers claim Trump’s decision is irrevocable and that Rosemond, who managed artists like Game, Brandy, Gucci Mane, and others, is unjustly imprisoned.

According to experts who spoke to the Washington Post, Henchman may have a real chance of being released from prison.

“They’ve got a good point, which is that the constitution does not set out a method to the granting of clemency,” said Mark Osler, a professor of law at the University of St. Thomas and Minnesota.

A judge has yet to rule on the case.

Fellow Comedian Michael Blackson Accuses Dave Chappelle Of Snitching On DaBaby

Michael Blackson thinks Dave Chappelle did DaBaby no favors by bringing up the rapper’s involvement in a fatal shooting.

In a series of tweets, Michael Blackson reacted to his fellow comedian’s remarks about the Interscope Records artist in the new Netflix special The Closer. In Blackson’s eyes, Dave Chappelle did more harm than good for DaBaby.

“Dave Chapelle did not help Da Baby at all smh lol,” Blackson wrote on Twitter. “Dave Chapelle low key snitched on DaBaby.”

Michael Blackson also suggested the LBGTQ community was unaware of DaBaby’s past.

“The LGBT did not know he killed anyone, now they hate him even more lol,” he wrote. “LGBT it was self defense.”

Dave Chappelle complained about DaBaby facing more heat for making homophobic comments than killing a man in The Closer.

“He once shot a n#### and killed him in Walmart,” Chappelle said in the special. “Oh, this is true, Google it. DaBaby shot and killed a n#### in Walmart in North Carolina. Nothing bad happened to his career. Do you see where I’m going with this? In our country, you can shoot and kill a n####, but you better not hurt a gay person’s feelings.”

DaBaby shot and killed 19-year-old Jalyn Craig in 2018. He claimed it was an act of self-defense, but he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon in connection to the deadly shooting. The charges were dropped in 2019.

Dave Chappelle has been embroiled in controversy since releasing The Closer. The National Black Justice Coalition called on Netflix to remove the special, blasting the company for giving a platform to transphobia and homophobia.

Jaclyn Moore, who served as a producer/showrunner for Netflix’s Dear White People, said she’d no longer work with the streaming service “as long as they continue to put out and profit from blatantly and dangerously transphobic content.”

The Kid LAROI Refuses To Address His Relationship With Lil Bibby

Brandon “Lil Bibby” Dickinson and George “G-Money” Dickinson played important roles in the rise of Charlton “The Kid LAROI” Howard. The Dickinson brothers’ Grade A Productions reportedly signed Howard to a management deal in 2019.

Grade A’s flagship act, the late Juice WRLD, even took The Kid LAROI on tour with him that same year. It appears the F*ck Love mixtape creator is no longer associated with Lil Bibby and G-Money.

The Kid LAROI was asked about his connection to Grade A during an interview with Billboard for the outlet’s 21 Under 21 issue. However, LAROI, his publicity team, and Columbia Records representatives refused to address the 18-year-old recording artist’s current relationship with Lil Bibby.

Josh Glicksman reports:

LAROI tagged along with the team for Juice’s Death Race for Love Tour, often staying in adjoining hotel rooms with Grade A partner Peter Jideonwo. But the relationship soured, though Columbia declines to comment on why, and Jideonwo stopped responding to Billboard interview requests. LAROI, when asked about Grade A, says, “we won’t talk about them,” and when I ask if he’s at all in touch with Bibby anymore, his publicist shuts down the conversation.

The Kid LAROI Breaks With Scooter Braun

Additionally, The Kid LAROI parted ways with Scooter Braun’s SB Projects company. Braun is best known for managing Pop superstars Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber teamed up for the global smash “Stay.” The collaboration spent six nonconsecutive weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 chart in 2021.

“LAROI is a brilliant artist, and I wish him and his family nothing but the best,” Scooter Braun told Billboard. “I’m proud of the historic success we had together in our short time — I am rooting for him always, and he knows that.”

The Kid LAROI is now associated with Adam Leber’s Rebel Management. It is still unclear how much Lil Bibby is still involved in the Australian performer’s career at the moment.

As recently as August of this year, Grade A’s Instagram page congratulated The Kid LAROI for “Stay” going Number One. Prior to the apparent split, LAROI appeared on posthumous songs by Juice WRLD including “Hate the Other Side” and “Reminds Me Of You.”

Doja Cat Expresses Feeling “Tired” & “Not Happy”

Doja Cat has had a very busy 2021. She released her third studio LP Planet Her, made a guest appearance on Lil Dicky’s Dave television series, and hosted the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

The consistent work seems to be weighing on Doja Cat. The 25-year-old Californian took to Twitter to express her frustrations before she removed the posts.

Doja Cat reportedly wrote:

I’m just tired and I don’t want to do anything. I’m not happy. I’m done saying yes to m############ cuz I can’t even have a week to just chill. I’m never not working. I’m f###### tired. Alex is getting old he’s 68 years old and I can’t even be there for him. I wanna be alone. It’s not anybody else’s fault but mine anyway I just keep agreeing to s### I don’t wanna do in the future. It’s my own dumb-ass fault. And then I’m too tired to put any effort into this s### cuz I’m so run down from everything else.

@DojaCat

Those complaints are no longer on Doja Cat’s Twitter page. Her most recent present tweet from October 6 reads, “Getting on Live in 5 minutes to do look with my new BH Cosmetics drop. See u🤓.”

One Twitter user replied to that tweet by asking Doja Cat if she was okay. Another user suggested Doja appeared to be “down.” The “Kiss Me More” singer simply responded with a “:\” emoticon which typically signifies confusion or indecision.

Doja Cat Found Commerical Success With The ‘Hot Pink’ & ‘Planet Her’ Albums

Planet Her became Doja Cat’s highest-charting album when it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart in July. The RCA-released project has remained in the Top 10 for 14 weeks. Her catalog also includes 2018’s Amala and 2019’s Hot Pink.

Three singles from Planet Her – “Kiss Me More” (#3), “You Right” featuring The Weeknd (#11), and “Need to Know” (#14) – peaked in the Top 20 of the Hot 100 chart. She also reached the Top 5 as a contributor to Ariana Grande’s “34+35 (Remix)” along with Megan Thee Stallion.

Hot Pink was Doja Cat’s breakout album. “Say So” featuring Nicki Minaj topped the Hot 100 rankings in 2020. “Streets” went viral on social media as part of the #SilhouetteChallenge before Doja published the track’s official music video starring Kofi Siriboe.
