A mutual admiration helped the creative relation flourish according to Amina Mauddi, who also designed a line of shoes for Rihanna’s Fenty brand.
Amina said, “it was just about incorporating his universe, his aesthetic, his visuals.”
One of the clear high heels in the line features a butterfly charm, which was A$AP Rocky’s tribute to his late comrade and A$AP Yams, who died in January of 2015.
A$AP Rocky’s new high-heel designs are only being offered for sale through a handful of select global retailers.
A variety of rappers have teamed up to fight off an alien invasion – in a new game.
Sakeworld is billed as a “new breed of beat em up” gaming featuring the ability to play as Chief Keef, Trippie Redd, D Savage, Young Bans, or Rucci.
Gamers have to punch, kick, and blast through enemies and bosses to clean up the streets of the city.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CIrPEBJJCX4/
While the game is surely entertaining, there is a serious story behind Sakeworld.
Sake is a streetwear brand created by Jack Phoenix, who was a Venice, California based designer who was killed at the age of 15, in 2015.
Jack Phoenix was decapitated after he was hit by a driver who was fleeing from the police. The teen’s head was eventually found in the car that ran him over.
Jake Phoenix’s family refused to let his vision die, and helped turn the Sake brand into a thriving streetwear business through multiple stores in Los Angeles, and by collaborations with rappers.
For now, Sakeworld is available for free on iOS. Versions of the game are scheduled to be rolled out for Android devices, and PS4/5 soon.
The Feds claim G Herbo and several associates are accused of running a $1.5 million scam using stolen credit card information to book jets, stay in five-star hotels, higher personal chefs and stay at luxury resorts.
G Herbo, born Herbert Wright III, has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The rapper seemed thankful as his friend’s greeted him, as he dripped in pricey jewelry.

The battle between two of R&B’s most beloved singers had to be canceled after Ashanti revealed she had contracted COVID-19 at the last minute, forcing her to cancel her trip to Los Angeles to face-off against Keyshia in person.
“I was ready man to get in there with you but your health is more important than that, you know saying,” Keyshia Cole said. “We’re gonna do it again. Come back to the top of the year, we gonna make it happen.”
“It came from a family member that I gave a hug to in my house, where you think is supposed to be safe,” Ashanti said during her IG live. “This just shows that it’s real. We just lost, Tiny [Tommy Lister] you know “Deebo” from ‘Friday,’ rest in peace,” Ashanti said. “This s### is real. I’m about to be Uber eating for a whole two weeks.”
Angry fans hopped on Instagram where they were bashing Ashanti until she brought Keyshia Cole in, who told everyone to take the pandemic serious and to cut the jokes.
“I don’t really think that people should be down talking about real health pandemic. And it’s a scare that’s going on,” Keyshia Cole said. “We’re just gonna bring it right back. We’re gonna do it for the ladies, [just] how to fellas just did it last week, we are going to do it for the ladies and we’re gonna make it a good time. We’re gonna make it a moment.”
Thankfully, the battle already has a new date.
Ashanti and Keyshia Cole will face-off on January 9th, since Ashanti is planning to be quarantined for the next few weeks.
A lot of people now have nothing to do, as the Verzuz music battle between Keisha Cole and Ashanti may have to be postponed.
Fans around the world were gearing up for a highly anticipated battle between Ashanti and Keyshia Cole tonight (December 12th).
But once again, COVID-19 is reared it’s ugly head and ruined another event.
A few hours before their Verzuz battle was supposed to start, Ashanti revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19, throwing the highly anticipated R&B battle into chaos.
“Hey y’all I can’t believe I’m saying this but I tested positive for COVID-19,” Ashanti revealed just moments ago. “I’m ok and not in any pain..I’m actually down to do the verzuz from my house… we’re trying to figure it all out!!!”
Ashanti revealed she caught COVID-19 when she hugged a family member, underscoring how contagious the disease is.
“It came from a family member that I gave a hug to in my house, where you think is supposed to be safe,” Ashanti said during her IG live.
Tamar Braxton replied with nothing but face palming emoji’s, Kash Doll told Ashanti to “stop playing,” drawing hundreds of co-signs and rapper Trouble told her to “figure it out.”
Keyshia’s Cole’s fans are letting Ashanti have it for revealing her health status so close to the start of the batte.
“Don’t f###### play.. my family planned a party for you bihhhh😑😂🙄,” one angry user wrote, while another begged her to take another test: “Ashanti I done bought flowers for my house and all this food and liquor, you better wash your damn hands and put a mask on and shield around you and sing them damn songs. And take another test it might be wrong.”
A variety of people also gave Ashanti support, including Chance the Rapper, Big Boi and Jeremih, who just recovered after a scary battle with COVID-19 which almost took his life.

I heard the most insane rumor. If you are here, you know what it is. An indus try insider on Facebook stated that Swizz and Timbo are working on one of the craziest Verzus EVER.
JAY-Z.
I will stop it right there for now. We know Jay-Z! Jay-Z doesn’t do stuff like Verzuz! If he does, he creates his own and profits from it. If it’s not going on his platform, why would he? BUT….lets entertain this for a bit.
DRAKE.
At this point, Drake is the closest thing to Jay-Z the middle school of Hip-Hop has. No, he’s not American and has no street cred, but he has amassed tons of money, influence, got all types of hits and set the bar for where we are today. Again, he’s no Jay-Z but when it comes to Hip-Hop, there are not a lot of people that can mess with Jay. Drake….has a shot.
Is this possible? I say no, but the source INSISTS they are working on something with Jay-Z.
Something?
In looking farther, the dude made mention of Nas. Do you think it may be possible that they could parlay a bit Verzuz with Jay and Nas? That Jeezy vs Gucci Mane battle did wonders! There was a lot of tension, healing and drama in The A for that one! Then they made the revelation that Lil Kim and Foxy might be on the way! Remember, Foxy’s brother Gavin made the slip-up and set off the rumors. Since there has been no word on whether or not this will actually happen, but could they manifest the ultimate coup: Jay-Z and Nas?
I feel like both men are past all this, but I am hoping they are not. I think its impossible, but I have faith in TIm and Swizz!
So, the dude swears something in this rumor is true and would not come off its validity no matter how much people clowned him.
2020 has been a whirlwind in itself, but that’s not stopping anything for Jose Guapo.
The Atlanta rapper has been putting in work during this COVID-19 pandemic, continuing to make music and get to the money as he always has. Exploding onto the scene with his viral single “Run It Up” featuring Takeoff of Migos and YFN Lucci, it’s safe to say he’s an OG in the rap game.
Now, he returns to bless his fans with the deluxe version to his most recent project, *Baby Face Nelson. *The original project was hosted by Bigga Rankin released back in July, and now he adds 10 new tracks to the already lit body of work. With songs like “Bandemic” and “Hell of a Life,” Jose turns a negative into a positive with music to inspired the masses.
Speaking on the deluxe, he states, “10 new tracks added to end the 4th quarter with a band. Every song is a bagner fasho, just owed it to my fans. Also, ‘Extravagant Trench S### Pt. 3″ dropping next month!”

Most recently Jose went viral during an interview, when he hilariously reacted to the word “simultaneously.”
Of course capitalizing on the moment, he followed it up with its own official single, “Simultaneously.” The new single “Bandemic” is produced by Cassius Jay, deeming it one of the “hardest songs he’s made all year, no rap cap!”

Jamie Foxx once recruited a group of his friends to pay a visit to her high school boyfriend to “intimidate” him.
The “Ray” star’s real-life bond with his eldest daughter, actress Corinne Foxx, has inspired the new Netflix sitcom “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me,” and the 26-year-old admitted they had plenty of material to draw from because he was so “over the top” growing up.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “Yes, my dad is cool, but he also embarrassed me a lot through my teenagehood. So we basically wrote a show about it…
“He’s just over the top with everything. I think one that is in the show is when he showed up at my high school boyfriend’s front door with a gang of his friends to, I don’t know what. Intimidate him, threaten him, who knows what he said to this kid.
“That’s just a very, very small amount of the things that he did to embarrass me.”
Corinne – whose mother is Connie Kline – admitted her dad has “never been on set” for any of her movies because he’s such a “big personality.”
She said: “I think he likes to give me kind of a little bit of space to do my thing. And you know him. He’s a big personality on set.”
Texas rap legend Bun B. is doing his part to educate African Americans about the dangers of COVID-19.
The United States has seen a massive spike in coronavirus cases and deaths over the past few months and the disease has disproportionately impacted the African-American community.
Bun B. decided to throw his weight behind a new campaign being launched by The Ad Council, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the CDC Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Bun B. is starring in a nationwide advertising campaign titled “The Power of Us.”

Bun’s new campaign will offer tips on social distancing, the importance of wearing face masks, hand washing, and general personal hygiene.

It means everything to me to close out the year this way, especially honoring my father who passed away 8 years ago and my son who turns 30 in 2021.”
Stream “Righteous Way” and end the year on a high note!
Some battle rap fans believe that 2020 has been one long and continuous Volume card.
The year-end signature marquee event that made the small room sexy again was trumped this year by the coronavirus’ social distance protocols. All leagues (not just the URL) have resorted to small intimate contests, where lyrics are at the center of the production and the crowd gas is minimized. But after “the world’s most respected league” announced this heavy-hitting card (with names that could easily have been on a NOME or Summer Madness), many were reminded why the Volume Series stands out: it is literally a rap-sodical battle royale that no one wants to miss.
The card is crazy and promises to have fans on edge with representation from almost every class of battle rap since the inception of this modern-day era.
PIONEERS
Rappers Goodz and Arsonal can trace their heritage to the very early days of street-corner emceeing and terrorizing pioneering leagues like Lionz Den, Fight Klub, and Grind Time. To get in the ring with them in 2020 is a badge of honor, as their careers have afforded them access to rap royalty and celebrity in three different decades (2000’s, 2010’s and now 2020). And yet, their love for the culture has not wained and they continue to wreck stages when invited. From an artists’ perspective, they are part of the foundation as to why battle rap is the most exciting element of Hip-Hop.
VETS FIRST CLASS
K-Shine and Chilla Jones have been pushing forth at URL almost since the very beginning. While both have experienced an arduous journey, oftentimes having to redefine who they are in the culture. Now, few can dispute that either is worthy of the many accolades that fall at their feet. Their styles are different, but it is that kind of innovation that justifies why they are still here.
THE CHAMPS
As competitors, T-Top and Ill Will are elite. Both served as champions on the Ultimate Rap League’s collaborative effort with 106 & Park’s Ultimate Freestyle Friday tournaments, where they beat (badly) all of the top rookies in their class. But this is no “Al Bundy” story. These two continue to strike fear in their opponents — accomplishing what often seems incredulous to even fathom as an artist.
THE GOLD RUSH
There is a reason why California is called the Golden State. Because in the crux of the state’s urban oasis, URL has mined emcees that are valuable to the culture as the precious metal. Geechi Gotti, B Dot, and Danny Myers proudly represent a legacy of lyricism that has made SoCa dangerous in battle rap. Geechi Gotti rocks in the direct genealogy of the old Ice Cube. B Dot could be called the grandchild of the Souls of Mischief. And few would deny Danny Myers the mantle left swinging by Ras Kass.
THE NEXT GENERATION
Folk may want to call Jerry Wess and Eazy the Black Captain rookies, but they are not. They are the next generation of superstars. Calling them rookies diminishes their work or significant efforts to get to this level. At the same time, Jerry Wess’ resume is respectable and there is still much to prove for the rising Eazy the Block Captain.
THE FOREIGNER
Hip-Hop was birthed in the belly of this nation’s struggle and battle rap is the remnant of that hunger that made Rakim, Jay-Z, and pens like Black Thought the notable pens that they are. ALL OF THAT IS AMERICAN MADE. But in 2020, rap is the #1 musical genre in the world and so that means internationally, some enthusiasts desire to jump and immerse themselves in the culture. That would be the Canadian Pat Stay. But the thing is … despite being from up North … he spits as if he has boogie down Bronx roots and fits in comfortably in the Ultimate Rap League roster of killers.
Twelve emcees are thrown together in a gumbo of sportsmanship. Let’s see who will step forward as victorious. The card is as follows:
Goodz vs. Geechi Gotti
K-Shine vs. Pat Stay
Arsonal vs. Jerry Wess
Chilla Jones vs. B Dot
Ill Will vs Danny Myers
T-Top vs. Eazy, The Block Captain
Volume 6 seems to be the perfect card for the Ultimate Rap League to end this hectic year. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype and delivers up to its promise. To watch it live for free, download the Caffeine.TV app and tune in Saturday, December 12 at 8 pm EST/ 5 pm PST.
As a producer, you can only dream of working with the greats such as Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, and Polo G. Insert Sonic, who produced 5 standout records from Roddy’s most recent debut album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial: “Moonwalkin” featuring Lil Durk, “Perfect Time,” “Gods Eyes,” “Prayers to the Trap God,” and “War Baby.”
As a kid, real name Eric Sandoval was into sports, getting his start playing baseball. With his parents owning a CD store in Chi-Town, he began listening to everything from Hip Hop to R&B to even Spanish music. The eclectic mix of genres inspired him to start making music himself, until 6th grade when he started listening to Waka Flocka Flame. From there, he knew music would be his end-be-all.
Now going on a decade of making beats and grinding, Sonic continues on with his main goal in life: to inspire and motivate the masses. AllHipHop: Being from Chicago what was the house like growing up?
Sonic: For me at least, there were a lot of ups and downs. When it came to family, everyone has their own problems. Where I grew up, it wasn’t too hard but it was always strictly work hard and get what you want. Everything else will come to you in life.
AllHipHop: Biggest influences growing up?
Sonic: Dr. Dre for sure. Drumma Boy, D. Rich, Shawty Redd, and Lil Jon.
AllHipHop: How did you teach yourself how to produce?
Sonic: I watched a lot of Youtube videos. Everything that I know is pretty much self-taught. I stayed up long nights learning different ways to get better and this is what it’s come to in the last 10 years. I figured out how to download everything my 6th grade year. I figured out everything, how to get everything working together.
AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?
Sonic: I’d play a lot of Sonic as a kid growing up on my Gameboy, that’s what they’d call me. As years went on, I found out that sonic is a soundwave. It goes together so I ran with it and stuck with the name.
AllHipHop: How did you get tapped in with Roddy Ricch?
Sonic: Oh man, this is crazy. I was working at a job at Menards and one of my guys called me, he said “yo I need you to come meet this artist in LA, his name’s Roddy Ricch.” At that point, I had placements with Money Man, I had placements with Durk, but I still wasn’t in position to stop working. I was down to my last couple dollars. I flew out to LA, I met Roddy and we locked in for a week or two. I ended up losing my job because I didn’t go back.
AllHipHop: How does it feel to have Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial go double-Platinum?
Sonic: It feels good, that’s actually my first Platinum plaque. For it to go double means a lot to me. It shows you where hard work can take you, at least for me.
AllHipHop: You say it’s something new with Roddy everyday, in what way have you guys evolved?
Sonic: Just wanting to be different. Wanting to always experiment, take his time with music. The same way I do, I like taking my time. I don’t really like rushing music. We make music for ourselves and everybody else, so we want everybody else to always feel the music.
AllHipHop: You and Lil Durk are both from Chicago, how’d you meet him?
Sonic: Crazy, I was 3 weeks into college and I flew out to meet Durk. Durk let me stay at his house for a week, we cooked up a bunch of records. That’s how I built a relationship with Durk.
AllHipHop: What was it like working with Juice WRLD and Bibby?
Sonic: In the studio, I pulled up. Pulled up beats, Juice was going crazy. That’s the first time I actually met him. He did 10 songs that night. From that first day on, I thought “whoa this kid’s a star.” I showed him in the studio to my manager and he said “whoa, who’s this kid? Sure enough in a matter of a month or two, he took off. I love the experience of creating with new artists.
AllHipHop: What’s your take on the music industry?
Sonic: It’s cool. I don’t really think about that sometimes, I go with the flow. I see it for what it really is. If you go too deep into it, it’s too much thinking. I really do it for the music.
AllHipHop: What advice do you have for upcoming producers?
Sonic: My main advice would be networking. Whether it’s through social media or music events like A3C, getting your face out there. Going all in, don’t half ass s###. Take your time, trust the process, and never give up on yourself. At the end of the day if you work, everything else will come with whatever you’re chasing in life.
