Charleston White Arrested On Multiple Felony Charges—Again

Internet provocateur Charleston White was arrested on Tuesday (February 18) in Fort Worth, Texas.

According to inmate records, he’s being held without bond at Lon Evans Correctional Center on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. No further details were provided.

White initially gained attention through his social media presence and interviews, where he often speaks on topics related to street culture, gang life and societal issues. He’s particularly known for his strong criticism of the Hip-Hop community, especially in relation to gang violence and the lifestyle that comes with it.

White is also a self-proclaimed activist who advocates for the empowerment of young Black people, though his methods and rhetoric have attracted both support and criticism. His approach tends to be polarizing, with some seeing him as a truth-teller who challenges negative stereotypes, while others view his comments as inflammatory or harmful. In addition to his public persona, White is known for his work with youth in his community, often promoting education and personal growth as a way to avoid a life of crime.

But he’s routinely on the wrong side of the law and has been arrested several times throughout the course of his life. He’s openly discussed his troubled past, including his involvement in street life and gang activity.

A recent incident, and perhaps one of the most horrific, involved the abuse of animals. In October 2024, White was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and cruelty to non-livestock animals in Tarrant County. Records noted the cruelty charge was for killing, poisoning or causing serious bodily injury to an animal without the owner’s consent. He was previously busted for the same charges in 2023.

It also wasn’t that long ago he was celebrating Lil Durk’s arrest. The same month he went to jail for the animal cruelty incident, he gloated about Lil Durk’s legal troubles.

“The chickens coming home to roost,” White said. “Ain’t nobody laughing at Durk like they was laughing at me when I went to jail. Lord have mercy. So, ain’t nobody laughing at Durk. Now, it ain’t funny. Now, your favorite rapper go to jail and look like he got a no bond like me. But that boy got a federal no bond. I bet that n####’s ass closed up. He gotta burp to pass gas. He can’t even fart out his ass. I know the feeling.

“I will never lose in this s###,” he said. “As long as rap exists, I’m gonna have a platform. You n##### love them rappers but wanna hate the community activist.”

Cam’ron Praises JAY-Z’s Hustle But Agrees With Gillie Da Kid On Skipping Roc Nation Brunch

Cam’ron has once again shed light on the murky waters surrounding his relationship with JAY-Z, and believe it or not, Gillie Da Kid may have inspired him to do so.

During a recent conversation he had with a guest on his Talk With Flee podcast, Cam’ron explained why he has chosen to skip the annual Roc Nation brunch organized by JAY-Z’s company—piggybacking off of comments Gillie Da Kid made earlier this month. While Cam’ron gave JAY-Z his props for his hustle and elevation, he made it clear that his success doesn’t necessarily make HOV a person he would regularly hang out with because he’s already done that in the past. In doing so, Cam’ron ended up revealing that he was never invited but also never had any desire to go.

“I’ve done records with JAY-Z,” Cam’ron said. “I was actually signed to JAY-Z’s company. I had a joint venture with JAY-Z and Def Jam. It’s not a big deal for me to be around JAY-Z or his people. I grew up with his business partner Juan [OG Juan Perez]. I played basketball against Juan, not only coached against Juan—so it’s not really a big deal for me to be around a bunch of men. And that’s what the brunch is: a bunch of men with a few scattered women.”

Cam’ron went on to acknowledge how appealing the brunch may be for younger artists and celebrities by recalling an anecdote about boxer Gervonta Davis, who was excited to attend and meet JAY-Z for the first time.

“I remember watching Tank [Gervonta Davis], the boxer, e was excited to go for the first time,” he said. “I think he never met JAY-Z.”

He continued, “He was in the mirror coaching himself like, ‘How am I gonna say hello to JAY-Z? Hey, my man! Yo, what’s up, my man!’ It was funny, but I get that for people who’ve never been in that environment or never met JAY-Z.”

Despite his lack of interest in attending the event, Cam’ron made it clear that he respects JAY-Z’s hustle and success, especially considering his rise from humble beginnings.

“At the end of the day, one thing I never take away from JAY-Z is the hustle,” he said. “I don’t know Marcy [Marcy Projects] JAY-Z, but I know 560 State St. JAY-Z. I never saw JAY-Z broke. When I met JAY-Z, he lived in 560 State Street, had fish tanks in the walls, lived in a duplex, and always had money. Seeing his elevation is incredible. If you’re a hustler, there’s no way not to like what JAY-Z’s talking about.”

However, Cam’ron is firm in his stance that he has no intention of using the brunch as a means to build a relationship with JAY-Z or anyone else in attendance.

“I’m not gonna go to a brunch to try and have that relationship there,” he said. “If I really wanted to talk to somebody, I’d just make a call. It’s not a big deal for me.”

Gillie Da Kid, on the other hand, took a different approach when explaining why he refuses to attend the Roc Nation Brunch during his interview on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe. He believes the entire event is orchestrated as a power move for JAY-Z rather than a genuine networking opportunity.

“I learned that all of that sh*t is fake,” Gillie Da Kid said when asked about the music industry. “That’s why I don’t go to no parties. It’s just a bunch of drunk people lying to each other, saying, ‘We gonna get together, man,’ when they don’t even have your number.”

Gillie views the event as a strategic branding play rather than an actual opportunity to forge new relationships.

“They invited me to the Roc Nation Brunch, and I was like, ‘Why would I want to come?’ You want me to be real or you want me to lie?” he said. “The Roc Nation Brunch ain’t nothing but JAY-Z putting a bunch of people on the lawn, then going in the back door saying, ‘I told you I still run this s###. Give me the money.’”

He emphasized that he has built his own brand and refuses to participate in industry events that don’t offer real value.

“I don’t let nobody use my brain for their branding,” he said. “What do you get from going to these parties except for a picture? They don’t even smile with you unless you’re worth $500 million or more.”

While Gillie’s assertion of the situation appears to stem from overall evaluation of the disingenuous atmosphere in the music industry, Cam’s seems to be rooted in more of a personal issue. In fact, Cam’ron’s thoughts follow a podcast that aired last year during which he revealed he hadn’t spoke to JAY-Z since he performed at his B-Sides concert years ago.

Damon Dash’s Courtroom Defiance Backfires In “Dear Frank” Fight

Damon Dash was just handed a major loss in court in his long-running battle with director Josh Webber over the film Dear Frank.

Judge John F. Walter didn’t hold back and slammed Dash for repeatedly ignoring court orders, stripping his legal response from the record and setting him up for a default judgment.

The legal drama stems from a years-long fight over the movie, which Dash initially worked on but was later removed from due to allegations of unprofessional behavior on set.

Despite his ousting, Dash continued to promote the film as his own, even trying to sell it under the title “The List.”

Webber and production company Muddy Water Pictures weren’t having it, so they sued him for copyright infringement and defamation in 2019. In 2022, a jury ordered Dash to cough up $805,000 in damages.

In the latest update, Judge Walter accused Dash of failing to follow basic courtroom procedures, including skipping out on filing key legal documents, dodging court-ordered mediation and flat-out ignoring deadlines.

The ruling makes it clear: Dash had plenty of warnings, but his refusal to participate in the case left the court no choice but to enter a default against him.

That opens the door for Webber and his team to ask for damages, likely much more than the original $805,000 when factoring in interest and lawyer fees.

The judge has given Webber until March 3 to submit proof of damages, meaning Dash could be on the hook for a massive payout.

If that wasn’t enough, earlier this week, author Edwyna Brooks sued him for allegedly hiding assets to avoid paying another $100,000 judgment in a separate case.

Last year, a court forced him to sell his one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records to help pay off his debts, including an $8.7 million tax bill, but the sale only fetched a little over $1 million.

Rihanna Goes Viral For Checking Reporter Questioning A$AP Rocky After Acquittal

Rihanna didn’t hold back when she shut down a reporter’s question following A$AP Rocky’s trial victory.

The billionaire singer and beauty mogul, who has been a source of unwavering support for Rocky during the trial, made it clear she wasn’t here for any unnecessary drama.

As cameras rolled, the journalist attempted to question A$AP Rocky about his feelings towards former friend ASAP Relli (Terell Ephron), who testified against him. However, Rihanna swiftly put the reporter in their place.

Before Rocky could respond, Rihanna swiftly stepped in—spinning around, raising her hand and cutting off the reporter with a sharp retort: “How you think it feel?”

Rocky faced two felony counts of assault with a firearm stemming from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood, California. Prosecutors alleged Rocky pointed a gun at Relli and shot at him, causing minor injuries.

While on the stand, Relli testified that Rocky threatened to kill him and pointed a gun at his stomach and head. Rocky’s defense team argued that Relli was lying and seeking a payday, claiming the gun was a prop used for a music video.

The jury deliberated for less than a day before reaching the not guilty verdict, acquitting the rapper of all charges.

A$AP Rocky Embraces Rihanna Following Trial Victory

An overjoyed A$AP Rocky leaped into Rihanna’s arms as the verdict was read in court.

He thanked God and the jury “for making the right decision” while addressing press outside the courtroom.

“I’m just so thankful,” he added. “This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy, for the past four years, but I’m thankful, nonetheless, I’m thankful. Blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all. Thank you. All praise to God.”

50 Cent Exposes Lil Meech’s Drug Use Drama With Explosive Rehab Revelation

50 Cent didn’t just mentor Lil Meech in Hollywood—he also intervened when drugs threatened to derail the young actor’s rising career.

The Hip-Hop mogul revealed he sent Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. to rehab after noticing signs of substance use, a revelation that adds fuel to his ongoing feud with Lil Meech’s father, Black Mafia Family founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.

“Thought about it. I think he was uncomfortable with me and MeMe’s relationship,” 50 wrote on Instagram, using a nickname for Lil Meech. “I’m telling MeMe don’t want him doing drugs. He telling him he use to do X like it’s cool.”

According to 50, concerns about Lil Meech’s drug use escalated when actor Russell Hornsby, who plays Charles Flenory in Starz’s BMF series with Lil Meech, noticed something was off.

The young star reportedly became “high as f***” while working on set and later vomited during a weapons test.

“People don’t know had to send MeMe to rehab,” 50 claimed. “Russell Hornsby peeped he was high as f*** on set he started throwing up at a weapons test. Then Ian [Woolf] told me the little had whippets in his truck… I said what the f*** is whippets? Look, it’s the s### that is in Bebe [sic] guns.”

Whippets, made from nitrous oxide, are a popular inhalant that induces a short-lived high.

The drug has gained traction in Hip-Hop circles, with prominent rappers, including Kanye West, Young Thug, Skrilla and Lil Uzi Vert, previously linked to its use.

50 Cent’s comments further inflame his public clash with Big Meech.

The tension between the entertainment mogul and former crime boss surfaced after Big Meech aligned himself with 50 Cent’s longtime rival Rick Ross for a “Welcome Home” concert following his prison release, which was eventually canceled.

But 50 Cent claims the problems run deeper.

He has accused Big Meech of failing to support his son’s acting career and alleges that everything from the BMF series’ success to financial support for the Flenory family has been unappreciated.

The most startling claim is that Big Meech “snitched” on an associate named Dionne Lamont Gatling, a/k/a Cuffy, a claim 50 Cent says Meech’s former business partner Tammy Cowins is willing to expose in an upcoming documentary.

The feud has played out on social media, with 50 Cent taunting Big Meech by posting rat emojis and branding “Big Screech.”

Cassie Ventura Pregnant With Third Child, Shows Off Baby Bump In Instagram Post

Cassie Ventura and her husband, Alex Fine, have announced the singer is pregnant with their third child.

The couple shared the news on Instagram with a set of adorable images of the growing family. The sweet black and white shots feature their two daughters and show Ventura proudly showing off her growing baby bump. Fine also appears in the photos, cradling his partner’s belly in one.

She captioned the post with a blue heart emoji, suggesting the couple may be expecting their first son.

Cassie Ventura met Alex Fine at a gym in 2018, where he worked as a personal trainer. They went public later that year, shortly after Ventura’s split from Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Then, in June 2019, Ventura announced she was pregnant with their first child. Fine proposed in August 2019 with a cowboy-themed proposal, riding up on a horse.

The couple married on August 24, 2019, in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, California, and welcomed their first daughter, Frankie, that December. Their second daughter, Sunny, was born in March 2021.

Fine has been a constant source of support during her legal battles with Diddy.

Diddy’s legal team attempted to downplay Ventura’s abuse claims during a court hearing in September 2024. His attorney suggested that Cassie Ventura had cheated on Diddy with Alex Fine, her former trainer and now husband.

He also implied that government-leaked footage of Diddy assaulting Ventura was manipulated, claiming Ventura had hit him with a cell phone before the incident. Ventura had sued Diddy for rape and years of abuse, which was settled out of court.

Drake Joins In As 50 Cent Roasts Joe Budden Over Naked Arrest

50 Cent is keeping his foot on Joe Budden’s neck after the rapper-turned-podcaster insisted the G-Unit boss needs therapy —much to Drake’s amusement.

On Wednesday morning (February 19), 50 Cent hopped on Instagram with a trio of AI-generated images of Budden in his underwear, poking fun at his arrest last year. Cops charged the Mood Muzic creator with lewdness after he was caught walking around his apartment building naked.

“Da f### is you doing over there naked Joe?” 50 Cent captioned one image. “How you open the damn door if you sleep fool. Nah f### all that, you try it again perv!”

He continued, “Joe where the f### is you going, The Diamond club in the Bronx. You shot da f### out boy!”

Long-time Joe Budden rival Drake showed his support by liking 50 Cent’s post, adding fuel to the fire.

“Joe I’m a ask you this one last time,” 50 Cent captioned the third image. “Da f### wrong wit you Punk! you scaring the kids.”

After having fun at Budden’s expense, 50 followed up in the comments with, “Now I’m a try and go back to sleep.”

The episode that triggered 50 Cent featured Budden discussing the Power exec’s insensitive response to Irv Gotti’s death.

“50 Cent needs therapy,” Budden asserted. “I don’t care if you agree with the rationale. And 50’s 50, he gon’ stand in it.”

50 Cent swiftly fired back on Instagram, warning him to back off and taunting him over the arrest.

“Stay out my mix Joe talking about I need therapy,” he wrote. “B_itch you need to stop walking around naked. The f### is you doing in the hallway with ya balls out PUNK!”

Kodak Black Slams “Clout Chasing” Ex After Alleged Baby Mama Brawl & Child Support Dispute

Kodak Black has blasted the mother of two of his five children after she reportedly filed a court request to increase child support.

The Pompano Beach, Florida, native took to Instagram to bash his ex, Maranda Johnson, referencing a clash between his baby mothers at a birthday party for one of his daughters in January.

“All the muthafucka wanna do is show out for the internet,” Black said while holding his son, the second child he shares with Johnson.

“Fighting in front of all type of babies and s###,” he continued. “You love all this f###### juice chasing. I don’t even try to make you look bad, dirty ass stink ass ho.”

Black added, “Play crazy and call police and s###. Be popping all this gangsta s### and all this stupid ass clout chasing s###.”

The rapper has five children — three boys and two girls — with four different women. His most recent child, Prince Vulture Octave Kapri, was born in January.

Johnson filed to increase her child support payments last week, TMZ reports. The rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, told the outlet the rapper already has visitation with all his kids and financially supports them. Cohen claims Johnson believes she’s owed increased because she has two kids with Black.

Furthermore, Cohen believes the conflict between the mothers of Kodak’s children sparked the legal action.

A mass altercation broke out following an argument between three of Kodak Black’s baby mamas at a party last month. Police were called after two of the women allegedly got into a huge brawl. The rapper reportedly left before the fight and no serious injuries were reported.

Kanye West, 50 Cent, Rihanna & More React As Hip-Hop Celebrates A$AP Rocky’s Victory

A$AP Rocky walked out of court a free man after a jury acquitted him of all charges in his long-running assault case, and the Hip-Hop community couldn’t be more pleased for him.

Addressing reporters outside of court following the verdict, Rocky thanked God and the jury “for making the right decision.”

He continued, “ I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy, for the past four years, but I’m thankful, nonetheless, I’m thankful. Blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talkin’ to y’all. Thank you. All praise to God.”

After the trial, Rocky fueled anticipation for his long-awaited album with a tweet that had fans buzzing.

“DON’T BE DUMB,” he wrote, referencing the title of his upcoming project.

Rocky leaped into Rihanna’s arms after hearing the verdict in court, sparking a flurry of memes comparing the rapper to the “flying felon,” Deobra Redden, who went viral after jumping over a desk to attack a judge.

Rhianna celebrated the victory on her Instagram Stories, writing, “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy!”

Kanye West paid tribute with a photo of his “Jukebox Joints” collaborator captioned with a prayer hands emoji.

50 Cent meanwhile repeated his prediction that Rocky would beat the case.

“Not Guilty,” he shared on Instagram. “I told [ninjas] I would bet 500,000 K he gonna beat it when ASAP Tellie started getting tired of telling 5 days straight. BOOM. Now stay sucker free!”

Nicki Minaj shared a photo of A$AP Rocky Rihanna and their two sons on her Instagram Stories, adding, “To God be the glory.”

Papoose also got in on the celebrations, posting a clip of Rocky’s exuberant reaction to the verdict.

“I know on the internet everything is a joke,” he said. “But man I’m so happy for this dude. Peace to Asap & his family! God is good!”

Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, celebrated with the rapper and his family outside of court.

“We said from day once he was innocent,” Tacopina emphasized. “We turned down a plea for almost no jail time because he was innocent, and I’ve always said this was an extortion. The extortion played out live, in color, in court.”

He also urged the district attorney to “look long and hard at prosecuting Terell Ephron.”

Tacopina expressed his gratitude, saying he was “honored to have represented this amazing family” and calling Rocky “one of my closest friends.”

He continued, “But he’s also just a great, great person. Rihanna… they are seriously the greatest people, and I said I love them, and I really do love them. I got emotional in my summation because I really do care about them.”

Rocky then interrupted with a playful quip, branding his attorney, “ASAP Joe!”

Diddy Alleges Prosecutors Targeting Him With “Racist” White-Slave Traffic Act

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys are fighting back against one of his charges, arguing that the prosecution is racially biased and based on a law, originally known as the White-Slave Traffic Act, passed over a century ago.

“This case is unprecedented in many ways,” the motion obtained by AllHipHop states. “But perhaps most notably, and most disturbingly, no white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution.”

The incarcerated mogul’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss Count Three of the Superseding Indictment in their motion filed Tuesday (February 18), highlighting what they claim is selective enforcement against Combs due to his race and status.

The indictment cites the Mann Act, initially known as the White-Slave Traffic Act of 1910, designed to prohibit the transportation of women or girls across state lines for prostitution, debauchery, or other immoral purposes.

However, Diddy’s legal team argued that the charges against Combs represented an unjust application of the law. Specifically, the filing notes that “there has never been a similar RICO prosecution” and that “no other person, and certainly no white person, has ever previously been prosecuted under the White-Slave Traffic Act for hiring male escorts from another State.”

Additionally, the rapper’s attorneys assert the Mann Act has “a long and troubling history as a statute with racist origins, used to target Black men and supposedly protect White women from them.”

Diddy’ Attorneys Accuse Prosecution Of Bias

The defense claims the prosecution is rooted in racial discrimination, stating, “Mr. Combs has been singled out because he is a powerful Black man, and he is being prosecuted for conduct that regularly goes unpunished.”

The motion further critiques the historical use of the Mann Act, asserting, “What was racist in its inception has often been racist in its operation.”

According to the filing, the case against Combs is built largely on allegations that he and two longtime girlfriends occasionally hired male escorts. The defense argues that “the government has concocted a criminal case based primarily on allegations that Mr. Combs and two of his longtime girlfriends sometimes brought a third party—a male escort—into their sexual relationship.”

Beyond the charges themselves, the defense argues that the prosecution has engaged in conduct intended to damage Combs’ reputation and bias potential jurors. “The government’s handling of this case demonstrates bias and animus. It has gone out of its way to humiliate Mr. Combs and to prejudice the jury pool with pretrial publicity that plays on racist tropes. It has leaked damaging (and oftentimes false) material to the press,” the motion claims.

Currently, Diddy remains in federal custody in Brooklyn on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

His trial is set to begin in May.

Azealia Banks’ Kendrick Lamar Diatribe Includes Major Oversight

Azealia Banks went on one of her infamous Twitter (X) sprees this week, ranting and raving about Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef, Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group and JAY-Z’s involvement with the National Football League (NFL).

While Banks raised some interesting points, she was wrong when she talked about there being zero evidence Drake has a questionable preference for young women.

“If there were actual proof of that, Drake would be being investigated and if Kendrick had proof of that , as the father and black messiah he’s trying so desperately to portray himself as – he should’ve went to the police. It’s completely inappropriate to make a joke regarded any instances of sexual abuse against children because it’s not a f###### laughing matter

Banks is 100 percent right about pedophilia being nothing to joke about, but when Kendrick Lamar rapped, “Certified Lover Boy/Certified pedophile” in “Not Like Us,” it was somewhat based on Drake’s track record—albeit a bit exaggerated. Lest anyone forget that Drake—now 38—regularly texted underage girls, including Billie Eilish, Bella Harris and Millie Bobby Brown.

At the time Drake was texting Brown, she was 14 and he was 33. During a 2018 interview with Access Hollywood, she gushed, “I love him. I met him in Australia and he’s honestly so fantastic and a great friend and a great role model. You know we text – we just texted each other the other day and he was like ‘I miss you so much’ and I was like ‘I miss you more.’ He’s coming to Atlanta, so I’m definitely gonna go and see him and I’m so excited.”

Not only did Brown dismiss any negativity surrounding their friendship, but Drake also addressed the controversy in the song “Another Late Night,” rapping, “Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby, look. Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’.”

Eilish, meanwhile, was just 17 in 2019 when she began a texting relationship with Drake, then 34. Eilish defended their communication in an interview with Vogue, saying, “A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about. Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f### is that s###?”

As for Harris, who is the daughter of producer Jimmy Jam, she was 18 when she was hanging out with 31-year-old Drake. They were allegedly spotted having a private dinner together in Washington, D.C. in 2018, but she denied it. However, two weeks prior, she had shared a photo of herself backstage at Madison Square Garden, where Drake was performing and wrote, “No place I’d rather be,” adding fuel to the fire.

Whatever the case, it does seem like Drake “likes ’em young,” as Kendrick suggested. It’s also not hard to make a case that Drake is extremely misogynistic—all you have to do is listen to his lyrics. Maybe the fact he also had a child with a former p### star paints an even brighter picture of the kind of man he is.

In his defense, Drake directly tackled Kendrick’s accusations in “The Heart Part 6” and claimed K. Dot was fed false information by fake informants.

“The ones that you’re getting your stories from, they’re all clowns,” Drake rapped. “We plotted for a week and then we fed you the information/A daughter that’s 11 years old, I bet he takes it.”

He then angrily denied the allegations of underage sex, saying: “Drake is not a name that you gonn’ see on no sex offender list, easy does it/You mentioning A minor … B sharp and tell the fans: Who was it?/I never been with no-one underage … Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I’m too respected.” If the allegations were true, he added, “I promise I’d have been arrested.”

What do you think? Is Banks right or did she conveniently forget about Drake’s history?

Tupac Shakur Murder Suspect Keefe D’s Trial Hit With Major Postponement

The murder trial for Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the only person ever charged in connection with the killing of Tupac Shakur, has been delayed by nearly a year.

On Tuesday (February 18), ABC News reported that the trial, originally set to begin in mid-March, has now been pushed to February 2026. The ruling of the postponement, which is days shy of a full calendar year, arrives after Davis’ defense team requested more time to interview witnesses they claim can prove his innocence.

“It looks like there are quite a few things that are left to be done to get this case prepared so that Mr. Davis can have effective assistance of counsel,” Judge Carli Kierny said during a brief hearing.

“Given that, it appears as though I really don’t have much of a choice but to grant it,” the judge said.

Prosecutors didn’t oppose the defense’s motion to delay the trial. Davis, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, remains jailed since his September 2023 arrest.

Tupac Shakur was shot multiple times while riding in the passenger seat of Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight’s BMW on September 7, 1996. The attack, allegedly orchestrated by Davis, was reportedly in retaliation for a casino brawl involving 2Pac, Knight, and Davis’ nephew, Orlando Anderson. Anderson, who was suspected of being the shooter, was killed in a shooting incident in 1998.

Prosecutors argue that Davis played a key role in arranging the shooting, identifying him as the “shot caller.” However, Davis’ legal team is challenging this narrative, presenting a new argument to support his innocence. Defense attorney Carl Arnold claims Davis was not in Las Vegas at the time of the shooting and that new witnesses will support this claim.

In a motion filed last Friday (February 14), Arnold asserted that his private investigator has uncovered crucial evidence contradicting the official version of events.

“With every new piece of evidence, it becomes increasingly clear that critical facts have yet to be fully examined,” Arnold stated. “We are actively conducting further investigations, speaking with key witnesses, and ensuring that Mr. Davis receives the fair trial to which he is constitutionally entitled.”

The defense’s filing also presents the assertion that Reggie Wright Jr., former head of security for Death Row Records, and his team were responsible for 2Pac’s death.

“Our private investigator is interviewing witnesses that will be able to testify to these issues at the time of trial,” Arnold wrote in the filing.

Wright, who has previously testified before a grand jury in Davis’ case, strongly denied the allegations.

“Good luck finding someone saying that, that’s credible,” Wright told ABC News. “It’s heartbreaking they keep dragging in my name. I didn’t have anything to do with that. One of the worst days of my life was when I heard that that happened.”

Despite these new defense claims, prosecutors have yet to comment on their substance. Arguments regarding the matter are set for a February 25 hearing.

Davis’ legal history remains complex. In addition to his upcoming murder trial, he is scheduled to stand trial in early April in connection to a jailhouse fight that occurred in December 2024. He faces charges of battery by a prisoner and challenges to fight, having pleaded not guilty.

BREAKING: A$AP Rocky Found Not Guilty On All Counts In 2021 Shooting Case

A$AP Rocky walked out of a Los Angeles courtroom with a new lease on life Tuesday (February 18) after a jury cleared him of all charges in his high-profile assault trial. Rocky, looking noticeably relieved, addressed the court and thanked everyone for “saving” his life.

The verdict came after just one day of deliberations, ending a legal battle that could have put the rapper behind bars for more than two decades.

The jury, composed of seven women and five men, found Rocky not guilty on two felony counts of assault with a firearm related to an alleged 2021 shooting involving his former friend Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli.

Throughout the trial, prosecutors argued that Rocky fired a gun during a heated confrontation, while his defense insisted the weapon in question was merely a prop used for a music video.

Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, declined a plea deal that would have included 180 days in jail, opting instead to take his chances in court. The trial lasted roughly three weeks and featured moments of drama, unexpected testimony and some humor as both sides tried to sway the jury.

During closing arguments, the prosecution insisted the case was simple, telling jurors that if they determined it wasn’t a prop gun, their decision should take “five minutes.”

“This case was really an easy case, not a complicated case, a very simple case…this is a five-minute verdict,” District Attorney Paul Bradley Przelomiec told the jury during closing arguments—and they obviously disagreed.

One glaring omission in the trial was the fact that neither the prosecution nor defense produced an actual gun as evidence, leaving the jury to weigh conflicting testimony without a physical weapon to inspect.

Rocky’s partner, Rihanna, attended much of the trial, and for the closing arguments, she brought their two young sons. She was also on deck when the verdicts were read.

The courtroom dynamic prompted a warning from prosecutors, who warned jurors not to let sympathy for the singer and her children influence their decision.

With his legal troubles behind him, Rocky will presumably turn his focus to his upcoming headlining set at Rolling Loud on March 15 in Inglewood, California.

Suge Knight Makes Bombshell Claims Involving Whitney Houston & 2Pac’s Deaths

On the heels of Suge Knight’s son issuing a challenge to Ray J to set up an organized fight, the former Death Row Records CEO has come forward with a new set of claims against the singer-turned-reality-tv-mogul.

In a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight made shocking allegations regarding Ray J and Snoop Dogg, implicating them in the deaths of Whitney Houston and 2Pac. Knight made the bombshell claims while addressing past rumors linking him to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ death.

“When it comes to the part where you talk about Left Eye had a problem and she died because of me, that’s a lie,” Suge Knight stated firmly.

Knight soon began hurling accusations against others, singling out Ray J for his alleged connection to Whitney Houston’s tragic passing. According to Knight, Houston had expressed deep distress before her death, though she never directly mentioned Ray J.

“She just used the term that Brandy’s little brother bringing me drugs and doing drugs with me,” he claimed. “Brandy’s little brother trying to kiss me and do drugs with me. Next thing you know, she’s dead.”

The most explosive claim of the interview came when Knight turned his attention to Snoop Dogg, asserting that the legendary rapper admitted to funding the murder of Tupac Shakur.

“You brag about all these phone calls recorded,” he said. “You brag about how Snoop tell you and told you he’s a part of the people who put bread to kill Pac.

Knight continued, “That’s why I say don’t mention 2Pac’s name in none of your interviews, because you f### with the m########### Snoop who said he had something to do with it.”

Knight made it clear that in his view, the deaths of both music icons—2Pac and Whitney Houston—were no accidents.

“Snoop was involved in killing Hip-Hop’s best all-time artist,” he alleged. “You was involved in killing the best female vocalist that ever did it, Whitney Houston.”

Knight ended his tirade by calling out Ray J’s motivations for staying in the limelight.

“To get your ratings to go up for Love & Hip Hop or whatever the f### that is, talk about that,” he said, suggesting that Ray J was capitalizing on controversy for relevancy. “That alone speaks volumes.”

EXCLUSIVE: Kay Flock Could Get Life Thanks To Rap Lyrics About Opps

Kay Flock could spend the rest of his life behind bars if federal prosecutors get their way, arguing that the Bronx drill rapper’s lyrics serve as a confession to murder and gang activity.

Government attorneys submitted court filings aiming to introduce Kay Flock’s music videos and lyrics as evidence in his upcoming trial.

The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Kevin Perez, faces federal RICO charges, including racketeering conspiracy and murder in aid of racketeering, after prosecutors linked him to the Bronx-based Sev Side/DOA gang.

Authorities allege he played a central role in a December 2021 shooting that left Hwascar “OY Wasca” Hernandez dead, and they insist his drill rap lyrics aren’t just art but boast of real-life crimes.

“The limited number of rap videos the Government seeks to admit directly relate to the charged racketeering enterprise and to specific crimes or predicate acts charged in the Indictment—indeed, in those videos, Perez describes his involvement in specific acts of violence,” explained Acting United States Attorney, Matthew Podolsky.

Kay Flock’s defense team argues that using rap lyrics as criminal evidence is a dangerous precedent—one they say unfairly targets Hip-Hop artists, particularly Black and Latino rappers.

His lawyers insist that drill music, with its gritty storytelling, often blurs the line between reality and artistic exaggeration.

His songs, they say, are no different than violent films or crime novels, never meant to be taken as autobiographical.

Prosecutors, however, claim that in the drill rap world, rappers enhance their street credibility by recounting actual acts of violence, sparking a cycle of retaliation.

“Committing a shooting makes a subsequent rap song about that very shooting more ‘authentic,’ and thereby raises the status of the rapper,” Podolsky added. “The boasting feeds a cycle of back-and-forth violence.”

Authorities say music videos posted on YouTube and social media show Kay Flock flashing gang hand signs, taunting rivals, and describing shootings tied to his alleged gang’s operations.

One video in particular, “Who Really Bugging,” is cited as evidence, with lyrics prosecutors claim directly reference a shooting carried out alongside fellow gang members.

Kay Flock was first arrested in December 2021 on a first-degree murder charge connected to the fatal shooting of Hernandez. His lawyer maintains the incident was an act of self-defense.

The charges against him escalated on February 23, 2023, when he was federally indicted along with seven other alleged gang members, accused of participating in at least seven Bronx shootings from June 2020 to February 2022.

If convicted, Kay Flock faces a mandatory life sentence. His case joins a growing legal battle over whether rap lyrics should be admissible in court.

Advocacy groups argue that prosecutors frequently weaponize Hip-Hop lyrics against artists while disregarding the fictional nature of the genre.

Legal experts also point out that other creative industries—like film, literature, and television—are rarely scrutinized in the same way.

Azealia Banks Crowns Drake G.O.A.T. Rapper Over JAY-Z—Thinks Kendrick Lamar Is Corporate Pawn

Azealia Banks has pegged down both Kendrick Lamar and JAY-Z while uplifting Drake in her latest lengthy Twitter rant.

The controversial New York-bred rapper has once again stirred the pot with her unfiltered opinions, this time weighing in on Drake’s legal battle against Universal Music Group (UMG) over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”

Responding to a fan’s criticism of Drake taking legal action, Banks not only defended the Toronto rapper but also went as far as crowning him the greatest rapper of all time—surpassing even JAY-Z. As if the hot take wasn’t eyebrow raising enough, the logic behind Banks’ argument surely is, as she starts off the rant by claiming that Drake is indeed much tougher than the “street” rappers he’s beefing with.

“Well, the fact that all the rest of the so-called gangsta n##### who have been f##### by the industry in every hole and tossed off a bridge would never have the financial resources, leverage, or balls to sue UMG for fear of being killed, but have no problem killing one another, ultimately makes Drake the best rapper of all time,” Banks wrote.

Banks emphasized that not even JAY-Z, who has become a legal juggernaut and is in the midst of suing attorney Tony Buzbee over the recently dismissed Jane Doe sexual assault lawsuit, has ever made such a grand legal move.

“Not even JAY-Z is bold enough to sue UMG/SONY and I’m sure he’s definitely been f##### with,” she wrote.

She even alleged that JAY-Z isn’t powerful enough to make his own voice heard, so he empowers Beyoncé and Super Bowl halftime performer Kendrick Lamar to do so on his behalf.

“JAY-Z isn’t bold enough to tell them crackers at the NFL how he really feels, so he sends Beyoncé in Black Panther outfits and Kendrick with his typical angry Black struggle epithets out to do it for him,” she wrote.

According to Banks, JAY-Z craves white acceptance, while Drake, being of both Jewish and Black descent, doesn’t seek validation from the industry elite.

“On this day, February 18, 2025, I hereby declare Sir Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham the best rapper of all time,” she wrote. “He’s fighting the real enemy, not sabotaging other artists and trying to destroy another Black person during Black History Month.”

Banks also went after Kendrick Lamar, claiming that his involvement in the beef was orchestrated by higher industry forces.

“Kendrick got used as a pawn, made the biggest night of an artist’s career about another n####, and will forever have his global notoriety perpetually dwindle down to ‘the rapper who beefed with Drake’,” she wrote.

She argued that Lamar’s career is being diminished by the ongoing feud, especially in the digital landscape.

“100 years from now, with the amount of ‘Drake’ attached to SEO search query ‘Kendrick,’ Kendrick and all the people involved have forever tarnished his digital presence,” she wrote.

Banks also took issue with Kendrick’s allegations against Drake in “Not Like Us,” particularly any insinuations regarding inappropriate behavior.

“If there were actual proof of that, Drake would be investigated,” she wrote. “If Kendrick had proof, as the father and Black messiah he’s trying so desperately to portray himself as, he should’ve gone to the police. It’s completely inappropriate to make a joke regarding any instances of sexual abuse against children because it’s not a f###### laughing matter.”

She went on to question Kendrick Lamar’s independence, stating that despite the image of creative freedom, he still operates under major label control.

“pgLang isn’t a real thing,” she wrote. “If Kendrick were REALLY tough, he’d have released ‘Not Like Us’ through pgLang. He released it via Interscope because he KNEW pgLang doesn’t have the bread.”

Banks closed her rant by suggesting that Kendrick’s legacy is being swallowed by Drake’s cultural dominance.

“They are only hurting Kendrick, erasing the decades of work he’s put in, and making him Plankton in Drake’s SpongeBob SquarePants,” she wrote before signing off, “Keep it up, guys.”

Banks latest rant follows her spicy exchange with Top Dawg Entertainment President Terrence “Punch” Henderson over Kendrick’s Lamar’s Super Bowl performance.

Comedian Godfrey Claims He Discovered “Uncle Phil” Actor Was Gay Due To His Hands

Comedian Godfrey has revealed how an encounter with the late James Avery led him to his theory about the decease actor’s sexual preference.

The outspoken comic has set the internet ablaze with his recent claims about Avery, who’s obviously best known for his fatherly role as “Uncle Phil” on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. During a candid discussion, Godfrey alleged that Avery was “gay as hell” and recalled a moment that made him realize it.

“I had to do audience coordinating for the Gospel Awards when I first started comedy in Chicago,” Godfrey explained. “Behind the scenes, James Avery was there. Mike Tyson, Farrakhan, everybody was there.”

Godfrey went on to describe the atmosphere backstage, claiming that many of the gospel performers were “getting very gay” and that Avery stood out in particular.

“I saw him, he was flamboyant,” he said. “I was like, ‘this Uncle Phil? Uncle Phil is Aunt Phil?’”

The comedian continued by describing Avery’s mannerisms with his hands.

“He was like, ‘Girl,’” he said, adding that he was shocked to see the actor’s more feminine side. “He was such a great actor. You would never know.”

Avery’s alleged sexuality was not the only revelation in Godfrey’s discussion. He also claimed that other notable actors and musicians from past generations, including Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson, were secretly part of the LGBTQ+ community.

While Godfrey being one of the more notable public figures to speculate about Avery’s sexuality, he isn’t the only individual who has taken to the rumor in recent years. Last year, a number of users on Twitter defended Avery against allegations that he was secretly a closeted man, dispelling the rumors as completely fabricated.

“Did they just say James Avery is gay and went with it??? Looooooooool this man played a gay role as a guest on greys anatomy now you put it on him?? This is crazy,” a user wrote in a tweet last April.

James Avery, beloved for his role as the strict but loving father figure on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, passed away on December 31, 2013, due to complications from open-heart surgery. He was 68 years old. Watch the clip from the interview in the post above.
