50 Cent Accused Of Bloodying Woman’s Face After Throwing Mic From The Stage

A number of concerts this year have seen incidents involving fans or artists throwing items during the performance. 50 Cent became the latest celebrity to hurl something from the stage.

Footage of 50 Cent performing “Toot It And Boot It (Remix)” alongside Los Angeles rapper YG began spreading across the internet. At one point, 50 tosses a microphone in the direction of the audience.

According to reports, the mic throw injured radio personality Bryhana Monegain. Photos of the Power 106 host show her with a bloody face and a wound on her forehead.

50 Cent hasn’t publicly addressed the situation as of press time, however, the G-Unit leader did post about the Los Angeles stop of his The Final Lap Tour on social media.

“My LA show was SIRE approved, he said, ‘Man, that was crazy!’ My little man could feel the love,” 50 Cent tweeted at 4:36 am ET. (Sire Jackson is the rapper/entrepreneur’s 10-year-old son with Daphne Joy.)

In July, fellow New York City-bred rap superstar Cardi B became a trending topic after she threw a microphone at a concertgoer in Las Vegas. Local police reportedly investigated the situation and chose not to charge the Invasion of Privacy rapper.

Kodak Black Says Jackboy’s Street Credit Is Fradulent

Things aren’t what they seem concerning Jackboy’s rap sheet—according to Kodak Black.

Kodak has called out his former artist once again, this time claiming that his entire persona is actually fabricated. While Jackboy was on Instagram Live recently, Kodak decided to jump in the comments and air out his friend-turned-foe’s past legal issues.

“You stole outta Sports Authority and went to Julie came home a gangster,” Kodak wrote in a comment followed by, “I made you.” Jackboy seemingly found the sneak diss to be comical and even pinned one of Kodak’s comments.

The beef between Kodak Black and Jackboy has been brewing for years, with one of the main reference points for the feud being a similar situation on Instagram Live. In August 2021 the pair of rappers got into a heated argument on live during which Jackboy alleged he beat down Kodak while rapping one of his songs to him.

Whether any of this is true, I’m sure we will never know. No matter the case, this is yet another rumor that Jacckboy will possibly have to battle—even though he has his hands full already tussling with the Bandman Kevo BBL muscles gossip.

Vic Mensa Addresses Pinkydoll Skin Lightening Accusations

Canadian TikToker Pinkydoll recently found herself in an online controversy about colorism and now, Vic Mensa has added his own thoughts to the conversation.

Social media users accused Pinkydoll of purposely lightening her skin during livestreams after she appeared darker during an appearance at the 2023 Streamy Awards. The internet personality addressed the accusations earlier this week.

“When I go to the sun, I can get a little darker,” Pinkydoll told a TMZ paparazzo. “It’s life, what can I do? And I love to be a Black woman, f### you mean? I think they’re just hating. It’s hate.”

Vic Mensa, a biracial rapper, addressed the topic of skin color insecurities in his “Blue Eyes.” song. TMZ also recently spoke to the Roc Nation-backed performer specifically about the backlash directed at Pinkydoll.

“I think it’s a deeper issue than a person,” Mensa said. “The aspiration to a European beauty standard influences people to think that they have to be of a lighter complexion to be viewed as beautiful, to view themselves as beautiful.”

Vic Mensa continued, “At the end of the day- we as Black people and people of color across the planet – we have to learn to love ourselves and our natural beauty and lean away from those things. I won’t chastise anybody doing it because it doesn’t start or end with this person that you mentioned.”

Mensa went on to say that the idea of colorism has been programmed into the Black community by centuries of oppression. The outspoken social activist ended the interview by saying, “I think [Pinkydoll] is beautiful just the way she is. To anybody that might see this or see that, recognize your beauty the way that you are.”

A new album titled Victor by Vic Mensa will hit DSPs on September 15. The forthcoming project joins a discography that already includes 2017’s The Autobiography studio LP as well as EPs like 2016’s There’s Alot Going On.

Director Allen Hughes Explains Why He Saw 2Pac As Delusional

Veteran filmmaker Allen Hughes was behind the camera for FX’s Dear Mama. The five-part documentary explored the relationship between Hip-Hop icon Tupac “2Pac” Shakur and his mother Afeni Shakur.

Allen Hughes served as Dear Mama‘s executive producer, writer and director. While both 2Pac and Afeni Shakur passed away, the Shakur Estate approved the docuseries and provided the production with access to Pac’s creative work.

In a new interview with Spin magazine, Allen Hughes reflected on his experience filming Dear Mama. The creative force behind motion pictures such as Menace II Society and Dead Presidents also gave his own interpretation of 2Pac’s artistry.

“The thing that I discovered on Dear Mama was he truly is an artist. He’s a poet. He don’t see the world the way normal people see the world. He don’t see danger the way normal people see danger,” offered Hughes about 2Pac.

In addition, he said, “I got in trouble with the [Shakur] family when I said this, but pure artists are delusional. Yeah. That’s part of what makes them great artists: they’re delusional. They’re sharing their delusions with us. But they don’t think they’re delusions: it’s real to them.”

“So they don’t see the reality of things. They see the dream of it all. They’re living in a dream. That’s part of what made him so special. Tupac was subjecting us to his fantasies, but they weren’t fantasies to him,” stated Allen Hughes.

Dear Mama received two nominations for the upcoming 75th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards – Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Writing For A Nonfiction Program. Allen Hughes was recognized in both categories.

Russ Claims “Corrupt Corporations” Are Sabotaging Him

Rapper/producer Russ dropped his Santiago album on August 18. The reported first-week sales for the studio LP have the 30-year-old Diemon collective member blasting the music industry.

Santiago debuted at No. 12 on the latest Billboard 200 chart by amassing 42,000 units in its opening week of release. Russ took to the X platform to present unverifiable theories about why the project did not cross the 50K mark.

Billboard & Luminate took away ANOTHER 4,000 of my REAL sales over the weekend making that 10,000 sales total they took away from me,” tweeted Russ, currently an independent artist, on August 28.

He added, “While allowing major labels to fake their streams and sales and do monopolistic merch bundles (only major labels are allowed to do merch bundles because the only approved vendor is a major label vendor). These numbers and charts are made up. The impact however is not.”

Russ returned to the social media app on August 30 to share more of his thoughts on the topic. The “Fraud” performer suggested corporate interests are conspiring to damage his music career.

“I dedicated my life to music and spreading a message and corrupt corporations are stealing and sabotaging from me and I’m supposed to shut up because overall my life is good?” posted Russ. “Y’all can tuck your tail if you want. I’m not. I’m speaking up for the artists who can’t.”

Previously, Russ made it into the Billboard 200’s Top 10 region three times. 2017’s There’s Really a Wolf peaked at No. 7. He also scored two No. 4 albums with Zoo in 2018 and Shake the Snow Globe in 2020. All of those studio LPs came out via Columbia Records.

Big Daddy Kane In Heated Altercation With U.K. Rapper Who Invaded His Stage

Big Daddy Kane did not back down when an uninvited guest interrupted his performance in London over the weekend, almost coming to blows with the man.

The Hip-Hop icon was headlining a Hip-Hop 50 celebration concert at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town when a masked man strolled onto the stage from behind Kane and stood in front of the audience.

The New Yorker ignored the interruption initially and continued rapping for some time. However after a while he cut the music and addressed the stage invader.

“You’re doing too much playboy,” Big Daddy Kane said as the masked man walked to the rear of the stage. “I need the stage, you’re doing too much.”

However, the man, later identified as U.K. rapper Kamanchi Sly of the rap group Hijack, refused to budge. He remained on stage and defiantly shook his head even as security approached. Sly continued to protest despite Big Daddy Kane attempting to gently usher him off stage.

“That ain’t my f#####’ problem,” Kane responded when the man said something about being treated unfairly. This quickly escalated when it became clear Kamanchi Sly wasn’t listening to him, with Big Daddy Kane removing his jacket to get down to business.

Fortunately, Sly was escorted off stage before any blows were thrown. Check out the video below.

Shortly after the altercation, Kamanchi Sly took to Instagram to explain his actions. He claimed his beef was not with Big Daddy Kane but with event organizers. According to Sly, their set kept getting pushed back, and he just wanted to let Hijack fans know they were in the building.

“HIJACK WILL ALWAYS STAND FIRM!!” Sly penned in the caption. “STAND FOR SOMETHING OR FALL FOR ANYTHING!”

Alongside The Weeknd, Diddy also tapped the likes of Mary J. Blige, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, Babyface, Justin Bieber and many more to appear on the album.

The Weeknd previewed his single during a performance in Poland, although he didn’t mention Diddy.

“I just want to say: This is going to be the last feature I ever do ever in my career,” he told the crowd. “So I’m going to perform it for you guys tonight.”

Nonetheless, there is hope for one more feature from The Weeknd, as he recently revealed, calling his Diddy collab “the final feature… unless daft punk ever get back together.”

Nicki Minaj Responds To Accusation She Overlooks Her Female Fans With Surprise Competition For The Barbz

Like any global superstar musician, Nicki Minaj has her own loyal base of fans, superfans and stans.

The NYC icon’s loyal fanatics are branded The Barbz, and members regularly go to bat for their idol online. However, the love goes both ways, with Nicki Minaj showing love to her devoted cohorts, following them on social media and adding them to live chats, among other privileges.

So, when she was accused of neglecting female Barbz on Tuesday (August 30), Nicki Minaj immediately sprang into action.

“Shout out to the women Barbz in this fanbase,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). I feel like we often get overlooked in this fanbase.”

Nicki Minaj Issues Competition For The Barbz

Nicki Minaj responded with “Could never. Would never. Ever!!!” before issuing a competition for five women from The Barbz to come and hang out with her. For fans who don’t qualify, the “Pound Town” hitmaker also promised special gifts.

“Use the #LastTimeISawYou hashtag & post the last photo or tour video you have,” she added. “If you don’t have that, tell me why I should choose you. Love you Love you Love you.”

In a follow-up post, Minaj offered to fly out the lucky fans to come and hang out with her. She asked The Barbz to answer a series of questions to determine who to select.

“1. Are you a woman barb?,” she began. “2. Have I ever met you? 3. What country do you currently live? 4. How long would the flight to LA be? 5. Would you be able to fly out tmrw or following day? 6. Do I currently follow you on TWITTER?”

The Barbz flooded the responses with entries coming from female fans across the globe. However, Nicki Minaj spared no expense and offered to fly fans in if they could arrive quickly enough.

“How long would the flight be? What day would u be able to fly out?” she asked a Brazilian fan.

Irv Gotti Claims Jay-Z Axed Album With DMX and Ja Rule Because He Only Works With Artists Who “Worship” Him

Irv Gotti has opened up about the legendary album that never was from Jay-Z, DMX, and Ja Rule as rap supergroup Murder Inc.

While the trio recorded several singles back in the 90s, the mythical album never came to fruition. According to Irv Gotti on his recent Drink Champs appearance, Hov put the brakes on the project over fears of potentially being out-rapped by his peers.

He claimed that despite trying multiple times to make the album happen, Jay-Z wasn’t interested.

“It’s just my opinion, but I don’t think that Jay wanted to get in the room with X and Ja,” Gotti explained. “Jay is a very smart person,” he said, claiming that the Roc Nation honcho only works with artists who “worship” him.

“X and Ja don’t worship Jay-Z,” he added. “[It’s like] you’re my man, but when that beat comes on you’re not above me gettin’ at you.”

However, Irv Gotti insisted there was no beef, it was just friendly competition between rappers.

“Do I want to make a whole album with these n##### coming at me?” he added. “And if I’m Jay-Z, there’s a slight chance that, what is n##### gonna say I’m not the nicest n####? Where’s my win? The only thing I’m seeing with this is potential loss.” Check out the clip below and watch the episode here.

Jay-Z On Murder Inc. Supergroup

Jay-Z also addressed the supergroup in the premiere episode of the new Murder Inc. BET documentary, which aired earlier this month.

“I think it was everyone’s ambition and everyone’s ego,” Jay-Z said. “It was just three guys, three independent labels, three Black men who are all fighting to be the best in the world.”

Hov added: “Me and X had like a thing. He was always super competitive with me. I was super competitive at that time as well. Ja was just happy to be in the room at the time he hadn’t become the Ja Rule that we all come to know and love.”

Ma$e Settles Feud With Diddy: “He Just Got His Publishing Back From Puff,” Says Cam’ron

The long-running feud between Ma$e and Diddy is finally over, according to Cam’ron, who claims the Bad Boy Records founder and his former artist settled their dispute over publishing rights.

The Dipset representative shared the good news while announcing his upcoming album, The Lost Files Vol. 1. Cam’ron claims his It Is What It Is co-host is sorting out his musical affairs and couldn’t be on the project.

“My n#### murder had to sit this one out,” Cam’ron wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday (August 30). “He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday.”

He congratulated Ma$e and teased a possible musical reunion following his next album.

“While he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause,” he added. “The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

The Feud Between Diddy And Ma$e

Ma$e became one of the biggest rap stars of the 90s during his time signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy label. His 1997 album Harlem World became a massive hit and was nominated for a Grammy. The 4x-Platinum project also hosted the Hot 100 Top. 10 singles, “Feel So Good,” “What You Want” featuring Total, and “Lookin’ At Me” featuring Puff Daddy.

However, despite being one of Bad Boy’s biggest stars, Ma$e left the label when he became unhappy with how business was handled. Things remained somewhat amicable until the 2020 Grammys when Diddy received the Icon Award.

Ma$e called out his former label boss and accused him of holding his publishing hostage. He claimed Diddy bought the rights for “about 20k,” but rejected Ma$e’s $2 million offer to buy back his masters.

The Hip-Hop mogul fired back during an appearance on The Breakfast Club in October 2022. Diddy alleged that Ma$e owes him $3 million for an album advance that was never delivered on.

“That’s facts, I got the receipts,” Diddy said before adding, I’m not gonna go back and forth with Ma$e. I’m not going back and forth with nobody. I’m just gonna speak up for myself now.”

Is The Hot Boy B.G. About to Be Out Of Prison This Week?

Here we go again!

The Baby Gangsta is about to break the chains of oppression, per a new report by theJasmineBrand. B.G. signed with Cash Money Records in the early 90s and started cooking heat. By ’97, the Hot Boys were a sensation that included the likes of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and Turk. By 2001, the money got funny and the team split up.

On December 7, 2011, B.G. pled guilty to two counts of firearm possession and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. As a result, in July 2012, he was handed a 14-year prison sentence and an additional three years of federal supervision following his release. For the past few years, we have had pump-fake after pump fake that he’s getting out. Is this the truth? I guess we’ll see.

But the word is, he’s entering into a new phase of life. These sources say B.G. will be making his return to the world outside prison walls within the upcoming days. THIS WEEK. The plans for his immediate future remain uncertain, but music enthusiasts might have something to look forward to – it’s not uncommon for rappers to drop songs shortly after their release from incarceration. I don’t know about that with B.G. It has literally been forever and a day! I wish him well if he does come out, because a lot has changed.

Until then, lets listen to “Bling Bling.”

D.C. Rapper Taliban Glizzy One Of 16 Indicted In Multi-State Robbery Spree

Washington D.C. rapper Taliban Glizzy was among 16 defendants named in an indictment unsealed by federal authorities on Wednesday (August 30). According to the Daily Voice, the defendants stand accused of robbing at least nine jewelry stores as far south as Florida over the course of a year. Most were family-owned and operated, including Paradise Jewelry Store in Paterson, Virani Jewelers in Iselin and Chintamanis Inc. in Franklin Park.

FBI agent James Dennehy explained, “Those charged “took part in take-over style armed robberies meant to terrify and overwhelm store owners and employees. They gave no thought to the people who could have been seriously injured or even killed.”

Taliban Glizzy and his co-defendants also “committed multiple armed carjackings, armed robberies, money laundering and firearms offenses” in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida, according to a release issued by the office of U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew M. Graves.

The release reads in part, “Disguised in dark clothing, masks, and gloves, armed with a gun, one or more of the defendants used various vehicles, including stolen vehicles, to commit and flee from the robberies.”

Glizzy, in particular, is also accused of conspiring to launder the proceeds of the holdups. As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, the rapper was arrested last December following more than a year of surveillance.

A previously convicted felon, Glizzy allegedly left five guns in a Lyft, including two AR-15-styled rifles, a semiautomatic Ruger and Glock-styled ghost gun. Federal agents also seized diamond earrings, a Rolex watch and more than $17,000 that Glizzy happened to be carrying at the time.

Glizzy is facing charges of conspiracy to interfere with interstate commerce (known as Hobbs Act) robbery, interference with interstate commerce by robbery, using a firearm in a violent crime, conspiracy to commit carjacking, and money laundering conspiracy.

Logic Clowns People Who Thought Edited Photo Of Him Was Real

Logic laughed after seeing a photoshopped image of himself go viral. The former Def Jam artist mocked social media users who did not realize the photo was doctored on Wednesday (August 30).

“I’m literally dying at all the people that are so f###### stupid that they think this is real,” Logic said in a brief clip. “You guys are f######—so stupid.”

The rapper shared his altered selfie, which made him look like he gained weight, via Instagram on Monday (August 29). The Twitter/X account Drama Alert reposted the image the same day with the post receiving more than 14 million views. The post was eventually tagged to note the photo was edited.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cwk7E1Tq0Rx/?hl=en

Logic went viral a month after selling his music catalog to Influence Media. The platform previously acquired much of Future’s publishing catalog in 2022.

“Making music has always been a creative outlet and a form of therapy for me, and I’ve been humbled by how deeply it has connected with people around the world,” Logic said. “It’s important to me that the positive messages of my music continue to reach new audiences, and I’m excited to partner with Rene [McLean] and the Influence Media Partners team to make a further impact through creativity.”

Earlier this year, Logic dropped his first independent album College Park. The project featured collaborations with RZA, Bun B, Redman, Joey Bada$$ and more.

Meet Lazaris, The Buzzing MC Out Of South Bronx

The Bronx is not only the birthplace of Hip-Hop, but home to a slew of buzzing and mainstream talent. Insert Lazaris, who’s here to prove why he’s one of the best to come out the city.

Lazaris is much more than just an MC or rapper, he’s a mogul, philanthropist, entrepreneur and humanitarian. Describing himself as “the savior of Hip-Hop in the Bronx,” the East Coast spitter prides himself in his cinematic, rapid-fire flow. And when it comes to his lyrics, you can always bet he’s rapping about something with substance.

His sound has been compared to the likes of Jadakiss, Big Pun, and Kool G Rap all wrapped into one. Having started rapping at the young age of eight, Lazaris was a part of the supergroup called The Army. To date, he’s worked with all the legendary producers including COD, Lord Finesse, The Beat Phonatic, and Da Inphamus Amadeuz.

Following a string of singles including “Somo Latino” and “Last Night,” Lazaris is currently working on his forthcoming album, slated to be released this winter.

AllHipHop spoke with Lazaris to discuss his roots in the Bronx, his name, new music, businesses and more!

AllHipHop: You’re from the Bronx where Hip-Hop was born. What was the moment you fell in love with Hip-Hop?

Lazaris: Ever since I was 8 years old, listening to all forms of music being played in my household. I come from a musical dynasty and family of legendary singers. My uncles, Aresino Rodriguez and Alfredo ‘Chocolate’ Almentros both have streets renamed after them in the Bronx and Harlem. The music they created broke the barriers of Afro-Congo Hip-Hop sounds. My mother used to play my uncles music and I got to hear it, this was around 1994/1995. That’s when I fell in love with music.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences?

Lazaris: Big Pun, Jadakiss, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, and Eminem.

AllHipHop: When did you first hear yourself on the radio?

Lazaris: When I was 15 years old, I made a song called The Don that got played on Hot 97 and it sent a shocking vibration to the South Bronx community that there was a new artist on the rise.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?

Lazaris: I come from a family of Dons, all I did was add the Top Don to my first name Lazaris to carry on the family tradition.

AllHipHop: What inspired “Last Night” featuring DeParris729?

Lazaris: That was a creative idea we had in the studio, we were reminiscing on the times we were outside performing at bars and clubs thinking, “how many people wonder how we made it home last night?” We decided to put out that real question as a song.

AllHipHop: What about “Somo Latino”?

Lazaris: This song is one of my most powerful songs ever created, we constructed this for the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop to represent our Latin culture and why we are part of Hip-Hop culture. I wanted to create a song showing Latin unity.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Lazaris:

  1. A great instrumental to get me in creative mode.
  1. Positive energy while I’m creating magic.
  2. Being in tune and having a bond with my recording engineer so they can match my work ethic, someone who knows my sound and voice tonality because I record and execute my songs fast.

AllHipHop: You’re an entrepreneur also. What businesses do you have?

Lazaris: I have a marketing company called Rich Family Marketing, LLC and I have a Record Label Called Top Don Empire. I also have my own publishing company as well.

AllHipHop: Best encounter you had with a fan?

Lazaris: At the Puerto Rican parade this year, I had a fan run over to me on the float and tell me that I give hope and inspiration to all the Latino contributors (in music and Hip-Hop), and as a Latino putting on for the Latin MCs.

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

Lazaris: Right now, the goal is to release multiple multi-Platinum projects from myself and my other artist on my imprint Top Don Empire.

Lil Xan Regrets 2Pac Comments But Says He Started Good Conversation In Hip-Hop

Lil Xan reflected on his past comments about Tupac Shakur in a chat with AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur. The platinum-selling rapper, who overcame drug addiction, admitted he was not doing well when he called Tupac’s music “boring” in an infamous 2018 interview.

“That interview should’ve never even been aired ‘cause I wasn’t in a good place during the interview,” Lil Xan told AllHipHop. “I was angry at that time. And all that came down to was a result of me just trying to get the interview done quicker. I was like, ‘Next question. Next question.’ And then they just give me questions and I’m messing around.”

He continued, “I think Tupac is a legend. I don’t have to explain myself to anybody, but I grew on a lot of old school West Coast, a lot of old school East Coast. But after that, that was just a little mishap. It was the result of me not being as mature as I am today, inexperienced with interviews a lot too.”

Years later, Lil Xan saw a silver lining in his controversial interview. He believed his youthful dismissiveness helped start an important conversation in Hip-Hop.

“If you would ask me if I could go back and rewrite that, I wouldn’t though,” he said. “Because what that did, now that I’m seeing it, it started an interesting conversation in Hip-Hop. I did get a lot of backlash, of course, but as the years have gone by since that moment, it started what I think is a very good conversation in Hip-Hop. Why do these new cats in Hip-Hop that weren’t even born when someone like Tupac was around, why do they have to idolize them like the older people?”

Lil Xan added, “They can appreciate the craft and the music. It’s good. It’s amazing. It’s better than good. But if you think about it like that, that’s some hating stuff right there.”

Check out AllHipHop’s interview with Lil Xan below.

Boosie Badazz Confirms He Took Daughter Out Of His Will Amid Family Drama

Boosie Badazz aired out more family drama after catching heat for dissing his daughter and baby mama on the song “Ungrateful.” The controversial rapper defended the track while streaming on Instagram Live.

“They just mad right now because I said some truthful things about her mother,” he said. “They mad. Everything I said was the truth … I told not one lie. Not one! One thing I ain’t gon’ do is lie. I told not one lie. What I said her mama did, she did. Ask her … And she probably—she mad about her brother. He playing spades with Tupac right now.”

Boosie’s song “Ungrateful” appeared on his latest album Goin Thru Some Thangs, which dropped on August 15. The track gained traction on social media after he dropped a music video for it.

“Baby mama, she done hit me with the child support/Ol’ dirty-ass b#### ’bout to lie in court/Well, that AMG Benz I’ma need that back/Won’t play it like that, you ain’t ’bout to keep that/Guess the b#### still mad ’cause her brother got whacked/This the same n#### f##### your little sister in the cat/You sucked Bleek dick while I f##### you from the back/You ain’t never been s### but a f###### hood rat/Your ungrateful ass,” he rapped on the song.

Boosie also mentioned cutting off his daughter for life on “Ungrateful.” The Baton Rouge native revealed he removed her from his will on Instagram Live.

“The level of disrespect she got?” he said. “It ain’t would, I did take her out my will. I did! I did! It has been done. I did whatever to raise that child right. Tried everything. The disrespect you have for your daddy? You ain’t gon’ get nothing when I leave here.”

Boosie’s daughter Torianna Hatch criticized him after the release of “Ungrateful.” Hatch admitted she wished her father was in jail.

Hatch played audio of a heated argument between her father and mother in which Boosie threatened to blacken his daughter’s eyes. Boosie stood by his comments.

“I told her I was going to black her eye out three or four times,” he said. “Hopefully, I instilled some fear in her. Look like it ain’t work.”

John Mellencamp Has One Big Problem With Rappers

John Mellencamp believes rappers should stop using the “N-word” in their songs, claiming it is a slap in the face to the freedom fighters who laid their lives down for Black people to enjoy their constitutionally granted civil rights. In a recent interview on the Bill Maher “Club Random” podcast, he said he’s been calling for it since the early 2000s.

“Me and Chuck D did a song 20 years ago,” he said. “We were talking about the ‘N-word.’ We were talking about how it’s not supposed to be used. That’s what I have against—not against, but why I’m not a big fan of rap music. You guys are selling out what the people stood up for and fought for, and you’re making money off of it selling it to white kids? I don’t like it.

“And so Chuck D and I did a song. I wrote the song and then he rapped in the middle of it, and he just said, ‘Die, N-word, die.’ That’s right.’”

John Mellencamp and Maher continued to go back and forth regarding racism and whether the conditions of Blacks in the nation had gotten any better.

While Maher insisted that things have gotten better, Mellencamp said he believes it hasn’t and that his son, who has a Black friend who was beaten down because of his race, is only one example of how unfair life still hard for people of color.

Coi Leray Throws Jab At Latto On “Isabel Marant” Single

Coi Leray reignited her issues with Latto on the new EP Blue Moon, which dropped on Wednesday (August 30). The Republic Records artist took a shot at Latto and ex-boyfriend Trippie Reed on the single “Isabel Marant.”

“Yeah, I’m on they a##/Hop out on that couch and roll up Latto out the bag/I don’t need a stylist, they can’t f### with Coi Leray/Try to count me out and now I’m big as Trippie Redd,” she rapped.

Earlier this year, Latto’s song “Put It On Da Floor” upset Coi Leray. Latto’s “smoking on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray” lyric did not sit well with the 26-year-old rapper, who lashed out on social media in April.

“Latto bye,” Coi Leray wrote on Twitter. “here you go taking about my body. Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously. Out of all things. Lmaooo ya blunt my size? Lmaooo this s### is never ending.”

She added, “These b###### wanna be like the n##### so bad. Y’all wanna have rap beef SOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Anybody that talk about my body wants MY BODY!!!!!!!!!!!! Like real badddddd.”

Not long after the outburst, Coi Leray said she may have overreacted. She still disliked her name getting referenced on a song for “clicks and likes.”

“Mention b#tches you actually beef with,” she wrote. “Put it on the floor but leave me out of the bs.”

Latto and Coi Leray seemingly settled their problems a few days later, but the latter reiterated her frustration with the “Put It On Da Floor” lyric in a June interview with Apple Music.

“We’re not smoking on anything, it’s disrespect,” she said. “And where I come from I just don’t like that. And as a human being, I have every right to stay how I feel.”

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, Trump was the first president to formally pose for a mugshot after being arrested for trying to overturn the election in Georgia. Trump later posted his mugshot on his social media, stating, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE! NEVER SURRENDER! I walked into the lion’s den with one simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER OUR MISSION TO SAVE AMERICA.”

Trump also asked people to give money to his upcoming presidential run, adding people should give “to evict Crooked Joe Biden” and “SAVE AMERICA.” He reportedly collected millions.

Dr. Dre & Jimmy Iovine Create Magnet Program At Atlanta’s Frederick Douglass High School

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have partnered to give back to children in Atlanta. According to Atlanta News First, the two music industry executives linked with Dallas Austin to bring an Innovational Learning Center to Frederick Douglass High School. The program, which is called the “Iovine and Young Center,” offers the students a different learning model where they can focus on technology and leadership. Both Dr. Dre and Iovine introduced the program on Tuesday (August 29).

Students will be able to enroll in the program next school year. Caleb Mitchell, a sophomore, said he hopes to sign up in 2024, saying, “I think it will help bring out [the] potential of students and help them engage more… I think this will provide more opportunities for us.”

Iovine spoke at length about the incentive to create an alternative model of learning to these young people. He said they all have “superpowers” that need activation.

“We believe we’re going to give these kids an advantage, a different type of education,” he said. “So, you all can sell these kids, go out there and say you want these kids. Because the modern job needs these kids. That’s why.”

The Frederick Douglass High School, which counts Killer Mike, Kilo Ali, Lil Jon, T.I. and former mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms as distinguished alum, will be the second high school Dre and Iovine have invested in over the years.

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, they created a magnet program within Compton High School in 2022. Dr. Dre personally dished out $10 million of his own money to help fund the $200 million renovation the campus.

“Me and Dre think big,” Iovine added. “We think everybody in the world’s going to learn like this well, maybe! We never thought everybody in the world would wear our headphones, but they did.”
