In the wake of the tragic passing of Migos member Takeoff, there has been a lot of conversation about violence in the Hip Hop community. Atlanta star LaKeith Stanfield shared his thoughts about the “toxicity” in Hip Hop culture.
“If you are for gangster rap you can’t also be for Black,” posted LaKeith Stanfield to his Instagram page on Monday. The San Bernardino-born entertainer then wrote a lengthy caption further explaining his point of view.
Stanfield added, “The dangerous toxicity associated with this glorified black serial killer and killed music and imagery got people thinking it’s cool to hurt those that look like them and ONLY them.”
He continued, “It’s ok to embrace the realities of life in the harder areas but let’s think about NOT holding up this behavior in our circles. Let’s make it cool to embrace life, travel, and learn new things!”
LaKeith Stanfield Tells His Followers To “Turn That Stupid S### Off”
According to reports, a gunman killed Takeoff on November 1 in Houston, Texas. The rapper born Kirshnik Khari Ball was 28 years old at the time of his death. Local police are still investigating the shooting.
Takeoff was the latest rapper to lose his life from gun violence. Over the last twelve months, several other Hip Hop recording artists – such as Young Dolph, Trouble, and PnB Rock – lost their lives at the hands of a shooter.
“I know that the scope of issues we have to contend with is much larger than just this and that we have a lot of work to do in many areas to restore our hearts and minds after centuries of persecution and manipulation, but we have to start somewhere,” wrote LaKeith Stanfield. “At some level, we have to see our lives as valuable so that we think before we react and see another human when we look at a Human man.”
Stanfield concluded, “We must stop holding self-destructive s### up and embrace things that build us a whole so that we can lead the world in the direction of prosperity by example. Getting reckless now and again is part of who we are but for the most part… Turn that stupid s### off.”
In addition to appearing on the FX series Atlanta, LaKeith Stanfield also acted in films like Selma, Straight Outta Compton, Sorry to Bother You, Get Out, and The Harder They Fall. He earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his role in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Public Enemy legend Chuck D says Hip-Hop needs to do more to address senseless gun violence in the wake of Migos rapper Takeoff being gunned down in Houston.
The fatal shooting sent shockwaves through the industry as fans and peersshared their grief over the rapper’s tragic passing. According to Chuck D, such loss has become “normalized,” despite being “abnormal behavior.”
During an interview with TMZ on Tuesday (Nov. 1) the rap icon said hip-Hop has ignored the problem of gun violence for “far too long,” adding that it’s “crazy how folks think it’s normal to lose rappers to gun violence.”
“It’s not normal behavior, it’s just not normal and what the circumstances in the United States of America is just dealing with abnormal situations that people think, you know, through culture, it’s been normalized over the years,” he said.
Chuck D continued, “It is a tragedy, and the pain is unbearable…The peace, unity, love aspect of Hip-Hop should be revered.”
He went on to say the “industry” is to blame for “normalizing” this sort of behavior.
“It’s a tragedy and I think that in any other walk of life it would have been addressed far earlier on how to prevent this before it became a thing that people thought is normal,” Chuck D said. “You have people who’ve grown up thinking that hip-hop death is a normal thing.”
Houston Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after Takeoff was fatally shot early Tuesday morning. He was attending a dice game at a bowling alley with his uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo when an altercation led to gunfire. The 28-year-old rapper was pronounced dead at the scene.
Westside Gunn has opened up on Conway The Machine parting ways with Griselda records after his brother left the outfit earlier this year.
In February, Conway confirmed that he had fulfilled his contracts with Griselda and Shady Records stating, “It’s free agency right now.” A month later, the “Stressed” rapper addressed his departure during a Breakfast Club appearance. He revealed while he fulfilled his Griselda contract, it was never in his favor. However, he admitted neglecting to read the contact’s fine print.
“When we did that s### in the beginning, I really wasn’t all the way… I’mma keep it a buck. I didn’t even read that contract, bro,” Conway said in March. “I didn’t read that s###—I just signed that s### and moved on. Unfortunately, the contract wasn’t in my favor. So now, going forward, it’s time to redo all that. I gotta make sure it’s in my favor now.”
Nonetheless according to Westside Gunn, any financial disagreements he and Conway had are behind them now.
“That’s my brother,” Gunn explained in a new interview with Rolling Stone. “That fool’s son is my nephew. If you ask that man now if I owe him a penny…that s### got twisted and screwed up. They tried to blow it out of proportion like I robbed my brother. And what he was saying was he never read the contract, which he didn’t.”
“That’s my brother, but he can’t ever say I cheated on him,” Gunn continued. “That’s why you see, ain’t s### stop. We still been on tour since that came out, and we have done every festival since that came out. We’ve been on each other project’s since that came out. If somebody robbed you, why would you do that?”
WSG also expressed his support for Conway’s Drumwork Music Group. “My brother’s a grown man; he wants to be a boss and have his chapter. Why not?”
Gunn then suggested people “stay out of family business,” noting the brothers are now on good terms now.
“Family sometimes have disagreements,” Westside Gunn admitted. “The negative narrative, that’s what people love. That’s what they want. And I’m trying to tell people, put this s### in bold letters: it’s never happening. Griselda is forever, can’t be stopped.”
Last week, Westside Gunn dropped Ten, the final instalment in the Hitler Wears Hermes series. Stream it below.
There is an incredible rumor going on right now, suggesting that Young MA is pregnant.
There is nothing that is verifying that this is true. However, it certainly has the Internet space in an uproar. She is trending! This is not the first time that Young MA has had these types of rumors, as she addressed it last year. at that time, a rumor sparked by a shade room post, said that she definitely wants kids.
In looking around, I don’t see any true evidence that she’s actually pregnant, but the Internet actually tends to be correct quite a bit of the time. On Twitter, she has not updated in quite some time because that would be the first place you would look for someone to Dispute or dispel a lie.
And so, I go to her Instagram. And that has not been updated since late October. Now, we have nothing to go on. So, let’s just keep it right there. There’s a rumor that Young MA is pregnant and nobody has dispelled it.
Nobody credible, but people are saying is BS.
Young MA isn't pregnant y'all just be saying stuff
🙄*sigh once again YOUNG MA is trending not for her music but because some people find it really funny to spread pregnancy rumors about a masc presenting woman in order to humiliate her and "put her in her place" I suppose People are so f###### weird

The Migos member, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot outside a private party at a downtown Houston bowling alley around 2:35 on Tuesday morning. Takeoff was reportedly attending a dice game with his uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo.
Drake shared his own emotional message on Tuesday evening. In 2018, the Toronto native hit the road with Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset. The trio joined Drake for their Aubrey & the Three Migos world tour.
He took to Instagram posting an image of himself onstage with Takeoff with a heartfelt message.
“I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That’s what I’ll focus on for now 😔 rest easy space man Take 🚀” he penned in the caption.
Celebrities took to the comment section to share their grief, including DJ Khaled, Ty Dolla $ign, Winnie Harlow, and Druski.
Drake also shared a series of images of Takeoff on his Instagram Story. Among them, one of himself and Migos dressed in 70s gear. The photo was taken during the video shoot of the collaboration “Walk It Talk It.”

Victor llomuanya, better known as Ghxst Vic, is an old soul with a huge heart. Born in New Jersey in the ’90s, he never made a home in the United States until 2012. Ghxst Vic spent his early years, and the majority of his life exploring cultures across the globe. He spent his youth making noise as an athlete: playing a sport that was a passion to him but soon became a job.
As an early teen, he spent his time working on his production and songwriting craft but never saw himself on the other side of the booth. It’s his huge heart that contributed to his love of creating for others and seeing their success that kept him behind the boards.
Between Africa and Europe where he predominantly lived, he cultivated his own special sound, blending in afrobeat/hip-hop/RnB into a smooth lane of his own. Although he never delved into the music industry till 2022, he was surrounded by it. The pain of watching everyone else around him get their spotlight drove him away from music. Ghxst Vic never wanted handouts.
He wanted to earn his flowers. Even though he believed the music industry needed change as it was hurting by gang violence, and the glorification of illegalities in life, he decided he wanted to find a different path in life.
While completing his final year in college in 2018, Ghxst Vic created his first business which he never knew would propel him right back to the music industry. He launched his well-recognized luxury concierge business that provides the most luxurious experiences the world has to offer. He began serving the likes of top A-listers. It is your story of clients becoming friends, who become family. From exotic cars to jets, to models: if you needed it, he provided it!
In mid-2021, Ghxst Vic decided to get back into the studio as a passion, with no plans of releasing his music. After gracious feedback on projects he was working on, and seeing the continued rise and demise of artists, he believed it had become his mantle to carry. To pave a path where you do not need to be the hardest gang member to be the best artist. He began releasing his music which is taking social media by storm and growing an ever-emerging fan base.
Ghxst Vic is just getting started, but surely will be remembered. His story is still being written, and with the upcoming release of Baby Bump, you can guarantee eyes are on him.

“It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff,” the statement from QC began.
“Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated.
The heartfelt statement concluded: “Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss.” The message was captioned simply with a dove and broken heart emoji.
Meanwhile, QC CEO P Thomas stated Takeoff “definitely didn’t deserve to die at such a young age.”
He shared a photo of Takeoff on Instagram, explaining in the caption that he was at a loss for words.
“I don’t know where to begin but I want to say that anybody that knows me knows how much I love you and anybody that knows you knows that you definitely didn’t deserve to die at such a young age. We only get 1 life and once it’s gone it’s over, no coming back.”
P also shared a message to the community, asking for peace and an end to senseless violence. “I want our community to remember that we don’t have to continue to result to violence every time there is a disagreement. It’s ok to love your brother and sister. We all have been guilty of self hate but I pray this never ending cycle will some day change us all.”
The statement continued, “We have so many memories to keep your name alive. As we mourn your lost I pray that everyone please be understanding to what the family has to see on the internet with the videos and negative comments. This is somebody’s child. Let them get thru this process with peace and love. You came from the stars so I know you will forever be up there watching down on all of us. I will forever love you. 💔”

Troubled rapper Kanye West may lose everything important to him because of his antisemitic comments in the media.
He lost his billions. He lost his friends. Now, he might lose the opportunity to be in his children’s lives.
The artist, who has been in court fighting with his former wife, Kim Kardashian, over custody rights regarding their four children, took to his social media account and dropped a bomb that might either change his stance or make him dig his feet in more.
He posted on his Parler account, “On my last and final meeting with Bob Cohen, he told me ‘if I keep up antisemitic rhetoric, you’ll loose [sic] custody of your children.’ So let me get this straight If I complain about Jewish business practices it’s considered antisemitic. So, my custody lawyer was basically telling me if you complain about getting done wrong in business you will loose [sic] custody of your children, and this was the guy on my side.”
As reported by AllHipHop.com, two weeks ago, Ye’s Jewish lawyers Cohen and Bernard Clair from the prestigious New York Cohen Clair Lans Griefer Thorpe & Rottenstreich LLP parted ways over his comments about their people.

He continued, “Why the f###? That’s my brother, bro … I’m done, I’m done, I’m done! I can’t live like this no more.”
Desiigner’s grief overwhelmed him as he struggled to cope with the passing of Takeoff. The former G.O.O.D. Music artist also mentioned PnB Rock, who was murdered in September, in the heartbreaking clip.

Rapper Kanye West has been restricted on social media again, so one might wonder where he will go to clap back at his many critics. Parler.
He has taken to the social engagement platform to blast Stephen Jackson, one of George Floyd’s most famous supporters and friends.
Jackson stepped in to address Yeezy for his remarks about Floyd, saying that he was not murdered by former officer Derek Chauvin but that drugs played a part in his premature demise.
Because of these outlandish claims, fueled by Candace Owens, the multi-Grammy-winning artist is being sued for $250 million by the deceased’s daughter and her mother, Roxie Washington.
Ye has criticized the lawsuit, revealing he donated $2 million to Floyd’s daughter after her dad’s tragic death.
The former baller stepped in and stated the artist didn’t have all the facts. Out of the $2 million that was donated by West, only $250,000 came to the child.
Despite that, Jackson said the rapper has to “pay the consequences” for speaking ill on the dead.
Stephen Jackson calls out Kanye West after his comments to the mother of George Floyd’s daughter🎥
“First off, Roxanne could care less what you think about her hair, that’s number one,” he said out the gate. “We ain’t going to talk about that bulls##t you be wearing and marking it up for your own people to pay for.”
Jackson then directed everything to Kanye about talking about his friend. “You say stupid s##t, you get stupid prizes,” he said. “Nobody asked you to say nothing about George Floyd, but you decided to say that on your own. So you going to pay the consequences.”
“Roxy was minding her business, Gianna was minding their business,” Jackson continued before saying the family and the heirs are separate. He also called the “Jesus is King” rapper “delusional.”
“You didn’t give Gianna $2 million. She got 250,000 that they broke down through families,” Jackson corrected his assertion saying, “Roxanne is giving back to you.”
He ended his post by saying, “Every time you speak on Georgie, you gonna learn your lesson.”
Kanye responded on Parler, “My name is Ye Stephen I gave 2 million to the family Then Roxie threatened to sue me because I gave a different perspective I been going light actually I got suspended from Instagram for 30 days for my truth I’m a digital prisoner right now but If you keep talking Ima keep talking If you shut the f*ck up I’ll leave it alone.”
Capo Corleone is the definition of a boss, and he’s bringing that same energy into the music industry. Based in Los Angeles, the international recording artist and music executive straddles the genres of alternative and hip-hop, creating his own unique sound that stands out amongst his peers.
Most recently, Capo unveiled his new single titled “Fly,” tapping Polish jazz musician and global producer Kuba Więcek and Warsaw’s pop sensation Zalia as standout features. “Fly” signifies elevation in all areas of his life, from personal growth to career growth and everything in between.
He explains, “”Fly” is the story of my evolution and the story of me following my gut and intuition. It’s a story of me simply killing the old version and creating a new one.”
Additionally, Capo Corleone is the CEO of C2 Management, as well as founder and former CEO of Tree4ort Records.
AllHipHop spoke with Capo Corleone to discuss his sound, the new record, and his forthcoming EP.
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Capo Corleone: It’s lifestyle music with a heavy focus on lyricism, delivery, and cinematic production. Every song is attached to a feeling and a unique delivery. If it’s a poppy sound/feeling that calls for a speedy delivery, I’m going to give you a Midwest rapid-fire flow. If it’s a laid-back feeling, I’m going to give you that signature West Coast flow I grew up on. I can do it all.
AllHipHop: You’re from Los Angeles, how does that play into your life and career?
Capo Corleone: It’s convenient to be in the city most of the industry calls home. Getting in the studio and networking is more convenient than for most living in other areas. For most opportunities, there is a 90% chance it’s a short drive for me… depending on LA traffic of course.
AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?
Capo Corleone: In 2019, I traveled to Germany for my first European tour. One of the shows had 15,000 people in the audience and the crowd really knew my music. I remember saying to my DJ at the time “holy sh*t, this might really work out for me as an artist.” The performance was broadcasted in front of millions of people on television.
AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?
Capo Corleone: My grandmother was Sicilian-Italian and I’ve always been proud of that part of my heritage. When I was young and living in the Bay Area, I was part of a rap collective and when the guys found out I was Sicilian-Italian they started calling me Capo and the nickname stuck. When I finally started releasing solo music, I knew there were hundreds of rappers trying to call themselves Capo and I needed to separate myself from them. So I added the “Corleone” last name because we’ll, let’s be real….I love The Godfather.
AllHipHop: Your latest single “Fly” is out now, can you talk about how the record came together.
Capo Corleone: This record took around 3 months to come together. It initially had a different feature but because of label clearances, we weren’t able to collaborate. It started out as a twenty-second loop so when I heard it, I had to imagine what it would become. I knew it was single. I wrote three different verses for the first verse until I finally selected the feeling I was going for. My producer Kuba told me he knew an up-and-coming pop singer where he’s based in Warsaw, Poland. When I heard Zalia on the hook, I hit the studio that same day and finished the song, and sent it to Kuba who added saxophone to the final version’s hook.
AllHipHop: What’s your musical relationship with Kuba Więcek and how’d you guys connect?
Capo Corleone: Kuba is a well-known Polish jazz musician and global producer based in Warsaw, Poland. He is the producer on “Fly” and the entire project “Thank Myself” out in January of 2023. We connected via Instagram during the pandemic. My wife and his girlfriend at the time were old friends in college when they both studied in Warsaw. We were both bored like most during the pandemic so he started sending massive amounts of production my way that I began recording to. We finally finished the project in 2022, recording the last half on his visit to Los Angeles and my visit to Warsaw.
AllHipHop: I love how inspiring the record is, what’s the message you want to give to fans who listen?
Capo Corleone: My main message with “Fly” is to inspire people to better themselves. To kill your current self and create a new self. A self that fits your goals and your goals only. To step outside your comfort zone, to replace the uninspiring people in your lives with people that build you up. To get revenge on the naysayers with your own betterment and success. To go out and get it and never look back.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your forthcoming EP, Thank Myself?
Capo Corleone: You can expect an entire experience from start to finish. Thank Myself is dedicated to self-growth, self-gratitude, and belief in yourself to keep going in spite of the turmoil. Each song in the project can be described as a stage in this process.
We have another single dropping on Thanksgiving called “Thank Myself” which is where the name of the project originated. You can also expect another music video when the project is released in January. Also, if you haven’t checked out the “Brakes” music video please do, it’s pushing 500k views on Youtube and is the first single for our project.
AllHipHop: What does your job as CEO of C2 Management entail?
Capo Corleone: C2 Management works with independent artists in marketing and management capacities to help them compete in today’s music industry. As CEO, I manage, strategize with and negotiate for our artists in all aspects of their careers.
AllHipHop: What are your goals as an artist at this point of your career?
Capo Corleone: I’d like to do songs with some of my favorite artists – guys like E-40, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem. I’d also like to perform at Crypto Arena (RIP Staples Center). Those are bucket list items for sure.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner asked witnesses to help police identify Takeoff’s killer and prevent more violence related to the Migos rapper’s deadly shooting.
The mayor discussed Takeoff’s death at a press conference on Tuesday (November 1). Turner urged people to speak with police if they attended the private event where Takeoff was fatally shot.
“I want again to plead to the persons who were there who have information on who these shooters were,” Turner said. “Give HPD and law enforcement information so we can solve this situation sooner rather than later. So you don’t have others out there trying to solve it for themselves. Okay? We owe that to Takeoff’s mom and to the family.”
He continued, “And I want the mother to know and the family members to know that this city is praying for them. And we value their family member’s life, and we intend to solve it. And that’s why we are standing here. We intend to solve it because these types of shootings just can’t happen and then we move on to the next one.”

Quavo was involved in an argument seconds before fellow Migos member Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston on Tuesday (November 1).

Police haven’t identified any suspects in the deadly shooting. Authorities asked witnesses to come forward with any information about who shot Takeoff.
“We’re looking for anything to help us from there,” Sgt. Michael Arrington said at a press conference. “We want to find justice for [Takeoff’s] family. They’re going through a lot right now. And the only thing that we can do is hope that y’all reach out and assist us in any way to lead to evidence that will help us to apprehend and get charges and arrest on the person responsible for the death of Takeoff.”

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner added, “I just want to say something to our city, Houston, and every brother and sister in the neighborhoods. I’m calling you to action to step up. There were 40 people at least at this event, and people left, possibly out of fear. Actually, one thing — and I want this to resonate with everybody. What if it was your brother? What if it was your son? You’d want somebody to step up. So please, step up. Get the information to us so we can bring some closure to this family who’s hurting right now.”

“And he brought us with him,” said fellow comic Jay Ski, who was present with other members of the HaHa Mafia.
“We look like the Warriors right now, bruh,” said Navv Greene. “Everybody gets their own shot and we ain’t in each other’s way. We the dark-skinned Warriors.”
