Chadwick Boseman’s Widow And Parents Get Less Than The Government In Estate Settlement

Chadwick Boseman died of cancer a little less than three years ago, but his monies are just now being divided.

He died of cancer in 2020.

But, the movie stars did not leave a will or a trust. Now, his family will split the money. Moreover, the government will get more money than both of them.

According to Shadow & Act, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, the widow of the mega star actor, will receive $1.15 million. His parents, Leroy and Caroline Boseman, will also receive $1.15 million. Meanwhile, because there was no will or living trust, the government will receive $1.5 million.

His wife was appointed the state representative, with a clause of limited authority.

The legal fees amounted to $900,000 as well.

Additionally, his widow was reimbursed for $47,000 in funeral costs, a mausoleum crypt in South Carolina and also mausoleum crypt for the parents to be laid to rest next to their son.

Boseman‘s estate was valued at under $4 million. That amount included numerous residual monies that were derived since March 2021.

It should be noted that Boseman appeared in several blockbuster movies by Marvel Entertainment, including the Black Panther movie which grossed over $1 billion. This does not consider the movies where he played icons like Thurgood Marshall, James Brown and Jackie Robinson.

Is Lil Tjay Paralyzed After Being Shot 7 Times?

These damn rumors. Sometimes they are true and sometimes they are false. Other times, they are sad. This is one of those times. The latest is that Lil Jay might be paralyzed from being shot numerous times. He was shot seven times and two of those went into his back region.

Right now, there are no credible sources or reports that say that he is crippled. I have seen articles that suggest he will be crippled or paralyzed. Basically, they have stated that he’s having very minimal movement in the legs.

For now, we have no valid sources – like Lil TJay’s actual friends and family – telling about him being paralyzed. So let’s have some positive energy and not believe anything for certain. Social media is a sad place.

Cops in the Bronx have collard a suspect they believe was involved in the shocking broad daylight murder of rapper Moneygang Vontae.

Moneygang Vontae, born Avanti Frowner, 27, was a Chicago native in town to shoot a music video.

He had just left an eye doctor’s appointment when five men targeted him for his flashy jewelry.

The aspiring artist was shot and killed during a struggle on June 9th inside The Amazing Community Pharmacy on Tremont Ave.

Late last week, police arrested an 18-year-old suspect named River Jones. The cops busted the teenager in his dorm room at Monroe College in New Rochelle.

Crystal clear surveillance footage captured the struggle, as well as Jones’ involvement, although the cops have yet to reveal if he was the trigger man or not.

Jones is scheduled to be arraigned this week. Police are still looking for the four other suspects on the loose.

Megan Thee Stallion spoke out against the U.S. Supreme Court during her set at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday.

A leaked Politico report revealed earlier this year that the Supreme Court was considering overturning Roe v Wade.

The Supreme Court overturned the decision on Friday, allowing individual U.S. states to make abortion illegal.

During the middle of her performance, Megan Thee Stallion spoke on the United States Supreme Court’s landmark decision, which means U.S. women no longer have the constitutional right to get an abortion.

The court overturned the 1973 ruling – which protected a woman’s constitutional right to have an abortion.

“You know I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say something about these stupid-ass men… I want to have it on the m############ record that the hot boys and the hot girls do not support this b####### that y’all campaign for. My body is my m############ choice.”

This decision will now allow individual U.S. states to make abortion illegal.

Olivia Rodrigo and Lily Allen also dedicated a duet to the U.S. Supreme Court at Glastonbury Festival as well.

Lizzo And Live Nation Donate $1 Million To Planned Parenthood

After this week’s historic Supreme Court decision that reversed Roe vs. Wade, rapper and singer Lizzo has donated seven figures to a non-profit to ensure some women in need of reproductive medical attention can get the proper care.

The “Truth Hurts” chart-topper pledged some of the proceeds from her “Special Tour” to Planned Parenthood on Friday (June 24th), hours after abortion was outlawed in about 19 states and a judgment that protected women’s rights to release children was stripped before American eyes. 

Live Nation, the tour’s promoters, said they would match her generous gift.

Lizzo’s announcement came via social media. She shared she would donate $500,000 from her tour. 

Since Live Nation will match dollar for dollar, the organization will receive $1 million in total donations.

“The most important thing is action & loud voices,” Lizzo wrote in another tweet “@PPFA @AbortionFunds & organizations like them—will need funding to continue offering services to people who are most harmed by this ban.”

The Grammy Award-winner said she will not only be donating to Planned Parenthood, but to other another group.

“Black women & women of color have historically had disproportionately less access to family planning resources,” she tweeted. “This is a great loss but not a new one. Go to http://lizzolovesyou.com to donate, sign the Bans Off My Body petition and sign up to volunteer and take action.”

More concerned artists, like Rage Against the Machined, will be soon dropping money to support.

Ashanti has praised Taylor Swift for putting artists’ ownership of their music in the spotlight.

Back in 2019, Swift announced plans to re-record her own album masters, following a dispute with Scooter Braun and her old record label boss, Scott Borchetta, after Braun concluded a deal to buy Borchetta’s firm Big Machine.

Ashanti has taken a similar approach with her self-titled 2002 debut album and insisted it’s something she always wanted to do.

“What I will say is I’ve always had the idea to go back in and re-record and gain the masters,” she told Metro.co.uk. “I think Taylor is amazing for what she’s done and to be able to be a female in this very male-dominated industry, to accomplish that is amazing.”

She added that she can see it sparking a trend for artists who become major stars but lack ownership of their early records because they signed deals at the start of their careers.

“More of us have to continue that narrative of women empowerment, and just artists as a whole,” she said. “Owning your property and getting a chance to have ownership of your creativity is so so important. Male, female, singer, rapper, whatever, I hope this is a lesson for artists to get in there and own.”

Discussing recording her old songs again in Toronto, Canada, she added: “It’s weird because I’m touring and doing shows all the time, so I’m hearing my records all the time. But you go into the studio and people are like, ‘Argh, that’s my jam!’

“It’s been a really cool vibe and my mom has been getting footage of me going into the booth and she’s like, ‘Wow, this is crazy’, when you were recording this 20 years ago at a studio in New York and now you’re here redoing it, it’s a surreal feeling so I’m super excited about it.”

Ashanti, who recorded for Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc. imprint may feel empowered, but her former label boss feels cheated. He raged against Ashanti’s decision during an interview with Angie Martinez last year.

“I own all those great Ashanti Albums Angie,” Irv Gotti fumed. “I own the Masters. And. I Produced all those great Ashanti Albums. So I also own a good portion of the Publishing. What she is trying to do is re-record all those great records. And put them out on her label.”

“She can do this under the COVER laws. But she is basically trying to f### me out of my Masters. And make people decide which album to listen too or stream. In roughly 40 years, the United States Of America will become a “Minority Majority.” What does that mean? That means that everybody that is not white will be more than the population that is white Caucasian. It generally refers to Black and Brown people reproducing faster than Caucasians. This has concerned the wildly racist person. They want to keep ‘Merica the way it was in the 1950’s.

So, when a 50-year law protecting women and also ensuring they are able to get abortions safely is shot down, it seems like one thing on the surface. Beneath the surface is the idea that “we” will outnumber them. Really, there is no real “us” and “them,” because we are all Americans, right? No, time and time again “they” have proven there are several Americas.

James Rosemond Says Donald Trump’s Word Is Law, Demands Release From 8 Life Sentences

James Rosemond a.k.a. Jimmy Henchman continues to seek his release from prison.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, James Rosemond’s lawyer Michael Rayfield insists former President Donald Trump pardoned his client. Rayfield counters the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which argued Trump never formally granted clemency to Jimmy Henchman.

“President Lincoln granted pardons by scribbling them on pieces of paper handed to a prisoner, and by informing a single member of a prisoner’s family,” Rayfield writes.

The lawyer contends, “President Trump communicated Rosemond’s clemency to two high-profile people with no personal stake in Rosemond’s case and indisputable access to the White House. The Warden cannot credibly contend that a substantial number of people will be similarly situated to Rosemond, or that a grant of relief to Rosemond will somehow overwhelm the courts with meritless claims.”

Rayfield claims Trump expressed his intent to pardon Rosemond in a “sufficiently public” manner. Jimmy Henchman’s lawyer says Trump’s conversation with James and Monique Brown legally justifies a pardon for his client.

“On the December 18th, 2020 call, President Trump announced that he had ‘looked at everything’ in Rosemond’s file, that he believed the Browns that Rosemond deserved a commutation and that he ‘wanted to do this,’” Rayfield reiterates. “He then told his advisors point-blank: ‘let’s this guy home for Christmas.’”

He continues, “No reasonable listener would conclude from this exchange that President Trump was merely aware of and possibly considering’ Rosemond’s petition. The whole point of the call was for President Trump to inform the Browns that he had completed his review of the petition and decided to grant it- a decision the browns would then convey to Rosemond and his family so they could arrange for his return home.”

Rayfield suggests Trump did more than simply voice a desire to free Rosemond. The attorney says Trump ordered his subordinates to get Rosemond out of prison.

“When a superior tells his or her colleague to ‘get me a cup of coffee, or to ‘get my mother flowers for her birthday,’ or to ‘get Bob in my office,’ the colleague is being instructed to do something,” he notes. “President Trump’s aides were instructed to ‘get Rosemond home’ – to arrange for Rosemond’s transfer out of prison.”

Rosemond has been imprisoned for running a drug trafficking organization and ordering the murder of 50 Cent associate Lowell Fletcher. He’s serving eight consecutive life sentences.

Taraji P. Henson is “really considering” moving abroad.

The “Empire” star appeared on the latest episode of the People Every Day podcast and revealed that she might say goodbye to the United States.

“I’m really considering getting up out of here, leaving and living in another country,” Taraji said, responding to a question about how she’s been coping with America’s current social climate.

“That’s something that comes with 50, you get tired of fighting. I’m tired.”

The 51-year-old blamed “the pressures of being Black” for her exhaustion, saying, “I just don’t want to have to do another hashtag… I fought, I chanted, I marched. I’m tired.”

As for her ideal living situation: “I want to go where there’s neutral ground. I want to just be. And be happy… I want to be called ‘Bella’ every day, drink wine and swat flies on the porch. Stress-free.”

The actress noted that her age has influenced her desire to leave.

“There’s something that happens when you turn 50, where all of your f#### are behind you. I’ve accomplished a lot and I’m going to do what I want to do,” Taraji P. Henson said. “I’m at the point now where if I say, ‘I quit, I’m going to go travel the world,’ I can. It’s so freeing.”

Jeann Lugo allegedly assaults state senate hopeful Jennifer Rourke

A rogue cop running for the U.S. Senate punched his Black female opponent in the face – two times. Jeann Lugo, a white male cop from Rhode Island on the Republican ticket, hit Democratic opponent Jennifer Rourke in the face. This all happened the other day, as she spoke at an abortion rally.

Lugo, a complete fool at this point, has deleted his Twitter. Like, does he think that is going do make it go away? He is currently under investigation, likely by his former friends in the police office. The crazy thing is that the act was caught on tape, like most things in this era.

Here’s the formal language, as well as the charges. “As the result of a joint investigation between the two agencies, a Providence Police Patrolman Jeann Lugo, age 35, was arrested on a State Police affidavit and arrest warrant on the charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.”

In my opinion, this does not sounds simple. It sounds like a hate crime perpetrated by a lawless heathen with no self control.

Madam Rourke said, “I’m a reproductive rights organizer & State Senate candidate. Last night, after speaking at our Roe rally, my Republican opponent – a police officer – violently attacked me. This is what it is to be a Black woman running for office. I won’t give up.”

Man Who Tried To Rob Lil Tjay Greeted With A Hail Of Bullets

The man accused of shooting Lil Tjay was after the rap star’s pricey jewels, investigators have revealed in a newly filed report. 

The cops say Mohamed Konate, 27, was in a white BMW with his co-conspirators when they pulled up to the side of a red Dodge Durango at a shopping center in Edgewater, New Jersey. 

The Durango contained Lil Tjay and two of his friends. Konate pulled a gun, pointed it at the trio, and demanded their jewelry. 

Instead, a gun battle erupted. 

Lil Tjay was hit, as was Konate, 27. Konate’s alleged co-conspirators took Konate to a hospital in New York City and dumped him off out front. He was treated for multiple gunshot wounds. 

After being stabilized, Konate was arrested. The state charged the criminal with attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses for allegedly trying to kill Lil Tjay, the Bronx rapper whose real name is Tione Merritt.

Also charged are Tjay’s associates, Jeffrey Valdez, 24, and Antoine Boyd, 22, from the Bronx. Boyd was also shot during the melee, but he is in stable condition.

Boyd was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Lil Tjay, who is signed to Columbia Records, is listed in “critical but stable condition” after being shot multiple times in the thoracic cavity, which contains the heart and lungs.

According to the latest update, the rapper has yet to regain consciousness.

Well people, all good things come to an end. And in Hip-Hop it, that is something that doesn’t happen often. Everybody knows there is a place somewhere to get money as an MC. However, a legend from the West Coast has reportedly called it quits.

Daz Dillinger, 1/2 of the Dogg Pound, has retired from Hip-Hop as of today. He has decided that enough is enough. I think that it’s a good time. He bounced after performing for the DOC in New York City. And it was a momentous, magical occasion.

In a post on Instagram he says basically I’m done wrapping because it’s over. He says it’s not even funny anymore. Furthermore, unlike other rappers, he says this is his last post on Instagram! That means he won’t even be participating in the foolishness of the Internet.

The crazy thing is he just did a joint project with Capone of CNN. Remember, these dudes had beef beef back in the day when only Mobb Deep and CNN was replying to the West Coast.

After announcing he would be getting married and that he and his fianceé just had a baby girl, he has created a business inspired by his daughter.

The rapper is getting into his new role as a papa.

According to Page Six, the “Rockstar” singer has debuted a new clothing line called the PostyCo Kids collection. It will feature anime-inspired versions of his tattooed face on sweatshirts, T-shirts, and even a onesie for newborns.

The expensively priced collection costs from $25 for a miniature-sized baseball cap to $40 for a tote page and $65 for a hoodie.

The items are available for preorder and will start shipping later in the summer, around August.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the “Circles” rapper’s family just expanded.

He said, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember, I was sad,” he said in May when he revealed he was expecting a child.

“Time to take care of my body and my family and friends and spread as much love as we can every day.”

Rapper Drake may be in hot water for not clearing a sample of an underground Baltimore club vocalist and rapper on his new album.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Ryeisha Berrain, who performed under the name Rye Rye in the mid-2000s, says the Canadian rapper sampled her saying “What?” on his song “Currents.”

Berrain, a mom living in Laurel, Maryland now, notes the Grammy award-winner used the piece of a song titled “Shake it to the Ground,” which she recorded in 2007 with the DJ Blaqstarr when she was 15 years old.

As a teen, Berrain was a vital member of the Baltimore club scene and helped make the indigenous sound of the city famous for fusing house music and Hip-Hop.

So successful and impactful was Rye Rye as an artist, that British rapper M.I.A. collaborated with her on the song “Bang.” She left the biz over a decade ago and is now raising her four children, ages 12, 8, and 6-year-old twins.

One of her young ones first recognized her voice on Champagne Papi’s new project. While driving to school, the family listened to the artist’s new album Honestly, Nevermind album. On the trip, the 8-year-old son asked, “Mom is that you?”

Berrain instantly recognized her voice.

“Dang, Drake’s really got me on the record. Honestly, I was crying and smiling at the same time,” Berrain said. 

The B-more club icon turned mom said that at first, she was proud that Drizzy used her voice, but after thinking about the whole picture, she became “disappointed.”

“If you’re shedding light on the culture and you happen to bring it to the masses, why not credit people from that culture that you sampled from,” said Berrain. “That’s why I’m like ‘Are you really for the culture?'”

She contacted the song producer, Gordo, and DJ Carnage, a former Maryland resident. When they didn’t get back to her, she went to the publishing company, Sony.

The publisher requested the producer Blaqstarr to end the original file, or stem, from “Shake it to the Ground.”

Upon receipt, Berrain was asked if she would be open to receiving a percentage for the record. Blaqstarr and Berrain are reportedly in a tentative agreement to receive portions from the sale of the song.

For Berrain, it is not about the money, but respect.

“I’m not even worried about the financial part. I’ve always done music for fun. I’m not really worried about accolades,” she explained. “I feel respected being credited because I feel like I’ve worked hard for years.”

“In a perfect world, Drake has to fly out to Baltimore and actually use Baltimore dancers for his video,” she said.

Ceaser Emanuel seems to be spiraling out of control after he was ensnared and a shocking scandal that resulted in him being fired from VH1.

The “Black Ink Crew” star was fired from his high-profile gig as a reality star earlier this week after a shocking video of him abusing a dog leaked on the internet.

Ceaser Emanuel can be seen picking up a metal folding chair and whacking the dog with it in an angry rage. To add insult to injury to the animal, he put the tiny pooch in its cage and rolled it down a hill.

Ceaser Emanuel explained himself and admitted he made a terrible mistake disciplining the animal after it attacked another one of his dogs.

“I’m not gonna make no excuses for myself,” he said. ‘I should’ve behaved better. But that’s not me with being cruel to animals or anything like that. I’m not that. What I did was a mistake, and that was just it.”

Cease said the video is in no way a reflection of his true spirit. However, the internet – and the police are not buying it.

According to Ceaser’s lawyer, the reality star is receiving death threats and sinking into a deep depression.

“Although his actions were not appropriate at all, [Ceasar] is sincerely apologetic and feels extremely bad. He is dealing with death threats which is causing him fear and depression. His only goal was to build an empire to help build jobs and bring the black community in the tattoo industry successful given that the community is limited there.”

To make matters more complicated for Ceaser Emanuel, it appears as though Fulton County Animal Services is looking into filing animal cruelty charges against the former open hole black ink crew” star.

Yesterday, Ceaser Emanuel apologized for his actions but claimed he was set up by a scorned ex-girlfriend who leaked the footage, which was shot during the pandemic, as revenge.
