Ryan Garcia Comments After Getting Arrested For Felony Vandalism

Ryan Garcia is back in the news. According to reports, Beverly Hills Police Department officers arrested the professional boxer for felony vandalism on Saturday (June 8).

Local law enforcement officials claim Ryan Garcia trashed his room and the hallway at the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The 25-year-old Golden Boy Promotions fighter allegedly caused $15,000 in damages.

After being booked in jail, Garcia apparently complained about a medical issue. The BHPD transferred him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

Representatives for Ryan Garcia sent AllHipHop.com a statement credited to the California-raised athlete. Garcia thanked his supporters and referenced his mother’s recent breast cancer diagnosis.

“It’s always love. Thanks to my fans for always supporting me. [Y’all] know I’ve been dealing with incredible stress, pressure and now the devastating news of my mom’s health. Love and compassion wins. Always,” Garcia stated.

In addition, Ryan Garcia posted several social media messages about his ongoing legal troubles in Beverly Hills. In the tweets, he asked for prayers, mentioned Jesus Christ and seemingly compared his situation to Donald Trump’s 34 felony convictions.

“I’m worried [sad face emoticon]. I have to be at this weird hospital and they are trying to give me medicine and they have me on a hold for who knows how long, they will determine. Pray for me, God help me,” Garcia tweeted on Sunday (June 9).

Moments later, Garcia also tweeted, “Kinda funny both Trump and I are in jail [man shrugging emoji]. I don’t know if he is in jail but I know he got convicted. This sucks, but I love Jesus, I will be okay.”

“Power” Star Michael Rainey Jr. Allegedly Groped During Livestream [VIDEO]

A clip of Michael Rainey Jr. on TyTy James’ livestream spread across the internet on Monday (June 10). Footage from the stream seems to show the 23-year-old entertainer being sexually assaulted.

At one point, Michael Rainey Jr. looks visibly uncomfortable as TyTy James’ sister appears to touch the Power Book II: Ghost star in the crotch area. Thetylilshow host addressed the incident with his live chat audience.

“Word to my mother, I’m trying to literally ignore the s### but I’m getting texts, the energy shifted and n##### just got up and left,” TyTy James said in a live video message.

The social media personality also stated, “This is your crib. It’s about hospitality that means everything. Stop telling me to ignore it because when I tried to ignore it y’all dick-riders were spamming it.”

TyTy James further spoke about being around celebrities such as Michael Rainey Jr. He then offered a defense for his family member seemingly violating Rainey on his show.

“She never seen somebody that caliber so she start…. That’s my sister so I’m not gonna say nothing bad about her. I’m gonna just check her and tell her, ‘You ain’t gotta be on that. We all the same. We all human,” James expressed. He also declared, “Nothing ever got me more mad than this.”

Michael Rainey Jr. has been doing media interviews to promote the season four premiere of Power Book II: Ghost. The 50 Cent-produced crime drama returned to the Starz network on Friday, June 7.

In addition to Rainey Jr., the cast of Power Book II: Ghost features Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Michael Ealy and more. The Power spinoff originally debuted on September 6, 2020.

Method Man Responds To Negative Feedback Over His Comments About Summer Jam Crowd

Method Man hit the stage at Summer Jam in New York on June 2. By the end of his set, the Wu-Tang Clan member expressed no longer wanting to be part of the annual Hot 97 concert.

“Not our crowd at all,” Method Man wrote on Instagram. “Thanks again, New York and the whole tri-state (that showed up to the event) plus Pete [Rosenberg] and Ebro [Darden].”

The recording artist/actor continued, “I got love for you guys, but never again. At this point, the generation gap is just too wide for me. #nevercomingback.”

Those comments by Method Man generated a lot of discourse online. For example, “Crank That” performer Soulja Boy reacted to what the Power Book II: Ghost cast member had to say about this year’s Summer Jam.

Meth addressed the conversation surrounding his Instagram post during an interview with TMZ. The New York native clarified the point he attempted to make on the social networking platform.

“I wasn’t mad at the crowd,” Method Man stated. He also said, “It was just a generation gap. I showed grace. But the feedback that it’s gotten, I don’t think it’s fair. I would never point my finger at the crowd for not liking my music.”

In addition, the 53-year-old MC added, “I was there for Mister Cee and it was New York. So I figured, I’m in New York, I’m in my backyard, people know who I am.”

Nasir explained, “We had no idea what we were walking into every time, but we were very adventurous. We don’t fear a lot and then the more we started doing it, it pushed us even more to be even more fearless and it was like an accumulation, basically conditioned ourselves and became like stuntmen essentially.”

Meanwhile, the trailer revealed the ongoing tension between Tokyo Toni and Karlissa Saffold. The reality TV stars have been going at it since last year after clashing over their celebrity gossip takes. The pair feuded online after Toni went after Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, with Saffold defending the mother and daughter.

Rihanna Flexes Natural Curls After Backlash Over Wearing Wigs In Fenty Hair Promo

Rihanna showcased her short curly tresses while stepping out in New York City after catching heat for wearing wigs to promote her new Fenty Hair line.

On Sunday (June 9) the business mogul flicked it up with fans and posed for photos while on a stroll. Her natural curls were in full view as she smiled with autograph hunters.

Last week, Rihanna announced the launch of her new hair care line, Fenty Hair, set to debut on June 13. “A new family is moving in!” she wrote alongside a trailer on Instagram. “@fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for.”

However, some people in the comment section slammed Rihanna for not showing her natural locks in the ads.

“How are you promoting a hair line with a wig on ?” one person wrote while another added, “So yall putting yall hair in Rihanna hands. …. Make her show yalll what the products have done for her first lol.”

Meanwhile, others compared her promo to Beyoncé’s hair care line, which launched earlier this year.

“I love Rihanna DOWN but if Beyonce shot her ad for Cecred in a 28 piece quick weave y’all would’ve had think pieces on CNN. #FentyHair,” one person wrote on X (Twitter).

“Consumerism is why Rihanna that we’ve never seen without a wig will boldly sell hair care to you guys and you’d buy it,” another user said.

Rihanna’s Fenty Hair launches on June 13. The line adds to her ever-growing empire of Fenty-branded products, which include makeup and fragrances. However, fans are still demanding an album to follow Anti, which dropped in 2016.

Stephen A. Smith Claims Will Smith Owes Black Community An Explanation: “Chris Rock is Damaged”

Stephen A. Smith says Will Smith needs to address the Black community directly and claims slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars caused irreparable damage to the comedian.

On Sunday (June 9), the veteran sportscaster said he finds it difficult to watch Will Smith movies following the infamous 2022 incident. He claims that while Chris Rock may appear unscathed, making money and still working in Hollywood, “in the age of mental illness,” the comic is not okay.

“Chris Rock is damaged,” he said during the latest episode of the Stephen A. Smith Show. “Chris Rock will never get over that. Ever.”

He continued, “Will Smith apologized. I’m not saying he even has to apologize. I’m saying that while I watch him and Martin Lawrence promoting this movie, and I’m quite sure the reason he hasn’t addressed it is because the studios don’t want him to, and there’s an obligation that you have with them. All fair, I get it.

Stephen A Smith Finds It Hard To Watch Will Smith Movies

But somewhere along the way, he has to sit down and talk to the Black community. You see all the white people around Will Smith all you want to, Black folks have loved and revered this man for decades.”

Stephen A. Smith insisted that he still loves the actor but said he owes the Black community an explanation. “You got to have a conversation as to why you did that. It’s primarily us Black people that have loved and supported you and watched you go on an international stage and slap one of us in the face,” he added.

“A lot of folks ain’t get over that. A lot of folks find it hard to just go to the movies to watch you. I’m one of those people, and I never missed a Will Smith movie,” Stephen A. Smith said.

The First Take host’s remarks came after Will Smith’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die surpassed projections, earning $ 56 million on its domestic opening weekend and $104 million globally.

Posting a clip of his Will Smith discussion on social media, Stephen A. Smith promised to share some “additional thoughts” on his podcast.

Foxy Brown Could Play Pivotal Role In Convicting Keefe D For 2Pac’s Murder

Foxy Brown is reportedly among the list of witnesses prosecution is hoping to get on the stand in the murder case against Keefe D. The controversial Hip-Hop figure is believed to have played a crucial role in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur.

According to The U.S. Sun, Foxy Brown was in Las Vegas on the night of the infamous drive-by shooting and allegedly saw Keefe D in Sin City. Despite writing about meeting Foxy Brown and being in Las Vegas that evening for his book, Keefe D now claims everything he said was a lie. His legal strategy is that there’s no evidence he was in town and only claimed he was a “shot caller” for “fame and fortune.”

Lead prosecutors have contacted Foxy Brown to take the stand in November’s trial.

“There are secret and delicate conversations going on about Foxy being a witness at the trial,” an insider said. “She could prove vital in taking the stand or even making a statement about her recollection of being around the men, who claim they were in her company for a short while before they set off to murder 2Pac.

“Obviously, central to her involvement to the trial will be whether she has any recollection of Keefe. The prosecutors know that having independent and credible verification of Keefe being in Vegas would be a major benefit to their case. And it would destroy Keefe’s defense of ‘there’s no evidence I was even there,’ which has been presented by his lawyer in recent weeks.”

The insider continued, “There are many delicate factors for Foxy to consider. Being in this trial would bring a lot of eyes to her and not necessarily present her in the right light. Secondly, the characters she was socializing with back then had varied backgrounds and lifestyles. Another factor would be taking the stand means facing cross-examination, which could put her on record being asked about matters in her life which may be fresh or potentially shocking.

“Some people may forget that Foxy has a criminal past too, being convicted for assaulting two nail stylists in 2006. These interactions with Foxy are being kept secret between just a couple of the district attorneys and team members. Nothing is confirmed about what, if any, evidence she will provide.”

In Keefe D’s memoir, Compton Street Legend, he wrote Foxy Brown was present during a meeting with the late New York City socialite and party planner Eric “Zip” Martin. He claimed Martin provided a gun to his gang of Southside Crips, including his nephew Orlando Anderson, who’s long been suspected of being the triggerman.

Keefe D has publicly claimed Anderson used that Glock to kill 2Pac during a drive-by shooting near the famous Las Vegas strip. He wrote Foxy was in the car with Martin right before the gun was handed over. He also suggested that he met Martin, who was with Foxy Brown inside a Mercedes-Benz, at the MGM Grand Casino, close to the valet drop-off.

Davis wrote, “As I walked up to the driver’s side window, I noticed that the rapper, Foxy Brown, was in the car with Zip.”

“So he instructed her to step out of the car and motioned for me to jump in,” he wrote. “Zip had a hidden compartment that he opened up, reached in, and pulled a black .40 Glock out. He turned to me and said, ‘It’s time to get the money.’ Zip handed me the 17-shot pistol, which I promptly put down the back waist of my pants. I hopped out of the car, held the door open for Foxy Brown to get back in, closed the door, and they pulled off.“

Keefe D maintains his innocence. The trial takes place November 4.

In addition to acting, LL COOL J has also been focused on building his brand, ROCK THE BELLS. Last year, he teamed up with Vikki Tobak for the book LL COOL J Presents: The Streets Win,  a 336-page book containing dozens of essays and interviews by Hip-Hop’s elite and images from some of the culture’s most celebrated photographers—from Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, MC Sha-Rock, Chuck D and KRS-One to Nas, Eminem and Dr. Dre.

Having LL COOL J behind the project was a huge asset for Tobak. He was able to connect her with people who they couldn’t have reached on their own—like Eminem and Dr. Dre. Speaking to AllHipHop in October 2023,  Tobak said it was a testament to who LL COOL J is at his core.

“People sometimes say don’t meet your heroes, but I think he’s an exception,” she said at the time. “I only just met him recently, even though we’ve been in the same rooms and stuff for a long time. He, of course, was like a childhood hero of mine, and he’s just one of those really special people where you understand how he became the first artist signed to Def Jam at 16. I see what it was because it’s still there. It’s that thing you can’t quite put your finger on; you’re born with it. He is a performer and a big idea person in every way. He approached the book in the same way.”

LL COOL J released his debut album, Radio, in 1985. He’s delivered 12 additional projects, including Mama Said Knock You Out (1990), which went double-platinum.

Will Smith & Martin Lawrence’s “Bad Boys 4” Is A Hit—Reels In $56M Opening Weekend

Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die, the follow-up to 2020’s Bad Boy 4 Life, is a hit. The highly anticipated film stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprising their respective roles as Miami Detective Mike Lowrey and Marcus Miles Burnett and was hit theaters nationwide on Friday (June 7).

According to Deadline, the fourth film in a franchise—which started with the 1995 release of Bad Boys—grossed $56 million domestically in its opening weekend, almost twice as much as Sony’s $30 million internal expectation and well above industry estimates of $45 million to $50 million.

Fans are eating it up, too. On Twitter (X), the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive. Comments like, “Bad Boys 4 is up there with Bad Boys 2. Every action scene is a spectacle, the jokes deliver, the call backs to the previous films feel authentic. I didn’t want it to end” and “Bad Boys 4 is amazing!! I loved the callbacks and character development! Reggie is the man and has one of the best redemption arcs that I’ve ever seen on film!” are pouring in online.

Those claiming Will Smith’s “slap heard around the world” would impact the film’s success were clearly wrong. It seems Smith’s infamous Oscars slap made some of his fans root even harder for the veteran actor/rapper. As one person wrote, “YALLLLLL BAD BOYS 4 IS GOOD AS SHITTTT!!! WILL SMITH CAN SLAP CHRIS ROCK LIKE 10 THOUSAND TIMES IF WE CAN GET LIKE 10 MORE OF THESE FILMS.”

Fans are also praising Will Smith’s press campaign for the film, which included several Black-owned outlets. And that’s not all. On opening day, Smith snuck into a Los Angeles theater and watched the film alongside an unsuspecting audience. He only revealed himself after the credits rolled. Footage of the moment was promptly posted on TikTok, filmed by someone waiting outside the screening.

“Hey, I’m glad y’all enjoyed that,” Smith, dressed inconspicuously in all-black, said, as heads turned and people began screaming. Check out the clip below.

Chuck D Blown Away By Ice-T’s Tour Stamina At 66: “No Excuses For Youthier Acts”

Ice-T and Body Count are currently overseas melting people’s faces off with their heavy metal anthems. At 66 years old, Hip-Hop’s “Original Gangster” hasn’t slowed down and, instead, continues to add chapters to his colorful story.

Fellow rap pioneer Chuck D—who himself is 63 and still rocking stages like he’s 33—praised Ice-T for his unrelenting stamina. On Saturday (June 8), the Law & Order star shared a couple of photos from his shows in Germany on Twitter (X) and wrote, “2 Down in Germany so far! Hamburg and Nuremberg… Destroyed. Thanks to ALL in attendance! MERCILESS.”

Chuck D retweeted the post and added, “Damn . 66 years of ICE is a blizzard and a damn glacier coming at you in 2024. no excuses for [youthier] acts not to exude this
@FINALLEVEL of power and Energy.”

Ice-T replied hours later with mutual admiration and a few words of wisdom, writing, “@MrChuckD has ALWAYS been my Brother in this WAR against Sucka s###…. He once said “Those that are not in the War, shouldn’t comment on the Battles”. That stuck with me.. RESPECT.”

Ice-T has earned heaps of praise from his peers over the years. He’s often credited with popularizing gangsta rap on the West Coast. In 1983, the same year Los Angeles electro-Hip-Hop legend Egyptian Lover and Uncle Jamm’s Army released “Dial-A-Freak,” Ice-T dropped the electro-flavored “The Coldest Rap (Part 1)” and “The Coldest Rap (Part 2)” via Saturn Records.

In an April interview with AllHipHop, Egyptian Lover talked about his impact.

“When Ice-T came on the scene, man, there was only a handful of people doing street rap, which they now call gangsta rap,” he says. “So the first one I heard was Mix Master S####. And then I had a record in high school, and me and Mix Master S#### switched tapes. I heard his rap and he heard mine. But then I didn’t want to keep doing street rap, I wanted to do more of a party rap. I got out of it and just did all party rap, no more street rap.

“Then I heard Ice-T do it. And then there was a few others around the neighborhood that was doing it. So they were taking the style of like ‘Rappers Delight’ but only doing it in a gangster style, street style, and I thought that was brilliant for what it was, but I couldn’t see myself playing that at a party. When I saw Ice-T got signed, it was incredible. I hustled my a## off for a record deal. He talked his way into that record deal and it worked out.”

Iggy Azalea Uses Her Cheeks To Clap Back At Hulk Hogan Over “Fake” Meme Coin Diss

Iggy Azalea’s witty comeback to Hulk Hogan’s inflammatory tweets marks a significant exchange in the volatile world of celebrity-endorsed cryptocurrencies.

Iggy Azalea humorously fired back at wrestling legend Hulk Hogan after a series of inflammatory tweets seemed to target the rapper and her burgeoning cryptocurrency, $MOTHER.

Hogan’s now-deleted tweets promoted a $HULK cryptocurrency and took a jab at Iggy Azalea: “You suck at pumping. $HULK has the real milk.”

Azalea responded with a sharp-witted tweet featuring Hogan’s face nestled snuggly between Iggy’s ample buns: “$MOTHER BURNS @6 PM EST,” she tweeted, using the insult to promote her crypto project.

Hulk Hogan later claimed that his account was hacked and apologized on Instagram. He asserted that the contentious tweets were not his own and vowed to have them removed. Hogan later distanced himself from the actions, attributing the activity to unauthorized access to his Twitter account.

The drama unfolded against the backdrop of Azalea’s recent entry into the cryptocurrency world with her $MOTHER coin on the Solana blockchain.

Initially launched in late May 2024, $MOTHER saw its value skyrocket by over 1,200% within a week, mainly driven by fervent speculation from Azalea’s fans.

The swift rise quickly turned early investors into crypto millionaires.

$MOTHER, a meme-inspired cryptocurrency often called a “meme coin,” doesn’t offer inherent utility or value beyond its novelty and Azalea’s celebrity promotion.

Yet, this has been enough to elevate its market capitalization to around $200 million.

Megan Thee Stallion Fans Rally Following Alleged Sex Tape Leak

Megan Thee Stallion fans have rallied together in support of the Grammy Award-winning rapper after she appeared to fall victim to a cyber prank. On Saturday (June 8), an alleged sex tape of Megan Thee Stallion started making the rounds, but it was likely created using artificial intelligence.

Less than 24 hours later, the hashtag “WELOVEYOUMEGAN” became a battle cry for her legion of fans, who were outraged that somebody would stoop so low—especially after everything she’s endured over the past few years. As one person wrote, “My dearest Megan you are so cool and so talented and beautiful and LOVED! I admire your dedication to your craft and your continuous ability to prevail over those who want to see you fail. THAT IS NOT happening on my watch, I got you girl.”

Another pointed out all of her accolades, adding, Nicki Minaj in her 20s: Never won a Grammy. Got a #1. Graduated College. Collabed with Beyoncé. Sold out arena tours. Megan did all of that. That’s why some are bitter every time she shines. #WeLoveYouMegan.”

The controversy seemed to leak into Megan Thee Stallion’s live performance in Tampa, Florida. A video posted to Twitter (X) shows her momentarily breaking down and crying onstage.

Megan Thee Stallion addressed the purported breach in a tweet and condemned those still praying for her downfall. She wrote, ““It’s really sick how y’all go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning,” she wrote on Twitter. “Y’all going too far, Fake a$$ sh##. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

The Houston native has continuously been the subject of scrutiny online in the wake of the 2020 Tory Lanez shooting incident. More recently, she was a punchline in Eminem’s new single, “Houdini,” in which he raps, “If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me/Would I really have a shot at a feat? (Ha!).”

Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour continues in New Orleans on Monday (June 10).

Kim Porter’s Vietnam Vet Dad Compares Diddy’s Actions To War Brutality

Sean “Diddy” Combs faces renewed scrutiny after a video allegedly showing him assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016 resurfaced.

The footage prompted public outrage and calls for accountability from the celebrated music mogul, who ended up issuing an awkward apology lambasted by people worldwide.

The latest tongue-lashing comes from Jake Porter, the father of Diddy’s late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter.

“I was disgusted by that video,” Jake Porter told Rolling Stone. “I wouldn’t treat my enemy like that.”

The incident has left Porter deeply disturbed and reflective. He drew from his own harrowing experience as a war veteran.

“I was in Vietnam, and I wouldn’t do that to my enemy,” Porter said.

While Porter never saw Diddy physically harming his daughter, the video has led him to question the very nature of their relationship.

“I didn’t know he could stoop that low,” he admitted. “I wouldn’t even do a dog like that.”

Porter’s view of Diddy has shifted dramatically after watching the footage. He questioned Diddy’s grasp on love.

“Kim’s love was legitimate. Puffy’s love, I don’t know what he calls it…I really don’t think he has any idea what love is.”

Jake Porter’s primary concern remained the well-being of the children Kim and Diddy share, twin daughters Jesse and D’Lila.

“For the sake of Kim’s children and all those involved, let’s hope this leads to positive change,” he concluded.

Diddy’s empire has crumbled since Cassie filed her original lawsuit against him in November 2023.

Since then, seven women have come forward accusing abuse and multiple employees of leveled harassment claims at him.

In an ongoing criminal investigation, Homeland Security agents raided his homes in Los Angeles and New York.

He has also seen his business empire crumble. He stepped down and sold his shares in REVOLT and his DeLeon tequila brand.

Most recently, Diddy was stripped of his honorary degree from Howard University, which also returned his $1 million donation.

Is It Real Or Artificial Intelligence? Megan Thee Stallion Sounds Off On Explicit Tape

While Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour is smashing records nationwide, but the trolls are cooling her day off. But she’s not breaking or bending as a recent alleged sex tape suggests.

On Saturday (June 8), Megan found herself at the center of a seemingly A.I.-generated deepfake controversy. A presumably doctored clip of a sex tape video circulated features the Grammy Award-winner. In a post on Twitter (never calling it “X”), Megan denied that she had a “tape” of her goodies and threatened to take action against anyone promoting the video as genuine. Wait a sec.

“It’s really sick how y’all go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning,” she wrote on Twitter. “Y’all going too far, Fake a$$ sh##. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

The origins of the video remain unknown, so I am wondering what who we are suing. Also, I am wondering if it is truly fake. I looked at it and swore it appeared to be an old video of Meg. It certainly did not seem to be recent or the product of a deep fake technologist. It looks like an old tape. I wonder if thereis more.

Anyway, blogger Mílagro Gramz better stop telling people to look at it or he may get sued. Her hotties are on him and have her back. “Please sue them,” wrote one fan. “We’re begging. We’re tired of them playing with your name.”

Here’s what Megan Thee Stallion: said:

Will Smith Fled Haunted London Hotel After Terrifying Encounter

Will Smith once found himself fleeing from a London hotel in abject fear. Haunted technology and a mysterious ghost encounter drove the 55-year-old actor to evacuate his room, something he revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“I once had to emergency check out of a hotel because of a ghost,” Will Smith confessed to Fallon, recounting a nightmarish ordeal at the storied Lanesborough Hotel, a five-star establishment in Knightsbridge.

The ordeal, which occurred 27 years prior, began when a ghost seemingly tampered with his friend’s phone and toilet.

The ghostly disturbance involved a phantom using the toilet and erasing all messages from a mobile phone, Smith elaborated.

“The ghost urinated in my friend’s toilet… And cleared all of his messages from his phone,” the actor recalled, eliciting gasps from the audience and a curious question from Fallon about the timeline.

“We assumed [the ghost] was British. But it was scary enough for us to check out of the hotel,” Smith continued, affirming the authenticity of his eerie experience.

The Lanesborough Hotel, once the site of St. George’s Hospital, boasts a history dating back to 1719. Redesigned by National Gallery architect William Wilkins in the 1800s, the building transitioned from a hospital to a luxury hotel in 1991.

Its reputed hauntings add to its allure, often whispered about by those who have stayed at the opulent Knightbridge location.

As Will Smith corroborated his story, Fallon and the audience appeared astounded, hanging on to every detail of the Hollywood star’s chilling tale.

The actor’s candidness about the spine-chilling incident drew both amusement and disbelief, underscoring a moment where even famous figures find themselves at the mercy of the inexplicable.

Pharrell Welcomes “Abbott Elementary” Actress Quinta Brunson To New Musical

Actress Quinta Brunson is joining Pharrell’s untitled coming-of-age musical set to transport audiences back to Virginia Beach in 1977.

The Abbott Elementary creator and actress is set to work under the direction of Michel Gondry, known for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

The renowned music producer, whose childhood memories form the backdrop of the film, will produce the movie. Brunson, 34, expressed her enthusiasm on Instagram Stories by sharing the casting news initially reported by Deadline. She captioned her post with just the word “Excited” accompanied by a nail-painting emoji.

Universal Pictures announced her involvement adding that Brunson will perform alongside a dynamic ensemble cast that includes Anderson .Paak, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, Brian Tyree Henry, Missy Elliott, Janelle Monáe and Tim Meadows.

The film’s setting—a vibrant Virginia Beach community during the summer of ’77—draws inspiration from Pharrell’s formative years growing up in the Atlantis Apartments neighborhood.

However, specific details about Brunson’s character remain under wraps. Pharrell will produce the film alongside Mimi Valdés under his I Am Other multimedia umbrella, with the script penned by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson.

Brunson’s commitment to her role comes on the heels of wrapping up the third season of Abbott Elementary, her celebrated sitcom where she portrays teacher Janine Teagues. Not only does she star in the series, but she also takes on roles as a writer and executive producer. The show’s popularity has secured a renewal for a fourth season.

7 Celebrities You Didn’t Know Were Vegan

Some 15 years ago, veganism was considered a fringe movement for a handful of radicals. However, the tide has turned as this plant-based lifestyle choice has diffused into Western mainstream culture—Hollywood inclusive. Yes, beyond the glitz and glamor, celebrities are now more vocal about their pro-vegan stance, especially on the issues of animal rights and environmental conservation.

For others, adopting a strict no-meat dietary plan aligns more with the need to look and feel youthful, thereby maintaining that star image that drives their fans to adore them. As such, the vegan industry is worth over $43 billion and is projected to reach $85 billion by 2030. To celebrate this feat and its perks, let’s explore seven popular personalities you didn’t know were vegans.

Ariana Grande

Okay, this one isn’t a surprise to many, as Ariana Grande is one of the most prominent proponents of veganism in the Hollywood community. The singer-songwriter and actress who grew up in a family that loved all things Italian decided to go green in 2013, embracing fruits and veggies. While chatting with The Mirror, she disclosed that her decision was a result of her love for all animals and a desire to stay healthy.

In her words, “I love animals more than I love most people.” Grande’s commitment to being vegan saw her partner with PETA in 2014 to advocate for animal rights, which roughly 10 years later earned her r.e.m beauty line a PETA certificate for being cruelty-free. One thing is for sure: she isn’t simply a plant-based lover but also a strict macrobiotic and walks 12,000 steps a day.

Billie Eilish

The American singer and songwriter got into music early enough. At eight, she was already a member of the Los Angeles Children’s Choir where she sang. But what really brought her into the limelight was her debut song, “Ocean Eyes,” which she uploaded to SoundCloud in 2016—a move that has led her to release other songs, many of which have bagged her several nominations and awards, including two Oscars.

Beyond her musical success, Eilish is known for her strict vegan lifestyle, which she adopted a year after Grande’s but for a completely different reason—she was moved by the cruelty involved in dairy and meat production. Speaking to British Vogue, Eilish explained, “Once you know that kind of thing and you see it, it’s really hard to go back.”

Her stance on veganism extends to her business ventures, as her two signature perfumes with Parlux are vegan and cruelty-free.

Brad Pitt

One of Hollywood’s leading men and the first man to earn the title “Sexiest Man Alive” twice, Brad Pitt, has been vegan for quite many years. This is a decision that the actor made for environmental reasons. And if you thought avoiding meat was restrictive, you’d be surprised to learn that the award-winning 60-year-old actor has not had a drink in eight years, which could also be the secret to his youthful looks.

Travis Barker

Blink-182 drummer, as most people know him, and Kourney Kardashian’s spouse Travis Barker is the epitome of living a balanced life. The 48-year-old is not only a top rock star and fashion influencer; he is also a father of two and a proud vegan, whose decision to stay gluten-free came right after surviving a plane crash with his friend DJ AM in 2008—a fatal accident that left three of his other closest friends dead.

In an interview with Men’s Journal, Barker revealed that following his vegan dietary shift gave him “endless amounts of energy.” His go-to meals include vegan chicken and waffles, baked sweet potatoes, broccoli, blueberries, strawberries, acai berries, and almonds. Complementing his stance, Barker is also a staunch animal rights advocate and has partnered with PETA in the campaign “Make Some Noise for Animals.”

Fearne Cotton

Here’s one of Britain’s finest TV and radio presenters and founder of Happy Place, a well-being brand. As you may not have known, Fearne Cotton has been a die-hard vegan for over three decades now. Speaking to actress and vegan activist Evanna Lynch on The Chickpeeps podcast, Fearne revealed that she quit meat at age 10 after seeing a live report on the transportation of animals.

Over the years, Fearne gradually transitioned to a vegan lifestyle, with her meals typically consisting of rice or quinoa, eggs, broth, and lots of vegetable soups, along with occasional fish once a month. However, in recent years, she has completely skipped out on eggs to become fully vegan, which she describes as “energizing” and “not hard.”

This transformation inspired her to write “Happy Vegan,” a plant-based cookbook that celebrates the joys of vegan eating.

Will.I.Am

We have all been singing along to Black Eyed Peas’ popular hit, “Be Free,” but if you don’t know, Will.i.am is a long-time vegan advocate—maybe not as long as Fearne or Brad. Nonetheless, the 49-year-old rapper and record producer made the switch in 2017 after being diagnosed with high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Here’s what he had to say about the life-changing moment, “I switched my regimen, went plant-based and it changed my life. I lost 20 lbs. My stress levels came down naturally.” Since then, Will.I.Am has been an unrelenting advocate of the vegan cause.

Lewis Hamilton

The name “Lewis Hamilton” is associated with fast cars and speed on the track. But beyond being a seven-time Formula One world champion, Hamilton is a passionate environmental activist, and his plant-based diet is a big part of this. He made this decision in 2017 and has since used his platform to promote animal rights, encouraging people to boycott leather and protect animals.

Taking it a step further, Hamilton, who received his knighthood in 2021, opened Neat Burger, a vegan fast-food chain in London, with its first U.S. location in New York City. He joins the league of co-sports stars like the Williams Sisters, Colin Kaepernick, and Jermain Defoe, who have gone green for environmental and animal welfare reasons.

Conclusion

Celebrities are no doubt a source of hope to many people all over the world. The fact that they can make a decision as seemingly life-changing as going vegan and then help people looking up to them adopt it is pretty admirable. The celebrities above are great examples of such, and of course, our list is by no way limited to these select few. So, whether you are vegan or not, you’d agree that it’s inspiring to see these people make a difference.

Kanye West Is “Blessing” From God Julia Fox Says

Julia Fox reflected on Kanye West’s influence on her career, describing their brief relationship as a catalyst for reclaiming her creative autonomy.

The actress, who dated the Hip-Hop mogul in 2022, told “The New York Times’ Popcast” that West’s presence in her life was “a blessing.”

According to Fox, West’s disruptive energy allowed her to regain control over her professional image—something she struggled with for years.

“You know, it was actually a blessing that he came into my life,” Fox said. “He kind of shook up my team in a way where a lot of the creative control was then given back to me.”

Julia Fox admitted she had felt immense pressure to conform to a specific Hollywood image.

“I’d get into fights with my creative team about it and be really upset about it, but then ultimately always concede and just do what they wanted me to do because it was easier than arguing.”

Fox credited Kanye West for encouraging her to assert her own vision.

“When he left, it was like, ‘Well, I’m gonna do what I wanna do.’ I kind of felt like, ‘Oh my god, the world is my oyster.’ I’m my own muse,” she expressed.

Julia Fox observed that after their brief romance, she had wrestled back full authority over her image.

The pair’s relationship followed West’s separation from his wife, Kim Kardashian.

Even though their romantic involvement was short-lived, Fox admitted she noticed “red flags” during the time they spent together.

Speaking to the BBC, she revealed, “I chose to turn a blind eye to because it was fun, and exciting, and shiny, and you know just new.”

Fox acknowledged the relationship felt liberating at first.

“It felt like a relief in the beginning: ‘Oh finally, someone else can take the reins,’ but I think you know it became unsustainable and that’s why the relationship only lasted a month.”

Despite her struggles to be taken seriously in the fashion world while dating Kanye West, Fox insisted her style was her own.

“I started to hear this whole thing. ‘She’s only killing it in fashion because it’s Kanye.’ And I was like, ‘No, these are my looks, and I’m putting them together.'”

She emphasized that her efforts to make her own creative decisions often clashed with her team’s desires to keep her image more conventional.

Reflecting on the lessons learned from her time with West, Julia Fox concluded that taking control over one’s creative output is empowering.

“I felt like that was what I needed to push against, and prove that I’m doing this, and I wasn’t doing it before because my team just wanted me to look basic.”

50 Cent Shows Rare Moment Of Empathy For Diddy: “True Story”

50 Cent, one of Diddy’s loudest critics, surprisingly commiserated with the disgraced mogul over their issues with liquor companies. The outspoken rapper saw parallels between Diddy’s since-settled legal battle with Diageo and the G-Unit head honcho’s dispute with Suntory Global Spirits.

“Puffy made Diageo a lot of money with ciroc, they were fine with that because he didn’t own anything,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “Soon as he owns Deleón their relationship can’t work. I made @suntoryglobalspirits a lot of money with Effen soon as I own my own brands they did me dirty. They want black consumers, but they don’t want black business owners. True story.”

Diddy sued Diageo for racial discrimination in May 2023. The two sides settled the case in January 2024. Diddy gave up ownership of DeLeón Tequila in the settlement.

50 Cent filed a $6 million lawsuit against Suntory Global Spirits, formerly known as Beam Suntory, in March 2024. He accused the company of embezzlement.

“Changing the company name from Beam Suntory to @suntoryglobalspirits without correcting what was done to my brands @bransoncognac and @lecheminduroi doesn’t fix the problem and lacks honor,” he wrote in May. “I attempted to resolve the matter, not once, but twice. Now the legal process will play out publicly for everyone to see what really happened and how @suntoryglobalspirits would rather spend millions to protect and conceal criminal conduct instead of doing the right thing.”

50 Cent went to Capitol Hill to speak to congressional leaders about his beef with Suntory on Wednesday (June 5). His Washington, D.C. trip caused a social media stir due to him posing for photos with Republicans, including Rep. Lauren Boebert.

Diddy faced much bigger problems than online backlash. The Bad Boy Records founder is the subject of a federal investigation and faces multiple sexual assault lawsuits. 50 Cent is producing a documentary about Diddy’s various legal troubles.
