“How can I be mad at somebody who helped me?” he said. “Whatever people’s experiences were, that doesn’t mean it happened to me. I’ve been in this game 37 years. Don’t look at me as somebody who’s being a puppet.”

He emphasized his long track record as an executive, label head, and business operator — not just an artist. “I always had groups, labels, publishing… I’m not the regular artist. I’m a business person too.”

The Green-Eyed Bandit also acknowledged that today’s digital culture fuels outrage regardless of his intentions. “The internet is a different animal,” he said. “If I do good, they hate me. If I do bad, they hate me. It’s a catch-22.”

Still, Sermon made clear he refuses to let online noise derail his evolution.

The comparison comes after Diddy was convicted on two prostitution-related counts and sentenced to over four years in prison.

Ray J’s latest court filing reveals he consulted ChatGPT to strengthen his legal arguments. The AI chatbot allegedly “entrenched” his beliefs that Kim and Kris operate as racketeers through their business dealings.

Ray J and Kim filmed their intimate encounter during a vacation in Cabo to celebrate her 23rd birthday in October 2003. The tape remained private until February 2007, when Vivid Entertainment released it as Kim Kardashian, Superstar, just months before Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered.

Ray J now claims Kim and Kris orchestrated the release of the tape as part of a calculated publicity scheme.

He alleges they conspired with Vivid Entertainment to “defraud the public with their fake lawsuit” – referring to Kim’s initial legal action against the p### company that she later settled for a reported $5 million.

The current legal mess began in October 2025 when Kim and Kris sued Ray J for defamation.

They accused him of falsely claiming federal authorities were investigating them for RICO violations during a livestream. Ray J had suggested the feds were building a case against the family similar to the charges Diddy faced.

Ray J fired back with his own lawsuit in November 2025, alleging Kim and Kris violated a $6 million settlement agreement related to the sex tape. He claims they agreed never to publicly discuss the tape again, but broke that promise when Kim addressed it during interviews and on her reality show.

In his latest filing, Ray J accuses the Kardashians of credit card fraud, claiming they racked up $850,000 in charges on his family’s credit cards. He also alleges they sent lawyers to “extort” him after he discussed the sex tape on a podcast in June 2024.

“To me, Kim and Kris have repeatedly engaged in a criminal enterprise and racketeering activity, violating RICO over and over again,” Ray J declared in court documents. “I have no doubt about that.”

The singer’s attorney, Howard King, filed the paperwork asking a judge to dismiss the Kardashians’ defamation lawsuit. Ray J maintains his RICO claims are protected speech and that his accusations have merit.

The sex tape controversy has followed both Ray J and Kim for nearly two decades.

Even though “Refill” was released in 2012, you could add it to your playlist today, right behind such a song as “Folded” and easily hear the transition flow seamlessly, holding space in nirvana…and you probably should!

Music impacts your mood, and the calm, smooth vibration of “Refill” is like meditation, eyes closed, head nodding, catching all the feels, and still cool, at that.

It’s a detox from the accumulation of rough, hard-life lyrics and fast-lane beats. Even at the baseline, any Gen Zer can still enjoy this classic without compromise.

Elle Varner is currently working on a new album, which is yet to be titled and this time she is at the production helm.

She also has an upcoming film titled “Kismet Holiday,” which won honors at The Essence Film Festival. The film is slated for release in 2026. And, of course, Elle Varner is still touring and performing her hits like “Only Wanna Give It To You” featuring J Cole and the fan favorite, “Refill.”

Erica Banks Drug Bust Dash Cam Footage Released

Erica Banks found herself in handcuffs again after police released dash cam footage showing her December 8 arrest in a stolen vehicle packed with drugs.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star got pulled over at a Brookhaven gas station when cops spotted her black Cadillac with an obstructed license plate. Police ran the tags and determined the vehicle was stolen within minutes.

The newly released video shows the moment everything went wrong for the 27-year-old rapper.

Officers discovered that the SUV had been stolen from South Carolina back in November. But that wasn’t the worst part. Police found suspected MDMA in Erica Banks’ purse and enough marijuana to hit her with intent to distribute charges.

The dash cam footage captures driver Amani Dirton acting surprised about the dealer tags on the vehicle. Dirton told cops it was a rental, but couldn’t produce any paperwork to support the claim. That’s when things got real.

Banks faces two felony drug possession charges. Dirton was charged with receiving stolen property and multiple traffic violations. Both walked out of DeKalb County Jail two days later.

This marks Banks’ second major legal mess in metro Atlanta this year. She got arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in August after security found a stolen gun in her Louis Vuitton bag.

The firearm was reported stolen in 2018 from the same South Carolina area where this latest stolen car originated.

Banks told airport police the gun belonged to her “security” but wouldn’t give them a name. She joined “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” during season 11 in 2023 and is known for hits like “Buss It” and “Toot That.”

Aubrey O’Day suffered severe physical symptoms after watching 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary about Sean “Diddy” Combs, revealing how the film helped her understand she may have been drugged and assaulted without knowing it.

The former Danity Kane member was hospitalized on Wednesday with “vertigo, fever, dizziness, migraine, chills and vomiting all night” after viewing Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

She told TMZ the documentary re-traumatized her.

“Watching everything from Netflix unfold publicly, seeing parts of a world I only knew from inside my own limited lens, was like living it again, but this time with context and truth outside of me,” O’Day said. “I didn’t think it would traumatize me the way it did, but watching the pieces line up from a distance outside of myself has felt like my nervous system was reliving everything with more clarity than I ever even asked for.”

The illness forced O’Day to miss Danity Kane’s reunion show in Los Angeles, leaving Aundrea Fimbres and D. Woods to perform as a duo at the El Rey Theatre.

The documentary featured disturbing testimony about O’Day appearing “sprawled out on a leather couch, looking very inebriated” during an alleged 2005 assault at Bad Boy studios.

Learning this information for the first time, O’Day asked through tears: “Does this mean I was raped? Is that what this means? I don’t even know if I was raped, and I don’t want to know.”

Former Diddy bodyguard Gene Deal recently revealed explosive information connected to O’Day’s experience.

In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Deal said he heard Diddy threaten: “I’ma drug them out and pimp them out to my n####, they keep f###### with me.” Deal was referring to Danity Kane as a group.

“This s### is so crazy…because I heard him say it. But to know that he was doing it, it’s a whole nother f###### thing,” Deal said. “He said it. ‘I’ma drug them out and pimp them out to my n#####, they keep f###### with me.’ And he was talking about Danity Kane as a group. He didn’t single out any one of them. But to hear that he did it, that s### is crazy to me.”

Deal described feeling disturbed after watching O’Day’s emotional breakdown in the documentary.

“It makes you feel sick. I guess I wasn’t looking for it. But to see her pain, and to see that she had to experience some s### like that,” he said.

Aubrey O’Day has long maintained she was fired from Danity Kane for refusing Diddy’s sexual advances.

O’Day said she was hurt by Instagram comments suggesting she should have been tougher and done the show anyway.

“My heart is broken because I never want to let my DK sisters or the fans down,” O’Day said. “However, I can’t wait to be with my girls for our Connecticut show on the 13th.”

But O’Day better buckle up. 50 Cent, who executive-produced the Netflix documentary, recently revealed he has 140+ hours of unreleased footage that didn’t make the four-part series.

During a December 10 appearance on “The Sherri Shepherd Show,” 50 Cent teased releasing raw clips directly to YouTube.

According to Ebro, this is not just about radio. It’s about media companies trying to secure big deals and stay in the good graces of the people who control major licenses and major money. He said, “They all got to fold up cuz they all trying to renew their deals their licenses.”

Then he went even further and connected the situation to casino licenses in New York City.

50 Cent dropped a bombshell allegation about Diddy during his appearance on Sherri Shepard’s talk show. The rapper-filmmaker claimed Diddy secretly fathered a child with a woman who previously dated Tupac Shakur.

While the creator of “Power” revealed that his team couldn’t include this particular allegation in the Netflix series due to space constraints, he hinted that the additional material would be released elsewhere.

This revelation comes as 50 Cent continues to tease fans about unreleased footage from his Diddy documentary. The G-Unit mogul has been vocal about having extensive material that didn’t make the final cut of the Netflix series.

The documentary’s most shocking moments came from intimate footage of Diddy in his Park Hyatt hotel room just six days before his September 2024 arrest.

TikTok creator Lez (@lez.labella) posted a video about the situation on Nov. 29. She starts the video by saying, “Let’s play a game of ‘make this make sense.’”

Lez explains that she woke up that morning wanting to work out, but she wasn’t excited about any of her current gym options. “Didn’t want to go to Crunch Fitness,” she says. “Very tired of Crunch Fitness. But the wait is longer than she expected. “And then it clicks to me,” she says. “I’m two Jeezy songs in. Why am I still sitting here?”

Finally, she says she was approached by a young man who proceeded to go over the membership options and inform her about a Black Friday deal that involved paying just $1 until January. Lez was impressed by the facility and wanted to take advantage of the deal—just not before getting through her seven-day trial period.

“He said, ‘Well, here is the thing about the seven-day pass. We’re not going to honor it,’” Lez recalls. “I said, ‘Wait, run that back?’”

According to Lez, the sales rep doubled down and said that a one-day pass was $20. “I said, ‘I was going to purchase a membership, but this just seems really shady to me. It says that nowhere on your website. It said it nowhere in the mail. And then I get here today and you’re telling me I drove 30 minutes just to get here for you to tell me that you’re not going to honor the seven-day pass and you’re forcing me into a membership?’”

Lez understands that the Black Friday deal made it so that it wasn’t necessarily a financial risk, but it was more the principle at that point. “But the way they went about it was so sketchy, I don’t want to be at the gym at all anymore,” she says. “So of course I got in my car and as a Black woman, I’m going to research. Here is what the email said. Nowhere in that [expletive] does it say they’re not honoring the seven-day pass at this time.”

A rising Philadelphia rapper was busted for being a contract killer for Philadelphia’s Black Flag gang after spending eight months on the lam for three murders.

Blumberg Eerd, born Tayvine Jones, didn’t just rap about street violence; he lived it. Prosecutors say he executed three people in North and Northeast Philadelphia as part of his role as the gang’s designated hitman.

The murders weren’t random; they were calculated hits tied to gang rivalries and music beef. The first killing happened on August 23, 2020, when Blumberg Eerd shot 16-year-old Heyward Garrison at 2215 West Diamond Street. Two years later, he struck again.

Wesley Rodwell was gunned down on May 25, 2022, at 1600 West Erie Avenue after posting a music video that taunted Black Flag.

Blumberg Eerd didn’t appreciate the disrespect. Three months later, Blumberg Eerd carried out his third execution. On September 26, 2022, he ambushed another victim at 1600 Creston Street in what prosecutors called a planned assassination.

The drill rapper had been dodging law enforcement since April 2024. He changed his appearance, wore masks, only traveled at night, and constantly switched locations.

But the U.S. Marshals, Philadelphia DA’s Gun Violence Task Force, and Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office finally tracked him down.

Blumberg Eerd faces multiple first-degree murder charges plus witness intimidation for the Erie Avenue case. His co-defendants, Dymer Purnell, Deshawn Kinsler, and Michael Nelson, are already locked up awaiting trial.

The cops confirmed Blumberg Eerd was a Black Flag member involved in an ongoing war with rival crew Zoo Gang. Philadelphia’s drill rap scene has become increasingly violent as gang members use music videos to taunt enemies and escalate conflicts.

Popular artists like YBC Dul, Phat Geez, LGP Qua and Gillie Da King’s son YNG Cheese have been gunned down over the past several years.

Tatted Up Holly issued a public statement asking for distance from renewed online discussions about her past allegations against 50 Cent.

The model’s 2015 abuse claims have resurfaced as critics question 50 Cent’s credibility following his Netflix documentary about Diddy, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

The House Oversight Committee Democrats released 19 photos on Friday from Epstein’s estate collection.

One image shows novelty condoms featuring President Trump’s face spread across a table with a sign reading “Trump Condom $4.50.” The photo came from Epstein’s personal computer and email account.

The condom discovery adds another layer to the ongoing scrutiny of Donald Trump’s past relationship with Epstein. The convicted sex offender kept thousands of photos documenting his connections to influential figures.

Other images released Friday show President Donald Trump at parties with Epstein, along with photos of Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Woody Allen, Bill Gates and Prince Andrew. The photos don’t imply wrongdoing but demonstrate Epstein’s extensive network of high-profile contacts.

“It is time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends,” said Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee.

The White House pushed back against the photo release. “House Democrats are selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative,” spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said.

Congress passed legislation last month requiring the Department of Justice to release its files from the Epstein investigation by December 19. Donald Trump signed the bill, but those files haven’t been released yet.

The novelty condoms represent just one item among Epstein’s collection of sex toys and adult materials documented in the photo release. The House Oversight Committee said the latest batch contains more than 95,000 images total.

Rod Wave is being sued by a Florida photographer who claims the rapper used his concert photo on the Last Lap album cover and promotional materials without permission, igniting a copyright dispute that could cost the chart-topping artist.

According to a complaint filed Thursday, December 11, in federal court, Tampa-based photographer Allan Salas alleges that a photo he captured of Rod Wave performing in August 2024 was used without his consent.

The image, showing the rapper gripping a mic stand mid-set, was later featured as the official cover art for Last Lap, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for 56 weeks.

Salas says he was granted access to shoot the show but retained full rights to the images. He claims Rod Wave’s team was notified of his ownership but still used the photo on the album, merchandise and promotional materials for a 28-date arena tour.

“Even though the defendants had already commercially released the album, which contained unauthorized uses of the photograph, the defendants doubled down and tripled down on their unauthorized use,” Salas’s attorneys wrote in the lawsuit, according to Billboard.

The suit alleges that the image was also printed on T-shirts and other merchandise, further increasing the financial benefit to Rod Wave while Salas received no compensation or licensing agreement.

This legal challenge follows another major lawsuit earlier this year, in which Grizzly Touring LLC sued Rod Wave for $27 million, alleging he breached a touring contract and failed to return advance payments.

People are wondering what exactly is going on because Nicki built a career heavily supported by LGBTQ+ fans. They helped create the Barb movement long before she was a global superstar. They championed her style, her theatrics, her lyrics and her empowerment messaging. They were part of the foundation. Timothée Chalamet stirred the pot of internet speculation again after sidestepping questions about whether he’s the masked rapper known as EsDeeKid during a radio interview in London.

While promoting his latest film, Marty Supreme, Chalamet was asked directly by Heart FM hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden if he was secretly behind the viral rapper persona.

His answer?

“I’ve got no comment on that.” He followed up with a teasing, “I got two words on that,” before adding, “all will be revealed in due time.”

The cryptic exchange has only added fuel to a theory that’s been bouncing around TikTok and Reddit for months. EsDeeKid, a balaclava-wearing rapper with a Liverpudlian accent, gained traction after his track “LV Sandals” exploded online.

Despite the accent, some listeners have pointed out physical similarities between the anonymous artist and Chalamet, especially their eyes. Others have latched onto the coincidence that both names contain a double “e.”

Adding to the intrigue, Chalamet has never hidden his connection to Hip-Hop.

6ix9ine took his trolling to theatrical levels today (December 12), donning a vintage British naval outfit and sipping tea in a tropical paradise to ridicule 21 Savage over past comments about snitching and street credibility.

The three-minute video, posted to social media, was a direct response to Savage’s recent appearance on the “Perspectives with Big Bank” podcast, where he took a jab at unnamed artists who “cooperated” with law enforcement and were subsequently “canceled by the internet.”

Though 21 didn’t mention names, the implication was clear, and 6ix9ine wasn’t about to let it slide.

In the clip, the Brooklyn rapper mocked Savage’s British roots and his 2019 detainment by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. With exaggerated jokes like “You should be ashamed of where you’re from” and a sarcastic “bloody w#####,” 6ix9ine leaned into meme culture to hit back.

The video joked about Savage’s UK background, which first surfaced during his ICE arrest in 2019. That incident revealed the rapper was born in London, not Atlanta, as many had believed. Social media quickly lit up with memes, reviving the “British 21 Savage” trend.

The tension between the two artists isn’t new.

In 2021, they clashed in a heated Clubhouse debate hosted by Wack 100, trading barbs over loyalty, authenticity and street codes. That argument stemmed from 6ix9ine’s controversial decision to cooperate with federal prosecutors in his 2018 racketeering case tied to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

After being arrested in November 2018, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to nine charges and agreed to testify against fellow gang members. In return, he received a reduced sentence of about two years, avoiding the decades-long term he initially faced.

That cooperation, however, has followed him ever since. The “snitch” label has become a permanent part of his public image, especially in Hip-Hop circles that value street loyalty.

Now, as 6ix9ine prepares to return to prison for violating the terms of his supervised release, the feud with 21 Savage adds another chapter to his turbulent post-prison life.

In December 2025, a federal judge sentenced him to three months in prison after he admitted to multiple violations, including drug possession and a physical altercation at a Florida mall. Judge Paul Engelmayer, who also oversaw his original case, denied his request for home confinement and labeled him a “dumpster fire.”

He is scheduled to report to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn in early January 2026.

“Ebro in the Morning” aired its last show in New York City, ending a thirteen-year run that shaped how Hip-Hop listeners started their day.

The longtime trio of Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez signed off quietly on air, but the announcement hit with force once Darden and Rosenberg confirmed the news online. Darden kept his message brief on X, writing “It’s done. More to come.” Rosenberg reflected on the moment in his own post, saying “I lived out a childhood dream and it was amazing. Very excited for what’s next.”

The closure marks another seismic shift at HOT 97, which has been undergoing visible changes throughout 2025. Funkmaster Flex recently shifted into the 5 to 10 PM slot, and DJ Enuff and TT Torrez both exited the roster. Those moves fueled speculation that deeper cuts were coming, and Darden himself openly warned listeners that his show might be next in line.

“They’re gonna start,” he said earlier this year while discussing cuts from the station’s parent company. “This program right here, the amount of money they spend — which ain’t a lot, but it’s more than they spend on the rest of the radio station — when they get to cutting off fingers and toes up here? It’s gonna happen, bro. Don’t play with these people, man. Don’t play with these people if you worried about your mortgage and all of that.”

He doubled down in another candid moment, saying the new ownership had shown little interest in supporting the iconic brand.

“I’ve been telling y’all for months — years — that the new ownership of the big legend, HOT 97, didn’t give a damn about investing in this damn thing here,” Darden said. “No new studios. Making cuts, cutting staff, cutting this, cutting that. Then I hear last Thursday, (Funkmaster) Flex started tweeting about his last show and that they keeping our show on till 11 o’clock. I didn’t get an email, a text, I didn’t get a heads up, I didn’t get a nothing.”

“Ebro in the Morning” first formed in 2012, reuniting Darden with a slot he previously held from 2004 to 2007. Rosenberg had been part of the HOT 97 family since 2007, while Stylez joined the lineup in 2013. Across more than a decade, the show became a cornerstone of New York radio, known for its unfiltered debates, political conversations and cultural commentary.

Earlier this year he told Chuck Jigsaw Creekmur a bit of his journey as a radio impresario.

“I actually started on the air at 15. I moved to New York to get away from it and learn the business side—promotions, marketing, managing. I knew I wouldn’t be on the mic forever, so I made sure I understood every part of the radio game,” he said at 2025’s Summer Jam. “When the opportunity came to go back on-air in 2012, I took it. But it was also a standoff. I was VP of the market, and new management didn’t want me holding influence across multiple stations. So I bet on myself.”

Currently, Darden works at Apple and hosts the Rap Life podcast.

Its final broadcast caps a turbulent season for HOT 97, leaving a large shadow over what the future morning landscape will become.
