SIGNS: Federal Judge Arrested For Allegedly Helping Undocumented Immigrant Flea ICE

A prominent Milwaukee County judge was arrested on April 25 after being accused of helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents inside the courthouse.

On Friday (April 25), a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed Judge Hannah Dugan, 65, faces multiple felony charges including obstructing a federal agency and concealing a person from arrest. The charges stem from an incident on April 18, when Dugan presided over a pretrial hearing for Eduardo Flores-Ruiz—a 35-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico. Flores-Ruiz, who has lived in Milwaukee for more than a decade and worked as a cook, was facing three misdemeanor battery charges related to a domestic incident involving two roommates.

According to a 13-page federal complaint, ICE agents had secured an arrest warrant for Flores-Ruiz the day before his court appearance. On the morning of the hearing, six plainclothes members of the ICE task force, joined by FBI and DEA agents, informed Dugan’s courtroom bailiff they would arrest Flores-Ruiz after the proceeding.

What followed was an unusual courtroom altercation. The complaint alleges that Judge Dugan, after being informed of the agents’ presence, called the situation “absurd” left the bench and returned visibly upset. She reportedly told the federal team their administrative warrant was not sufficient and insisted they take the matter to Chief Judge Carl Ashley.

Witnesses said Dugan then expedited the hearing and “forcefully motioned” for Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer to exit through a side door leading to a hallway and the courthouse’s public area. Minutes later, federal agents chased Flores-Ruiz down and arrested him near the intersection of West State Street and North 10th Street. He has since been charged federally with illegal re-entry and remains in ICE custody at Dodge Detention Facility.

Judge Dugan’s attorney, Steve Biskupic, said the judge will “vigorously defend herself” against what he described as an unjust arrest. He noted Dugan’s long-standing commitment to due process and said she looks forward to being exonerated.

Her arrest has sparked national attention and political outrage. Critics of the Trump-era immigration policy, including Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, described the arrest as excessive and politically motivated.

“If a judge is being arrested in a courthouse, just imagine the chilling effect that it sends to other folks who would otherwise participate in judicial proceedings in our courthouse – and not just in the Milwaukee County Courthouse, but courthouses across the state of Wisconsin and courthouses across the United States,” Johnson said.

Meanwhile, conservative lawmakers applauded the action, framing it as a message to public officials not to obstruct immigration enforcement.

India Royale Defends Relationship With Lil Durk, Blasts Men For Not Going To “War” Anymore

India Royale wasted no time shutting down reports of cheating on Lil Durk after a video showing her hand on another man’s lap at a party exploded across social media over the weekend.

Court documents and insider reports have suggested the two secretly tied the knot before Durk’s October 2024 arrest, though neither has officially confirmed the marriage.

Still, she hopped on a livestream to clear the air as fans pointed out that the man was her best friend, Ant.

“Do y’all remember when men used to like, lay concrete, change tires, go to war?” she said. “Now these n##### on the internet gossiping all day. Like, what’s happening?”

The viral moment comes as India Royale continues to publicly back Lil Durk, who is currently facing serious federal charges tied to an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

Since Durk’s incarceration, Royale has been a consistent presence at his court hearings, showing unwavering loyalty.

She has previously denied any claims of infidelity, standing by Durk as he faces the possibility of life in prison or even the death penalty.

Prosecutors allege Durk orchestrated a 2022 ambush in Los Angeles targeting rapper Quando Rondo, resulting in the death of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab, as retaliation for King Von’s 2020 killing.

Lil Durk’s next major court date is set for May 8, when a federal judge will review a proposed $2.05 million bail package that includes $900,000 in real estate assets, $1 million in cash from Alamo Records and around-the-clock private security.

Durk has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Snoop Dogg Making Comeback To “The Voice”

Snoop Dogg is heading back to the red chair on The Voice this fall as NBC confirmed the Hip-Hop icon will return as a coach for Season 28 while also locking in a multi-year deal with NBCUniversal for his production company, Death Row Pictures.

The West Coast legend first joined the singing competition in Season 26, mentoring alongside Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire.

His debut run saw contestant Jeremy Beloate make it to the finale, ultimately placing fifth. Snoop did not return for Season 27, which featured John Legend, Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, and Bublé.

NBC’s rotating coach format keeps the show fresh, with two seasons airing each year. Snoop is the first confirmed name for the upcoming season, which is set to premiere this fall.

His return comes as part of a broader partnership with NBCUniversal, where his production company will develop content across the network’s platforms.

Season 28 of The Voice is scheduled to air on NBC in fall 2024.

Fyre Festival Brand Up for Sale After Festival Flop

Billy McFarland put the Fyre Festival brand up for sale on April 23 after canceling the second attempt at the infamous event in Mexico and issuing refunds to ticket holders.

The embattled founder, who served prison time for fraud tied to the original 2017 disaster in the Bahamas, said he’s stepping away from the brand entirely.

“This brand is bigger than any one person and bigger than what I’m able to lead on my own,” McFarland said in a statement on the festival’s website. “It’s a movement. And it deserves a team with the scale, experience, and infrastructure to realize its potential.”

The sale includes all Fyre Festival trademarks, intellectual property, digital assets, media reach and what McFarland called its “cultural capital.”

The announcement comes just one week after Fyre Festival 2, which had been scheduled for Mexico, was officially scrapped.

McFarland confirmed that refunds were issued to those who had purchased tickets.

“When my team and I launched FYRE Festival 2, it was about two things: finishing what I started and making things right,” McFarland said. “Over the past two years, we’ve poured everything into bringing FYRE back with honesty, transparency, relentless effort and creativity.

McFarland argued that Fyre still holds commercial weight despite the brand’s disastrous beginnings.

“FYRE is one of the most powerful attention engines in the world,” he said. “Since 2017, FYRE has dominated headlines, documentaries, and conversations as one of the world’s most talked-about music festivals.”

McFarland said the decision to sell was driven by the need for more capable leadership.

“We have decided the best way to accomplish our goals is to sell the FYRE Festival brand,” he said, citing a vision for the brand to expand into “entertainment, media, fashion, CPG, and more.”

He also revealed that several Caribbean nations had expressed interest in hosting a future version of the festival.

“We dove into the process—meeting with national officials, conducting site visits—and we’re confident we’ve found the ideal location for the festival,” McFarland said.

However, he added that he didn’t want to risk another collapse like the one in Playa del Carmen, where Fyre Festival 2 was initially planned.

“It’s clear that I need to step back and allow a new team to move forward independently.”

McFarland, who was convicted of wire fraud in 2018 and sentenced to six years in prison, has been attempting to rebuild the Fyre brand since his release.

He said he’s committed to continuing restitution payments to those impacted by the original festival.

“Giving control of the brand to a new group is the most responsible way to follow through on what we set out to do: build a global entertainment brand, host a safe and legendary event, and continue to pay restitution to those who are owed from the first festival.”

He ended his statement by thanking those who supported the relaunch.

“To the supporters, believers, and builders who’ve stuck with my team and me: thank you,” he said. “The next chapter of FYRE will be bigger, better, and built to last without me at the helm.”

Lil Kim’s 25-Year Old Ex Claims She’s Holding His Music Hostage

What a mess!

The ageism in Hip-Hop is taking over and now, Lil Kim is caught up in it. This isn’t a Shannon Sharpe situation, but there seem to be some similarities. Lil Kim has seemingly had a thing for younger men for quite a while.

I’m not judging her for that at all. Basically…who cares? I don’t care personally, but the young man in question cares. Why? This is where it gets diabolical. Apparently, she signed Tayy Brown, the young man she was dating to a record deal. That is a no-no.

Tayy is not holding back.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Onsite!® (@its_onsite)

Tayy is half her age, rounding out at 25 years old. Allegedly, after being in a relationship with Kim, he had a baby with someone else. That did not go over well with the Queen Bee, according to him. The video he posted talks about it, saying she’s mad he had a baby. As fate would have it, Kim has allegedly kept all of his music and is not giving it back to him. Again, his words.

Now, who has ownership of this music? That is the question. This is a business. If she was paying for the studio time or if the paperwork says she owns the masters, she may be entitled to the music.

But the way he’s painting the picture, Kim is a vindictive ex-sugar mama, who got upset with him and is now preventing him from making a living. This whole thing is silly if you ask me. Paperwork is paperwork, and lawyers are retained to lawyer. Get on the phone with him and handle business.

Check out the video below, when things were good between Kim and Tayy.

The way I see it, Kim has to address this at some point. If she does not do it publicly, she will definitely have to do it quietly. To me, she is punishing my dude. At the same time, my boy should have known better. You cannot sleep with the boss’s wife or the boss.

Kim is a sweet woman by all the data I have amassed, but I am sure if you upset her, she can offer up the wrath if needed.

I apologize for talking in circles over something so trivial. As soon as he called Kim “bro,” I should have known it would devolve into crap.

Kanye West Claims Playboi Carti Was Armed & Ready For Confrontation

Kanye West dropped a bombshell during a Twitch livestream when he accused Playboi Carti of pulling up to his Los Angeles hotel, the Chateau Marmont, armed with a gun over their escalating feud.

West, speaking bluntly to viewers, recalled the tense moment, saying, “This n#### told me he was at the Chateau [Marmont] with a gun, n####. What that mean, n####? And the n#### say he don’t be on the Internet. It’s like, if you don’t be on the Internet, what are we talking about, then? I ain’t say nothing, then.”

The accusation surfaced as tensions between the two rappers continued to boil following the March 14 release of Carti’s album, MUSIC, which allegedly cut Kanye’s vocals without warning.

West has since accused Carti of betraying him creatively and copying his style, siding with his enemies, and even contacting Kim Kardashian to request vocals from Kanye’s daughter, North West, for a song — a move Kanye publicly condemned.

In a heated March 2025 post, Kanye slammed Carti, writing, “CARTI YOU A CHILD YOU FAKE DARK I BEEN IN THIS S### 30 YEARS AND I SEEN AND KNOW WHAT IT REALLY IS I AM THE DON I AM THE LEADER THIS CARTI S### IS THE FINAL HEARTBREAK I CAN DEAL WITH CARTI IF NORTH WAS YOUR NIECE YOU WOULDN’T LET HER GET TRAFFICKED ALL THIS S### IS ABOUT CLOUT FOR ALL YALL THESE MY REAL KIDS.”

Adding fuel to the fire, in a social media post, Kanye claimed Carti told him he was “the worst enemy to have”, punctuated with laughing emojis.

Kanye also took a swipe at Kendrick Lamar’s guest appearance on MUSIC, posting, “I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

Playboi Carti has not publicly addressed the gun allegation or any of Kanye’s other claims.

Kanye’s Twitch stream, where he aired these grievances, was cut short after about 10 minutes when he was banned from the platform, reportedly for performing a Nazi salute.

Dody 6 Apologizes To Kendrick Lamar After “GNX” Meltdown

Dody 6 found himself drowning in drama this week. Homie is featured on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, GNX, which is a great look. Instead of riding high off what should have been the greatest opportunity of his career, Dody 6 aired out his life. And sadly, decided to disrespect Kendrick in the process.

It aged like already sour milk. Dody 6 took to the internet to call the Compton legend a “B-word” and announce that he was currently homeless. Let’s pause there.

Kendrick Lamar just gave this man a life-altering, lottery-like moment and this is the thanks he gets? This is how he responded? Kendrick was never supposed to be the sail on his boat. He just gave him the wind. It was always going to be up to Dody 6 to steer his own ship. Was he supposed to buy him a house?

Maybe a few real ones pulled him aside for a reality check and Dody 6 realized the error of his ways. He has issued a public apology to Kendrick Lamar.

What was he thinking? Kendrick Lamar is one of the most powerful forces in Hip-Hop right now. Instead of building on the momentum, Dody 6 chose chaos. Opportunities like that are rare. I wish he’d called somebody to vent instead of putting it on the internet.

It seems like the newer generation confuses internet antics for strategy. Kendrick was not the problem.

Check out Dody 6’s apology below and sound off in the comments. Did he mess up for good or can he still bounce back? Weigh in.

Charleston White Eviscerates Shannon Sharpe, Evokes Jesus & Gives Shocking Advice

Charleston White unleashed a blistering critique of Shannon Sharpe and his $50 million sexual assault lawsuit in a raw video posted online, dragging the NFL Hall of Famer’s legal troubles into the spotlight while offering his own controversial life advice.

White, never one to hold back, tore into Sharpe’s character.

“I got to get on Shannon Sharp’s ass now. Now, for one, he too mean to the b######. I already knew he way too mean to the b######,” Charleston White said.

His remarks came after Sharpe was hit with a civil suit accusing him of sexual assault, battery and secretly recording intimate encounters without consent.

The lawsuit, filed by a woman identified as “Jane Doe,” claims Sharpe violently assaulted her during two separate incidents in October 2024 and January 2025, ignoring her pleas to stop. The woman alleges they had a rocky two-year relationship that spiraled into threats and abuse.

Sharpe has firmly denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” and accusing the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of orchestrating a “blatant set-up.”

In response to the accusations, Sharpe temporarily stepped away from his ESPN duties, with the network backing his decision, saying they “agree with Shannon’s choice to step aside.”

White, meanwhile, didn’t hold back on what he thought led to Sharpe’s predicament.

“That’s why I stay at the strip club f###### with real hoes. When you dealing with hoes and prostitutes, you ain’t got the problems. You dealing with these little b###### just trying to hit a lick,” White said, suggesting that Sharpe’s alleged involvement with young women was a recipe for disaster.

Adding fuel to the fire, Sharpe released explicit text messages between himself and the accuser, claiming Buzbee planned to release manipulated footage to tarnish his reputation.

Buzbee, however, alleges that Sharpe offered a $10 million settlement to make the lawsuit disappear — an offer the plaintiff reportedly rejected.

White continued his rant, criticizing Sharpe’s alleged choice of partners.

“You dealing with a young 20-year-old conniving manipulative low-down white b####. I’m talking about a dirty funky h####. You outta know better Shannon. Boy, I ain’t f##### a white girl about 15, 20 years. When I do f### a white girl, she going to be a hoe. What a bonafide hoe. A stomp down hoe.”

White wrapped his tirade by invoking religion in a way only he could, saying, “See this why I’d be in the strip club having fun with them hoes cuz Jesus kept a hoe named Mary Mack. Hoe got to walk with Jesus and his 12 disciples. A b#### didn’t get to hang out with the savior. Only a hoe did.”

Halle Berry Professes Deep Appreciation For Hip-Hop – Here’s Why

Halle Berry embraced Hip-Hop’s admiration for her beauty and elegance this week by thanking artists for decades of lyrical shout-outs in a heartfelt social media post.

The conversation began when a user messaged Berry, saying, “Halle Berry may be the most rapped about woman in history. Imagine being that fine.”

The Oscar-winning actress replied to her official X account, “and I appreciate each rap song reference. what are you guys’ favorite?”

Berry’s post quickly caught fire, drawing a response from Hip-Hop icon Missy Elliott, who chimed in after Berry revealed that Elliott’s 2002 hit “Work It” was her favorite song referencing her name.

Berry, 57, has long expressed gratitude for how Hip-Hop culture has celebrated her, often describing the mentions as flattering.

She has said she cannot choose a single favorite because “they all mean a lot to her,” according to her previous public statements.

Over the years, Berry’s name has been woven into the lyrics of nearly 1,000 rap songs, making her one of the most name-checked women in the genre’s history.

Among the most famous tracks that reference Berry are “Work It” by Missy Elliott, “Money Trees” by Kendrick Lamar, “Beach Is Better” by JAY-Z, “F**kin’ Problems” by A$AP Rocky and “Halle Berry (She’s Fine)” by Hurricane Chris.

Did “Daredevil: Born Again” Flop Or Are There Racists Hating On “Progressive” Marvel?

First of all, Daredevil: Born Again was amazing. The show, which recently had a grand finale, was a true treat to watch. Fans of the original series, a product of Netflix, felt sustained and satisfied. But, now we have to deal with the reality of ratings.

Daredevil and Disney+ could be biggest Marvel’s biggest misfire ever.  This is not rooted in the creative, but the Nielsen. The Born Again reboot did not even crack the Nielsen ratings charts, according to recent reports. They charge not one single episode has made the ratings cut. Before we dig a bit deeper, let us compare and contrast.

Meanwhile, Hulu’s Good American Family, a complete different platform, managed to clock 344 million minutes. Daredevil would’ve needed about 172 million minutes per episode. It didn’t even get close to the Nielsen Top 10. Yikes.

Disney+ automatically registers with Nielsen’s tracking systems, also an industry standard. Disney’s got inroads to Samba TV too, but those numbers have not come in for Daredevil: Born Again. There is still some serious hope.

Marvel die-hards are out there and the critics are feeling that this is thee show. Could the rest of the city but jumping the bandwagon late? Not likely, based on traditional thought. Nielsen’s method accounts for total series views, so if Born Again had a binge momentum, we’d see it. Still there is hope! The overall Rotten Tomatoes ratings are through the roof.

There is already a Season 2 of Born Again announced, which will continue to develop The Punisher, Ms. Marvel, Bullseye and other characters that began to emerge. And, be clear: they have already started shooting and they have already announced March 2026 has the date. I am here for it.

Kevin Feige, we got this!

Disney+ may have a long range issue, and Season 2 of Daredevil is probably part of the long range solution. Bluey — the Australian cartoon juggernaut – is great and all, but DD is the gift that keeps on giving. We are not too concerned with Moana 2 or whatever else they say will save the platform.

When Marvel rolled out Disney+ shows, Feige promised “movie-quality” MCU storytelling. Daredevil: Born Again is that good look that we’ve come to know and love about the franchise. Some wack jobs have tried to accuse the show of having an “agenda,” we the people say “GTFOHWTBS.” Was there an agenda when police officers adopted the Punisher logo to justify their brutality? The Disney double down is appreciated.

Haters are gonna hate, racists are going to bait, but we’re going to move forward.

Up next? Ironheart, Wonder Man, Thunderbolts and the much-hyped Fantastic Four reboot have us cautiously hopeful. Captain America: Brave New World spoke volumes at the box office. How will these others fare? We’ll soon see.

Marvel has us drooling at the sight of  Avengers: Doomsday, but Daredevil and other shows maybe taking the heat for overall burnout. When that happens, sometimes you just have to sit still, ride it out until the AC kicks in.

Kanye West, Pope Francis & Donald Trump Created Classic Conspiracy Collision

Hear me out here. We have to keep our eyes and ears open. There was nothing but Pope coverage for the last few days and then there was Kanye West. These are the times when people take advantage and use the diversion to do just about anything when we are looking the other way. Be clear: when something monumental takes over the headlines, something else often slides under the radar.

The Pope Dying Is More Than Just a Catholic Thing

The first Latino pope in history is gone, dying on Easter Monday (April 21). That alone is huge. May he rest well. This pope was a symbolic giant in global religion, politics and also a moral authority. Whether you were tuned into Vatican vibes or not, his existence meant something globally. His death? Even more so. We saw non-stop tributes, retrospectives and a funeral broadcasted like the Super Bowl. That wall-to-wall coverage was there. And while CNN and BBC lineed up a thousand talking heads to explain Vatican traditions, a few important things might be slipping through without our collective gaze.

EXCLUSIVE: Big U Says “Orange Man” President Trump Could Get RICO Charges Dropped

The Kanye Diversion

Ye. The man, the myth, the meme. When in doubt, bring out the MAGA hat, cryptic tweets, wild fashion, social media scrubbing or a surprise drop. This week, he decided to tell everybody he “performed” on his own cousin. Oh, got you. Right as the pope passes.

Kanye is walking, talking chaos. People keep trying to figure out his marriage status, why he’s trolling or why he’s wearing a KKK robe. We need to be focusing on the legislation, wars, coups, executive orders or drone strikes. I’m hearing about that right now. I admit I don’t see anything, but I wouldn’t doubt it exists somewhere in the world. Trump actually did a a crazy move recently. I suspect he wants to outshine the fact that China is sonning him like crazy. Read up on some of that here.

And now we have the Shannon Sharpe debacle.

What Should We Be Looking For?

  • International Politics: Keep an eye on the Middle East (always), but also Eastern Europe. Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan—conflict escalation could be taking shape while global eyes are glued elsewhere.
  • Executive Orders in the U.S.: Has the President signed anything monumental while we’ve been emotionally preoccupied? Look at the Federal Register. Quiet policy changes on climate, surveillance, immigration, or education tend to get dropped when the press is distracted.
  • Corporate Announcements: Mergers, layoffs, and billion-dollar deals often get “Friday news dumped” during big news cycles. And weekends following huge global events? Prime time for releasing bad or controversial news.
  • Tech Moves: Surveillance tech, TikTok bans, deepfake laws, crypto regulation. Crypto Bros gave more to Trumo than anybody else. Believe something is afoot.

Scream conspiracy just to be safe. Or better yet, whisper. The word is they are snatching people up.

Oh, by the way, China says Trump is lying.

Donald Trump Rips NFL Over Shedeur Sanders Controversy—Young Thug Weighs In

Donald Trump slammed the NFL, while Young Thug offered a surprising boost to Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL Draft drama, which concluded on Saturday (April 26).

Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, entered the draft with impressive college numbers but still found himself overlooked while quarterbacks like Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and Dillon Gabriel were selected ahead of him.

Trump took to Truth Social, where he eviscerated the NFL over the shocking turn of events.

“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be ‘picked’ IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!” Trump fumed.

Young Thug also weighed in by posting an uplifting message on social media that read, “Tom Brady didn’t go first round kid.”

The Atlanta Hip-Hop star’s words quickly caught fire online, resonating with supporters of the Sanders family. The message served as a reminder that even legends like Brady faced early career setbacks.

Analysts and insiders floated theories about Shedeur’s unexpected slide through four rounds without being called, until the Cleveland Browns picked him in the fifth.

They ranged from alleged bias against his family to reports that some scouts viewed him as “arrogant” and “entitled.”

Despite the disappointment on draft day, Shedeur kept his head high.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, he posted, “Thank you GOD for EVERYTHING,” signaling gratitude rather than frustration.

At his draft party, he enthusiastically addressed the crowd, saying, “We all didn’t expect this, of course, but I feel like with God anything’s possible. I don’t feel like this happened for no reason. All this is, of course, fuel to the fire. Under no circumstance, we all know this shouldn’t have happened, but we understand we’re on to bigger and better things. Tomorrow’s the day, we’re going to be happy regardless. Legendary.”

Playboi Carti Is Confusing & Chaotic But Lowkey Brilliant

After five long years of silence, Playboi Carti finally dropped his latest album, MUSIC, on March 14—and, as expected, the internet erupted. Some fans praised its fearless experimentation, while others were left completely baffled. For me though, it felt like the natural evolution of an artist who’s always thrived on chaos and reinvention.

MUSIC is Carti at his most unpredictable. It’s expansive, erratic, sometimes flat-out confusing—but somehow, it still feels intentional. I’m not the biggest Carti fan by any means, but I’ve always been curious to see how his sound would evolve, especially after Whole Lotta Red. That project leaned into a raw, vampiric aesthetic laced with punk and funk energy. While it didn’t completely land for me, it sparked enough intrigue to keep me watching.

Now, I’ve always been partial to the earlier stuff—Playboi Carti and Die Lit—where his playful, experimental flow and minimalist beats felt exciting and new. Songs like “Foreign,” “R.I.P.,” “FlatBed Freestyle” and “Love Hurts” still get heavy rotation from me, way more than anything on Whole Lotta Red. So going into MUSIC, I was curious: would Carti keep riding the voice-change wave he debuted on Travis Scott’s “FE!N”? I wasn’t into the track itself, but like everyone else, I was hypnotized by that bizarre new vocal tone. Once I realized it was Carti, I needed to know—was this a one-off, or was he fully leaning in?

From “FE!N” to “Carnival” to “Timeless,” it became clear: this wasn’t a gimmick—it was a full-blown persona. And I was all in.

When I hit play on MUSIC, I expected Carti’s signature punk-rage energy—but the opening track “POP OUT” still caught me off guard. That ear-splitting production and aggressive delivery? It felt like sonic whiplash. I won’t lie, I wasn’t feeling the first few tracks. It sounded like pure noise. But then “EVIL JORDAN” dropped, and everything shifted. The production smoothed out. Carti found a pocket that wasn’t just rage for rage’s sake—it had shape, focus, a weird kind of beauty.

That track became the turning point, the axis of the album. From there, MUSIC unfolded into something more dynamic. And while I wish he had kept the original guitar-laced version of “EVIL JORDAN,” the final cut still works.

Songs like “FINE SH*T,” “CHARGE DEM HOES A FEE” and “FOMDJ” kept me locked in. The production quality is wild, and Carti’s presence is undeniable. Love it or hate it, you feel it.

Now, a month after release, I can say it: MUSIC holds up. In fact, it’s one of those albums that gets better the more you live with it. What felt abrasive at first now feels like deliberate experimentation. The voice switches, unpredictable flows, chaotic energy—they don’t feel like mood swings anymore. They feel like calculated risks from an artist creating in his own universe.

Carti isn’t trying to top Die Lit or replicate Whole Lotta Red. He’s not chasing hits. He’s building a world. And that, more than anything, is what makes MUSIC special. He’s evolving, he’s fearless, and he’s not asking for permission.

What makes this his best project to date? MUSIC has something for every Carti fan. If you’re into the vamped-out rage of WLR, you’ll find tracks that hit like mosh-pit anthems. If you prefer the melodic bounce of Die Lit, it’s in there too. Even fans of the self-titled debut will hear echoes of that playful, magnetic energy. MUSIC is a full-circle moment—Carti in every form: vamp, baby voice, punk rock demon, avant-garde innovator.

It’s not always easy to digest. It’s jarring. It’s bold. It’s annoying at times. But that’s Carti. And whether you love every track or skip a few, there’s something in this project that’ll pull you back. Maybe it’s the production. Maybe it’s the ad-libs. Maybe it’s the feeling that you’re listening to something being built in real time.

Top 3 album of 2025? I’m not ready to say that—yet. But let’s just say, it’s in the running. And that’s saying a lot.

Lizzo Says Quitting One Daily Habit Changed Everything

Lizzo opened up about her wellness journey and mental health reset during a TikTok Live, sharing how ditching coffee and adopting a calorie deficit helped her shed weight and find balance.

The 36-year-old artist said she previously drank “two to three” sugary Starbucks drinks daily but gave up caffeine to “regulate my nervous system.” She explained, “I’ve been working to get my anxiety under control for years.”

The “Good as Hell” singer said she still enjoys sweets but in moderation.

“I do something sweet. It’s gotta be with some sort of like carb. I’ll have like almond butter and toast. So, everybody’s body is different. Find out what works for you,” she said. “What works across the board, science-wise, is calories in versus calories out.”

Lizzo said she decided to focus on a calorie deficit after recognizing her tendency to binge eat. “I had to start applying a calorie deficit, because I was prone to binging,” she said.

She also described how she used to rely on food and alcohol to cope with emotional stress.

“I loved to distract myself with food. I loved to distract myself with drinking. I loved to distract myself with problems that I would create. I would love to do that. And I stopped doing that,” she said. “And I just focused on me.”

In addition to changing her eating habits, Lizzo said she turned to meditation and intentional solitude to help calm her mind.

“I meditated. I calmed myself down. And I isolated a little bit, but not like made myself lonely, not the way I used to when I was depressed. I isolated myself in a mindful way where I had no distractions.”

Kendrick Lamar Accused Of Leaving “GNX” Collaborator Homeless

Dody6 is blaming Kendrick Lamar and their “Hey Now” collaboration for his homelessness in a profanity-laced rant posted to social media this week.

The California rapper, who appeared on Lamar’s GNX album, unloaded his frustrations in a string of videos, claiming the high-profile feature didn’t deliver the life-changing results he expected.

“That f###### song with Kendrick ain’t change s###,” he said bluntly.

In one clip, Dody6 revealed his current living situation. “I lost my house… I’m homeless… I admit that… I fell down, I’m bounce back,” he said.

Referencing the Rolling 40s Crip subset, he added, “I’m still from 40s… I’m still over here… You act like a n#### got a million dollars for that s###.” He continued, “Only thing a n#### got is some clout and f### clout!”

The outburst didn’t stop at Lamar. Dody6 took aim at the broader Hip-Hop industry, threatening violence against unnamed rappers. “I’mma beat they ass on the beat and I’mma kill them in real life,” he said.

The rapper also expressed disappointment over the financial outcome of the collaboration, questioning why he didn’t see a major payday.

“Ain’t do s### for him,” he said of the track, adding that he expected to make “a million dollars” off the feature.

In another video, his tone shifted slightly as he acknowledged his circumstances. “I’ll see what’s going on… it’s an unfortunate situation,” he said.

Adding to the controversy, an alleged text message from Dody6 surfaced online.

In it, he reportedly asked someone to post, “Dody is on meth and say k dot is a b#### ain’t tapping in.”

The GNX album, released earlier this year, featured a roster of emerging and established artists. Dody6’s appearance on “Hey Now” was one of several collaborations on the project.

BigXthaPlug Opens Up For First Time About His Son’s Autism

BigXthaPlug is stepping away from the mic and into a more personal spotlight, revealing for the first time his experience as a father to an autistic son as part of the Autism Society of America’s “Autism Is” campaign.

The Dallas-born rap heavyweight, known for platinum hits like “Texas” and “Mmhmm,” is using his platform to speak directly to families navigating autism, especially in communities where awareness and resources are scarce.

“As a dad to an autistic son, I’ve seen the importance of being understood for who you truly are,” he said. “This is personal for me—it’s about sharing our journey, showing up for my son, and breaking down the walls around autism. It’s about being real, spreading awareness, and making sure no one feels alone in this.”

The “Autism Is” campaign centers on lived experiences and aims to dismantle stereotypes by amplifying authentic voices across the spectrum.

BigXthaPlug’s involvement brings visibility to an often-overlooked intersection of Hip-Hop culture and neurodiversity advocacy. With his 6-year-old son in mind, BigXthaPlug is pushing for broader understanding.

“It’s not just about awareness,” he said. “It’s about acceptance, access and making sure every kid gets what they need to thrive.”

The Autism Society, the oldest grassroots autism organization in the U.S., supports more than 500,000 people annually through its 70-plus affiliates.

The group’s campaign highlights that Autism is not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis—some individuals need lifelong care, while others live independently with minimal support.

BigXthaPlug’s decision to speak publicly comes at a high point in his career.

His sophomore album, Take Care, debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and has racked up over three billion streams. He recently wrapped a sold-out, 30-city tour and performed at Coachella.

Still, despite the accolades, this moment marks a different kind of milestone.

“This is bigger than music,” he said. “This is about my son. This is about our story.”

French Montana Was All Smiles—Until This Diddy Question Made Him Walk Away

French Montana Walks Out on “Reporter” After Diddy Question

It’s crazy how things work these days. You barely pull up to AllHipHop anymore, but you’ll entertain any Average Joe with a camera. It makes no sense. Shout out to French Montana, though. We’ve actually been to his house in the past. Hung out when he dated Khloé Kardashian. He had a pet monkey and all that.

Recently, Frenchie was spotted at an airport and approached by a so-called “reporter.” It could have been someone lurking around asking celebrities questions in hopes of getting a viral clip or an actual reporter.

At first, the person asked French a pretty harmless question about the Met Gala and this year’s theme. Cool, right? But just as quickly, the conversation veered straight into the deep end of the pool. Those “Diddy” waters run deep. Yep, he went there.

French and his team didn’t hesitate. They immediately shut down and walked away. Now, what’s funny is that French could have easily answered, brushed it off and kept it moving. But clearly, he wasn’t in the mood for any surprises. He mumbled “come on…” and bounced. It seemed like French initially trusted the guy to stay professional or reasonable, but he crossed that line. Part of me respects it, but the rest of me knows it was going to go left.

From there, it got messy. The “reporter” kept recording, even after it was clear French didn’t want to engage. To make it worse, he was live streaming. The whole thing was seen by others. People in his comments hyped him up but also told him to be careful. At the end, the guy flexed like he was ready to do something, insisting he “wasn’t scared.” Well, of course you’re not scared. You’re standing in an airport filming someone who’s just trying to catch a flight.

Let’s be real: that dude will probably never get close to French Montana again. If he does, it’ll be a miracle. This whole situation is a reflection of how chasing clout for pop views has shifted the game. TMZ and similar outlets have completely changed the culture, encouraging randoms to prioritize viral moments over real journalism. At AllHipHop, we actually respect the artist and the culture. If sensitive topics come up, you approach them with dignity and respect—not ambush tactics. Oh well.

Hopefully, we’ll catch up with French again under better circumstances and have a real conversation. Until then, y’all have a great day—and remember, real media still matters (and exists).

Lil Durk Uses His Incarceration To Spread Word Of Islam As Murder-For-Hire Case Hits Pivotal Turn

Lil Durk’s bid imploring a federal judge to reconsider his bond in his murder-for-hire case has gained significant traction just as he has been seen making good use of his pretrial detention.

During his recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Lil Durk’s father, Dontay “Big Durk” Banks discussed his continued support of his son as he fights the federal case linked to a 2022 Los Angeles shooting. While speaking on the specifics of his son’s unfortunate experience being incarcerated in a federal California prison facility since his October 2024 arrest.

However, instead of remarking on the negativity surrounding his son’s detainment, Dontay instead chose to reflect on the transformation for the better that he insists Durk is undergoing.

“What Allah is doing for us right now, building us to be a better man, is greater than what they trying to do to us and trying to tear us down,” Dontay Banks said around the 21-minute mark in the interview.

As Dontay continued, he spoke specifically about how Durk is utilizing his incarceration as a

“He definitely building, he was telling me when he came in there, there was like four Muslims on the block,” Dontay said. “He said now it’s 17 Muslims on the block, so he in there—converting. So that’s a good thing so he in there you know keeping it going keeping the work going.”

Just as news of Durk’s dedication to converting prisoners to Islam began reaching social media, news broke that Christy O’Connor, the other high-profile lawyer representing Durk alongside attorney Drew Findling, submitted a court filing which serves as an application for bail or reconsideration of order setting conditions of release or detention on April 23.

A screenshot of the court document began circulating on social media on April 24, revealing that a federal judge has approved a request for a hearing to reconsider the bond conditions of the Chicago rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks.

According to the newly filed court document from the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Magistrate Judge Patricia Donahue signed off on the request, and Durk will learn his fate in the matter following a hearing set for May 8. Durk, who remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, was previously denied bail in December 2024 after a judge ruled that “there is no condition or combination of conditions that will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” citing his alleged influence over others involved in violent activity.

Young Thug On 2-Year-Plus Incarceration: “I’m Too Big For Jail But Not Too Big For God”

Young Thug has opened up about his extensive incarceration while fighting his YSL RICO case, the trial itself and his distance from Gunna in his first interview since his release in 2024.

After spending over two years behind bars as part of Georgia’s high-profile YSL RICO case, Young Thug is finally speaking out in a rare and raw interview with GQ.

Of the many topics the Atlanta rapper reflected on, which include his upcoming album, UY SCUTI, Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s rap beef and more, one of the most moving subjects he spoke about was the surreal experience of incarceration.

For Thugger, jail wasn’t just confinement—it was a wake-up call.

“I think I’m too big for jail,” Young Thug said. “But I think like I’m not too big for God.”

Comparing his time in confinement to divine intervention, Young Thug viewed his incarceration as something spiritually orchestrated.

“God could put the biggest person in there I feel like I’m taller than the jail, but somehow he could just like squish me in there,” he said. “I think it was like God, a God thing, just showing me like, you know, situations, real friends and who you with, who with you and how to move and how to be.”

The time away gave him perspective and left him questioning why he had to be removed from the world to receive the message.

“I always felt like I was a good guy,” he said. “So why do I gotta go to jail for you to show me something?”

At another point during the interview, Thug shared his remarks about the YSL case concerning the prosecution’s use of rap lyrics as incriminating evidence.

For Thug, it was both as surreal and frustrating as his incarceration in the first place.

“It felt kind of crazy and cool,” he responded when asked how it felt to have his lyrics used against him as evidence. “Like ‘oh, everybody listens to me,’ but crazy—like the first f###### amendment is freedom of speech. It’s wild.”

He joked about not being sure which exact amendment it was but was clear on the principle that artists should be able to express themselves without weaponizing it in court.

In doing so, he also made a straightforward admission about his relationship with Gunna—a co-defendant in the YSL RICO case- before Gunna accepted an Alford plea during early proceedings in late 2022.

“I know everybody wondering that,” Thug said when asked about what kind of terms he and Gunna were on. “I don’t know.”

Young Thug’s bombshell admission about Gunna follows recent speculation about his status and future at YSL Records, considering the deterioration of his relationship with the label’s mastermind.
