Damon Dash Family Battle With COVID Causes Courtroom WAR

Dame Dash clashed with attorney Christopher Brown as the Hip Hop mogul awaits trial for a sexual assault lawsuit.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Dame Dash asked a judge to delay the proceedings. His fiancée and co-defendant Raquel Horn tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday (September 4).

The trial was scheduled to begin on Wednesday (September 7).

“Raquel Horn has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing a full range of symptoms,” Dame Dash’s attorney Michael S. Traylor said. “Raquel Horn and Damon Dash are now quarantined in Chicago due to the forgoing.”

Traylor continued, “As a result, [Dame Dash and Horn] are unable to proceed with the defense of the matter on September 7, 2022 and are requesting a trial continuance in order to allow the defendants to recover. Defendants respectfully request that the Court set a Trial Setting / Scheduling Conference in approximately 30-45 days to determine potential trial dates.”

But Brown, a nemesis to Dame Dash in recent years, was skeptical. The attorney cited Dame Dash’s Instagram posts, which displayed his activity when he was supposedly quarantining.

“Frankly I don’t believe them,” Brown said. “We addressed a COVID situation in the past. I will not agree to a continuance for several reasons. First, Mr. Dash does not have covid and can come to Court. Second, I don’t believe Ms. Horn and it is clear that your clients have been traveling the country without any COVID precautions for the last week.”

He added, “I wondered if they intended to appear in Court. At this point, I believe I have my answer. They never intended to be here.”

Brown brought up the couple’s plans to attend an upcoming film festival In New Jersey. He also accused Dame Dash of perjury.

“Dash was not quarantining on September 5, 2022,” Brown said. “He was socializing and signing a perjurious declaration to avoid trial in Los Angeles. If Horn truly had Covid-19 on September 4, 2022, Dash’s attendance at and hosting of an event on September 5, 2022, maskless, is a heartless act designed to spread Covid-19 and harm others.”

Brown is the lawyer for photographer Monique Bunn, who is suing Dame Dash for allegedly groping her in 2019. Brown has represented multiple clients who’ve brought legal action against Dame Dash, who once called the attorney a “culture vulture” in a contentious deposition.

Dinner With Bow Wow Or Food Stamps: Twitter Explodes With An Overwhelming Vote!

Rapper Bow Wow used to be one of the most popular artists of his generation. But over the last few years, his stock has dropped tremendously.

Evidence of how low his stock has dropped comes in via Black Twitter. Usually, when an entertainer is trendy, that’s a good thing. This time … well … not so much.

The question was asked, would you rather have dinner with the So So Def rapper or a $2900 in food stamps, and overwhelmingly people chose the stamps (or EBT card).

Jean St. Patrick aka the Fat Haitian posed the question on Sunday, Sept. 4, around 11:08 in the evening.

Check out the responses to the offer.

“Dinner with who?? I will take a $100 food stamps over a dinner with bow wow.”

“I just seen a post saying $2900 in food stamps or dinner with Bow Wow!! Babyyyyyy the deep freezer gone be packed you hear me?”

“I’ll smoke bow wow a## for $2900 in food stamps wtf.”

This controversy is lining up simultaneously with his recent VIP Experience offer for $1000 to kick it with him during the Millennium Tour.  This proved to be just as disrespectful as the stamps question.

The Bow Wow VIP Experience

“$1k to meet bow wow or $2.9k in food stamps. Baby run me then stamps I can see him on YouTube!”

“So now Bow Wow is also doing meet & greets, pics w/fans and a VIP experience with him. My whole thing is Bow Wow am I getting some of this GOOD P##SY that I keep hearing about for this $1,000? Because if I am…..”

https://twitter.com/QshonBuckingham/status/1567112928788111363?s=20&t=gu7fbMNMJPg-B8Og9zAh6w

“U couldn’t pay me to go to a bow wow vip tour straight up.”

Would you pay money to kick it with Bow Wow or are you getting them stamps?

Kodak Black Was “Banned” From New York, But Pulled Up Anyway

Kodak Black aka Yak is one of the most beloved artists of the present era. I have not always known why, but that is a fact.

SHA EK said Kodak can’t come to New York. This all started from a Kodak verse that did not make it to Sha Ek’s album. Sha said he never even wanted the verse, but that’s something set up by other forces. Nevertheless, he has banned Yak from New Yawk. What does Kodak do? Pull up.

New York is a big city. In fact, each borough it big. So, its not a big deal that Kodak came to the town. What I find most interesting is that New York rappers are divided on a rapper from Florida. Now, that is new to me.

Wow. Anyway, Sha EK is the hottest, newest kid on the scene and he is making waves.

Check out the interview we conducted with him recently.

Lebron James And Drake Sued For $10 Million Over New Black Hockey Documentary

A $10 million lawsuit has been filed against NBA All-Star Lebron James, rapper Drake and entertainment mogul Future (Drizzy’s partner) over the rights of their new hockey documentary title, “Black Ice.”

According to the NY Post, the former head of the NBA Players Association, Billy Hunter, recently filed the claim in Manhattan state Supreme Court.

Listed in the filing are The Springhill Company and Uninterrupted Canada, Dreamcrew Entertainment, Stryker Indigo and First Take Entertainment, a film production company.

The lawsuit comes days before the documentary, directed by the Academy Award-nominated director Hubert Davis, is set to debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, September 10th.

Hunter, 79, alleges he is the only one with exclusive legal rights to produce any film about the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, a sporting organization that existed for 35 years between 1895 to the 1930s.

The former federal prosecutor is suing the three not only for $10 million but is seeking to participate in the profits from the documentary.

The complaint says, “While the defendants LeBron James, Drake, and Maverick Carter [LeBron’s business partner] are internationally known and renowned in their respective fields of basketball and music, it does not afford them the right to steal another’s intellectual property.”

He believes James and Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, cut a deal behind his back with the authors of “Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, 1895 to 1925,” George and Darril Fosty.

He also has listed them on the lawsuit, as Hunter reportedly paid the Fostys $265,000 for the movie rights. The Fostys believed Hunter only had the rights to a scripted project, not a documentary.

“A documentary is still a ‘motion picture’ and an ‘audiovisual adaptation’ and any claim to the contrary is absurd and made in bad faith,” Hutcher explains in the suit, suggesting James paid the Fostys six figures to breach their contract with him.

“The Uninterrupted defendants paid those sums to induce the Authors to breach their Agreement with Plaintiff.”

Now, they will see each other in court.

Hunter said, “I don’t think they believed the property rights would be litigated. They thought I would go away. They gambled.”

Reps for James, Drake, and the Fostys and their firms have not commented.

Vince Staples To Star In Scripted Comedy For Netflix

Today (September 6), Netflix announced the scripted program The Vince Staples Show will run on the streaming platform. The fictional series is loosely based on Hip Hop artist Vince Staples’s life.

The Ramona Park Broke My Heart album creator originally presented The Vince Staples Show as a digital series that featured cameos by Ray J and Buddy. Netflix’s upcoming version is set in Long Beach, California.

“It’s our mission to work with the best artists in the world,” said Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s Head of Comedy. “Vince has already established himself as one of the most talented young musicians today and we’re really excited about how his sensibility – and sense of humor – will translate into a unique comedy series.”

Staples, Ian Edelman, Maurice Williams, Corey Smyth, Calmatic, and Kenya Barris for Khalabo Ink Society will executive produce The Vince Staples Show. Edelman and Williams serve as co-showrunners. Calmatic will direct the first two episodes.

“I am excited to partner with Netflix and Kenya Barris on The Vince Staples Show,” said the Motown Records performer. “This has been something I have been developing for some time and I am happy it’s coming to fruition.”

Throughout his career in the entertainment industry, Vince Staples acted in films like Dope and Mutafukaz. He also made a cameo in season four of HBO’s Insecure sitcom. Additionally, Showtime cast the 29-year-old emcee in a pilot for The Wood.

Ramona Park Broke My Heart arrived on April 8, 2022. Prior to that body of work, Vince also released the studio LPs Summertime ’06 in 2015, Big Fish Theory in 2017, FM! in 2018, and his self-titled album in 2021. His catalog includes EPs and mixtapes such as 2014’s Shyne Coldchain II, 2014’s Hell Can Wait, and 2016’s Prima Donna.

Method Man Addresses Fans Upset Over Him Not Being Part Of Wu-Tang Clan Tour

Back in April, Nas and the Wu-Tang Clan announced the co-headlining “New York State of Mind” tour. One of the Wu’s most prominent members, Method Man, did not join his Hip Hop brethren.

Some fans wondered why Method Man was not part of the multi-city trek which kicked off on August 30 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Grammy-winning rapper addressed his absence on Instagram Live.

“I’m gonna clear this s### up once and for all. I’m gonna say this one last time,” stated Method Man. “I’m one of the nicest m############ in the world, but I am not a pushover. I have sacrificed so much over the years to satisfy the fans, and I’m pretty sure that’s vice versa and that’s why I love y’all, that’s why I don’t hesitate to go all out for y’all.”

He continued, “But to be dissatisfied or to even blame me for your experience is unfair. Very f###### unfair. My brothers are super-duper talented, with or without me. And I know a lot of people, or a few people, have paid their money to see me perform, but that bill said Wu-Tang Clan.”

Live Nation’s official announcement for “New York State of Mind” did not mention which Wu-Tang Clan representative would be hitting the road for the shows. However, the company’s blog post did list Method Man as a member of the group. Promotional materials for the tour also featured Meth.

“These things happen and dudes do have to feed their families. Albums don’t sell the way they used to, I’m pretty sure you guys know that,” Method Man told his followers. “So in order to preserve my lifestyle and to feed my family, I had to have alternative means of doing that. And I’m glad to say at 51 years old… I have options. Not everybody can say that. Everyone cannot say that they have options.”

The Long Island-born emcee added, “I f###### love Wu-Tang, wish I could have been on that tour with them. The booking came at a bad time. I was already booked to do a movie. [The] only reason why I’m coming back saying this is because of my love for my fans. The real fans. Not the ones that’d jump in your [direct messages] and curse you the f### out and call you all kinds of b######.”

In addition to being a Platinum-certified recording artist, Method Man is also an actor. His IMDb profile contains appearances in movies such as Belly and How High as well as television programs such as The Wire and Power Book II: Ghost.

Chris Rock Blasts Will Smith’s “Hostage” Apology Video

The details surrounding the Oscar Slap became one of the biggest entertainment stories of 2022. Rapper/actor Will Smith choosing to smack comedian/actor Chris Rock on stage at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony made international news.

Will Smith apologized for the violent incident during the Oscar broadcast. However, he did not mention Chris Rock in that apology. The former star of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air released a taped apology on his social media pages.

The nearly six-minute YouTube video – titled “It’s been a minute…” – includes Will Smith apologizing to Chris Rock. Smith also stated Rock apparently was not ready to speak with him directly about the situation.

According to Deadline, Chris Rock did have something to say about the Oscar Slap during his stand-up show at London’s O2 Arena this weekend. The routine reportedly included Rock saying, “F### your hostage video.”

The entire ordeal stems from Chris Rock joking about Will Smith’s wife while performing a comedic bit at the Academy Awards. Smith became upset about Rock making fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. The Girls Trip actress lost her hair due to alopecia.

“Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” said Rock, referring to a hypothetical sequel to the 1997 movie G.I. Jane which featured a bald Demi Moore in the lead role.

Will Smith then walked on stage, slapped Chris Rock, and returned to his seat in the front row. The Grammy winner also yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out your f###### mouth!” Later that same night, Smith won the Oscar for Best Actor for his work as Richard Williams in King Richard.

Kanye West: Adidas Don’t Want No Smoke

Kanye West’s internet battle against one of his business partners is not quite done. Over the last week, the billionaire also known as Ye has taken aim at the Adidas corporation for supposedly stealing his intellectual property.

In his latest round of targeted attacks over non-Yeezy Adidas sneakers having some similarities to Yeezy-branded shoes, Kanye West appeared to enjoy a victory lap. The Donda album creator posted an all-caps response to the company that is part of the Adidas Yeezy collaboration.

“I COULD HEAR THE JOY IN MY TEAMS VOICES TODAY,” posted West on Instagram. “ADIDAS DON’T WANT NO MORE SMOKE. THE MOVIE [CREDITS] ARE ROLLING.”

He continued, “THIS WAR WASN’T ABOUT MONEY. IT WAS ABOUT CONTROL OF OUR FAMILIES, OF OUR BUSINESSES, OF OUR STORY, OF OUR VOICE. I GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SETTLE THIS QUIETLY. NOW IT’S TIME FOR GAP.”

Ye Has Issues With Gap Too

Kanye West also has a business partnership with Gap, Inc. That alliance with the multinational clothing retailer also seems strained at the moment.

Ye returned to Instagram to share another post. Apparently, the 45-year-old entertainer/entrepreneur received advice from his lawyers on how to move forward regarding his issues with Gap.

The second Instagram post read, “Dear Ye, Your legal team recommends that we refrain from posting anything on Gap for another 10 days.” For the IG caption, West just wrote, “10 days.”

At one point, the multiyear West/Gap deal was reportedly valued at nearly $1 billion. The Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection arrived in stores this summer.

Swizz Beatz Backs Up Kanye West

Fellow Hip Hop producer Swizz Beatz recently came to Kanye West’s defense. The Verzuz co-founder even called for a boycott of Adidas in support of Ye.

“I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative!” wrote Swizz Beatz.

The Ruff Ryders affiliate added, “YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me!! [We’re] not buying these!!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas you’re supposed to be original, do the correct thing please!!!”

“My album ‘Me vs Myself’ drops 11/4/22,” A Boogie wit da Hoodie tweeted. The Twitter post included what appeared to be the official cover art for the Me vs Myself studio LP.

A Boogie has not released a solo album since 2020’s Artist 2.0. That collection debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart by earning 111,000 first-week units.

Additionally, A Boogie wit da Hoodie dropped The Bigger Artist in 2017 and Hoodie SZN in 2018. Hoodie SZN became the rap star’s first #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

At first, Hoodie SZN opened at #2 with 90,000 units. The album later rose to the Billboard 200’s top spot and remained at #1 for three weeks. It spent 126 weeks on the chart.

The RIAA certified Hoodie SZN as 2x-Platinum. Plus, A Boogie wit da Hoodie scored Platinum Awards for The Bigger Artist and Artist 2.0. His 2016 mixtape, Artist, also crossed the 1 million units sold milestone.

“Look Back at It” is A Boogie’s biggest hit to date. The Michael Jackson-inspired single made it into the Hot 100 chart’s Top 40 region, peaking at #27. The track is certified 4x-Platinum by the RIAA.

Back in 2020, A Boogie wit da Hoodie declared himself New York City’s rap leader with his “King Of My City” single. The Boi-1da-produced song lives on the Artist 2.0 album.

Swizz Beats Defends Kanye West; Calls For Adidas Boycott

Swizz Beatz has condemned Adidas claiming the brand is “dead wrong,” and called for a boycott in support of Kanye West.

The legendary producer called out the sportswear brand after Ye highlighted the similarities in some of his designs with non-Yeezy Adidas footwear. Swizz Beatz says supporters must do somethin about the “stolen” designs. He says if it can happen to Kanye West, it can happen to anybody.

Swizz took to Instagram to show solidarity with the Yeezy founder, writing:

“I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also!”

Kanye West has used his Instagram platform to call out his partners at Adidas, claiming they are attempting to sideline him. Among the many posts he shared this week, blasting the brand and its staff was one shaming the company for their alleged attempt to buy him out of his contract.

“The fact adi felt they could color my shoes and name them without my approval is really wild,” Kanye West wrote on Sunday (Sept. 5). “But I promise everyone adidas is not as wild as me. I really really care about building something that changes the world and something I can leave to my kids.

Ye continued, claiming Adidas “tried to buy me out for 1 billion dollars.” However, Kanye stated, “My royalties next year are 500 million dollars alone.”

He then fired a shot at Adidas VP Daniel Cherry, who he says makes $2 million a year, while “Yeezy’s are 68 percent of adidas on line sales.”

“You guys thought cause DCP Daniel Cherry Pop went to Warden that he could politely give me a billion dollars to hand everything I built over.”

Hip-Hop Artist, Sidewayz Billy, Hits His Mark of Success in the Music Industry

Music. It’s what connects all of us– from our ancient ancestors to our human brothers and sisters across the globe. Lemar Davenport grew up with the love of music, too, and he brought it with him into his adulthood. Music is the rhythm of life for many of us and Davenport creates music in many forms.

Lemar Davenport, known as Sidewayz Billy in the music industry, is a music producer. He has several albums released, all of which can be listened to on all Major Platforms(Apple Music, Spotify, iHeart Radio, and YouTube). Davenport, or Sidewayz Billy, produces smooth hip-hop and RnB, but Sidewayz Billy loves jazz too, both old and new. His inspiration to make music “is vibrations, mood, and personal experiences. I have had moments in my life and what makes it special is the fact that I feel people need those vibrations of confidence and zazz,” Sidewayz Billy says.

The moments Sidewayz Billy references are those hard moments in life when you’re unsure how you’ll persist and persevere. Sidewayz Billy lost the mother of his youngest daughter and instead of lingering in the grief, he remembered that she supported his dream of making music. So, when he got out of the marine corps, an audio engineer and close friend, MittenBoy Royal, and producer Wavy Davy (David McNally) supported Sidewayz Billy in his musical endeavors. Sidewayz Billy decided to record music as a tribute to the woman he loved: “It has been magic ever since.” Sidewayz Billy says.

His music has led him to powerful creativity that is sometimes difficult to shut down at the end of the day: “Music has a message that is spoken verbally and nonverbally in a production setting. Being a fan of music, listening to other productions, [it] always leads me to thought, [and] those thoughts create visions. I have something to offer every listener.” Sidewayz Billy says. His music is the catalyst for his passion in life, but one of his biggest challenges is time. He has so many ideas he just doesn’t have enough time in the day to manifest them all.

As long as Sidewayz Billy keeps producing, though, his ideas will come to life in some form at some point. It’s all about perseverance so he can create success for himself and inspire others at the same time. To Sidewayz Billy, success doesn’t mean money, but “hitting your mark, nailing your target, and most of us need to aim higher and think [bigger],” he says. “The biggest obstacle I have overcome so far is self and fear. So many of us, including myself, are so filled with fear that it consumes us [and keeps us] from what we really desire and deserve. Fear had definitely been a major obstacle I have overcome and getting out of my own way. [I was] afraid of public opinion.” Sideways Billy says.

He speaks his truth with the help of his music – it’s always what he falls back on. For Sidewayz Billy, creating music is hitting his mark for success. It’s what he dreamt of doing when he was in the marine corps, rapping for his battalion. Now, instead of rapping for his friends, his lyrics are shared with the world. Stay tuned for what Sidewayz Billy has in store as he continues to create and produce music with some of your favorite artists, at your favorite venues. He Also Has a Star Role in the Movie “GTA Murder City” on Amazon Prime and Tubi. You can also find him on Instagram, @sidewayzbilly

Why Being an Entrepreneur and a Musician Was a Challenge for Michael Stemley

Being an entrepreneur and musician can be very difficult, especially if you are transitioning from one to the other. When he first started out in business, Michael Stemley had no idea what he was doing, but he still found success as an entrepreneur by using his artistic talent to market his business. From then on, it has been quite a challenge for him to balance both businesses and be successful at them.

Early Beginnings

Since the age of 14, Michael Stemley has had the vision to become a force in the world of music where hip hop, jazz, rock, blues, reggae, country, rap, classical, gospel, and many others live. He has also envisioned himself being an entrepreneur in his own right, not just as a musician but as an artist and creative with interests outside of music. But after graduating from college, he became less focused on what it would take to get there because he wanted to do something different, like starting his own business and becoming financially independent.

Becoming an Artist

He wanted to create things that would make a change. That was his purpose, but it had come time to grow up. He didn’t want to go the typical route, but there were bills that needed paying. He eventually set out on his own and became an entrepreneur.  However, as a transitioning musician, he was still creating art while balancing life as an artist. The secret is learning how to deal with the uncertainty of life and using your creativity to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. After that, he started ML Production LLC, where he does all sorts of production work and Music development work.

Finding his Passion

Stemley’s ability to juggle his two careers for as long as he did is a testament to the significance of finding your passion. Doing what you love allows you to meet the challenges of work and still retain the joy in your heart. Finding your passion doesn’t have to be hard; it can happen over time or after a major life event. Sometimes, all it takes is one spark. His passion for Hip-Hop music led him to make this decision, but the music wasn’t something that came naturally to him. When Stemley first started singing at age 1, it was just because he liked listening to music.

His Influences

Michael Stemley’s success as a musician has been intertwined with his experience as an entrepreneur. He got his start in the industry by becoming an A&R. While being an A&R  he connected with the music icon R&B Legend Teddy Riley. Teddy quickly became not only one of his mentors but also one of his closest friends and business partners.

Black Lives Matter Sued For Allegedly Stealing $10 Million Meant To Fight Against Racial Injustice

Shalomyah Bowers, the new top dog for the national Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, is being accused of cheating the collective of activists out of $10 million.

Critics are alleging he was able to pay himself eight figures through fees from donors, according to the Daily News.

A lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that after Bowers became the organization’s head, he paid his own company Bowers Consulting Firm, cash and diverted resources from another collective, the Black Lives Matter Grassroots, Inc., which launched in June.

“Mr. Bowers decided he could not let go of his personal piggy bank,” BLM Grassroots charged in the complaint.

“Instead, he continued to betray the public trust by self-dealing and breaching his fiduciary duties. Instead of using the donations for its intended purposes, Mr. Bowers diverted these donations to his own coffers and intentionally took calculated steps to prevent those same resources from being used by BLM for on-the-ground-movement work.”

Bowers denies all of the allegations. He dismissed the lawsuit saying the plaintiffs are being led by California State University Pan-African Studies professor Melina Abdullah, who is trying to make a “power move by someone hellbent on achieving power and control” of the movement.”

“It’s the most insane thing I’ve read in a court pleading, and it’s signed under penalty of perjury when they know it’s a lie,” Bowers said before revealing recent foundation audits show no one has taken $10 million.

“We are in the process of correcting things, of fixing things, and dealing with disgruntled people who want to take over the group,” he added.

A year ago, in April 2021, one of the founders, Patrisse Cullors, resigned from her post after people alleged she was also stealing money.

50 Cent Wins Emmy And Takes Shots At The Game

Rapper 50 Cent has earned his first Creative Arts Emmy Award, and of course, he accepted it with grace and humility.

And then … we woke up.

The rapper won the esteemed award for Outstanding Variety Special for his performance during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, shared with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem.

Naturally, the Queens native took to social media to celebrate the accomplishment. On Instagram, he captioned the post that featured the statue, “I just won my Emmy award (emoji claps) for the super bowl half time show. LOL).

50 also posted and then deleted a picture of The Game, after thanking Eminem (an unexpected addition from their Aftermath crew that also performed on the show), with the caption, “No Caption needed.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CiEeGoMjtIA/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Game got wind of the diss and uploaded an old image of 50 Cent and wrote: “No caption needed…#SpicyAssNigga

50 Cent wasted no time and posted up a popular gif featuring 50 from a 2009 episode of HBO’s “Entourage,” with him driving off laughing. He wrote, “Oh no, (sad face emoji) I’m sorry you don’t get one (trophy emoji). Then the first week 18k, if you need someone to talk to I’m here for you. LOL”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CiEeGoMjtIA/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

According to AllHipHop.com, after the performance in February, The Game was upset about not being included in the half-time show.

The Game has yet to respond to 50’s last insult. Remarkably, the win was more than just an accolade for one of the performers.

It inched Eminem closer to earning the coveted “EGOT” title

The Detroit rapper has earned now earned an Emmy (E), 15 Grammys (G), and an Oscar in 2003 in the Best Original Song category for “Lose Yourself” from the film “8 Mile.” (O). He now needs to conquer Broadway so that he can get the Tony.

Issa Rae Has Finsta Account Dedicated To Food

Issa Rae has a fake Instagram account to explore her passion for food.

The actress’ official verified Instagram account boasts 3.7 million followers, but that’s not the only one she uses – Issa has created one under a pseudonym to help her channel her interest in food.

“I’m a big food person! So I have a finsta (fake Instagram) dedicated to food. It’s like, not fire at all. I don’t follow anybody except for other food pages, and that’s like my happy place,” she told TODAY’s digital magazine.

Despite having two accounts, Issa has no problem going for a while without posting a photo for her followers.

“There’s an expectation people have that you need to keep up with their lives on social media, and it’s like, ‘No, you’ve got to talk to me,'” she explained.

The 37-year-old recently removed all the posts she shared before 2022 from her main Instagram grid and the photos are now mostly compromised of promo for her new TV show “Rap Sh!t.”

She told TODAY that she prefers to use social media as more of a marketing tool than a window into her life.

Issa is so private about her personal life that she kept photos of her partner Louis Diame offline until July 2021, when she posted snaps from their wedding.

This post has also been deleted.

When asked if she’ll be quite so private if and when she has a child, she replied, “I’m not sure. Maybe if I have a child, I’ll feel like, ‘Everybody needs to see this thing!’ I don’t know!”

Afrika Bambaataa May Lose Sex Abuse Lawsuit By Default

An unnamed accuser is seeking a ruling in his sexual abuse lawsuit against Afrika Bambaataa.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Afrika Bambaataa never responded to the lawsuit. His accuser’s lawyer filed a new motion for a default judgment.

“The defendant has failed to appear, answer or otherwise respond to the plaintiff’s duly served verified complaint, has been provided with the statutorily required notice as to the initiation of this proceeding, and his time for responding has expired without any answer being served or motion made,” attorney Hugo G. Ortega wrote. “Hence, this Honorable Court should grant plaintiff a default judgment against the defendant and set this matter down for an assessment on plaintiff’s damages.”

Afrika Bambaataa’s accuser was identified as John Doe in the lawsuit. The alleged victim said he was 12 years old when he first met the Hip Hop pioneer in 1991.

The plaintiff quickly became a member of the Zulu Nation and joined Afrika Bambaataa’s security team. The alleged victim said he was often invited to the DJ’s apartment, which led to the sexual abuse.

“[Afrika Bambaataa] frequently commented on my muscular body and would touch me on my shoulders, biceps and torso,” John Doe recalled. “This progressed to his touching my private parts as well as encouraging me to watch Pornographic videos as well as to mast##bate in his presence while watching those pornographic videos.”

John Doe claimed he was groomed, raped, and sexually trafficked by Afrika Bambaataa, whose real name is Lance Taylor.

“Eventually, defendant Lance Taylor would mast##bate in my presence as well after which the conduct escalated to mutual masturbation and then progressed to sodomy,” John Doe explained. “I then became a victim of sex trafficking as Defendant Taylor would transport me to other locations where he would offer me for sex with other, older men and would watch as I was sodomized by those other men. This abuse continued until 1995.”

The plaintiff said he “lost the ability to enjoy life itself” due to the abuse. He allegedly suffered physical and emotional distress, including suicidal thoughts and depression.

John Doe is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. Afrika Bambaataa denied multiple allegations of sexual abuse in 2016.

“Recently, defamatory statements were published seeking to harm my client’s reputation so as to lower him in the estimation of the community while deterring others from associating or dealing with him. The statements show a reckless disregard for the truth, were published with knowledge of their falsity, and are being made by a lesser-known person seeking publicity. Valuable cultural resources, such as Afrika Bambaataa’s good name and time, should never be used to assist a mediocre person’s asinine quest for social media popularity and superficial gain,” Bam’s attorney Attorney Vivian K. Tozaki told AllHipHop.com.

The Internet Has It Wrong About Tiffany Haddish’s “Accusers”; Haddish Talks!

So, here are the facts. Almost 10 years ago, Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears did a lot of independent comedy sketches that were mostly off-putting. There was a Bill Cosby skit that was extremely “edgy” for the time, but since The Cos had so much dirt under the nails, it was accepted. And then the R.Kelly skit. Same thing, but clearly it was about underage girls. And now this. Tiffany Haddish is accused of grooming a 7-year old boy and a 14-year old girl into lewd acts in comedy skits.

One of those skits has been widely distributed on the internet and social media. We, as a company, have decided not to post any parts of it, even the edited parts. It is pretty disgusting. I am not saying they are guilty of the crimes they are accused of, which are more heinous.

So here is the rumor, but it is not a rumor. People are saying that “Tiffany Haddish knew her accusers.” That is somewhat true and somewhat false as I see it. First of all, from a legal perspective, the woman that is suing him aka Jane Doe is the representative party suing. She is also NOW the legal guardian of the boy, who is the once-time 7-year old that was in his drawers in a skit called “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.”

Pictures of the presumed mother and Haddish have appeared on the internet. Here is one flyer, but there are many more of these three chilling. I do not know for certain if these are the parents or not, but dude is in most of the other pics.

AND SOOOOO….the mother is not suing. It is the girl in another unreleased video that is suing. It has been reported that this has been an extortion attempt for quite some time, and has been shot down for years. Now, I think it is possible that the child is acting out of the wishes of the mother. Also, why is the now 21 or 22-year old the legal guardian of the now 14-year old boy? Seems either odd of super strategic. Since the other efforts failed, this may be a new tactic.

There’s some new info on the case. Haddish has spoken out.

“I know people have a bunch of questions.
I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately,
because there is an ongoing legal case,
there’s very little that I can say right now. But,
clearly, while this sketch was intended to be
comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply
regret having agreed to act in it. I really look
forward to being able to share a lot more
about this situation as soon as I can.”
