For years, musician, songwriter, and hip-hop artist Thejakesullivan has been crafting his sound in silence. The artist broke onto the scene earlier this year with a 2 song EP titled ‘Here For It’.
Thejakesullivan recently teamed up with upcoming hip hop artist Frenchie Mcm for the release of his track ‘ok.’. The song lasts just over 2 minutes in listening time, giving off a bar for bar gritty vibe throughout its duration.
“We just wanted to give everyone something unique,” explained Jake Sullivan. “Something they don’t really have to anything but enjoy.”
M4SXN is an upcoming artist that has quickly found success within the music industry. His debut EP “SHOES” has quickly risen in popularity, amassing thousands of streams across music platforms such as Spotify and SoundCloud. His hit song has also helped him gain thousands of Spotify followers and monthly listeners. Considering the fact that M4SXN is only 18 years old, one can assume he has a bright future ahead.
He certainly shows much promise on this new EP. M4SXN has gained tons of popularity on Instagram and Spotify garnering well over 10,000 combined followers on the platforms. Most people may think that M4SXN was an overnight sensation, but to him, that was definitely not the case.

M4SXN contributes his consistency and persistence of working hard on his music day in and day out to get him to the position he is in today. The California native never had anything given to him but has grinded and hustled for everything that he has. M4SXN also has a single called “SAUSAGE” that is quickly rising in popularity as well. That song is notorious for its very catchy and upbeat sound that has listeners putting the song on repeat.

Juice WRLD’s second posthumous album Fighting Demons was released on Friday, but the project’s missing a key component.
In an interview with Complex, Juice WRLD’s mentor Lil Bibby and the late rapper’s manager Peter Jideonwo revealed they were unable to clear a Lil Wayne sample for the LP.
“It’s always tough clearing everything,” Lil Bibby said. “I had got this footage from this Lil Wayne interview, and it was really meaningful, really powerful. It was Lil Wayne talking about how he had mental health, and he shot himself. The cops saved him. So, I felt like that was really meaningful. And up until yesterday, we were even trying to clear it, and we couldn’t clear it.”
But Lil Wayne wasn’t the reason the sample didn’t appear on the Juice WRLD album. According to Jideonwo, the studio behind the interview was responsible for the clearance issues.
“We got denied—not by Wayne, not the interviewer, but the actual studio that owns the content,” Jideonwo explained. “And something like that puts a hole in the album.”
Although Lil Wayne’s missing from Fighting Demons, the latest Juice WRLD album still features plenty of star power. Justin Bieber, Polo G, Trippie Redd and BTS member Suga appear on the project. Eminem also speaks on one of the LP’s interludes.
Harlem rapper Azealia Banks is now counter suing her former manager and label head with a claim that he breached his contract and committed fraud against her.
The artist filed her dispute in a Los Angeles County Superior Court, hoping to prove that she has been wronged by the music executive and not the other way around.
Yahoo! Entertainment reports that Jeff Kwatinetz sued Banks in 2020, alleging that she stalked him and defamed his character.
Banks is shooting back, be it a year later, and saying that the older man wooed her into giving him the rights to her music.
The complaint reads, “[Kwatinetz] attempted to control and manipulate Banks so he could eventually steal from her, by charming the 23-year-old from Harlem and attempting to convince her that he loved her. He would repeatedly tell her in e-mails that he loved her, had sleepovers with her, and sent her gifts.”
At the time, Kwatinetz was 26 years the senior to the “Chasing Time” emcee.
She further states in the claim that the 49-year-old blurred “the lines between a fiduciary and a romantic suitor so that he could take financial advantage” of her.
One of the oddest revelations in the filing is that the Prospect Park label head shared with her that he stopped working with Kelly Clarkson because she was in love with him and could not handle criticism from the executive.
An excerpt from the alleged email sent to Banks about the American Idol star purportedly read, “She fired me [because] unbeknownst to me she was in love with me and when I told her to start working out because she had a lot of TV coming up, she took it that I was calling her fat and fired me.”
Considering the business side of the lawsuit, Banks claims that Kwatinetz owes her big time for unpaid revenue from her albums.
She said in the docs that he paid her on July 1st, 2020, the “minuscule sum of $15,344.94,” however according to her documents he has made $1,490,460 off her music and owes her $1,296,330 in total costs and expenses.
A rep from Kwatinetz’s office shared via a statement to Rolling Stone this thought about the case and the artist.
“Ms. Banks is a talented artist, but she has been acting irresponsibly and dangerously for years … Ms. Banks’ cross-complaint has no merit and is nothing more than a PR stunt. Mr. Kwatinetz will vindicate his rights in court, where he will prove that Ms. Banks’ allegations are false and slanderous.”
On Sept. 24th, 2020, Kwatinetz sued Banks for defamation and stalking. A year later, on Sept. 20th, 2021, he filed a follow-up complaint for defamation, trade libel, and stalking.
Canibus is back. The lyricist, born Germaine Williams, is not only one of the nicest rappers ever, but he’s also one of the most enigmatic artists of all time. Controversy has also followed the rapper through the years since he was a brash upstart from the incessantly ill, criminally underrated, and impactful class of 1998. Now, in 2021, Canibus continues his musical journey with Kaiju. In Japanese pop culture, the kaiju were the monsters that reigned in fantasy. Think Godzilla or The Shogun Warriors of old. Canibus says these monsters are Hip-Hop.
In this exclusive interview, Canibus delves deep and brings everybody up to speed. He addresses the never-ending LL Cool J issue, asking why people continue to fuel division. On the other side, he examines the shout-out he received from his hero-turned rival as he was inducted into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. On Kaiju, Canibus examines a wide range of subject matter from mysterious meetings with Jay-Z and Lyor Cohen (“I talked to Jay Z, I met with Lyor…I pretty much did it all” from “The Long Road”) to how Santa Claus dies this year. The album is complex and deep, like the author. Kaiju also features numerous guests, most notably DMX and MF Doom. Canibus is the star of the opus, which is a testimony to his enduring spirit and talent.
But…for how long?
Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur talks to Canibus – in brutal honesty – about his peaks as well as his valleys in this one-of-a-kind conversation. Should you make it to the end, Creekmur rejects ‘Bis’s attempt to apologize to his fans. This is a must see interview with a pair of Hip-Hop heads that have a decades-long respect and admiration for each other.
They are going to make a formal thing of this in a bit. But, I am ready to give you the scoop now. Last night, Jadakiss was in Delaware…Wilmington to be specific. The Queen was sold out last night as Jadakiss and friends took the stage. I say Jadakiss and friends because he brought with him Peedi Crakk Freeway, E-Ness, Dutchie Man, Lil Cease of Junior Mafia, and others. Also, a number of Delaware emcees like Geno opened for the god Kiss in front of a packed house. It was an epic show!
So what happened? AllHipHop is about to roll out their year-end review honors, but jumped the gun. Since, Delaware is were the site was started, they honored Jadakiss as the “AllHipHop Person Of The Year.” Other places may honor Lil Nas X or Kanye West with such a distinction, but Jada got it here. A longer explanation will be revealed later and online. But check this out!
So, Grouchy Greg and Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur presented Jada with this big a## winning cup, because “The Champ Is Here!” I personally like “Man of the Year” but in 2021, you can be man, woman, they, it and other such pronouns and get an honor like this!
It’s official. The Bronx bombshell Cardi B does not have herpes.
For a few years, YouTube blogger Tasha K has spread the rumor that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper had the STD.
Cardi has denied this claim vehemently, which is at the core of a lawsuit between the Tasha K and the “WAP” performer. Cardi wants Tasha K to pay for what she’s been saying about her.
Now, she has more than just her own testimony to back her up. Court documents reveal that a federal court judge reviewed records from the Center for Women’s Pelvic Health at UCLA to verify if the chart-topper has Herpes of HPV.
Simply, the judge says, “The Court has received and reviewed the records and finds that they are not helpful to Defendant.” Afterward, the judge ordered the records sealed until their defamation trial on January 5, 2022.
In addition to saying that Cardi has Herpes, Tasha K said that Offset’s wife also was once a prostitute and did hard drugs.
The GRAMMY Award-winning artist says that these accusations have been harmful to her reputation and were flat-out lies. In a countersuit, the blogger contends that Cardi has sicced her fans on her and instructed them to harass her on social media.
A judge dismissed those claims, stating that Tasha K did not have evidence to support this assertion.
But Cardi does have proof of Tasha K talking cray about her online.
Despite this ongoing pandemic, GSoul has been working hard currently to showcase his personal growth in this industry after a brief hiatus. In this case, GSoul is not only in the R&B world but now in the English-speaking world as well. He’s a force to not be reckoned with his strong songwriting skills and melodic singing talent.
The Korean singer was discovered by JYP Entertainment at the age of 12 years old. Under the company, he became the longest trainee for 15 years. During those years of training, he was considered a prodigy in his home country and America.
In 2015, he made his debut with the release of his EP “Coming Home” which drew attention from various music charts such as Billboard. Today, his latest EP “Natural” will be his first-ever English EP via his current record label Warner Music Korea.
The highly-anticipated project clocks in at five songs, including tracks “Be My Side,” “Free (I’m Gonna Be),” “Another Day.” Plus there is a Korean and English version of the song “Natural.”
AllHipHop: What inspired you for each track in your new EP, ‘Natural’?
**GSoul: ** The title song “Natural,” I wrote that one first. It’s like my love letter to my loved ones and fans. I wanted to make sure that the whole production sounded organic… and natural. That’s why for the vocal mixing, I didn’t put any EQs and kept it natural.
The first track of the EP “By My Side” is a love song for all my friends, families and fans. It’s my appreciation for the people stood ‘by my side’.
I wrote “Free” when I was in a dark difficult space. It was my affirmation to be free and I wanted to redefine my freedom. For some time, I was stuck in my own head, then I realized what I was holding me back, which was myself and my own thoughts. Which I realized that I had to be free from them. I really like this because the song is so vulnerable and I’m very vulnerable on that song
“Another Day” talks about my addiction. I’m addicted to a lot of things (laugh) and I pray about my daily battle. I think a lot of people can relate to that. I wanted to be honest with my fans and share that side of me. Especially those who are going through the same experiences as well. Sound-wise, it’s like a Cuban jazz vibe, which I never tried before.
AllHipHop: What was the creative process of creating this new EP for you?
**GSoul: ** It’s really the same as before, just telling my story through different sounds and messages on each song. Especially for this track, I really wanted to go back to my root of the R&B, soul. gospel genre. Before, I was so obsessed with trying other genres such as deep house, reggae, etc. I think I had a rebellious mindset. I don’t know what it was but on this project, it’s going on a very soulful, jazz, neo-soul, R&B genre, which my fans would really appreciate.
AllHipHop: Why did you release the song “Natural” in both Korean and English, while the others are only in English?
**GSoul: ** Since it’s the main title song, I thought that the melody and vibe would sound really good in Korean. The Korean lyrics came out right before the recording and release, and I really like it. And my mom likes it, which is important to me.
AllHipHop: What inspired you to create an EP about natural, genuine, heartfelt vibes?
**GSoul: ** One thing I can say about myself is that I am a genuine person and it shows in music. Especially for this project, I had to be fearlessly vulnerable, because my fans know so much about me, without me saying much. Sometimes they send me messages and check up on me, knowing exactly what I’m going through. I felt like I didn’t want to be hiding anymore, even in music and lyrical contents. I just wanted to be really vulnerable, honest, and sincere.
AllHipHop: Did you encounter any moments of self-doubt during your production of this EP?
**GSoul: ** Yes, but that’s the case for me always. I hold such a high standard to myself as an artist. Sometimes, if I don’t feel quite meeting that standard, I get very frustrated. I don’t know if I’m a perfectionist or not, but I get into the details. Self-doubt… that’s a devil. It’s a demon a lot of artists are dealing with, but we have to fight through it and believe in ourselves. Just by finishing up this project, it gave me a new confidence that I had lost for a while. So it’s very meaningful and I’m really grateful.
AllHipHop: What advice do you want to give your fans and listeners about overcoming self-doubt?
**GSoul: ** Prayers, and being with your loved ones. We all need each other, so it’s important to have your support system and know the right people to lean on when you need to. We live in this time, where we are so obsessed with constantly putting out something. I believe that we need time to give time to live our lives, so that those experiences melt into music.
Sometimes, we gotta step back and see why we do the things that we do. Do you love it? Or do you really love it? When you’e constantly running, sometimes you get sucked into many different things from business to people, and you lose the innocence and the passion for music. That’s why we need time live life and see what that experiences come back to you
AllHipHop: Taking into account the struggles with the pandemic, what are some activities you’ve done to uplift your spirit?
**GSoul: ** Walk in nature. Hiking. Exercise. Those helped me tremendously.
Back in 2016, Desiigner took over the world with his #1 hit single “Panda.” The success of that song helped the Brooklynite earn a record deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
Desiigner is no longer part of the G.O.O.D. Music roster, but he apparently still has a lot of love for the mogul now known simply as Ye. Earlier this week, Desiigner released the “Letter To Ye” music video.
The track features Desiigner reflecting on his former days alongside Kanye West. For the visuals, the 24-year-old rhymer displays old footage of himself performing for Ye in New York City’s world-famous arena.
“Madison Square Garden, it first started. I’m up on the big screen and I’m seventeen. I’m living that life, seems like a movie scene. Standing next to Kanye, next to Pusha-T,” raps Desiigner on “Letter To Ye.”
Many fans and fellow artists have been giving Kanye West his flowers over the last few days, especially for his Drake-assisted “Free Larry Hoover Concert” which streamed on Thursday night. However, Desiigner did not always view Ye in the most positive light.
“I signed to Kanye West, the biggest n#### in the world. Y’all n##### think he’s the genius,” ranted Desiigner in 2019. “But to me, that n####’s crazy. To me, n####, I’ve been doing this s### myself. To me, n####, I brought G.O.O.D. Music back and everybody knows that.”
Besides “Panda” holding the #1 spot on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for two weeks, Desiigner also scored a Top 40 solo entry in 2016 with “Tiimmy Turner.” 2016’s New English achieved moderate commercial success that same year. Desiigner’s debut mixtape peaked at #22 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Canadian rapper/singer Daystar “Tory Lanez” Peterson is back with another body of work. This week, the 29-year-old recording artist let loose his Alone At Prom studio LP.
For Alone At Prom, Tory Lanez introduced a new 1980s-inspired character named Ashton Rain. Lanez used several music videos to tell Ashton Rain’s story.
“Ashton Rain is a mixture of Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael Jackson, Rick James, and more,” explains Tory Lanez. “The music was so retro and nostalgic that the character had to be created and authenticated through film, picture, and music video.”
The Juno Award winner continued, “Ashton Rain is today’s last hope of getting a full [catalog] now and later of pure Pop, R&B, Alternative and 80’s Rock music and I’m excited for everyone to hear what I’ve poured my passion into with the Alone At Prom album.”
Alone At Prom contains 11 tracks, including “Lady Of Namek,” “’87 Stingray,” and “Enchanted Waterfall.” For the project’s visuals, Tory Lanez drew inspiration from classic 1980s-era teen movies such as Teen Wolf and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Tory Lanez dropped his previous album, Daystar, in September 2020. He also released the Loner mixtape in December 2020 and the Playboy mixtape in March 2021. Additionally, the We Outside EP arrived in July of this year.
Kanye “Ye” West once again broke the internet. This time, the Chicago-raised billionaire was not the center of online attention because of a controversial political take.
Overnight, Ye became a top trending topic on social media for hosting the “Free Larry Hoover Concert.” The Donda album creator ran through many of his iconic hits, and he also brought out former rival Drake to perform his own set.
The “Free Larry Hoover Concert” streamed live on Amazon Music and Amazon Prime Video from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Ye and Amazon also joined forces to offer exclusive #FreeLarryHoover merchandise.
Fans can purchase limited-edition hoodies, shirts, denim pants, and hats at amazon.com. The #FreeLarryHoover items were created by Ye and Balenciaga’s creative director Demna (formerly known as Demna Gvasalia).
The “Free Larry Hoover Concert” served multiple purposes. It brought Ye and Drake together on stage following their years-long rivalry. The charity event also supported legal reform and community advocates such as Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change, Hustle 2.0, and Uptown People’s Law Center.
“We’re extremely proud to be working with Kanye and Drake on this historic concert in support of a cause they are both so passionate about, and to collaborate across Amazon for this epic entertainment event,” says Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios.
Alaina Bartels, Talent Synergy & Specials executive for Amazon Studios, added, “It’s rare to be able to bring two of the biggest cultural icons together on one stage for our customers across the globe.”

Fans of Saweetie have long been waiting for the arrival of her debut album “Pretty B#### Music.” The project was initially teased in the summer of last year but delayed multiple times. However, new music is on the way as the California native announced she is dropping a seven-song project in just a matter of weeks.
Saweetie revealed her new project, “Icy Season,” released on January 7, should hold fans over until the album drops later in the year. She said the tape she considers a “pretty b#### bible” boasts several high-profile features though she did not reveal any names.
Meanwhile, during a recent interview, Saweetie discussed how busy her 2021 has been, which might explain why her album has been pushed back.
“I can’t believe I worked this hard,” she said to People earlier this week (Dec 8). “I try to take things day to day. Sometimes I can’t look at my calendar on my weekly schedule because it’ll give me anxiety. I feel like what I’m working for is starting to pay off, so I’m just really grateful to be acknowledged.”
Saweetie also admitted, “I struggle with my mental health” adding, “It’s like I live, sleep, eat and breathe music and business.”
While Saweetie revealed she plans to spend the festive period getting rest somewhere tropical, it has been a busy week for her.
On Monday, Saweetie joined Lil Nas X leading the star-studded line-up at iHeartRadio’s 101.3 KDWB Jingle Ball 2021 in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Elsewhere this week, French Montana released the video for “Handstand” which features Saweetie and Doja Cat on a mission to overthrow a horde of colonizing robots.
Ultimately, Saweetie is a hard worker. During a candid L.A Times interview the rapper disclosed that not even a Grammy nomination was cause for her to stop and celebrate.
“I’m grateful, but there’s a lot to do,” Saweetie explained. “I have the mentality of an athlete. I think it’s great to make the team, but it’s important to win.”

Two of Louisiana’s most famous Hip Hop figures united for a project. Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again and New Orleans rapper Birdman present From The Bayou.
The 13-track joint mixtape by NBA YoungBoy and Birdman arrived on Friday, December 10. An official, age-restricted music video for the track “Black Ball” hit YouTube earlier this week.
From The Bayou also hosts the songs “Heart & Soul” and “Alligator Walk.’ The joint video for those records is currently trending at #1 in YouTube’s music section with over 12 million views since it premiered on December 2.
Previously, Birdman created other collaborative projects such as Like Father, Like Son with Lil Wayne, Just Another Gangsta with Juvenile, and Lost At Sea with Jacquees. His solo catalog includes Birdman, Fast Money, 5 * Stunna, and Priceless.
Rick Ross is back with his 11th studio album, “Richer Than I Ever Been.”
The project includes features from Wiz Khalifa, Benny the Butcher, DreamDoll, BLXST, Yungeen Ace, and Major Nine. 21 Savage also makes an appearance on the lead single “Outlawz” with Jazmine Sullivan on the powerful hook. The track was released last month however Rozay delivered a fresh set of visuals for the track at midnight.

The feature-heavy 12-track project also sees Rick Ross team up with Wale and Future on “Warm Words in a Cold World.” The album opens with an intro from former drug kingpin Willie Falcon sending his love and appreciation to Ross. Additionally, Canadian producer Boi-1da provides the beats for the album’s opener “Little Havana,” while The-Dream sings the hook.
Meanwhile, Rick Ross hopes to get one of his most popular mixtapes on streaming services in time for the ten-year anniversary in 2022.
During a recent interview with Billboard Hip-Hop editor, Carl Lamarr Rick Ross revealed that he released “Rich Forever” as a mixtape and not an album because Def Jam was dragging their feet.
“It was one of them things that wasn’t about the money,” Ross declared. “It was about putting the music on the streets and finally being in the position where I have fans in Germany and London and Paris that’s waiting for this Rozay music. This is the position I’ve been waiting on damn near my whole life. I’m not waiting for the record label, I’m going to move, so I pushed the button and dropped it myself.”
Rick Ross also explained why the Ronald Isley feature he previously announced is missing from the album.
“We finally got in touch, and I got to send over some production I felt was ready for that ‘Maybach Music VII,’” Ross said. “We got the wordplay put down, and Ronald Isley did an amazing job and took it to the next level. It was all about the production that I needed more time with.”
Kanye West and Drake finally reunited and ended their beef during Ye’s “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert last night (Dec. 9)
Though a little late, the event opened in epic fashion with Kanye’s choir singing tracks from DONDA. The Memorial Stadium Los Angeles was lit ethereally, glowing with a blue haze, smoke billowing in from all sides before Kanye and Drake emerged together, running towards the vast mound that acted as the stage in the center of the stadium.
Drake disappeared off-camera somewhere as Kanye climbed the mound and launched into an energetic performance of his early hits.
Kanye Performs His Early Classics
He ran through classic tracks from “The College Dropout,” opening with an epic rendition of “Jesus Walks” leading into “All Falls Down.”
Next, Ye performed music from his sophomore album “Late Registration,” dancing across the stage in his familiar Kanye-bop fashion. “Gold Digger,” and “Touch the Sky’” wowed the crowd before getting into his hits from “Graduation” and then “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”
Kanye appeared to be lacking in energy as he got into “Flashing Lights,” his breath control visibly suffering. By this stage, viewers were wondering when Drake would make a reappearance or any other guest for that matter.
Kanye altered the lyrics of “Runaway” making an emotional plea to estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
Ye ended his performance of “And I Wonder” while kneeling on the stage, looking a little fatigued. The next song had everyone thinking it was time for Drake to come out as Drizzy’s “Find Your Love” began to play while Drake sang along in the crowd.
The pair performed the song together before Kanye West left the stage and Drake took over.
Drake Performs His New Hits
Drake opened with a beautiful rendition of Kanye’s “24” backed by the choir. He then got into tracks from “Certified Lover Boy” including “No Friends in The Industry.”
Speaking to the crowd, Drake addressed the enormity of the occasion:
“When we were walking through the archway right there it felt surreal. It felt like a dream, it was something I always wanted to do. Be on stage with one of my idols when he’s running through one of the best catalogues in music period so I appreciate y’all tonight.”
While Drake performed “Life is Good,” the line “Virgil got a Patek on my wrist goin’ nuts” was repeated in tribute to Virgil Abloh who passed away last month.
As his set came to a close, the Toronto native thanked Ye, J Prince, and Larry Hoover Jr “for piecing this together for us and letting us make this happen” before getting into “God’s Plan.”
Kanye & Drake’s Grand Finale
Kanye then came back on stage to deliver “Hurricane,” before telling the audience that the show was coming to an end. N##### in Paris and “Bound 2” were among the last tracks he performed before reciting a prayer. Drake returned and the duo shook the stage performing their hit “Forever.”
If the audience were expecting any last-minute guests, their hopes went unmet as there were no surprise performers. What fans did get was a classic performance of some of the pair’s big hits, particularly with Kanye’s nostalgia-inducing early songs.
Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s relationship has been the subject of recent rumors with the Philly rapper apparently unhappy with his deal with Maybach Music Group.
During a recent interview, Rick Ross addressed the issue directly. He was asked the current status of his relationship with Meek; according to Rozay, he’s still the homie.
“I feel like we’re both hustlers,” Ross explained to Billboard Hip Hop editor Carl Lamarre. “That’s one thing about life, you either grow together or grow apart. As a boss, you make that decision, because whatever it is you want to do, Ricky Rozay wants to see you do it. There’s a lot of people that didn’t last or was still down with me the way Meek is — so I want to see the homie shine regardless.”
What Did Ross Mean On “Little Havana?”
Ross was asked about his Meek Mill line on “Little Havana” from his new album, “Richer Than I’ve Ever Been.”
Rozay raps, “Roger Goodell boy, he ain’t a corneich/I was really throwin’ money, I really saw Meech/And I let them rapper n##### get closer to Meek/It ain’t ’bout who made the most but let’s make a toast.”
“Let the homie live,” he replied. “Ima go my way, you can go yours. But make sure you keep winning. That’s all Rozay wanna see, I wanna see you win.”
Meek Mill fuelled whispers of a rift back in October when he vented on Twitter.
“I haven’t get paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me,” Meek wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I need lawyers asap!!!”
He added, “Ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist? i’m about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!”

Travis Scott stands accused of failing to accept responsibility for any casualties suffered during the crowd crush at Astroworld. Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the family of 21-year-old Astroworld victim Axel Acosta made the claims in response to the rapper’s interview with Charlamagne Tha God.
According to TMZ, Buzby said Travis Scott is shirking his responsibilities to the victims, including Axel Acosta and the many others killed or injured.
“Travis Scott, his entourage, handlers, promoters, managers, hangers on and everyone else who enable him are the problem,” Buzbee said. “Everything that Travis Scott has done or said since ten people died and hundreds of others were injured at his concert has been lawyer driven and calculated to shift blame from him to someone else.”
Furthermore, Buzbee questions Travis’s account that he was unaware of the chaos happening in the crowd. He suggests that even if he wasn’t being fed information through his earpiece, the mayhem was visible:
“He now says he had an earpiece in, and was not told what was going on in the crowd. That raises the question: Did he have an earpiece in his eye? Why did he purposely ignore the death and mayhem occurring literally feet from him?”
Buzby said the interview and his lack of accountability “further exacerbates the pain of those that lost loved ones.” Additionally, “Axel Acosta’s family doesn’t want to hear Travis Scott’s excuses; excuses do not assuage their grief and pain.”
As reported by AllHipHop, the attorney has already filed a $750 million suit against Travis Scott and others. Buzbee says he and Axel’s family want justice. They “intend to force Travis Scott to accept responsibility for his conduct, in court, in front of a jury.”
On Wednesday evening (Dec. 8), while in Inglewood, CA, Vincent “Slim 400” Cohran was shot. While en route to a local hospital, the emerging entertainer, would succumb to his fatal injuries. Upon arrival, he was pronounced dead. Thursday evening (Dec. 9), a disheartening video displaying his final moments has surfaced, via Poetik Flakko.
In it, malevolence is personified. Slim is seen sitting in a car on its drivers side. The stationary vehicle is parked in a driveway. Then an unknown assailant approaches the former YG affiliate. A gun muzzle flashes.
A cacophony of gunshots interrupts the evening. Flesh is pieced by incessant bullets. Regrettably, a soul is pried away from its vessel. As of yet, no suspects have been identified nor apprehended.
