Did Sheff G Get Locked Up? Rumors Swirl Around Drill Artist’s Arrest

A few days after fellow drill rapper Eli Fross got bailed out of jail for shooting someone in the Times Square area, rumors allege that Sheff G has been arrested.

The news was spread by DJ Akademiks via his social media. The popular influencer posted on Twitter and Instagram that the “We Getting Money” artist was picked up by the police on alleged gun charges.

Outside of a huge viral campaign starting up to free the drill artist, no more is known about the arrest claims.

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, the 22-year-old seems to always be in trouble. Back in January, charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two traffic violations.

On Friday, January 22, a little before 5 p.m., the Brooklyn rapper was detained for making an illegal U-turn (and allegedly driving wildly) at Farragut Road and E. 42nd Street in his home borough. Law enforcement officers searched the car and later found a .45 caliber handgun with nine rounds loaded.

At the time, his lawyer Mitchell Elman, said, “We will vigorously defend these charges. I have no further comment at this time.”

Sheff G popped on the scene as a member of the BK Drill movement, a derivative of the sub-genre of Chicago Drill that popped off around 2010.  BK Drill is similar to UK Drill that was also influenced by Chicago but incorporates the dark and violent trap lifestyles of the South London district of Brixton.

This story is developing.

Marvel Boss Says “Black Panther” Coming Along Without Chadwick Boseman

Marvel boss Kevin Feige is more than a little impressed with how the “Black Panther” sequel is coming together without Chadwick Boseman – and he thinks fans will be too.

He and director Ryan Coogler were forced to bring the cast back without Boseman, who lost his battle with cancer last summer and Feige admits the writers and the filmmaker have done a “tremendous” job dealing with the prospect of making the follow-up without their star.

With pre-production on the sequel underway, the Marvel head spoke on the “remarkable” new vision set for the sequel following the actor’s death.

“I will say that Ryan and our producer, Nate Moore, and the entire cast and our co-writer, Joe Robert Cole, have done some remarkable things in the story, in the draft,” he told Rotten Tomatoes. “The team is assembling once again, and cameras roll in the not-too-distant future on that. It will be extremely emotional across the board, but I think they have something very special in mind.”

Recalling the news of Boseman’s sudden death, the Marvel chief adds, “Our first thought, for many weeks afterward, had nothing to do with the movie. It had to do with him and his family and his wife and his legacy. And really, we were looking to Ryan Coogler for guidance as one, frankly, always should about almost everything in life.”

The sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is scheduled for release in July, 2022.

Don’t Believe The Hype; URL’s “Super Fight IV” Was Fire and Had A Gang of Classics

For Smack’s birthday, the Ultimate Rap League gave the culture a gift with this weekend’s “Super Fight IV.”

With five battles starring some of the culture’s biggest stars, the most respected platform in the world decorated Saturday with four potential classics and one clear loss (despite what the votes said). Fans were locked in causing #Superfight to trend over Lauren Boebert (a politician who went viral after calling the Delta variant a “Fauci Ouchie” and UFC Vegas 31.

Check out the battles below and Twitter’s response. While many believe that the card did not have the punch or wow factor as other card’s put on by the largest English-speaking battle rap league in the world, others beg to differ.

KID CHAOS VS. CHESS

The first battle of the night was between Kid Chaos and Chess. The South Carolinian wordsmith went bar-for-bar with the Bronx-born lyrical miracle.  The two started the event off with a bang feeding fans with wordplay, intricate schemes and some of the best rapping heard this year.

“Kid Chaos vs Chess was battle of the night”

“Chess vs Kid Chaos was fire but I gave it to Chess 2-1”

“Kid Chaos Vs. Chess Might Have Been The Best Battle…”

Many are saying that this classic performance was “battle of the night” and giving the win to the Cake Lyfe king, Chess.

HEAD ICE VS. AVE

This battle came out of nowhere. It was not a grudge match (the two are actually friends). The styles of both emcees, Harlem’s Head Ice and Norfolk’s Ave, are drastically different. Still, the way each one of them put their respective rounds together gave the culture a battle that transcended generations and eras.

“@Headice vs @Sharkcity_Ave was the Battle of the night and Head Ice was the Battler of the night #URLTV #SUPERFIGHT”

“Can’t believe Head Ice 30 Ave”

“Bro no lie… Head Ice shocked me my n#### I thought Ave was gonna wash Ice”

This was Head Ice’s first time on URL in years and his caffeine debut. The URL fans were so excited to have him and now they know why The Wolf is considered one of the best to do it.

ARSONAL VS. REAL SIKH

This battle between Big Jersey aka Arsonal and the new jack, Real Sikh, had a friendly contest introducing the next star of the Garden State. The history between the two is long, and for the Punjabi this was a Rites of Passage, battling a prepared Arsonal, it was a dream come true. Yep … another classic.

“Real Sikh is better with words than Arsonal, but Ars has all the other elements of battle rap down pat.”

“Arsonal with the gentleman’s 30 . Sik was fighting but it wasn’t enough. I knew when he lost the coin flip he had a uphill battle #superfight #url”

“Get my mans sikh into top 5 COTY conversations”

“Arsonal 2-1 he showed why he been all over the world doin this s###..Real Sikh can rap tho #SUPERFIGHT”

“Arsonal vs Real Sikh had battle of the night. Clearly!!#SUPERFIGHT”

https://twitter.com/Keo_BMG/status/1416578926860652550?s=20

“So is that 2 events in a row where Real Sikh had the clearest win?”

https://twitter.com/GreedyGotti/status/1416578314718822400?s=20

T-TOP VS. SWAMP

This grudge match has been in the making for over three years. Swamp has alleged that T-Top has not represented The Carolinas as he has ascended to some of the highest heights of battle rap culture. Shouting this for the better part of his career, this battle with The Bear is one that he wanted … he wanted badly … he almost begged for it.

“Swamp vs T-Top Recap: R1: Top – Weakest rnd. Swamp slight choke. R2: Top was SURGICAL! Swamp was choked but saved it and choked again at the end R3: T-Top is brought it home and got crazy. Swamp needed that first! Top had the momentum crazy T-Top 30 #SuperFight4”

“For Swamp vs. T-Top from @urltv’s #SuperFight, I gave that to T-Top 2-1 in the 2nd and 3rd. I thought Swamp’s content was better in the 1st even with the stumble, T-Top clearly got the 2nd, and I edged T-Top with the 3rd as far as angles go. It was an OK battle.”

And unfortunately, standing in front of Top was too much for him, causing him to stumble and stutter over rhymes he had at least 36 months to prepare for. Top on the other hand was prepared. While this was not the best Top, he executed like a vet and showed why he is the King of the Carolinas, and his opponent wants his spot.

The Caffeine voters said that Swamp won … but they got it wrong. He choked all throughout the battle. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.

HOLLOW DA DON VS. RUM NITTY

In another grudge match, Hollow da Don and Rum Nitty anchored the card. The God-Tier emcee from Queens returned to URL to bless the Caffeine audience and they pair him with the URLien from Arizona.

“For Hollow Da Don vs. Rum Nitty from @urltv‘s #SuperFight, I gave that to Hollow 2-1 in the 1st and 2nd. Nitty’s 3rd was his best round, Hollow’s 2nd went crazy, and I gave Hollow the 1st clearly. Great back and forth battle though.”

“Yep…I’ve watched it twice already, and you gage crowd reaction, Nitty 2-1 clearly. But if you pay attention to what they were actually rapping about, 2-1 Hollow clearly”

It would seem that Rum would be exhausted after winning the UM3 competition at NOME XI. But he performed with high energy. Hollow’s first two rounds were so impressive, despite the crowd not responding. #TheNerveOfThem.

The “Super Fight IV” was a really good event. It showed all of the various levels in the field. It showcased legends, introduced new champions, and for the most part embodied the momentum of a much larger card.

NFL To Play Black National Anthem Before Games; Some Fans Lose Their Minds

The National Football League has announced that it will now include “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the start of its games. The song does replace ”

The Star Spangled Banner, the official national anthem of the United States. During Super Bowl 55 in February, the NFL permitted the song to be performed before the game, by Alicia Key.

Players from the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers connecting side-by-side as an expression of American unity.

Dramatically, actor Anthony Mackie narrated history regarding the composition of the song at the beginning. While a video played of Black American history, culture, beauty, and triumphant.

Over the last couple of years, the NFL has drastically shifted its position on what should be sung or played at their games.

With Jay-Z and Roc Nation at the table with their “Inspire Change” initiative and the football league’s dedication of $250 million over the next ten years to fight social injustice, this is only one of their moves to make up for the massive faux pas with penalizing Colin Kaepernick for his stance against police-involved violence.

According to NewsNationNow.com an NFL representative shared that the league is locking down the season and wanted to be aggressively inclusive to the African-American audience.

Still, the league is receiving mixed reactions to their decision and people are using propaganda to make people upset about the inclusion (not replacement) of the song.

“These geniuses just guaranteed that they will be out of business in two years. #boycottNFL NFL To Replace ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ With ‘Black National Anthem,’ Feature BLM Felons On Player Helmets And Jerseys”

“Nobody should ever watch another NFL game. Make the league fold. Disgusting act of racism playing a “black only” national
anthem.”

“Boycott all NFL Games. We already have a National Anthem. It’s for all colors. But let’s give them everything including the kitchen
sink”

Some made valid points about true inclusivity.

“There are more Latinos in The USA than Blacks;…Latinos were in USA before all others..Southern California in the 1500’s. So, how come the NFL won’t play the Latino National Anthem? Or, for that matter, The Apache/Comanche, etc., National Anthem?”

https://twitter.com/sllabesab/status/1416495272742559746?s=20

But some people are sitting back and laughing.

“’The snowflakes are triggered’: Row blazes after NFL decides to play ‘black national anthem’ before every game to start season”

https://twitter.com/HomoSapiensUSA1/status/1416492998481911809?s=20

“Do you stand or kneel for black national anthem”

Some are simply dismissive of the act of solidarity.

“NFL behind close doors. Plantation team owners believe that great patriotic black Americans are not Americans. ‘Let’s give them their own watermelon fried-chicken jive-turkey anthem. We’ll give our slave players something to cheer about. Keep them happy!’”

Some see this as a business move.

“Some people keep bringing up how NFL ratings will go down & how they’ll lose money and ultimately struggle because of the Black national anthem and the end zone messages. NFL teams split $9.8 Billion in national revenue last year. Each team received $309.2 million. (Per Rovell)”

The spark about the national anthem was started in 2016 when San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled during “Star-Spangled Banner” as the beginning of one of his games to protest a rash of unresolved or unsolved police-involved shootings of Black people.

When talking about his decision and the backlash he received he said to NFL Media “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

To this, his team responded:

“The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose and participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem.”

The NFL also had a statement, “Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the national anthem.”

Despite this show of support, his contract was not renewed, and not able to do the sport that he loves professionally.

A former executive for the NFL connects this directly to his position, something that the league vehemently denies.

Joe Lockhart, the former NFL vice president of communications from 2016-18, said, “No teams wanted to sign a player—even one as talented as Kaepernick—whom they saw as controversial, and, therefore, bad for business.”

The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a video “We, the National Football League, believe Black lives matter. … Without Black players, there would be no National Football League.Let’s see how this works. The Black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice and King” will be played before all games (including the Sept. 9 kickoff game and the playoffs) during the 2021 season.

Soulja Boy Agrees To Terms Of Restraining Order In Sexual Assault/Battery Battle

After having a successful Verzuz competition against Bow Wow and a huge TikTok hit (in 2021), Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy is back in the news.

According to TMZ, the “Pretty Boy Swag” rapper, one who undeniably changed the way the music is consumed and distributed in the modern era, has agreed to keep his distance from one of the former girlfriends accusing him of sexual assault and battery.

Back in January, AllHipHop.com reported that the alleged victim filed for a restraining order. However, neither party followed through in court for its execution before a judge.

Relying on their legal representation, the two came to an agreement that for the next three years the chart-topping rapper and producer will have paperwork on him.

The three-year restraining order will require him to keep 50 to 100 yards away from the young lady.

The young lady, who is known as a Jane Doe, alleges that Big Drako hired him to be his assistant in December 2018.

After a while, he sent her unsolicited explicit pictures, got into a romantic relationship with her, started abusing her, and raped her multiple times.

Her breaking point was an altercation that involved him allegedly pushing her out of a vehicle and making her walk the remaining five miles to her destination.

She further claims that the “Crank That” artist apologized by shooting her a grand as an expression of his “remorse.”*

Eazy-E Death By AIDS Conspiracy. Could It Actually Be True?

The untimely demise of gangster rap icon Eazy-E is set to be explored in a new investigative docuseries.

The pioneering N.W.A. group member, real name Eric Wright, passed away in March 1995. The 30-year-old’s death was attributed to complications related to AIDS.

However, conspiracy theories surrounding the real cause of his death have been rampant for years, and now Eazy’s daughter, Ebie, is getting to the bottom of the mystery with the help of U.S. network bosses at WE tv.

The conspiracy seems to be rooted in a 2003 interview Suge Knight conducted with Jimmy Kimmel.

During the sit-down, Suge, who is feuding with Eazy over Dr. Dre, claimed the Ruthless Records founder had been poked with a needle.

“So if you shoot somebody you go to jail forever. Kids y’all don’t want to go to jail forever. So they got this new thing out…They get blood from somebody with AIDS and they shoot you with it,” Suge Knight said.

“Oh that’s bad,” Jimmy Kimmel replied, but not before Suge seemed to dry snitch on himself.

“That’s a slow death, an Eazy-E thing,” Suge Knight said chuckling.

Legendary Latino rapper Frost, who was signed to Ruthless, said Eazy was infected after he received acupuncture following an accident on a 4-wheeler.

“I don’t wanna say that name ’cause it’s the devil’s name, but another person in rap, if you know you’re history of rap, calls him the devil. If you know the history of Rap, West Coast rap, you know who I’m saying. I was told even in my last conversation from Eazy not to even talk to that man. Not only that, but I think that they really had a stronghold of giving him tainted needles with the AIDS virus in him with acupuncture,” Frost said.

The “Mysterious Death of Eazy-E” will feature never-before-seen footage of the late rapper, and include interviews with various key people in his life in four hour-long episodes, starting on August 12.

Travis Scott Has New “Designer Weed” That’s Like “Fine Wine”

Rapper Travis Scott is lighting up the marijuana industry with his own brand of weed.

Travis Scott has partnered with pot professionals at Connected Cannabis to launch Cactus Farms, an indica-style hybrid strain which features a “dense, purple bud structure that smokes with the same experience as sipping a fine wine,” according to company officials.

Cactus Farms, handpicked by Scott, is only currently available in California and Arizona, where recreational marijuana is legal.

He is the latest rapper to move into the cannabis industry – Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, and Wiz Khalifa are just some of the big names to boast their own pot products.

In April, Connected Cannabis closed a $30 million capital raise consisting of debt and equity financing, adding to the $25 million the company raised in 2019.

The company has built out a proprietary genetics portfolio of premium strains and meticulously cultivating cannabis at scale since 2009, pioneering what is labeled “designer weed.”

Popular Loner is spearheaded by lead single “Prosper,” laced with braggadocious bars of Metro talking his s### about himself and his crew, The Loners. AllHipHop: How does it feel to be so young and signed to one of the most poppin’ rap labels of our generation?

Metro Marrs: It’s good, it’s a good feeling. It keeps me going. I have a long way to go though, I’m trying to pass everybody. It’s a good feeling for real.

AllHipHop: How was it growing up in Atlanta?

Metro Marrs: The household was mad kids, I was around a lot of kids. My grandma used to watch and babysit a lot of kids. We were always writing music, it’s damn near in my DNA. Going to the studio with my dad, he was signed to Redstone Studios with The Dream and them. My dad signed to them at 17, that’s when he had me so I’ve always been in the loop. My childhood was not really a regular childhood. I met my managers at a young age too, at 4 years old. I met Blake when I was 4, I was making music with my dad.

AllHipHop: Who were you listening to coming up?

Metro Marrs: Juice WRLD, XXX, Tory Lanez, Travis Scott. I listened to Fetty Wap. When he first came out, I was probably in 5th grade. That s### was hard. [starts singing Fetty Wap]

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize you could do music for living?

Metro Marrs: I always had manifestation: this is what I’ma do. I don’t want to do anything else. I’ma put my mind into music, focus on music. Nothing else gon’ stop me. Really putting my mind and manifesting. I really started recording for real in ninth grade.

AllHipHop: Did you know what you were doing?

Metro Marrs: Yeah, we’d be right here in the same spot recording music. [shows home studio] I was on SoundCloud dropping, trying to see what people would think.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?

Metro Marrs: Shout out Metro Boomin. Before I found out my name, I used to always listen to Metro Boomin and his collab song with 21 Savage called “No Heart.” “Young savage, why you trappin’ so hard?” That production was crazy, I thought “yo this n*gga hard as f###. He influenced my name, put the Metro on it. Shout out Metro Boomin, there’s only two Metro’s.

AllHipHop: Have y’all tapped in?

Metro Marrs: No we haven’t yet, but it’s going to come. Facts.

AllHipHop: Popular Loner mixtape out now, how are you feeling?

Metro Marrs: I feel good, Popular Loner going crazy right now. My favorite song on there is called “Live It Up,” go check it out.

AllHipHop: Why do you like that one?

Metro Marrs: When you hear the beat, it hits your soul differently. It’s a vibe, When I recorded it, it was off the dome. I said “oh yeah, that’s the one.” Everyone said “oh yeah, this him. That’s a hit right there!” Shout out SuperMiles he produced it.

AllHipHop: What were you going through recording “Prosper”?

Metro Marrs: That was off the dome. When I heard the beat, it sounded so big. I said “okay, I need to get people hypnotized to this song. PROSPER! I needed to rage on the song. This some rage type s###.” That really just happened: “Prosper, I shall prosper.” It just came out, I don’t even know how to explain it. We recorded that and played that s### out loud, that s### was crazy.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?

Metro Marrs: The best memory was when everyone was in church with their Loner shirts on. Shout out The Loners, we all one. That’s my fanbase. It felt good seeing the movement growing and progressing daily. Big things coming, more crazy visuals on the way. The best part was everyone in the church getting lit.

AllHipHop: Why are you the Popular Loner? What does that mean?

Metro Marrs: That means staying out the way, not really getting into all the b#######. Trying to make a way, trying to make it out. It’s okay to be alone, you don’t have to f### with everybody. You can stay in your lane, do what you want to do. In high school, I really wasn’t in the mix for real. I wouldn’t go to any high school games, Homecoming or none of that. I’d be at the house recording, developing my sound. Popular Loner is the definition of me forreal. Whoever else out there feels like they want to be a part of the movement can join The Loners, no cap.

AllHipHop: Why no features?

Metro Marrs: I didn’t want any features on the first tape. I want people to hear me out, they can’t say I came in the game with features. I want to step on them for real, without features. They gon’ come, facts.

AllHipHop: Have you been working with anyone?

Metro Marrs: Not really. I’ve been recording by myself with the gang, my producers, and my team. It’ll be features on the album. I almost forgot, you know this artist named NJOMZA? She put me on her project. We did a song together called “Little To A Lot.”

AllHipHop: How did that happen?

Metro Marrs: She was in the studio, I pulled up on her. It was me, this producer named ATL Grandma, and her. She did a hook, the verse, I hopped on the verse and that s### was fire. She put it on her project.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Metro Marrs: I need people around me. I don’t know why, I like to see people‘s reactions. I need Powerade, and Voodoo Chips. Those bussin’, I just put you on.

AllHipHop: How did it feel to be arrested for giving away $10K in cash at your graduation?!

Metro Marrs: That s### was lame they tried to arrest me. It was cool, everyone’s chanting “let him go! Let him go!” Hearing that, people were really f###### with me. It was crazy how that happened. I didn’t expect them to arrest me, but you know people be hating. It’s all good.

AllHipHop: How did that night play out for you?

Metro Marrs: I was in the studio with SpotemGottem, we did a song at the QC studio. It was me, SpotemGottem, Wavy Navy Pooh who’s also signed to QC. We’re all in the studio. It was cool in that b####, we didn’t leave until 6am. We were geeked up all night. I had a lil party there at first, then we started to record.

AllHipHop: What was the vibe with Spotem?

Metro Marrs: The vibe was crazy, we made some hard s###. I had my own sauce on it, he put his own sauce on it too. It’s a mixture of both, that s###’s crazy. I’m on the hook, he’s on the verse.

AllHipHop: You gave away money to your classmates out of love. Talk about partnering with Cash App to give another $10K.

Metro Marrs: $10K Rodney Dave fund scholarship, that’s what the scholarship is called. Loner Foundation gives $10K to the valedictorian and salutatorian. With the money, they can do what they want. They can pay their tuition, buy laptops. Do whatever they need for college, buy books, all that good stuff. Even buy a car, whatever they need in life forreal.

AllHipHop: Where does your desire to give back come from?

Metro Marrs: I got a good heart, for real. I’m cool person with a good heart, who wants to give back. I’ve been blessed since a young age. The people who helped me, I wanted to give back. Facts, there’s a lot of them.

AllHipHop: Being only 18, what do you like to do for fun?

Metro Marrs: I’ll play basketball every now and then, play the game sometimes. Mainly, I record in the studio and tell people to pull up. On God, I be in the studio. Pull up. Come to my world, I’m not coming out. No! [laughs]

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

Eli Fross Bail Set At $100K For Wild Shooting In Times Square

A New York court sets a six-figure cash bail for Brooklyn rapper Eli Fross on Friday, July 16.

Eli Fross was arrested earlier for an alleged shooting in Times Square and was arraigned for attempted murder, attempted assault, and knocked with a criminal possession of a weapon charge.

The Daily News reports that the “Grim Reaper” artist, who has performed with Brooklyn drill rapper Sleepy Hollow, King Von, Sheff G, and others, fired four shots at a motorcyclist in New York’s historic Broadway theater area.

However, the 20-year-old, whose real name is Elija Quamina, did not seem to understand the gravity of his crime, one that required those behind his music career to cough up $100,000 to get him out.

Eli Fross was heard boasting about how his recording label, Sony Entertainment, was going to put up the money for him to get out. He also yucked it up for the crowd while waiting for his arraignment.

The popular news outlet stated that he was entertaining “guards and fellow detainees.” The Gen-Z rapper contends that he was not the aggressor in the altercation.

Eli Fross believes that he accidentally “clipped” the biker and in a fit of road rage, the cyclists shot him. He claims that when he bucked back, he was defending himself.

But that’s not what the Manhattan Assistant District Attorney, Grace Lunden asserts. These are the facts that he is presenting in his case:

The Brooklyn native can be seen on camera shooting at the victim near Seventh Ave. and W. 41st Street a little after midnight on Wednesday.

The rapper, who is signed to Sheff G’s Winners Circle Entertainment, was riding in his white Mercedes and struck the cyclist, causing injury to the biker’s knee and elbow.

It is after this happened that the cyclist’s friend stepped up to Eli Fross and his friends in front of his car, never expecting that the owner of the car would pull out a gun and blast at him.

The police reported that the “gunman” ran off and the car drove away. But not before the cops were able to identify the car— tracing it to the rapper on Thursday.

The arrest comes while he is also out on bail for a previous 2021 gun charge. If he is convicted of the crime, he might receive up to five years in prison.

Guess, he will learn soon that this gun stuff is not a game.

KSI Turned Down Millions To Launch Podcast Because Its’ Not His Thing

KSI has turned down “millions” to launch his own podcast because he doesn’t enjoy it.

The 28-year-old multi-talented star has made waves as a YouTuber, boxer, and musician. His team wanted him to front his own show online.

Speaking on the Private Parts podcast, he said: “You need to focus on you enjoying it. I wasn’t doing it to become famous, I fell into the industry and it’s thriving.

“I can punch people up, which is good physically and mentally, and get paid for it. Been offered millions to do a podcast but don’t enjoy it.”

KSI’s new album All Over The Place dropped on Friday and today (July 17) he’ll be joined by special guests Anne-Marie and Digital Farm Animals at his ground-breaking global event named “The KSI Show.”

The star-studded show will feature a number of performers and surprise acts, with the pair set to make an appearance.

It will follow KSI – whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams ‘JJ’ Olatunji, – from his bedroom where it all started, moving in and out of a dream-like state around custom stages that will incorporate elements of music performances, surreal TV sets, and comedy skits written by Joe Chandler, Nick Wegener, James Farmer, and the man himself.

The musician will perform a medley of some of his biggest tracks over 90 minutes featuring songs from across his discography including “Really Love,” Don’t Play,” “Lighter,” and his latest single “Holiday.”

The performance will be the first time tracks from KSI’s upcoming album are presented live on stage.

In a statement, KSI said: “No one will honestly expect this. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Never done before. Ya boy is gonna take you all on an adventure that will be remembered for years to come.

“I’ll be taking you through my journey from being a YouTuber to a boxer to a musician and more. This experience has everything. Mainstream meets the internet in a way never done before. So, get ready and enjoy.”

R. Kelly Officially Loses Two Members Of His Legal Team

R. Kelly’s legal team has been reshuffled again, as the singer’s longtime attorneys have been granted their request to withdraw from his case just weeks before heading to federal court.

Following Kelly’s hiring of two new lawyers, Thomas Farinella and Nicole Becker, Steve Greenberg and Michael Leonard claimed it was “impossible” for them to work alongside the new attorneys.

They requested a withdrawal from the case, which U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly granted earlier this week.

Judge Donnelly had earlier asked Kelly at a phone hearing on June 9 whether or not he wanted to drop the pair from his representation, to which he replied: “Absolutely, yes ma’am, your honor.”

Expanding on the disagreement in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, Greenberg said: “Ultimately, as trial lawyers and in the interests of the client, we weren’t comfortable professionally with allowing lawyers who have never tried federal criminal cases to have significant trial responsibilities. That approach was not to everyone’s liking.”

R. Kelly is accused of leading an enterprise to recruit women and girls for sex. He denies any wrongdoing. His case is due to head to trial in Brooklyn on August 9.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” star is also set for a separate trial for his child pornography charges in his native Chicago, Illinois in September.

R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

MF DOOM Gets His Own Street In Long Beach, New York

MF DOOM, the celebrated artist that transitioned last year, will be honored in his hometown of Long Beach, New York.

The LIHerald reports that The City Council passed the measure last week that will allow a street in the North Park section of the city, 100 block of East Hudson Street, between Riverside Boulevard and Long Beach Boulevard, to be named “KMD-MF DOOM WAY.”

The President of the Long Beach City Council, John Bendo, stated that “What Billy Crystal is to comedy, MF DOOM was to hip hop. He was a significant artist who came from Long Beach.”

The idea to rename the street moved through The Council fairly swiftly.

According to Corporation Counsel Richard Berrios, “a group of young gentlemen” presented the street change two weeks ago to the council.

He further explained why he agreed that this was an excellent idea, “MF DOOM grew up in Long Beach and was an avid skateboarder and he helped make the sport cross city lines. MF DOOM is a shining example of what Long Beach should be about.”

This was all accomplished through the hard work of a group called the KMD-MF DOOM Way Committee.

Led by the diligent work of Dr. Patrick Graham, the group was able to secure 10,000 petition signatures to prove the public’s desire to see the street name changed.

“The Hip-Hop community often refers to Mr. Dumile as “the rapper’s favorite rapper,” Graham expressed in the petition. “His influence on hip-hop was not fully realized until after facing tragic moments in his life. However, during this period, he called on his youthful experience in Long Beach to reinvent himself as MF DOOM.”

MF DOOM, whose real name was Daniel Dumile, transitioned October 31 2020. His wife made the news public on New Year’s Eve.

No date has been set for the ceremony.

Four People Shot On Interstate After Dusty Locane Show In New Hampshire

Four concert-goers were injured in a drive-by after attending a Hip-Hop show in New Hampshire featuring Brooklyn rapper Dusty Locane at the Jewell Nightclub in Manchester.

Reports say that all of the victims are being treated in a nearby hospital for gunshot wounds sustained while being carried in a van on Interstate 293 near Brown Avenue early morning on Friday, July 16.

According to Sgt. Bryan Plamondin, a state trooper detective, the 15-passenger van was struck with gunfire around 1:45 AM, after the concert was over.

Chief Allen Aldenberg of the Manchester Police Department noted that headquarters was alerted by an officer at the hospital after the four had arrived in the emergency room.

Others, who were in the van when it got shot up, gathered at the hospital and were able to tell law enforcement that they were in a different rap group than Locane, providing details of the shooting.

One woman even had blood on her top and her hand wrapped in a bandage. Locane’s publicist Kevin Grossi said that the artist was not in the van during the assault.

Grossi shared that the “Rollin N Controllin Freestyle” artist had made it home already and that he and those with him were safe.

A few hours later the Manchester police posted a statement regarding the shooting on their Twitter:

“Multiple people shot on Interstate 293 in Manchester. Both Manchester Police and NH State Police are investigating incidents of gunfire.”

The story is developing.

EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Says Jay-Z Trying To Take Over Roc-A-Fella Today And Reveals Another “Troublesome” Plot

Damon Dash just filed a new set of court documents claiming Jay-Z is trying to block his attempt to sell his 1/3 stake in Roc-A-Fella Records and is planning to take over the company as director today (July 16).

The original dispute started over Jay-Z’s claims that Damon was trying to sell the copyrights to the album Reasonable Doubt as an NFT with a company called SuperFarm.

Reasonable Doubt is the only album that is owned by Roc-A-Fella Records, which counts Damon Dash, Jay-Z, and Kareem “Biggs” Burke as shareholders of the company.

Damon Dash maintains he was minting his 1/3 ownership in Roc-A-Fella Records as a digital hologram, which would have been auctioned off for between $10 and $30 million.

A judge granted Jay-Z a temporary restraining order against Damon Dash, preventing him from selling the NFT until the beef is sorted out.

But now, Damon claims Jay-Z has called a shareholder meeting for today (July 16) at 5:00 p.m. where he plans to illegally name himself the director of the label, according to the complaint.

Damon says Jay-Z and Biggs are planning to adopt the bylaws which contain unlawful restrictions on the transfer of shares of Roc-A-Fella Records.

Damon claims the new bylaws will halt his ability to transfer his 1/3 shares. Dame says there is another nefarious plot going on against him as well, courtesy of Jay-Z.

In the separate lawsuit filed earlier this week, Damon accused Jay-Z of illegally transferring the copyrights to Reasonable Doubt to S. Carter Enterprises.

Damon Dash says the move has deprived Roc-A-Fella Records of streaming income the company would have earned, which is now being redirected to S. Carter Enterprises.

“It should be noted that for 25 years RAF operated without issue despite having no bylaws. Now when I am in the process of trying to sell my 1/3 equity interest in RAF, Jay-Z is obviously trying to unlawfully use RAF to take certain actions to prevent me from doing so.” – Damon Dash

Damon Dash also said the new bylaws would indemnify the director of Roc-A-Fella Records from any liability, which would protect Jay-Z from the lawsuit over the illegal transfer of Reasonable Doubt to S. Carter Enterprises.

“This is very troublesome given that Jay-Z was just sued by me on behalf of RAF for essentially stealing the copyrights and/or streaming rights of RAF in the Supreme Court of the State of New York,” Damon Dash said.

Damon maintains that he is the sole director of Roc-A-Fella Records and is the corporation’s only CEO.

He is asking the judge to confirm that no one else can enter into agreements, hire lawyers or call corporate meetings to change the bylaws of the company without his consent.
