Diamond D Weighs In On Latinos’ Contributions To Hip-Hop Debate & New Album, “DUO”

Hip-Hop legend Diamond D isn’t one to shy away from tough conversations, and he recently tackled the polarizing debate about Latino contributions to Hip-Hop while also dropping gems about his latest project, The Diam Piece 3: DUO. Speaking with AllHipHop, the Bronx-born pioneer gave a nuanced take on the issue while paying homage to the shared roots of Black and Puerto Rican communities in the South Bronx, where Hip-Hop was born.

“Latinos were definitely there from the beginning,” Diamond D said. “Did they start Hip-Hop? No, they didn’t. If you look at elements like spinning records and cutting breaks, even someone like Charlie Chase, who you can find on flyers from the late ’70s, he’ll tell you himself that he first saw it with Black people. But we all lived together in the South Bronx. We were neighbors—Puerto Ricans and Black folks—and shared the same spaces.”

Addressing cultural tensions, including the controversial use of the N-word, Diamond D offered context while emphasizing the need for unity.

“In the South Bronx or even the Tri-State area, I’ve seen Puerto Ricans use that word towards each other, not even referencing Black people,” he said. “That was part of the vernacular in those communities. Is it right? No, but it’s the reality I grew up in.”

Diamond D made it clear there’s a distinction between creating Hip-Hop and participating in its early days.

“Puerto Ricans were there, no question,” he said. “They contributed, but there’s a difference between creating and participating. That’s where some people get it twisted.”

Staying Authentic in Hip-Hop’s Evolution

Switching gears, Diamond D shared details about his latest album, Duo, the second installment in his The Diam Piece 3 series. The album features a star-studded lineup, including NemsB-RealEverlastCamp LoKardinal OffishallPeedi Crakk, and Saigon. Even Dr. Dre-affiliated legend Focus from the West Coast is included on the project.

The standout single, “The Sound of New York (TSNY),” featuring NemsSaigon, and T from the Bronx, is already making waves. “It’s got that gritty, classic New York City feel,” he said. “A lot of artists today feel pressure to conform, but I’m not about that. I keep it authentic.”

Diamond D reflected on how the industry has shifted, with algorithms and social media now driving Hip-Hop’s discovery. “Back in the day, it was the streets, radio, and community events. Now, people discover Hip-Hop through Spotify algorithms, the internet, or social media. But for me, staying true to my roots is what keeps my music authentic.”

With Duo, Diamond D hopes to strike a balance between honoring Hip-Hop’s origins and resonating with today’s audience. “I want people to feel that authentic New York vibe. I’m not chasing trends—I’m preserving the sound and culture I came up in. That’s the foundation of this project.”

Conor McGregor Targets UFC Foe In Manic Tweet With Racial Slurs & Offensive Stereotypes

Conor McGregor’s latest social media outburst has sparked widespread outrage and reignited scrutiny of his past controversial rhetoric.

The former UFC lightweight champion unleashed a series of racist and inflammatory comments targeting longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov on January 31.

In a now-deleted post, McGregor attacked Nurmagomedov, his family, and their culture all while using multiple racial epithets for Black people.

The tirade included bizarre and offensive remarks about Nurmagomedov’s family, such as, “Show yo wife n*gga,” and “Show yo kids n*gga. Cousin f##### muthaf*ckin hidin muthaf*cker.”

McGregor continued with references to Irish youth wanting to “compete” against Nurmagomedov’s children.

The two fighters have a contentious history dating back to their infamous 2018 bout, which ended with Nurmagomedov’s victory and a post-fight brawl that led to suspensions for both athletes.

Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 after an undefeated career, citing the death of his father and coach as the reason for his early departure from the sport.

McGregor’s latest comments come amid mounting legal troubles.

Recently, he was found liable for a sexual assault in Dublin and ordered to pay $250,000 to accuser Nikita Hand. McGregor has vowed to appeal the verdict, insisting that the encounter was consensual.

This case is one of several allegations of sexual misconduct McGregor has faced, although he has not been convicted in other instances.

Adding to the chaos, McGregor reignited his feud with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Following the verdict in McGregor’s sexual assault case, Paul taunted him on social media, writing, “Dan hits his wife. Conor’s convicted of rape. But I’m the bad guy?”

McGregor retaliated in a now-deleted post, calling Paul a “gay little nerd” followed by a laughing emoji.

Xzibit, who signed with McGregor’s newly launched Greenback Records last year, shared insights into what makes their collaboration unique and why he stands by the MMA superstar despite his recent legal and personal issues in an interview earlier this month.

When discussing McGregor’s personal character, Xzibit acknowledged the controversies surrounding the fighter but made it clear where he stands.

“I gotta look at it like this; If you can’t stay down with the people in their dark times, you don’t deserve to stand up with them in the light,” Xzibit stated. “From what I’ve seen, the dude is doing the best he can. Great businessman too. His whiskey’s huge.”

GloRilla Says No More Lovin’ For Life!

Who hurt GloRilla?! She just declared that she hates men and is going to be celibate for the rest of her life!

I don’t know what happened, but it’s sad to say that somebody did her so dirty that she’s now proclaiming she’ll never be in a relationship.

Based on what I know about her, it seems like something really catastrophic must have happened. Then again, we don’t know the full context or who the other person is. My most prophetic thought? This won’t last—because, let’s be real, she doesn’t seem like the type to completely disengage from relationships or interactions.

SHE SAID THIS LAST YEAR!:
GloRilla Saving Herself For Marriage Following Pregnancy Prank

Another thing that stands out is that she definitely has a type. And it seems like “that type” keeps violating her as a human being. Maybe she just needs to switch things up and choose differently.

In therapy, they call that having a good “picker.” That way, she might actually find someone who treats her right. I don’t know her personally, but I do know that people tend to attract what they put out into the world. That’s a whole other conversation, but in the meantime, the internet is frying her.

It’s like she needed a perm, and she got it!

Anyway, what do you think about all this? I think she should give a broke dude a shot!

GloRilla Refuses To Be Trapped By Men Trying To Impregnate Her, Wants Surrogate

By the way, GloRilla did a lot of great things last year—she was at the top of our list. All we need from her now is to keep making good music. If this heartbreak inspires some new material, we might get some more dope music as she continues to grow.

YFN Lucci Reunited With Family In Emotional Post-Prison Release Music Video

YFN Lucci is once again a free man and has returned to his family’s warm embrace, following his lengthy prison sentence.

On Friday (January 31), YFN Lucci shared a string of Instagram posts celebrating his release from prison after being behind bars since January 2021.

In a pair of Instagram Story posts, the Atlanta rapper shared intimate clips of his first encounters with his children and other immediate family members after pulling up straight from the correctional facility in a fleet of luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUVs.

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

In a follow up post he shared on his feed, Lucci gave fans an even deeper glimpse into his homecoming in a visual for what will presumably be his first post-prison release.

Along with additional footage of his tearful reunion with family, the track also included a touching message from one of Lucci’s children.

”What’s up, dad I just wanna let you know that I love you,” his kid says tenderly, “I’m praying for you. I think about you every day. I miss you and I can’t wait to see you.”

The comments section of the post was flooded with congratulatory reactions from many of Lucci’s peers such as Pusha T, Blac Youngsta, Hitmaka, Pastor Troy and many others.

“Welcome home,” D.C. Young Fly wrote in a comment while rapper Posa added, “Hell yeah Bolo back.”

Boosie Badazz also reacted to Lucci’s release by posting a video of his daughter’s hilarious viral rant from years ago when she exclaimed, “I told y’all n*ggas, y’all thought I was playin’ but I told y’all n*ggas. He comin’ home today.” In the tweet he shared with the video, Boosie tagged YFN Lucci and wrote, “I miss my child smh,” along with several crying laughing smiley face emojis.

Lucci was charged with multiple offenses, including felony murder, aggravated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity. Last January he pleaded guilty as a part of a plea deal and received a 20-year sentence. While the judge granted YFN Lucci time served and parole eligibility within months, he remained behind bars for the entirety of 2024.

Drake Goes Viral Doing Karaoke In Australia

Drake belted out some of his biggest hits during an intimate karaoke session in Melbourne, setting the tone for his highly anticipated Australian “Anita Max Win Tour,” his first visit Down Under since 2017.

Stepping into a laid-back Melbourne bar, the Canadian Hip-Hop star performed tracks like “Rich Baby Daddy” to an audience filled with starstruck patrons.

The unexpected performance, shared on Drake’s Instagram account, also included his renditions of fan-favorite tracks such as “Trust Issues,” “Faithful,” and “Pipe Down.”

The night seemed more like a warm-up for his tour than a casual outing as the rapper previewed what fans can expect from the artist’s packed Australian itinerary set to kick off in early February.

Drake’s upcoming “Anita Max Win Tour” is a nod to his “alter ego,” “Anita Max Wynn,” whom Drake humorously introduced during a December 2023 live stream.

The character’s name riffs off the gambling/internet-meme, “I need a max win.”

Initially set to begin on February 9 in Melbourne, booming demand prompted the addition of an earlier show on February 4 in Perth at the RAC Arena.

The six-city tour, Drake’s first in Australia since his “Boy Meets World Tour” in 2017, includes stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland, New Zealand.

The tour comes off the massive success of his North American “It’s All A Blur Tour,” which sold out a staggering 80 shows.

Drake arrived in Australia last week and started posting photos of himself. A picture of him stepping off his private jet gave fans a first glimpse, followed by snapshots of him dining at Nobu with close friends.

The dates for Drake’s “Anita Max Win Tour” are listed below:

February 4 – RAC Arena, Perth

February 9-10 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne

February 16-17 – Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney

February 24-25 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre

February 28-March 1 – Spark Arena, Auckland

Offset Accused Of Taunting Cardi B Using Nicki Minaj’s Favorite Meme

Offset caused controversy with a recent social media post, sharing an explicit meme featuring a character favored by his estranged wife Cardi B’s longtime rival, Nicki Minaj.

Minaj is known for frequently using Chucky memes from the Child’s Play franchise as cryptic reactions on social media. So when an explicit image surfaced on Offset’s feed, depicting the infamous doll engaged in a sex act with a female character from the movies, social media users had plenty to say.

X/Offset

Many speculated that Offset used the Chucky meme to take a jab at Cardi B, with some linking it to her recent intimate piercing. Others, however, suggested he was subtly hinting at a possible reconciliation with the mother of his youngest children.

“Taunting your wife using a tactic from her nemesis is…… wow,” one said. “But I don’t like her so continue.”

Another said, “Not surprised. Offset’s always had a thing for Nicki.”

A third implied both Cardi B and Offset are obsessed with Nicki Minaj. “As soon as nicki use chucky here yall go. WOW its shocking to see how much nicki lives in yalls head,” they noted. “Like she really is you and your entire ex families life you should be so embarrassed.”

Cardi B Slams Offset In Heated Rant

Offset and Cardi B’s tumultuous divorce has increasingly played out on social media in recent months.

Just weeks ago, the mother of three publicly called out Offset, accusing him of being spiteful towards her and their children out of sheer resentment.

“You want to talk about, ‘Oh, you haven’t accepted the divorce because you’re not gonna agree on my terms because you just want to see the kids,’ you just called your daughter for the first time this year yesterday,” Cardi revealed. “You love your kids so much, and you bought them s### for Christmas, but you came to New York to buy your other kids gifts and bought my kids s### on purpose to spite me.”

Speaking during an X Spaces broadcast, she also claimed Offset and his mother stole from her.

EST Gee Recalls Shocking Encounter With Officer Involved In Breonna Taylor’s Death

EST Gee has revealed that he encountered the officer involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor in 2020 well before he was legally an of age adult.

On Friday (January 31), the Create Music Group (CMG) signee appeared in an interview with The Breakfast Club to promote his latest album I Ain’t Feeling You, which includes features from Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Veeze and Rylo Rodriguez across 12 tracks. Among the numerous topics covered during the conversation was EST Gee’s native hometown of Kentucky. As he began speaking about the temperament of the Midwestern city, he quickly sidestepped to reference Taylor’s shooting death.

“Kentucky’s like one of them places like, it’s like an old school, I don’t want to say crooked because I still got to be up around through there,” EST Gee said in part.

As he continued to make his way through his measured statement, EST Gee shared a harrowing anecdote about former Louisville Metro Police Officer Brett Hankinson. The former officer faced three counts of wanton endangerment in 2020 for firing into a neighboring apartment during the unlawful no-knock warrant raid that resulted in Taylor’s death while she slept. Believe it or not, EST Gee says he was also on the firing end of the barrel of Hankinson’s gun once before as a prepubescent youth.

“Y’all remember the Breonna Taylor stuff?” he questioned the hosts. “And uh, y’all remember Hankison? The, the sheriff—the one that, the one that killed her. He, he, he walked me home at gunpoint when I was like 10 years old in my granny’s apartment”

As he continued to describe the encounter, EST Gee alluded to individual’s like Hankinson being apart of the longstanding issues with law enforcement in his community.

“He notorious for what he did,” he declared. “But it’s a bunch of them though that’s like that, you know what I’m saying? Like that’s a thing in, in Kentucky, like Hankinson, Brett Hankinson.”

In March 2022, Hankison was acquitted of all charges after a jury trial. The prosecution argued that his actions were dangerous and reckless, while the defense maintained that he was responding to gunfire from Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, who believed intruders were breaking into the apartment. No officer, including Hankison, was criminally charged directly for Breonna Taylor’s death, sparking widespread protests and calls for justice.

EXCLUSIVE: YE Ends Long-Running Dispute With Bishop Over Song Theft

Ye and the pastor who sued him over alleged copyright infringement have officially called it quits in the courtroom.

On Thursday (January 30), a judge dismissed the case with prejudice, effectively closing the book on a lawsuit that accused the Hip-Hop icon of lifting portions of a sermon for his song “Come to Life.”

The lawsuit was initially brought by Bishop David Paul Moten against Ye, along with Def Jam Recordings, UMG Recordings, Inc., and G.O.O.D. Music claimed that a significant portion of Moten’s 2011 sermon, “Thank God for Saving Me.”

The sermon was sampled in “Come to Life” from Ye’s 2021 album Donda.

In the suit filed on June 30, 2023, the bishop alleged that approximately 70 seconds of the sermon were used without his authorization or compensation.

The sampled portions reportedly accounted for 20% of the track and included the heartfelt phrase: “My soul cries out, ‘Hallelujah,’ And I thank God for saving me.”

The lawsuit alleged copyright infringement, unjust enrichment, and conversion, claiming Kanye West and his collaborators unfairly profited from Moten’s sermon.

Moten further pursued damages, including disgorgement of profits and statutory penalties.

According to court filings, both the plaintiff and defendants signed a stipulation agreeing to dismiss the case, eliminating the need for a court order.

Moten sought to end the dispute with prejudice, meaning he cannot refile the lawsuit in the future. Ye did not object.

Terms of the deal, if any, were not released.

Tyler, The Creator, Headed to the Super Bowl? Fans Think So

Is Tyler, The Creator and some special guests going to rush the stage at the Super Bowl with Kendrick Lamar?

It makes sense after his post on social media.

Fans are piecing together breadcrumbs after Tyler dropped a cryptic post with just one word: “STICKY…”

The video that went along with the post shows a bunch of football players and Tyler, The Creator, marching to his song “Sticky,” which features Sexyredd, GloRilla and Lil Wayne.

This would be an epic move if Kendrick actually brought out Lil Wayne at Super Bowl LIX, considering the uproar over the fact that Weezy felt slighted over not being picked to perform in his hometown.

However, if the Young Money boss takes the stage with Kendrick, it would almost certainly be the end of his relationship with Drake – K. Dot’s mortal enemy.

Naturally, the internet went into full detective mode and the leading theory? He’s popping up alongside Kendrick Lamar for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

EXCLUSIVE: Public Enemy Reunites For Impromptu Performance Of “Fight The Power”

The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) held its Restore & Rebuild L.A. fundraiser at Delilah in West Hollywood on Wednesday (January 29). Legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, most famous for their work on Janet Jackson’s catalog, were also on deck to award the third annual Music Maker Grants to this year’s recipients, Sapphyre Bardot and Najaya Ruffin.

Special guests included Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Flavor Flav, Sony Music Publishing CEO Jon Platt, Trae Tha Truth, Hipgnosis founder Merck Mercuriadis, powerhouse attorney Dina LaPolt, SiriusXM’s Tracey Jordan and, of course, BMAC CEO/Chairman Willie “Prophet” Stiggers and BMAC Co-Founder Caron Veazey.

Following the grant presentation, Chuck D stepped up to the mic and recounted his experience in the town of Altadena, which was decimated by the recent Palisades Fire. During his speech, he introduced a 10-year-old named Grayson, whose family’s home was destroyed in the blaze. Grayson, a prodigious drummer, showed off his chops for the crowd shortly after he was presented with thousands of dollars to help his family.

From there, Chuck D and Flavor Flav performed a live rendition of “Fight the Power” backed by a full band. Chuck’s voice, commanding as ever, ripped through the crowd as Flav delivered his signature ad-libs and the same dance moves he did in the 1989 video for the groundbreaking track.

“Fight the Power” is one of the most significant protest songs in Hip-Hop history, serving as a rallying cry for social justice and resistance against systemic oppression. Originally created for Spike Lee’s film Do the Right Thing, the song was a defining statement of the era. With lines challenging figures like Elvis Presley and John Wayne, it reinforced the need for unity in the face of oppression, one that still resonates today.

The song’s impact extended beyond music, fueling conversations about race, injustice and the role of Hip-Hop as a tool for activism. Its defiant message inspired a new generation of artists to address political and social issues in their music, reinforcing rap’s potential as a voice for the marginalized.

Over the decades, “Fight the Power” has remained relevant, frequently referenced during protests and movements advocating for racial equality, including Black Lives Matter. Its influence on both music and activism cemented Public Enemy’s legacy as pioneers of politically-charged Hip-Hop, demonstrating that music—much like the Black Music Action Coalition—can be a powerful vehicle for change.

Drill Artist Digga D Receives Prison Sentence For Cannabis Supply

Digga D has been sentenced to 3 years and 11 months in prison for supplying cannabis.

At a sentencing hearing on Friday (January 31), at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Simon Hirst determined that Digga D (born Rhys Herbert) played a significant role in selling cannabis for commercial profit, local news outlets report.

The judge stated: “First, Mr. Herbert was involved in supply of cannabis over a period of at least 7 months from about January 2023 to July 2023. Second, the amount of cannabis which came into the possession of Mr. Herbert was at least 50.65 kilograms.”

Judge Hirst concluded that at least 45 kilograms of cannabis was sold for profit.

The court heard Digga D, who appeared via video link during the sentencing, has six previous convictions for 13 offenses. His record includes possessing an offensive weapon and violent disorder.

James Scobie, the rapper’s attorney, argued that Digga’s past offenses were irrelevant, noting they were committed when he was a teenager. Scobie also stated this was “very much a first offense in terms of drugs supply” adding that Digga had “lost a year of his professional life.”

The U.K. drill artist has spent the last 10 months on remand at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.

During a previous hearing, Digga D claimed he began smoking cannabis at age 12 to help with frequent migraines.

Despite his legal troubles, Digga D continues to keep his fans engaged from behind bars. He sent a message to his fans as news of his sentencing emerged and also released a new single, “Okra & Fiji.”

“We all make mistakes but remember God has a plan for all of us,” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a jailhouse image. “I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to write to me.”

Russell Simmons Backs Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Health Nomination Despite Controversy

Russell Simmons is expressing support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination as Secretary of Health and Human Services despite controversy surrounding Kennedy’s views on the safety of vaccines.

The Def Jam founder posted a detailed statement on social media Thursday (January 30) in support of Kennedy Jr., following his confirmation hearings before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Capitol Hill this week.

Simmons highlighted that he prefers investigating his “friend” Kennedy’s claims rather than relying on politicians swayed by the pharmaceutical and food industries, while citing concerns about health issues affecting his own age group.

He also referenced past government actions, like the crack cocaine epidemic, as reasons for his distrust.

“i would rather we investigate every “conspiracy theory” or “crazy claim” that Bobby Kennedy makes.. then to trust all the republicans or democrats , who are paid for by the pharmaceudical and food industries, Simmons began. “This is not about democrats or republicans ..its about all my friends in my age group being sick and dying.”

Simmons stated his support for Kennedy, describing him as a lifelong friend with good intentions.

“To my democratic friends who think I’m crazy) Liberals used to be progressive,” he added. “Listening is a progressive trait) but God bless you too. Those friends who attack me for having an opinion go eat some Fruit Loops [heart emoji]. Ps im a promoter of health spiritual physical ans mental and i want to question / challenge our health care system.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearings concluded on Thursday (January 30). He faced intense questioning over his past statements on vaccines during both days of hearings.

Kennedy attempted to distance himself from his previous anti-vaccine rhetoric, stating, “I am pro-safety” and that he supports vaccines.

However, senators continued to press Kennedy on his history of spreading health misinformation.

The Senate Finance Committee is expected to vote next week on whether to advance Kennedy’s nomination to the full Senate. Kennedy’s confirmation remains uncertain, with key Republican support hanging in the balance.

If confirmed, Kennedy would oversee a large federal agency responsible for managing healthcare for around 170 million Americans, regulating access to drugs and vaccines, and monitoring urgent disease and foodborne illness outbreaks.

Meanwhile, Caroline Kennedy sharply criticized her cousin in a pointed open letter to the U.S. Senate. Branding him a “predator,” she urged lawmakers to reject his potential appointment.

“He lacks any relevant government, financial, management, or medical experience. His views on vaccines are dangerous and willfully misinformed,” Caroline stated. “It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator.”

Tyga Slams Alabama Barker Rumors: “Dumbest Sh*t I Ever Heard”

Tyga is setting the record straight after getting dragged into the beef between Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker.

Earlier this week, the feud heated up with Bhabie making allegations that Barker, the 19-year-old daughter of Travis Barker, once had a relationship with Soulja Boy and got pregnant by Tyga.

After initially calling cap on the rumors, the “Taste” hitmaker hopped on social media to categorically deny the “ridiculous” claims.

“This the dumbest s### I ever heard,” Tyga tweeted Thursday night (January 30). “yall believe anything yall see online.”

Tyga firmly denied the rumors, insisting he has never been intimate with Alabama Barker and calling the allegations absurd.

“I have never had any sort of physical relationship with Alabama,” he added. “It’s honestly ridiculous I even have to address it.”

The speculation stemmed from Bhad Bhabie’s recent diss “Over Cooked,” in which she made claims about Barker and her supposed relations with the two rappers.

Barker denied the claims in a TikTok comment, stating “Absolutely not.”

She then followed up with a lengthy statement slamming Bhabie’s “pathetic lies,” branding her claims “nonsense.”

“To be clear, I have never been pregnant, never had an abortion, and have never been alone with Tyga or Soulja Boy outside of public settings,” she wrote. “The idea of any personal relationship between us is completely fabricated– nothing more than a sad and baseless rumor to gain attention.”

Like Tyga, Soulja Boy denied sleeping with Alabama Barker but went even further, threatening Bhad Bhabie with a lawsuit.

According to Soulja, the rapper and OnlyFans model made up the story out of spite because he once curved her.

“I’m finna sue your stupid ass for defamation of character,” he added. “I want 10 million. So stop getting on the f###### internet lying on my name, speaking on my name. You not Black, you don’t belong in this culture. Now leave our m f###### culture alone, keep my name out your mouth, b####.”

Dr. Dre Reveals Which Move Drake Made That Justifies Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Diss

Dr. Dre has explained the exact point in which he ruled out fair competition Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s rap battle last year, and of course it has to deal with how the Toronto MC approached the beef.

On Thursday (January 30), The Chronic album architect appeared on the first-ever episode of the new podcast The Unusual Suspects With Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell, during which he discussed Kendrick’s anthemic diss track “Not Like Us.”

To make a short story even shorter, Dr. Dre pointed to Drake’s decision to attack not only Kendrick but his family as a move he took particular issue with.

“I love that record,” Dr. Dre said. “I’ma say this on camera. I don’t want to get negative. My whole s–t is about being positive and moving forward and all that s–t, but the fact I heard Drake say something negative about Kendrick’s wife and his kids, that made me say, ‘Ah, adios!’”

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

It appears as though “The Recipe” hitmaker is referring to the domestic and paternity allegations Drake made against Kendrick, which targeted his partner Whitney Alford and longtime collaborator Dave Free on tracks such as “Push Ups” and “Family Matters.”

With Dr. Dre’s remarks falling on the heels of the lawsuit Drake filed against Universal Music Group over “Not Like Us,” his words could be construed as justification for Kendrick’s pedophile allegations embedded in the catchy bridge of the song, that just so happens to be at the center of Drizzy’s lawsuit.

This also isn’t the first time that Dr. Dre has addressed the song. Last November he and his Missionary album collaborator Snoop Dogg praised “Not Like Us” for being a cultural beacon for all things West Coast, including gang culture.

Watch Snoop’s take on the power of the song in the post below.

Soulja Boy Calls Bhad Bhabie “A Crackhead “As Alabama Barker Rumors Spiral Out Of Control

Soulja Boy has broken his silence following a new accusation from Bhad Bhabie regarding a rumored connection between him and her nemesis Alabama Barker.

The rapper went live on social media to unleash a fiery tirade, denying the claims and threatening legal action against Bhad Bhabie for claiming he slept with Barker—which he says is a lie.

He began by addressing Bhad Bhabie’s allegations that he was intimate with Barker at the same time she was pregnant by Tyga and allegedly got an abortion.

“Bhad Bhabie, you crackhead b*tch,” Soulja Boy exclaimed. “Why the f*ck you got my name in your mouth for?”

Soulja Boy did not hold back as he continued, accusing Bhad Bhabie of fabricating stories out of her own bitterness.

“Ain’t your baby daddy beating the f*ck out you every day?” he questioned rhetorically. “Don’t you got black eyes every time you go live? Don’t you wanna be a fake Black girl?.”

He also alleged that Bhad Bhabie was crafting the narrative out of spite, due to an encounter they previously had during which Soulja Boy claims he curved her.

“Ain’t you was at my house in Malibu trying to suck my d*ck and I said, no,” he alleged. “So you mean to tell me because I ain’t let you, you mad you getting on this internet lying on my name?”

As his frustration mounted, Soulja Boy announced his intent to take legal action.

“Now when I sue your little stupid b*tch and take that little OnlyFans money you got, then I’m wrong, right?” he questioned

“I’m finna sue your stupid a** for defamation of character,” he added. “I want 10 million. So stop getting on the f*cking internet lying on my name, speaking on my name. You not Black, you don’t belong in this culture. Now leave our m f*cking culture alone, keep my name out your mouth, b*tch.”

Soulja Boy’s explicit warning to Bhad Bhabie follows a months-long escalation in the feud between the OnlyFans creator and Barker.

Last December, their beef intensified after the 18-year-old daughter of Travis Barker accused the rapper’s boyfriend of assaulting her. The drama kicked off after Bhad Bhabie accused Barker of taking her boyfriend and child’s father, Le Vaughn, from her.

However, Alabama Barker returned fire on Tuesday, insisting that she doesn’t want Le Vaughn and alleged he hit her with a bottle during a trip to Las Vegas last year.

She took to her Instagram Stories to Le Vaughn on blast, posting a photo of the eye injury she allegedly sustained.

“LV and our friend group traveled to Las Vegas last year prior to me knowing that they were together, during which he threw a bottle at my head, resulting in a significant injury,” she wrote. “His behavior was not only reckless but also deeply concerning. It’s troubling to see that, despite his actions, she continues to defend him, even after what I told her he had done.”

SIGNS: POTUS Donald Trump Blames “DEI” Dems Blame Elon Musk For Tragic Helicopter Crash

Both President Donald Trump and Elon Musk have mounted controversial stances in their speculation about the cause of a deadly crash between a military helicopter and a commercial airliner.

President Donald Trump linked diversity, equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to the recent tragic midair collision involving an American Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk military helicopter during a press conference on January 30,

The crash claimed the lives of 64 passengers, including 14 figure skaters, and three helicopter crew members, marking the first major U.S. commercial plane crash since 2009. Both Trump and Musk have suggested that hiring practices influenced by DEI may have played a role in the fatal crash.

When pressed by a reporter on how he could reach such a conclusion before the investigation was complete during the press conference, Trump stated, “Because I have common sense, okay? And unfortunately, a lot of people don’t.”

Trump emphasized the need for high standards in air traffic control and aviation roles, arguing that DEI initiatives compromise the selection of qualified personnel.

“We want the brightest, the smartest, the sharpest,” he said. “We want somebody that’s psychologically superior.”

Elon Musk, who leads the Trump Administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, also quickly blamed DEI hiring initiatives for the tragedy in a string of tweets on Twitter, in which he also pointed the finger at the Biden administration.

“Under the Biden administration, the FAA [the Federal Aviation Administration] and other government agencies had absolutely insane hiring practices that endangered the public,” Elon Musk wrote in the tweet. “President @realDonaldTrump and his team are working rapidly to restore competent personnel to all positions involving your safety.”

Musk, however, is facing backlash because he repeatedly demanded that FAA Administrator Michael Whitaker, resign due to $600,000 in civil penalties Whitaker proposed fining his SpaceX company for failing to follow license requirements in a pair of 2023 launches.

Whitaker, a 30-year aviation industry veteran who was unanimously confirmed by the Senate in 2023, resigned on January 20. Former Secretary of Labor Robert R#### ripped into Musk in a tweet over his actions following the disaster.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), who represents New York’s 14th district, also pointed fingers at Trump and Musk.

“I represent LaGuardia Airport as well as workers for JFK,” AOC wrote in the tweet. “Trump gutted the Aviation Safety committee last week. Air traffic controllers – already understaffed – got Trump’s ‘buyout’ this week with a 1 week ultimatum to decide. It’s not DEI – it’s him. And Elon too.”

Trump further claimed that psychological and cognitive tests, which he said had been terminated by President Joe Biden’s administration, were crucial for ensuring air traffic safety. “We had a much higher standard than anybody else,” Trump said. He stopped short of providing direct evidence linking DEI policies to the crash but insisted, “It just could have been.”

The devastating collision occurred near the Potomac River as Flight 5342, returning from Wichita, Kansas, was making its final approach to Reagan National Airport.

Diddy Slams Feds For Calling Girlfriend Victims In “Flawed” New Indictment

Sean “Diddy” Combs and his legal team are pushing back against a new superseding indictment filed by prosecutors, dismissing the latest charges as “flawed” and calling the government’s efforts an attempt to paint a distorted picture.

Attorney Marc Agnifilo, who represents the music mogul, did not hold back in his criticism, rebuking the allegations and questioning the credibility of the prosecution’s case in increasingly heated legal proceedings.

“The latest indictment contains no new offenses,” Agnifilo said in a pointed statement. “The prosecution’s theory remains flawed. The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”

Diddy, currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in September, faces a mountain of serious allegations, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.

Prosecutors have described him as the alleged leader of a sprawling operation that they claim used his influence in the music world to exploit women and facilitate illegal activities.

His defense team, however, said that the charges are not only baseless but rely on a warped reading of his personal and professional life.

The new legal filing, which prosecutors tout as a significant update, appears to hinge on a reclassification of two women from Diddy’s past—described previously as his romantic partners—into alleged victims of sex trafficking.

His attorneys slammed prosecutors and said this represents a desperate bid to strengthen a case that has struggled to gain traction.

The legal battle has been filled with procedural disputes.

Diddy’s lawyers say they have faced restricted access to critical evidence, including electronic records essential for the defense’s preparation.

The constraints of Diddy’s detention at MDC, a facility often criticized for deplorable conditions, have further complicated the defense team’s ability to mount their case.

Despite the latest legal hurdles for the embattled rap mogul, Diddy maintains his innocence.

His trial is currently slated for May 2025.

LiAngelo Ball Claims He’s Better Than Cam’ron At Rapping & Hooping

LiAngelo Ball still refuses to bow down to Cam’ron amid their ongoing back and forth, and instead, has decided to boot the veteran Dipset lyrcist to a post beneath his own.

On Thursday (January 30), LiAngelo, whose rap name is G3, appeared in a new interview with Speedy Morman for Complex—during which he addressed the friction with Cam’ron. The former NBA G-league basketball player-turned-rapper didn’t hold back when discussing his skills both on the court and in the booth, declaring himself superior to none other than Harlem rap legend.

When asked about his response to Cam’ron’s previous commentary, LiAngelo brushed it off with cool confidence.

“I don’t deal with it, like that don’t bother me, bro,” LiAngelo said. “I’ll just address it because I ain’t finna get punked for nothing. Like, dawg, what is you saying? They [Cam’ron and Ma$e] don’t know me at all.”

LiAngelo continued, making it clear that even though they don’t know each other, he’s seen enough to know that he’s better than Cam at a number of things—which includes rapping. “I think I rap colder than him,” he said. “Basketball colder than him.”

He stood firm under pressure from Morman who agreed that although he is likely the better hooper than Cam’ron, who had no real professional career, he is far less experienced as he is when it comes to music. “It’s not a discussion though, bro,” he declared, before adding “Me personally, yeah, I feel that way,” when asked if he feels “musically” he’s more advanced than Cam.

LiAngelo’s latest comments follow a string of highly critical, and often offensive remarks, Cam’ron has made on his sports talkshow It Is What It Is alongside Ma$e. Earlier this month, Cam blamed the Detroit Lions’ loss in their divisional round game against the Washington Commanders on LiAngelo’s performance of his hit song at the halftime break. Also, in October 2024, Cam’ron and LiAngelo traded shots at each other after Cam roasted G3 for his career playing overseas and alleged he wasn’t good enough to make it in the NBA like his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo Ball.

EXCLUSIVE: Diddy Hit With Superseding Indictment – More Kidnapping Victims, Arson And Drug Trafficking

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles are deepening after federal prosecutors unveiled a superseding indictment returned by a Grand Jury, expanding the scope of his alleged criminal enterprise.

While the charges remain the same, the new filing extends the alleged racketeering conspiracy to 20 years, adds multiple new victims, and introduces more kidnapping allegations and new claims of arson, according to court documents filed on Thursday (January 30).

Prosecutors say Diddy’s billion-dollar empire, which spanned music, fashion and spirits, was nothing but a front for a decades-long criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking, drug distribution and acts of violence.

The new charges expanded the timeline of the disgraced mogul’s alleged crimes, claiming that his criminal activities spanned from 2004 through 2024.

They claim that his lucrative enterprise was built on crime and they are seeking to seize the assets and money Diddy earned or owned from 2004 through 2024.

Federal authorities have now identified three additional women, referred to in court filings as Victim-1, Victim-2, and Victim-3, all of whom were allegedly trafficked for his Freak Off’s, assaulted, and controlled within Diddy’s network.

The indictment details violent coercion, forced drug use and financial manipulation to keep these victims under his control.

The government’s latest revelations include allegations of kidnapping in New York and California, alleging that Diddy used physical force, threats, and confinement to prevent women from escaping his influence.

As for the arson charges, the feds had already claimed Diddy instructed someone to blow up Kid Cudi’s care in a jealous rage over Cassie. In the new indictment, the Feds have added arson, attempted arson, conspiracy and aiding and abetting to the laundry list of charges against Diddy.

The superseding indictment also expands upon Diddy’s alleged involvement in the drug trade, adding methamphetamine and psilocin (hallucinogenic mushrooms) to the growing list of substances he and his associates allegedly possessed and distributed.

This aligns with previous accusations that Diddy used narcotics as a tool of control, forcing victims into a state of compliance and dependency.

Diddy’s legal team has denied all accusations, arguing that the government lacks direct evidence linking him to organized criminal activity and that any sexual activity was consensual.

However, the revised indictment complicates any effort to downplay the charges, particularly given the expanded scope and additional victims.

Thanks to the new allegations and to make things worse, the Feds filed notice of a Special Sentencing Factor – which means the amount of time Diddy could spend in prison could be much longer.

Diddy has been locked up in the Metropolitan Detention Center, where he has been held since his September arrest, despite offering up a $50 million bail package.

The judge ordered him held without bail over concerns that the Bad Boy founder is a flight risk and that he may try to intimidate witnesses.
