Promoters pulled the plug on Chris Brown’s upcoming Memphis concert, abruptly canceling the October 18 stop of his Breezy Bowl XX tour at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium—a show that would have marked the venue’s first major concert in 25 years.

Ticketmaster confirmed the cancellation but didn’t offer a reason. Refunds will be processed automatically within 14 to 21 days, according to the ticketing platform.

The Memphis date was set to feature Bryson Tiller and Jhené Aiko as special guests and would have been a landmark event for the stadium, which typically hosts college football games and the Southern Heritage Classic.

Despite the Memphis cancellation, Brown’s Breezy Bowl XX tour has been a financial juggernaut. As reported by Billboard, the tour has generated $241.4 million in gross revenue and moved 1.7 million tickets as of September 27.

That’s a 193% jump in earnings and a 270% spike in attendance compared to his previous tour. The tour has also shifted Brown from arenas to ballparks, tripling audience capacity.

In August alone, he pulled in $96.8 million from 14 shows, topping Billboard’s monthly touring chart for the first time in his career. The European leg was equally lucrative, bringing in $58.5 million from 14 sold-out dates and nearly half a million tickets sold.

Brown’s career has long walked a line between commercial success and legal drama.

In 2025, he was arrested in the United Kingdom after being accused of assaulting a music producer with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in June.

Earlier this year, Brown also filed a $500 million lawsuit against Warner Bros., claiming a documentary falsely depicted him as a “serial abuser.”

Despite the legal turbulence, the Breezy Bowl XX tour rolls on.

With seven shows left, and an average of $7 million per stop in North America, analysts expect the tour to rake in another $45 million to $50 million.

That would push Brown’s career touring revenue past $500 million, placing him among the top-earning R&B performers in history.

The Memphis show was intended to honor Brown’s 20-year milestone in music, celebrating his evolution from a teenage breakout to a stadium-level headliner.

The Smashing Machine is the latest A24 film, directed by Benny Safdie (Good Time, Uncut Gems), and starring Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten and more.

The Smashing Machine tells the turbulent story of Mark Kerr, one of the most dominant MMA fighters of the late 1990s. Instead of covering his entire life, Safdie focuses on the years between 1997 and 2000, when Kerr was an active fighter in Japan’s PRIDE FC organization. In addition to capturing Kerr’s competitive nature and select fights from his career, the film explores the fragility of his personal life and his struggles outside the ring.

The Smashing Machine is a deep character study of Mark Kerr — the man, the warrior, and the individual grappling with harmful addictions that nearly placed him on the path to self-destruction. I found the film both thoughtful and informative, highlighting Kerr’s fighting spirit, the pressure he put on himself to win, and the complex relationship he had with his girlfriend, Dawn. By capturing a focused period of his life, the film does an earnest job juxtaposing Kerr’s warrior-like mindset with his gentle spirit outside the ring.

Throughout its two-hour, three-minute runtime, the film delves into heavy themes such as resilience, vulnerability, love and co-dependency. It also exposing the darker inner workings of the early MMA industry. Rather than relying solely on the feel-good clichés common to many sports biopics, the film is unafraid to get downright ugly at times. From the toxicity of his romantic relationship to the painful toll of his fight career and the addiction that nearly killed him, The Smashing Machine unflinchingly depicts the toll these struggles took on Kerr.

In terms of performances, supporting players such as Ryan Bader (as Mark Coleman) and Bas Rutten (playing himself) serve the story well as Kerr’s close friend and fight trainer, respectively. Both have strong on-screen chemistry in their scenes with Johnson. Emily Blunt gives a standout performance as Dawn, Kerr’s girlfriend, bringing to life an on-screen dynamic with Johnson that is compassionate, complex, toxic and heartbreaking.

As for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, I thought he did an excellent job portraying Mark Kerr. As a longtime fan of Johnson’s work as a wrestler, entertainer and Hollywood action star, I found this to be the most challenging acting role of his career. Johnson rises to the occasion, immersing himself in the character with emotion, nuance, depth and vulnerability. He exudes Kerr’s fighting style, mannerisms, and soft-spoken vocal inflections. Johnson reportedly gained 30 pounds of muscle for the role, and this effort — combined with the exceptional prosthetic work of the makeup team — showcases the dedication of Johnson and the production to authentically bringing Kerr to the screen.

In terms of direction, Benny Safdie delivers an up-close and personal look into the tumultuous world of Mark Kerr. He combines careful direction with the unflinching, handheld-style camerawork of cinematographer Maceo Bishop to create a unique visual aesthetic. The fight sequences feel raw and unpolished rather than overly stylized, adding a sense of realism throughout. Rounding out the film’s strong production is the quiet, jazz-influenced score by Nala Sinephro, which complements the chaos of Kerr’s life.

On the critical side, the film’s pacing is occasionally uneven due to recurring moments of melodrama. Additionally, the editing sometimes lacks the polish seen in other films in the genre. That said, one could argue the film intentionally mirrors the natural “ebbs and flows” of the 2002 documentary on Kerr on which it is largely based.

Overall, I found The Smashing Machine to be a straightforward yet thoughtful and introspective film. Backed by strong performances and a commitment to character authenticity, it offers an honest and moving portrait of Mark Kerr. While it may not carry the cinematic weight of more recent sports biopics like 2023’s The Iron Claw, it succeeds in providing an open and heartfelt portrait of an MMA legend.

The Smashing Machine is showing in theaters everywhere and comes highly recommended for fans of Mark Kerr, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or the sport of MMA in general.

Political War Erupts In Canada After Rap Group Banned From The Country

Kneecap ignited a political firestorm in Canada after conflicting government statements about the Irish Hip-Hop trio’s alleged ban from entering the country led opposition leaders to accuse Prime Minister Mark Carney’s administration of either dishonesty or political backpedaling.

The controversy began when parliamentary secretary Vince Gasparro declared in September that Kneecap was “ineligible to enter Canada” due to their alleged support for “political violence.”

But the group’s team pushed back hard, saying they never received any official ban and calling the claim “wholly untrue and deeply malicious.”

The dispute escalated when Conservative deputy leader Melissa Lantsman demanded accountability, saying, “Either the parliamentary secretary lied to his constituents and all Canadians knowingly, or the government is cowering now in the face of controversy. But either way, Canadians deserve an answer from a government that has stood on both sides of this issue.”

At the heart of the uproar is a November 2024 concert in London, where Kneecap member Mo Chara, was accused of displaying a Hezbollah flag. Both Canada and the United Kingdom list Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

But the legal case against Mo Chara collapsed in September when UK Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring dismissed the terrorism charge, calling it “unlawful” and “null” because prosecutors failed to file the case within the required timeframe.

“This entire process was never about me,” Mo Chara said outside the courthouse. “It was always about Gaza, about what happens if you dare to speak up.”

Formed in Belfast in 2017, Kneecap has built a reputation for politically charged lyrics and outspoken support for Palestinian causes. The group performs primarily in Irish Gaelic and has previously been criticized for its stance on Israel’s actions in Gaza.

Jenny Kwan, an NDP Member of Parliament, questioned the timing of Gasparro’s announcement, which came before the UK court ruling. “Canada needs to make sure that such decisions are accountable and that they’re not subject to arbitrary and political weaponization,” she told the National Post_._

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs had already raised concerns about Kneecap’s planned appearances in Canada, launching an “action alert” in July to press the government for clarity on the group’s admissibility.

Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab has declined to comment, citing privacy laws.

Her department stated that individuals can be denied entry for reasons related to “security, human or international rights violations, or criminal activity,” but refused to address Kneecap’s case directly.

The dispute has exposed deeper divisions within the Liberal Party, especially as tensions over the Israel-Hamas conflict and rising antisemitism continue to dominate political discourse.

Jewish advocacy groups have criticized the federal response to hate crimes since the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas.

Kneecap’s Canadian tour dates, including shows in Toronto, remain listed as canceled. Still, the group insists no official ban was ever issued.

A quick search easily disproves the claim. Andre René Roussimoff — the French wrestling icon known to millions simply as Andre the Giant — had only one child, a daughter named Robin Christensen-Roussimoff. She’s 46 years old, born in France and was raised in the United States.

Robin has maintained a relatively private life (her IG is private, too) but made headlines a few years ago when Netflix released Andre the Giant. The documentary explored her father’s career and personal struggles. She appeared in the film and shared reflections about their distant relationship. With AI-generated content and fake quotes becoming more sophisticated, separating fact from fiction is increasingly difficult. False celebrity statements like this spread fast. People don’t even use Google. For now, there’s nary a sign that Eminem is weighing in on the feud. Not a single credible outlet has reported the alleged comments. But, we’ll debunk it now, before it gets legs.

What is clear is how quickly a made-up narrative can take hold and how easily public perception can be manipulated. If there’s a takeaway: don’t believe everything you read. Come to AHH for the real.

Trump Administration Escalates Rhetoric Against Bad Bunny Super Bowl Performance

Bad Bunny and his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance have drawn sharp criticism from Trump administration officials who continue to warn of potential immigration crackdowns at the 2026 NFL championship in California.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem lashed out at the NFL’s decision to book the Puerto Rican-born reggaeton star, claiming the league’s executives “won’t be able to sleep at night” after choosing him to headline the show.

“They suck, and we’ll win, and God will bless us, and we’ll stand and be proud of ourselves at the end of the day,” Noem said during an interview with conservative host Benny Johnson. “They won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe, and they’re so weak, we’ll fix it.”

Noem also confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be deployed at the event.

“We’re going to enforce the law,” she said. “So I think people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless there are law-abiding Americans who love this country.”

The Grammy-winning artist previously canceled his U.S. tour dates this year, citing fears that ICE agents could target Latino attendees. In a September interview with i-D magazine, he said, “There was the issue of — like, f—ing ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”

Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser at the Department of Homeland Security and longtime Trump ally, echoed Noem’s message, warning undocumented immigrants to stay away from the Super Bowl.

“There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,” Lewandowski said on The Benny Show. “Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility, and deport you.”

He also took aim at the NFL’s performer selection. “It’s so shameful they’ve decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime show,” Lewandowski said.

Despite the rhetoric, Bad Bunny addressed the issue during his monologue on SNL last night.

By the way, Bad Bunny is a U.S. citizen. Congress granted American citizenship to Puerto Ricans in 1917 through the Jones Act. Anyone born in Puerto Rico is automatically a U.S. citizen.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt attempted to walk back the idea of a formal ICE operation at the game, saying, “As far as ICE being at the Super Bowl, as far as I’m aware there’s no tangible plan for that in store right now.”

Still, she reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to immigration enforcement.

“This administration is always going to arrest and deport illegal immigrants when we find them if they are criminals.”

The NFL announced Bad Bunny’s halftime show slot in late September, making him the first reggaeton artist to headline the event. Super Bowl LX is set for February 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Lawyers Plan To Appeal Diddy’s Prison Sentence, Blast Judge

Diddy is gearing up for a legal counterstrike after a federal judge sentenced him to more than four years in prison and slapped him with a $500,000 fine for transporting individuals across state lines for sex.

The 55-year-old Hip-Hop mogul was acquitted of the most severe charges, sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have resulted in a life sentence. But his legal team says the conviction itself is flawed and plans to challenge it.

“Both the guidelines calculation and the sentence took account of conduct for which Mr. Combs was acquitted by a jury,” defense attorney Marc Agnifilo told the New York Post. “We contend this amounts to legal error.”

The appeal notice is expected to be filed within days.

Combs has already served about a year behind bars following his 2024 arrest. Since the federal system doesn’t offer parole, he could be released in just over three years.

The conviction came after a high-profile trial in Manhattan, where jurors listened to disturbing testimony from several women who described being coerced into drug-fueled “freak-off” sex parties.

Prosecutors leaned on the Mann Act, a 1910 law that criminalizes transporting people across state lines for illicit sexual activity. Combs’ attorneys argued the encounters were “consensual.”

The legal saga is just one chapter in a long history of allegations involving the Bad Boy Records founder. His criminal record dates back to 1996, when he was convicted of criminal mischief after allegedly threatening a photographer with a firearm.

The current wave of litigation began in 2023 when R&B; singer Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of rape and years of abuse. That case was settled in under 24 hours for $20 million, a move that legal experts say may have encouraged other accusers to come forward.

Since then, nearly 100 civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs across the country, alleging everything from sexual assault to harassment and emotional abuse.

Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. It’s unclear where he will serve the remainder of his sentence, though a transfer to a low-security facility near his Miami home is being considered.

Swedish Rapper Hamko Shot Dead in Costa del Sol Restaurant Attack

Swedish rapper Hamko was fatally shot Friday afternoon while standing outside a restaurant in Puerto Banus, Spain, in what Spanish officials described as a targeted daylight attack that left tourists scrambling for safety and police swiftly arresting a suspect.

The 25-year-old Swedish rapper was smoking and speaking on his phone around 2:30 p.m. when a gunman stepped out from behind a black van and opened fire at close range.

Surveillance footage captured the shooter tossing his own cigarette before pulling a firearm from behind his back and unleashing several rounds as Hamko tried to duck between tables on the terrace.

A witness added that they heard “six or seven shots” from what sounded like “a very powerful weapon.” Diners and pedestrians nearby dropped to the ground or fled in panic as bullets flew.

Emergency responders transported Hamko to Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella, but he died shortly after arriving.

Authorities later apprehended a 38-year-old man, also Swedish and described by local press as being of Afghan descent, near the scene. Police have not released further details about the suspect or motive.

The killing has reignited scrutiny of Sweden’s ongoing battle with organized crime, especially in light of Karimi’s past ties to Einar, Sweden’s most prominent rapper, who was murdered in Stockholm in October 2021.

Hamko and Einar were reportedly childhood friends who grew up in the same Stockholm neighborhood, though they were no longer close at the time of Einar’s death.

Einar, whose real name was Nils Grönberg, was 19 when he was shot and killed in what police also labeled an execution. He had been expected to testify in a criminal case involving his 2020 kidnapping, which implicated rival rapper Yasin Mahamoud.

Yasin was later convicted for helping lure Einar to a studio where he was attacked.

Spanish authorities have not confirmed whether Hamko’s murder is connected to any gang activity, but the Costa del Sol has increasingly become a hotspot for international criminal networks, including those with ties to Sweden.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

Did Future Cut His Dreads to Avoid the Same Fate as Lil Wayne?

Future and follicles. Wow, I never thought my career would have me writing about this guy’s hair. But here we are. The internet’s new obsession is about Future’s hair and why he made the big chop. As you should know, he chopped off those signature dreadlocks that defined his look for years.

But here’s where it gets interesting. I was today years old when I learned about something called traction alopecia. For those not in the know, traction alopecia is a specific type of hair loss caused by constant tension on the hair roots. And it disproportionately affects people with dreadlocks or tightly styled hair like braids. Basically, the tugging on the roots becomings highly problematic.

Word on the digital streets is that Lil Wayne has dealt with this same issue. I recently saw a highlight real of his hair and the struggles. Wayne’s dreads have noticeably thinned over time. He’s not bald, but the stress on those roots has reportedly taken its toll.

Future enters the chat. The Atlanta superstar definitely shocked fans when he cut off his trademark locs. This was a big shift. Trading in his rugged street aesthetic for a more refined, fashion-forward vibe was not in our tarot card deck. When he did it, people had questions. Why abandon an iconic look that helped define your brand? But maybe, just maybe, this move was about more than image.

If you look closely, Future’s transformation seems calculated. And people believe it was deliberate. The man took control of his narrative before his hairline took control of him. And let’s be honest…it’s working. The shorter look fits his evolution from codeine-coated trap rap to global style icon. He’s moving differently now and we see it in real time. He’s all up in fashion houses, boardrooms and even brand campaigns. That wouldn’t have been so possible in the early DS2 days.

Some folks are using this as a subtle jab at Lil Wayne, but that’s a reach to me. Future’s in his own lane entirely. He probably saw what could happen down the road…or down the scalp. Bad joke. Seriously, he made a smart pivot.

It’s a reminder that even in Hip-Hop, evolution is survival. Future reinvented himself before the game could box him in.

Diddy Intern Claims He Was Drugged, Assaulted & Ended Up With HIV

Diddy got slammed with another lawsuit, this time by a former intern who says he was drugged and raped at a wild 2014 after-party thrown by the Hip-Hop heavyweight in Los Angeles – and then found out he had HIV.

The accuser, going by “John Doe,” says he was trying to break into the entertainment biz when he ended up at a house in Val Verde for a music video shoot that rolled into one of Diddy’s infamous after-parties.

According to the lawsuit filed in LA Superior Court, the house had “an abundance of cocaine, marijuana and booze,” but Doe says he stuck to alcohol.

He claims after a couple drinks, he started feeling “off,” blacked out, and woke up in a nightmare. The lawsuit says his next memory was “being anally sodomized by an unknown person” before losing consciousness again.

He doesn’t name Diddy as the attacker, but says it happened under his watch. Doe says he woke up bleeding and went straight to get checked out.

Tests came back clean at first, but months later he learned he’d contracted HIV.

This new legal drama drops while Combs is already locked up and serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted in October 2025 on two felony counts of transporting people for prostitution. He dodged the more serious racketeering and trafficking charges that could’ve landed him behind bars for life.

He got slapped with a $500K fine and will be on supervised release for five years after he gets out.

During sentencing, Judge Arun Subramanian didn’t sugarcoat anything: “This is a serious sentence that reflects the gravity of your crimes and conduct…you abused the power and control with women you professed to love dearly. You abused them physically, emotionally and psychologically.”

Before the judge laid down the sentence, Combs publicly apologized in court.

“I want to personally apologize to Cassie Ventura to any harm I have caused her emotionally or physically,” he said. “I would like to apologize to her family. I am so sorry. I would like to apologize to Jane. I’m sorry. I brought you into my mess.”

He also told the judge, “I’ll never put my hands on another person again. I know that I have learned my lesson.”

Combs has been tangled in legal trouble for months now. He got arrested in September 2024 on federal charges tied to wild, drug-fueled sex parties called “freak-offs.”

That situation blew up after Cassie Ventura filed a civil suit in late 2023, accusing him of years of abuse. She settled fast, but her case opened the floodgates to Diddy’s federal RICO charges.

Since then, hundreds of lawsuits have come out the woodwork, covering everything from sexual assault to trafficking — some even involving minors.

Los Angeles underground hip-hop staple Myka 9, who built a name for himself as a member of Freestyle Fellowship, Haiku d’Etat and Project Blowed, is back with a new collaborative album called God Takes Care of Babies & Fools via Nature Sounds Records.

Created in tandem with Blu and Mono En Stereo, the 14-track project boasts features by several of Myka’s crew members/collaborators, including Abstract Rude, Self Jupiter, Medusa and Ellay Khule. Additional contributions come from The Pharcyde’s Imani, Slimkid3 and Fatlip, A-F-R-O, Exile and Planet Asia, among others.

Blu, who’s long admired Myka’s jazz-influenced, melodic rapping, jumped at the opportunity to work with him.

“This is another very special album that I am proud to present to the world,” Blu tells AllHipHop. “Myka 9 being one of my highest inspirations ever, and the leading king of the Los Angeles underground, I am more than honored for the experience we created. I try to make every one of my albums different from one another and this album was no different.

“It is driven by straight raw lyricism and spiritual rap acrobatics. The organic production providing our museum of sound came from producer Mono En Stereo. The title of the album, God Takes Care Of Babies & Fools, means God looks out for us all, especially those who need him the most, being the babies and fools. And to quote Socrates, ‘To know is to know you know nothing,’ so we are all fools in comparison to the creator.”

Songs like “B-Boys” and “Growing Up In L.A.” transport the listener to Hip-Hop’s golden era and stir up memories of Cali’s Good Life Café scene, where artists like Freestyle Fellowship, Jurassic 5, 2Mex and Aceyalone honed their skills throughout the 1990s.

Myka felt equally as blessed to have the chance to work with Blu and Mono En Stereo. As he tells AllHipHop, “It was truly an honor to work with Blu and Mono En Stereo. The concepts, as well as the production and videos, have been coming together organically. I believe conceptually there’s a dynamic range in material.

“I appreciate the time and patience that we took along with our phenomenal guest features to bring this healing devotional together. It’s also meaningful to note that there’s been a lot going on in life, so it was a tonic to emotionally release some ideas.”

With Myka 9 sticking to his rap ethos, the project is just another demonstration of his otherworldly lyrical skills delivered with a flawless execution. Coupled with Blu and Mono En Stereo’s additions, it bumps from start to finish.

“At times I’ve felt like a baby in this music art world with so many profound predecessors and also foolish in the mistakes I continue to learn from,” he says. “I’d say during the interim that indeed God takes care of babies and fools. It’s all love.”

Ras Kass Delivers Powerful Jackie Robinson Tribute With Smif-N-Wessun On First Ever Collab

Ras Kass brought the West Coast to Brooklyn’s doorstep with the release of “42,” a hard-hitting collaboration with Smif-N-Wessun that pays homage to Jackie Robinson and marks their first official track together.

The song, produced by Amadeus360 and released on October 3 on all streaming platforms via HillTop Ave/Soulspazm, is a tribute to the number Robinson wore as a Brooklyn Dodger. The symbolism runs deeper than baseball.

It represents unity between coasts and a shared legacy in Hip-Hop.

The track’s title, “42,” is more than a nod to the Hall of Famer. It’s a statement.

Ras Kass and Smif-N-Wessun use the number to fuse Los Angeles and Brooklyn energy into one blunt-force anthem. The Mo Stafford-directed video, shot in Brooklyn, captures the record with street visuals and no gloss.

“When I first went into this collaboration with Smif-N-Wessun, I initially wanted to recreate ‘Sound Bwoy Bureill,’” Ras Kass said. “That didn’t happen. Instead, Amadeus360 played a few beats, and one stood out. We liked a couple, but the beat for ‘42’ is the instrumental that Tek & Steele really gravitated towards,” Ras Kass explained.

The session took place in New York, and the hook was handled by an artist named Fresh. Although the artists had previously crossed paths and shared studio time, this marked their first official joint track.

“We’ve all hung out and been in the studio together before, but we had never done a song together until now, so this was one for the bucket list,” Ras Kass said.

The video was filmed at Sweet Science, a Jamaican fusion restaurant in Williamsburg. The location, owned by a mutual friend, provided the perfect backdrop.

“So we basically shot the whole music video at this location. I wore my LA 42 Dodger hat and it came out really dope,” he added.

“42” will appear on Ras Kass’ upcoming album, scheduled for release in 2026.

Suge Knight Comments On Diddy Sentencing: “Was Waiting For Him To Shake That Ass”

Suge Knight wasted no time unloading on Diddy following the mogul’s 50-month prison sentence, mocking the courtroom theatrics and accusing him of having federal protection.

“I mean, that’s the first time in history that a person going to get sentenced and they can actually put on a campaign like they running for the president of the United States where they can show videos and pretty much everything,” Suge Knight said in a recent YouTube interview with The Art of Dialogue. “Only thing I was waiting on was the fact that I was waiting on him to bring out the DJ and start playing music and let him do what he do best. Dance and shake that ass and end up with no time.”

Knight, who’s currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter, didn’t hold back when comparing his own courtroom experience to Diddy’s.

“I wasn’t allowed to speak. I wasn’t allowed to do nothing,” he said, pointing out the stark contrast in how the court handled their respective cases.

Diddy was sentenced to four years and two months in prison after being convicted of transporting individuals for prostitution. He was acquitted on more severe charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

During his sentencing in New York, Judge Arun Subramanian told Combs, “You abused them, physically, emotionally and psychologically,” referring to his ex-partners, Cassie Ventura and a woman identified as Jane.

Knight, however, believes Diddy’s sentence was far too lenient.

“Like I said before, Puffy has strong ties with the government with the feds and anybody else would have been cooked, done,” he said.

Suge Knight went further, calling Diddy’s sentence “probably one of the best deals for decades and decades and decades” and even dubbed it “the deal of the centuries.”

Knight is currently incarcerated for a 2015 hit-and-run that left businessman Terry Carter dead. He pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and avoided more serious charges through a plea deal.

U.K. Rapper Skepta Charged With “Drug-Driving” As He Bemoans Fame

Skepta appeared in a U.K. courtroom Friday (October 3) to face charges of drug-driving and speeding after authorities say he was found with cannabis in his system and driving over the limit in two separate incidents.

The 43-year-old rapper is accused of operating a Mercedes-Maybach while under the influence of tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive compound in marijuana, during a traffic stop on May 14, 2023, in High Wycombe, north of London. In a separate incident, prosecutors say he was clocked doing 37 mph in a 30 mph zone while driving a £400,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom on November 20, 2023.

In addition to the drug and speeding charges, Skepta is also being prosecuted for allegedly failing to provide Thames Valley Police with information about the driver of the Rolls-Royce.

The Boy Better Know co-founder appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on October 3 wearing a white T-shirt and light blue trousers. He confirmed his name, address and date of birth before the judge postponed the case due to what was described as a “lack of court time.”

Skepta has denied all charges.

The Mercury Prize-winning artist has long been a prominent figure in British Hip-Hop, rising to fame with his 2007 debut and later branching into fashion, modeling and film. Despite his success, Skepta has expressed discomfort with his celebrity status.

In a recent interview with Dazed, he said, “I don’t care about fame. Really. I care about art. I care about making the best song. I care about people selecting my poetry as theirs. I hate being famous.”

He added, “I just feel like, whatever fame has brought me is what I’ve always had already, you know what I mean? The eyes, the judgment – I’ve always had that. In the early days it helped to toughen me up and prepare me for now. But I don’t need it any more.”

Skepta comes from a well-known creative family. His brother JME, born Jamie Adenuga, is also a rapper and part of the Boy Better Know collective. Their sister Julie Adenuga is a respected broadcaster and radio personality.

The trial is scheduled to resume sometime in 2025.
