LeBron James Reveals His “Second Decision” & Seriously Enrages Fans

Basketball fans across the nation felt deceived Tuesday (October 7) after LeBron James revealed his highly anticipated “Second Decision” was nothing more than a Hennessy advertisement.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar had teased the announcement on Monday on social media. _He used language that echoed his famous 2010 “Decision” broadcast. Fans immediately began speculating about retirement or a major career move.

“The decision of all decisions” turned out to be a partnership with the luxury cognac brand. The ad promotes a new limited edition Hennessy VSOP by LeBron James.

Fans reacted with anger and disappointment across social media platforms. Many felt misled by the marketing campaign that played on one of the most controversial moments in NBA history.

“A grown ah 40 year old man baiting for attention just for an ad,” one user fumed. Another said: “S##t like this is why Jordan is better than yo a##.”

Ticket prices for Lakers games skyrocketed in anticipation of the announcement. According to ESPN, single tickets jumped from about $82 to $580 on Vivid Seats after James posted his cryptic message.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to be able to play the game that I love for another season,” James said at NBA media days last week. “However the journey lays out this year, I’m super-invested because I don’t know when the end is.”

The 40-year-old James is the NBA’s oldest active player. He is set to appear in his 23rd season, which would be a league record.

The “Second Decision” reference deliberately called back to James’ 2010 ESPN special. In that broadcast, he announced that he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat. The move shocked the basketball world and angered Cleveland fans.

James won two championships with the Miami Heat before returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. He delivered the city’s first major sports title in 52 years when the Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA championship.

The Hennessy campaign transforms that iconic narrative into what the company calls “a cultural moment.” However, many fans saw it as an exploitation of their emotional investment in James’ career decisions.

Social media users expressed frustration with the marketing stunt. Some called it tone-deaf, given the genuine concern about James’ future in basketball.

James has not announced any plans for retirement. He continues to play at an elite level despite his age. The Lakers begin their season this month with James and his son, Bronny, both on the roster.

From Hookah Lounges to Headlines: How This Black-Owned Vape Brand Is Shifting the Culture

In a world where smoking rituals have long been intertwined with social status, personal style, and cultural expression, a new wave is taking shape, and it doesn’t come with the cloud of nicotine. At the intersection of clean living, hip-hop culture, and Black entrepreneurship sits Blakk Smoke, a brand that isn’t just offering another disposable vape pen. It’s offering a movement, one that fuses cultural pride with smart consumer choices and a serious upgrade in how we vibe socially.

The Evolution of Hookah Culture

For decades, hookah lounges have been the go-to vibe. A place where beats collide with smoke clouds, and conversations stretch into the early hours of the morning. But traditional hookah setups, though iconic, come with a fair share of baggage from bulky gear to the presence of nicotine and tobacco.

For Blakk Smoke, the brand positions itself not as a typical vape company, but as the modern evolution of the hookah experience. Think of it as your favorite hookah lounge distilled into a sleek, pocket-sized pen. No coals. No wires. No nicotine. No tobacco. Just pure fruit-based flavor and massive clouds that maintain the ritual without the risk. It delivers everything people love about smoking – the community, the vibe, the flavor – minus the toxins.

Made for the Culture, By the Culture

Blakk Smoke isn’t shy about its roots. It’s unapologetically Black-owned, and that ownership isn’t just a label,  it’s a mission. In an industry long dominated by major tobacco corporations, this brand is redefining the narrative. It stands at the forefront of a cultural shift, merging luxury aesthetics with health-forward values, all while keeping the community front and center.

Their mission? “Everyday luxury is made accessible – for the culture.” And it’s catching fire in all the right places. This is about more than creating a product. It’s about reclaiming ownership over how we engage with smoking culture, providing a healthier alternative that doesn’t compromise on style or experience.

The Star of the Show: Watermelon Mint Hookah Vape Pen

At the heart of Blakk Smoke’s lineup is the Watermelon Mint Hookah Vape Pen. A quick scroll through blakksmoke.com reveals a product crafted with intentionality and style. It’s pre-filled, breath-activated, and completely disposable. That means no chargers, no buttons, no hassle. Just open, inhale, and let the smoothness speak for itself.

Reviewers are consistently impressed by the pen’s balance. One fan called it, “smooth vaping, no burning or coughing”, while another praised its “refreshing and smooth” taste, calling it “perfect for summer.” The watermelon flavor is authentic, not cloyingly sweet, and the mint finish gives it a cool, refreshing edge that keeps the experience light and crisp. This isn’t your typical artificial vape juice – it’s a thoughtfully crafted, fruit-based flavor experience.

More than just taste, the pen delivers in performance. With 2022 puffs per device, it’s built for longevity. And let’s talk clouds – massive. It hits like a dream, producing thick plumes that add to the vibe without harshness. If you’re in a studio session or posted at the rooftop lounge, the visual impact is undeniable. Those LED lights add a bonus touch, signaling that this pen is as much about performance as it is about presentation.

No Nicotine. No Tobacco. All Vibe.

In the age of wellness and self-awareness, the idea of “smart smoking” is on the rise. We’re seeing a wave of artists, creatives, and influencers opting out of addictive substances without sacrificing the ritual of smoking. Blakk Smoke hits that sweet spot.

By eliminating nicotine and tobacco, they’re giving people the option to flex without compromise. It’s what the brand calls “luxury without the lungs.” And in a genre where image matters and personal health is becoming increasingly prioritized, this matters. The new generation of smokers wants more than a buzz – they want a conscious choice that fits their lifestyle.

Cultural Credibility

It’s no secret that hip-hop has always been a tastemaker. What catches on in this culture usually echoes through the mainstream shortly after. And Blakk Smoke? It’s already making waves. From green rooms to music video sets, the sleek pens have become more than just a vibe enhancer, they’re a statement.

Think of it as the smoke-free flex. A pocket-sized accessory that says you care about what you put in your body, without giving up the ritual or the aesthetic. It’s luxury redefined, rooted in identity and elevated by design. It’s the kind of item you expect to see on the table during an interview, on a studio desk, or in the hands of someone who’s setting trends, not following them.

Built for the Backstage Life

There’s a reason why artists and producers are drawn to Blakk Smoke. In an industry where the hustle never stops and downtime is sacred, a product that delivers quick, clean relaxation matters. There’s no setup, no ash, and no unwanted smell. Just smooth pulls, thick clouds, and a flavor profile that complements the moment.

If it’s during a studio lock-in, a listening session, or a 3 a.m. writing binge, the Watermelon Mint Hookah Vape Pen fits in seamlessly. It’s discreet but powerful, and most importantly, it’s not another addiction masked as lifestyle. It’s a vibe amplifier that slides right into the rhythm of the creative grind.

The Power of Community Proof

With over 1 million customers and a #1 rating on Google, Blakk Smoke isn’t just coasting on good branding. The numbers speak volumes. People aren’t just buying into a product; they’re buying into a philosophy. One that values clean smoking, cultural ownership, and accessible luxury.

In a world flooded with disposable vapes that all blend into the same category, Blakk Smoke stands out by refusing to play by the rules. No nicotine. No tobacco. Just pure flavor, high-end design, and real community roots. This is a brand that has built its success on word-of-mouth, repeat customers, and cultural resonance , not flashy gimmicks.

Why It Matters

This is more than just a product review. It’s a reflection of a larger cultural movement. Blakk Smoke is shifting how we think about smoking. It’s taking a practice often associated with dependency and repackaging it as a conscious choice, one that prioritizes health, aesthetics, and self-expression.

In the Hip-Hop world, where every choice is a part of the brand, from the kicks to the cologne, Blakk Smoke is emerging as the go-to clean-living flex. It’s not just what you’re smoking; it’s what you’re saying when you smoke it. And what it says is: I care about my body, my image, and my community. I want the vibe without the cost.

Final Thoughts

From the flavor profile to the brand mission, Blakk Smoke isn’t just keeping up with the culture – it’s setting the pace. The Watermelon Mint Hookah Vape Pen is more than a stylish accessory; it’s a statement about where we’re headed as a community.

We’re seeing the future of smoking unfold right now: one that’s healthier, cooler, and unapologetically ours. And at the forefront of that future is Blakk Smoke – shifting the culture, one puff at a time.

Rolling Ray’s Cause Of Death Confirmed, Family Shares Update

The cause of Rolling Ray’s death has been revealed, ending weeks of speculation about the 28-year-old digital personality’s passing.

According to The Washington Post, relatives of Rolling Ray revealed he died from natural causes in Maryland on September 3.

Ray rose to internet fame in 2018 after appearing on MTV’s “Catfish: Trolls.” His sharp wit and unfiltered commentary quickly made him a viral figure, especially after a memorable appearance on “Divorce Court” with Judge Lynn Toler.

He also coined the viral catchphrase “purr,” which became a staple in online slang.

Diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy as a toddler, Rolling Ray began using a wheelchair around age 10. Despite his health struggles, he maintained a strong social media presence and remained active in entertainment.

By mid-2024, Ray revealed via social media that his health had declined significantly in May and June.

Rolling Ray appeared on multiple Zeus Network shows, including “Bobby I Love You Purrr” and “The Conversation.”

Diddy Begs Judge To Send Him To Rehab-Focused Prison Fort Dix

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to serve his time at a low-security federal prison in New Jersey, where he can access drug treatment and stay closer to family as he begins a four-year sentence tied to prostitution-related convictions.

The Hip-Hop mogul’s legal team filed a motion Monday (October 6) asking U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian to “strongly recommend” that the Bureau of Prisons assign him to FCI Fort Dix, a sprawling facility located about 70 miles south of New York City.

The request came just days after Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars for violating the federal Mann Act, which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activity.

Attorney Teny Geragos argued in court documents that Fort Dix would best support Diddy’s rehabilitation goals. The prison offers substance abuse programs, vocational training and more accessible family visitation. Geragos wrote the facility would allow Diddy “to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts.”

The 55-year-old music executive has been detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his September 2024 arrest.

That time will count toward his sentence, making him eligible for release in roughly three years.

According to NBC News, FCI Fort Dix is the largest single federal prison in the country, housing nearly 3,900 inmates. The facility has previously held high-profile figures, including Martin Shkreli and several organized crime figures.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal troubles are far from over. He remains the subject of multiple civil lawsuits, including one filed by a former stylist who accused him of sexual, physical and emotional abuse over the course of a decade. His attorneys have dismissed those claims as “falsehoods.”

Former President Donald Trump recently told reporters that Diddy had requested a pardon. However, Trump did not say whether he would consider granting it.

Queens Rapper YP DA YG Fatally Shot By Nephew In Murder-Suicide

Queens rapper YP DA YG was shot and killed in a Jamaica, Queens home during a late-night family argument that ended in a murder-suicide tied to a real estate dispute.

The 37-year-old rapper, born Prince McFarlane, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head inside a residence on 116th Road near 155th Street just before midnight on Friday, October 3, according to the NYPD.

McFarlane’s 41-year-old nephew reportedly turned the gun on himself after the fatal shooting. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital but died from his injuries. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Relatives told the New York Daily News the deadly encounter stemmed from an argument over the sale of the family’s home, which had recently been put on the market for approximately $600,000.

The uncle, who wished to remain anonymous, said the shooter may have stayed in the home on 116th Road near 155th Street with his deceased cousin’s body for several hours before taking his own life in an upstairs hallway. The uncle, who lives in the basement, discovered the younger man’s body around 11:45 P.M. on Friday.

McFarlane had built a name in the local Queens trap music circuit under the moniker YP DA YG.

His presence on social media included photos alongside 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj and other New York rappers, and tributes poured in after news of his death spread.

Pooh Shiesty Released Early From Prison After Serving Three Years

Pooh Shiesty stepped back into the spotlight this week after being released early from federal prison, cutting short a five-year sentence tied to a 2020 shooting in Florida.

The 24-year-old Memphis rapper walked free after serving roughly three years of a 63-month sentence for conspiracy to possess firearms in connection with violent and drug-related crimes.

His original release date was scheduled for April 2026, but his early exit has sparked buzz across social media, especially after videos surfaced of him celebrating at a welcome-home party on Monday night (October 6).

Clips from the event show Pooh Shiesty surrounded by friends and posing for photos in front of a “welcome home” sign.

He’s also seen flashing stacks of cash alongside fellow Memphis rappers Big30 and K Carbon, who shared the moment on Instagram. The trio appeared to be filming a music video, hinting that new material could be on the way.

Pooh Shiesty’s attorney Bradford Cohen addressed his release on Instagram Tuesday morning (October 7).

“@poohshiesty is ready….wait until you see hus comeback. He will be bigger than ever. I am always glad to see a client start the climb back up to elite status. Although the U.S. Bureau of Prisons hasn’t confirmed the details of his release, reports suggest the rapper may now be living in a halfway house.

Pooh Shiesty Avoids Life Sentence

The case that landed Shiesty behind bars stemmed from an October 2020 incident at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Prosecutors said Shiesty and two others arranged a meeting to buy marijuana and designer sneakers, but the deal turned violent.

One man was shot in the buttocks, and Shiesty was later charged with multiple felonies, including armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Initially released on bond, Shiesty was later taken into federal custody. In January 2022, he pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. The plea deal helped him avoid a potential life sentence, and three other charges were dropped.

Shiesty, a Gucci Mane protégé signed to 1017 Records, rose to fame with his 2020 track “Back in Blood” featuring Lil Durk.

His legal troubles put a pause on his rising career, but with his release, speculation is already growing about a return to music.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & Crew Caught In Violent Club Brawl In Japan

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie found himself in the middle of a wild nightclub brawl in Tokyo over the weekend, as his entourage clashed with another group during the Magic City Takeover at Zouk Japan.

Footage circulating online appears to show the 29-year-old Bronx rapper and his crew caught in a violent altercation at the club on Friday (October 3). Several individuals can be seen stomping on a man on the ground amid the chaos.

Video obtained by TMZ shows the aftermath of the melee—furniture flipped, cash scattered, and partygoers scrambling to escape the chaos.

Witnesses say A Boogie was seen on a platform during the incident, appearing to look for something to hurl into the crowd.

According to individuals present at the club, confusion surrounded which crew actually initiated the fight.

However, staff at Zouk Japan reportedly suggested A Boogie’s team was the main aggressor. Despite the scale of the disturbance, no arrests had been made as of Monday (October 6).

The rapper was in Japan to perform at the Force Festival, a major Hip-Hop event featuring artists like Future, Central Cee, Metro Boomin, Trippie Redd, Sexyy Red, Latto, and Polo G.

Early speculation suggested a possible clash with Future’s entourage, but sources later confirmed that his team was not involved.

This isn’t the first time A Boogie has found himself in the middle of a chaotic scene abroad.

In April 2024, the rapper was involved in a confrontation outside a Paris nightclub after he and his entourage were denied entry.

The situation escalated when a bouncer grabbed a pole and another allegedly used pepper spray, sparking a physical clash between both sides. A visibly frustrated A Boogie then broke a bottle and reportedly brandished it before the video abruptly ended.

Cardi B May Have Paid Offset Out In Rumored Divorce Settlement

Ayo…

Cardi B and Offset’s situation just took a chaotic twist. Word is Cardi has agreed to shell out millions in spousal support to Offset to finalize their divorce! On top of that, the streets are saying the asset split is 70/30 in his favor. Hmmmm…interesting. Offset might be walking away with the lion’s share of the bag, but let us walk down this road a bit more.

READ ONLY: Eminem Dragged Into False Nicki Minaj & Cardi B Rumor Online

Now, Offset reportedly maintains Cardi left him. And even got pregnant by another man while they were still legally married. She says he stopped being a dad to their kids. This feels like a full-blown soap opera.

Fans have noticed the tension for months, but this latest twist sounds like a Tyler Perry movie. Before I continue, this is just talk in the streets. I do not see any full blown, clear reports yet. I am sure they are reading this now and verifying it. Nevertheless, Cardi’s been outside, smiling, performing and flexing her independence. That belly has not stopped anything. Offset’s been slightly lowkey, but he might turn up after this. He might walk away from a divorce richer than he went in and that is a mighty feat!

This one hits different, because Cardi asked “Am I The Drama?” Now, I believe we have the answer. The chatter online is relentless! I hope she is taking care of herself and the bun in her oven.

Stay locked in, because if Offset or if Cardi starts talking about this, we’ll all be tuned in, baby.

EXCLUSIVE: T.D. Jakes Gets Win, Judge Sanctions Tyrone Blackburn For AI Generated Mess In Lawsuit

T.D. Jakes scored a courtroom victory in Texas as a federal judge sanctioned attorney Tyrone Blackburn for submitting legal documents riddled with bogus citations generated by artificial intelligence.

The case stemmed from a defamation lawsuit filed by Jakes against Duane Youngblood, who had accused the bishop of sexual misconduct in the 1980s.

Jakes denied all allegations and claimed Youngblood attempted to extort him for $6 million before going public.

Blackburn, representing Youngblood, filed court briefs that included fabricated legal references and misquoted prior rulings. The judge found the errors egregious and deliberate.

“Blackburn doubled-down. His reply brief contained the same problems as his initial brief. Rather than take responsibility for his misconduct, apologize, and voluntarily withdraw his brief, Blackburn pointed the finger at Plaintiff’s counsel, wrongly accusing them of doing exactly what he did twice—using AI to craft an inaccurate brief,” the court wrote.

Blackburn acknowledged using generative AI to draft the filings and apologized, blaming his unfamiliarity with the technology. But the court wasn’t buying it.

“The Court holds that Blackburn engaged in sanctionable conduct. At best, he knowingly and repeatedly submitted legal documents that he neither prepared nor reviewed to ensure their accuracy… It is inexcusable to skirt this duty by relying on AI to draft a brief. Blackburn did so and, when accused, did so again.”

Jakes’ legal team requested over $76,000 in attorneys’ fees, but the judge instead imposed a $5,000 fine on Blackburn, citing deterrence as the goal.

Blackburn must pay the fine in monthly installments. The court also revoked his pro hac vice status, barring him from practicing in the district.

Any future request to appear in court must include a copy of the sanction order.

This isn’t Blackburn’s only legal headache. In a separate federal case, Fat Joe is being sued for $20 million by his former hypeman, Terrance Dixon, who accuses the rapper of underpayment and coercing him into “thousands of sex acts.”

Fat Joe’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, blasted Blackburn for filing “bogus” pleadings in that case as well, citing the same AI-generated citation issues.

Tacopina called Blackburn’s conduct part of a broader trend of “flagrant disregard of his duties,” referencing both the Jakes and Fat Joe lawsuits.

As for Blackburn, he recently told a judge that Fat Joe’s lawyer’s blistering attacks have caused him severe distress that required hospitalization.

Remy Network isn’t just another streaming service; it’s a home for creativity and collaboration,” said Remy Ma. “This network is about giving our community a stage to tell our stories our way and making sure those stories are seen and valued.”

The Remy Network will feature a mix of original scripted series, documentaries, reality shows, concerts, music specials, sports programming and financial content—all centered around the culture and influence of Hip-Hop.

To handle the technical side, Remy Ma has partnered with OTTera, a company that specializes in global OTT and FAST channel solutions. OTTera will manage the distribution and monetization of the platform, ensuring it reaches audiences across various devices and services.

OTTera x Remy Network

Remy Ma built her television experience across reality, hosting, and scripted roles. She reemerged on Love & Hip Hop: New York in 2015, sharing her life and creative comeback with viewers, then starred in Remy & Papoose: Meet the Mackies, which highlighted her family dynamic.

She later hosted VH1’s My True Crime Story, bringing her voice to tales of resilience and redemption, and appeared in scripted projects like Queens and The Perfect Find. Those experiences positioned her to lead her own platform with a clear understanding of storytelling and production.

Remy Network represents a natural evolution from Remy Ma’s earlier venture into entertainment entrepreneurship.

In 2021, she launched Chrome 23, a women’s-only battle rap league. The name stands for “Chromosome 23” – the pair of chromosomes that determines biological sex.

The battle rap league has featured prominent female battlers, including Ms. Hustle, 40 B.A.R.R.S., and Jaz the Rapper. Chrome 23 events have drawn significant viewership on platforms like YouTube, with some battles reaching over 100,000 views.

Both Chrome 23 and Remy Network reflect the artist’s commitment to creating platforms for underrepresented voices in the entertainment industry. The streaming service launch positions her as a big-time player in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.

The November 28 debut will test whether Remy Ma’s vision for culturally authentic programming can capture audiences in an increasingly crowded streaming market.

Remy Network is scheduled to go live on November 28, aligning its launch with a major U.S. holiday to maximize visibility.

LeBron James “The Second Decision” Post Has Laker Fans Terrified – Here’s Why

LeBron James dropped a cryptic teaser Monday that has the sports world buzzing, hinting at a major announcement titled “The Second Decision” and reigniting speculation about his NBA future.

The 40-year-old Los Angeles Lakers forward posted a short video on social media showing him seated across from another man on a basketball court.

The caption read: “The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST.”

Now approaching his 41st birthday in December, James remains one of the league’s most dominant figures. But with his 23rd season about to begin, questions around his retirement are growing louder.

The timing of this announcement—just before the Lakers tip off their new campaign—has many wondering if James is preparing to walk away from the game.

Still, not everyone is convinced this is a farewell. James has built a billion-dollar business portfolio, including ventures in film, television and sports ownership. Some believe the announcement could be tied to a marketing effort or brand expansion rather than a career-ending revelation.

The post instantly drew comparisons to his 2010 ESPN special “The Decision”, where James revealed he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat. That moment triggered widespread backlash, especially in Cleveland and changed the tone of NBA free agency forever.

Then-Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert labeled it a “cowardly betrayal,” and angry fans burned his jersey in protest. James would go on to win two titles in Miami before returning to Cleveland in 2014.

Off the court, James continues to break barriers. In April, he became the first male pro athlete to be turned into a Ken doll by Mattel. Last year, he and his son Bronny made history as the first father-son duo to share an NBA court after Bronny joined the Lakers.

Since being drafted No. 1 overall by Cleveland in 2003, James has won four championships and rewritten the league’s record books. His career has spanned three franchises—Cleveland, Miami and Los Angeles—with each move sparking intense media coverage.

Online reactions to Monday’s teaser have ranged from emotional farewells to speculation about a new business venture. The buzz reflects James’ rare status as both a basketball icon and a global brand.

The announcement is set for Tuesday at 5 p.m. GMT and will likely draw massive attention, whatever the message may be.

Arby’s Launches Steak Nuggets & Pusha-T Is Sure To Make Money Off The Ad Campaign

Arby’s is living up to its famous slogan in a way that would make Pusha-T proud.

The Atlanta-based fast-food chain launched its innovative Steak Nuggets nationwide on October 6, 2025, marking what the company calls an “entirely new way to nugget.”

The limited-time offering features tender, juicy, hand-cut, bite-sized morsels of steak, seasoned with garlic and pepper for a bold, smoky flavor, according to the product announcement. These aren’t your typical chicken nuggets – they’re seared, smoked steak pieces designed for convenience and portability.

“Who doesn’t love tender and savory steak? But, until now, it’s been inconvenient to eat, particularly on the go,” said Jeff Baker, Chief Marketing Officer at Arby’s. “That’s why we created this new innovative product. Two of America’s favorite foods—nuggets and steak—combined to create Arby’s Steak Nuggets. No knife needed, fork optional.”

Interestingly, Arby’s “We Have the Meats” campaign has a Hip-Hop connection. Rapper Pusha-T, who co-wrote McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle in 2003, has been earning royalties from Arby’s commercials since 2018.

The campaign uses Yogi and Skrillex’s 2014 EDM hit “Burial” featuring Pusha-T and despite his voice not appearing in the ads, he owns 40 percent of the track and gets paid every time it airs.

This isn’t Arby’s first test of the steak nuggets concept. The chain introduced the item in select markets earlier this year, including three Southern cities, before the nationwide rollout.

Donald Trump Reveals Diddy Has Already Asked For Pardon Following Federal Sentencing

Diddy became the subject of unexpected political chatter this week when Donald Trump revealed the rap mogul personally asked him for a pardon following his recent conviction on federal sex trafficking charges.

Speaking to reporters on Monday (October 6), Trump was asked whether he would consider pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein. Trump replied, “I’d have to take a look at it,” before pivoting to a broader discussion about pardon requests.

“I have had a lot of people ask me for pardons,” Trump said. “I call him Puff Daddy, he has asked me for a pardon.”

The revelation came just days after Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison. On Friday (October 3), a judge handed down the sentence after Combs was found guilty of two counts of violating the Mann Act, a federal law that prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activity.

According to court documents and testimony, the case centered on what prosecutors described as Diddy’s orchestration of multi-day sex parties, known in his inner circle as “freak offs.” These events allegedly involved women and male escorts whom Combs paid, directed and often filmed during the encounters.

Prosecutors argued that Diddy used his wealth and influence to manipulate participants, many of whom were reportedly in vulnerable positions. The Department of Justice said the evidence included video recordings, financial transactions and testimony from multiple witnesses who described a pattern of coercion and exploitation.

The trial, which lasted three weeks in federal court, featured graphic details and drew significant media attention. Diddy’s defense team claimed the encounters were consensual and denied any criminal wrongdoing. However, the jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict on both counts.

During sentencing, Judge Arun Subramanian said the case was “not about consensual adult behavior” but about “systematic abuse of power and violation of federal law.” He added that Diddy celebrity status “does not place him above accountability.”

The 55-year-old music mogul, entrepreneur and Bad Boy Records founder has not publicly commented on the sentencing or the pardon request. His legal team is expected to file an appeal in the coming weeks.

Trump’s comments add a political twist to an already high-profile legal case. While he did not indicate whether he would grant Combs a pardon if reelected, the former president’s remarks have reignited debate over the use of presidential clemency for celebrities and public figures.

Diddy began serving his sentence immediately following the October 3 hearing.

EXCLUSIVE: Lil Durk Says Feds Are Withholding Info; Tries To Get Murder Case Dismissed

Lil Durk is pushing to have his federal murder-for-hire case tossed, claiming prosecutors are hiding key facts that would allow him to mount a fair defense in court.

The Chicago-born rapper is accused of orchestrating a plot to kill a man identified as Quando Rondo, in retaliation for the 2020 killing of his close friend King Von.

Prosecutors allege Durk used coded messages and promised cash or music deals through his Only The Family (OTF) collective to incentivize the hit.

Federal authorities say Durk directed his crew to fly from Chicago to Los Angeles in August 2022 to kill Quando Rondo, who managed to escape the broad daylight shooting at a gas station.

Quando Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, was shot dead during the violent altercation.

Prosecutors claim Durk arranged for vehicles, weapons and ski masks to carry out the ambush. Durk’s legal team—Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, Jonathan Brayman and Christy O’Connor—argues the indictment is vague and lacks the specifics needed to prepare for trial.

“While the Indictment alleges that the co-conspirators carried out various acts ‘at the direction of’ Mr. Banks—flying to Los Angeles; tracking, stalking, and attempting to kill [Quando Rondo] by gunfire; and procuring the firearms and equipment used to do so—it fails to give any specifics. When, where, how, and to whom did Mr. Banks give these alleged directions? To ensure the basic fairness of this trial, the defense is entitled to know,” Findling said.

The indictment accuses Durk of setting a bounty and offering “lucrative music opportunities” to anyone who carried out the killing. Defense attorneys say the government has not identified who received the messages, what the alleged code words were, or when and where any offers were made.

They argue that the lack of detail violates Durk’s constitutional rights and could lead to a conviction based on unclear or shifting allegations.

“What the Indictment fails to tell us are the very things the defense is entitled to know: the ‘operative facts’ underlying the government’s theories of Mr. Banks’ guilt. There is no allegation here that Mr. Banks physically participated in the stalking and shooting at issue,” Findling added.

The defense has filed a motion to dismiss the charges or, at the very least, compel prosecutors to provide a detailed bill of particulars.

Durk remains in federal custody after his October 17, 2024, arrest near Miami International Airport.

A hearing on the motion is scheduled for 10 A.M. on November 18, 2025, before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald in Los Angeles.

Lazarus and Rakim’s “Not to Be Defined” Lands Grammy Consideration for Best Rap Song

October 2025, Hip-hop history is being written as “Not to Be Defined” by Detroit-based physician-rapper Lazarus featuring the legendary Rakim officially enters Grammy consideration for Best Rap Song.

The collaboration has already struck a chord with audiences worldwide, amassing nearly 10 million views on YouTube since its release and drawing unanimous praise from critics and fans alike. The record has been hailed as a lyrical masterclass, seamlessly bridging eras of hip-hop while remaining deeply relevant in today’s rap landscape.

At the core of the track lies Lazarus’ relentless pen and Rakim’s timeless delivery a combination that has left listeners describing it as “a song that will outlast its time.” Behind the boards is Grammy-winning super-producer Dem Jointz, known for shaping iconic records with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg. His crisp, cinematic production provides the perfect foundation for Lazarus and Rakim’s verbal fireworks.

“Hip-hop has always been about truth, skill, and evolution,” said Lazarus. “To stand alongside Rakim, the God MC himself, on a track that’s being recognized at the Grammys is beyond anything I imagined when I first picked up a mic.”

For Rakim, the recognition is especially historic. Despite being revered as one of the greatest rappers of all time, this consideration marks a rare moment in his career potentially his first-ever Grammy nomination. “It’s a blessing to see the culture still growing and to be part of a record that represents that growth,” Rakim shared.

Music critics have echoed the sentiment. One review called the track “an undeniable contender for Best Rap Song not just for its bars, but for its cultural weight.”

As awards season approaches, “Not to Be Defined” continues to prove its title true, a song beyond labels, beyond eras, and beyond definition.

Oddisee Ran Half Marathon—Then Performed Full Set At 5,280 Feet Same Day

There’s in shape and then there’s in shape. DMV MC/producer Oddisee demonstrated the importance of cardiovascular fitness on Sunday night (October 5) at Cervantes Masterpiece Theater in Denver, where he performed a full set in the infamously high Colorado capital (and no, not that kind of high).

Denver sits at 5,280 feet above sea level—one mile to be exact—hence the nickname “The Mile High City.” He sailed through his set with barely a mention of the altitude, which typically leaves rappers unaccustomed to performing at that height breathless. But, as Oddisee noted onstage, he was “feeling great.”

In the same sentence, he also revealed he’d run a half-marathon earlier that morning (that’s 13.1 miles) in the nearby city of Arvada, which is even higher at 5,453 feet above sea level. Needless to say, it was an impressive feat and apparently something Oddisee has been doing for awhile. Videos on his Instagram page show him running through the streets of various cities while on tour—Arvada included.

Oddisee is currently on the At It Again Tour with his three-piece band in celebration of The Good Fight‘s 10-year anniversary. Following Denver, they’ll hit Seattle, Portand and Vancouver before heading back down the West Coast to San Francisco, L.A. and San Diego. The North American leg wraps up November 2i n Brooklyn and then they’ll head overseas to Asia.

Oddisee’s latest album, Odd Sketches Vol. 1, arrived last year. Prior to that, he released To What End in 2023 with guests like Phonte Coleman, Freeway and Bilal. Of course, he performed several cuts off The Good Fight, which he released in 2015 via Mello Music Group, including “Book Covers” and “Belong to the World.”

Oddisee is among a growing number of artists 40 and above who are prioritizing fitness and health. Instead of partying into the wee hours of the morning, they’re getting rest, staying hydrated and eating better.

Just last week, Philly Hip-Hop legend Bahamadia was in Denver for a show, drinking water and eating fruit before she hit the stage. As she murdered the mic, there was no indication she was struggling with breath control at all. After her set, no she didn’t go out and party, she went back to the hotel and rested up for her early morning flight.

Rappers are running, too. Murs, who named his last tour The Last Run, hits the pavement regularly. Diplo ran the 2023 Los Angeles Marathon, Lil Nas X completed the NYC Half Marathon in 2024 and Eminem used running as part of his recovery.

Oddisee is another prime example of what’s possible with balance. Don’t be surprised to see another Instagram video of him running in a city near you. Find his full tour dates below.

Hips Rocc and the Rise of Savvy Sav: From Crenshaw and Slauson to the Main Stage

Savvy Sav is making noise again this time with the drop of “Hips Rocc,” a fresh visual collaboration with longtime Crenshaw collaborator SKG. Directed by Romeo Visuals and Helecia Choyce, the video tells more than just a story of a track; it reflects a movement.

Set against the backdrop of a lively club scene, “Hips Rocc” pulses with energy, unity, and confidence. It’s more than a party anthem, it’s a statement from two artists who know the streets they represent. Savvy’s story began in Houston as a child, but it was Crenshaw that shaped his grind as a teenager. He started from the pavement, selling CDs by hand, growing a fanbase with nothing but hustle and heart. That independent grind now fuels his success as an artist, businessman, and neighborhood voice.

Often mentioned alongside Nipsey Hussle, not for imitation but for intention, Savvy Sav continues to build a legacy using music to empower and uplift. His sound? A fusion of Southern roots and West Coast realism, creating a vibe that resonates on both coasts.

Now working on his sixth studio album, Streets of LA, Savvy Sav’s journey is far from over. But with “Hips Rocc” already racking up views and generating buzz, it’s clear he’s moving with purpose and the streets are watching.

Donald Trump Slammed With Lawsuit Over Chicago Troop Deployment

Donald Trump is now the target of a legal fight from both the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago after he authorized the deployment of hundreds of National Guard troops without local approval, escalating tensions over federal overreach and immigration enforcement.

The lawsuit, filed Monday (October 6), seeks to block the deployment of 300 federalized National Guard members to Chicago, per CBS.

The complaint argues that Trump’s directive violates the Constitution and disregards the authority of state and local governments.

“Defendants’ deployment of federalized troops to Illinois is patently unlawful,” Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul wrote in the filing. “Plaintiffs ask this court to halt the illegal, dangerous, and unconstitutional federalization of members of the National Guard of the United States, including both the Illinois and Texas National Guard.”

The lawsuit comes amid growing unrest following federal immigration raids in the city. Demonstrations have broken out across Chicago, with residents protesting what they see as an aggressive and unnecessary military presence.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson also issued an executive order on the same day, banning federal immigration agents from using any city-owned land—including parking lots, garages and vacant properties—for enforcement operations.

The order also offered free signage for private property owners to mark their land off-limits to federal agents.

According to ABC7 Chicago, Johnson’s order requires city departments to monitor and secure city-owned spaces but makes clear it won’t interfere with legitimate criminal investigations or court-issued warrants.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker condemned the deployment, calling it a “manufactured performance” and labeling the move “un-American.”

The deployment also includes about 400 troops from the Texas National Guard, who were approved to assist with federal protection missions in Illinois and other states.

The lawsuit seeks an immediate injunction to stop the deployment, arguing that federal authorities cannot override the will of elected state and city officials.

This isn’t the first time the Trump administration has been challenged over troop deployments. On Sunday (October 5), a federal judge in Oregon temporarily blocked a similar attempt to send National Guard troops to that state, citing legal concerns about using military forces in domestic law enforcement roles.

The lawsuit is part of a broader pushback against Trump’s strategy of using federal troops in cities like Los Angeles, Portland, Washington and Memphis during periods of civil unrest.

Chicago rapper Vic Mensa also weighed in, urging residents to stay alert and safe. He posted videos and messages across social media disputing the narrative that Chicago is a war zone, calling out the federal government’s portrayal of the city as a justification for military intervention.
