Kim Kardashian Brags That Her Bones Are Stronger Than Almost Everyone On Earth

Kim Kardashian has undergone a “painful” treatment to “tighten” her stomach area.

The reality TV star took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her getting the Morpheus8 laser treatment during a visit to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr Ashkan Ghavami’s office.

“This is a game changer!!! I did morpheous (sic) laser to tighten my stomach @drghavami’s spa @gpsaesthetics,” she captioned the photo in which the area around her belly button appeared very red. “I think this is my fave laser but it’s painful lol but worth it!”

Later, Kim also detailed her experiences of getting a body scan with BodySpec to measure her body fat and bone density.

Following the results, she shared that her bones are stronger than 93-97 percent of people and that she did not lose any muscle mass in the last year.

“A year ago, my body fat percentage was 25 per cent, now it’s 18.8 per cent.. (that’s) athlete category,” the 41-year-old continued.

Kim hit headlines in May when she revealed she had lost 16 pounds in three weeks so she could fit into an iconic dress once worn by Marilyn Monroe to the 2022 Met Gala.

A Smiling Lil Tjay Is Reportedly Out Of The Hospital After Being Shot

Lil Tjay is reportedly out of the hospital and doing much better. As you may remember, he was shot several times in June and it did not look like he was going to live. Lil Tjay was not willing to comply to the robbers, and the result was him getting shot in numerous places including some vital organs. There was a lot of conversation around him dying, because he was shot so many times. All this happened in July when he was hanging out in Edgewater, New Jersey. The cops say they attempted to rob the rapper and his friends, but the result was simply a shooting.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and jailed for the shooting. Oddly enough, he’s in Rikers Island, not a NJ jail. So now, Mohamed Konate is charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder, and his to alleged co-defendants are hit with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon charges. I am surprised they are not hit with the murder charge too.

This is all great! I hope that people understand how real it is out here and we don’t see a repeat of this sort of crazy stuff. He had a breathing tube and it almost didn’t seem like he was going to be able to talk. That’s sort of what happens when you get shot in the chest in the neck area.

It’s also fortunate that he was not paralyzed, as rumored previously.

Warner Bros Shelves “Batgirl” Movie After Spending $90 Million On Production

Warner Bros. executives have scrapped their upcoming “Batgirl” movie despite reportedly spending $90 million on filming.

It was announced last year that In the “Heights” star Leslie Grace would be playing Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, in the superhero movie, which was scheduled to debut on HBO Max later this year.

However, in a surprising twist, it was confirmed on Tuesday night that Warner Bros. had shelved the movie and would not be releasing it on any platform.

“The decision to not release Batgirl reflects our leadership’s strategic shift as it relates to the DC universe and HBO Max,” said a Warner Bros. spokesperson in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Leslie Grace is an incredibly talented actor and this decision is not a reflection of her performance. We are incredibly grateful to the filmmakers of Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt and their respective casts and we hope to collaborate with everyone again in the near future.”

According to the publication, the unusual decision to shelve a movie that’s in post-production is a result of a change of leadership at the studio.

The new Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is focusing on cost-cutting measures and theatrical, while former WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar prioritized developing projects for the HBO Max service.

Studio executives originally set a production budget of $75-80 million for “Batgirl,” but this reportedly escalated to $90 million due to Covid-19 protocols during filming, which wrapped earlier this year.

“Batgirl” was directed by “Bad Boys for Life” filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and also starred J.K. Simmons as the superhero’s father Commissioner James Gordon, Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly, and Michael Keaton reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

In addition to “Batgirl,” Warner Bros. officials have also decided to scrap “Scoob!: Holiday Haunt,” the follow-up to their 2020 animation “Scoob!”

50 Cent Warns Randall Emmett He Better “Stop Talking S###”

50 Cent recently spent time with Lala Kent on a film set – several years after he feuded with her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett.

TMZ published photos showing the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson III, and the “Vanderpump Rules” star sharing a hug while on the set of his upcoming horror movie, “Skill House.”

50 re-posted the snap on his Instagram page and wrote, “Randell you better stop texting people talking s### because I get nervous, and you know how I get when I get nervous.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CgzNmauLdb0/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

The 47-year-old did not share any further details or specify the nature of his and Kent’s relationship.

Emmett has not yet responded to the post.

Back in 2019, 50 Cent accused the former “Power” co-producer of owing him $1 million.

Amid a string of posts, the “In da Club” hitmaker taunted Kent by sharing memes about how she met Emmett and their sexual relationship.

Later, 50 Cent revealed that the 51-year-old had paid him back in full.

“I got my money, so I have no problem with Randall Emmett, in fact I’m wishing him and his family a very blessed day. positive vibes now guys. LOL,” he wrote at the time.

Doja Cat has claimed she can no longer send replies on Twitter after she went on a rant about some of the messages she receives.

Lil Nas X Says Beyoncé’s Album Is Changing His Life

Lil Nas X is a big fan of Beyoncé’s new album, Renaissance.

The “Industry Baby” rapper took to his Instagram Stories to praise the superstar’s seventh studio album, which dropped last week.

“This Beyoncé album kinda changing my life somehow. Unironically,” he wrote alongside a mirror selfie. “So much intention was put into this. she really deserves every single flower thrown at her. i’m not even dickriding.”

But while Lil Nas X and music critics have applauded the eclectic sound of the album, Beyoncé has come under fire for the record too.

After Kelis claimed that her 2003 single “Milkshake” had been interpolated in the track Renaissance without her approval, it was removed from the song on streaming services on Tuesday.

The drum interpolation from “Get Along with You,” another Kelis single, remains on the track.

In addition, Beyonce removed the word “s**z” from the track “Heated” after disability charities and advocates criticized her use of the derogatory term for those with spastic cerebral palsy. It has been replaced by the word “blast.”

Florida Judge Denies Rapper Julio Foolio’s Motion To Dismiss Prosecutor

Florida rapper Julio Foolio just got dealt another blow in court, after Judge Mark Borello denied a motion to get a certain prosecutor off his case.

On Wednesday, August 3, according to the State Attorney’s Officer, the rapper’s lawyer motion wanted the state prosecutor to be thrown off the case after bodycam footage showed her arriving to the scene of a traffic stop involving the artist, News 4 JAX reports.

The artist, whose real name is Charles Jones, was arrested, on that day in April 2022, for having tinted windows and for running from the police.

Foolio and his team believed it was inappropriate for the prosecutor to show up on the scene, allegedly hurking and lurking. The motion hoped to disqualify the Assistant State Attorney for getting involved with the on-scene investigation, also claiming the prosecutor used her power to illegally get evidence from the scene of the crime without a warrant.

Audio from the day catches law enforcement working together to disenfranchise the artist.

Detective: “How do you want me to put that in personal property? He said evidence.”

Prosecutor: “Yes. It is evidence. We have circumstances right now where his action (inaudible).”

Detective: “Cameras are still on.”

Prosecutor: “As well as the phones.”

Detective: “We’re taking the phones as well?”

In response to Foolio’s motion, the state said the prosecutor didn’t do anything wrong or abnormal. Many prosecutors show up to crime scenes for cases they are connected to.

The artist, who is allegedly the head of a criminal gang called 6 Block, has been under investigation for a long time and the prosecutor is only one of three lawyers assigned to his case through the Proactive Targeted Prosecution Unit.

Foolio has been connected to a lot of drama, including beef with another gang called ATK, the death of a young man named Corbin, and other ghastly murders in Jacksonville.

In fact, once to antagonize his opts, Julio Foolio posted a picture on his Instagram of himself with an airbrushed T-shirt of a recently deceased young man named, Royale D’Von Smith Jr., aka 23, that said: “Rest in P### 23.”

He captioned it, “I’m getting a new T-shirt made for my show.”

The prosecutor is gathering info about all of these blips in his social and criminal history.

The state said, during the traffic stop, the prosecutor in question did not collect evidence illegally or insert herself into the investigation.

Julio’s team is set to have another hearing on the motion next week.

Hip-Hop’s Original Gangster Just-Ice Returns To Music, Says He Invented Gangsta Rap

In the mid-80’s rappers were a few

In the Halls of Hardcore Hip-Hop Fame, there stands a statue of a man 6′ 3″ and solid as granite. That figure is of Just-Ice, a Bronx New York emcee that is heralded as a pioneer of Hip-Hop from the onset of rap music’s transition to harder textures. Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur talks to Just-Ice about his new music, namely the song “Get Your Drink On, Get Your Freak On!” which pairs the rapper with longtime producer Mantronix.

Things get really interesting when Just-Ice travels down memory lane and speaks his mind. He talks about everything from KRS-One to the MC Poet (Blaq Poet) to his relationship to genius producer Kurtis Mantronix. He also reveals he never met RZA as portrayed in “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” but explains relationship with Popa Wu AKA Freedom (RIP).

He says he started gangsta rap, but admits Ice-T started making records before him. “I started it, before NWA, before anybody else,” he says around the 22 minutes mark. “Ice-T started making records before me, but he wasn’t talking no gangsta sh#t.” Philadelphia’s Schoolly D is most-often credited with starting the genre with “PSK (Parkside Killers),” but his New York counterpart downplays it.

He also makes the startling revelation that Heavy D stole a song idea from himself and KRS-One, a brazen act that upset them both. Nonetheless, he says he has nothing but love for his Mt. Vernon brother and they have numerous experiences to prove that.

There’s a lot to unpack in this interview.

WNBA Star Brittney Griner Found Guilty In Russian Drug Trial

A Russian court has found WNBA player Brittney Griner guilty of drug smuggling with a criminal intent to distribute.

The decision came on Thursday, Aug. 4, and now the two-time Olympic gold medalist has been sentenced to 9 years in a penal colony. The prosecutor is also asking for her to pay 1 million Russian roubles in fines, a total of $16,500 in American dollars, ABC News reports.

The baller does have the right to appeal and her team said, “we will certainly file,” calling the verdict “absolutely unreasonable,” the New York Times reveals.

Her lawyers, Maria Blagovolina, a partner at Rybalkin Gortsunyan Dyakin, and Alexander Boykov, of Moscow Legal Center, said the Russian court “completely ignored all the evidence of the defense, and most importantly, the guilty plea.”

Griner, a member of the Phoenix Mercury WNBA franchise, went to the red nation to play during her offseason as a way to make extra money. She went to play for the Russian basketball team, UMMC Yekaterinburg.

Like in most industries, women make less than their male counterparts. Whereas multiple NBA players, even rookies, come into the NBA making over $1 million, the top WNBA player has a salary of about $228K.

While she was traveling officials found vape cartridges containing hashish oil in her luggage. Though she pled guilty to the drug charges in July, she said she accidentally packed the paraphernalia and had no “intention” to break her host country’s law. She shared she was rushing and still stressed after battling COVID-19 weeks earlier.

When explaining why she had the hash in the first place, her American doctor was able to send testimony via a letter stating she has been approved for medical use of cannabis to reduce chronic pain coming from being an athlete.

Pleading guilty was recommended by her Russian lawyers.

In a statement, they said, “Brittney sets an example of being brave. She decided to take full responsibility for her actions as she knows that she is a role model for many people.”

“Considering the nature of her case,” she continued. “The insignificant amount of the substance and BG’s personality and history of positive contributions to global and Russian sport, the defense hopes that the plea will be considered by the court as a mitigating factor and there will be no severe sentence.”

The U.S. Department of State has said that Finer is being “wrongfully detained” and will be working to try and bring her and another prisoner home.

“We put a substantial proposal on the table weeks ago to facilitate their release. Our governments have communicated repeatedly and directly on that proposal, and I’ll use the conversation to follow up personally and I hope [to] move us toward a resolution,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

“I pressed the Kremlin to accept the substantial proposal that we put forth on the release of Paul Whelan and Brittney Griner,” Blinken continued. “I’m not going to characterize his responses and I can’t give you an assessment of whether I think things are more or less likely, but it was important that [he] hear directly from me on that.”

His Russian counterpart is playing chess with the White House official.

Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova countered saying that “the issue of mutual exchange of Russian and American citizens, staying in places of detention on the territory of the two countries, was discussed at one time by the presidents of Russia and the United States,” but “a concrete result has not yet been achieved.”

“Batgirl” Directors “Shocked” By Decision To Shelve Movie

“Batgirl” directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah “can’t believe” studio executives have shelved the film indefinitely.

On Tuesday, Warner Bros. executives announced that they were scrapping the superhero movie, which was scheduled to debut on HBO Max later this year, despite reportedly spending $90 million on the production.

Bosses insisted the decision wasn’t based on the quality of the film or the performance of Leslie Grace in the lead role, and on Wednesday, Adil and Bilall issued a joint statement expressing their sadness over the call.

“We are saddened and shocked by the news. We still can’t believe it,” they wrote. “As directors, it is critical that our work be shown to audiences, and while the film was far from finished, we wish that fans all over the world would have had the opportunity to see and embrace the final film themselves.

Maybe one day they will insha’Allah (God willing). Our amazing cast and crew did a tremendous job and worked so hard to bring Batgirl to life. We are forever grateful to have been part of that team.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg1fuUxOwzD/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

“Bad Boys for Life” helmers Adil and Bilall went on to describe working with the cast, which also included the likes of Michael Keaton, J.K. Simmons, and Brendan Fraser, as a “dream.”

“In any case, as huge fans of Batman since we were little kids, it was a privilege and an honor to have been a part of the DCEU, even if it was for a brief moment,” they continued, adding: “Batgirl For Life.”

In addition to “Batgirl,” Warner Bros. officials have also decided to scrap “Scoob!: Holiday Haunt,” the follow-up to their 2020 animation “Scoob!”

R. Kelly Is Broke-Broke … Owes Prison $140K But Only Has $28K On His Books!

It is weird to say it but disgraced R&B singer R. Kelly, a man that used his wealth to abuse women, girls, and boys for years, is broke. So broke, he is being used as an example for prison finance reform, a conversation that says prisoners should not be required to pay fees in jail that they don’t have in real life.

According to The Washington Post, the man who once had a net worth of over $100 million, writing hit songs for Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and more, currently has a – $2 million and now has roughly $28,000 in a prison account.

Still, a federal judge (in total disregard of his financial standing) ordered him to pay $140,000 as part of his sentence.

This is not uncommon. Many inmates are expected, as a part of their penalty) to pay court-ordered victim fees.

The report states, “The Federal Bureau of Prisons has been pushing back against efforts to make inmates paymuch more of their court-ordered restitution to crime victims, in part because the money they would use helps fund salary and benefits for hundreds of agency staff positions, documents and interviews show.”

One expert named Jack Donson, who is a retired Bureau of Prisons case manager coordinator who currently consults on the federal prison system, says the fact that this is a conversation sheds light on how “dysfunctional” the prison bureau is.

Donson said some officials are more “focused on preserving the flow of money through commissary accounts —known within the agency as the ‘Trust Fund,’ than actual justice for the inmate serving his or her time.

“At meetings, staffers often referred to the Trust Fund as a ‘slush fund,’ so I have always been suspicious of it,” Donson said.

He is pushing to have this changed.

If the rules about prisoner finances are changed, Kelly will be one of the inmates positively impacted by the vote.

Kelly, who has shared publicly how broke he is since being sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking, has about$28,000 in his prison account, sources say.

These same individuals close to the case say the multi-Grammy winner also owes $140,000 in court-ordered fines. Court records report that included in the six-digit fee is a $40,000 penalty placed on the convicted child molester for a fund for human trafficking victims.

Though prosecutors have the right to demand it, they have not asked a judge to make the Bureau of Prisons confiscate that money. Possibly because they know he doesn’t have it.

And you can’t get blood out of a turnip … or in this case a Pied Piper.

Big Daddy Kane Teams Up With Eric B For New Sitcom Pilot

Rapper Big Daddy Kane and DJ Eric B are showing fans that they can molly wap them with more than just music. The two Hip-Hop icons are collaborating on a new sitcom called “Daddy’s House,” gearing up to shoot the first pilot episode.

According to a press release, “Daddy’s House” will star the Brooklyn native “as a divorced former NYC radio personality who now owns a trendy restaurant in Atlanta, GA.”

While adapting to single life and “enjoying bachelorhood,” his newfound freedom is interrupted by a visit (that turns permanent) from his two teenage children.

Directed by veteran TV actor and showrunner Terri J. Vaughn (who will double in the series as Kane’s wife), the show hopes to show that once the kids move in, while it might be Daddy’s House… the mini-adults run the show.

This is not the Smooth Operator’s first time performing as an actor. In 1993, he broke into film in two feature films, “Posse” and “The Meteor Man.” Over the years he has accumulated quite a few guest spots on major series including the history-making series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” where he played Ray Wallis aka Four Stroke.

In 2019, the AV Club reported that “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” is TV’s longest-running primetime U.S. live-action series in television history and the only live-action primetime series that debuted in the 1990s. Producers are still making new episodes.

With luck, “Daddy’s House,” a show written by Jeff Farley for Mayja Productions, will have the same or greater amount of success.

Cardi B Says “Former Assistant” Rumors About Nicki Minaj Are False

Cardi B wants the world to know she does not believe the recent stories connected to her longtime adversary Nicki Minaj.

Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj had to address rumors spread by an unknown Instagram user. The unverified @Katemiller_7 account made some scandalous accusations about the “Do We Have a Problem?” rapper.

The fake “Kate Miller” claimed to be Nicki Minaj’s former assistant. The page accused Minaj of owing the IRS around $173 million in back taxes. “Kate Miller” also said Minaj was on bad terms with Beyoncé, Normani, and Ariana Grande.

Unsurprisingly, the person behind the viral Instagram account brought Cardi B’s name into the situation as well. According to the unsubstantiated IG page, Nicki Minaj still has a very serious problem with Cardi.

YouTuber Armon Wiggins reported Cardi B informed him that she did not believe the comments made by “Kate Miller” about Nicki Minaj. The Invasion of Privacy album creator later confirmed what Wiggins said on his show.

“Another thing that I’m seeing is people saying, ‘Oh, you be discussing this, this, and that with Armon.’ No, a lot of blogs hit me up asking me about that b####### that was going on two days ago. And I told everybody, ‘No, that is not true,'” stated Cardi B.

She also added, “I think it’s false. I think it’s a troll. And that’s what I told Armon. And that’s what I told everybody else. I’m not discussing anybody. I’m telling people, ‘No, the s### is a lie.’ Because guess what? If I don’t respond when people ask me, they’re gonna assume that it’s real. And then they’re gonna run with it. I don’t lie on people. I’m not gonna let a narrative go that is not true. What’s wrong with that?”

Nicki Minaj responded to the gossip too. In her own video message shared on Instagram Live, Minaj insinuated that Cardi B’s fans and Atlantic Records conspired to create the “Kate Miller” account as a way to end the Republic-backed performer’s career.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been feuding since at least 2018. The bad blood rose to a fever pitch that year when Cardi threw a shoe at Minaj during Harper’s Bazaar‘s New York Fashion Week party. Both MotorSport collaborators’ respective fan bases continue to attack each other online.

Ma$e Claims He’s Signing With Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Label

Hip Hop icon Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus Jr. now owns the iconic Death Row Records. Harlem-bred rapper Ma$e says he is ready to sign a deal with the West Coast company.

Yesterday (August 3), Ma$e posted a video on his Instagram page, filmed from the back of a moving vehicle. According to the 46-year-old entertainer, he and Snoop are about to join forces.

“I’m on Crenshaw – just passed Pico, just passed Slauson. I’m out here to meet with Snoop, so I can do another joint venture with Death Row Records,” Ma$e said into the camera.

The former minister also added, “I’ll be officially the first one signed to Bad Boy and Death Row. And we gonna get the 2Pac thing rekindled. Let’s see where we go with that.” Ma$e also tagged Snoop in the Instagram post’s caption.

Ma$e’s Former Bad Boy Label Has A History Of Beef With Death Row

The man born Mason Betha was one of the top rap stars of the 1990s. Ma$e originally broke into the mainstream as part of the Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs-founded Bad Boy Entertainment which was based in New York.

Ma$e and Bad Boy scored a commercial hit with 1997’s Harlem World album. The 4x-Platinum, Grammy-nominated project hosted the Hot 100 Top 10 singles “Feel So Good,” “What You Want” featuring Total, and “Lookin’ At Me” featuring Puff Daddy.

Snoop Dogg (formerly known as Snoop Doggy Dogg) was the flagship artist for Death Row Records in the early 1990s. Many Hip Hop fans consider the Long Beach-bred rhymer’s Doggystyle album to be a classic of the genre.

Death Row Records versus Bad Boy Entertainment became arguably Hip Hop’s most infamous beef of all time. During the ’90s, Death Row’s Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, 2Pac, and Tha Dogg Pound feuded with Bad Boy affiliates Puff Daddy, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil Kim, and Junior M.A.F.I.A.

Quality Control CEO P Thomas Expresses Fear Over Monkeypox

The infectious viral disease known as monkeypox is one of the top news stories in the country at the moment. According to the CDC, there are over 6,600 monkeypox cases in America.

Quality Control Music’s Chief Executive Officer Pierre “P” Thomas is one of the Americans who is expressing concern over the growing number of people contracting monkeypox. P took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the topic.

“Let’s normalize ‘no handshaking, no dapping’ when we see each other. Just speaking only. This monkeypox s### is scary. Especially for people who got to go back home with their kids every day from being out in the field. Be careful everyone. This s### getting real,” posted P Thomas on Wednesday evening.

P’s monkeypox tweet sparked significant online conversation. Some social media users agreed with the Quality Control executive’s take about permanent social distancing in order to avoid getting infected.

Some other people pointed out P’s response to monkeypox should have been the early reaction to the spread of coronavirus over two years ago. More than one million died from COVID-19 in the United States. The global total reportedly passed 6 million deaths.

Back in 2020, P’s Quality Control record label announced a $100,000 donation to the GOODR organization as COVID-19 relief. Around 1,000 families in the metro Atlanta area received grocery deliveries through the program.

Quality Control Music has been the record label home of Migos, Lil Baby, City Girls, Lil Yachty, Rich The Kid, Layton Greene, and Lakeyah. QC co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Atlanta-based company.

The medical community believes monkeypox is rarely fatal. Symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, swollen lymph nodes, and a blister-creating rash. Monkeypox can spread through skin-to-skin contact. The illness typically lasts 2-4 weeks.

The Kid Mero Reveals Split With Desus Was In The Works For A Year

Back in July, speculation about Daniel “Desus Nice” Baker and Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez parting ways began circulating online.

Many followers of the comedy duo could not believe the Bronx natives would actually break up. Then the verified Twitter account for the Desus & Mero show confirmed the separation.

“Bodega Hive: The illustrious @desusnice and @THEKIDMERO will be pursuing separate creative endeavors moving forward. #DESUSandMERO will not be returning to SHOWTIME. It’s been a good run, fam.”

Longtime fans of Desus & Mero began questioning why the popular podcasters decided to go their separate ways now. The Kid Mero recently made an appearance on the Basic! podcast. He talked about the partnership concluding last month.

“Desus and I had discussed pursuing separate interests over a year prior to the show coming to an end and that conversation solidified us in signing overall agreements that recognized our intent to operate independent of one another,” said The Kid Mero.

Additionally, the Dominican-American media personality told Basic! hosts Doug Herzog and Jen Chaney, “As far back as June of last year, we were both pitching or looking to join existing projects as individuals.” Mero also said the move was a “strategy” that both men agreed on.

The Desus & Mero television show first debuted on the Viceland channel in 2016. The late-night talk show moved to the Showtime premium cable network in 2019 where it ran for four seasons. Desus Nice and The Kid Mero also hosted the Bodega Boys podcast.

Donald Glover Explains Why He’s Bothered By Black Criticism Of ‘Atlanta’

FX presented season three of Atlanta beginning March 24, 2022, after the program initially arrived on television in 2016. The Donald Glover-created dramedy has become a hit with critics and audiences.

Apparently, some Black television viewers have an issue with Atlanta. Donald Glover addressed the criticism from African-Americans during a panel with the Television Critics Association.

“I feel like a lot of the Black criticism bothers me only because it sounds like [it’s from] Black people who don’t really know what we’ve been through,” stated Glover. “I don’t think they give a lot of credit to what we’ve gone through.”

Atlanta features a primarily Black cast. In addition to Donald Glover playing the lead character Earnest “Earn” Marks, the main cast includes Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz.

“There are better ways to talk about it rather than like with s### I’ve heard in fourth grade about who we are because I feel this is such a Black show,” Donald Glover added. “To say it’s only for white people, it’s like we’re cutting ourselves down which is kind of whack to me.”

Stephen Glover Says Black People Tell Him They Love Atlanta

Fellow executive producer, Stephen Glover, backed up his older brother. Stephen expressed, “I will also say being in Atlanta and walking around, or even like in L.A., I run into Black people all the time who tell me this is their favorite show and how they appreciate everything we do.”

Season 3 of Atlanta garnered two Primetime Emmy nominations. Donald Glover is up for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences also nominated the show for Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Series.

The FX network announced Atlanta season 4 will premiere on September 15. This will be the final episodes about the rise of fictional rapper Paper Boi (Tyree Henry), Earn, and their friends.

Big Sean Reacts To Reports Of Earth’s Shortest Day; Not “Coincidence”

Big Sean says not enough people are paying attention to the news that the Earth is spinning faster than usual and recording shorter days than ever before, something the Detroit rapper says is not a “coincidence.”

Scientists report that changes in the Earth’s spin cycle recently resulted in the shortest day ever recorded. According to Moscow State University scientist Leonid Zotov, June 29, 2022, was 1.59 milliseconds less than the average day.

Though the standard day lasts 24 hours, or 86,400 seconds, in recent years the Earth’s rotation has accelerated. This means that some days have been shortened by milliseconds. Zotov, who recently published a study on the causes of changes in the Earth’s rotation, has documented the changes. “Since 2016 the Earth started to accelerate,” he told CBS News. “This year it rotates quicker than in 2021 and 2020.”

While the trend – believed to be caused by the Earth’s tides – does not shorten every day, if it continues, there could be huge ramifications. Atomic time – the universal way time is measured on Earth – may have to change. “Since we can not change the clock arrows attached to the Earth rotation, we adjust the atomic clock scale,” Zotov added.

Big Sean Concerned Over Earth’s Shortest Day

First-time father-to-be, Big Sean is concerned about the fluctuation. He believes those concerns should be widely shared. He expressed his fears in the comments section of a post on The Shade Room

“This has been going on,” Big Sean began. “Its not just a “coincidence” that it feels like time and life is flying by more than when we were kids.

According to the rapper, “its actually moving faster on a quantum level.” He also noted, the fact “we can physically feel n see it in real time” means the issue “really needs attention.” Check out his comments below.

Kendrick Lamar Already Working On New Album

Meanwhile, a recent interview revealed that K-Dot is busy creating the follow-up to his chart-topping Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers album while on tour. According to Lamar’s longtime production partner, Sounwave, he and Kendrick Lamar got right back at it

“Oh, we always start, immediately after,” Sounwave explained to Complex earlier this month. “Like, we’re starting on the next one now. That’s never going to change, all the way from the Kendrick Lamar EP. The next day, we started on Section.80. It’s just the ideas never stopped,”

He also confirmed, “That’s one of the main reasons I go on tour with him, is to create the next album. We can’t skip a beat. We have to just keep it going. There’s no breaks. There’s no such thing as a vacation when you’re doing what you love. Everything you do is what you love to do, so you’re excited.”
