Jack Harlow Donates To Organizations In Hometown Of Louisville

Jack Harlow supported his hometown by making donations to local organizations in Louisville.

The Atlantic Records artist donated to AMPED, the Center for Women and Families, Grace James Academy, and the Louisville Urban League and Metro United Way.

These organizations include a music program, a support system for victims of rape and domestic violence, an all-girls school, and a nonprofit aimed at economic development for underserved urban communities.

“I took some counsel from my mom, she has always had a giving heart, and she’s no stranger to a lot of these organizations,” Harlow told PEOPLE magazine. “Aside from that, I really wanted to dive in and figure out what hit home for me.”

After consulting with his mother, Jack Harlow decided to donate to multiple organizations.

“It was impossible for me to just choose one,” he explained to PEOPLE. “All of these organizations resonated with me and I wanted to make sure there was some range and breadth to the love I was spreading,”

Jack Harlow is no stranger to giving back. He previously donated $500,000 to Kentucky State University and Simmons College of Kentucky. But for his latest donations, he wanted to specifically focus on his hometown.

“It means everything,” Harlow said of Louisville. “It’s my foundation. It’s part of my DNA. People joke about how often I reference my home, but it’s a huge part of my identity and I want you to think of Louisville when you think of me. My career feels like a mission that’s bigger than me.”

French Montana Launches His Own Fragrance With Member Of Hennessy Family

South Bronx rapper (by way of Casablanca, Morocco) French Montana is extending his brand outside of music.

The “All The Way Up” chart-topper has recently announced that he will be partnering with Kilian Hennessy to design the bottles for their products.

Kilian is a member of the historic Hennessy family, responsible for most of the Cognac in the world.

In an interview with WWD, he revealed that he “always wore Kilian scents.”

“Kilian is one of the finest luxury brands in the world with an exquisite level of taste, so it only made sense that we came together to make history.”

This partnership will allow French Montana to flex his muscle as a designer and collaborator.

He will not only be a celebrity endorser, but the rapper will also be lending his name and likeness to various promotions. His first project is working on a new bottle for the fragrance Angels’ Share.

“It’s been a journey selecting different molds for the bottle, and we’ve landed on a unique design that stands out,” he shared. “I really didn’t understand the level of how involved Kilian is with his incredible brand. From start to finish, he has guided me through his process and the way he runs his team.”

The limited-edition Angels’ Share by Kilian and French Montana will have a bottle featuring a gold-colored disk on the cap, engraved chains.

So what does it smell like?

He told WWD that the scent can be described as being “sophisticated” “fresh” “clean,” and “complex.”

French continued, “It is the right scent for a night on the town or stepping onto the red carpet.”

Killian says that this is a natural collaboration, right in line with his family’s association with rap musicians since the dawn of the culture, “My family name Hennessy has always been very, very intertwined with the U.S. Hip-Hop culture.”

According to the Whiskey Exchange, Hennessy as a brand is older than the United States of America. The spirit company was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is currently the largest Cognac producer in the world.

The company is formally known as LVMH – Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy and is one of the largest luxury goods companies in the world.

Lil Durk’s “Top 50 Rappers Of All Time” List Is Missing Some Key People – Emcees!

Lil Durk’s “Top 50 Rappers Of All Time” list is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Now that I got that out, let me backtrack a little bit and we can all have a little laugh. First of all, what world does this young man live in and who are his parents? Second of all who are his friends? Thirdly, does he really believe this or is this just a ploy to drum up attention to the tour? I know Durk and Lil Baby are touring in an effort to get it lit all across the country. In young worlds, there’s quite a bit of conversation around this..not sure of rap scholars will even pay it any mind.

Now that I have gotten my first initial thoughts out, I looked at the list. I see true legends in Hip-Hop like J. Cole, Future, Gucci Mane, Nipsey Hussle, Drake, and even Meek Mill. There are quite a few others definitely warrant a nod in the modern era, but the list generally speaks volumes to Durk’s youth. He clearly has no OG‘s in his life to give him some education on the total scope of rap. Durk is 28. He looks young but he’s not THAT young. I think he could have mentioned a few OGs (Jay-Z, Kanye West?) unless this was some sort of press/attention ploy. I dunno. 🤷🏾‍♂️

It’s clearly weird since…some are really, really wack. Wack Wack.

PEEP THE LIST!

Hip-Hop Reacts To Facebook, Instagram And WhatsApp Outages

Social media chaos erupted when Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all went down on Monday.

The three platforms, which are owned by Facebook, began experiencing outages in the middle of the day. Facebook had to use Twitter to address the problem publicly.

“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products,” the company said on Twitter. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

According to CNN, the outage is a Domain Name System (DNS) failure. While social media users are unable to use Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, the company’s employees have been even more hamstrung.

Facebook’s internal systems stopped working, including the company’s internal communications platform. The New York Times reported some employees couldn’t even get into buildings and conference rooms because their digital badges weren’t functioning. Engineers were also struggling to even assess the issues as they were unable to access server areas.

The outage came on the heels of a Facebook whistleblower revealing her identity in an interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday. Frances Haugen, a former Facebook product manager, recently leaked thousands of pages of internal research and documents that increased scrutiny of the company.

Haugen accused Facebook of hiding its myriad of issues from investors. She said the company prioritized profits over any efforts to stop misinformation and hate speech as well as Instagram-facilitated harm to children and teens.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatApp going down prompted lots of chatter from rappers and other Hip Hop figures on Twitter. Some delighted in the social media platforms being rendered useless while others wondered if something sinister was at play. Quite a few turned the whole situation into an opportunity for jokes.

Check out some of the notable reactions from the Hip Hop community below.

Meet The Savagez Also Known As GWA; Girls With Attitude

If you’re not familiar with The Savagez prepare to fall in love. With female artists taking over the rap game, this best friend duo is here to declare their place in the music industry, once and for all.

With Jet hailing from South Carolina and Kellye from Dallas, Texas, both ladies draw from their Southern roots with a West Coast influence, deeming their unique sound as “Southern Trap meets West Coast Bounce.”

Upon meeting in Los Angeles, their synergy was unmatched, quickly realizing their own potential as a musical duo. In describing themselves, they state, “We got that Southern charm mixed with LA vibes. That makes us different as a group because we know how to mix the trap beats with the West Coast beats. We’ve been taking over.”

Most recently, they unleashed their new single “RICH BTCH SHT,” pairing with a cinematic visual full of cash, twerking, and flat out debauchery. This arrives on the heels of their previous single “On Read’ produced by DJ Chose. The song itself went all the way up on TikTok, with users posting videos of themselves leaving people on read.

The Savagez are the next up out of the Artistry Records, the same label that discovered, developed and signed Saweetie; lead by music visionary and guru Max Gousse.

A post shared by Boss Moves Ent (@officialbossmoves_)

AllHipHop: Talk about your roots in the South, how does that influence you?

Jet: Definitely we come from small country towns so when we came to LA, it was definitely a big change for us. But it’s something we always wanted to do. We had always done music back home, but we never really had the opportunity to do it on this type of platform. Coming to LA, it’s all about entertainment. There’s so many people to network with so that’s how we got started.

Kellye: With me being from South Carolina and her being from Dallas, we both love Gucci Mane. Gucci’s in a lot of our music. Even though we’ve been out here for a while, over 5 plus years, the Southern music is still really what I listen to. Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, we love their vibe. But we got some West Coast vibes too. Jet’s-half Colombian so we’ve got some Latin records coming out. We have a whole bunch of stuff.

Jet: A major catalog.

AllHipHop: What do you both bring to the table?

Kellye: We’re different with our sounds as well, that’s why I think we’re different. Jet is good, she can sing a little bit. She’s more melodic, but she still raps like she’s from the South. Me, I like to rhyme more like Gucci Mane.

Jet: She’s swaggy.

Kellye: I’m swaggy. If you listen to our music, you can definitely tell the difference. We’re night and day. I like to be up in the morning, she’s a night owl. We really compliment each other.

AllHipHop: How do you guys record with your time difference? [Laughs]

Kellye: We usually either do it in the afternoon or evening, that’s when we’re both up.

Jet: I pre-record, that’s the time. That’s the perfect time. She’s up and I’m already going.

AllHipHop: How early do you get up?

Jet: I be up at 5am girl, because the sun be waking me up. I have a big window. I literally brought curtains, but now my body wakes up at 5am.

Kellye: I don’t wake up until 11am so she knows not to hit me until after 12pm.

AllHipHop: How did y’all meet though?

Jet: We met through mutual friends. We used to shoot skits at the Sketch house in LA about 4 or 5 years ago. We used to create our own content but we were always doing stuff for other people. Me and her got together like “we need to shoot content for us and get our followers up.” That’s how we started The Savagez.

AllHipHop: How did you guys come up with that name?

Kellye: We had a group chat, it was me, Jet, and our other homegirl. We were talking about savage stuff with dudes. We said “you know what, we’re some savagez.” Before we were rapping together or any of that, our group chat was named The Savagez. It really stuck with us when we started doing our YouTube videos, we really became a group and started promoting on social media. Everybody loved The Savagez, they’d say “y’all are so pretty, but y’all Savagez.” So we love it, yes.

AllHipHop: Is there any meaning behind the “Z”?

Jet: We wanted to be different because to be savage, you see it everywhere. But we wanted something that’s going to stick out, that’s why we went with the Z. Even when you say the name The Savagez, it sounds like it has a Z at the end anyways.

AllHipHop: “Rich Btch Sht” out now! Bring us back to when you guys created the record.

Kellye: It was lit because the beat is more of a main beat. We really love high BPMs, fast bounce music. With her being from Dallas, she has a lot of New Orleans influences so it was really easy for us to record it. We’re always trying to make music for girls to shake their ass to.

Jet: Yeah, we definitely wanted a twerk song.

Kellye: Uh huh, for girls to get lit to. We always be out with our friends: posting, promoting. They played it at brunch the other day and when this song came on, everybody went crazy.

Jet: Oh my gosh, they were dancing with their mimosas! But yaw’ll gotta see the Behind The Scenes too, it was so dope, shout to the squad.

AllHipHop: How was it shooting the music video?

Jet: It was fun, this was one of the biggest music videos we’ve done. We were looking fine getting our hair and makeup done, channelling our inner “Rich Btch Sht.” It was fun, it was a lot of people who were involved. We really got to see how working behind-the-scenes with the team is. It was awesome, it came out good so y’all got to tune in. Go to Youtube.

Kellye: Yes, you got to check out the video. We’ve got dancers in there who were really cutting up, we just love it.

AllHipHop: What is your favorite “Rich B*tch S###” activity?

Jet: Shopping! [laughs]

Kellye: We love shopping. Gotta get that drip!

Jet: We like designer now. Got to get that Fendi, Gucci, Louie, but we own businesses too. We promote small businesses and we both have boutiques. You can still be a rich b####. You don’t have to have on designer to be a rich b####.

Kellye: It’s the energy.

AllHipHop: How was it collaborating with DJ Chose on “On Read”?

Kellye: We love DJ Chose. We worked with him before on our first project. We met him a couple years ago in LA, he had produced a record for us. When we did “On Read,” we went down to Houston because he said “we need to get the real feel of Houston.” We were always working in LA, and it’s cool to work in LA but sometimes you need a different vibe when you travel somewhere else. We gotta go to the South where we’re from and get that Southern beat. When we did the record with him, it was perfect. It meshed together.

Jet: We knew that day it was going to be something special. We put it out, it started going up on YouTube and TikTok before we knew it. After two TikToks, we looked up it was at 200, 500, and then 1,000. We knew we had something special. Chose is our friend, so it was all natural.

AllHipHop: How often are you on TikTok? Talk about the challenges.

Jet: We’re on TikTok a lot. The #OnRead challenge when we dropped that, and the “RBS Challenge.”

Kellye: That’s the new one.

Jet: You can leave anyone on read so dudes were doing it, females. They were doing the memes. Leaving their boo’s on read, leaving their bosses on read.

Kellye: They were getting real creative, from dancers to memes to anything. It was real interesting. We’ve seen some crazy ones. We’ve seen one TikTok with a girl and a snake. A snake?” Then she puts lashes on the snake. What is going on?

Jet: She got a lot of views on that.

Kellye: She did.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from your new EP, Girls With Attitude?

Jet: You’re going to have a variety of different songs, I’m super excited. We’re very versatile, you’re going to really see that on our project. But we’re still making your turn up music because we like to have fun.

AllHipHop: When can we expect the project?

Kellye: Soon, we’re gonna keep y’all posted.

Jet: We’re pushing this single right now so that’s our focus, but right after that, the EP’s dropping.

AllHipHop: How did you guys link with your manager, Max Gousse?

Jet: It’s crazy because I met him a long time ago.

Kellye: She was manifesting this.

Jet: I knew he had worked with some girls in the industry. I said “we need Max” because a lot of people that were trying to work with us wanted to change us. We really wanted to be authentic and be ourselves, he really lets us do that. It’s really a blessing to work with him and the team.

AllHipHop: Jet, you were doing music beforehand right?

Jet: Before, I was a solo artist before I joined the group. Coming in doing the group thing, I had some experience. I’m not going to lie, it’s so much fun working with someone else that has the same drive as you. It’s hard being a woman in the industry, especially working with men. We were always together getting things done. It’s really a blessing, I’m happy to be a Savage!

Kellye: I used to go to all her shows, and I used to be in all her videos. If you look on her on YouTube page, I was the background dancer. It’s crazy, we were always together.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to now be doing this? That’s tight.

Kellye: At first it was weird, because I was always coming to her videos, but I got to see how it was done so I really caught on fast. At first, she said “Kellye, you can’t rap!. Da da da.” [laughs] When I spit for her, after we did our first song together, we knew we had something special. It was a wrap.

Jet: Yeah, I was surprised. Everybody liked us together. If it’s meant to be a group, then let’s do it. I’m not going to hate, two heads is better than one.

AllHipHop: 3 things you guys need in the studio at all times?

Both: Red Bull.

Kellye: Some snacks, some chocolate. We love chocolate. And some tequila!

Jet: Casamigos!

AllHipHop: What would you guys be doing if you weren’t doing music?

Kellye: We’re already entrepreneurs. We were doing YouTube, we both were into acting. We want to be moguls, we have businesses. We’re always grinding, hustling, making money. We’re going to do that regardless. We’re taking over the music industry. We’re going to be doing acting, clothes and building our business and our brand. Everyone across the globe is going to know about The Savagez.

Jet: Exactly!

AllHipHop: Goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Jet: We want to be on billboard, #1. We ain’t stopping until we get there.

Kellye: We’re trying to be great.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?

Jet: Check out “RBS,” stream it. It’s on all platforms and we’re looking forward to seeing those TikToks. Trying to get a viral dance poppin’.

Kellye: We’ll repost you, tag us. If you want to do a video of the song or rap the song on TikTok, we’re posting everybody.

Pitbull Bashes American Critics But Once Told AllHipHop.com ‘Jesus Couldn’t Save America’

Cuban-American rapper Pitbull has an issue with anyone who has any problems with the United States.

During a recent concert, the “On The Floor” rapper said that people with issues with the country should go to his parents’ native land. But did he forget that he once said that Christ “couldn’t save America” and that if a certain Republican became president he would move to D.R.?

A viral video showing the Latinx chart-topper lambasting American critics with the rawest expletives has taken over social media and is being celebrated by the political right.

The first-generation American said, “To whoever the f### doesn’t like the United States of America, may God bless you, but f### you at the same time.”

“If you don’t like the United States of America, go back to the countries that we the f### from, and you’ll see how much you appreciate the United States of America,” he continued.

While the video popped up on Twitter last week, no one is clear on which concert it was taped at.

This is also not the first time he has gone on record to talk about how important the nation is and how much he values being American. In 2015, according to Fox News, he spoke about his parents being immigrants and how they came to the country legally.

He said, “They knew what this country had to offer is that you could control your own destiny. You had opportunity. And you had the number one thing which was and which is freedom.”

His parents came to the nation in the 1960s. His mother was the first to come to the country. She left Cuba through a program called Operation Peter Pan. The two-year program sponsored by the Catholic church and ran between 1960 and 1962, was a “clandestine mass exodus of over 14,000 unaccompanied Cuban minors ages 6 to 18 to the United States.”

According to PedroPan.org, “From December 1960 to October 1962, more than fourteen thousand Cuban youths arrived alone in the United States. What is now known as Operation Pedro Pan was the largest recorded exodus of unaccompanied minors in the Western Hemisphere.”

The parents sent them with the church and kept the secret for 30 years, only revealing it to the public in the late 80s. The kids were called the Cuban Refugee Children’s Program and once arriving in the United States were placed in Miami’s shelters and were later relocated throughout the nation in 30 different states.

Pitbull’s dad came to the U.S. via a visa lottery.

However, the Miami superstar has been critical of America himself. Back in 2011, he told The Guardian, “The United States was built by immigrants, so it’s very sad. I know everything in life has to have boundaries, rules, and regulations. I agree with that. I don’t agree when the USA, that lives by a constitution, says, ‘OK, just because you look this way, we’re going to ask you for your documentation, or you gotta go back to your country.’”

In fact, in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com,  he also threatened to leave the United States to go to a smaller island company if Republican John McCain was elected president in 2008.

He said 13 years ago, “I’m definitely a fan of Barack Obama. I think he’s young, sharp, motivational, inspirational. He makes you want to be American again; he makes you proud to be American. McCain is pulling some nice stuff, especially with the Vice President pick with Palin. It’s like Palin done took over all the media. It was a good move on the Republican side to snatch the media away from Barack Obama. But I’m hoping he will prevail. Because if John McCain gets in office it looks like I’ll be moving to the Dominican Republic.”

He continued, “I don’t think Jesus Christ could come down and fix the state of America right now.”

Did Twitter Boss Jack Dorsey Offer to Buy Facebook After Social Media Giant Wiped Its Existence Off The Face of the Earth?

By now, everyone knows that Facebook is — at the very least — down.

But is there a possibility that it may have a new owner altogether?

During the Great Facebook Extinction Event, a tweet began circulating on Twitter that alleged that facebook.com (the domain name itself) is up for sale.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, sensing an opportunity, only had one question:

Based on what software engineers are sharing on Twitter, Facebook isn’t just down. It’s actually completely gone.

https://twitter.com/BenjaminEnfield/status/1445104389014835213?s=20

CNN noted that the social giant’s disappearance has rather strange timing. It comes less than 24 hours after the 60 Minutes interview with the so-called “whistleblower,” Frances Haugen, “claimed the company is aware of how its platforms are used to spread hate, violence, and misinformation, and that [the company] has tried to hide that evidence.”

Naturally, the company denied the claims.

Also, according to another report from Bloomberg, Mark Zuckerberg lost more than $6 billion in personal wealth in just a few hours. (That’s gotta hurt.)

In addition to Facebook, itself, being down, its sister apps Whatsapp and Instagram are also not working. That’s caused a huge influx of users to rush to Twitter — though, as of this writing, the “Fail Whale” has not yet made its grand return.

Philly’s, Forrest Reigns Unleashes New Single “Stuck”

Omilio Sparks of State Property has a son named Forrest Reigns that is catching a buzz!!!

Check out this new video from Philly’s Forrest Reigns as he unleashes the new single, “Stuck.” There aren’t many artists in Hip Hop these days that are willing to take risks and set a new tone. That isn’t a problem for the Chester, PA prodigy Forrest Reigns who’s latest single is a mix of commercial melodies with heartfelt lyrics.

Ironically the Philadelphia rapper is the son of Omillio Sparks. Although he has been creating a buzz of his own, Hip-Hop fans might remember Omilio Sparks had a run with rap collective State Property which was led by Beanie Sigel and signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records.

Despite his father’s place in Hip-Hop history, his unique style sets him apart from his PA contemporaries and the new EP “Embrace” that will be dropping this Fall has already piqued many musical enthusiasts’ interest with powerful releases like “Knock” which features Reese Youngn. Others see signs of Hip Hop royalty and the pedigree to be a storyteller with his creativity on songs like “Superior.”

“I wrote the song Stuck because of my ‘on again, off again’ relationship with an ex-jawn,” Forrest said. “My upcoming EP will be a very musically diverse project”.

Snoop Dogg Invites Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Delicious Thanksgiving Dinner

Despite being a prince, Harry’s life has gotten more exciting after he married Meghan Markle.

Sure, he might miss being the ruler of all of Great Britain and having crumpets with Queen Elizabeth, but wouldn’t you change all of that to have Thanksgiving Dinner with Snoop Dogg?

That’s actually royally cool.

According to the tabloid Mirror, the King of the West Coast Snoop Dogg has invited the former Duke of Sussex and his lovely wife to celebrate the American holiday at his compound.

Snoop is alleged to have told Hazza, a mutual friend between the two parties, “I said Prince Harry had big balls when he didn’t invite Trump to his wedding. And now, for real, I say he’s got an even bigger set of balls.”

This statement is in reference to him leaving the royal family to have a life out of the spotlight, where he can emotionally and psychologically support his Black wife and children.

The two have alleged that his family and the British media have been displayed racist behavior toward them over the years.

“Him and Meghan are living their lives like they want and that can’t be an easy thing with the whole world judging them,” it is said that Snoop marveled.

“They got to live life their way – they get a lot of respect from me for that,” the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” chart-topper shared. “If they want to come over for Thanksgiving dinner they are in for something special. They can come over to Snoop’s crib.”

It is said that Snoop has a few tricks up his sleeve in the kitchen.

He was taught to cook by celebrity chef and tv star, Gordon Ramsay and exchanges tips with Martha Stewart, with who he had a cooking show on VH1 with.

Let’s hope the dinner is more traditional than the meals he made on “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Party Challenge.”

Foogiano Proposes To Renni Rucci From Jail

Rapper Foogiano is showing up a whole bunch of guys with his birthday gift to his girl Renni Rucci.

Not only did he shower her with gifts upon gifts (including a proposal with some bling), but he did it all from jail.

Some women cannot get their man to pick up a card on their way home from work on their birthday, but Gucci Mane’s 1017 recording artist figured out how to coordinate the perfect 30th birthday surprise for Renni Rucci his now-fiancée.

Renni Rucci, who is also a rapper, shared the exciting news online. Over the weekend, she posted a few videos to show how her man loves her.

He had delivered to her a box of chocolate-covered strawberries, a bouquet of flowers, and a big old Louboutin box from his prison cell. In addition to that, he asked her to marry him — complete with a gigantic diamond engagement ring.

Her caption on her Instagram said, “Best birthday ever! #dirtythirty from a girlfriend to fiancee @foogiano.”

The “Love and Hip Hop” star began dating Mr. Romantic last year after reportedly meeting on Instagram.

Shortly afterward, Foogiano was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He received a release from jail with a $50,000 bail and an ankle monitor to track his comings and goings.

He was restricted to stay inside of the state of Georgia.

However, Foogiano burned the ankle monitor off his leg and went on the lamb. In March was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee, by the feds.

He was sentenced to five years in prison in May for his previous charges.

Well, we called him Mr. Romantic, not Boy Scout Of The Year.

Cops Seek Skateboarding Punk Who Vandalized George Floyd Memorial In Union Square

A recently unveiled statue of George Floyd located in Union Square Park, NYC was vandalized, and police are looking for the culprit.

Someone, who fled away on a skateboard, splashed the statue with black paint. It was intentional as the Floyd bust is one of three in the exhibition — and the only one targeted.

Created by artist Chris Carnabuci, the exhibition is titled “See Injustice” and includes Floyd, civil rights leader John Lewis, and Breonna Taylor. Unveiled to the public last week, it didn’t take long before thugs could vandalize the thoughtful and beautiful tributes.

Monday morning, Oct. 4 (around 10:00 am), witnesses say that a male suspect threw paint on the statue of Floyd and skateboarded off.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, in 2020, the violent police-involved death of George Floyd captured on video prompted an international movement (led primarily by the concept of Black Lives Matter) that focused on the abuse that people of color face at the hands of police.

Immediately afterward, a crew was brought in to restore the art.

This is the second time that a piece dedicated to George Floyd was vandalized by a black splash of paint in New York.

In June, after the 11-foot-bust was unveiled in Brooklyn for Juneteenth, someone did the same thing.

In a statement, Carnabuci and the We are Floyd organization stated, “It takes a lot of courage to display the three statues we are exhibiting in Union Square. It also takes a good deal of courage to vandalize a statue on a global stage in broad daylight. This continues to bring light to our mission that art is a conversation catalyst, a place for public discourse, and through these acts, we can hopefully overcome hate and find unity for the future. We continue to be inspired to create and display public art to further this important mission.”

The police are looking for the vandal and asking for support in the efforts.

Also, the tribute George Floyd has been restored.

Deyjah Harris Takes Issue With Social Media Users Mentioning T.I. & Tiny

Clifford “T.I.” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Harris spent the last decade introducing their extended family to the public through reality shows like T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle and T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.

One of the stars of Family Hustle is tired of social media users mentioning T.I. and Tiny in reply to her tweets. After posting photos of her birth mother, Ms. Niko, on Twitter, 20-year-old Deyjah Harris addressed some of the people on the platform.

“Man, why y’all gotta bring up my pops and stepmom [every time] I post my mom? Do those thoughts really need to be tweeted/said out loud? Why we can’t just enjoy the photos of her without some people bringing my other parents up…. just chill. Everyone is happy so it don’t matter,” tweeted Deyjah Harris on Sunday.

One user responded, “Baby, this is Twitter… [you’re] better off getting a photo album and pasting your pics there if you ever want to share your memories without unwarranted feedback.”

That tweet caused Deyjah Harris to write, “It doesn’t matter if it’s Twitter or not. I’m not under people’s [posts sharing] my unwarranted feedback and I get it, everyone isn’t me but there shouldn’t be a comparison between my 2 beautiful mothers. It’s ridiculous either way and sad… very sad and incogitant on their end.”

She later added, “It’s ok, nothing I’m not used to but they literally only do this when I post my mom lol. Like when I post my pops, don’t nobody ever mention my mom so why are they mentioning him + Tiny under her posts? Just ridiculous tbh smh.”

Deyjah’s Birth Mother Had A Problem With T.I. Talking About Her Daughter’s Hymen

Two years ago, Ms. Niko seemed to subtly address T.I. telling the Ladies Like Us podcast he would go with a teenage Deyjah to the gynecologist in order to make sure her hymen is still intact. T.I. and Ms. Niko later spoke about the virginity controversy on the rapper’s expediTIously podcast.

In addition, T.I. and Tiny have found their names in a lot of news headlines over the last eight months. Several women across the country accused the celebrity couple of drugging, rape, kidnapping, and other sex-related crimes.

The Los Angeles Police Department reportedly opened an investigation into the Harrises. However, the LA County District Attorney’s office decided not to pursue criminal charges in that case. Both T.I. and Tiny have maintained all of the sexual misconduct allegations against them are untrue.

‘Donda’ Collaborator Vory Reacts To Kanye West Flying Commercial

“Sorry I’m in pajamas, but I just got off the PJ,” raps Kanye West on the 2011 song “Gotta Have It.” It appears the 22-time Grammy winner does not only fly by private jet.

According to Canadian musician Goody Grace, Kanye West traveled on a commercial flight over the weekend. Grace posted a Twitter photo with West on Sunday evening.

“It’s not [every day] you’re boarding a flight to start your first headline tour in 3 years & have a great conversation with a legend. Shout out the goat @kanyewest & the universe for these moments,” tweeted Goody Grace.

Other pictures of Kanye West at Los Angeles International Airport emerged on social media too. Many fans were shocked to see the billionaire walking among other travelers.

DreamChasers recording artist Vory shared his thoughts on Kanye West’s LAX excursion. Apparently, West told people beforehand that he was planning to pass up on the PJ for his latest trips.

“Nah 😭Ye told me he been traveling solo commercial on some normal s###. Thought he was capping. 😭,” wrote Vory on his Instagram Story. The Houston-born, Louisville-raised rhymer appeared on Kanye West’s “No Child Left Behind” track off the Donda album.

Vory also dropped a self-titled project in December 2020 which featured his DreamChasers label boss Meek Mill. The Lucky Me EP creator is also credited as a co-writer for “Friends” by The Carters (Jay-Z & Beyoncé) as well as “Mob Ties” by Drake.

Akon Apologizes For Saying Famous & Rich People Have More Issues Than Poor People

About a month ago, Akon expressed his views about being rich versus being poor. While speaking about the passing of The Wire star Michael K. Williams, Akon addressed the plight of the wealthy.

“Dude, the famous and the rich go through more issues than the poor,” stated Akon at the time. “They say, ‘More money, more problems.’ That’s a real thing.”

Now, Akon is addressing the backlash over those comments. The Senegalese-American singer once again spoke to TMZ about the topic of the haves and the have-nots.

“It’s not really more so a walk back, but what I do want to express is that sometimes when comments like that are made – I always speak according to what I’m personally going through myself,” Akon explained. “Nobody can sit there and tell me I didn’t go through poverty.”

The “I Wanna Love You” hitmaker added, “I’m having more problems successfully dealing with all that comes with success than I had when I was poor. I was actually happier when I was poor.”

Akon went on to offer an apology to anyone who was offended by his original words. He said, “I would apologize to those that felt that comment affected or emotionally put them in a position that made it make seem like I was arrogant because that’s not the way I wanted to come off.”

Additionally, Akon recently found himself in social media users’ crosshairs after R. Kelly was convicted of multiple sex-related federal racketeering charges. The 48-year-old entertainer/entrepreneur suggested Kelly had the right to redeem himself for his decades-long criminal activity involving underage girls.

Did Summer Walker Tease The Release Date For Her ‘Hard Drive’ Album?

Summer Walker established herself as a rising musician to keep an eye on with her debut studio LP Over It. That 2019 effort, released via Love Renaissance (LVRN)/Interscope, broke the record for the biggest on-demand streaming week for a female R&B artist.

It appears Summer Walker is close to dropping her sophomore album. Fans of the 25-year-old singer-songwriter noticed a possible release date on her Instagram Story.

Summer Walker attended the Atlanta Falcons versus Washington Football Team game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday. While her hometown squad lost to the team from DC, Walker did seem to use Falcons merchandise to suggest her Hard Drive album was coming in November.

One Instagram Story post featured a photo of two Falcons jerseys. One jersey had “S. Walker” on the back with the number 11. The other jersey showed “Hard Drive” as the name and 05 as the number.

This led to speculation that Friday, November 5 is the official release date for Summer Walker’s forthcoming Hard Drive album. As of press time, there has not been any official confirmation about when Hard Drive will hit DSPs.

Summer Walker Also Teases An Announcement For The Anniversary Of ‘Over It’

Today (October 4) also happens to be the 2-year anniversary of Over It being released. Yesterday, Walker wrote on Instagram, “Tomorrow (10/4) is the anniversary of my debut album Over It! So go ahead and turn your alerts on cause I got something to tell y’all!”

Since the arrival of Over It in 2019, the Atlanta-based LVRN music label signed a new publishing partnership deal with Warner Chappell Music which included Summer Walker extending her agreement with the Warner Music Group subsidiary.

Summer Walker ended 2020 by contributing to LVRN’s 9-track Home For The Holidays. The compilation featured 6LACK, Westside Boogie, Shelley (fka DRAM), OMB Bloodbath, Eli Derby, Young Rog, and BRS Kash as well.

The last two years have also seen Summer Walker collaborate with 21 Savage for “Secret,” Trey Songz for “Back Home,” Sam Smith for “You Will Be Found,” Justin Bieber for “Yummy (Remix),” and Toosii for “Love Cycle.”

First Week Sales Projections For Meek Mill’s ‘Expensive Pain’ Album Are In

Will Meek Mill add another #1 album to his catalog? The Philadelphia-bred rap star’s latest album, Expensive Pain, may come up short of reaching the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is likely to block Meek Mill from the pole position. The re-released project from 2008 is expected to pull in over 130,000 units this week.

In contrast, Expensive Pain is on pace to move 85,000-95,000 first-week units. Meek Mill is said to be in a tight race for #2 with his former rival Drake. The Toronto native’s Certified Lover Boy has led the rankings for three weeks, so far.

Expensive Pain was released three years after Meek Mill’s second No. 1 album Championships. 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money also debuted at #1.

Championships and Dreams Worth More Than Money are both certified Platinum by the RIAA. Meek Mill also earned Gold plaques for 2012’s Dreams and Nightmares and 2017’s Wins & Losses.

For Expensive Pain, Meek Mill enlisted Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Kehlani, A$AP Ferg, Moneybagg Yo, Giggs, Young Thug, Vory, Lil Uzi Vert, and Brent Faiyaz as guest features. Cardo, Nick Papz, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, Vinylz, and others provided the production.

“Now I’m back in the studio smoking freely. I’m not on probation. It unlocked the real art side of me, really new flows, new melodies, being more vulnerable, more personal,” said Meek Mill about making Expensive Pain.

The Dreamchasers label founder added, “I think the people going to be able to identify when they hear this album. I got a lot of energy but I’m not screaming on a lot of records. You can hear me more clear because I’m expressing myself.”

Lil Fizz Apologies to Omarion For Dating His Ex: B2K & Apryl Jones React

When Lil Fizz started dating Apryl Jones, the mother of his former bandmate Omarion’s two kids, the internet pretty much unanimously condemned the couple. Many feathers were ruffled! It was rumored that the resulting friction caused B2K to be removed from the second “Millenium Tour.”

However, during the opening night of the “Millennium Tour” at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday (Oct. 1) Fizz addressed the issue head-on. After reuniting with his fellow B2K band members Omarion, J-Boog, and Raz-B, Lil Fizz took the stage to deliver what some would say is a well overdue public apology to Omarion.

As Omarion approached him Lil Fizz declared: “I don’t think it would be right if I didn’t take this moment, bro, to publicly apologize to yo.”

“I did some f##### up s### to my brother,” Fizz said, as the crowd cheered. “I did some snake ass s###, and I’m not proud of it. So, I want to sit here humbly and sincerely apologize to you for any turmoil or dysfunction I caused between you and your family.”

Omarion took to his Twitter account later that day to post the short message, “Bigger man.”

B2K also responded as a group on their official Instagram account congratulating Lil Fizz for taking accountability for his actions.

“It takes a real man to apologize in front of the world and admit their wrongs,” the comment wrote. “The winners of last night. #Boys4Life.”

Following the on-stage apology, the two bandmates hugged it out and put on a show for their fans.

At the weekend, the lady at the center of all the drama also took to her social media. Lil Fizz and Omarion’s ex, Apryl Jones was seemingly unbothered by the reunion or the apology.

TLC Postpone Tour Dates After T-Boz Suffers Allergic Reaction

TLC has been on a nationwide tour with Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, to commemorate their hit sophomore album ‘CrazySexyCool.” However, fans hoping to attend the upcoming dates in two Texas cities will have to wait a little longer to see the show.

On Saturday (October 2) the group announced that the Houston show wouldn’t be going down that day and informed fans of the new date.

“TLC has rescheduled the Saturday, October 2nd show at the Smart Financial Center in Houston, TX to Monday, October 4th.”

Giving reasons for the postponement the note continued: “Due to extreme cigarette and recreational smoke being present backstage at a previous show, T-Boz suffered an allergic reaction. The group has always enforced a strict no smoking policy at their shows in an effort to prevent any health related issues for the group and/or crew.”

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date,” the venue confirmed on Twitter.

TLC then announced that a second date would also be rescheduled: “TLC has rescheduled the Sunday, October 3rd show at the Pavilion at Toyota Music in Irving, TX to Tuesday, October 5th. We are so excited to see all our TLC fans there!!!”

T-Boz (Tionne Watkins) and Chilli (Rozonda Thomas) have been on tour since early September. T-Boz, diagnosed with sickle cell anemia as a child, spoke earlier this year about how the autoimmune disease affects how she manages her tour schedule.

“Early on, it wasn’t managed at all,” she said. “That’s why I ruined every tour and got sick every time.” T-Boz said she now works with her team to prevent any issues from arising.

“Everything is strategically planned out, as far as how long travel is, what days I’m off, and what cities we do or don’t go to,” she said.
