T.I. And Domani Challenge Any Father And Son Rap Duo To A Battle

There are a lot father/son duos in Hip-Hop, but not many of them are what one would consider popping.

T.I. and Domani seem to know that and have posted up a challenge up to any of them to rock the mic for the title of the “Flyest Father and Son Duo” in the culture.

In a video from a Juneteenth concert that has now gone viral on TikTok the Grand Hustle executive and his distinguished offspring proved why they are formidable.

Domani raps, “remember when you showed me half a mil in a shoebox. I told you I wanted to rap so you put me up on Big and Tupac. We came a long way …”

T.I. says, “You know, we are officially the flyest father and son duo in Hip-Hop.”

“You know, I have to say that,” he continued. “We take all comers. You dig what I’m saying. Anyone that say we ain’t just show up and show out.”

The young Harris asks his dad if he has to leave and his dad tells him, “Nah, I can stay around!” That’s great for the fans, because we get to see a back and forth that makes real rap enthusiasts excited about a possible collaboration — like a real project.

But until then … let’s see who hops in the #FatherSonChallenge. Drop your favorite father and son rap video!

Soulja Boy And Bow Wow Verzuz Drew Over 700,000 People, But Who Won? Check The Round-By-Round Recap

After months of anticipation, the highly anticipated versus battle between Bow Wow and Soulja Boy took place tonight (June 26).

Despite a few months of friendly hostility and playful insults between the “Mr 106” and “Big Draco” kept the competition relatively friendly as almost 700,000 people turned in to watch them duke it out.

Soulja Boy kicked it off with some fire right out of the gate, with his latest hit, “She Make It Clap.” But Bow Wow was ready and shot back with an energetic performance of his hit song “Jumpin Jumpin” by Destiny’s Child featuring Jermaine Dupri and DaBrat.

Soulja Boy replied with one of the best-known songs from his catalog “Turn My Swag On,” while Bow Wow shot back with his verse on the remix of “Run It” by Chris Brown.

“I like that, but I feel like you emptied your clip early and we got a long night Bow Wow said.

Soulja Boy dropped “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” featuring Sammie, and Bow Wow fired back with his 2000 hit “Bounce With Me” featuring Xscape.

Next up, Soulja Boy played “Pretty Boy Swag,” from his 2010 album The DeAndre Way, while Bow Wow followed up by playing his song “I’m A Flirt” featuring R. Kelly from the rapper’s 2006 album The Price of Fame.

Soulja played “She Make It Clap” again but this time he played a remix of the song featuring Nicki Minaj. Bow Wow clowned Soulja for repeating his records, claiming he was running out of material, and played his 2006 song “Shortie Like Mine” featuring Johntá Austin and Chris Brown.

Soulja played “She Make It Clap” for the third time but this time he brought a special guest for this rendition: French Montana. Bow Wow followed up with a thumper from the “Like Mike” soundtrack, ”Bow Wow (That’s My Name).”

Soulja dropped his 2007 song “Yahhh!” featuring Arab, while Bow Wow played some heat from his catalog with his 2003 track “Let’s Get Down” featuring Cash Money boss, Bryan “Birdman” Williams.

Soulja Boy shot back with his 2007 “BAPES,” and Bow Wow came back with a smooth R&B song “Girlfriend” featuring Omarion.

Next up, Soulja Boy broke out his song “Gucci Bandana” featuring Shawty Lo and Gucci Mane, while Bow Wow dropped another song from the “Like Mike” soundtrack, “Take Ya Home.”

Soulja followed up with his hit song “Donk,” while Bow Wow played his verse from the remix to Huey’s#### song “Pop Lock And Drop It.”

Soulja Boy repeated once again, but understandably so, when he dropped the remix to “Donk” featuring Nicki Minaj.

During a break, Bow Wow attacked special guest DJ Akademiks who was sitting in as a special guest with Soulja Boy.

Soulja Boy played a song he produced by Nicki Minaj called “Yas Bishhh,” while Bow Wow went deep into his catalog once again with his song 2002 song “Basketball” from “Like Mike.”

Soulja Boy dropped his slapper “All The Way Turnt Up” with Roscoe Dash, and Bow Wow didn’t lack in his reply, with the verse from “Where The Party At’ taken from Jagged Edge’s 2001 album Jagged Little Thrill.

Next up was “LOL :-)” by Trey Songz with Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy, while Bow Wow followed with his rap balled, “Outta My System” featuring T-Pain and Johntá Austin.

Soulja dropped one of his hardest songs, “Let Me Get Em,” while Bow Wow came back strong with special guests Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, and Pimpin from Dem Franchise Boyz with the remix to the classic rap song “I Think They Like Me.”

Soulja Boy dropped his epic song “We Made It” with Drake, even though it took almost 5 minutes to get to his verse.

“You’ll eventually get a song with Drake,” Bow Wow told Soulja Boy, before dropping his song “Side 2 Side” with the legendary Three 6 Mafia.

Soulja Boy brought out another special guest, rap star/actor Lil Romeo, who performed a quick medley of his old hits, including the hit “My Baby.”. Bow Wow came back with “Fresh Az I’m Iz” featuring Mike Jones.

After almost an hour of waiting, Soulja Boy finally dropped his massive 2007 hit single “Soulja Boy Tell’em – Crank That (Soulja Boy).” Bow Wow tried to reply with his song 2005 song “Let Me Hold You” featuring Omarion.

Bow Wow took over with another special guest and frequent collaborator Omarion and the battle ended on a high note as Soulja and Bow performed their 2008 song “Marco Polo” together as a fitting end to their Verzuz battle.

The pair gave each other some big respect at the end of the battle.

“I got to say my brother deserves every inch of respect. I think after tonight if they already didn’t know they know now. It’s been a pleasure to do this. I never planned on doing a Verzuz, til s### got real. And you reached out and we did it. My brother you a legend. You culturally shifted the game. And you a GOAT for that,” Bow Wow told Soulja Boy.

“You already know bro, if it wasn’t for you bro I wouldn’t be into the game. I was in the trenches in the hood, looking at you on TV, like “bro” If I get in the game I could do my thing. Now I’m standing on stage, and we’re doing this together. Much love you already know,” Soulja Boy told Bow Wow.

Travis Scott’s Fashion Line Launch With Dior Turns Into A Full-Fledged Riot

Travis Scott, in almost everything that he does, causes just as much havoc as the Beatles in the 60s.

It is true, just ask luxury fashion brand Christian Dior.

The rap god launched a collection with the French company during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris and a riot broke out, outside of the venue.

The clothing was beautiful and curated with class and style, but the ruffians that could not get into the limited audience (a measly 500 people) were acting as hood Compton flea market.

WWD reports, “The event drew a large crowd outside, which surged forward and knocked over a security barrier when the singer left the venue, forcing him to retreat back inside — before re-emerging to commune with his fans in an impromptu street mosh pit.”

But yesterday was about the clothes — not the weird Parians.

Scott used his Texas influences to help create the new look: psychedelic influences, from the sun-bleached pastels and acid green of the color palette to the giant mushrooms and cacti dotting the desert-like set.

He said, “The cactus is one of my enduring inspirational plants. It’s a label and a movement, an idea and an inspiration that we try to instill and keep moving, trying to help the world with new design and inspirational experiences.”

Scott even told the people at the time that his middle name is Jacques and that his mother is calls him Baby Jack, which is where his nickname come from. Everything that he is doing seems to go back to his roots.

Dior sees that too.

Kim Jones, from the brand says that Christian Dior actually first went to Texas in 1947, “We’ve basically done the reverse journey via Travis.”

EXCLUSIVE: Talib Kweli Says Black Star Finding Alternative Ways To Distribute New Album

Rapper Yasiin Bey has urged fans to quit pestering him about the long-awaited Black Star sophomore album, because he wants to make the release financially worthwhile.

The artist formerly known as Mos Def and his Black Star partner Talib Kweli have been working on and off on the follow-up to 1998’s critically acclaimed project, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star for decades, but the album has yet to receive a release date.

Talib Kweli told AllHipHop.com that the hold up is centered around remaining in control of the new Black Star album and avoiding the traditional distribution channels like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and others.

“Black Star as a group we most likely will not be putting our music out through the DSPs (Spotify, Apple, Tidal) because Black Star as a group, we feel like the DSPs are not fair to artists,” Talib Kweli told AllHipHop.com. “And so we are exploring ways in which, in this era where artists are taking back the power from the distribution chains and the labels and say no ‘that’s our s### give us our s### back.’

“In this era where artists are putting out NFTs and artists are having their own websites and doing like what Roc Marciano’s doing, we as Black Star don’t feel like we need to prostitute ourselves or sell ourselves short in order to get our music to the consumers or to the fans. So we are working on ways to creatively get this Black Star album out without being taken advantage of,” Talib Kweli told AllHipHop.com.

During an appearance on Kweli’s People’s Party podcast, the “Get By” hitmaker revealed the material is just about ready to go.

“To people who don’t know, Madlib has produced the whole next Black Star record and I’m excited about it,” Kweli said. “It sounds great.”

Yasiin Bey, who has long voiced his issues with the music industry’s pay structure for streaming and concerns about free downloads, refuses to have their work exploited. He also indicated he won’t approve the release until they are properly compensated for their efforts.

“It’s not about streaming, that’s not the problem,” explained Bey, as he joined Kweli for the chat.

“It’s about, you mean to tell me that the source of labor at the center of this experience is supposed to be satisfied and grateful with receiving a portion of a penny for their efforts and labor? Now, whoever else is happy with that, then that’s you. You can take your labor to the market however you see fit, but when it relates to something that I’m doing and that I’ve been doing, I don’t have to ask you n##### (for) permission. I don’t have to get your understanding.

“And if I’m ambivalent or like, ‘I don’t know, something about it just don’t feel right,’ and I’m searching for a better way to do it, that’s completely my volition. I’m not here to be run by the audience’s expectations because I have my own needs. You have your own needs.”

Bey then lashed out at those badgering him about the delayed project.

“I appreciate your enthusiasm, but that s### is not a steering wheel in my back for you to start spinning and doing donuts like I’m disappointing you,” he vented.

“If you want the next Black Star album that bad, then you make it. So just chill out until we get the s### sorted out ’cause who the f### is more essential to Black Star than Black Star?”

“Stop knocking on the f###### kitchen door talking about, ‘When is it coming?,’ when none of y’all n##### can cook. At all,” he fumed.

Lil Gotit Talks Top Chef Gotit, Song w/ Future, & Newfound Sobriety

Atlanta has been the hub for many greats in the rap game and Lil Gotit is here to carry that torch. Coming up as part of the YSL family under Young Thug and Gunna, with his blood brother Lil Keed by his side, the Atlanta rapper has been putting in the work, creating nothing short of bangers for his growing fanbase.

Exploding onto the scene with his viral smash “Da Real HoodBabies,” which received a standout remix with Lil Baby, Lil Gotit quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the rap game. Since then he’s released project after project, leading up to the most recent Top Chef Gotit.

The 15-track album taps the usual suspects as features: Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Keed, but also reels in Nav for fan-favorites “Burnt N Turnt” and “Collages” with Millie Go Lightly.

In fact, Gunna executive produced Top Chef Gotit, a project that marks a new chapter for Lil Gotit who recently quit all drugs and alcohol.

AllHipHop: How have you been holding up? It’s been a minute!

Lil Gotit: It’s been a long ass time, that s### was 2 to 3 years ago.
I’m good, I’ve just been working. I’m in LA. It’s hot as hell. I ain’t go outside, I’ve been in the house all day. I’m going to Gunna’s s### later on. He got a big ass party for his birthday, that m########### gon’ be vibed out.

AllHipHop: You slowed down on the drugs and partying right?

Lil Gotit: Hell yeah, I’ve been chillin’. Sober as hell, I don’t do nothing. I feel good though. Especially at the rate I was at, it’s crazy because I straight stopped. The day before, I was geeked up, but the next day I just stopped. Straight stopped, for the rest of the day I didn’t do nothing. Since then, I didn’t do nothing.

AllHipHop: How did you have that discipline to just stop? A lot of people have a hard time quitting.

Lil Gotit: S### easy though, you won’t believe that it’s easy. You gotta do it, you can’t act like that. If they saying they can’t do it, they’re junkies. I’m showing I ain’t trippin’, I don’t need to get high. That’s something I was just doing, but I ain’t need it.

AllHipHop: Was there a turning point that made you stop?

Lil Gotit: Really, I was going too hard. I was really on too much. Nah, I’m chillin’. I can’t do that, so I stopped doing that s###.

AllHipHop: Why are you the Top Chef?

Lil Gotit: I have the best thing serving around this m###########, I’m cooking the best heat! I got the best s### going. S###, Top Chef.

AllHipHop: How’s it feel to have the Top Chef Gotit project out?

Lil Gotit: Man, that whole project was stressful as hell. I’ve been ready to drop, I haven’t dropped in a year. It’s stressful. Bruh, I’m so ready. There was a lot going on with the project, I said “I’ma put this s### out. I’m already working on some other s###, I’m ready to put this out.” That s### is stressful.

AllHipHop: Do you feel unstressed now that it’s out?

Lil Gotit: Hell nah. I do a little bit but, it’s onto the next one. I’m onto the next one. My other s### called The Turnt Slime. Hell yeah, Gotit the Turnt Slime too. He’s the over Turnt Slime.

AllHipHop: What’d it mean to have Gunna executive produce the project?

Lil Gotit: That s###’s hard. He knows my music like I know my music. His brain with my brain put together made every song on that m########### hard. Folks like to hear, they say “this the best Gotit album I’ve ever heard.” My next album is even harder than Top Chef, that one’s way harder.

AllHipHop: Any features on the new project?

Lil Gotit: I’m trying to decide right now, I really don’t want no features on my next album. I want everybody to hear what I’m doing, so I’ll probably go no features on this album. Straight game, all me.

AllHipHop: Bring us back to the studio session for “Get N Dere Gang.”

Lil Gotit: “I’m with the Get N Dere Gang! You gon’ die if you look at this chain.” [raps lyrics] That s###’s hard. It’s really my song, I just sent it to Keed and Yak. I did it one night when I was in LA. Boom, I did the song. When I did it, I didn’t even like that m###########. I did the hook, but I never did the verse to it. I sent it to my brother Keed, sent it to Yak and he put a verse on there. Ever since then, we’ve been playing it. Everybody’s f###### with it so I put it on the album.

AllHipHop: Someone asked, where’s the Keed and Gotit album?

Lil Gotit: It’s coming, we’ve been working. We’ve been working on it for damn near 2 years now. We really focused on the music part. We’re waiting on him, he’s finna drop Keed Talk to ‘Em 2. I want him to drop his joint, I drop mine Turnt Slime, then we’ll go joint tape.

AllHipHop: It’s crazy you’re the one that taught Keed how to rap!

Lil Gotit: Yeah. For a second in the beginning, I wasn’t even rapping. I was on some real playful ass rapping in the beginning of my career. I went from playful rapping, but he’s been walking. I turn around, he just started walking. His ass hard, Keed hard. When I became sober, I started really sitting down and putting my music together. My songs, my lyrics, all types of s###.

AllHipHop: Are you making better music, now that you’re sober?

Lil Gotit: Hell yeah, because I take my time. I don’t record everyday, I record every month. I try to record 2 times every month, ‘cause I don’t want to burn out. I gotta do something for a whole month, then I have something to talk about.

AllHipHop: What do you do the other 28 days of the month?

Lil Gotit: A whole lot of s###, I’m outside. I’m doing something. I gotta have something to talk about. I can’t sit in the studio making 12 songs about something I’m not doing right then. I’m not doing that right now. Even so, I put that together. These rappers be in the studio all day putting these songs together, talking about s### they ain’t doing right now. I’m doing what I do, then I go to the studio and rap.

AllHipHop: How long do you record for?

Lil Gotit: I’ll get a session for the whole day. After I make a couple songs, chill, leave, come back. Make a couple more songs, then be done. I try not to burn out.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Lil Gotit: See I’m sober though, so I don’t need nothing. I need my engineer. My engineer gotta be ready, he gotta be vibed out. We need some vibes. That’s all I need, I don’t know about nobody else. I don’t even need nobody, I really like recording by myself. When folks enter, they don’t know how to shut up. They want to keep opening the door, all types of stuff. I’d rather record by myself.

AllHipHop: You’re only 21, what do you like to do for fun?

Lil Gotit: Go-kart riding. I want to go bowling. I like finding s### to do. Sometimes when I’m in Atlanta, I just be in the hood. Other than that, going to the club. I’ve been at Shake Off Sundays, everybody pull up with them. I play basketball at the back of my manager’s house in LA. I like doing s### bro. Whatever the vibe is that day, I’ll do that s###.

AllHipHop: Have you been performing at all?

Lil Gotit: Nah, I didn’t do no performance. I’ve been focused on putting my album out. The first show I’ll be doing will be Rolling Loud in Miami. Rolling Loud will be piped up, I ain’t even gon’ cap. It be lit. I want to perform my song “I’m So Hi” at Rolling Loud. That m########### hard, go listen when we get off here.

AllHipHop: How crazy does the crowd go for “Da Real HoodBabies”?

Lil Gotit: That m########### forever hard. I didn’t perform that in so long but when I usually perform, them m############ be trippin’. I haven’t performed for a long time, I’ve really been in the studio working.

AllHipHop: How was it working with Nav?

Lil Gotit: Nav’s hard, that s### was fun. I want to shoot the video with him and Millie. I shot the video to “Burnt N Turnt” with Nav though, we shot it out here in LA.

AllHipHop: Best memory from that day?

Lil Gotit: They had this dumb ass trailer in the back, it was like the Magic School Bus. The best memory: I was slapping the hell out of the folks’ faces that came through the wall. In the part where me and Nav were standing, I was slapping on the faces that came through the thing and the producer was getting mad. Everybody was mad as hell.

AllHipHop: What are your favorite fashion brands?

Lil Gotit: I’ve been wearing Off-White a lot. I wear Off-White, the Purple Brand jeans. I like how they’re cut and how they fit. They got different designs. I wear Helmut Lang. I got folks that bring custom clothes. I got my own clothing brand getting made right now. It’s called Conley Road. I got samples going to be done soon. I’ma shoot some videos in it, then I’ma post them. Whensmokeclears.

AllHipHop: What happened to the snippet with Future?

Lil Gotit: Future got the song. He got the song, it’s in his hands. I ain’t got it in my hands, it’s in his hands. That m########### hard as hell though, no cap. That m########### hard as f###.

AllHipHop: How was that session?

Lil Gotit: That’s when I was drinking liquor, I was drunk as hell when I made that. It was me, Future, the engineer, a couple of his folks and my folks. We were in there locked in, made songs all night. He called me one night, said “where ya at?” I said “I’m in Atlanta,” I’d just came back from LA. He said pull up on me, I’m at the lab.” So I pull up, we locked in the whole night.

AllHipHop: Will there be a Hood Baby 3?

Lil Gotit: That’s some 2024 type s###. Nah 2023: Hood Baby 3. I’m going 2023, 2 years from now.

AllHipHop: Favorite song by yourself?

Lil Gotit: “Drip On.” That song is hard to hear.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

Lil Gotit: Top Chef Lil Gotit, we’re dropping videos every two weeks. Turnt Slime coming next!

Lil Pump Says He Has Made Over $15 Million; Dismisses $90,000 IRS Bill By Posting Flashy Jewelry

Rapper Lil Pump is denying reports that he owes Uncle Sam a hefty amount of money and back taxes.

Yesterday, it was reported that the “Gucci Gang” rap star owed around $90,000 in back taxes to the IRS.

The IRS recently put a lien against his $5 million 5-bedroom, 7 bath waterfront estate in Miami until he coughs up the bread for the tax bill, which is for earnings he made in 2019.

According to Lil Pump, $90,000 is peanuts to him.

“Listen, do not believe the internet, that s### is all cap breh,” Lil Pump said.

The rapper said he is made over $15 million throughout the course of his career, and he pointed to his pricey jewelry collection to prove his worth.

Lil Pump flashed a massive diamond bracelet on his wrist, which he said cost $90,000.

“That’s on my wrist right now,” Lil Pump bragged. “Another $90,000, that’s on my neck. Don’t play with my body.”

To further prove his point, Lil Pump showed off two diamond necklaces he said he bought just this week. His diamond-encrusted Cuban link necklace cost $50,000, and the other cost $40,000.

“Look, I done made over $15 million. You know what the tax bill is on $15 million? B#### $90,000 ain’t s### to me. Stop playing with my body,” Pump said flaunting his glistening ice.

“That’s tax-deductible b####…learn about that,” the rapper said.

Soulja Boy Bets His Lamborghini Against Bow Wow For Verzuz Battle

After weeks of promotion, the Bow Wow and Soulja Boy Verzuz is soon upon us … and just when we thought it was nothing more than either one of these guys to do to sell the fight … Soulja Boy starts the day with a six-figure bet.

The “Crank Dat” rapper has upped the ante this morning by betting his prized Lambo in the musical back-and-forth tonight which starts at 8:00pm.

He posted on Twitter, “I got my Lamborghini on the line today if Lil Pee wee win he can have it #TeamSouljaBoy.”

The lines are split!

Some diehard Bow Wow fans want to see him just desecrate the beautiful vehicle.

@Mc_1ovin replied, “I hope he wins and s#### on it, p##### on it and gives it back to you”

But some thought it just upped the ante and was there for it.

“Soulja just needs to drop Pretty Boy Swag and walk out the room” @theKayneG
posted.

“soulja boy is going to wash bow wow tonight & that’s all it is to
it.”

https://twitter.com/shyinsaturn/status/1408811638367600645?s=20

Still, Souljah was not done with his morning troll. He then added: “Bow wow shouldn’t you be hosting the Verzuz mr 106 n Park? not rapping in it”

And people seem to
agree!

Tekashi 69 Refusing To Help His Homeless Dad Despite Rapper’s Massive $20 Million Net Worth

Tekashi 69 has become fabulously wealthy since his release from prison in April of 2020.

By his accounting, Tekashi 69 has made over $20 million. He regularly boasts about his wealth, and frequently posts pictures to back it up.

Tekashi 69 has frequently shown off his impressive multi-million dollar jewelry collection, not to mention his fleet of luxury Lamborghinis, Bentleys worth millions.

But apparently, the rapper is a penny pincher and is refusing to share the wealth. His father, Daniel Hernandez Sr., is struggling and is flat broke – and homeless.

Daniel Hernandez Sr. revealed that he’s been homeless for the past two years, and has been begging his son for help.

“You think he’d come hook me up with something,” Tekashi 69’s dad said. “He’s been giving money to other people. He gives money to everybody. ‘Here, here, here,” tekashi69’s dad told the New York Post.

While it may come as a shock to some that Tekashi 69 is not offering his father any assistance, it is not too surprising. The rapper did not meet his dad until he was 9, because he was allegedly a heroin addict.

For now, Daniel Hernandez Sr. is living in a shelter for homeless people.

Meanwhile, Tekashi 69 just hopped off a private jet in Mexico, where he is slated to perform this weekend.

Fashion Nova CEO Targeted In Botched Robbery That Leads To Shootout And Death Of One Suspect

Urban fashion brand Fashion Nova has aligned itself with some of Hip-Hop’s most “hood” artists and now the CEO got a whole feel a little bit of the life that so many of the rappers they work with rap about.

According to TMZ, Richard Saghian, the chief operating officer for the clothing brand that has made deals with Cardi B and Megan thee Stallion and has been mentioned in songs by rappers like Remy Ma, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, French Montana, Lil Uzi Vert and more, was driving in the Hollywood Hills on his way home around 2 AM.

Hee was followed by three crooks. Luckily, Hee made it inside of his house just as three men jumped out of an Audi and started shooting at his Rolls-Royce.

Local police say that two men who were with Saghian were told to lay on the ground and run the jewels — and we are not talking about Killer Mike’s crew.

The clothing executive’s security detail exited his house and responded to the gunplay, after securing the money man. Witnesses say that they heard about ten shots.

One security guard was injured, another suspect was shot and critically wounded, while a third suspect was shot and killed.

The shootout came just two days after Megan Thee Stallion dropped her highly anticipated bikini collection with Fashion Nova.

EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Says Jay-Z Is “Frantic” And “Desperate” And Illegally Trying To Take Over Roc-A-Fella Records

Damon Dash is ready for war with Jay-Z over the album Reasonable Doubt and he’s calling BS on a lawsuit filed by his estranged business partner in Roc-A-Fella Records earlier this week.

Damon blasted Jay-Z 25 years to the day (June 25, 1996) Reasonable Doubt was released in a high-stakes battle over the album.

On June 22, Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro of the law firm Quinn Emanuel obtained a temporary restraining order against Damon Dash, preventing him from minting Reasonable Doubt as an NFT for sale.

In a court hearing earlier this week, Spiro claimed Damon was attempting to mint the album as an NFT for sale through a company called SuperFarm, in hopes of raking in $30 million in proceeds.

As proof, Jay’s lawyer presented Judge John Cronan with a copy of an unreleased press release as proof that Damon was illegally attempting to enrich himself at Roc-A-Fella’s expense, by auctioning off his interest in the copyright to Reasonable Doubt.

Damon has publicly denied the allegations, claiming he has been attempting to sell his 1/3 interest in Roc-a-Fella Records, which owns the rights to Reasonable Doubt.

Today, Damon Dash has formally called out Jay-Z in court in his response to the lawsuit.

Damon Dash accused his former business partner of violating the copyrights to the album as well, with his upcoming auction of the artwork of Reasonable Doubt on Sotheby’s slated for this July.

First off, Damon is asking Alex Spiro and the law firm of Quinn Emanuel to be barred from representing Roc-A-Fella in the lawsuit, claiming there is a conflict of interest since Alex Spiro is Jay-Z’s lawyer and not the legal counsel for the iconic record label.

Damon Dash says Jay-Z and Alex Spiro had no legal authority to send a cease and desist letter on behalf of Roc-A-Fella, since Damon is still the initial and sole director and CEO/President of Roc-A-Fella, while Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke are simply shareholders, who have never been appointed as an “officer, director or otherwise authorized party” to enter into contracts on behalf of the label.

Damon says Jay-Z is simply an artist and shareholder signed to the corporation, which owns the rights to Reasonable Doubt.

Damon maintains that as an undisputed 1/3 shareholder and Roc-A-Fella, he can sell, and/or transfer his shares without interference from the other shareholders in the label.

Damon says in March of 2020, he wanted to sell his interest in Roc-A-Fella Records and Jay-Z attempted to purchase the interest, but Damon Dash refused his lowball offer.

Damon claims Jay-Z was extremely upset because the rapper owns all the copyrights to all of his albums – except for Reasonable Doubt.

Damon says he never planned to sell the album as an NFT.

Instead, Damon said he was attempting to “mint a hologram,” which in turn would be a digital representation of his 1/3 interest in Roc-A-Fella, but he did not elaborate on the plan.

According to Damon, for reasons unknown, SuperFarm’s internal memos were somehow leaked, resulting in Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro sending the cease and desist letter, claiming they were counsel for Roc-A-Fella Records.

“By my count, Jay-Z with knowledge that he is not a director, officer or otherwise authorized party of RAF, has twice caused his personal attorneys to unlawfully take action as ‘counsel’ for RAF in an adverse way against me – once to tortiously interfere with my contractual relations with SuperFarm and the other to file this lawsuit, which effectively seeks to either prevent me from doing something I am lawfully allowed to do (so my 1/3 interest in RAF) or compel me to do something that is impossible (I never minted any NFT so there’s nothing to turnover). – Damon Dash.

Damon said Jay-Z is “desperate” and “frantically” trying to get his 1/3 interest in Roc-A-Fella Records. He maintains he is allowed to sell his 1/3 to “whoever, by any means and for whatever price.”

Damon Dash also says that on June 22nd, Jay-Z called a special Board of Directors Meeting, where he attempted to appoint himself as temporary director of Roc-A-Fella Records in a meeting which he labeled a “sham.”

Damon Dash says Jay-Z has caused him millions of dollars in damages by filing the lawsuit, yet he is selling his own NFT’s using Reasonable Doubt promotional material with Sotheby’s, which also infringes on Roc-A-Fella Records’ copyright to the album.

Jay-Z Selling “Reasonable Doubt” As An NFT Through Sotheby’s

Jay-Z is planning to shut the entire game down by auctioning his critically-acclaimed debut album, Reasonable Doubt as an NFT.

Yup, the same album that he blocked Dame Dash from capitalizing on earlier this week.

This non-fungible-token will be sold at Sotheby’s in celebration of the release’s 25th anniversary (June 25, 1996).

The Hip-Hop mogul has tapped Baltimore visual artist, Derrick Adams to create the artistic expression to accompany the sale.

This static image that is visible to the public is called “Heir to the Throne.” The cool connection between Reasonable Doubt, Jay-Z and Derrick Adams is the surprise Def Jam connection.

Reasonable Doubt NFT

Jay-Z had a joint venture deal between Roc-a-Fella/ Def Jam that put out the album and Adams’ cousin is Russell Simmons, the founder of the iconic brand.

In a statement, Adams shared his thoughts.

“With this NFT project, we jointly embrace the opportunity to further the conversation about how artists of different mediums contribute to a more inclusive society,” Adams stated.

“My portraits aim to capture the sensibility, optimism, and beauty of urban life, and in Jay’s work I’ve found tremendous kinship,” he concluded.

Jay may have found kinship with Adams, but he has severed that “familiar bond” with his former partner, Dame Dash.

Despite Damon Dash helping Jigga get put on, and in some people’s minds masterminding the early success of the Roc-a-Fella brand, he has not been allowed to capitalize on the project that he was so instrumental in blowing up.

A New York judge ruled that Damon has no right to sell the album or any rights to it.

At least this is going for the greater good; a portion will go to the Shawn Carter Foundation.

The bidding starts at $1,000, and the auction closes on Friday morning, July 2. It is already close to $10,000 by the publishing of this report.

“Sad Song” Is the Fredo Bang / FL Dusa Collab The Streets Waited For

After almost 90 days of freedom from the Feds FL Dusa has finally given the streets the Fredo Bang collab they’ve been clamoring for. Typical of street anthems, “Sad Song” is anything but. Instead the song serves as a warning for the loose-lipped and disrespectful, Baton Rouge classic – debuted on Fredo’s own channel.

“B#### I’ll turn a diss in to a sad song. B#### I’ll turn a diss in to your last song”

Baton Rouge native FL Dusa came out the pen swinging at the end of March with “1st Day Out” Parts One and Two and hasn’t stopped spitting since. He tells us he already has at least 3 mixtapes worth of material ready to go and the labels are watching. Expect tracks with more fellow Baton Rouge brethren like Kevin Gates, and also homies like Trapland Pat.

Keep ya eyes on the Gram and ya ear to the streets. You DON’T want to miss this.

Game Could Owe $12 Million For Endorsing Failed Cannabis Coin Paragon

The Game is back in some legal trouble again and this time it is for something he never touched or even saw.

The Compton rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, may have to dish out $12 million for endorsing a crypto firm, Paragon Coin Inc.

You may be saying, “So what! Mad rappers are getting into cryptocurrency.”

Well, apparently this company allegedly engaged in what is considered an “unregistered initial coin offering (ICO)” back in 2017. This is where The Game is pulled in, as he publicly backed the company on his social media, and his fans responded trusting his word.

According to Cointelegraph, “Paragon touted its PRG tokens as a currency for the cannabis industry and raised $70 million from the public between April 15, 2017, and Oct. 15, 2017.”

Paragon was founded by former beauty queen/reality TV show “star” Jessica VerSteeg and her husband, Russian entrepreneur Egor Lavrov.

Originally the case was filed in 2018, but the rapper was left unscathed as the plaintiff didn’t note the connection between Paragon and The Game in a clear way.

But things have changed.

United States Federal District Judge Jeffrey S. White noted in his verdict on an amended complaint that there is now has enough evidence to bring the “Hate It or Love It” rapper up on charges.

He said, “Taylor acted for his own gain or Paragon’s gain,” and thus held accountable as a part of the Paragon team which is accused of selling the coins as unregistered securities.

Judge White said that because he considers him a “statutory seller,” he is liable for $12 million-plus pre-and post-judgment interest.

As for VerSteeg and Lavrov, the pair have vanished – they have not been heard from since 2019.

When adding on to the $7 million Game owns to Priscilla Rainey, the rap star could be in the hole to the tune of an amazing $19 million.

EXCLUSIVE: Check Out Pictures Of Kanye West’s Wild Deposition In A Jesus Mask

AllHipHop has obtained images from Kanye West‘s wild deposition that went off the rails earlier this month.

The superstar rapper/producer/clothing designer is locked in a battle with a company called MyChannel. Lawyers for MyChannel claim Kanye reached an agreement, ripped off their proprietary technology.

The lawsuit claims Ye promised to invest $10 million into the brand, which allegedly did $7 million worth of work for Kanye, only to be stabbed in the back after the rapper supposedly stole the technology to form his own company called YZY Tech.

The alleged theft resulted in a $20 million battle between Kanye West and a black-owned technology company, MyChannel.

AllHipHop was the first outlet in the world to reveal that a deposition on June 3rd via Zoom turned into chaos, when Kanye refused to participate – to say the least.

Kanye became belligerent with MyChannel’s lawyer Michael Popok during the deposition, causing an “unmitigated disaster” of West’s “intentional creation.” During that time Kanye West refused to stop playing on his cell phone. He called MyChannel’s white lawyer “boy” a dozen times.

AllHipHop has once again obtained the contents of the sealed deposition, which lasted less than 10 minutes.

Almost 4 minutes into the deposition, Kanye West put on a “full face hood and head covering adorned with Jesus Christ’s image, which obscured his face and muffled his voice.”

Here are the pictures of Kanye during the deposition.

During the deposition, Kanye West claimed MyChannel was trying to rip him off, telling the company’s lawyer that the lawsuit was simply an attempt to “hold me up for some paper” and labeled the deposing lawyer, as an “older white man” who was f###### crazy.

“When I asked him the most basic of questions ‘where do you presently live’ he angrily responded ‘I am getting a divorce’ or ‘the world.’ At one point he also declared that this was not a deposition for which he was sworn to tell the truth at all, but a ‘movie’ of his making that I was just a bit player in,” Michael Popok said. “I asked him if in the this so called ‘movie’ he refuses to answer questions. He did not respond to that question either.”

MyChannel’s lawyers are trying to sanction Kanye to the tune of $63,000 over his antics during the deposition. However, Kanye West’s lawyers claim MyChannel’s lawyers are the ones who need to be sanctioned

Kanye’s lawyers claim the profanity-laced court deposition should never have been leaked to the public, and they want $14,882 in sanctions.

A judge has yet to rule but another deposition is slated for June 28.

Derek Chauvin Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison For Killing George Floyd

Derek Chauvin appeared in court today (June 25) where he learned his fate, for killing George Floyd.

On April 20 a jury has convicted the former Minneapolis police officer of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter over the brutal murder of George Floyd.

Chauvin, who is the first police officer to be convicted of killing a Black person in the state of Minnesota, was asking for probation with time served. Prosecutors wanted to send him away for 30 years.

Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill sentenced Chauvin to an 22-year sentence, for kneeling on the 46-year-old rapper’s neck for almost 9 minutes on May 25, 2020, as Floyd pleaded for his life.

Normal sentencing guidelines called for Derek Chauvin to receive between 10 and 15 years in prison, but Judge Cahill ruled prosecutors had proven there were four aggravating factors related to Big Floyd’s death, which resulted in the lengthy prison sentence.

Judge Cahill said those factors included abuse of a position of trust and authority; cruelty; killing Floyd in front of children, with the active participation of three other people.

“I ask about him all the time. I ask how did my dad get hurt…I want to play with him. I want to play with him, have fun, go on a plane ride, and that’s it. We used to have dinner meals every single night before we went to bed. My daddy always used to help me brush my teeth,” 7-year-old Gianna Floyd said during a heart-wrenching witness impact statement, adding she “missed” him and “loved” him.

Those three other people are ex-cops Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J. Alexander Kueng, who stood by and did nothing but watch George Floyd die.

Thao, Lane and Kueng are supposed to go on trial in March of 2022, for aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

T.I. And Tiny Ask Judge To Toss Sabrina Peterson’s Defamation Lawsuit Because She’s Allegedly An “Unscrupulous” “Liar”

Atlanta power couple T.I. and Tiny Harris are asking a judge to toss out a defamation lawsuit from Sabrina Peterson, a woman that claimed that the two muddy her name on social media.

Peterson was one of the first women to out to accuse the grand hustler of sexual assault and abuse.

One of her accusations was that the rapper pulled a gun out on her, aimed it at her head, and threatened to kill her.

But that’s not what this suit is about …The actual suit that Sabrina filed is because Tiny called her “special” and “strange.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CKhgGA3DCeV/?hl=en

In a post, the Xscape singer put up an image from February 2, 2019, “Hold up … So, you want your abuser to train your songs? He was just uncle 2 years ago … not when did you say my husband assaulted you? Did you change your mind or change it back? What’s up wit you today Pooh? I’m confused. Stop Harassing My Family. You strange. Everybody know you been special (face slicing seminar lady). Please Get help. But LEAVE US ALONE!!”

T.I. is asking the judge to recognize Peterson’s alleged rap sheet that has all kinds of crimes.

Through his attorney, he said that the woman “is an adjudged liar, a convicted felon with a lengthy rap sheet for crimes involving dishonesty and violent assault and has a reputation for being unscrupulous.”

They believe that there is no way that they could make her rep any worse.

Ludacris, Eudoxie Waiting To Learn The Sex Of Baby Until Birth

Rapper Ludacris and his wife Eudoxie Bridges have decided to make the arrival of their second child doubly exciting by opting not to find out the baby’s sex before the birth.

The “Area Codes” hitmaker broke the news of his wife’s pregnancy last month as he celebrated the model’s 35th birthday with a series of photos, in which she proudly cradles her bulging belly.

Now the hip-hop star has opened up about his growing family, insisting that despite already having three daughters, he will be happy with either a boy or a girl.

Asked if he’s “holding out for a boy” Ludacris told Today: “I will be happy with whatever the Most High wants to give me.

“We don’t know the sex of the child. We’re gonna wait until the day. It’s like, one of the only things that’s left to just be unpredictable these days, and it’s exciting.”

Ludacris shares five-year-old Cadance with Eudoxie, while he is also dad to six-year-old Cai, and 19-year-old Karma from previous relationships, and he’s loved every minute of life as a “girl dad,” which also served as the inspiration behind his new animated project.

“There’s so many great things that have happened from me being a girl dad,” he said. “One in particular, I have a Netflix series called ‘Karma’s World’ that comes out at the end of this fall (autumn), and it’s literally to enrich and empower young girls.”

The news of Eudoxie’s pregnancy emerged three years after she suffered a devastating miscarriage at the start of 2018.

The couple wed in 2014.

Read DJ Chief Xcel’s statement below:

It is with much sadness and a heavy heart I announce the passing of my friend and brother of 34 years, Timothy Jerome Parker aka The Gift of Gab. He returned peacefully to the essence on June 18, 2021.

I met Tim Parker aka The Gift Of Gab in September of 1987 at John F. Kennedy High in Sacramento. He was a junior and I was a sophomore. I had moved to Sac earlier that summer from Union City. Gab had moved there two years prior from Pacoima.

We had a home economics class together, Mr. Hightower, third period. He sat in the row directly behind me. Tim being from So Cal and me being from the Bay, we would argue all class period about who was doper, Ice T or Too Short. A friend of mine, Armstead Jackson, played a mixtape for me he had from New York and on it was “Top Billin” by Audio Two. It blew my mind. Armstead let me borrow the tape. I played it for Tim that same day in class. It blew his mind and we knew we actually had same loved for Hip Hop.

At the time his rap name was Tiny T. I knew he rhymed because of a mutual friend, Justin aka Homicide.

Homicide approached me one day and said, “We should form a group. You be the DJ and me and Tiny be the MC’s. Tiny’s Dope.” I said, “Cool” and we set out to be Sac’s version of Run DMC. Plans were put to an immediate halt when Homicide dropped out of school. We never heard from him again. About six months passed and out of the blue, Tim who had now changed his rap name to Gabby T, calls me and says ,“Yo X, I need a DJ”. So I’m thinking he’s asking me to DJ for him for a talent show or school dance so I say, “For when?”. Tim then replies “Forever” and I say “Cool”.

That day marked the beginning of our journey. 34 years of brotherhood, deep friendship, artistic inspiration, and musical exploration.
