The details for Black Rob’s Homegoing Services are in.
Right after the passing of DMX, and already reeling Hip-Hop community found that rapper black Rob was in dire straits health-wise. Shortly thereafter, the former Bad Boy rapper died. His death was listed as kidney failure, but those close-by knew that Rob had been suffering for a number of years.
Now the details of his public viewing have been made public, exclusively to AllHipHop.com.
Here are the details:
Black Rob’s funeral is Friday, April 30th.
Metropolitan Church In Harlem at 128th Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.
9-11am Public viewing.
11-12:30 service.(Closed)
There will be no repass for Robert Ross, who was a staple in his native Harlem even though he was in Atlanta at the time of his death.
As the word of Black Rob‘s passing spread, there was confusion and criticism.
Many wondered how could this happen to such a beloved, well-known and seemingly successful rapper. Also, after he was so instrumental in the resurgence of Bad Boy Records post-Biggie, that many looked towards Sean “Diddy” Combs as partial reasoning for his untimely tragic death.
However, the Bad Boy mogul, who goes by Love now is presently paying for funeral services according to numerous reports including AllHipHop. There has also been a push for a union or some form of health insurance for artists as well. These options have not materialized in any significant way but those conversations will hopefully bear fruit that will help artists as they seek help in their careers.

Cordae earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album with 2019’s The Lost Boy. The Maryland-bred emcee is back today (April 22) with a four-pack of tracks.
Just Until… arrived this morning via Atlantic Records. Cordae recruited A Tribe Called Quest legend Q-Tip and YSL leader Young Thug for the EP.
Fans online appeared to be excited about the former YBN collective member returning with new tunes. Cordae’s name was one of the top trending topics on Twitter after Just Until… dropped.
The Lost Boy helped establish Cordae as a rising Hip Hop star to keep an eye on. After the project hit DSPs two years ago, the 23-year-old rapper racked up millions of YouTube views for “Gifted” featuring Roddy Ricch and “The Parables.”
In addition, Cordae made mainstream news around the world because of his relationship with 2-time U.S. Open tennis champion Naomi Osaka. The couple took part in a light-hearted quiz for GQ.
“Blood on your brother on the ground, go and pick your mans up. Damn right, we scrеaming self-defense, he shouldn’t have never put his hands on me,” raps Quando Rondo on his “End of Story” track.
The song was Quando’s response to the November 2020 shooting in Atlanta that left Dayvon “King Von” Bennett dead. Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks, a close associate of Quando Rondo, was arrested in connection to the case.
When “End of Story” dropped, some listeners took the song and its title as a diss directed at King Von. Especially since the deceased Chicago native had multiple records called “Crazy Story.”
Earlier this month, Quando sat down with Angela Yee for an interview. The conversation was released in parts over several weeks. The latest installment – also titled “End of Story” – included the Savannah-raised entertainer discussing the controversy surrounding his “End of Story” song.
“Me saying ‘End of Story’ is just me saying, ‘This is the end of the story,’” Quando told The Breakfast Club radio host. “I had no intentions, to be honest with you, ma’am, I never knew bro even had three/four different songs called ‘Crazy Stories.’”
The Atlantic-signed rapper continued, “I knew about the one. But you know how this rap s### is. I do music. I don’t pay attention to other people’s music like that, ma’am… It was just supposed to be like, ‘This is the end of the discussion.’”
Hip Hop artist Vic Mensa is joining the Colorcast team as a part-owner, advisor, and brand ambassador. Mensa began casting on the platform in January 2021 before officially partnering with the social sports audio app.
“Colorcast is an app that allows anyone with an opinion about sports or sports culture to speak their mind and I’m a big fan of that,” said Mensa. “I’m looking forward to being more than just a Caster for the app. I want to see how we can expand the app’s reach through more celebrity interactions.”
The Roc Nation representative adds, “I know there are other celebrities and influencers who want that same type of authentic engagement I’ve been seeing – plus you don’t have to be a sports expert to enjoy it.”
“We are thrilled to have Vic join Colorcast as a part-owner, advisor, and brand ambassador,” said Evan Kirkham, CEO of Colorcast. “Vic has used the app to commentate a Chicago Bears game and the recent Jake Paul fight. He brings a totally fresh perspective to the team, especially as we begin thinking about onboarding additional celebrity talent.”
Kirkham continues, “We’re confident that Vic will help the team capitalize on recent growth and expand our offering to user groups we weren’t previously reaching. It’s an exciting development for Colorcast and for the social-audio industry as a whole.”
Colorcast launched in 2020. The company was awarded first place in the 2021 SXSW 1-Minute Pitch Competition. Colorcast allows listeners and casters to interact in real-time during live sporting events. It also has features like betting odds, box scores, and stats.
You may recognize the Houston native from his days mobbing with Young Money, but he’s come a long way since. A versatile recording artist if there ever was one, FRE$H, real name Supreme Williams, speaks his truth and creates from a place of vulnerability, unleashing nothing short of good vibrations and positive energy.
He states, “I’m always a glass-half-full person anyway. Even before the pandemic, optimism is my thing. You gotta have that positive energy around you. You gotta really produce it, in order to keep going in this world.”
With his roots in Houston, Fre$h knows a thing about hard-hitting production, impeccable lyricism, and impressive melody… and that carries over to the new music he’s recording today. Most recently, he unleashed his new EP titled “Still Summer Somewhere,” this time inspired by dancehall and Afrobeats.
AllHipHop spoke with Fre$h in downtown Los Angeles, who was rocking his hoodie from his fire new merch, which coincides with the new project.
AllHipHop: You’ve been travelling all over. How was Christmas in Aruba?
FRE$H: That s### was amazing! It was my second time going. It was super cool. I brought my mom out there so we spent Christmas together. Then I went to Columbia for a week and some change, that was beautiful. Now we finna go to Puerto Rico.
AllHipHop: Do you be traveling with friends, family?
FRE$H: Yeah, Squalla’s coming with us this time. It’s really finna be the gang this time, all the Fresh Lxrds going. This our first trip together. Squalla don’t have his passport, so we demoted to going to Puerto Rico only. I wanted to go somewhere more exotic, but we gon’ accommodate little bro.
AllHipHop: Talk about your Fresh Muzik LLC label.
FRE$H: All the homies, we trying to make this bigger than life. We got Squalla, MC Beezy, Mike Zombie, Don Juligans.
AllHipHop: Mike’s from Jersey right?
FRE$H: Yeah, Jersey Mike! What’s funny, I met Mike through my boy ISM who produced frēsh•ism. We had all linked up ironically at Coachella. We all rented a crib at Coachella, that’s when me and Mike really got cool. From that point on, we’re rocking. We started working together. It became a thing where he’s coming over to the crib everyday. We’re always linking up, going to the studio. We’re all getting lit, it happened organically. Now with Squalla finally moving to LA, we all been kicking it. Especially during the pandemic, that’s when we got the tightest because during that time, we’re always at my crib.
I got the studio set up at the house as well so we started making music. That’s how the Don Juligans came about. As far as Beezy, we met back in Houston years ago and formed a friendship. I remember telling Squalla, “you my favorite rapper from Houston.” When I heard him rap, damn! I was shocked because I liked who he was, he’s always smiling. Every time I see him in the club, he’s always smiling. Always lit. I didn’t even know he rapped at first, but when we heard him rap, damn this n*gga hard! We built it from there.
AllHipHop: “Bottomless Mimosas” is such a vibe, what inspired the record?
FRE$H: I got the concept from a situation that had happened. There was this girl, she had went and had bottomless mimosas with her friends. When she came to my house, it was crazy! Whoa, I ain’t never ever seen you act like that! [laughs]
AllHipHop: What was the creative process behind your new project, Still Summer Somewhere?
FRE$H: You know what, it was recorded before because I was supposed to drop this last year, then the pandemic happened because I had a whole listening party for the “Bottomless Mimosa” single. Right after that, the world shut down. I’m not finna drop this amidst chaos, we don’t even know what’s going on. So I held it for a year, finally put it out.
AllHipHop: Do you feel like it’s the perfect time with the world opening back up?
FRE$H: I do. It’s great timing, especially with everybody so anxious to be outside. The music fits the vibe of outside.
AllHipHop: The project is inspired by dancehall and Afrobeats, were you listening to anyone when creating the project?
FRE$H: When I made it, I wasn’t listening to anything ironically. I was making it off my inspiration, I remember hearing the music and diving in. When I was in Aruba, I really spent a lot of time listening to Wizkid. His album, he’s my favorite artist now over there. I thought “this dude’s dope!” I went to listen to his older stuff and it’s cool, but this last project he put together sounds so well-produced. His vocals sound good, it’s a dope project. I’ve been jamming that lately. I had someone make me a playlist with all the top Afrobeats artists. It’s a lot of guys, I don’t want to butcher their names. [laughs] It’s some good songs, I know that.
AllHipHop: How did it feel to celebrate with close friends at the brunch on Saturday?
FRE$H: It was great! When I have these events, I don’t really expect much. For one, I’m from Houston. Out here, I don’t expect a lot of people to come or be in the mix, but a lot of people do come show love when I have stuff. I’m thankful ‘cause being from a whole other state, you wouldn’t expect to have this many supporters out here. Anytime I do something, it’s really the same people that always come to support me.
AllHipHop: What was your first taste of the music industry?
FRE$H: Getting signed, because I moved to Atlanta after my freshman year in college. I got signed 8 months after being there, so my first taste in the industry was my deal with Def Jam. Working with DJ Toomp and getting discovered by Russell Simmons, that’s how it began.
AllHipHop: What are those early conversations with Russell Simmons?
FRE$H: Man, you know what Russell told me when I was 19? He told me I should invest in water. I wish I would’ve listened to him, I didn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. I’m a kid fresh out the projects, water? I’m tryna get some syrup, he’s talking about some water. I wish I would‘ve listened, but I didn’t have the mental capacity at the time to understand the jewels and knowledge he’s giving me.
Russell always liked me. He always motivated me. He always talked to me about my work ethic. He even told me that I reminded him of Pac. I’m like “what are you talking about?” At the time, I didn’t understand it because it was such a big compliment. He was talking about my work ethic, I really have a dynamic work ethic if I could say so myself. I’m literally sitting on over 500 songs of recent music. I was just with one of my engineers, I haven’t recorded with him in about 3 years, he said he has 192 songs that we did within a 2-year timespan. I got a lot of music.
AllHipHop: You going to unleash all that music?
FRE$H: Of course! I had to get into a situation that allows me to release music as fast as I make it. That’s the hardest thing, you don’t want to drop music and nobody gets to hear and appreciate it. You gotta get somewhere where they support everything that you do. Being over there at Cinq with Diana and Tmah, they really gravitate towards how rapidly you want to release the music. Every 3 weeks, you gon’ hear something new.
AllHipHop: Talk about your partnership with Cinq, it’s independent right?
FRE$H: Yeah, it is. I’m over here with Diana, she’s Head of Marketing over there. Tmah’s head A&R over there. It’s a good group of people man. They’re very quick to respond, very transparent. Shout out to Barry, get Barry on the phone. They like everything we’re doing so I’m enjoying how we’re able to feed the fans with all this good music we’ve been sitting on and creating.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in studio?
FRE$H: A good beat, some water, and some weed.
AllHipHop: Any goals at this point of your career?
FRE$H: To make sure that people recognize the brand as much as they know me. Make sure my homies get in a position so they can take care of their people and their family, because I really believe in them as much as I believe in myself. I want everybody to glo up and get some money.
Killah Calico is back with the third installment of his video series. This time around he recruited Pistol, a Nashville legend for an updated version of Pistol’s street anthem titled, “It Ain’t Cool to Snitch”, originally released in 2000. The production features another Nashville legend Fate Eastwood, creating a new sound for the record.
The visual is beyond the industry standard and feels more like scenes from a movie than a music video. Killah Calico seems to level up with each release and has us locked in and waiting for the drop of his highly anticipated project “Da Man On Tha Low”.

Comedian and actor Dave Chappelle’s new podcast will change the way listeners think of the audio medium, according to its creator.
The funnyman is really serious about his new show, “The Midnight Miracle,” insisting fans have heard nothing like it – because it was recorded last year during his Summer Camp at The Shack comedy event.
The get-together took shape while Dave was quarantining during the COVID crisis in Dayton, Ohio, and featured Dave and pals Yasiin Bey, aka hip-hop star Mos Def, and Black Star member Talib Kweli chatting with famous friends, performing sketches, and getting their groove on to favorite tracks.
The project is one of the first big acquisitions announced by chiefs at podcast network Luminary, who have paired up with Apple bosses for a new audio venture subscription service, the Luminary channel on Apple podcasts, which is due to debut in May.
The Midnight Miracle will also be available on Luminary.
“Making a podcast isn’t the obvious next move for me, but it’s the right one,” Chappelle said in a statement. “The Midnight Miracle gives you a look into how me and my friends process the world around us, and I think it will change the way listeners think of what a podcast can be.”
Kweli, Bey, and Chappelle went through over 100 hours of material to find the best content.
Model Blac Chyna will get to have her day in court earlier than expected after her trial against the Kardashian-Jenner family was brought forward to October.
Blac Chyna, who shares a daughter with her ex-fiance Rob Kardashian, sued matriarch Kris Jenner, and her daughters Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner in 2017.
The reality TV family denied the accusations, but earlier this year, three appellate judges ruled Chyna had provided enough evidence to back up claims suggesting Kris had “lied” when she accused Rob’s ex of beating up her son and used the story to prompt E! network bosses to drop any plans for a second season.
The stars’ attorney, Marty Singer, previously dismissed the allegations, insisting “Rob & Chyna” wasn’t renewed because the pair had already split.
The trial had been set to begin on November 29th, but the start date has since been bumped up to October 18th.
The move has “thrilled” Chyna and her attorney, Lynne Ciani. However, the Kardashian-Jenner clan could still avoid having to go to court to fight the case.
Both parties have indicated they are open to mediation before the trial gets underway. A status hearing is set to take place on July 26th.

Rihanna has expanded her living quarters in Los Angeles after picking up the property next to the mansion she snapped up at the beginning of 2021.
The singer and fashion mogul has now spent almost $24 million for the two pads in Beverly Hills.
Her latest purchase is a 3,000 square foot house, which sits on a half-acre of land. The house was built in the 1930s and comes with four bedrooms and 4.5 baths.
The house also comes with an oversized swimming pool and a spacious backyard.
Paul McCartney owns the place across the street, while Rihanna’s new neighbors also include Mariah Carey and Madonna.
Just three months ago, RiRi a property for $13.8 million.
Rihanna proves to be just a shrewd at buying real estate, as she is with running her billion-dollar businesses.
She has the cash to spare, thanks to the success of her Savage x Fenty lingerie brand, which has been flying off the shelves.
“Kim is doing okay. I know Kim gave her all for everything,” Chrissy shared. “It’s honestly a shame that it didn’t work out because I saw them being a forever relationship.”
“I really did, but I know she tried her best,” she insisted.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxU3B2-eDWk
When a fan asked Chrissy about the status of her husband John Legend‘s friendship with Kanye, she added: “I will say I have definitely been in touch with Kim more than John has been in touch with Kanye.
“If anyone knows Kanye, it’s that he goes off the grid and it’s hard to ever contact him.”
John and Kanye used to be close friends and music collaborators but began to fall out after Kanye showed his support for former U.S. President Donald Trump – who John has admitted he can’t stand.
What’s going on with Lil Wayne. Wayne has been relatively quiet even though he continues to drop songs here and there. I don’t get the impression that he’s dropping anything similar or classic. But, he still is one of the rappers on Mount Rushmore and continues to captivate audiences.
The rapper, he has recently tweeted something that got everybody talking. He proclaimed himself to be the happiest man alive, A stark contrast from being the greatest rapper alive back in the day. But folks are speculating that maybe he got back with his girlfriend, the plus size model Denise Bidot. And it seems as such. A lot of people speculate that they may have quietly gotten married and Wayne is really happy over it.
“Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters,” the rapper said.
Now, remember last year and probably now, Wayne was a staunch Trump supporter and his wiz was cut from a smarter cloth. She left him over his political views. Wayne was also facing some serious jail time and needed a way out. Trump gave him that, essentially saved him at the ripe age of 38. Ms. Bidot is BACK in a grand fashion…just like a model. Anyway, she deleted her Twitter to avoid the fray. Good for her.
There’s not much more to say about this other than it really seems like Weezy is really happy about the fact that he’s gotten back with his his lady.
OR MARRIED! Read this!
Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters.

Looks like battle rap has a new fan … but is he ready to get mixy? The culture will be the judge of that. Enters DNA: the athlete sat with the freestyle phenom on his Caffeine show, “Champagne with The Champ” to talk about his newfound love and his desire to hop in the ring.
“I come from a culture where I put ngas in a body bag,” Johnson said. “I’ve become fascinated by what y’all do and no disrespect, I wouldn’t want to come in acting like I can do that. I can’t talk sh*t, I can do that. But the way y’all put words together and dissect ngas … the sh*t is art.”
“I get chills just thinking about the first time I was able to see y’all battle.”
Despite saying that he didn’t think he could rock with him … what did he do when he got around DNA and Twork, just nine days later? The sh*t talker stepped to them with fury.
