Shaboozey Reacts To Awards Shade As Social Media Users Slam “Racist” CMAs

The CMA Awards are at the center of a social media storm, facing accusations of racism and claims Shaboozey was snubbed after he failed to win any of his nominations, despite the overwhelming success of his breakout hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The chart-topping country music rising star was in the running for New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year. Shaboozey is currently enjoying his 18th week atop the chart with “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” the longest-running solo No. 1 hit in Billboard Hot 100 history

Nonetheless, Shaboozey, who performed his breakout hit at the ceremony, walked away empty-handed, sparking fury on social media.

Users criticized the CMAs over the lack of recognition, and the country music industry generally, highlighting Shaboozey’s musical contributions and efforts to immerse himself in the Nashville scene. Others referenced the CMAs snubbing Beyoncé despite the success of her record-breaking COWBOY CARTER album.

“They told Beyoncé to come to Nashville,” one frustrated critic wrote. “Come hang with us. Make your presence felt. Shaboozey played the game. Did what was encouraged to get “welcomed”  in Country music and despite having the number one record in the country, breaking the record, they gave him ZERO awards. LOL.”

However, Shaboozey did get a mention on the winner’s podium but it only added fuel to the fire.

Cody Johnson’s producer Trent Willmon threw shade at the 29-year-old singer during his Album of the Year acceptance speech, even though Shaboozey wasn’t competing in the category.

“It takes an army of people to make a great record,” he told the crowd. “But I gotta tell ya, this is for this cowboy who’s been kicking shaboozey for a lot of years.”

Shaboozey Reacts To Willmon’s Remarks

Shabbozey reacted on X (Twitter,) declaring, “Ain’t nobody kicking me!”

Social Media Users Call Out CMA Awards Over Shaboozey Snub

Even so, the damage was done, and the backlash was intense.

“CMAs have a race issue,” one person asserted, posting a clip of the inflammatory remark. “The #CMAAwards are racist. Watch the racism unfold from last night CMAs. Shaboozey deserves better & he released the biggest country song of the year 18 weeks at number one on Billboard hot 100 charts. How do you let someone get away with being this disrespectful @CountryMusic?”

Another added, “The fact that Shaboozey didn’t win a single Country Music Award despite having the #1 country song for like 3 months straight is proof that they don’t want somebody black to be the face of country music.”

Shaboozey shared his appreciation amid the social media uproar, noting “Win or lose, I’m blessed by something or someone that has a power beyond my understanding.”

Check out some other reactions to Shaboozey’s 2024 CMA Awards snub below.

Mike Tyson Feels Sorry For Certain Fans: See Why

A week ago, we witnessed one of the most bizarre fights in recent memory. Jake Paul took on Iron Mike Tyson in an unprecedented matchup that drew a crowd of 70,000 at the massive AT&T Stadium, aka Jerry’s World, in Arlington, Texas.

Leading up to the fight, the consensus was clear: Mike Tyson would dominate! Even with the age gap, he was going to flatten Jake Paul. That’s not what happened. In fact, the fight turned out to be a disappointment on almost every level. Neither Mike Tyson nor Jake Paul lived up to the hype. Jake said, “He must dieeeeeeeeeeee” after being slapped. It was a lackluster event that left us boxing fans shaking their heads. Both fighters seemed hesitant, but that’s another story.

We gave grace, because Mike Tyson revealed after the fight that his health had been worse than previously known. While we knew he had been dealing with an ulcer, Tyson shared that he had been much sicker than anyone imagined, even coming close to death. So…that leads us to the next phase.

It is time for the rumors. As you know, sports and betting are inseparable in today’s culture. Gambling has become deeply ingrained and I find it odd. Why? Because betting compromises the integrity of sports! Many people expected Mike Tyson to knock Jake Paul down—or out—despite the reality that a man 30 years younger generally has the clear advantage.

I wanted Mike to do this, by the way!

Nevertheless, countless fans placed bets on Tyson, only to lose big. Some people lost serious money, and the fallout has been devastating for certain bettors. Boxer Zab Judah, I feel your pain, brother! Meanwhile, Tyson, now $20 million richer, has reportedly expressed regret for those who bet on him and lost their hard-earned cash. This is what I am hearing!

That said, I’m curious about how much Mike will actually take home. Sure, he bagged $20 million upfront, plus potential royalties on the backend, but taxes and expenses will take a hefty chunk. Insiders estimate he could lose nearly half to taxes, and a portion of the remainder will go to his team who prepared him for the fight. Still, even after all deductions, it’s a solid payday for the legendary fighter.

What do you think about all of this? Did you bet on the fight? Let’s hear your take!

Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Drops Assault & Defamation Lawsuit

Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, has dropped her federal assault and defamation lawsuit against him.

Jabbari filed her suit back in March, three months after a jury found the Creed actor guilty of assaulting and harassing Jabbari during an incident in New York in March of 2023. In April, a judge sentenced Major to attend domestic violence counseling.

In her defamation lawsuit, Grace Jabbari accused Jonathan Majors of attempting to paint her as a “crazy liar” and not a victim of his physical and emotional abuse.

She alleged that he defamed her by continuing to deny the assault despite the guilty verdict. She claimed Majors “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News wherein he doubled down on his public attack of Grace, claiming that she is lying about the entire pattern of abuse she has described, as he has ‘never laid [his] hands on a woman.'”

Majors and Jabbari reportedly filed a joint notice with the court on Thursday (November 21) via their attorneys, affirming that the lawsuit was “hereby dismissed with prejudice.”

Majors was arrested in March 2023 following an altercation with Jabbari in the back of a vehicle. Judge Michael Gaffey ordered the actor to attend a domestic violence intervention program. Judge Gaffey also barred majors from any contact whatsoever with Jabbari.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors is celebrating his recent engagement with Meagan Good. The happy couple announced the news during an appearance at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday night (November 17).

How AllHipHop Drives Traffic to Casinos Online with Guest Posts

In the highly competitive online casino space, building visibility and trust isn’t just a challenge—it’s a necessity. With millions of players and brands competing for attention, standing out requires more than flashy ads or generic marketing. At AllHipHop, we’ve mastered the art of using guest posts to deliver not just traffic, but measurable results that help casino brands, SEO agencies, and freelancers achieve their goals.

The Challenges in Driving Casino Traffic

While many platforms promise results through guest posts, they often fail to deliver. These are the common problems holding back casinos, SEO agencies, and freelance professionals:

1. Low-Quality Platforms

Many guest post providers rely on websites with low domain authority or questionable histories. Links from these sites offer little to no SEO value and can even damage a brand’s credibility.

2. Lack of Optimization

Guest posts without properly optimized metadata, well-formatted images, or strategic keyword integration miss critical opportunities to attract traffic.

3. No Social Signals

Most guest post platforms ignore the importance of social sharing. Without distribution across active channels, the reach of these posts remains limited, missing the chance to boost rankings and engagement.

4. Unproven Traffic Claims

Some platforms claim high traffic but rely heavily on paid ads rather than organic search. For those looking to build sustainable SEO strategies, this offers little long-term value.

Platforms that restrict the number of do-follow links or fail to allow strategic anchor text limit the effectiveness of the guest post for SEO gains.

At AllHipHop, we address these challenges head-on, offering solutions tailored to meet the needs of casinos, SEO agencies, and freelancers:

1. Real Authority That Matters

  • Page Rank: 7 | Domain Rating (DR): 73
  • High-authority backlinks that significantly improve search visibility and brand credibility.

2. Fully Optimized Content

  • Every guest post includes optimized metadata, keyword-rich descriptions, and image optimization to enhance both performance and rankings.
  • Up to 4 do-follow links per guest post, allowing precise anchor text and link placement for better SEO outcomes.

4. Social Signal Boost

  • Posts are shared across AllHipHop’s social media channels, adding visibility and strengthening SEO with social signals.

5. Proven Organic Traffic

  • Unlike platforms reliant on ads, AllHipHop attracts significant organic traffic, ensuring your content reaches a highly relevant audience.

Why This Matters for Casinos, SEO Agencies, and Freelancers

For Casinos:

Boost rankings for competitive keywords, build trust with audiences, and bring in qualified traffic that converts.

For SEO Agencies:

Provide high-value results for casino clients through authoritative backlinks and fully optimized guest posts.

For Freelancers:

Offer premium guest post opportunities that enhance your reputation and help your clients achieve measurable results.

Playboi Carti Fans Reeling After Rapper Teases “Play This”

Playboi Carti fans were again disappointed after the Atlanta rapper hyped up new single “Play This” but failed to drop the track on streaming platforms.

Earlier this week, he drummed up excitement for an upcoming release, teasing that new music would arrive on Friday (November 22). The anticipation intensified as Playboi Carti seemingly continued the rollout on Thursday evening, dropping a snippet of an unreleased track, titled, “Play This.”

He uploaded the minute-and-a-half-long clip to his @opium_00pium Instagram account.

However, midnight came and went, with no new release, and fans reacted on social media. Some blamed themselves for believing Playboi Carti would live up to his promises. Others called him out for “lying” to fans and consistently failing to deliver.

Carti followed up on His Instagram Stories, announcing that he’s “locked [right now]” and wants fans to hear his upcoming music.

Nonetheless, as of the time of writing, “Play This” remains absent from streaming platforms and is only available on Instagram.

Carti then shed light on the delay, insisting “IM NOT DONE AT ALL” in a comment alongside the song snippet. He promised “DA S### DATS ON MY ALBUM OVRLY TRIMM,” and explained that he only shared the “Play This” clip because he loves the song and wanted fans to hear it.

He also hinted at the reason for the delay, pinning a fan comment reflecting on going through “test phases” with Playboi Carti.

“Spends about 2 – 3 years testing sounds through ‘leaks,’” the fan added. “Then lands somewhere in the middle of it all. The wait use to p### me off but you can’t rush art.”

Meanwhile, Playboi Carti recently previewed an unreleased track from his upcoming album, I AM MUSIC. He also revealed his “CARNIVAL” collaborator Kanye West is working on the project.

Chris Brown Dance Battles Kai Cenat, Teaches “Tone Deaf” Streamer To Sing

Kai Cenat has welcomed another celebrity onto his Mafiathon 2 subathon, inviting Chris Brown to join his livestream.

The popular Twitch personality began his planned 24 hours a day month-long stream on November 1, intent on reclaiming his title of most subscribers on the platform. With high-profile appearances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Lil Uzi Vert, Quavo, Kodak Black, G Herbo and many more, he broke his own record less than halfway through.

He achieved the feat by reaching 327,000 paid subscribers but is not approaching 500,000. However, the stream, and the high jinks continued on Thursday night (November 21), as Kai Cenat joined forces with R&B superstar Chris Brown.

Within less than 5 minutes, Cenat had challenged Brown to a dance battle. The singer joked that he was “ducking the smoke” because he was too old at 35 before being drawn out after Cenat called on fellow Twitch streamer Duke Dennis to teach Brown how to do a front flip.

Chris Brown Tells Kai Cenat: “You’re Tone Deaf!”

The stream only got more energetic from there, with the trio flexing their acrobatic skills before getting down to a dance battle. Later, Chris Brown tried to teach Kai Cenat to sing, but it didn’t go down well, with the former branding the latter “tone deaf.”

Chris Brown’s appearance with Kai Cenat doesn’t come as a surprise. The controversial artist rarely gives interviews and has shunned mainstream media following his 2009 assault on Rihanna and other allegations of violence.

“I don’t want to be accepted by any of the mainstream media or fake celebrities. I am king in my own lane,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories in March. “Your fave ain’t got s### on me, and they know it. I ain’t finna tap dance for approval. You will beg forgiveness of me. That I do know.”

Meanwhile, the allegations are back in the spotlight following the release of a new documentary earlier this month titled Chris Brown: A History of Violence

Kim Kardashian Gets Freaky With Tesla Robot In Pics

Kim Kardashian found herself under fire after sharing a provocative photoshoot with a Tesla robot and electric utility truck, sparking heated discussions on social media.

The photos, which featured the reality TV star dressed in lingerie while posing suggestively with the high-tech creations, quickly drew criticism from fans and detractors alike.

“So Optimus got laid?” one user wrote, while another added, “Sexualizing robots already is wild.”

The controversial images, posted to Kardashian’s social media accounts, show her wearing a bomber jacket, bra, stockings, and suspenders in various suggestive poses.

In one image, she straddles the lap of the humanoid Tesla robot. Another shows her squatting in front of the robot while it appeared to sit in the driver’s seat of the Tesla truck.

The robot, designed by Elon Musk’s Tesla, added a sci-fi edge that wasn’t enough to curb public backlash.

Critics questioned whether Kardashian’s use of Tesla products was a subtle endorsement of Musk or even an indication of her political stance.

Some commenters pointed to Musk’s recent appointment by President-elect Donald Trump to head the newly formed “Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE)” as potential grounds for Kim’s perceived alignment with Trump.

The sexualized nature of the photoshoot also stirred discomfort among fans.

Critics scoffed at the merging of lingerie-clad poses with cutting-edge technology, calling the imagery “weird” and out-of-touch.

One dissatisfied user commented, “Sorry Kim, you’re not gonna normalize this weird behavior for us. We don’t want this!”

Others went beyond Kardashian’s photo choices, lamenting the broader implications of technology encroaching on everyday life.

“I hate this for mankind,” wrote one concerned critic, reflecting unease about the rapid integration of robotics and automation into society.

Whether Kardashian intended to spark such divisive debates remains unknown, but the images have undoubtedly ignited conversations about technology, politics, and celebrity influence.

Big Sean Shrugs Off Jhené Aiko Marriage Proposal Pressure Amid Engagement Ring Rumors

Looks like Big Sean is still unbothered by the public scrutiny he faces when it comes to proposing to his longtime partner Jhené Aiko.

The Detroit rapper broke his silence in an interview with TMZ days after Aiko sparked a flurry of rumors after being spotted wearing a large diamond ring after leaving the 2024 GQ Men of the Year party at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles with Sean in tow. Considering the fact that Aiko was wearing the rock on her ring finger, it made sense that social media users jumped to the conclusion that Sean had popped the question. However, in a not so stealthy tweet and delete spree, Aiko denied the rumors in politely petty fashion.

“This ring is from my stylist,” Aiko wrote in the since deleted tweet. “It only fit on that finger [kissy face emoji] the more you know.”

In light of Aiko’s shady response to the moment, Big Sean is speaking out about the pressure he’s feeling from fans over the moment.

“I don’t think too much about it, man,” Big Sean told TMZ. “You know what, life is short, bro, so you got to do what you feel, you know what I’m saying.”

“She is the best, though, I’ll tell you that,” Sean stated, when asked if she was “The one” to which he replied without hesitation “Of course.”

While it may appear as though the “Bounce Back” rapper is saving face for the camera, it is more than likely that he isn’t worried about outside pressures considering his relationship with the Los Angeles-bred singer has been in public view for years. In fact, they shared their last major shared milestone with their following nearly two years ago to the date — which makes it easy to see why fans are so invested in the happy ending of marital bliss. In November 2022 Aiko and Big Sean welcomed their first child and took to social media to celebrate ten days after the little boy was born.

“✨11/08/22✨💙Noah Hasani💙 after 24 hours of labor, a total lunar eclipse, and while it was pouring rain… he came 🥹 my baby Yoda, my Sani 💙.”

Check out Sean Don gushing about his boo thang in the video above and see the tender photo of Aiko with their newborn son below.

EXCLUSIVE: Diddy’s Lawyer Makes Stunning Admission Over Broken Jail Rules

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers are aiming at the government’s claims that the jailed mogul was attempting to obstruct justice by using other inmates’ information – by admitting to the allegations.

Prosecutors have claimed the 55-year-old has attempted to “evade law enforcement monitoring” and “corruptly influence witness testimony” while he’s behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

They say Diddy used other inmates’ Phone Access Cards (ironically abbreviated as PACs) and a “non-authorized third-party messaging service” to communicate with multiple people.

In a filing on Thursday (November 21), the day before a high-stakes hearing to determine whether or not Diddy will make bond and be freed from the MDC prison in Brooklyn, his lawyers flat out admitted he was using other inmates’ information to make calls.

Diddy’s lawyers framed his paying for and using other inmates’ PACs as no big deal.

https://youtu.be/_KW1fg8Qpsc

“The use of other inmates’ PAC numbers is also a widespread practice at the MDC and not obstruction,” Diddy’s lawyer, Alexandra A.E. Shapiro, wrote in a filing to Judge Arun Subramanian.

“Inmates routinely share their calling minutes with other inmates, and they are limited to 15 minutes per call and one call per hour. The government has presented no evidence suggesting anything Mr. Combs says using other numbers is any different from what he says while using his individual PAC number,” Shapiro added.

Shapiro went a step further and blamed the dire conditions at MDC as an excuse for Diddy to use other inmates’ PACs to make calls to the outside world.

“If anything, that Mr. Combs needs to resort to sharing minutes demonstrates that the conditions at MDC do not permit an adequate defense preparation. Although this is technically not permitted by BOP policy, the BOP effectively sanctions the practice, and all calls are monitored,” Shapiro reasoned.

According to the BOP’s official procedures, inmates must provide administrators with a list of contacts – which must be approved – and the person on the list must be “agreeable” to receiving the inmate’s telephone call.

As for sharing, the BOP’s rules are pretty straightforward – which may cause a problem for Diddy during his upcoming court hearing.

“An inmate may not possess another inmate’s telephone access code number. An inmate may not give his or her telephone access code number to another inmate and is to report a compromised telephone access code number immediately to unit staff,” according to rules laid out by the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Diddy is awaiting trial after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He is slated to appear in court for his 5th attempt to make a bond on Friday (November 22).

Ice Cube Lays Out Why Bernie Mac Was At His Best In “The Players Club”

Ice Cube has set the record straight on Bernie Mac’s legendary performance in the 1998 cult classic The Players Club, a film Cube both wrote and directed.

During a conversation with comedians Chico Bean, DC Young Fly, Clayton English and Karlous Miller for his appearance on The 85 South Comedy Show, Cube pulled back the curtain on Mac’s iconic portrayal of “Dollar Bill,” calling it the “greatest of all time.” When asked by Bean if Cube had a hand in Bernie Mac’s involvement in the film, the rap legend-turned-Hollywood mogul didn’t hesitate.

“Hell yeah, I wrote and directed that movie,” he said, cementing his role as the creative mastermind behind the project. “I specially wrote Dollar Bill for Bernie, man. That’s one of the greatest of all time right there.”

Ice Cube added that while Mac had plenty of memorable roles in his career, nothing else came close.

“It’s hard, to me, for anybody to mess with that,” Cube said, clearly in awe of the late comedy star’s performance. Cube backed his assertion up by explaining how Mac’s comedic brilliance elevated the movie, which was already a home run to new heights.

“We just—I just let him get busy,” Cube revealed. “I don’t start with a whack script, right? The script’s got to be funny out loud while you’re reading it before I even start.”

He credited the solid foundation of his writing for allowing Mac’s improvisational genius to shine through.

“If you just said it how it is, it would be funny,” Cube said, adding that the real magic came when Bernie added his own flavor to the role. “Stick with the script but also add those, you know, curveballs in there, that just takes it to another level.”

The Players Club remains a cultural staple more than two decades after its release. The film grossed over $23 million at the box office, a strong showing for its modest $5 million budget. Its popularity only grew with home video rentals, becoming a frequent favorite at neighborhood video stores. In the streaming era, the film continues to attract new fans, racking up millions of views on platforms like Prime Video and Peacock. With Ice Cube’s reverence for Bernie Mac’s performance, it’s clear that Player’s Club is not just a film—it’s a legacy.

Ice Cube’s 11th studio album, Man Down, arrives on Friday (November 22).

De La Soul “Exploring Legal Options” After Unauthorized Book Hits Shelves

The living members of De La Soul—Kelvin “Posdnuos” Mercer and Vincent “Maseo” Mason—are urging fans not to support a new book called High & Rising (A Book About De La Soul). As the title and cover art suggest, the book intertwines the New York-bred trio’s journey to becoming one of the most influential Hip-Hop groups to emerge from the 1980s with the author’s life.

But according to an Instagram post, Pos and Mase had nothing to do with it and, in fact, they’re considering taking swift legal action. The post explains, “We’ve been receiving congratulatory messages about a book titled ‘High & Rising.’ However, we want to make it absolutely clear: this is an unauthorized book, and we are not connected to it in any way.

“For years, you’ve stood with us in our fight for ownership of our catalog and the right to benefit from the music we created. That same dedication to protecting what’s ours extends to being the ones who tell OUR story—something deeply personal and ‘De La’ to the core. Our story will be told in our words, in our way, with the style you’ve come to know and love. Until then, we encourage you to indulge in the authentic DA.I.S.Y. Age by supporting projects backed by us.”

They go on to say, “If you choose to support this book, that’s your right. We just want it to be clear that we do not and we are exploring all of our legal options. Even within this book’s title, the ‘3’ Is missing which shows how inauthentic it is because for us, ‘3’ will always be the magic number. We’re cooking up something special for Spring 2025—so the wait won’t be long for more of that authentic ‘De La.'”

High & Rising: A Book About De La Soul is written by Marcus J. Moore, and is currently being sold on the Harpers Collins website. Described as “a stunning cultural biography of De La Soul, the era-defining hip-hop trio that touched millions of lives and changed rap forever,” the book touts itself as the first about the beloved group.

“The first book about De La Soul, High & Rising shows that De La Soul is Black history, American history, world history, our history,” the description reads. “This is a tale about staying the course, and how holding true to your virtue can lead to dynamic results.”

According to the website, Moore finished it shortly after Dave “Trugoy the Dove” Jolicoeur’s death. The beloved member passed away in February 2023.

“Completed in the wake of Dave’s passing and the group’s arrival on streaming platforms after years in digital purgatory, High & Rising tells the story of one of the most influential rap groups of all time,” it continues. “In the process, acclaimed music journalist Marcus J. Moore braids in a deeply personal coming-of-age story about his journey through life with De La as a backdrop.”

De La Soul’s first six albums, including 1989’s 3 Feet High and Rising, landed on streaming services for the first time on March 3, 2023 (3/3/23), just weeks after Jolicoeur had died. It was a bittersweet moment for Pos and Mase, who’d been fighting Tommy Boy Records founder Tom Silverman for the rights for years but suddenly, Jolicoeur wasn’t there to witness it.

Pos reflected on Jolicoeur’s passing on the one-year-anniversary of his death, writing, “I feel conflicted posting this on this date…Dave disliked when people were publicly remembered on the day they were lost….The day they transitioned but I’m sure he also respected how people chose to remember those they love and have lost. So on this day I will stand alongside all the people who cherish him as well as kept us in their prayers but to be clear I miss him in the physical everyday, rep for him everyday & will talk to someone about him everyday.”

In a subsequent interview with AllHipHop, Maseo assured De La Soul fans it wasn’t the end for them.

“The plan is definitely to step out and put my best foot forward to make AOI 3 a reality,” he said at the time. “We are definitely looking to complete that mission. Pos has other ideas that he’s trying to bring to fruition. We got the blessing of friends and family—and Dave’s family in particular— for us to keep moving forward. We were actually kind of summoned to it. We went to Dave’s memorial at his house, and everybody that we grew up with was like, ‘Y’all know y’all gotta keep going.’ And on so many levels I feel like we have to and, at the same time, we want to. We still got a lot in the tank.”

Akon Admits He Promoted Akon City “Way Too Early”—But Insists It’s Coming

Akon, the multi-platinum artist turned entrepreneur, opened up about the progress on his ambitious Akon City project.

During a candid interview with AllHipHop‘s Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, he said the city is on the way. Announced with great fanfare in 2018, Akon City was billed as a futuristic, eco-friendly city in Senegal powered by cryptocurrency. It was giving Wakanda vibes, particularly because Marvel’s Black Panther movie came out the same year. ‘Kon admitted he may have jumped the gun when first revealing the project.

“My biggest thing was I promoted it way, way, way too early,” Akon confessed during the interview. When pressed, he said it was sheer excitement: “Of course, anything that exciting that would change a culture, people will naturally want to know what’s happening right now, assuming that it’s already happening. But it was in a process of creating.’

The vision for the city began as a technological and economic hub for Africa, including luxury apartments, a cryptocurrency-based economy and progressive energy solutions.

Akon stressed the magnitude and complexity of the effort: “It’s a city. Nowhere near [done].”

Early plans included 2,000 acres and a $6 billion price tag to complete. Akon and his team broke ground in 2020.

Akon City continues to be a beacon of hope and innovation for the African continent. It is located at Mbodiene, Senegal, with the goal to attract tourists, entrepreneurs and investors. However, Akon has repeatedly said that the project is also about creating opportunities for Africans to thrive.

“Senegal is home to my family and heritage,” Akon shared when first announcing the project. “I want to make a lasting impact that bridges the gap between the people of Senegal and the rest of the world.”

“It’s a process,” he told AllHipHop, suggesting the gravity of the lift.

Akon continues to expand his musical empire and has anew chart-topping single called “Beautiful Day.”

EXCLUSIVE: The Game Fights For His Mansion In Court As Priscilla Rainey Case Drags On

The Game’s ongoing legal drama with former She Got Game contestant Priscilla Rainey appears to have no end in sight. The latest involves the “Hate It or Love It” rapper’s Los Angeles mansion, which Rainey has been trying to get her hands on for months in an effort to collect a $7.1 million judgement.

In new court documents filed on Wednesday (November 20) and obtained by AllHipHop, The Game is asking the court dismiss the Order for Sale of Dwelling and order the Marshal to release the levy. In August, Rainey served The Game and his manager, Wack 100, in hopes of seizing his Calabasas property.

A process server sent a notice of levy, writ of execution and more to The Game and Wack 100 on Rainey’s behalf in June. Both men were listed at the same address. Rainey accused The Game of transferring his home’s deed to Wack 100 to prevent her from seizing it. But The Game denies being personally served at all.

“No individual delivered any court papers to me on August 22, 2024 at any location,” The Game says. “No individual approached me on August 22, 2024 at any location and stated anything that would suggest to me they were attempting to serve me with court papers. I ultimately became aware of the Order to Show Cause Why Order for Sale of Dwelling Should Not Be Made from media reports about it.”

The docs continue to contest the claim The Game was personally served. His attorneys question the declarant’s story about serving the defendant (The Game) in detail.

“According to the declarant, Robert Sedillo, Jr., he personally served Defendant at 10:17 A.M,” they write. “The absence of a unit number in the description of Defendant’s alleged service suggests Mr. Sedillo does not claim to have served Defendant at any particular unit. According to the POS Mr. Sedillo then waited around for almost half an hour (24 minutes) before going to Unit B318 and leaving ‘the documents’ with an unnamed adult. But why?

“If Mr. Sedillo had in fact personally served Defendant at 10:17 A.M., service was complete and there was nothing left to be done. Delivering the documents to someone else, not Defendant, was an idle act; it was neither personal service, service by mail, or—standing alone—any kind of substitute service. The only reason for Mr. Sedillo to make the 10:41 A.M. delivery was because he did not actually personally serve Defendant at 10:17 A.M. as he claims.”

They continue, “Given that Defendant was not personally served, a reasonable reading of Mr. Sedillo’s POS is that he personally arrived at xxxx Canterbury Drive at 10:17 A.M. and staked it out for approximately 24 minutes before leaving the documents with someone in unit B318. This is neither personal service nor service by mail.”

Sedillo claimed he served The Game with an order regarding the proposed sale of a dwelling, a notice of a hearing for a right to a homestead exemption and other documents on August 22. But The Game is clearly denying such an event ever took place.

Rainey sued The Game for sexual battery in 2015. Rainey accused the rapper of reaching his hand inside her dress and rubbing her private parts during an off-camera date. After The Game didn’t show up for court, the judge sided with Rainey and she was given the default judgement. She’s been relentless in the pursuit of that money ever since.

Jussie Smollett’s Conviction In Hate Crime Hoax Case Reversed By Illinois Supreme Court

In a landmark decision, the Illinois Supreme Court has overturned Jussie Smollett’s criminal conviction related to his 2019 hate crime hoax case. The unanimous ruling declared that the original plea deal made between Smollett and Cook County prosecutors must be upheld, preventing any further prosecution on the matter.

The court’s decision centered not on Smollett’s guilt or innocence but on the principle of honoring agreements made by the state. Special Prosecutor Dan K. Webb, who was appointed to the case five months after Cook County D.A. Kim Foxx negotiated a plea agreement with Smollett, expressed his disappointment with the ruling.

Webb emphasized that the court’s decision was unrelated to his two years of work on the case, stating, “This was an unprecedented resolution driven by the plea deal,” according to a statement issued to TMZ.

Webb remains firm in his belief that Smollett is guilty of orchestrating the attack and criticized the original plea deal for creating this outcome.

The controversy traces back to 2019, when the former Empire actor claimed he was attacked by two men shouting racial and homophobic slurs while invoking Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. However, the investigation revealed that Smollett had staged the attack with the assistance of Abimbola and Ola Osundairo, two brothers who were friends of the actor.

In her plea deal, Foxx required Smollett to forfeit his $10,000 bond and complete 15 hours of community service, which he surpassed by completing 18 hours. The Supreme Court noted that the state must honor its agreement. “The State is bound by the agreement,” the court stated in its ruling.

Smollett’s attorney, Nenye Uche, described the decision as a win for justice and due process, telling TMZ, “This was not a prosecution based on facts, rather it was a vindictive persecution, and such a proceeding has no place in our criminal justice system.”

Uche added that the case highlighted the influence of public opinion on high-profile prosecutions, arguing that “the public wanted Jussie convicted” regardless of reasonable doubt.

While Smollett now has a clean legal slate, his reputation remains tarnished. The case has become a touchstone for those discrediting claims of racial injustice. Even before the Illinois Supreme Court’s ruling, Smollett’s name resurfaced in recent political discourse.

Following Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, a wave of racist text messages targeting Black Americans gained national attention. MAGA supporters dismissed the texts as fabricated, calling them a “Jussie Smollett hoax” on social media, linking the actor’s case to contemporary racial issues.

The texts, sent to Black college students, young professionals, and others, referenced slavery and racial tropes, with one NAACP official labeling them a reflection of an emboldened hate culture. “These messages represent an alarming increase in vile and abhorrent rhetoric,” said NAACP CEO Derrick Johnson.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries condemned the messages as part of a broader trend of racial intimidation but was met with accusations of exaggeration from Trump supporters. Smollett’s case, widely ridiculed on X (formerly Twitter), became a rallying cry for skeptics dismissing concerns about racial injustice.

Although Smollett has escaped further legal repercussions, the lasting impact on his public image underscores how polarizing his case remains in the cultural and political landscape. For many, his story has become a symbol of disinformation, complicating any efforts he might make to rehabilitate his reputation.

Dr. Dre Reverts To Prime MC Form With Snoop Dogg & Alus On New ‘Missionary’ Single

Dr. Dre has dusted off his lyrical notepad and exercised his pen game on the latest single to arrive from he and Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album Missionary.

On Thursday (November 21), the legendary West Coast duo unleashed their Dr. Dre, Dem Jointz, BoogzDaBeast-produced record entitled “Outta Da Blue” featuring Alus. Equipped with an ear-worming sample layered over energizing drums, the track captures Dre and Snoop going bar-for-bar with each other as if the year was 1999 and “The Next Episode” was taking over the radio airwaves around the world once again.

The arrival of the potent album rollout-assisting banger follows widespread acclaim the duo received after teasing a snippet of the track to warm reception during their appearance on the live episode of Drink Champs at ComplexCon earlier this month. Adding fuel to the fiery hype surrounding the single, “Outta Da Blue” was also featured in the official trailer for Netflix’s upcoming film Back In Action, starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, which premieres in January 2025.

Mac Miller Project “Balloonerism” Gets 2025 Release Date

Mac Miller’s long-anticipated studio album Balloonerism will finally see the light of day. According to an Instagram post from the artist’s estate, the album— which was teased at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival on November 16—the project will arrive on January 17, 2025.

Accompanying the announcement is a first look at the album’s companion film, directed by Samuel Mason, offering fans a glimpse into the creative vision behind the project.

The release marks the culmination of a long-standing wish connected to the late artist, who died from an accidental drug overdose on September 7, 2018.

“Many of Malcolm’s fans are aware of Balloonerism, a full-length album that Malcolm created around the time of the release of Faces in 2014,” his family said in a statement. “It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm — to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately GO:OD AM and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.”

The estate shared that the decision to unveil Balloonerism was deeply rooted in honoring Mac Miller’s artistic integrity.

“We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist,” the family added. “Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing Balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world. With that in mind, we’re happy to announce that Balloonerism will be released on January 17, 2025.”

The album stems from a particularly prolific era of Mac Miller’s career, one that also produced fan-favorite projects like Watching Movies with the Sound Off, Delusional Thomas and Faces.

Known for his genre-defying experimentation, the release promises to mirror the fearless creativity that defined this critical phase of his artistry.

The upcoming project will be sold in a variety of physical formats, including CD, cassette and vinyl. Fans can choose from two distinctive vinyl editions offered exclusively through balloonerism.com.

These include a one-time deluxe pressing featuring a rainbow foil-wrapped slipcase, white splatter cloud vinyl and a 32-page color booklet. A second limited pressing will feature a clear vinyl design.

50 Cent Shows Love To Dame Dash Despite Months Of Ruthless Trolling

50 Cent is cutting Dame Dash some slack after months of relentless trolling amid a years-long rivalry.

In an unexpected turn of events, on Thursday morning (November 21), the G-Unit boss showed Dame some love, and his compassionate side, calling on his followers to support the former Roc-A-Fella mogul’s latest venture.

50 Cent took to Instagram with a video of Dame Dash encouraging a fan to check out his America Nu Network and “give it a shot.”

“See where all the money is, see why I’m broke,” Dame says in the clip.

Although he sent a jab at Dame Dash, saying he “[runs] his mouth [too] much,” 50 Cent urged, “but check out America NU.”

He added, “I don’t like the s### he said but I don’t care to see him fvcked up !”

Dame previously challenged 50 Cent to a CEO-level battle in response to the rapper calling him broke.

“Somebody definitely sent me that cute s##t 50 said about me not having no money,” he began. “I feel like now me and 50 should have a battle, and no gangster s##t. I’m 53 years old. That would be whack and corny for the culture.”

Instead, Dame Dash proposed he and 50 Cent compete in a battle of business acumen.

“He’s in the television network business now,” Dame continued. “So if I was a rapper, I would be like, alright, I’m going to make a diss record, you make a diss record. Now let’s not do that. Let’s do CEO War, right?”

Meanwhile, his recent comments aren’t the only time Dame Dash claimed he is broke. Back in August, Dame said, “investing in my dreams” led to his financial woes.

“Somebody asked me how I got so broke. Investing in my dreams,” Dame explained. “You know, when you’re investing in your dreams and you dream big, you’re always gonna be broke…or have a lot of s###. But I don’t have no money for nobody else. That’s what you call broke. But that’s what it is.”

Boosie Badazz Plans To Impregnate Fiancée Days After She Gives Birth

Boosie Badazz is yet to welcome baby number nine, but the Baton Rouge rapper is intent on having his tenth child as soon as possible and plans on getting down to business days after his fiancée gives birth.

The rapper recently announced his fiancée, Rajel Nelson, is pregnant with his ninth child. The couple are expecting a little girl, but Boosie had set his heart on another son and wants to start trying for a boy without delay.

“Yeah, I wanted a boy,” he admitted during a recent Instagram Live. “I ain’t tripping I’ma to put another one in her right after that. Other people wait six weeks, I don’t wait six days. I ain’t waiting six days. I’m gone get that boy.”

Boosie doubled down, saying, “I’m going right back in there. I’m finna load her up.”

When a fan said Boosie was “trying to stop [Nelson’s] motion,” he agreed. “Yup,” he added. “Sit your ass down.”

Speaking directly to his fiancée, Boosie joked, “You doing too much. Sit your ass down. Cook, clean and wash dishes and fold up clothes and enjoy this s###. I got this. Ya heard me. Yeah, sit your ass down and breed.”

While Boosie seemingly wants his fiancée to become a full-time baby-maker, fans previously accused of her trying to trap Boosie with a child, branding her a golddigger.

“I get up and make my coins just like everybody else,” she asserted earlier this month. “Now if you living off your n####, that’s your business but don’t try to pin my life to yours. Now clock that tea.”

While Boosie wants to extend his growing family even further, his relationship with his daughter, Poison Ivi, is far from rosy. The 22-year-old rising rapper recently broke down while calling out her father’s hypocrisy over his remarks about her sexuality.

Did Drake Confirm French Montana Rift Over With Latest Move Or Just Business?

Drake and French Montana were said to be at odds earlier this year with rumors the former collaborators had fallen out over an alleged cease and desist letter.

Rick Ross was one of multiple rappers waging at Drake earlier this year. In addition to trolling him incessantly, Rozay fired at the OVO founder in his “Champagne Moments” diss while dragging French into the feud.

He accused Drake of sending French Montana a cease and desist letter over an unreleased collab. While neither French nor Drizzy addressed the allegations directly, the rumors of bad blood persisted.

However, Drake’s latest Instagram Story post set tongues wagging, with many on social media claiming the Toronto superstar is extending an olive branch to French Montana.

On Wednesday night (November 20), Drake shared French’s post promoting his newly released documentary For Khadija

Drake fans shared the post online, with some taking it as a sign the beef is squashed and others asking Rick Ross for his updated thoughts.

While Drake seemingly showing love to French Montana could imply they’re good, the real reason he shared the post is likely far simpler. Drake served as executive producer for the project.

French revealed Drake’s role in the project last April ahead of the premiere at the Tribeca Festival.

“For Khadija. That’s for my mother,” he explained. “You know she came out here and sacrificed for us. My father had left and she stayed, and she helped me become who I became, so I dedicated it to her. Drake is executive producing it.”
